Hello Daniel, it was nice to see you all last month,
you had nice weather for the UK tour.
Peter Glazebrook won many prizes in the Giant
vegetable Competition at the Harrogate Show, he had the heaviest single onion
which weighed in at fifteen pounds and one and a half ounces (6.86 kg ), he
also won the three heaviest onions, the heaviest cabbage (30.5kg ), heaviest
potato and the longest bean. he came second in the largest marrow.
I Have been summer pruning the pears today and digging
my main crop potatoes, most of my peaches are now lying on the polytunnel
floor, I don't have the time to pick them, most will get used though.
I enclose a picture of Peter's prize winning onion and
cabbage. Also going back to July a picture of my basket at Tatton
Park Fruit & Vegetable Competition, which you might find interesting,
