Harvard Scientists Say There May Be an Unknown, Technologically Advanced Civilization Hiding on Earth
Harvard Scientists Say There May Be an Unknown, Technologically Advanced Civilization Hiding on Earth
What if — stick with us here — an unknown technological civilization is hiding right here on Earth, sheltering in bases deep underground and possibly even emerging with UFOs or disguised as everyday humans?
In a new paper that’s bound to raise eyebrows in the scientific community, a team of researchers from Harvard and Montana Technological University speculates that sightings of “Unidentified Anomalous Phemonemona” (UAP) — bureaucracy-speak for UFOs, basically — “may reflect activities of intelligent beings concealed in stealth here on Earth (e.g., underground), and/or its near environs (e.g., the Moon), and/or even ‘walking among us’ (e.g., passing as humans).”
Yes, that’s a direct quote from the paper. Needless to say, the researchers admit, this idea of hidden “crypoterrestrials” is a highly exotic hypothesis that’s “likely to be regarded skeptically by most scientists.” Nonetheless, they argue, the theory “deserves genuine consideration in a spirit of epistemic humility and openness.”
The interest in unexplained sightings of UFOs by military personnel has grown considerably over the past decade or so. This attention grew to a peak last summer, when former Air Force intelligence officer and whistleblower David Grusch testified in front of Congress, claiming that the US had already recovered alien spacecraft as part of a decades-long UFO retrieval program.
That hasn’t dissuaded these Harvard researchers, though. In the paper, they suggest a range of possibilities, each more outlandish than the next.
First is that a “remnant form” of an ancient, highly advanced human civilization is still hanging around, observing us. Second is that an intelligent species evolved independently of humans in the distant past, possibly from “intelligent dinosaurs,” and is now hiding their presence from us. Third is that these hidden occupants of Earth traveled here from another planet or time period. And fourth — please keep a straight face, everybody — is that these unknown inhabitants of Earth are “less technological than magical,” which the researchers liken to “earthbound angels.”
UFO sightings of “craft and other phenomena (e.g., ‘orbs’) appearing to enter/exit potential underground access points, like volcanoes,” they write, could be evidence that these cryptoterrestrials may not be drawn to these spots, but actually reside in underground or underwater bases.
The paper quotes former House Representative Mike Gallagher, who suggested last year that one explanation for the UFO sightings might be “an ancient civilization that’s just been hiding here, for all this time, and is suddenly showing itself right now,” following Grusch’s testimony.
The researchers didn’t stop there, even suggesting that these cryptoterrestrials may take on different, non-human primate or even reptile forms.
Beyond residing deep underground, they even speculate that this mysterious species could even be concealing themselves on the Moon or have mastered the art of blending in as human beings, a folk theory that has inspired countless works of science fiction.
Another explanation, as put forward by controversial Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb, suggests that other ancient civilizations may have lived on “planets like Mars or Earth” but a “billion years apart and hence were not aware of each other.”
Of course, these are all “far-fetched” hypotheses, as the scientists admit, and deserve to be regarded with plenty of skepticism.
“We entertain them here because some aspects of UAP are strange enough that they seem to call for unconventional explanations,” the paper reads.
“It may be exceedingly improbable, but hopefully this paper has shown it should nevertheless be kept on the table as we seek to understand the ongoing empirical mystery of UAP,” the researchers conclude.
Strange Lights, Abductions, and Close Encounters: The “Forgotten” UFO Waves!
Most people in UFO circles are aware of the UFO wave of 1947 that, essentially, kick-started the Modern UFO Era, as well as the subsequent waves that followed throughout the fifties and sixties. Likewise, many are aware of the waves of airship sightings that swept the United States, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. There are, though, many other UFO waves, sometimes specific to a particular country, that have flared up since the second half of the twentieth century, all of which are as intriguing as they are unique.
Perhaps a good place to start with these all-but-forgotten UFO waves would be with a series of strange aerial encounters that took place just over two decades before the start of the Modern UFO Era in the summer of 1926 over Maitland in Canada. The first of these sightings was documented in an article that appeared in the July 7th, 1926 edition of the Courier and Freeman newspaper. The article detailed several sightings of strange objects that had been made in the previous weeks, with many of the details being remarkably similar to the reports that would be made over the decades that would follow. Reports of strange objects over Maitland had been swirling for several months, with the first of these coming from the communities on the outskirts of the city. The details of these reports were remarkably similar to each other, including the detail of some kind of “searchlight” stretching down to the ground from the underside of these strange crafts. One witness, Peter Cunningham, a local farmer, stated that these lights “moved rapidly” and seemed to be “attached to a flying machine of some description”.
Another farmer, who wished to remain anonymous and who was from the nearby town of Prescott, claimed to have seen a strange light moving over his farm one evening. He stated that “the head one” seemed to have some kind of “powerful searchlight” that was “turned downward”. He also claimed, like many other witnesses during the Maitland UFO wave, that the lights appeared to be looking for someone, or something, on the ground. Moreover, Cunningham further claimed that this searchlight caused his cattle and horses to become extremely anxious and agitated. It is also interesting to note that Cunningham, again, similar to many of the other reports, claimed that this object moved in complete silence.
One of the strangest and most interesting reports of the Maitland UFO wave unfolded in the Brockville region of the city. An anonymous woman claimed that she had seen bizarre lights near her home on two separate occasions. Each time, the lights hovered directly above her house at an altitude of no more than several hundred feet. However, unlike many of the other reports, she claimed to have seen a humanoid figure that appeared to be “enveloped” in the light and who appeared to be holding an object that appeared similar to a rifle. This last detail, incidentally, has caused many people to suggest that this, and perhaps many of the other sightings of the 1926 wave, were, in fact, bootleggers looking to smuggle alcohol across the border to the United States, which was still under the Prohibition laws.
Three decades later in Japan, a surge of sightings was reported throughout 1958, with a hefty concentration unfolding throughout the summer. In mid-July, for example, multiple people witnessed an “object resembling a flying saucer” fly directly over Chitose Air Base near Hokkaido. The encounter began at a little after 9 pm on the evening of July 17th, when a security guard noticed a strange object approaching the base. Not long after, a soldier in the base’s control tower noticed what he later described as a “reddish star-like object” heading in their direction at an altitude of around 300 feet. Moreover, as well as the two visual sightings, radar operators soon declared the anomaly to be on their screens. When news of the sighting leaked out into the wider public arena, the base was asked to comment further by members of the media and UFO investigators. Interestingly or not, a spokesperson simply stated that “no such incident occurred” and refused to comment further.
While the summer certainly saw the UFO wave of Japan reach its peak, there had been a noticeable increase in UFO reports since the start of the year. On the evening of January 31st, for example, several United States Air Force pilots reported seeing “12 yellow-orange lights” flying in formations of three just outside Tokyo.
Several weeks later, on the evening of February 19th, at a United States military base in Asoiwayama near Hokkaido, several military personnel, who themselves were in the middle of a training exercise concerning monitoring Soviet targets, suddenly noticed a “strange return” on the radar systems. Whatever the anomalous object was, it was over the Sea of Japan. Moreover, it seemed to be expanding, eventually covering an area that was 25 miles wide and 65 miles in length. Stranger still, the mammoth object then rose from an altitude of around 3000 feet to one of 46,000 feet. At some point during the incident, the military personnel realized that the five Soviet military jets they had been tasked with watching were also aware of the aerial anomaly, with each jet approaching the object before turning away. It is worth noting that a “mock atomic battle” was in motion in the region at the time of the sighting, leading some investigators to suggest that it was this military exercise that had drawn the interest of the intelligence behind these objects.
It is also worth our time exploring a sighting that took place in early 1959, an incident documented by Timothy Good in his book Above Top Secret. Good came into possession of the account through a source who had been given it by a former colonel in the United States military. Moreover, in what is perhaps a clear indication of the military’s awareness following the wave of sightings the previous year, “four F-106 Delta Dart jets stationed in Okinawa and Misawa had been instrumented to track and fire on unidentified flying objects”. In fact, according to the witness, who was serving as a Weather Officer at a military facility just outside Tokyo, on the day in question, two of these jets stationed at Misawa were scrambled to intercept just such an unidentified object. One of these jets, however, suffered a serious malfunction before even leaving the runway, meaning that only one jet went off in pursuit of the aerial anomaly. The witness listened to the entire episode from the command center as it unfolded.
According to the witness report, the pilot was vectored toward the object by those in the control tower. A short time later, the pilot reported that he “had it in sight”, describing it as a “circular, metallic object” with a “cockpit on (the) top”. He then asked if he should “make a firing pass”. The control requested permission to fire from the Pentagon, which was granted. The pilot acted on his orders and fired his missiles at the strange craft. Moments later, however, his voice came over the radio, and it was a mixture of confusion and fright. He stated that the missiles had connected with their target and detonated, but “did not hit”. He elaborated that they “detonated just at the edge of it - like an invisible shield”. Then, things turned even stranger - and decidedly more ominous.
Over the radio, the pilot stated that the object appeared to be turning and had turned on “some kind of beam”. The next time he spoke, the terror in his voice was evident, as he blurted out, “They’re coming after me!” With that, the pilot put his plane into an immediate dive in an effort to outrun the craft. As soon as he did so, however, the object moved in the same direction, and it was closing in fast. Within moments, the two objects became one on the screen, with radar operators stating that there was “no separation” between the two objects. Then, the blip simply disappeared from the radar screen. Despite searches of the area taking place for several days, the witness stated that “they never did find anything”.
One other point of interest during the 1958 Japanese UFO wave was the emergence of a group that called themselves The Cosmic Brotherhood, and who claimed to have made contact with an extraterrestrial race with a device named the Master Unit Communicator. This device, they claimed, converted “sound waves to light waves and vice-versa”. They further detailed how they conducted these communication experiments on the top of Mount Takeo, just outside of Tokyo. Of course, how genuine and accurate these claims actually were remains open to debate.
A decade later, throughout 1968, Canada not only experienced a UFO wave, but a wave of encounters with humanoid entities. One of the first of these encounters unfolded in Saskatchewan on the evening of January 10th near the Carrot River. According to the report, on the night in question, the two witnesses were sitting in their parked vehicle close to the river when they noticed a strange light moving ahead of them. Moreover, as it moved, the object appeared to flash a bright blue color. They watched it for several moments, noticing that it disappeared and then reappeared in a different location, and did this several times. After 10 minutes, the object began changing colors, while at the same time, they could hear a bizarre “thumping” sound that seemed to come from the nearby forest.
Then, moments later, the two witnesses saw “several objects” pass in front of their line of sight. However, rather than being some kind of mechanical vehicle, the witnesses had the distinct impression that they were, in fact, “some kind of animal”. Eventually, when it was almost 1 am, the couple started the car engine and set out for home. However, it didn’t take them long to realize that the glowing object was following them, moving erratically as it did so. They eventually brought the craft to a stop outside their home, but remained in the vehicle, watching the glowing light for several more moments.
The next thing they realized, the object was heading straight towards them. As it did so, it disappeared for a second or two before reappearing again in a different location. As this was happening, they noticed a bizarre formation of ice appear all over the car. Stranger still, within the ice was the clear outline of what appeared to be a human face. They eventually left the vehicle and went inside the house. Whether the face in the ice was an attempt at some kind of communication remains unclear.
Just under three weeks later, on January 29th at Keats Island in British Columbia, another equally strange encounter unfolded. On the afternoon in question, after having witnessed several objects from her lonely cabin over the previous days, an anonymous female witness looked out once more at a strange but captivating display of lights overhead over a nearby lake. On this day, though, not long after she first noticed the glowing objects, “two men in neat, dark coveralls” suddenly appeared and knocked on her door. The two men claimed they were “from the water company”, but the woman was not convinced, recalling how they appeared nervous and awkward. Stranger still, after the brief conversation, the two men simply turned around and left very suddenly. In fact, the witness recalled it was almost as if they simply disappeared.
Several months later, in early April, an even more remarkable incident unfolded. On the night in question, at a little after 8 pm, in the Chicoutimi region of Quebec, Mrs. Tremblay was walking from her home to a nearby restaurant. As she walked, she dropped her bag and knelt to retrieve it from the path. As she did so, however, she noticed a “hovering UFO” a short distance away, hovering overhead. She rose back to her feet, keeping the object in focus, noticing that a strange beam of light came from the object, as if it was scanning the ground below. Her intrigue turned to concern when the light set out in her direction, and a moment later, more out of instinct than anything else, she closed her eyes. When she opened them a second later, the craft was no longer there.
At this point, Mrs. Tremblay was more than unsettled by the bizarre events and decided to turn around and return home. Moments later, her house was in her sights. However, before she opened the door to the property, she became aware of “something white and human-like” in the shadows a short distance from her. She remained where she was and stared into the darkness. As her eyes adjusted to the shadows, she could make out what appeared to be the outline of a human form, approximately the size of a child. Although she couldn’t make out any of the facial details, she could clearly see that the humanoid had glowing blue eyes. Moreover, it was seemingly staring straight at her. Then, with no warning whatsoever, the figure vanished before her eyes.
These encounters only increased as spring gave way to summer. One of the earliest of these summer incidents (the exact date is not known) occurred in Sarnia, Ontario. The witness, a 10-year-old child, had been asked by their parents to switch off the outside lights at the back door of the property. As they were doing so, however, they noticed a “glowing white humanoid” standing a short distance away from the house. The young girl remained at the window by the back door and watched the strange figure. After several moments, it stood upright, revealing itself to be at least six feet in height. This movement caused fright to take over the witness, and she screamed as she ran to the living room to her parents. Although her father ventured outside and searched the area with his flashlight (he found nothing out of the ordinary), her parents essentially dismissed her claims as nothing but an overactive imagination.
Interestingly, at approximately the same time, at around 9:30 pm in Quebec, Mrs. BL and Mrs. AB were returning home after an afternoon and evening of shopping, the full moon providing extra lighting as they walked past a vacant lot. Then, without warning, the brilliant light of the Moon suddenly went out, plunging them into an environment lit only by the (by comparison) dull streetlamps. Just as the women adjusted to the lack of moonlight, its bright glow returned. Instinctively, the two women looked upwards, and were more than shocked to see “two figures floating several feet above the ground”. Moreover, the two figures appeared to be heading toward them. The figures both wore the same style, tight-fitting one-piece suit, and both had the same disturbing “expressionless” look on their face. Before the figures could get any closer to the two women, they turned and ran in the opposite direction, not stopping until the strange entities were out of sight.
Another curious encounter took place in late July in the Burnaby region of British Columbia. On the night in question, Joan Howard was drifting off to sleep when she suddenly heard the sound of two voices speaking in German. Moreover, from what she could hear, they were speaking about her. Joan later stated that she believed these voices belonged to her spirit guides, both of whom were Germans who had been “killed in World War Two”. With this in mind, she simply returned to sleep. Whether Joan was accurate in this assessment is open to debate. What is certain, however, is that these voices were simply the start of a bizarre and thought-provoking encounter.
She awoke a short time later and immediately realized she was no longer in her bedroom. Instead, she was in an environment that looked “a cross between the Moon and Mars”. Multiple figures dressed in clothing that looked like “space suits” moved around her, while in the background, she could see several tall, futuristic-looking buildings. Then, one of the figures approached her and immediately began asking her questions. To her amazement, she could understand the questions and began answering them. As this was happening, and perhaps suggesting she was in some kind of trance or state, several other figures carried out experiments and procedures on her body. It was at this point that she realized she was “looking down” on her body, as if she were in the middle of an out-of-body experience. Incidentally or not, almost as soon as this realization came to her, she felt herself rush back into her physical body. One last point of interest is that Joan claimed to receive further visions and downloads of information each night for several weeks following the incident, elaborating that the entities behind these visions and downloads were “instructors of the universe”.
At around 9 pm on the evening of July 2nd, three encounters unfolded with very similar details, with two of the encounters taking place in the same location. The first of these occurred in Ontario when several residents reported seeing a “bright object” land in a field. Even stranger, “several shadowy beings” emerged from this object and entered several of the nearby homes. Unfortunately, there are other details about these events. At around the same time, though, in Quebec, a local woman saw a green, hat-shaped object pass by her home. She immediately went to the window and was shocked to see around “20 small men, all of green color” through a window on the side of the strange object. Once more, there are no further details of the incident, so it is unclear if the object physically landed or simply carried on into the distance.
Half an hour later, also in Quebec, Constable Michaud and his colleague were on routine patrol when they witnessed “two naked little men”, each around three feet in height, running through the drainage system. Moreover, when the two officers set out in pursuit of the strange figures, several members of the public witnessed it, with several of them stating that the two figures simply disappeared into thin air.
Quebec would have several more similar encounters during the summer. On the evening of July 22nd, for example, in St. Bruno, six young girls claimed to have witnessed a bizarre figure appear in front of them, as if it were a ghostly apparition. Two of the witnesses even claimed to have heard a strange “soft and slow” voice appear in their heads at the same time. On the same night, this time in St. Basile, a young boy reported seeing a strange man who appeared to be “walking in the sky”.
Four days later, at around 3 pm on July 26th, two young boys were close to a local airport hangar when they witnessed a “three-foot grey-skinned humanoid” a short distance away. After several moments, the strange entity seemed to realize the two boys were looking at it and immediately turned and ran toward another, almost identical creature. Moments later, both of the creatures turned and ran into the distance, the two boys noticing that their movements were “stiff”.
Two days later, at around 9 pm on July 28th, in the St. Stanislas De Kostka region, five residents witnessed “two circular objects with brilliant red halos” overhead. Several moments later, one of the objects descended and appeared to land close by. With a single flashlight between them, the group decided to investigate further. Upon arriving where they believed the object had landed, they were confronted with the sight of a bizarre humanoid, around four feet tall, with a large head and no visible neck. The group immediately turned and ran back in the direction they had come and back to the house they were staying in. Not long after they arrived back at the property, however, the creature suddenly appeared at one of the windows, knocking on it several times. It remained there for several minutes before retreating from the house and returning into the darkness of the night. A short time later, the witnesses saw the object rise into the air and disappear into the night sky.
Around a week later, at around 5 am in the early hours of August 4th in Quebec, three friends, Guy Gagne, Jean-Guy Girouard, and Carol Marquiseach, were returning home after spending the night at an all-night fair when they noticed a “strange creature” walking by the roadside that appeared to be injured, with the witnesses later stating that it “used its hands to balance itself like a monkey”. The three friends watched the creature for several moments as it steadied itself against a lamppost. Then, without any warning whatsoever, it leaped high into the air and disappeared. A moment later, it reappeared, this time on the other side of the road. The three friends later calculated that the creature had jumped over 30 feet from its original standing position (a detail, incidentally, reminiscent of accounts of Spring-Heeled Jack, who terrorized many residents of Victorian England throughout the nineteenth century).
Interestingly, at the same time as the wave of humanoid encounters in Canada, on the other side of the Atlantic in Spain, a similar wave was experienced, with the key difference being that many of these humanoids were described as Reptilian. One of the most intriguing of these unfolded on August 31st in the La Yesa mountain range near Valencia. At around 4 pm on the afternoon in question, three friends and adventure seekers were in the area and decided to stop to rest and have something to eat. Moments after they stopped, they witnessed a strange and sudden “flash” overhead. However, as none of the three had any interest in UFOs, they all paid little attention to this aerial anomaly, at least to begin with. Several moments later, though, when one of the group – Mateo Chover – walked to the edge of where they were resting to relieve himself, he saw a strange, grey-skinned, muscular humanoid entity near a tree a short distance away. Moreover, the face of this bizarre creature was reptilian in nature, with eyes that seemed to glow red. Even more alarming, where its hands should have been were razor-sharp claws, a white helmet with a visor in one claw. The creature wore some kind of coverall, white boots, and some kind of “metallic box” on its back. He was certain the creature was not aware of his presence; instead, it appeared to be waiting for someone or something.
His two friends were now aware of his prolonged absence and so set out in his direction. He quietly motioned for them to remain quiet as they approached. They joined him, and for several moments, all three of them watched the strange creature. In fact, they were so focused on the reptilian entity that they hardly noticed the “black, metallic, cylindrical object” appeared overhead at an altitude of around 20 feet. Despite the close proximity of the object, none of the group could hear a single sound come from it.
At this point, a wave of fear swept over the three friends, and all three of them threw themselves to the ground to keep out of sight. As they were contemplating how they could move away from the edge of the clearing without being seen, a loud metallic sound broke the silence, quickly followed by a bright flash of light overhead. Still fearing what was unfolding, the trio remained where they were for several more minutes before finally raising their heads to view the scene in front of them. Much to their relief, the menacing creature and the hovering UFO were no longer there. They took several moments to compose themselves and then ventured to the area where the strange creature had been standing. They immediately noticed the damage to the tree, as well as a strong smell of sulfur. Perhaps most remarkable of all, though, were the large footprints that were still visible on the ground. They later estimated that the footprints were the approximate equivalent of a size 16 (50) shoe. They further estimated that the creature was at least seven feet tall and likely weighed between 20 and 25 stone.
The three witnesses then investigated the immediate area around the scene, eventually finding the entrance to a cave. They initially contemplated if the creature might have taken cover in the cave. However, after exploring the entrance for several minutes, they concluded that the vegetation was too thick for them to gain access to the cave, although we might consider if this overgrown vegetation was part of a cover for the entrance. Ultimately, the three friends decided to report what they had seen to the local police. To their shock, the officer they spoke with simply offered that “many other people had seen them” and that these strange creatures were “normal” for this part of Spain.
Whether there is a connection or not, only three nights previously, at around 7:30 pm on August 28th, retired police officer, Pedro Galvez, had his own interesting encounter. He was walking through fields close to his home when his entire vision was filled with a bright light. He looked upwards and saw a bizarre object descending out of the early evening sky. He later described this object as looking similar to a tire with a large beam of light shining upwards from the middle of it. Then, as the object moved across the field, the beam of light swung downward and struck Galvez in the face, temporarily blinding him. By the time his sight returned, he could see the craft had almost reached the ground. From this proximity, he could see several windows in the side of the object, from which a bright glow emanated. Suddenly, three small objects were hurled to the ground from the craft, but were then gathered back up several moments later (we might suspect these “objects” were taking some kind of ground sample). After several more moments, the object rose into the air before heading off into the distance with great speed.
Four years later, in 1972, a wave of UFO encounters spread throughout South Africa, with one of the most intriguing occurring on the evening of June 26th at Fort Beaufort in Cape Province. On the evening in question, farmer Bernardus Smith was working in one of his fields, checking on the irrigation system, when he noticed one of his workers rushing in his direction. The worker blurted out that he had noticed smoke rising into the air in the distance. When he had gone to investigate, he had discovered a “shiny object with a star on top” that shot suddenly upwards out of the trees before coming to a sudden stop and hovering overhead. The farmer followed his worker and was more than shocked to see the hovering craft exactly where his worker had said it would be. He later reported that it glowed several different colors, from red to green and then to yellow. The farmer rushed home to call the local police before returning to the location with his rifle and firing several shots. When the police arrived, they too opened fire on the craft. However, the object simply rose into the air and disappeared from the location, seemingly sustaining no damage whatsoever.
Several months earlier, at around 7 pm on the evening of February 12th, in Durban, several residents reported seeing a disc-shaped object hovering directly over the town before disappearing into the distance. The following night, at around 8:30 pm, this time in the Forest Hills region, several residents reported seeing a strange formation of egg-shaped objects passing overhead at considerable speed. In Inanda on the same evening and at the same time, several witnesses claimed to have seen an “ovoid-shaped” object appear, disappear, and then reappear several times in a 15-minute period before heading off into the distance.
Several weeks later, on the evening of April 1st in the district of East London, several “unusual objects” were reported by multiple residents who claimed they performed maneuvers unlike any conventional aircraft. Around six weeks later, on May 18th, a bizarre object was seen making equally bizarre moves in the skies overhead, with another almost identical sighting was reported over Vryburg Molopo Road unfolding at around 10 pm on the evening of June 5th.
At around 8 pm on the evening of July, as a commercial airliner made its way over Durban, a strange light approached it and remained alongside it for several moments. Then, without warning, the glowing object suddenly shot off into the distance. On the same evening over Johannesburg, approximately an hour later, an almost identical object passed by a Boeing 727 just after it had begun its descent to land.
The following evening, beginning at 7 pm over Port Elizabeth, multiple residents of the city reported seeing strange objects overhead, with many of the reports stating these objects were of different shapes and sizes. Only 15 minutes later, over Braeside, several residents claimed to have seen a disc-shaped object performing almost impossible turns in the early evening sky. In the early hours of July 5th, in King William’s Town, several residents witnessed a “sailor cap-shaped” object descend and land in a nearby field before suddenly rising into the air and taking off again. In fact, throughout most of July, sightings across South Africa were reported every night, and while the sightings began to slow down as August unfolded, there were still some intriguing encounters.
On the evening of August 16th, for example, in Roosboom, a truly strange “creature with a square head” and flames around his feet was seen taking off from the ground before speeding through the air. Around a week later, in the same location, a sighting of a humanoid figure that wore a shiny white suit and was around 11 feet tall was witnessed moving through the sky, a strange, white fog seeming to envelope it as it did so.
In mid-November, several reports of strange aerial anomalies were reported over Rosmead, while the following day, an almost identical object was reported passing over Rosmead School. Just short of a week later, on the evening of November 17th in Middelburg, Gert Pretorius and his wife were driving on the outskirts of the city when they suddenly noticed a round, glowing object descend out of the night sky. It eventually came to a stop a short distance above the ground several feet in front of them, forcing them to bring their vehicle to a stop. Moments later, they saw two strange figures emerge from the craft, each standing around two to three feet tall and shining a strange red color. They seemed to have something akin to a flashlight in their hands, as well as a backpack on their backs. The flashlight was extremely bright, making wherever the figures shone appear like day. Then, without warning, the flashlight went out, and a moment later, the strange craft rose into the air and disappeared into the night sky with a great sky.
Just over two decades later, throughout 1993, a wave of UFO sightings unfolded over Israel, many of which received considerable news coverage. One of the most intriguing of these occurred at around 3 am in the early hours of March 30th and comes to us from the research files of humanoid researcher Albert Rosales. According to the report, Aviva Carmel awoke in her bed with a sudden and unexplainable urge to go outside, something she immediately gave in to. Once outside, she could see a huge “silver metallic craft” that was hovering almost directly overhead. Aviva continued to watch as the strange object landed close by. She remained where she was for several moments before deciding it was safe enough for her to approach the strange craft and take a closer look.
Before she could reach the object, though, she noticed a bizarre seven-foot-tall humanoid standing in front of it. The figure was wearing a skin-tight garment that appeared to be made of a material that was similar to foil, as well as wearing a helmet on its head with a dark visor covering its face. She remained where she was for several moments before eventually deciding to discreetly return to the house. The following day, however, she returned to the scene and discovered definite markings on the ground where the strange object had been. Moreover, within the parameters of these markings, all of the grass and vegetation was dead.
Just over two months later, also in Kadima, in the early hours of May 13th, Danny Rotem awoke suddenly. Similar to Aviva Carmel, he had a sudden urge to get out of bed, get dressed, enter his car, and start driving. He did so, and as he was driving along a quiet road with a forest running alongside it, he noticed a strange egg-shaped craft on the ground ahead of him. Although he didn’t understand why, he brought the car to a stop, turned off the engine, and got out of the vehicle before he set out walking towards the strange object. Before he reached it, however, a strange figure suddenly appeared in front of him. This figure was around two to three feet in height and told Danny, directly into his mind, that “we were waiting for you”. Once more, without fully understanding why he was doing so, Danny followed this figure towards the landed craft.
The next thing he realized, he was standing inside the craft (it is interesting to note that he had no memory of physically entering the object, something that shows up in many other alien abduction cases). Moreover, the room appeared to be much larger than the dimensions of the craft from the outside would suggest. He also recalled seeing a large pillar that stretched from the ceiling to the floor in the middle of the room, another detail that also shows up in many other alien abduction reports.
He looked around the room and claimed he counted no less than 13 figures in the room. Two of these figures approached him and led him to some kind of side-chamber. Once more, a voice appeared inside his head, telling him that he was “on a mission” and that he would “know what it is in time”. One of the creatures stepped forward and made a small incision in his wrist. The next thing he knew, he was waking up sitting in the driver’s seat of his car.
Just over two weeks later, in the early hours of May 30th in Bourgata, Hannah Somech awoke at a little after 3 am to the sound of her dog barking outside. She got out of bed, made her way downstairs, and over to the kitchen window. As she looked out, and much to her horror, she saw the dog “fly through the air” and slam into the garden wall. Determined to go to the dog’s aid, she immediately went to the door and pulled it open. However, when she tried to step outside, she was prevented from doing so by some kind of “invisible wall” in front of her. On the other side of this invisible divide, she suddenly became aware of a humanoid figure wearing bright orange overalls and standing at least eight feet tall. She recalled that, in her mind, she contemplated if the man was a prisoner who was attempting to rob the house. Almost as soon as she thought this, a voice appeared in her mind that was seemingly a resentful question that asked her, “You think I am a thief?” A moment later, the strange incident turned even stranger.
The next thing she realized, Hannah was screaming out loud at the menacing figure, asking what it had done to her dog. The response once more came directly into her mind, with the figure seemingly stating that the dog had “disturbed” him, just as “she was doing now”. Then, as an afterthought, the figure stated that it could “crush her but didn’t want to”. At this point, Hannah turned and ran back to her bedroom to wake her husband. By the time they returned to the door, however, the creature was no longer there. The couple did search their yard and discovered footprints that were equivalent to a size 16 shoe in the garden, very similar, incidentally, to the footprint the three adventurers discovered in Spain. With this in mind, then, might we contemplate if this creature was, in fact, a reptilian entity? Ultimately, the incident remains a complete mystery.
Around the same time as the above sighting, this time in Rishon Le Zion, a local resident reported seeing an eight-foot-tall humanoid wearing “silver coveralls” suddenly materialize in their bedroom. It remained there for several moments before it floated out of the apartment, even going through the wall as if it were a ghost. The witness then looked outside and saw the strange figure float towards a mushroom or disc-shaped object. As it reached it, a “hatch” opened in the side of the craft, and two other strange beings emerged. It isn’t clear what happened next, although we might assume the humanoid entered the craft before it disappeared.
In more recent times, during the summer of 2008, a bizarre UFO wave struck Bucks County, a town around 30 miles north of Philadelphia. One of the most mind-blowing of these UFO encounters unfolded on the night of June 3rd, when retired contractor and businessman, Cliff Taylor, was walking his dog, Rusty, around the quiet urban neighborhoods. Although the walk was uneventful, though pleasant. Several hours later, when Cliff and the rest of the family were asleep, the night would take a remarkable turn. Cliff and his wife slept in separate bedrooms due to Cliff’s chronic snoring. Rusty slept at the bottom of Cliff’s bed, as he was this particular night. At around 4 am, however, Cliff awoke to the sound of Rusty’s agitated barks. He immediately noticed some kind of flashing outside the property, as well as the presence of a strange mist. He leaped from his bed and went straight to the window.
He stared through the thick fog-like mist outside and was able to make out what appeared to be a solid hexagon-shaped craft. Moments later, the aerial anomaly emerged from the mist. Interestingly, Cliff later described the movement of the object as being stop-start, as if he were watching an old cinefilm that had every other frame removed. He stated that the object was approximately the size of a modern sports stadium and appeared to move in absolute silence. Realizing he was watching something truly out of the ordinary unfold, he called out to his wife. She did eventually arrive at the window, but the object had disappeared. Needless to say, she dismissed his claims and returned to bed. Cliff felt a huge sense of frustration, certain that he had seen something very real. Despite making several calls to the police and the newspaper, Cliff could find no other reports. Several weeks later, though, the craft returned.
At around 4 am in the early hours of July 27th, Cliff once more awoke to the agitated barks of Rusty. This time, an intense electrical storm raged outside, sending random flashes of light across his bedroom. Sensing something strange was afoot once more, he immediately made his way to the window and looked outside. There in front of him was the huge mothership-type craft he had seen several weeks earlier. It was as he watched the mammoth craft that he realized what he thought had been lightning was actually intense flashing lights on the underside of the object.
At this point, Cliff rushed to the front door of the house and ran outside. As he stared up at the craft, he realized for the first time that the mothership was, in fact, five or six individual vehicles that were somehow linked together. He later stated that each of these individual crafts was at least the size of a commercial airliner. The object eventually disappeared into the distance once more. Cliff Taylor, however, was now certain that what he had seen, on both occasions, was a vehicle that appeared to be of otherworldly origin.
It is interesting to contemplate why such a craft – or combination of crafts – should appear in the exact spot twice in several weeks. Is there some kind of portal or gateway close to the Taylor property, one that allows access from one realm of existence to another? Or could there be some kind of extraterrestrial, or even top-secret military base close by? Or could it be that there is something, unknown to us, of intense interest to the intelligence behind this strange craft? Of course, there were many more sightings of strange objects in Bucks County in 2008, so we might consider where the sightings of Cliff Taylor sit within this wave of sightings.
One of the first significant sightings of the 2008 Bucks County wave unfolded several months earlier, at around 10 pm on March 28th in the Montgomery County region. On the night in question, a resident was walking his dog when he noticed a strange object moving at a particularly fast pace. He watched the object for several moments before continuing on his walk. Several minutes later, however, he became aware of “four unusual looking shapes” that appeared to be heading towards him. Moreover, these four objects were moving at a significantly lower altitude than the object he had seen several minutes earlier. He noted that these objects were seemingly moving in complete silence, and each had a flashing red light at the top. The objects got closer and closer. At the last moment, however, they suddenly changed their direction and headed away from them.
At this point, the witness was more than unsettled and quickly made his way home, immediately informing his wife of what he had just witnessed. As he did so, he made his way to the window and looked outside. He was more than shocked to see the four objects, seemingly circling overhead above his house. He called out to his wife, telling her to look outside the window. She did so and saw the bizarre display for herself. Their son joined them moments later and also saw the four strange objects. All three of them agreed that the object appeared to be “looking for something” on the ground. They remained visible for almost 15 minutes before finally heading off into the distance. When they did, the family came away from the window, thinking the night’s events were over. However, moments later, the roaring sound of several military jets passed overhead. Of course, whether the jets’ presence was pure coincidence or not remains open to debate.
Another significant sighting occurred on the evening of April 20th in the Falls Township area, when a local woman woke in her apartment to hear her dog growling intensely. She noticed that the dog’s attention was on the sliding doors at the back of the room. Moments later, she heard an ominous “ripping” sound, “like someone was ripping someone’s (window) screen”. At this point, she got out of bed and looked out of the window, noticing “an object hovering around the sky”. She immediately backed away from the window, stating later that she “thought I would be sucked up, that’s how believable it was”. She decided to wake her husband, and they both watched the object from the apartment window. It remained visible for almost half an hour before it simply vanished.
Only three nights later, during a baseball game in Newtown, multiple people saw an “orange fireball” scream out of the sky. The night after that, on April 24th, near the Lincoln Highway, a resident was smoking a cigar on the deck of his property when he noticed an “egg-shaped UFO” flying in a straight line directly above the road. Then, as the man looked on in awe, the object suddenly dropped “straight down like an elevator” before it hovered for several moments just below the clouds. After several moments, it shot off into the distance, disappearing within seconds. Multiple other sightings of a very similar nature were reported over the following weeks, with one witness stating they saw a “disc-shaped object fly out of the clouds” from the downtown Bucks County apartment. Even stranger, a Bucks County police officer reported seeing an object shaped like a “sideways comma” moving silently across the sky before it morphed into a shape he simply couldn’t describe.
At around 4:20 am on the morning of June 3rd, a local man was sleeping when, for reasons he couldn’t fully explain, he suddenly awoke and felt a compulsion to walk over to his bedroom window. When he looked outside, he could see what looked like a “small cloud” that appeared to be heading in his direction. As this cloud got closer, he realized it was a solid object that looked like an “elongated hexagon”. He later stated that the object was approximately 100 feet by 100 feet and was flying at an altitude of around 500 feet. The object circled his house, remaining completely silent as it did so. Then, without warning, the object ascended into the sky with great speed.
A similar encounter unfolded several weeks later on the evening of June 23rd, when a Bucks County resident was taking pictures of “weird cloud formations”. When she viewed the pictures later that evening, however, she noticed that the cloud formations looked more akin to some kind of “vortexes”, perhaps the remains of a portal that an anomalous craft had just passed through. Of further interest, the witness reported seeing several black helicopters in the sky as she was taking the pictures. Only two days later, at around 1 am on June 25th, a “boomerang-shaped object” with blue, white, and green lights was reported by a resident who happened to be standing on his front porch. The witness claimed that a strange sound alerted them to something strange taking place, a sound that was “similar to a passenger jet but not as low and at a higher pitch”. The sound caused them to look upwards, which is when they noticed the strange craft moving across the sky “fairly low to the ground” and at a “fairly slow pace”. They noticed that the object had white lights on its underside that were evenly spaced out and contained a “football-shaped body”. On the evening of July 2nd, multiple people witnessed strange lights hovering directly over the Oxford Valley Mall, while on the same evening, multiple people also reported an orange light that was “falling from the sky” over I-95 between Bucks County and Philadelphia.
In the early hours of July 8th, several reports came from Bucks County residents of two orange lights, both different sizes, hovering overhead. On the same evening, multiple reports of a “pink light with blue fog” as well as “three other bright lights” were received. Two nights later, on July 10th, multiple residents witnessed a bizarre craft that appeared to be sending “fairy dust” down to the ground. At just before noon on July 16th in Philadelphia County, a resident noticed a bizarre “H-shaped object” hovering overhead. She watched the object for several minutes before it disappeared behind the trees at the roadside. When she reported the sighting later, she stated that the object was completely silent and moved much more slowly than one might expect. Moreover, she claimed that the craft reminded her of an X-Wing fighter from the Star Wars movies.
Undoubtedly, one of the most intriguing sightings occurred at around 10 pm on August 3rd, close to Philadelphia International Airport. The witness was on their apartment balcony when they noticed a strange “humming sound” coming from above them. Moments later, he could see a “bright ball of light” moving across the sky at a significant pace. He noticed immediately that the glowing object was moving much slowly than an airplane would, making him realize that he was seeing something completely out of the ordinary.
As the fall of 2008 turned into winter, sightings of these strange objects began to slow dramatically. During a MUFON conference in January 2009, it was noted that sightings in Bucks County had tripled during the calendar year of 2008. It is important to note, however, that sightings of strange aerial objects continue in Bucks County, as well as the entire state of Pennsylvania, today. It is also interesting to note, although we won’t detail them here, that during the Bucks County UFO wave of 2008, reports of Bigfoot encounters also increased, most often in the same (relative) locations as the UFO reports.
It is important to note that the waves we have highlighted here are but some of the many lesser-known and almost forgotten UFO waves from history. The fact is, there are more flare-ups and surges of sightings of strange aerial objects around the planet than many people might think. Indeed, there are most likely many more that have yet to be recognized, hidden in plain sight as random encounters that are not connected. In fact, it is very likely that if every single UFO report were recorded, correlated, and placed in some kind of global database, we might find that these UFO waves are not waves at all, but a constant barrage of strange objects traversing our skies.
Far beyond Neptune, at the outer rim of our Solar System, astronomers have spotted what resembles a hidden “structure” or “band” of small worlds.
This newly identified feature, dubbed the “inner kernel” of the Kuiper Belt, sits just inside a previously known clump of objects, and may hold fresh clues to how the outer Solar System was built and reshaped over billions of years.
The Kuiper Belt is a vast ring of icy bodies beyond Neptune, home to Pluto and countless smaller objects. Astronomers have long known that this belt is not uniform, and that it contains subtle clumps and gaps, like the rings of Saturn seen from far away. One of these clumps is called the “kernel,” a tight crowd of small, cold, almost circular orbits centered around 44 times Earth’s distance from the Sun (44 astronomical units, or AU).
In the new study, the astronomy team from Princeton report evidence for a second, similar crowd just inside that one, at about 43 AU, which they dub the “inner kernel.” The objects in this inner kernel move on nearly circular paths, with low tilts relative to the Solar System’s main plane. According to the researchers, these traits mark these curious bodies as members of the “cold classical” Kuiper Belt, a population thought to have stayed relatively undisturbed since the early days of the Solar System.
Across a catalog of 1,650 tracked Kuiper Belt Objects, the inner kernel appears as a real concentration of orbits: it spans about 42.4–43.6 AU in distance, and its members have especially low “free” eccentricities (a measure of how stretched their orbits are once after you strip away planetary gravity effects). The team estimates that objects in this inner kernel may make up around 7–10 percent of all so‑called classical Kuiper Belt objects, and roughly 14–21 percent of the coldest, most undisturbed ones.
So a big question now remains. Is the “kernel” and the “inner kernel” one large structure out there in the dark expanse of space, or are they separate?
The orbits of these objects are very stable. Their closest approaches to the Sun stay well above a theoretical “stability boundary” near 37 AU, and even in the most extreme case their paths don’t dip inside about 40 AU. That suggests they have not been violently scattered inward by Neptune, but instead survived more or less where they formed, or were gently moved there.
Compared with the outer kernel at 44 AU, the inner kernel looks “colder” in one key respect: its free eccentricities are smaller on average, meaning the orbits are more nearly circular when planetary influences are factored out. That difference could make the inner kernel a better example of how much shaking and shuffling the Kuiper Belt has experienced. If giant planets like Neptune migrated outward in jumps, as some models suggest, each jump could have left behind gravitational gaps in the belt’s structure. The presence of two closely spaced, cold clumps might be telling the story of how smooth or violent that process really was.
The main part of the Kuiper Belt begins at Neptune’s orbit
(Image: NASA).
There is also a strange piece of orbital context. The structure’s orbit has a particular resonance with Neptune. In simple terms, between the two clumps of Kuiper Belt objects, there is a special region where Neptune’s gravity keeps time with them in a steady rhythm called the 7:4 resonance. While Neptune goes around the Sun seven times, the objects in the belt goes around four times. In places like this, those repeated tugs can either sweep objects away or herd them together, a bit like a parent pushing a child on a swing in just the right rhythm, so the lack of objects between the two clumps might be caused by this resonance, although the researchers are not yet sure that this is really the reason.
This was an interesting find, according to the researchers, as it points to a possible cause of the “inner kernel” structure.
Beyond the discovery of this new structure inside the belt, the study is notable because the researchers turned to tools more familiar from data science than from traditional astronomy.
First, they re‑described each orbit in a way that tries to peel away the steady, predictable nudges from the giant planets. The raw orbital elements of a Kuiper Belt object, its eccentricity (how elongated the orbit is) and inclination (how tilted it is), are a mix of a “forced” part set by the collective gravity of the planets and a “free” part that reflects the object’s own history. Using established mathematical techniques from celestial mechanics, the team calculated these free components for each of the 1,650 objects in a recent catalog of classical Kuiper Belt objects.
They then fed each object’s distance from the Sun, free eccentricity, and free inclination into a clustering algorithm called DBSCAN (Density‑Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise). DBSCAN looks for dense swarms of points in a cloud of data, marking them as clusters, while treating isolated points as noise.
Because DBSCAN’s behavior depends on how you tune its settings, the team adopted a conservative strategy. They only trusted results from runs where the algorithm clearly picked out a “kernel‑like” feature matching the known 44 AU kernel, and then asked whether, under those same settings, another cluster appeared.
In every such case, the inner kernel popped out at about 43 AU. Changing the parameters slightly sometimes caused the algorithm to merge the inner and outer kernels into one broader cluster, underlining the ambiguity of whether these are two distinct structures or two peaks in a single large one.
“There are two alternative explanations that we cannot distinguish between: either the kernel is significantly larger than previously thought, or there is an additional distinct structure in the cold classical Kuiper belt,” the authors explained. “In either case, the inner kernel, as described here, is the additional component.”
For now, the authors are cautious. The inner kernel clearly shows up in the data as they have processed it, but it is not yet clear whether it is a truly separate structure or simply the inner edge of a larger, more complex kernel. It’s especially cold orbits, however, hint that it might carry a slightly different history, and that makes it valuable for testing models of how Neptune moved and how the outer Solar System settled into its current shape.
The real test will come with more data. The Vera C. Rubin Observatory’s Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST), due to begin full operations later this decade, is expected to discover and track thousands more Kuiper Belt objects. With that flood of new orbits, astronomers will be able to see whether the inner kernel sharpens into a well‑defined band or blurs into a broader structure.

NASA’s Voyager 1 space probe will continue its almost half-century of service by delivering yet another milestone: by this time next year, it should have reached a distance of 1 light-day from Earth.
Based on the most recent estimates, the revolutionary Voyager 1space probe is expected to achieve the feat on November 15, 2026, continuing its reign as the farthest-travelled human-made object. After flying by Jupiter, Saturn, and Titan, the spacecraft continued its journey into interstellar space.
The Speed of Light
Based on present-day physics, scientists know the speed of light is the greatest speed at which anything in our universe can travel. That astronomical rate is clocked at 186,000 miles per second. Due to the immense distances separating points in outer space, scientists have adopted the distance light travels in one year, 5.88 trillion miles, as a universal measurement scale.
Proxima Centauri is the star nearest to our own, even though that cosmic neighbor is 4.2 light-years away from Earth. Over four years of light-speed travel would be required to cross such a distance.
For shorter distances in space, scientists rely on astronomical units, which are equal to the distance between Earth and the Sun. Although humanity has yet to conquer light-speed travel, Voyager 1 still manages to zip along at the relatively quick 11 miles per second. This adds up to 3.5 AU each year as the craft continues its journey.
Communications Challenges
Somewhere in the middle of these two ends of the cosmic measuring scale is the less commonly used figure known as the “light day,” denoting the distance light travels in a single Earth day.
That distance has begun to add up and impact the effectiveness of communications with Voyager, which are maintained through NASA’s Deep Space Network. Mission engineers spent weeks last November dealing with just one episode of technical difficulties due to communications lag. At billions of miles from Earth, the commands and responses took 23 hours to travel in each direction from Voyager 1 to Earth.
During that event, silicon dioxide from a rubber diaphragm had accumulated in a fuel tank, cutting off a crucial fuel thruster tube. Thrust was drastically lowered, as the liquid hydrazine fuel was impeded from flowing freely. It took 40 small thrusts from the obstructed system to even push Voyager into proper alignment for effective communication with Earth.
In the end, the mission engineers elected to return to a set of thrusters that had themselves been turned off years earlier due to malfunctions, although of a less severe sort than those plaguing the system last year. At one point during the operation, power was so low that the mission team had to take the calculated risk of turning off Voyager 1’s heater in deep space to power the systems required to bring the old thrusters back online.
The Future of Voyager 1
Despite the challenges of communicating over such a massive distance, NASA plans to maintain contact with Voyager 1 as it crosses the monumental 16.1 billion-mile threshold to reach one full light-day from Earth.
The celebration may be bittersweet, though. Three radioisotope thermoelectric generators power the craft, which are expected to run out of energy in the next decade. Many of Voyager 1’s systems are no longer functional, as those generators are even now providing much less power than the craft utilized at launch. Over the years, many concessions have been made, reverting to backup thrusters, disabling instruments, and cutting power to keep the mission continuing long past its expected lifespan.
As such, the one light day milestone may be the last outstanding achievement for humanity’s farthest step into the cosmos.

The Origins of Disclosure: Crashes, Archives, and Secrets with Leslie Kean
The Origins of Disclosure: Crashes, Archives, and Secrets with Leslie Kean
Overview
Investigative journalist Leslie Kean sat down with host Peter Skafish on the Sol Forum to trace the “disclosure era” that has emerged around unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). Kean argues that today’s surge of official acknowledgment rests on a decades‑long, largely hidden effort by government officials, journalists, and researchers. She points to a series of high‑profile incidents, persistent Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) pushes, and internal memos that together form a “paper trail” of acknowledgment, even as many details remain classified or deliberately omitted.
Historic Crashes and Legal Battles
One of the earliest keystones in Kean’s narrative is the 1979 Kecksburg incident in Pennsylvania, where witnesses reported a fireball and a metallic object that allegedly crashed in a wooded area. Witnesses described seeing a fiery streak in the sky followed by the discovery of a mysterious metallic object. Local residents and witnesses indicated that the object resembled a spacecraft or a piece of advanced technology. Kean notes that a lawsuit filed against NASA in the early 1980s sought access to the agency’s investigative files, claiming that the government had retrieved the craft and concealed evidence. Although the suit was ultimately dismissed due to legal technicalities, the case revealed “multiple eyewitnesses, an unidentified object, and missing files” that continue to be cited by researchers as proof of a genuine crash retrieval. Kean emphasizes that the Kecksburg case set a precedent for later legal and investigative actions aimed at uncovering hidden material. It demonstrated the importance of grassroots advocacy and legal persistence in challenging government opacity regarding aerial phenomena.
Further back in history, the Roswell incident of 1947 remains a touchstone in UAP lore. Although officially dismissed as a weather balloon, whistleblowers and researchers have long argued otherwise. Kean describes how declassified documents, when scrutinized, hinted at a cover-up involving the recovery of unusual debris and possibly alien bodies. These revelations prompted ongoing efforts to push for transparency and led to a cultural and political climate increasingly receptive to investigating extraordinary claims. Decades later, the Roswell incident became a symbol of government secrecy and the need for scrutiny of official narratives.
Government Archives and FOIA
Efforts Kean highlights several internal government initiatives that have gradually opened the archives, serving as milestones in the ongoing disclosure process. In 2022, John Podesta’s FOIA push resulted in the release of a handful of declassified documents, including the Bolender memo, which acknowledges that the Department of Defense was still receiving civilian UFO reports in the 1990s. These documents, although limited in scope, provide glimpses into a long history of official interest and concern regarding aerial anomalies. Additionally, the efforts by Congressional figures like Harry Reid—former Senate Majority Leader—have been instrumental. Reid’s advocacy for the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) and its successor AASWAP led to the eventual public release of video footage showing unidentified objects performing maneuvers beyond known human technology, as well as a limited inventory of recovered materials. Kean points out that these releases often contain “quiet references to ‘classic’ UFO cases”—a term used internally to denote incidents predating the modern UAP terminology—suggesting that the government has long been aware of a broader phenomenon. The process of declassification, she explains, is often incremental and partial, reflecting the sensitive nature of certain knowledge and a cautious approach to public disclosure.
Deep Secrecy and Recent Revelations
The conversation also turned to the depth of secrecy surrounding UAP investigations. Kean cites the Wilson memo, a classified internal document that outlines a covert program tasked with “monitoring and analyzing anomalous aerial events” while restricting dissemination to a narrow circle of authorized personnel. She explains that her decision to publish former intelligence officer David Grusch’s allegations was not taken lightly; the story was cross‑checked against findings from an Office of the Inspector General (IG) investigation and corroborated by multiple independent sources. Kean stresses that the U.S. approach has been characterized by “systemic denial,” contrasting sharply with the openness displayed by other nations such as Canada, the United Kingdom, and, as previously mentioned, Chile. These countries have adopted more transparent policies and actively invite the public and scientific community to participate in investigations and data collection efforts. Kean suggests that the American government’s secrecy is rooted in a combination of national security concerns, fear of public panic, and a desire to maintain technological superiority.
The Wilson memo and other classified documents reveal that U.S. agencies have been aware of phenomena that challenge conventional understanding for decades. However, efforts to study or disclose this information have often been thwarted by bureaucratic inertia and classified compartmentalization. This systemic secrecy complicates efforts by outside researchers and journalists, who must piece together fragmented evidence from leaks, witness testimonies, and declassified unintentionally revealing documents. Kean underscores that new declassification initiatives could potentially accelerate the timeline toward full transparency, but political and institutional barriers remain formidable.
International Contrast and Outlook
Kean underscores that not all governments follow the United States’ pattern of secrecy. Chile, for example, operates an official UAP office within its civil aviation authority, regularly publishing reports and inviting public participation. This approach reflects a more transparent, collaborative attitude and demonstrates that openness can coexist with national security protocols. Kean views Chile’s model as a template for future U.S. policies—highlighting the importance of establishing institutional frameworks where scientific, governmental, and civilian entities work together openly. She also mentions emerging transparency efforts in countries like France and the United Kingdom, which have initiated more open dialogue and data-sharing strategies.
This international contrast underscores a fundamental question: why is the U.S. lagging behind in transparency? Kean suggests that internal cultural factors, political pressures, and differing perceptions of national security influence policy decisions. She advocates for a shift towards greater openness, emphasizing that public trust and scientific progress depend on honest, comprehensive disclosure of UAP encounters.
Looking ahead, Kean asserts that the current “disclosure era” is the product of “quiet, sustained work” over decades—an accumulated effort involving whistleblowers, investigative journalism, FOIA activism, and evolving governmental attitudes. As new technologies such as advanced sensors, radar, and AI-driven analysis become more widespread, the potential for breakthroughs increases. Kean remains cautiously optimistic that a future where UAPs are openly studied, and their origins understood, is possible. However, she stresses that this future hinges on continued pressure from journalists, legislators, and the public to move from modest releases to full accountability. The ongoing push for transparency may ultimately lead to paradigm shifts in science, defense, and our understanding of our place in the cosmos.
In conclusion, Leslie Kean’s insights illustrate that the path to UAP disclosure has been long, arduous, and intertwined with national security considerations, institutional reluctance, and societal interest. While recent years have seen remarkable strides—including declassified videos and congressional hearings—the full story remains elusive. Kean’s work advocates for persistence and transparency, arguing that openness about aerial anomalies is essential for scientific integrity, public trust, and future technological and cultural evolution. The history, current developments, and international perspectives she presents collectively emphasize that disclosure is not a single moment but a sustained journey—one that continues to unfold with every new revelation, research effort, and public demand for truth.
Stunning new photos show the pieces of the "other ATLAS," C/2025 K1, breaking apart in space after the golden comet suddenly exploded earlier this month.

In space, death can be a beautiful thing. That's certainly the case for the recently deceased "other" comet ATLAS, which is slowly breaking apart after meeting its explosive end earlier this month, stunning new images reveal.
C/2025 K1 (ATLAS) is a comet originating from the Oort Cloud beyond Neptune that was discovered in May by astronomers at the Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS). It reached its closest point to the sun, or perihelion, on Oct. 8, coming within 31 million miles (50 million kilometers) of our home star. But the comet largely went under the radar until earlier this month, when it developed a rare golden glow in its coma and tail.
It has become known as the "other ATLAS," thanks to its shared surname with the interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS, which has been dominating headlines since it was first spotted shooting through the solar system in July. The two comets have no relation, other than being detected by the same telescope network around the same time.
On Nov. 13, astronomers noticed that C/2025 K1 had broken apart into several pieces. Austrian astrophotographer Michael Jäger has been keeping a close eye on C/2025 K1 since it began to fall apart, and he has now shared a stunning timelapse animation that shows the fragments of the comet slowly separating from one another.
"Following brightness surges in early November, we have been able to observe this comet splitting into three brighter fragments for the past two weeks," Jäger told Spaceweather.com. "The animation shows it on November 12, 14, 18, 19, and 20th."
C/2025 K1 (ATLAS) reached its closest point to the sun on Oct. 8, and got more than four times closer to our home star than 3I/ATLAS. (Image credit: NASA/JPL)
The comet was not expected to survive its perihelion — astronomers predicted that the close proximity of its journey around the sun would place a huge amount of gravitational strain on the object. After its solar flyby, initial observations suggested that it had emerged unscathed. However, following a sudden brightening event, the comet then broke apart into three distinct pieces.
More recent photos have shown that a smaller fourth fragment also splintered from the comet, according to Spaceweather.com. However, this part of the comet is not visible in the new animation.
C/2025 K1 was one of just a handful of comets that have ever been seen with a golden hue (see below), which is likely the result of a surprising lack of carbon-bearing molecules, such as dicarbon, carbon monoxide and cyanide in its nucleus. In fact, only two other known comets have ever had fewer of these molecules, astronomer David Schleicher of Arizona's Lowell Observatory recently reported.
Researchers had hoped to learn more about the comet and its surprising composition during its closest approach to Earth on Tuesday (Nov. 25). However, this now seems unlikely.

Other ATLAS(s)
C/2025 K1 is not the first comet to bear the name ATLAS. In fact, dozens of other comets have been found by the Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System — a NASA-funded robotic survey, which has been scanning the night sky using telescopes in Hawaii, South Africa and Chile since 2015.
3I/ATLAS is currently on its way back out of the solar system, having reached its own perihelion on Oct. 29, and will reach its closest point to Earth on Dec. 19, when it will reach a minimum distance of 168 million miles (270 million km) from our planet. And despite what some people claim, the astronomical community is very much in agreement that it is not an alien spacecraft.
Only time will tell what wonders the future ATLAS comets will have in store for us.

Astronomers are racing to learn everything they can about the comet as it approaches its closest point to Earth on Dec 19., with some even having devised a new way to measure the size of the comet’s nuclei.
Good morning science fans, did you miss us? We’re back with big news, or for now just a very big claim, that an astrophysicist working with NASA’s Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope may have found the very first direct evidence for the existence of dark matter.
Dark matter is one of the universe's most mysterious components. It makes up 27% of our universe, with ordinary matter only accounting for 5%, but because it does not interact with light, it can't be detected directly.
But characteristic flashes spotted in this new study could be a smoking gun pointing to dark matter being made up of weakly interacting massive particles, or wimps, which are 500 times heavier than protons.
Much more work is needed to rule out other explanations, so astronomers are responding to the claims with characteristic caution. But if they can finally unveil the mass-ter of disguise, it will offer a major boost for our best theory of the universe.
Do UFOs Come from Parallel Dimensions? Scientific Theories
Do UFOs Come from Parallel Dimensions? Scientific Theories
1. Overview
The phenomenon of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) has long fascinated humanity, inspiring countless stories, theories, and debates about their origin. Traditionally, UFO sightings have been attributed to extraterrestrial visitors from distant planets, stimulated by movies, literature, and anecdotal reports. However, in recent years, a new and intriguing hypothesis has gained traction within scientific and academic circles: that some UFOs may not originate from other planets but instead from alternative dimensions or parallel universes.
This perspective shifts the focus from extraterrestrial civilizations traveling through space via advanced propulsion to the idea that UFOs could be interdimensional craft—vehicles capable of traversing different realities. Such a notion is rooted in modern physics, particularly in quantum mechanics, string theory, and multiverse hypotheses. These frameworks propose that our universe may be just one of many, existing across multiple dimensions, with different physical laws, constants, and properties.
Proponents of the interdimensional hypothesis argue that the unusual flight characteristics reported in many UFO sightings—such as instantaneous acceleration, abrupt directional changes, and apparent defiance of gravity—might be explained if these objects are shifting between or residing in alternate realms where the laws of physics differ from our observable universe. If true, this would revolutionize our understanding of reality, technology, and even consciousness, bridging the gap between science fiction and empirical science.
In this article, we will explore the scientific foundations for these ideas, analyze the evidence and challenges involved, and consider the broader implications of the hypothesis that UFOs originate from parallel or higher dimensions.
2. Theoretical Foundations
The hypothesis that UFOs may originate from alternate dimensions rests on some of the most advanced and speculative theories in contemporary physics. These theories aim to unify understanding of the universe's fundamental structure, often proposing the existence of realms beyond human perception, governed by different physical laws or constants.
a. Parallel Universes and Multiverse Concepts
One of the central constructs supporting the idea of interdimensional travel is the multiverse—the concept that our universe is just one among an enormous, possibly infinite, number of universes. This idea emerges from interpretations of quantum mechanics, cosmology, and string theory.
The multiverse notion can be categorized into several types:
Level I (Infinite Space): Our universe, which, due to the universe's vastness, contains regions with different initial conditions, but governed by the same physical laws.
Level II (Bubble Universes): Arising from cosmic inflation, different "bubble" universes could have varied physical constants and properties.
Level III (Many-Worlds): Derived from the Everett interpretation of quantum mechanics, suggesting every quantum event creates branches or parallel worlds.
Level IV (Mathematical Multiverse): Theorized by physicist Max Tegmark, proposing that all mathematical structures exist physically as universes with different laws of mathematics.
Within multiverse frameworks, parallel universes are envisioned as realms physically adjacent or overlapped with our own, yet separated by dimensions or boundaries imperceptible to us. Diverging from traditional science-fiction notions, these concepts are rooted in highly mathematical models that remain untestable with current technology, but offer consistent explanations within physics.
b. Extra Dimensions and String Theory
String theory posits that fundamental particles are not point-like but instead are small, vibrating strings. For the mathematics to work and be free of inconsistencies, string theory requires more than the three spatial dimensions we experience daily—specifically, it demands up to 10 or 11 total dimensions.
These additional dimensions are thought to be "compactified" or curled up at scales near the Planck length (~10^-35 meters), rendering them invisible and inaccessible to current experiments. Nonetheless, some models propose that higher or "large" extra dimensions could influence gravitational forces, potentially allowing shortcuts or portals between our observable universe and others.
The idea is that interdimensional travel might be akin to navigating through these extra dimensions, which could be larger or have different physical properties than the small curled-up ones posited by string theory. If such portals exist, an advanced civilization or technology might harness them for faster-than-light or non-spatial travel—possibly explaining some of the inexplicably rapid movements observed in UFO sightings.
c. Quantum Mechanics and Superposition
Quantum mechanics introduces the concept of particles existing in multiple states simultaneously—a superposition—and the influence of the observer on the state of particles. Some theorists interpret these phenomena as hints toward a layered reality, where multiple states or worlds coexist and interact at a fundamental level.
In particular, the Many-Worlds Interpretation suggests that all possible outcomes of quantum events occur in branching universes. While controversial, it lends conceptual support to the idea that realities can intersect or overlap, perhaps allowing phenomena or entities from one realm to manifest into another temporarily.
This raises intriguing questions about whether objects or entities could "leap" between states or realities via quantum effects, and whether UFOs could be manifestations of such inter-reality physics. Although speculative, this idea fuels the notion that what we see as UFOs might be the result of interdimensional crossings governed by quantum laws.

3. Expert Commentary
The scientific community remains cautious in adopting the interdimensional hypothesis, primarily due to the lack of direct empirical evidence. Nonetheless, some physicists advocate for exploring these ideas, especially in the context of unexplained phenomena.
Some have theorized that we made contact with a form of intelligent life but they aren't from outer space, they are ultraterrestrials from other dimensions.

a. Michio Kaku and Higher-Dimensional Physics
One of the most prominent voices supporting interdimensional travel is theoretical physicist Michio Kaku. Known for popularizing advanced concepts like string theory and multiverse cosmology, Kaku has publicly entertained the possibility that civilizations with sufficiently advanced technology could exploit higher dimensions for travel.
In a 2024 interview, Kaku stated: "If a civilization could master the mathematics of string theory, it might be able to slip into a neighboring brane and re-enter our space, appearing to us as a sudden flash or a craft that seems to ignore our laws of inertia." Here, "brane" refers to a multidimensional membrane within string theory where our universe resides. The idea is that if an object could access a neighboring brane—another dimension with different physical properties—it could traverse regions of space and time in ways impossible for our current technology.
He emphasizes that such interdimensional crossings would not necessarily require faster-than-light travel but would involve shifting into a higher or different dimension where the constraints of our physical constants, like the speed of light, may not apply. The craft would effectively "hop" between universes or dimensions, bypassing the physical limits that trap objects within our universe.
While speculative, Kaku’s assertions are grounded in the mathematics of string theory and higher-dimensional physics, providing a scientific veneer to an otherwise sci-fi concept. His arguments are bolstered by the fact that the equations describing particle behavior at the quantum level—such as quantum tunneling and entanglement—suggest that non-classical interactions across dimensions are at least theoretically conceivable.
b. Other Scientific Perspectives and Skepticism
While notable physicists entertain these ideas, the overall scientific consensus remains cautious. Many experts argue that current models lack empirical support, and with no tangible method to test or falsify the multiverse or interdimensional hypotheses, they remain speculative.
Critics point out that without experimental verification, these theories risk remaining philosophical musings rather than scientific facts. The challenge lies in developing technology capable of detecting or interacting with higher dimensions or parallel universes, a feat that may be centuries beyond current capabilities.
Nonetheless, some researchers advocate for indirect testing methods—such as high-energy physics experiments, gravitational wave detection, or observations of cosmic phenomena—that might hint at extra dimensions or multiverse effects. For example, anomalies in gravitational wave signals or deviations in fundamental constants could suggest phenomena beyond our current understanding, potentially linked to higher-dimensional physics.
4. Evaluating the Evidence
The hypothesis that some UFOs are interdimensional craft hinges on the interpretation of anomalous flight characteristics that defy known physics.

a. UFO Sightings and Flight Characteristics
Numerous reports cite UFOs with extraordinary capabilities:
- Instantaneous acceleration: Objects appearing to jump from a standstill to high speeds in a fraction of a second.
- Sharp angular turns: Making sudden, impossible maneuvers without apparent inertia or aerodynamic effects.
- Silent hovering and sudden disappearance: Remaining stationary or vanishing abruptly, often without noise.
- Lack of detectable propulsion: No visible exhaust or electromagnetic signatures.
These observations challenge our understanding of physics, especially the constraints imposed by energy requirements, inertia, and aerodynamics. Such flight profiles could, in principle, be explained by transformations through higher dimensions, where the constraints of our physical laws do not apply, allowing craft to "transcend" our spatial-temporal framework.
b. Empirical Data and Limitations
Despite anecdotal accounts and some corroborated sightings, systematic scientific analysis reveals significant limitations:
- The 2023 UFO report by the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence documented 144 incidents featuring "unexplained flight dynamics," yet it refrained from offering conclusive explanations.
- Many reports are subject to observer bias, atmospheric illusions, or instrumentation errors. For example, atmospheric phenomena like ball lightning, mirages, or drone interference can mimic extraordinary motion.
- High-quality, multi-sensor data—combining radar, infrared, and visual recordings—are scarce, making it difficult to conclusively analyze these phenomena.
Tic-Tac-shaped objects were recently reported zipping through the sky by jet-fighter pilots and radar operators. The Pentagon's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) was created to research and investigate Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), including numerous videos of reported encounters, three of which were released to the public in 2017.

c. Challenges in Confirming Interdimensional Origin
The primary challenge is scientific: without testable hypotheses or measurable interactions with these allegedly interdimensional crafts, the theory remains speculative. To establish credibility, researchers need:
- High-resolution data from multiple sensors.
- Observable interactions with the environment or instruments that cannot be explained by known physics.
- Reproducible experiments or controlled studies.
Until such data are available, the interdimensional hypothesis functions more as an intriguing framework than an empirically proven theory.

5. Implications and Future Directions
The notion that UFOs could originate from parallel dimensions, if validated, would have profound implications across several scientific disciplines and societal domains.
a. Impact on Physics and Cosmology
Empirical evidence of interdimensional craft would directly support multiverse and higher-dimensional theories, transforming our understanding of reality. It would:
- Validate models of string theory and brane-world scenarios.
- Provide clues about the fabric of spacetime and the nature of all existence.
- Enable scientists to explore new physics, potentially leading to revolutionary technological advances.
Such discoveries could also offer insights into the origins of the universe, the nature of dark matter and dark energy, and the fundamental limits of physical laws.

b. Technological and Societal Impact
Harnessing interdimensional travel could revolutionize transportation and energy:
- Travel across vast distances in space or time, reducing or eliminating the need for conventional propulsion.
- The possibility of accessing alternate realities might spark radical shifts in technology, medicine, and understanding of consciousness.
Society’s perception of reality, humanity’s place in the cosmos, and religious or philosophical views could also be profoundly affected. The confirmation of interdimensional visitors would challenge notions of objectivity, perception, and the uniqueness of human existence.
c. Scientific and Research Directions
Current efforts focus on:
- Developing more sensitive instruments for detecting anomalies in gravitational, electromagnetic, and quantum signals.
- Conducting multi-disciplinary research combining physics, neuroscience, and data science to explore consciousness and perception in relation to unexplained phenomena.
- Launching dedicated exoplanet and cosmic surveys to identify potential signatures of higher-dimensional effects.
Funding agencies like the National Science Foundation and private organizations recognize the importance of exploring "exotic physics" and allocate modest grants for relevant projects, aiming to develop testable models or find indirect evidence.
d. Ethical and Philosophical Considerations
The possibility of encountering other dimensions or realities raises vital questions:
- How should research be conducted ethically, especially if interdimensional beings possess consciousness?
- What are the implications for human identity if others exist beyond our perception?
- How do we communicate or interact cautiously with phenomena that may be beyond our understanding?
The scientific pursuit of interdimensional hypotheses demands rigorous standards, transparency, and interdisciplinary collaboration, balancing curiosity with caution.
6. Conclusion
The hypothesis that UFOs originate from parallel or higher dimensions integrates the frontier concepts of modern physics with the enduring mystery of unidentified aerial phenomena. While firmly rooted in speculative models like string theory, quantum mechanics, and multiverse cosmologies, it remains unproven and highly debated. Nonetheless, the intriguing flight characteristics of some UFO sightings and the mathematical consistency of these theories continue to inspire scientific inquiry.
Future technological advancements, meticulous data collection, and experimental innovation could bring us closer to understanding whether these phenomena are manifestations of unseen realms or simply artifacts of misinterpretation. Regardless of the outcome, exploring the possibility of interdimensional origins not only pushes the boundaries of physics but also challenges our notions of reality, perception, and humanity’s place in the universe.
In summary: The idea that UFOs come from alternate dimensions remains an exciting, scientifically plausible avenue of investigation—one that bridges our current knowledge with the unknown. If confirmed, it would fundamentally alter our understanding of the cosmos and open new horizons for discovery, technology, and philosophy.
Dan Farah, director and producer of the documentary “The Age of Disclosure,” recently appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast and discussed the subject of UFOs, secret government programs, and the cover-up of non-human intelligent life on Earth. Throughout the podcast, Farah presented his views on the extensive, decades-long secret programs dedicated to studying and reverse-engineering alien technology, as well as the deep secrecy surrounding these efforts.
Farah explained that “The Age of Disclosure” was created to provide a clear and credible narrative based strictly on interviews with high-level government officials and intelligence community members who have direct knowledge of these secret programs. The documentary discusses that these programs have been ongoing since the 1940s, with at least a trillion dollars in funding and thousands of people involved full-time, including ordinary Americans with families. He emphasized that, contrary to popular skepticism, people can keep secrets when their careers and lives are at stake, as illustrated by the testimonies of whistleblowers and officials who have come forward.
“The details of the Deeply Hidden Legacy program says that it’s at least over a trillion dollars spent since the 40s. It’s an enormous amount of money and it’s a much bigger program than people would suspect. You’re talking thousands of people full-time jobs, then going home to their families. The guy sitting next to your kids little league baseball game… It’s bonkers. And the idea, this is another thing that drives me nuts, the idea that people can’t keep secrets. Shut the up. Yes, they can.”
He discussed the betrayal of public trust as these programs lied to Congress, presidents, and the public. Farah pointed out that enormous amounts of money were misappropriated in these programs, some ending up in unauthorized hands. The secrecy extends to sitting presidents, some of whom have been kept in the dark intentionally by career bureaucrats.
Farah spoke about Donald Trump during his discussion on Joe Rogan’s podcast in relation to the topic of UFO disclosure and secret government programs. He mentioned that Donald Trump was made aware of some of the facts about these secret alien technology programs and unexplained aerial phenomena. According to him, Trump at one point considered publicly disclosing the truth about UFOs and the government’s secret knowledge but was ultimately deterred from doing so.
“Trump actually found out about the base facts in his last presidency and was contemplating stepping to the microphone… told Minutian that he was thinking about going public. Minutian reached out to Stratton to get a briefing and he told him that the reason he wanted the briefing is because he needed to be able to evaluate what the impact would be to the economy if the president decided to step to the mic and tell the world we’re not alone.”
Farah indicated that while Trump had the information and the opportunity, he faced significant opposition within the entrenched government bureaucracy, which actively resists transparency on this topic. There are powerful forces within the intelligence and defense communities that maintain strict secrecy, and this institutional resistance is a major barrier even for a sitting president who might want to bring the truth to the public.
The documentary features sensitive testimony from multiple political figures, including Senators Marco Rubio, Mike Rounds, and Kirsten Gillibrand, along with former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. They express their urgency regarding the threat posed by adversarial nations like China, potentially outpacing the US in reverse-engineering alien technology, a high-stakes race” that could determine global power in the future. Clapper affirmed publicly that unexplained aerial phenomena (UAP) activity over Area 51 is real and ongoing, contradicting official Air Force denials.
“Rubio’s biggest fear clearly is we are in a high-stakes technology race, a cold war race with adversarial nations like China to reverse engineer technology of non-human origin… If we don’t get our act together and take this more seriously as a country, we’re going to wake up one day, we’re going to find out the hard way that China got there. We won’t know when or how, but to quote him, we will be screwed.”
Farah detailed colorful firsthand accounts from military personnel, including security guards witnessing enormous UFOs the size of football fields hovering over sensitive military bases like Vandenberg. These sightings are backed by official reports, but the military and government have largely refused to release the available high-resolution security footage, fueling public frustration.
He discussed in detail the possible nature of the alien crafts and the non-human entities associated with them. He referenced four known types of these beings:
The first type is “the grays,” which are perhaps the most commonly depicted alien beings in popular culture.
The second type is called “the Nordics” or “tall whites,” described as tall humanoid beings with pale features.
The third type mentioned is “Reptilian beings,” which are often described as humanoid reptiles. The fourth type is mantis-like beings, resembling praying mantises in appearance.
Farah highlighted that some military insiders speak of small robotic “worker” beings connected with the grays. These smaller robotic entities appear to assist the larger alien beings in some capacity.
Importantly, Farah stressed that the intentions of these non-human beings are still unknown. The documentary does not conclusively say whether these entities are truly friendly, neutral, or hostile towards humanity. Instead, it raises the core question about whether these beings are actively monitoring humanity, possibly helping or guiding us, or if they remain indifferent or potentially harmful. This uncertainty about their motives remains one of the biggest mysteries addressed in “The Age of Disclosure.”
Farah talked about the startling biological and psychological consequences reported by UAP witnesses, such as family members encountering mysterious orb phenomena that cause medical issues. Some officials have experienced mind phenomena like remote viewing, a psychic ability to gather intelligence, which the government reportedly studied in secret programs such as Stargate.
Farah described how the energy required to perform feats observed in incidents like the Tic Tac UFO far exceeds current human capabilities and that some of this technology could revolutionize energy, space travel, and telecommunications if fully understood.
Unfortunately, progress is hindered by extreme classification and compartmentalization, designed to keep even defense contractors from fully accessing the technology.
Farah mentioned that the CIA holds primary control over many of these secret programs, which restricts the flow of information and coordination. Besides the CIA, other important players involved in these classified programs include the Department of Energy, the U.S. Air Force, and various defense contractors. This fragmented and tightly controlled structure creates barriers that prevent fully leveraging the recovered technology for scientific and military advancements, delaying potential breakthroughs and public disclosure.
Joe and Farah explored the consequences of nuclear tests conducted by the US and Russia, which may have damaged alien crafts or provoked them. Nuclear weapon sites and other military installations appear to be continuously monitored by UAPs, raising concerns about security and possible dangers posed by these interactions.
Farah argued strongly for government transparency and a mass amnesty program for those involved in the cover-up to come forward legally without fear of prosecution. This would help involve all the best minds to advance scientific understanding and safely manage the technology for humanity’s benefit. He compared it to the delicate situation surrounding nuclear technology, where dangerous weapons exist but energy production can be peaceful.
Regarding public disclosure, Farah said it needs to be carefully managed by a sitting US president, ideally presenting a unified narrative about humanity not being alone in the universe. While Donald Trump was aware of some of these facts and reportedly tasked individuals to investigate further, such disclosure requires overcoming entrenched bureaucratic opposition.
He described powerful cultural and psychological barriers to belief in UFOs and alien life, perpetuated by government-led stigma campaigns mocking believers as “crazy” or “conspiracy nuts.” This has suppressed rational discourse despite mounting, undeniable evidence.
Farah also discussed the serious dangers faced by whistleblowers who reveal information about secret UFO and alien technology programs. He shared anecdotes about how these individuals have been targeted with covert attacks, including the use of directed energy weapons, which are advanced and highly secretive methods designed to harm or incapacitate people silently. These attacks are meant to intimidate and silence whistleblowers to prevent them from exposing classified information.
“Some whistleblowers have been targeted with directed energy weapons… the investigation found evidence like etching in windows from a directed energy attack. They were literally physically targeted with something from a drone or from space. It’s designed to intimidate and silence.”
Farah also mentioned a particularly disturbing aspect involving individuals who were recruited into secret government programs as children. These programs allegedly suppress their memories of the experiences they went through, often using psychological manipulation or advanced technologies. Over time, these suppressed memories may resurface later in life, triggered by medical events or hypnosis, revealing the hidden truth about their involvement in these classified operations. This information points to the deep and troubling nature of these secret projects and the lengths to which the establishment goes to maintain secrecy.
The documentary reveals the complex, shadowy world of secret space programs, reverse engineering alien technology, multi-national competition with China and Russia, and the growing urgency to understand and prepare for potential contact with non-human intelligent life.

The number 40,000 might not sound particularly dramatic, but it represents humanity's growing catalogue of near Earth asteroids, rocky remnants from the Solar System's violent birth that cross paths with our planet's orbit. We've come a long way since 1898, when astronomers discovered the first of these wanderers, an asteroid called Eros.
Asteroid Eros captured by the NEAR spacecraft (Credit : NASA/JPL/JHUAPL)
For most of the twentieth century, discoveries came slowly, with astronomers spotting perhaps a handful of new asteroids each year. Then dedicated survey telescopes arrived in the 1990s and 2000s, purpose built to scan the sky methodically, and the numbers began climbing exponentially. The count reached 1,000 at the turn of the century, 15,000 by 2016, and 30,000 in 2022. This November, the 40,000 target was crossed, with roughly 10,000 of those discoveries made in just the past three years.
The acceleration shows no signs of slowing yet. New facilities like Chile's Vera C. Rubin Observatory, which opened this year, will discover tens of thousands more asteroids despite not being exclusively dedicated to asteroid hunting. Meanwhile, ESA's Flyeye telescopes use wide, almost insect like views of the sky to catch objects that slip past current surveys.
Near Earth asteroids are defined by proximity rather than size. Any space rock whose orbit brings it within about 45 million kilometres of Earth's orbit earns the designation, whether it's a few metres across or several kilometres wide. Each new discovery triggers a cascade of calculations, with astronomers using available observations to predict the object's path years, decades, even centuries ahead. Software systems assess whether any chance exists, however remote, of an Earth impact within the next century.

Almost 2,000 known near Earth asteroids have non zero impact probabilities over the next hundred years. Before panic sets in, most are tiny and pose negligible danger, with impact probabilities typically well below one percent. More reassuringly, the largest asteroids, those exceeding one kilometre that could cause global catastrophe, are also easiest to spot. Scientists believe the vast majority have already been found.£
Today's focus has shifted to mid sized asteroids between 100 and 300 metres wide. Much harder to detect, they would cause serious regional damage if they struck our planet. Current models suggest we've discovered only about 30 percent of these objects, leaving significant work ahead.
Fortunately, none of the 40,000 known asteroids pose any foreseeable threat. ESA isn't simply watching and waiting, though. The agency's Hera mission is currently travelling to asteroid Dimorphos to study the aftermath of NASA's deliberate impact test in 2022, helping transform asteroid deflection from concept to reliable planetary defence technique. What began with Eros in 1898 has become a global effort to catalogue neat Earth asteroid hazards and develop the tools to deflect them, each new discovery strengthening our ability to keep Earth safe.
The subject of “unidentified aerial phenomena” or “UAP,” more commonly known as UFOs, has surprisingly become a topic of serious discussion in the United States.
The Pentagon and Congressional leadership have both taken formal steps not only to acknowledge that encounters with unknown aerial objects are real but that these events deserve legitimate scrutiny by America’s vast national security apparatus. NASA and Harvard University have likewise joined in the fray. Two different prestigious defense and aerospace associations hosted discussions about UAP during their annual conferences recently.
Now, an international consortium wants to try and take the discussion even further by making UAP a topic of global discourse.
Dubbed “Project Titan,” if all goes according to plan, the European enclave of San Marino could become the “Geneva” of UFOs and host nation for a United Nations-backed World Conference dedicated to the study of unidentified aerial phenomena.
“In its contemporary form, the UAP/UFO phenomenon manifests itself for at least 70 years with pretty much the same characteristics all over the world and continues to remain a mystery,” Project Titan manager, Paolo Guizzardi, told The Debrief. “If we really want to advance in the knowledge of the phenomena, an open and collaborative international cooperation is indispensable.”
Last week, representatives from CUN and ICER gave a presentation to officials from the Republic of San Marino, formally requesting as a U.N. member state, San Marino to present the Office of the U.N. Secretary-General with a proposal for the creation of a permanent structure within the United Nations tasked with the organization of a periodic World Conference on UAP.
In presentation documents provided to The Debrief, organizers highlighted four primary reasons it is significantly necessary to have a United Nations-backed initiative on unidentified aerial phenomena.
Need for research: although more than seventy years have passed since the first UAP sighting of the contemporary era, the phenomenon persists, and its origins and nature remain shrouded in mystery.
The scale of the phenomenon: the manifestations of the UAP phenomenon are borderless, and there is a need to move beyond the phase of nationally based studies to a truly global dimension if such research is to be successful.
Very high potential at the scientific level.
Very high potential for technological spin-off.
Likewise, San Marino officials were provided with a rundown of UAP activity by the U.S. government, which has steadily increased since December 2017, when the New York Times revealed elements within the Department of Defense had been secretly studying UAP for nearly a decade.
In fact, as organizers were in San Marino staking their case, The Debrief broke the news that the House Armed Services Committee had submitted legislation to create a permanent UAP Office within the Pentagon. If passed, the UAP Office would replace the DoD’s current temporary UAP Task Force.
Proposers also noted that other nations, such as France and Chile, have been investigating UFO sightings for decades through officially backed government bodies.
Leading the current U.N. initiative, Paolo Guizzardi tells The Debrief that creating a formal way for the international community to take stock of recent UAP research is necessary if there is any hope of ever answering the UFO question.
“The Conference will create a favorable environment for the collegial discussion of items that until now have remained confined within national boundaries, for the sharing and spreading of knowledge until now restricted to national apparatus, and for the presentation and discussion of new ideas in the field,” Guizzardi explained.

Project Titan would not be the first time the subject of UFOs has officially come up at the United Nations.
In the spring of 1978, Prime Minister of the newly independent nation of Grenada, Eric Gairy, proposed creating a U.N.-backed global task force to study the nature and origin of UFOs.
Gairy and a panel of experts – including astronaut Col. Gordon Cooper, computer scientist Jacques Vallee, astronomer/astrophysicist Claude Poher, astronomer J. Allen Hynek, University of Colorado psychologist David Saunders and researchers Lee Spiegel and Leonard Stringfield -even met personally with U.N. Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim in July of 1978 to discuss the idea.
The same panel would later formally submit the proposal before the entire United Nations on November 28, 1978.
Contrary to popular belief, the idea of starting a global UFO investigative group was actually well received by the U.N. General Assembly. So well, in fact, thanks to leaked cables published by Wikileaks, we now know that following the presentation, the U.N. encouraged member states to “take appropriate steps to coordinate on a national level scientific research and investigation into extraterrestrial life, including unidentified flying objects, and to inform the Secretary-General of the observations, research, and evaluation of such activities.”
Discussion on creating an international UFO investigative group was slated to continue when the U.N. General Assembly reconvened in 1979. However, in March 1979, Gairy was ousted from power in a military coup by the communist New Jewel Movement leader, Maurice Bishop. Ironically, Gairy was at the U.N. when his government was overthrown.
Ultimately, the reason the 1978 proposal for a United Nations UFO committee never came to fruition wasn’t that the U.N. failed to take the topic seriously. Instead, no other member nation decided to push the initiative forward following Gairy’s ousting from power and subsequent exile to the United States.
Guizzardi and Project Titan supporters see San Marino as a perfect fit to pick up the torch where Grenada left off 43 years ago by leading the charge to make UAP a topic of international discourse.
“The Republic of San Marino is indeed the most natural choice for this, given that the Republic is not at all unfamiliar with the UAP issue, as for thirty editions it has been hosting the World Symposium on UFOs and related phenomena, organized by the Centro Ufologico Nazionale of Italy,” said Guizzardi. “Its proposal to the U.N. would therefore represent a natural extension of this activity.”

The stigma surrounding the topic of UFOs or UAP has lessened in recent years, thanks mainly to testimony by credible eye-witnesses like former U.S. Navy F/A-18 fighter pilot Ryan Graves and actions taken by the DoD and politicians.
However, thanks to extraordinary claims that lack concrete evidence or sensationalized affirmations by carnival barkers, public ridicule and caricatures of little green men still often plague efforts to establish any credible examinations of UAP.
That said, aside from one’s preexisting beliefs on the topic, there is precedent suggesting there is merit to Project Titan’s proposal of an international World Conference on UAP. In particular, the potential for scientific and technological breakthroughs.
In a previous interview, Dr. William Culbreth, an engineering professor at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, discussed how his unwitting involvement in one of the Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) UFO-centric carve-outs led to tangible scientific advances.
Unaware of the program’s UFO focus when he was asked to author two papers on tracking hypersonic vehicles and “aneutronic fusion propulsion” for the DIA’s 2009 Advanced Aerospace Weapons Systems Applications Program (AAWSAP), Dr. Culbreth said the work ultimately led to him examining new forms of nuclear propulsion technology.
“We’re looking into these propulsion technologies today, and this area alone led to several of my students pursuing PhDs who I don’t think otherwise would have,” said Dr. Culbreth.

With Project Titan organizers having presented their case, San Marino officials will now internally discuss whether to go forward with a proposal to the United Nations.
Should San Marino choose to move forward, the proposal for a World Conference on UAP will undergo a preliminary examination and discussion at the United Nations before being submitted to a vote by the General Assembly. If passed, the U.N. would then proceed with establishing the structure for the international UAP World Conference.
Guizzardi explained that it may be a month before San Marino officials reach a decision on the proposal. “At present, just a few days have passed since the submission of the proposal. It is difficult to make any forecast but I estimate that a period ranging from a couple of weeks to one full month is the more probable wait,” said Guizzardi.
In the meantime, Project Titan supporters are hopeful that San Marino will decide to move forward, and UAP will become a topic of collaborative, international discussion.
“The neutrality of San Marino makes it an excellent choice for an international forum of this kind,” said Guizzardi. “San Marino City could really become ‘the Geneva of the UFOs’.”
Scientists have captured the first–ever direct evidence for dark matter, the elusive substance that makes up more than a quarter of the universe.
Using NASA's Fermi telescope, researchers have detected powerful gamma–ray radiation emerging from a 'halo–like' structure surrounding the Milky Way.
Its frequency and intensity suggest that this could be dark matter.
According to the study's author, Professor Tomonori Totani of the University of Tokyo, this eerie image is the first time that humanity has been able to 'see' the mysterious substance.
For almost two decades, scientists have known that there is a glow of gamma–ray radiation coming from the heart of the Milky Way called the galactic centre (GC) excess.
However, the so–called 'halo signature' surrounding our galaxy is something that no scientist has ever seen before.
Speaking to Daily Mail, Professor Totani explained: 'While the GC excess is concentrated at the very centre of the Galaxy, my halo signal is thinly spread across the halo region.
'I believe it strongly suggests radiation from dark matter.'
Scientists have captured the first–ever direct evidence for dark matter, the elusive substance that makes up more than a quarter of the universe
But, despite its enormous importance to modern physics, scientists have only been able to observe dark matter indirectly by measuring its gravitational effects.
Now, Professor Totani believes he has finally found a way to change this.
Many scientists believe that dark matter is made up of something called weakly interacting massive particles, or WIMPs.
WIMPS are much larger than normal particles like protons, but don't interact with conventional matter – making them almost impossible to detect.
However, when two WIMPs collide, they are annihilated and release a burst of photons in the form of gamma–ray radiation.
Using 15 years of data from NASA's Fermi Gamma–ray Space Telescope, Professor Totani looked at a region of the galaxy where dark matter was thought to collect.
There, he found that gamma rays with an 'extremely large amount of energy' extend in a large halo–like structure, emerging from the galactic centre.
Scientists have known for almost two decades that there is a glow of gamma radiation emerging from the centre of the galaxy. Now, a scientist has found an even more powerful signal that could be caused by dark matter
Even after blocking out the glow of the galactic centre, data from NASA's Fermi telescope shows a 'halo–like' region of powerful gamma ray radiation that could be caused by colliding particles of dark matter
What is dark matter?
Dark matter outweighs visible matter roughly six to one, making up about 27 per cent of the universe.
Unlike normal matter, dark matter does not interact with the electromagnetic force.
This means it does not absorb, reflect or emit light, making it extremely hard to spot.
In fact, researchers have been able to infer the existence of dark matter only from the gravitational effect it seems to have on visible matter.
This energy was emerging from the exact place where previous studies had predicted dark matter would be most concentrated.
Even more excitingly, this energy level is exactly what some scientists had predicted colliding particles of dark matter should produce.
This could very well be the first time that scientists have found a way of looking at dark matter itself.
Professor Totani told Daily Mail: 'Since we are directly observing the gamma rays emitted by dark matter, I personally believe it can be considered "direct observation".'
Importantly, the halo signature is completely distinct from previous observations of the GC excess.
Not only is the halo signature more spread out, but it is also 10 times more powerful than the gamma radiation found in the GC excess.
This is critical because there are no known types of stars or black holes which produce this type of energy.
Dr Moorts Muru, a dark matter expert from the Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics who was not involved in the study, told Daily Mail: 'None of the known stellar objects radiates energy at such high levels, and thus, Totani leans strongly towards the dark matter hypothesis.'
The energy produced by this halo signal is 10 times more powerful than the gamma–ray radiation coming from the galactic centre, and matches the signal researchers expected to find from dark matter (illustrated). The red and blue lines show the predicted signal from dark matter, while the circles show the data points collected by Fermi
While Dr Muru says this is not 'definitive proof', he adds that it is a 'significant boost to understanding dark matter'.
However, not everyone is convinced.
Professor Joe Silk, a dark matter researcher from Johns Hopkins University who was not involved in the study, told Daily Mail he thinks the claim of dark matter detection is 'premature'.
Firstly, Professor Totani's predictions for how much energy a WIMP should produce are much higher than some scientists' calculations.
'Of course, our predictions could be wrong, but if he is correct, we should have seen a gamma ray signal from nearby dwarf galaxies that are dark matter–dominated,' says Professor Silk.
Additionally, Professor Silk argues that these strong gamma rays could be the product of a huge explosion that emanated from the galaxy's central black hole about 10 billion years ago.
This explosion created the massive structures known as the 'Fermi bubbles' that extend on either side of the galaxy, but could have also started a powerful chain reaction.
Professor Silk says: 'What he did not consider is the fact that such an explosion that caused the Fermi bubbles is associated with violent shock fronts with turbulent magnetic fields that are known to be giant particle accelerators.
Not everyone is convinced by these findings, as some scientists suggest the gamma ray radiation could be emerging from 'energetic particles' trapped in the 'Fermi bubble' (highlighted) that emerges above and below the galactic plane
'So they could have injected many energetic particles whose subsequent diffusion and interaction with the ambient gas would have generated an additional gamma ray glow. In which case, we have no evidence for dark matter.'
In his paper, published in the Journal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, Professor Totani acknowledges that more observations will be needed to prove this really is dark matter.
If other regions that should have lots of dark matter, like nearby dwarf galaxies, have similar gamma–ray signatures, it would be strong evidence for his claim.
However, the researcher remains confident that more data in the future will only provide more evidence that gamma–rays originate from dark matter.
A video of what has since been dubbed a “jellyfish” UFO is making the rounds online.
Thefootage, shared by journalist Jeremy Corbell earlier this week, shows a mysterious object that appears to have dangling tendrils, and which appears to smoothly float over the roofs of a military base in Iraq. According to Corbell, the UFO footage dates back to October 2018.
Naturally, the online UFO community had a field day, speculating what the object could be.
Two days later, Corbell followed up with a different image of a “chandelier” UFO, which was also reportedly filmed over the Persian Gulf.
The Pentagon has yet to weigh in on the footage, but the video comes after interest in “unidentified aerial phenomena” (UAPs) has steadily grown, with members of Congress even receiving a classified briefing earlier this month.
Ultimately, despite plenty of speculation, we have yet to hear anything close to a confirmed report of extraterrestrials coming to visit us. And as you’d expect, there’s already evidence that the latest video has a much more mundane explanation.
Ghost Story
This week, Marine officer Michael Cincoski opened up to NewsNation about the footage, telling the outlet that the “jellyfish” was actually nicknamed the “spaghetti monster” when it was collected, and that sightings started at the end of 2017, not 2018.
According to Cincoski, the footage was taken from an aerostat, a big balloon observatory that was floating over the base to detect any incoming threats.
“Toward the end, it seemingly continued off into the distance,” he told NewsNation, but refuted Corbell’s claims that it ever dropped “into the lake or shoot into the sky.”
“It ended up being the ghost story of the base,” Cincoski added.
Critics, however, say both the “jellyfish” and “chandelier” had much simpler explanations than some outlandish alien theories would suggest.
“The ‘Chandelier’ UFO appears to be a diffraction artifact,” tweeted writer and noted UFO debunker Mick West. “Basically, a glare from a very bright/hot source, like a missile rocket/engine.”
And the jellyfish was likely “two different balloon-like entities” moving about 12 kilometers apart, West added, that appear to be moving at the same speed as the wind — a strong clue that instead of an alien visitor, it’s just a balloon.
Amid the Pentagon’s years-long probes into the unexplained and unidentified, the FBI has been quietly running its own secret office investigating so-called “unidentified anomalous phenomena.”
Yes, let’s get this out of the way: that’s basically the plot of the 90s television show “The X-Files.” But buried in a new Politico story about concerns that UFO-hunting agents may soon be caught up in a purge is a jarring revelation: that such an office exists within the bureau —the “existence” of which had “not been disclosed publicly before,” per the outlet’s reporting.
It was previously known that the Pentagon had a similar group. Known as the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), that office deals with UAP sightings from military officials. There doesn’t appear to be any other known counterpart in civilian branches of government.
In a statement to Politico, the FBI confirmed the existence of the office but refused to comment further, including to say how many members it has or how long it has been investigating UAPs in an organized manner.
“The FBI investigates Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena when there is potential for a violation of federal law — particularly unlawful acts that could adversely affect our national interests — and to gather, share, and analyze intelligence to combat security threats facing the US,” the bureau told Politico.
Former Naval pilot and Congressional UFO whistleblower Ryan Graves spoke at length to the magazine about the importance of the group’s work and how deleterious it would be for the office to be gutted due to partisanship.
“I am concerned that the FBI’s UAP Working Group could be affected by transition changes,” Graves said, “and these leaders might not be aware of the incredible work these agents are doing and how their investigation could be empowered as part of a formalized intergovernmental effort.”
Caison Best, a former Army special forces intelligence officer, told Politico that he’d spoken to members of the FBI’s UAP office after witnessing an alleged UFO in Colorado. Though it’s unclear exactly how many of those agents could be implicated in the alleged purge, Best said it would be “obviously detrimental” if that happened.
“The FBI is one component of the government that is starting to realize what other functions in the government have already known for a long time and have been participating in,” the ex-Army intelligence officer said.
In English, he seems to be suggesting that the FBI’s previously undisclosed UAP office has been working with the Pentagon’s AARO — and, perhaps, with other agencies as well.
With Trump’s swiftly-unfolding plans to purge the government of anyone who doesn’t fall in line, it’s impossible to say whether the FBI’s “X-Files” office will continue to exist.
Though given the president’s promise to reveal the truth about unidentified objects in the skies, killing the group completely would seemingly go against his “commitment to take the U out of UAP,” as Graves put it to Politico.
NASA’s Voyager 1spacecraft, launched in 1977, continues to operate and set records. It is already the first man-made object to reach interstellar space and is currently the furthest spacecraft from Earth. But at the end of 2026, it will reach a new milestone: traveling one light-day away from our planet.
Illustration of the Voyager 1 spacecraft. Source: NASA
One light day is the distance that light or a radio signal travels in 24 hours. Voyager 1 is currently more than 25 billion km away, and a signal from Earth takes almost 23.5 hours to reach it. According to NASA calculations, in a year, on November 15, 2026, the spacecraft will reach a distance of 25.9 billion km. At that point, each transmission from our antennas will take exactly 24 hours to reach it.
Unique mission and challenges
Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 are the longest-running missions in NASA history. It is remarkable that their equipment has millions of times less memory and computing power than modern smartphones. However, outdated electronics do not prevent them from continuing to help science. It was Voyager 1 that took the iconic photo of Earth – “Pale Blue Dot” – showing our planet as a tiny speck in the vastness of space.
But at such great distances, communication with the spacecraft becomes increasingly difficult. It takes a whole day for a command from Earth to reach it, and another day for the response to return. Its nuclear power source will only last for a few more years. But even when the Voyagers fall silent, they will forever remain humanity’s first messengers in interstellar space.
Researchers at the University of Tokyo have announced the discovery of gamma rays produced by the annihilation of dark matter particles. If confirmed, this will be the first time that humanity has “seen” this mysterious substance.
The hidden mass of the Universe
Back in the early 1930s, astronomer Fritz Zwicky discovered an anomaly in the motion of galaxies, which could be explained by the fact that their actual mass was much greater than the mass of the observable matter. This led him to conclude that there must be some invisible structure—dark matter—holding the galaxies together.

Almost a century after Zwicky’s discovery, dark matter remains largely a mystery. Until now, scientists have only been able to observe it indirectly, by studying its effects on observable matter. For example, through its ability to generate enough gravity to hold galaxies together. The reason why dark matter cannot be observed directly is that the particles it consists of do not interact with electromagnetic radiation and do not emit it. In other words, dark matter does not absorb, reflect, or emit light.
Annihilation of dark matter
There are many hypotheses explaining the nature of dark matter. According to one of the most popular theories, it consists of so-called WIMPs (weakly interacting massive particles), which are heavier than protons but interact very little with other matter. Despite the lack of interaction, when two such particles collide, they annihilate each other and release other particles, including gamma-ray photons.

For many years, scientists have been trying to find these specific gamma rays, focusing on areas where dark matter is believed to be most concentrated. According to Professor Tomonori Totani of the Department of Astronomy at the University of Tokyo, he has finally succeeded in solving this problem. After analyzing the latest data from the Fermi space telescope, he has found gamma rays whose characteristics match those predicted.
“We detected gamma rays with a photon energy of 20 gigaelectronvolts (or 20 billion electronvolts, which is an extremely high energy) propagating in a halo-like structure toward the center of the Milky Way galaxy. The gamma-ray component corresponds exactly to the shape expected from a dark matter halo,” said Totani.

The observed energy spectrum, or gamma-ray intensity range, corresponds to the radiation predicted as a result of the annihilation of hypothetical WIMPs, whose mass is approximately 500 times greater than that of a proton. The annihilation rate, estimated from the measured gamma-ray intensity, is also within the range of theoretical predictions.
“If this is true, then, as far as I know, this will be the first time that humanity has ‘seen’ dark matter. And it turns out that dark matter is a new particle not included in the current standard model of particle physics. This represents a significant breakthrough in astronomy and physics.”
Although Totani is confident that his gamma-ray measurements detect dark matter particles, his results must be verified by independent analysis by other researchers. Even with this confirmation, scientists will need additional evidence that this radiation is indeed the result of dark matter annihilation and not coming from some other astronomical phenomenon.
Additional evidence of collisions in other locations with high concentrations of dark matter would support these initial findings. For example, the detection of gamma rays of the same energy from dwarf galaxies in the Milky Way halo would confirm the results of the study.
The New UFO Documentary the Government Does Want You to See - Vulture
The New UFO Documentary the Government Does Want You to See - Vulture
Overview
On November 21, 2025, a noteworthy documentary titled “The Age of Disclosure” was premiered on Capitol Hill, bringing significant attention to a series of recently declassified Pentagon recordings related to unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), commonly known as UFOs. Produced by Vulture, the online entertainment arm of New York Magazine, this 84-minute film aims to shed light on official government data that has largely been kept concealed from the public. The documentary combines authentic footage, firsthand witness testimonies, and archival materials to argue that the U.S. government is gradually becoming more transparent regarding its knowledge of unexplained aerial sightings. The organizers framed this screening as a “call for greater transparency,” emphasizing the importance of allowing citizens and policymakers alike access to credible evidence of UAP encounters.
The goal is to foster a shift in public perception and to motivate lawmakers to push for systematic reporting and scientific investigation of these phenomena. This event marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing push for openness and accountability related to UFO mysteries, highlighting how the government’s stance is evolving from secrecy to limited disclosure. As the documentary gains attention, it stokes a broader debate about national security, scientific curiosity, and governmental transparency surrounding aerial phenomena that defy current technological understanding.
"The Age of Disclosure" intricately weaves three core elements to build its narrative. First, it showcases a series of declassified videos released by the Department of Defense between 2020 and 2024. These include high-profile clips like the “Gimbal” and “GoFast” videos, which depict unidentified objects performing extraordinary maneuvers that challenge known principles of aerospace physics. Second, the film features interviews with credible witnesses such as military pilots, radar operators, and intelligence analysts, all sharing personal accounts of observing unexplained objects during combat and reconnaissance missions.
Their detailed descriptions lend credibility to the argument that these sightings are real and not fabricated or misreported. Third, aerospace technology scholars contribute contextual analysis, emphasizing that the observed phenomena surpass current human engineering capabilities, thus raising questions about their origin—whether advanced foreign technology or something entirely different. Director Megan Alvarez explained that the documentary’s goal isn’t to prove extraterrestrial life but to stress that government-verified footage exists and warrants serious public discussion. By showcasing this compelling evidence, the film seeks to shift the narrative from skepticism to curiosity and acknowledgment of unexplainable phenomena that demand further scientific exploration.
Pentagon Releases and Official Context
The documentary’s core materials are rooted in the Pentagon’s ongoing transparency efforts, which have gradually declassified and released UAP-related footage since 2020. The initial releases of three Navy-recorded videos marked a turning point, confirming the existence of unexplained aerial objects captured by military sensors and pilots. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) followed up in 2022 with a preliminary assessment acknowledging that that most sightings remain unexplained, emphasizing the need for continued data collection and analysis. This document suggested that some phenomena could pose national security risks, thereby elevating their significance in government priorities. More recently, in August 2025, the Department of Defense released a set of high-resolution infrared recordings obtained through the Advanced Aerial Reconnaissance System (AARS).
These videos display objects that execute maneuvers at speeds and accelerations well beyond known human engineering capabilities, strengthening the case for serious scientific inquiry. While these releases are partial—often heavily redacted—they symbolize an increasing willingness within the government to acknowledge and share evidence. These steps have been praised by some members of Congress for providing potential avenues for research, though critics argue that the redactions hinder full understanding and transparency. Overall, these official disclosures reflect an incremental but pivotal move toward open discussion of UAP phenomena at the highest levels of government.
Political Reaction
The premier of “The Age of Disclosure” on Capitol Hill triggered diverse political responses. Republican Representative James Whitfield of Ohio expressed optimistic support, calling the documentary “a catalyst for accountability” and urging the House Armed Services Committee to convene hearings to scrutinize the ODNI’s findings more thoroughly. His stance underscores a proactive approach to addressing national security implications of UAP reports. On the other side, Democratic Senator Lisa Cheng from California cautioned against jumping to conclusions based solely on visual evidence. She emphasized the importance of proper context and scientific validation, advocating for a bipartisan task force to evaluate the data more comprehensively before any policy shifts occur.

The event attracted a wide array of attendees, including lawmakers from both parties, defense officials, and scientific experts, reflecting a bipartisan curiosity and concern regarding UAP issues. The timing coincided with debate over the FY2026 defense appropriations bill, in which funding for an expanded UAP research office is expected to be a significant point of discussion. This bipartisan interest indicates a growing recognition of the importance of systematically investigating unidentified aerial phenomena, potentially leading to formal governmental oversight and more sustained inquiry.
Implications for Transparency
While “The Age of Disclosure” does not uncover new classified information, its compilation of existing declassified material and expert testimonials highlights an important shift in U.S. government transparency regarding UAPs. Analysts from the Congressional Research Service note that sustained public pressure and political interest could lead to the establishment of a permanent oversight body—similar to those overseeing emerging technologies like hypersonic weapons—that ensures consistent, transparent monitoring of unexplained phenomena. The film’s emphasis on visual evidence aims to bridge the often vast gap between highly classified briefings and the democratic accountability that citizens and their representatives require.
Advocates hope that increased public access to credible footage and expert analysis will push policymakers to allocate more resources and support for systematic scientific investigation of UAPs. However, questions remain about the scope of future disclosures and whether top officials will fully embrace transparency or continue to withhold sensitive information. Nevertheless, this moment signifies a cultural and political shift—an acknowledgment that mysteries lingering in the sky warrant open discussion, scientific rigor, and potentially, policy action to address the implications of these unexplained phenomena for both national security and human understanding.
What About All Those USO Sightings since August in the Media? The REAL Story!
What About All Those USO Sightings since August in the Media? The REAL Story!
By Bob Spearing, MUFON Director of International Development
On November 2, 2025, Fox News reported that since August, a UAP reporting agency called Enigma Labs has documented 9,000 reports of objects within 10 miles of the American coastlines. The article mentioned that the states with the highest amount of these craft or anomalies near the coast were California & Florida, with 389 and 306, respectively.
Google AI generated that, “A UFO reporting app called Enigma has logged over 9,000 USO sightings since August 2025 within 10 miles of U.S. shoreline or other major bodies of water.” and “This data has raised concerns for national security analysts.” Google AI used a publication called Matine Technology News as its source.
In the Fox article, Retired Navy Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet stated that, "The fact that unidentified objects with unexplainable characteristics are entering US waterspace and the [Department of War] is not raising a giant red flag is a sign that the government is not sharing all it knows about all-domain anomalous phenomena.”
Kent Heckenlively, a UFO book author, was also interviewed by Fox and said, "What is really interesting to me is the reports that we receive about [United States] underwater vessels detecting craft moving at exceptionally high speeds underwater."
This image is from a longer video in MUFON Case # 137607 out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It has made the news rounds frequently this month. But what is actually being seen here? Is it a genuine series of 2 USOs, or is it scuba divers with underwater lighting? The jury is still out, but the media pounces on this as legitimate proof of USOs. It is confirmatory of NOTHING! The source of the lights remains unidentified, but claiming this photo shows “legitimate alien or other paranormal activity under our waterways” would be inconsistent with MUFON’s high investigative values.
The Mutual UFO Network would like to ask some questions here because we do not necessarily believe the entire story is being laid out by Enigma, Gallaudet and Heckenlively.
First, Google AI suggests FALSELY that anything within 10 miles of a coast is a USO. Enigma implies that. That acronym USO stands for Unidentified Submersible Object. A UFO/UAP cannot be considered a USO simply because it is within 10 miles of a coastline. This is deceiving. If this is Enigma’s methodology for what constitutes a USO, it is flawed.
Second, the Fox article, at one point, states that only 150 objects in Enigma’s database were seen going into or out of water. This is a big drop for 9,000 reports down to 150 that actually are seen in, below or above a body of water. What gives? What is truth, then? Are classifications bendable when necessary for a news release?
The newest classification for an object capable of being in air, land or underwater is called a trans-
medium vehicle as they can operate in 3 different environments. Our media today is trying to portray this as a new phenomenon. Actually, it has been going on for thousands of years.
Third, the idea that suddenly there are these incredibly fast-moving underwater objects is also a new phenomenon, is inaccurate. MUFON’s 145,000-case database has reports of fast-moving submersibles circling our warships as far back as WWII. MUFON’s own Chief Photo Analyst, Marc D’Antonio, hitched a ride back in 2017 on an unnamed USN submarine, and, being in the right place at the right time, caught an interaction between the sub’s commander and his radar operator using the term “fast mover” concerning a very fast-moving object in proximity to the sub. Right now, the Chinese are developing this underwater technology, where soon their subs may transit the Pacific from Shanghai to San Francisco in hours instead of days. Aliens? Or Chinese tech, maybe?
BUT HERE IS THE MAJOR POINT!
There is a lot of disinformation on the UFO Street right now on several items, such as Hellfire
Missiles taking out UFOs off the coast of Yemen, which was most likely a CCP spy balloon. The 3i/Atlas affair is almost to the point of hysteria for no good reason. It’s almost seeming like an experiment to gauge population gullibility. Just look at the 3i/Atlas cesspool on Facebook.
There is a difference between Enigma and MUFON. A big difference! MUFON investigates! Enigma
doesn’t. Just because there are 9,000 Enigma reports of “purported USO objects” within 10 miles of coastline and 150 directly in or over bodies of water, doesn’t necessarily mean these statistics are in any way reliable. How many of these 9,000 objects have been investigated by Enigma, Fox, or anyone else, for that matter? BINGO! Where are the investigation reports forthcoming from Enigma and Fox? Don’t hold your breath.
MUFON, The MUTUAL UFO Network, has 4,000 members currently, and of that number, 700 are trained, certified Field Investigators, most with previous forensic backgrounds. We investigate all 145,000 cases in our database. Enigma does not investigate anything as far as we can tell. And here is the point….MUFON and other UFO Agencies, over the decades, have seen a pretty steady statistic about UFO reports.
Basically, 90% of those reports, if investigated, ultimately end up as being in the “IDENTIFIED” category. So, Enigma’s 9,000 reports since August of arbitrarily classified USOs, most likely are identifiable if they were actually investigated. Roughly 900 may be hard to figure out. Their 30,000 reports they have accrued since 2022 may turn out to be, if they were actually investigated, 3,000 that may need further consideration. What we believe is happening is sensationalism of the phenomenon. Clickbait even for media exposure. Yellow Journalism in the finest 19th-century fashion! It used to sell newspapers, right?
Who suffers because of this? The person who wants to believe. That’s who! Cruel! They are being fed a steady stream of FEAR by our media and people who are sensationalizing every report as if FACT.
Shame on them! It’s grotesque!
If you see something or if you feel you have been abducted, you can report it to MUFON at mufon.com. Click on the red report buttons in the upper right corner of our website. We will investigate. More importantly, we have an Experiencer Resource Team to help abductees cope with their experience.

Beneath the idyllic resort towns of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, daring explorers have uncovered a hidden world of grand chambers and twisting tunnels.
The Ox Bel Ha, Mayan for 'Three Paths of Water', is a sprawling water 'web' that makes up the world's longest underwater cave system.
In this vast network, researchers have found giant sink holes, huge crystal chambers known as ice palaces, and 38 unique species of cave–dwelling animals.
Cave divers have mapped out 325.6 miles (524 kilometres) of subterranean tunnels, but believe there could be even more yet to explore.
Since 2018 alone, divers have squeezed their way through 108 more miles (175 kilometres) of unexplored cave.
Research group, El Centro Investigador del Sistema Acuífero de Quintana Roo (CINDAQ), believes it may find more than 373 miles (600 kilometres) of cave before its investigations are done.
The big difference is that every metre of Mexico's cavernous network is submerged in a mixture of salt and freshwater.
The Ox Bel Ha is the world's largest cave network, extending at least 325 miles beneath Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula
Scientists believe that the incredible complexity of Ox Bel Ha is due to the unusual way in which it formed.
Millions of years ago, rainwater and dissolved carbon dioxide filtered through a thick layer of limestone on the Yucatan Peninsula.
As this acidic solution filtered through the rock, it reacted with the limestone and carved out vast channels and tunnels.
Then, approximately 18,000 years ago, severe climate changes caused ocean levels to rise and flood the caves – sealing the underground landscape exactly as it is found today.
Rather uniquely, this is also one of the few underwater caves in Mexico which connect directly to the sea.
This means that there is a layer of faster–flowing fresh water sitting on top of a nearly static saltwater layer.
This creates what scientists call a 'halocline', a layer where salt and fresh water mix, which makes exploration even trickier.
Exploration only began on the Ox Bel Ha cave network in 1996, when explorers found an entrance inside one of the area's natural sink holes, known as cenotes.
The leading research group, El Centro Investigador del Sistema Acuífero de Quintana Roo (CINDAQ), believes they may find more than 373 miles (600 kilometres) of cave before their investigations are done
Exploration is continuously uncovering new chambers and tunnels as explorers find more connections between different sections of the cave
The only cave system longer than Ox Bel Ha is Mammoth Cave in Kentucky (pictured), which extends for at least 426 miles (686 km)
Exploring a dry cave network, such as Mammoth Cave, is already dangerous and difficult.
Cavers must force themselves into narrow passages known as constrictions in the hope that they will open up enough to turn around further on.
Becoming trapped or lost can easily result in the caver's death if they are not able to call for help.
Underwater, these difficulties are all massively increased by the fact that explorers must also manage their limited oxygen supply.
Cave divers must balance the amount of gas they bring with them against the fact that they may need to pull that equipment through some tight squeezes.
This makes long dives extending deep underground extremely challenging, and something that can only be attempted by the most skilled divers.
However, over the last 30 years, explorers have gradually managed to piece together a map of the Ox Bel Ha.
As the divers explore, they trail a line of cable behind them that allows them to find their way back, and also to assess how long the cave network is.
Ox Bel Ha is home to huge sink holes, 38 species of unique cave–dwelling animals, and a series of crystal–coated chambers known as an 'ice palace' (pictured)
Since 2018 alone, divers have squeezed their way through 108 more miles (175 kilometres) of unexplored cave
And, as divers have repeatedly resurveyed old sections of cable, they are still finding entirely new sections of tunnel to explore.
For example, in 2022, a group of divers were following an old cable about two miles deep into the cave when they discovered that it had been overlooked by earlier dives.
The divers told In Depth Magazine at the time: 'To our surprise it looked like we were the first ones there.'
By undertaking mammoth six–to eight–hour dives, the explorers pushed up to 6,370 metres into the cave and uncovered 6.2 miles (10.1 kilometres) of new passageways.
However, the efforts to map the extent of Ox Bel Ha have not been without fatalities.
In April 2022, an experienced Russian diver who had been mapping the cave for six months set out on a dive from sinkhole Cenote Odyssey and never returned.
Investigators found the diver floating face down within arm's reach of a spare gas tank, with his own tank drained empty.
It is believed that the diver became trapped in a cloud of silt while exploring a new crack, panicked, and used up the remainder of their air supplies faster than they had been prepared for.
Fox News chief national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin reports on the Pentagon's warning about a drone risk on 'Special Report.'
Newly released police logs and video footage contradict official explanations of a near-collision between a U.K. police helicopter and unidentified aerial objects over a U.S. air base last year, an encounter authorities had previously dismissed as a routine fighter jet sighting.
According to documents the Daily Mail obtained through Britain’s Freedom of Information Act, the Nov. 22, 2024, flight forced a National Police Air Service (NPAS) EC135 helicopter to take emergency evasive action after reporting that two fast-moving craft "targeted" and pursued the aircraft over RAF Lakenheath, a major U.S. military installation in Suffolk.
The pilots described a steep dive to avoid a crash as the objects matched their speed, roughly 165 knots (190 mph), for several minutes before disappearing from view.
Nick Pope, who formerly investigated UFOs for the U.K. Ministry of Defence, told Fox News Digital the episode shows how unidentified aerial phenomena, or UAP, have evolved from a fringe curiosity into a legitimate defense and aviation issue.
The U.S. government is compelled to investigate reports of UFOs to identify any issues regarding threats to national security.

"This disturbing incident perfectly illustrates why the UAP issue has gone from fringe to mainstream," Pope said. "Whatever people’s beliefs, this is a serious safety-of-flight matter that demands urgent attention and action."
Pope stressed that simply labeling such encounters "drones" can obscure what might be much more complex.
"‘Drone’ has become a convenient shorthand for anything unexplained that people see in the skies," he said. "So, we really don’t know what we’re dealing with here."
He added that the lack of data sharing between agencies and the tendency to downplay sightings could make the danger worse.
"I hope it doesn’t take a tragedy before something more is done," Pope said. "There’s chronic underreporting of these sorts of incidents, so the true extent of the problem is likely far more serious."
Logs cited by the Daily Mail say the NPAS crew called the encounter an "unprovoked pursuit" shortly after 10 p.m. while patrolling near the base.
"They had to perform an emergency dive and described that they were pursued in the dive by two drones who matched their speed … and then pursued them for several minutes out of the area," one police entry states.
Another notes the pilots "felt that drones had targeted them and chased them off at approximately 140 knots [161 mph]."
Additional police reports between Nov. 20-22 recorded roughly 20 drone sightings across RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall and RAF Feltwell. Logs described "10-15 drones … potentially into base airspace" and said aircraft were temporarily grounded after crossing flight paths.
A witness using night-vision goggles reported "five to six drones" near the A1065 highway, while another described "large stationary things — tic-tacs — they are not birds."
A U.K. military source who viewed the helicopter’s full 30-minute infrared video told the Daily Mail the footage shows "drones mirroring the helicopter’s movements" and performing a "corkscrew" maneuver impossible for an F-15.
"In the 30-minute video with pilot audio, nobody mentions F-15s," the source said. "They only talk about the drones … basically forcing them out of the area."
Enigma has received more than 9,000 witness sightings of mysterious objects within 10 miles of United States shorelines since August 2025, according to the company’s website.

Despite the multiple sightings, Britain’s Airprox Board, which investigates near misses, concluded in its final report that the crew had mistaken the lights of a U.S. Air Force F-15 operating nearby. Radar data showed the helicopter and jet came within 1,700 feet, and the board reported no other returns.
Retired senior police Det. Mike Morgan told the Daily Mail he was frustrated by official silence.
"There is a whole series of question marks about what went on in November 2024," he said. "I have run into repeated efforts by the authorities to avoid answering even the most basic questions. … What is so secret about this investigation?"
Defense sector meteorologist Stuart Onyeche said he believes both the F-15 and the police helicopter were reacting to unmanned systems in the area.
"I’m inclined to trust the initial detail and assessment of the experienced helicopter pilots," Onyeche told the Daily Mail. "It’s unarguable that an F-15 was also in the vicinity … but the unanswered question is what that fighter was being tasked to do or look for."
The Daily Mail notes the Lakenheath case unfolded amid weeks of similar reports of drone incursions near U.S. military bases in New Jersey, the wider Northeast and overseas.
The outlet also cites a joint FBI/DOD/NASA report warning that detection and jamming systems have "failed" to stop advanced drones, including a major swarm over Langley Air Force Base in Virginia in December 2023 that was kept quiet until revealed by The War Zone in March 2024.
Pope said recurring incidents like the Lakenheath encounter, combined with limited transparency from officials, point to a growing gap in how governments handle unidentified aerial activity and that without better reporting and coordination, the risk to air safety will only continue to increase.

The US Air Force has sparked a mystery near the top-secret base Area 51 after admitting the FBI was investigating a recent crash near the facility.
In a statement on October 4, officials at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada said that an aircraft 'was involved in an incident,' crashing in the desert just miles from the restricted zone around Area 51 on September 23.
The infamous base has been tied to extraterrestrial lore for decades, with UFO researchers and conspiracy theorists claiming that secret government projects have been conducted at Area 51 since the 1950s.
While the Air Force said that the craft was assigned to the base as part of the 432nd Wing, some on social media pointed out that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a temporary flight restriction around the area for an entire week.
The reason for the shutdown was simply noted as 'national security' with no other explanation given by the FAA.
The location of the flight restriction placed the crash roughly 12 miles east of the security boundary around Area 51, and about 24 miles from the base itself.
However, the Air Force has revealed that even more strange activity took place after military personnel cleaned up the site, leaving nothing for the public to find.
Officials at Creech said investigators found an 'inert training bomb body' and a piece of an unidentified aircraft at the same crash site on October 3, prompting the military to get the FBI involved.
Area 51, an area of more than 2.9 million acres, is located at the Nevada Test and Training Range
A temporary flight restriction was issued by the FAA shortly after the US Air Force announced the crash of a military aircraft near Area 51
According to the Air Force statement, officials believe someone intentionally altered the scene of the secretive crash after the military left the desert.
An inert training bomb body is a practice explosive that's not rigged to explode.
Meanwhile, the Air Force said the aircraft piece was likely a panel from a plane, but admitted that it came from an 'unknown origin.'
Joerg Arnu, a long-time Area 51 researcher and host of the website Dreamland Resort, visited the site of the crash on September 27, finding nothing but a completely cleared area and several tire tracks, likely from military vehicles that combed the desert for wreckage.
'They really tore up the ground so it's impossible to find the impact mark,' Arnu said in a video taken from the alleged crash.
The researchers noted that there was no debris left in the area, but something could still be there underground, adding that desert rains often wash hidden objects back up to the surface.
The Air Force noted that 'no further details are available at this time,' but did say that there were no injuries or fatalities during the unexplained incident.
Creech Air Force Base is less than 60 miles from the alleged crash site and is home to the 432nd Wing, which operates MQ-9 Reaper armed drones, RQ-170 Sentinel stealth drones, and other craft used for intelligence, surveillance, and combat missions.
Area 51 researcher Joerg Arnu captured video of the supposed crash site after the military had finished recovering the object
The crash reportedly took place just 12 miles from the security area surrounding Area 51, a base tied to UFO encounters for decades
According to online defense news site The War Zone, Reapers are the main type of aircraft housed at the base, used for spying, watching targets, and even firing missiles from far away.
They've been in use for two decades, and it's not uncommon for them to crash under certain circumstances, including user error and mechanical failures with the uncrewed, remote-controlled drones.
Conspiracy theorists online pointed out that it would be incredibly unusual for the federal officials to keep a Reaper drone crash so secret.
They noted the fact that federal investigators showed up so quickly, searched for planted fake evidence, and kept the incident completely under wraps for over two weeks were signs that the aircraft was no ordinary drone.
Recently, the US Air Force's top-secret RAT55 jet was also spotted soaring over Area 51, confirming rumors that the enigmatic radar plane operated from the clandestine Groom Lake facility.
Area 51 has also been involved in the development and testing of other revolutionary and experimental aircraft over the years, including the F-117 Nighthawk, America's first stealth bomber.
