Pareidolia: Why we see faces in hills, the Moon and toasties

People have long seen faces in the Moon, in oddly-shaped vegetables and even burnt toast, but a Berlin-based group is scouring the planet via satellite imagery for human-like features. What's behind our desire to see faces in our surroundings, asks Lauren Everitt.

Most people have never heard of pareidolia. But nearly everyone has experienced it.

Anyone who has looked at the Moon and spotted two eyes, a nose and a mouth has felt the pull of pareidolia.

It's "the imagined perception of a pattern or meaning where it does not actually exist", according to the World English Dictionary. It's picking a face out of a knotted tree trunk or finding zoo animals in the clouds.

German design studio Onformative is undertaking perhaps the world's largest and most systematic search for pareidolia. Their Google Faces programme will spend the next few months sniffing out face-like shapes in Google Maps.

Google Faces will scan the entire globe several times over from different angles. So far the programme has pinpointed an eerie profile in Russia's remote Magadan Oblast region, a fellow with hairy nostrils next to Priory Road in Ashford, Kent, and a mangy creature in the mountains of Alaska, among others.

It's certainly not the first to uncover faces where they don't actually exist.

This week, US department store JC Penney sold out of a kettle thought to look like the leader of the Third Reich after the resemblance was noted on social news site Reddit.

A chicken nugget shaped like US President George Washington earned more than £5,000 ($8,100) on eBay last year.

A decade earlier, some 20,000 Christians travelled to Bangalore to pay homage to a chapatti with the image of Christ burnt on it. Some visitors even offered prayers to the glass-encased flatbread.

In 2011 a Tumblr site that specialises in finding things that look like Hitler posted a photo of a modest terraced house in Swansea. Its angled roof resembles a comb-over, and the moulding over the house's door is said to evoke the dictator's trademark moustache.

In 2009 the Allen family of Ystrad, Rhondda, spotted the face of Jesus on the underside of a Marmite lid. Instead of the usual mundane brown smears, they found a "comforting" image and saved the top after finishing off the jar.

And American Diana Duyser took a bite out of a cheese toastie in 1994 only to find herself face-to-face with what looked to her like the Virgin Mary. She noticed the Madonna's burnt image on the bread after the first bite and saved the rest of the sandwich for over a decade.

Duyser put it up for auction on eBay where it drew 1.7 million hits and eventually sold for about $28,000 (£18,500).

Google Faces designers Cedric Kiefer and Julia Laub were also inspired by pareidolia.

After seeing the famous "Face in Mars" snapped by the Viking 1 Orbiter in 1976 and playing around with facial recognition technology, they became curious about "how the psychological phenomenon of pareidolia could be generated by a machine", Kiefer says.

They didn't expect their project to be a big deal, but soon their photos of faces in the Russian tundra and rural Britain were spreading across the web.

"It seems like there is something fascinating about pareidolia," Kiefer says.

While some countenances resemble cartoon characters and abstract art, other images appear almost "too real to believe it's just coincidence", he adds.

But why do people see faces in what is quite literally nothing more than a stain, a splotch or a strange rock formation?

Some of that is our evolutionary heritage, says Dr Nouchine Hadjikhani of Harvard University. Humans are "prewired" to detect faces from birth, she says.

"If you take a baby just after a few minutes of life, he will direct his attention toward something that has the general features of a face versus something that has the same elements but in a random order," she says.

And the tendency to pick out familiar figures goes back to the first humans, says Christopher French of the British Psychological Society.

"We've evolved brains that think in these quick, dirty ways that are usually right, but at times can lead us to systematically be biased," he explains.

"A classic example is the Stone Age guy standing there, scratching his beard, wondering whether that rustling in the bushes really is a sabre-toothed tiger. You're much more likely to survive if you assume it's a sabre-toothed tiger and get the hell out of there - otherwise you may end up as lunch."

Other experts say pareidolia is a consequence of the brain's information processing systems. The brain is constantly sifting through random lines, shapes, surfaces and colours, says Joel Voss, a neuroscientist at Northwestern University.

It makes sense of these images by assigning meaning to them - usually by matching them to something stored in long-term knowledge. But sometimes things that are slightly "ambiguous" get matched up with things we can name more easily - resulting in pareidolia, he says.

Pareidolia can also be a product of people's expectations, says neuroscientist Sophie Scott, of University College London.

"Being able to see Jesus's face in toast is telling you more about what's happening with your expectations, and how you're interpreting the world based on your expectations, rather than anything that's necessarily in the toast," she says.

And once the Virgin's face or George Washington's profile are spotted, it's virtually impossible to unsee them, says Bruce Hood, author of The Self Illusion: How the Social Brain Creates Identity.

"That's one of the things about illusions, they have this remarkable tendency to formulate in your mind, and it's very difficult to unthink them," he says.

But simply spotting a face in a morsel of food or a fence doesn't explain why some people spend thousands of pounds to buy it or make a pilgrimage to see it.

Pareidolia can be extremely evocative - especially if a person believes in miracles, Scott says.

"It's an incredibly strong demonstration of how powerful these perceptual effects are. We really want to see things like faces, we really want to hear things like voices, and our perceptual system will set out to do that," she adds.

For some, pareidolia stands as evidence of the supernatural, Hood says. "People will seek out these sorts of things for some sort of intervention."

The object itself can also take on special significance, says French. People assume that if it has been divinely produced, then it has been "touched by God" and "will bring good fortune", he says.

But you don't have to be particularly religious to appreciate pareidolia.

"I don't for one minute think there's any kind of religious significance or anything else in them," French says. "But hey, they're pretty neat, aren't they?"

Pleasantville -- I've always been a skeptic of UFOs, up until two nights ago, and I feel lost and confused. Three weeks ago I saw an UFO fireball in the sky, and since then I have felt like I am being watched. Two nights ago as I was about to go to sleep I saw something in my room through my peripheral vision. I remember waking up in a metal room and I was lying on a metal bed and I was restrained. I struggled to turn my head and I saw many people lying in these metal beds just like mine and I focused on my sister. It seemed that everyone was in some state of unconsciousness. I realized that something was very wrong and I was conscious of the scary situation I was in. I started to panic and tried to free myself but I was surrounded by short beings that were grayish in color and seemed oblivious to the fact that I was trying to fight my way out of the restraints.

Suddenly a bright light shown and a taller tan being with a more oval shaped head with indentations in it. It communicated with me telepathically and I asked it what it was doing to us and it said "We are looking at your DNA." I asked it why it was doing this to us and it replied "All humans have alien DNA, but not all humans have the same alien DNA" I asked it where they were from and it said "We come from Sirius" and it also told me that they have been coming to me for a long time. At that point it disappeared and my fear returned and I started screaming from the top of my lungs, the next thing I remember is jumping up from my bed screaming waking up everyone in the house. EVICT Tornadoes Weather Modification

Several UFOs were spotted during the 17 minute time the Moore, Oklahoma tornado created havoc killing 24 people and destroying some 1300 homes.

The deadly tornado that ripped through Moore, Okla., last week "completely destroyed" the homes of 140 airmen stationed at nearby Tinker Air Force Base and "at least partially damaged" the homes of 196 other airmen, said Chief of Staff General Mark Welsh. Further, two airmen lost family members in the violent windstorm, Welsh told reporters during a May 24 Pentagon briefing. "There are just no words that can erase that suffering," he said.

The Chinese, in August of 2008, used 37,000 people to seed clouds aiming for a dry Olympics. Hundreds of teams used anti-aircraft guns to shoot shells of silver iodide into approaching cloud masses and kept Beijing dry.

Surplus Harvard T-6 aircraft were fitted with racks under each wing containing 32 railroad fuses that were impregnated with silver iodide were ignited individually or all at once, depending upon the threat. In coordination with ground units, the aircraft would lay a plume of silver iodide in front of approaching cumulonimbus clouds (CBs) with noticeable effect. Large, active CBs were reduced to nothing. Heavy hail storms were reduced in intensity. A C-5 Galaxy aircraft can carry a standard: payload of 240,000 pounds of dry ice or chemicals that could serious effect a mesocyclone. Maximum payload capacity of the C-17 is 170,900 pounds with a service ceiling of 45,000 feet.

The National Severe Storms Laboratory NSSL Site Information -  NOAA's reports, “The most destructive and deadly tornadoes occur from supercells, which are rotating thunderstorms with a well-defined radar circulation called a mesocyclone. (Supercells can also produce damaging hail, severe non-tornadic winds, unusually frequent lightning, and flash floods.) Tornado formation is believed to be dictated mainly by things which happen on the storm scale, in and around the mesocyclone.”

When I was in Vietnam, the Air Force extended the Monsoon season by over a month by cloud-seeding with silver iodide crystals using two C-130s and two F-4s on the Ho Chi Menh trail. I encourage the Air Force to evict the Tornadoes.

Below is radar readout of the May 20, 2013, tornado. The actual tornado early in its track is located in the southern reddest hook near the bottom of the image.

Recent theories and results from the VORTEX 2 program suggest that once a mesocyclone is underway, tornado development is related to the temperature differences across the edge of downdraft air wrapping around the mesocyclone. Studies of tornado formation also indicate that it can happen with very little temperature variation was observed near some of the most destructive tornadoes in history on 3 May 1999.

Storm spotters look for low bands of ragged bands of low cumulus clouds extending from the main storm tower usually to the southeast or south. The presence of inflow bands suggests that the storm is gathering low-level air from several miles away. If the inflow bands have a spiraling nature to them, it suggests the presence of rotation.

The beaver's tail is a smooth, flat cloud band extending from the eastern edge of the rain-free base to the east or northeast. It usually skirts around the southern edge of the precipitation area. It also suggests the presence of rotation.

A wall cloud is an isolated cloud lowering attached to the rain-free base of the thunderstorm. The wall cloud is usually to the rear of the visible precipitation area. A wall cloud that may produce a tornado usually exists for 10–20 minutes before a tornado appears. A wall cloud may also persistently rotate (often visibly), have strong surface winds flowing into it, and may have rapid vertical motion indicated by small cloud elements quickly rising into the rain-free base.

As the storm intensifies, the updraft draws in low-level air from several miles around. Some low-level air is pulled into the updraft from the rain area. This rain-cooled air is very humid; the moisture in the rain-cooled air quickly condenses below the rain-free base to form the wall cloud.

The rear flank downdraft (RFD) is a downward rush of air on the back side of the storm that descends along with the tornado. The RFD looks like a “clear slot” or “bright slot” just to the rear (southwest) of the wall cloud. It can also look like curtains of rain wrapping around the cloud base circulation. The RFD causes gusty surface winds that occasionally have embedded downbursts. The rear flank downdraft is the motion in the storm that causes the hook echo feature on radar.

A condensation funnel is made up of water droplets and extends downward from the base of the thunderstorm. If it is In contact with the ground it is a tornado; otherwise it is a funnel cloud. Dust and debris beneath the condensation funnel confirm a tornado's presence.

NSSL is working to simulate storms that produce tornadoes in computer models to better understand how they form and behave. The Air Force could gain tremendous support from the American people if they could Evict Tornadoes. Thanks to NSSL..

Citizen Hearings to Approach UN

The Citizen Hearing Foundation (CHD) Committee met on May 2, 2013, to discuss an approach to the United Nations. The result was the Washington Communique that states the following:

Whereas: given the unfolding scientific understanding of the number of potentially life supporting planets within Earth's home galaxy, it would be the height of arrogance to assert that humans are the only sentient beings within that galaxy;

Whereas: given that credible witnesses have brought forth overwhelming scientific evidence documenting the current presence of unidentified and unexplained aerial craft that many believe to reflect an extraterrestrial intelligence;

And Whereas: given the enormous global implications if these craft are, indeed, of extraterrestrial origin, such an issue is a matter for the General Assembly of the United Nations;

Therefore, we the undersigned request the Citizen Hearing Foundation use its offices to organize interested parties and raise the funds necessary to pursue a global campaign to convince one or more nations to propose a resolution within the General Assembly calling for United Nations sponsorship of a world conference addressing the possible evidence for an extraterrestrial presence engaging this planet.

The Citizen Hearing Foundation will begin raising funds immediately to implement this mandate to seek a world conference sponsored by the United Nations.

Eisenhower Met with Aliens? Yes or No

Lt. Colonel Don Ware USAF (Ret); Fighter pilot, and teacher reports, Ronald Fleming a 66-year-old retired USAF officer living in the Veteran Administration home in Truth-or-Consequences, NM. Says when on active duty he worked on Top Secret projects with the National Security Agency. The information below, that he wanted me to share with people who are ready, came to him, telepathically, from an unseen source at 9:30 AM on 28 May 2012. That source claimed to be "John the Baptist."  On 30 March 2013, Fleming told me that his name and location could be used. The first of Fleming's two papers said:

"President Eisenhower had the unique experience of actually meeting and talking with aliens.  In 1954 five spaceships landed at Edwards AFB, CA [new name] and the aliens asked to meet with the President, who was golfing at Palm Springs.  They looked very human and spoke English. They were our friends, the Pleiadians.

"President Eisenhower was rushed to the base where he met and talked to the Pleiadians.  They demonstrated the maneuverability of their UFOs and instantly made themselves invisible, which they do easily by transferring their bodies to their normal vibrational frequency. President Eisenhower and his companion, Robert Saunders, were invited on board the UFO. They were given an introduction to the technology of the spacecraft and then taken on a flight into space and on an exploration of the Earth, through alien eyes, so to speak. 

"Eisenhower, Saunders, and other officials who experienced this alien encounter have since passed away; but, there are members of their families who are well aware of this incident.  Perhaps it is now safe for them to speak out.

"The Pleiadians said they wanted to begin an education  program for the people of Earth, to make mankind aware of the universe and its ET existence.  Eisenhower was not one to make impulsive choices or decisions, so he asked for a great deal of information. Extensive discussions were held with the Pleiadians. For the next three days Eisenhower had virtually disappeared from sight while he and his top aides discussed what their response would be. The biggest threat from their decision was the economy. The economists warned that the alien intrusion would put an unknown factor in reality as a whole. Having just recovered from the Great Depression and WW II, the economy was a major consideration. Having alien technology show up would probably put the US economy in a tail spin. Additionally, there would be a strong negative reaction from religious leaders.

"Eisenhower warned that this would cause panic on Earth.  He pleaded, 'We are not ready for that yet.'"  The Pleiadians understood, and left the bewildered President and his entourage standing on the tarmac, awestruck and silent." Thanks to Don Ware

General Goodpaster Says No Aliens

On June 10, 1998, I interviewed General Andrew J. Goodpaster at the Eisenhower Institute, in Washington DC. He was the former Strategic and Policy Staff Secretary for President Eisenhower from 1954-61. Later he was Commander in-Chief of NATO forces in Europe from 1969-74. He was summoned from retirement to lead the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

General Goodpaster was in charge of the day to day coordination on all military and intelligence matters for the White House. We talked extensively about the U-2 over-flights. I asked the General, if he knew Lt. Col. Corso? He indicated he had heard of him in regards to the Korean prisoners of war. I showed him Corso’s book, “The Day After Roswell,” and he laughed as he read the cover. He claimed he had no knowledge of the book, UFOs, aliens, or crashes.

I asked him if President Eisenhower had met with aliens? He laughed, and assured me, “I would have known if that happened and it did not.” He affirmed forcefully that President Eisenhower had no such meeting with aliens; it had never taken place. He seemed amused by Corso’s book, but did not seem to take it seriously. Strange Objects Follow an Air Force Rocket after Florida Launch 

SAINT PETERSBURG. -- We were watching the May 24, 2013, USAF Satcom rocket launch. The rocket was clearly visible with no visual aid for two minutes. However, we used binoculars and initially spotted the four lights, pulsating, hovering, and keeping a distance relationship (after spotting with the binoculars, we could barely make the lights with the naked eye). Best guess is that the lights were over or to the east of Orlando (but appeared miles from the rocket) and that based on the relationship to the rocket; the lights were spaced 1 - 3 miles apart. The lights then followed the rocket down range, and then disappeared. At a time when it appears the rocket booster separated, at least that's what we initially thought, we then saw only two of the lights continue to follow the rocket until we lost visual of the rocket. No doubt whatsoever that whatever was following the rocket was not conventional aircraft, although we could not define a structure, other that the lights maintaining a perfect diamond, or cross, relationship. Also, no doubt the "lights" followed the rocket down-range. Been searching on-line if anyone else saw the lights, and found that there were other witnesses. IT HAPPENED! NASA’s 'Rocknest' From Sol 52 Location

This patch of windblown sand and dust downhill from a cluster of dark rocks is the NASA named "Rocknest site."  This site is expected for use by NASA's Mars rover Curiosity to scoop up dirt samples. This view is a mosaic of images taken by the telephoto right-eye camera of the Mast Camera (Mastcam) during the 52nd Martian day, or sol, of the mission (Sept. 28, 2012), four sols before the rover arrived at Rocknest. The Rocknest patch is about 8 feet by 16 feet.

Flying Saucer

 In truth, the Air Force’s effort to create a flying saucer has not been a secret for years now. The result of the program—a hovercraft named the Avrocar—is on display at the U.S. Air Force Museum in Ohio. Like any good government program, the scientists produced designs of aircraft sporting creepy names like Silverbug, Weapon System 606A, VZ-9, and Project Y2—and information about them has been available under these monikers. But since this "dark" program operated in secrecy, many documents surrounding the saucer project are just now reaching the light of day.

In 2001, U.S. Air Force personnel vetted the Project 1794 cache and found the information viable for public release. But it took more than a decade for the NDC staff to crack open the boxes and glimpse the saucer secrets within. "During the Cold War, in the 1950s and 1960s, the Army, Air Force, and Navy were experimenting with all sorts of weapons and flying platforms," Carmichael says. "And I think some of the odder stuff is going to come out that, maybe people knew about, but the records are just going to tell the rest of the story."

The government is nearing the end of a laborious process, started by the administration of Bill Clinton and codified by executive orders from the Bush and Obama administrations, of declassifying nearly 2 billion pages of government documents. Carmichael says.

“The rate model did not show dynamic stability but could easily be controlled with the additional pitch damping provided by the jets." This kind of language shows us that potential problems with its instability were ignored. The report’s confidence that jet engines and other mechanisms could stabilize the saucer proved ill-founded. Everything the engineers tried (even adding a tail) did not make this saucer fly right, and in 1961 the program was scrapped.

I Phone 4 Will Make a Sunspot

Annette Garkowski writes, I just want to let you know to check with you readers and submitters that if they take sky pictures with the IPhone 4 or 4s... They will very likely pick up a sun spot.

Usually only one which really makes you question it. Totally common with this model on sunny days... Almost looks like another moon or an orb....much more like a moon with a haze around it.

Sightings in the United States

Arizona Light

CAVE CREEK -- We have seen this object before but tonight observed it at 10 pm, on May 23, 2013. A street light is on the right, and the object was above the tree line and pulsating and hovered, but then would change direction N, S, W, and E. Sometimes it would change direction slowly, other times rapidly. I tried to take pictures and video but did not do it justice. I observed the object pulsate, change colors randomly (white, blue, red, and green), hover and move in different directions for almost 45 minutes. It made random movements north of me, then headed west and began to hover again. Later, it began to descend below the tree line. Thanks to MUFON CMS

LAVEEN -- I set-up cam in stable position on my wall looking south after noticing lights and trails in southern sky before sunrise on May 24, 2012. I took five minutes of video showing light trails and objects above horizon. I re-set cam in same location and position shortly after sunrise shooting another five minute clip.

I re-set cam in same position at 9:30 AM, for contrasting shot of earlier sightings, shooting for three minutes twice changing the sharpness of the video.

In the videos are lights and shapes rising from the horizon between the buildings. Lights and objects were visible with the naked eye, moving up, circling, and then departing at high speed to the west for the most part. Note: Video shows object moving at tree top level left to right and suddenly climbing up and out of site. SAN DIEGO – Nina Golgowdki -- Daily Mail reports on 24 May 2013, “Historian photographs UFO hovering over a Southern California historic barn that's better known for its ghosts. A metallic flying saucer appearing no different from any Sci-Fi movie was allegedly photographed. Santee Historical Society researcher Ellen Henry says she was outside taking pictures of the Edgemoor Barn near San Diego when she unknowingly caught the perfectly clear cigar-shaped object hovering in the sky. 'I was looking up but did not see anything in the sky. Close up photo at top of these files. Photographer says her camera stopped working after taking the picture. Local airport and Marine Corps Air Station nearby both couldn't explain.

Long Beach -- I took this on April 19, 2013, at the time the photo was taken I didn’t see anything in the sky. What do you suppose it could be? The only reason I am sending it to you is because I read of other sightings on your website for the same day in California.

Florida Lights

Miami –-This photo were taken by my husband on a trip to Miami in November.

MiamI -- This photo was taken on May 7, 2013 at approximately 6:30 PM. I was driving home from work. It was the white object in the sky that caught my attention because it kept disappearing from the sky and then moving at such fast speeds and you can see them in both the pictures and how fast they moved locations.

Note: The witness saw a white object. She believes that she photographed the object, but it appeared green in the photos. Illinois Cylinder

beach park -- While visiting my family’s house a light caught my eye as I was on the phone with my girl friend. The object was moving then started to hover and then drifted back over. It started to change colors, dip down, and fly up and all over. At this point knew I was seeing something extra ordinary and started shouting for everyone to look. Once we were outside we witnessed the object change color, dip down, fly up and all around.

It was amazing and flew in such a fluid way and an interest in a certain little area. At one point I ran inside to grab a flash light and then started to shine the light at it in a Morris code fashion and right away I took notice and flew towards us. My heart was pounding as this was awesome. After a while it lost interest and went back to its little area. We decided to go chase it in a car because I had the impression it was up to something as it mostly stayed in a defined area. The film was shot on a canon Power Shot a720. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Kansas Objects

 Olathe – I looked out the window at midnight, on May 15, 2013, and saw a giant light.
The object seemed to change shape, I thought I was filming same objecting but not certain.

I grabbed my camera and went outside. It was something different then I had ever observed before. It was beautiful to see so I watched until it disappeared. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Nevada Orbs

 LAS VEGAS -- At about 1 PM, I was sitting on our patio on May 11, 2013. I looked between the two palm trees and saw three white objects, in a V formation, flying north. They were flying at a very slow pace. I sat there for a moment, trying to figure out what I was seeing. These were not planes, not birds, not kites. Drones?

. They were totally silent as they flew toward me but the lead object had gone quite a ways beyond the two bringing up the rear. I called for my husband to come outside. We both stood there, trying to figure out what we were seeing. My husband thought he could see wings toward the rear of the objects. I ran back into the house and grabbed my camera, and dashed out to snap a picture. By then, the objects had stopped coming in our direction and seemed to be separating. Two of them continued flying in formation, and the third took off in another direction. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Chatham -- I was walking home from a friend’s house around 11:30 pm, on May 18, 2013, at Fern and Minton Avenue. I saw a large transparent rectangle slowly floating form south to north in the sky very far from where I was standing. I tend to look at the sky when I'm walking at night but this night was very overcast. I quickly noticed the object. There was no solid feature, but the rectangle outline was visible against the grey sky. The outline was consistent with the moving transparent object. A car came down my street, so I walked away but I wish I stayed and continued to watch. My coworker told me to report it. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Ohio Lights

 New Albany -- I was walking my dog on a dark street, Sunday evening May 19, 2013, near Columbus. A bright orange/yellow object caught my eye, and then five more orange/yellow objects appeared, moving west. I heard nothing.

They seemed pretty low in the sky as well as the appearance was larger than most planes I see fly overhead. In another 30 seconds my gaze had followed the six objects west. I looked east again and saw four more objects, same size, same color, and same flight pattern as the first six moving across the sky.

I snapped a few high def pictures and video with my iPhone and the first group ascends, swiftly, and then completely disappear. I was conscience about light shining on myself and briefly thought, "I should get inside". And I did. Thanks to MUFON CMS

 Muskogee -- Was testing my camera at various zoom levels and focusing 60 feet above ground at 20x optical zoom level on May 22, 2013. I noticed something in the frame to the left of the subject matter after shooting the image. The location was a VA Hospital in Oklahoma. Sky was cloudless as seen in photo. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Virginia Cylinder

Roanoke -- A flying object was seen following along the Blue Ridge Parkway crossing 220S. A 55 year old couple while smoking outside they saw a shiny silver perfect tube with flat ends, no wings or lights silently glide over our house below very few low clouds on August 3, 2011.

They flew south going too slow for an airplane. Using binoculars I only saw small black slits that might be windows near the front end. Path and speed constant until out of sight over ridge. Very low, slow, close, silent. Two adult sober witnesses were amazed by their first UFO but had no camera. Thanks to Deborah

Wyoming Three Lights

Cheyenne -- I left work at 9 pm on May 26, 2013, while driving north past the I-80 overpass on Greeley Highway, and noticed three bright star-like lights toward Warren Air Force Base. It was too bright out for these three lights to be stars and their elevation was too low. Also they were clearly visible to be in our atmosphere. They stayed stationary as I continued to drive. My father and mother also witnessed this event.

As I chased the three lights they remained in a triangle formation but moved very slow but lowering in elevation. I got out of my vehicle on Round Top Road which is west of the air force base to try to capture the lights. This triangle of lights flew lower as the lowest kept brightening and dimming, and flickered red, white, and blue rapidly. I observed for 40 minutes until the lights disappeared. Thanks to MUFON CMS

 Yanchep -- The sunsets in WA Australia are spectacular so I usually try to capture a gem with my iPhone 4G on my daily walk/jog along the beach and sand dunes 60 km north of Perth city.

I ran down a steep 100 meter sand dune to get to the beach for a clear view of the setting sun. I stopped momentarily to take a quick shot before I lost it below the horizon. I couldn't make out with clarity the nature of a dark, 'glowing' object at the top right of the sun (see photo). A few seconds later, the object was gone! I spoke to some fishermen about the disc being tilted towards them and they exhibited signs of anxiety. Thanks to MUFON CMS

 Canada Sightings

B.C. -- I sent you this a while back, and the UFO on the left is quite clear, but after playing with the contrast, I noticed the circle on the right side, in the top of a 200 foot tree in B.C., has what looks like buildings inside, and when the contrast is boosted, there are other circles that appear, which have geometrical designs.

Could these be inter dimensional portals or something? There's definitely something inside the circle in the tree when you zoom in, and I'm sure it was a building with windows.

This scenario was at 1 am, and totally silent. The circle in the right hand tree is really weird, especially when you zoom in and begin to make out structure that has rectangular and precise windows...very strange. Dana Fitzgerald

Fort Providence, Northwest Territories -- I saw a bright yellowish light that just appeared in the sky. It was going in one straight direction, and then it slowed down and then faded away.

It was Saturday May 18th, 2013, and I took a short clip of it in the dark.

Puerto Rico Red Orbs in Formation

Vega Baja – Two to three dozen glowing red objects were seen by three witnesses in the skies on May 2, 2013, flying in close formation. This happened about 10 PM, and lasted a good 25 to 30 minutes. There were clear skies for a 20 mile radius. The objects seem to be flying along the coast heading inland. There was a red formation of pulsating orbs. JOHANNESBURG – There were clear night skies with plenty of visible stars in the sky on May 15, 2013. I went out to see if smoke was coming out of my chimney when a saw a bright orange light (almost like a meteor) light pass from east to west in about 2 to 3 seconds
I told my family but they weren’t interested. 

I came outside again to see if it will happen again. Moments later I saw a bright white light just appear far in the sky from the south moving towards the north but the light become faint and just disappeared after about a minute. Sweden Star

Bromölla -- I was home in my small town sitting outside talking about UFOs and aliens on May 10, 2013, and at this moment both of us noticed a bright moving star-like object flying straight south. Then another bright star-like object appeared at the line the first one was flying but flying the other direction. When the second one appeared the first one slowly disappeared and faded away. The second one did hold that line and traveled as far I could see. Not sure if this really was an ufo or something else. Turkey Bright Star

ISTANBUL -- I was telling my friend that I photographed Jupiter on May 12, 2013, and saw a bright star. I showed it to her and thought this one could be a planet or space station, because it was so bright. Then I stopped walking to check if it was stationary or not. Then the "bright star" just drew a path like a check sign and disappeared behind the buildings. The change of path was like it hit some wall and bounced. Thanks to MUFON CMS

UK England Multiple 'Balls of Light'

Southend on sea, essex -- I was looking out my window at the moon on very clear night on April 28, 2013, and noted just up above me was a big high glowing orange and yellow orb. I got my phone and started to film as I did I watched with my eyes on and off camera as it seemed to go straight into the moon pulsing.

Then it comes from what looked like from behind the moon traveling to my right getting brighter. Then it seemed to start going away from me Over Sea to Kent and then lost sight over some roofs. I was very surprised to see such a thing and took a video that lasted for about two minutes. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Kirton/Boston, Lincolnshire -- I observed a 'swarm' of 15-20 blue/purple lights moving southwest on April 13, 2013, at 9:05 PM. Charles Halt, Former Air Force Colonel, Accuses U.S. Of UFO Cover-Up

LAS VEGAS -- Former Air Force Col. Charles Halt accused the federal government of a UFO cover-up that involves a secret agency to deal with what might be extraterrestrial visitations.

"I'm firmly convinced there's an agency, and there is an effort to suppress," Halt told an audience of 200 people Saturday night at the Smithsonian-affiliated National Atomic Testing Museum.

Two former Air Force officers who were part of the infamous Project Blue Book -- the military's official UFO investigation in the 1950s and '60s -- and a former investigator with Britain's Ministry of Defense were among the panel of speakers for a program entitled "Military UFOs: Secrets Revealed."

Halt, pictured below, was the deputy base commander of the RAF Bentwaters military base in England and one of numerous eyewitnesses to several UFO-related events at Rendlesham Forest in December 1980. He believes the observed UFOs were either extraterrestrial or extradimensional in origin.

"I've heard many people say that it's time for the government to appoint an agency to investigate," Halt said.

"Folks, there is an agency, a very close-held, compartmentalized agency that's been investigating this for years, and there's a very active role played by many of our intelligence agencies that probably don't even know the details of what happens once they collect the data and forward it. It's kind of scary, isn't it?

"In the last couple of years, the British have released a ton of information, but has anybody ever seen what their conclusions were or heard anything about Bentwaters officially? When the documents were released, the timeframe when I was involved in the incident is missing -- it's gone missing. Nothing else is missing," he said.

Halt added that he's never been harassed over the reports he made about the Bentwaters UFO incidents.

"Probably for a couple of good reasons. Number one, my rank and some of the jobs I've held, but also very early on, I sat down and made a very detailed tape and made several copies of everything I know about it and they're secluded away. Maybe I'm paranoid. I don't know, but I think it was time well spent when I made the tapes."

While the lecture panel members didn't always see eye-to-eye on the details of specific UFO cases, one common thread ran through them.

"We share a couple of very important things: We've all been dedicated to serving our country and been very serious about it," said museum CEO and executive director Allan Palmer, who had a distinguished career as a decorated jet fighter pilot for both the Air Force and Navy.

"These are not flaky people, who've all held very responsible positions with high-level security clearances. They're not the kind of people who tend to imagine things or go off on a wild tangent on something. They're very professional, very business-like," Palmer told The Huffington Post.

Making a rare public appearance was retired Air Force Col. Bill Coleman, the former chief spokesman for Project Blue Book between 1961 and 1963.

The controversial study ended in 1969, concluding that there was nothing about UFOs which represented "technological developments or principles beyond the range of present-day scientific knowledge."

Coleman, at left, recounted his own riveting encounter with a UFO while he piloted a B-25 bomber in 1955. The unknown circular object descended from an estimated height of 20,000 feet, heading to the ground, when Coleman attempted to pursue it.

"We were moving at maximum continuous power for the B-25, about 300 miles an hour, and we got right down to the treetops and I closed in on it very rapidly. I said I was going to overtake it -- 'Hang on and put your seat belts on' -- and I made a hard 90-degree bank to try and pull up alongside of [the UFO] and it wasn't there.

"I zoomed up about 1,500 feet, and then I could see the object right on the deck over a freshly plowed field moving at a pretty good speed, and it [was trailing] two vortexes." When Coleman dove behind the trees to try and "head him off at the pass," the UFO was gone. He said it was a typically reported flying saucer.

Coleman concluded his part of the lecture by offering a possible reason why ETs may be hesitant to visit Earth:

"If an alien were to land here, our common cold could kill him. His common cold could wipe out the population of planet Earth. If they're smart enough to build a vehicle that could travel light-years of time, they'd be smart enough to know that our diseases could wipe out people."

During the time that Coleman was the Project Blue Book spokesman, the director of the Air Force study was Col. Bob Friend. He disagreed with the Air Force's negative conclusions about UFOs in 1969.

"My primary explanation for these things is that, yes, they're real, and I think it would be much better if the government or some other agency was to take on these things and to pursue the scientific aspects of it," Friend said.

At Saturday's lecture, Friend, at right, offered an olive branch to the many people who claim to have seen UFOs but have been reluctant to report them out of fear of not being taken seriously.

"UFO sightings are real, and you will not be ridiculed by any honest organization that investigates it. Just come forward, quote your case and allow people to investigate what they can to make some determination about what it is that you've seen. In the future, just remember that we're on your side."

Nick Pope, the civilian member of the UFO panel, acknowledged that many in the audience came to the lecture anticipating the revelation of mind-blowing UFO evidence.

"While I apologize to those people who might be expecting or hoping for a 'spaceship in a hangar' smoking gun, what you are getting is the real deal: an insight from people who have looked at this mysterious and infuriating subject for the government," said Pope, a former UFO investigator for the UK Ministry of Defense.

"The UFO subject is a field which does have its fair share of crackpots and charlatans and cultists. What you have this evening in a field like that is a panel of people who indisputably and genuinely have done this for the government and the military."

Pope recounted how the UK's former official committee, known as the Flying Saucer Working Party, concluded in 1951 that UFOs were just misidentifications, hoaxes and delusions, and that no further time or effort should be wasted on the subject.

"Unfortunately for them, in 1952, there was a wave of sightings throughout the UK, where most of the witnesses were Royal Air Force pilots, some of whom chased these things, and many radar operatives tracked them," Pope said.

As the Ministry of Defense continued investigating UFOs, Pope noted, they kept a close watch on the UFO "community." "We anonymously subscribed to their magazines: Subscription, please send to John Smith, P.O. Box 007, London -- that was us. And I even covertly slipped into the back of UFO conferences."

Pope concluded by saying that the Ministry of Defense always had one thing on its mind about UFOs: "Whatever the nonsense you see about this subject sometimes in the field, we never lost sight of the fact that, in all of these hundreds of thousands of sightings, the believers only had to be right once, and everything changes."

Another UFO lecture panelist, retired Army Col. John Alexander, was a former military insider who convened a special group in the 1980s called the Advanced Theoretical Physics Group, whose members were culled from the military services and the aerospace and intelligence communities. They concluded that while there had been numerous cases of credible UFO encounters, the group couldn't find any evidence of any actual government cover-up.

Alexander cited a variety of intriguing UFO cases involving pilots and told the audience that UFOs are "real and is a global phenomenon -- not something that just happens in the U.S.

"We need to make it permissible for scientists to discuss and research these topics. ... There are no simple answers, and not only do we not have the answers, we're not at the point of asking the right questions yet, and that's what we need to do."

The lecture included a spirited question-and-answer session in which the audience engaged the panel on a variety of UFO-related topics, trying to draw out more detailed revelations.

While no ET body or piece of alien spaceship was brought forward and presented to the audience, those who attended the presentation seemed to appreciate the participants' candor.

Still, the audience probably left with more questions than answers.

Ata -- The So-Called '6-Inch Alien' -- May Have An Earthling Cousin, And Ripley's Wants To Find Him

When a new documentary promised to unveil DNA tests on a 6-inch-tall humanoid found 10 years ago in Chile, everyone weighed in with an opinion.

UFO researchers hoped this might finally be proof of alien visitations. Skeptics were sure it was nothing more than shameless movie promotion.

The latest ripple in this controversy might be the most bizarre turn yet.

And by "ripple," I mean Ripley -- as in "Believe It or Not!"

The tiny mummified figure -- better known as Ata (pictured at right in the above image) -- was found in Chile's Atacama Desert in 2003. It is featured in the recent documentary "Sirius." Even after detailed X-rays, CAT scans and DNA analysis, questions are still being asked about Ata's origin.

Genetic testing -- while not totally conclusive yet -- strongly suggests Ata is 91 percent human. But it's the other 9 percent of unknown properties that still have experts scratching their heads. Further DNA analysis might help unravel the mystery.

Part of the controversy involves some scientists claiming Ata was a human who lived six to eight years, while others insist Ata was a mummified aborted human fetus. You can't have it both ways.

And now, meet Atta Boy (pictured at left in above image). Yes, Atta Boy, also around 6-inches tall, also from the Atacama Desert area as Ata, but reportedly from Bolivia or Peru.

Ata From Chile, Meet Bolivia's Atta Boy

A new book, "A Curious Man: The Strange and Brilliant Life of Robert 'Believe It or Not!' Ripley," has emerged about the life of the globehopping millionaire of the 1930s. His passion for weird and strange things resulted in an international empire of books, cartoons, radio shows and museums dedicated to the strangest oddities of the world.

The book includes a little image from 1933 showing a 6-and-a-half-inch-tall figure standing on Ripley's outstretched hand (see below). The caption refers to the diminutive human as Atta Boy, with a reference to the Peruvian Jivaro Indians (also known as the Shuar), known for their expertise in creating shrunken heads.

"I came across Atta Boy a few times in my research, Neal Thompson, author of "A Curious Man," told The Huffington Post. "One thing Ripley was fascinated by was the miniaturization of the human form, for example, in the cultures where they practiced the shrinking of heads.

"As far as I know, regarding Atta Boy, Ripley didn't leave behind any specific notes about where he obtained it or the background of the body of the boy -- it's a bit of a mystery. I know that Ripley portrayed Atta Boy as a real human as opposed to an alien. He believed that it was an actual miniature mummified human."

Part of the mystery of Atta Boy is whether or not he was a shrunken human or a mummified fetus. The origins of this artifact are not known and after the 1930s, he vanished into obscurity -- or into someone's private collection.

"It appears to me to be a mummified fetus as opposed to a shrunken body," said Edward Meyer, Ripley's vice president of exhibits and archives. "Having seen actual shrunken bodies, it looks very, very different."

But what about the coincidences piling up between Ata and Atta Boy? Both are about 6 inches tall, both from reportedly neighboring South American countries, both from the Atacama Desert area, and both with their own mysteries as to their origins. Are there other coincidences that have yet to emerge?

"I wouldn't even call it coincidence. I just think it's the same story 70 or 80 years later," Meyer told HuffPost. "I don't think that there's just one. I personally believe [Atta Boy] is more likely a Bolivian mummy than a Jivaro shrunken body."

Meyer adds that there were only three known cases where an entire body was shrunk.

"The key thing with the three full bodies is that they're all believed to have been done by a German doctor in Peru. Someone showed him how to do a shrunken head, and he may have wanted to go one step further by trying the whole body.

"To shrink the body, you've got to get all of the bones out. Your skin is like leather, it'll boil, but your bones will not shrink. That's one of the things with shrunken heads that people don't understand," Meyer explained.

"The Jivaro Indians were keeping the head because that is where the soul is supposed to be -- the whole purpose of the shrunken head is to capture your enemy's soul."

Could Ata and Atta Boy be somehow related? It would certainly help if we knew where Atta Boy currently resides -- if anywhere.

Atta Boy is Meyer's personal Holy Grail and he doesn't think HuffPost is crazy for suggesting there might be both a geographical and personal relationship between Ata and Atta Boy.

"If anybody knows where the original Atta Boy is, write to me at meyer@ripleys.com. I have to think that there's a story that's better than the modern Ata if we could find where this thing is or where it's been."

And Ripley's wants to sweeten the deal a little bit. The first person who supplies Ripley's with information that leads to the whereabouts of Atta Boy will receive a lifetime pass to any of the 32 worldwide Ripley's Odditoriums as well as a single-visit pass to each of the Ripley's Aquariums.

If Atta Boy can be found and DNA samples from him could be compared with little Ata, who knows how this could all evolve.

Captain Salas' UFOs Disable Missiles Testimony

Former US Senator Mike Gravel (Democrat Alaska) pointed out during the Citizens Hearing on Disclosure that many former military officers, like retired Air Force Captain Robert Salas, have seen UFOs and observed them disabling nuclear weapons.

"The smoking gun of the whole issue, which is when they saw hovering space craft in Wyoming and South Dakota over the ICBM missile silos that the missiles couldn't work," Gravel said. 

"What we're faced with here is, in areas of the media, and the government too, an effort to marginalize and ridicule people who have specific knowledge."

Captain Salas' UFO Testimony

 Former Air Force Academy graduate and Missile Officer related the UFO incident happened on the morning of March 16, 1967. I was on duty along with my commander Fred Mywald. We were both on duty at Oscar Flight as part of the 490th Strategic Missile Squadron and there are five launch control facilities assigned to that particular squadron. It was still dark out and we were sixty feet underground at the ICBM launch control facility.

It was early in the morning and I received a call from my topside security guard who's the flight security controller. He said that he and some of the guards had been observing some strange lights flying around the site around the launch control facility. He said they were acting very unusual just flying around, and I said, "You mean UFOs?" He said, “I don't know what they are, but they were lights and were flying around. They were not airplanes; they weren't making any noise. They were not helicopters; and they are making some very strange maneuvers.”

It wasn't more than a few minutes – maybe a half hour later – and he calls back. This time he's very frightened. I can tell by the tone of his voice he's very shook up. He says, "Sir, there's a glowing red object hovering right outside the front gate. I'm looking at it right now. I've got all the men out here with their weapons drawn."

I immediately went over to my commander who was taking a nap – we have a little cot down there for rest periods – and I was telling him about the telephone call we just received. As I was relating this to him our missiles started shutting down one by one. By shutting down, I mean they went into a "no-go" condition meaning they could not be launched. Retraction of NARCAP from Disclosure Hearings

WASHINGTON— Captain Jim Courant at left sat next to me at the Citizens Disclosure Hearings and stated “Airline pilots often see unidentified flying objects, but very few report it because of ridicule and possible loss of their jobs. According to the

Anomalous Phenomena (NARCAP) there have been over 3,500 documented sightings of “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” by military, commercial, and civilian pilots.” Captain Jim Courant, a commercial pilot for over 31 years, says there are many more sightings that are just not reported.

Ted Roe Director of NARCAP writes, "NARCAP studies are sometimes used by various members of the “ UFO Community” as evidence that Earth is experiencing incursions by extraterrestrial beings and that the US Government is aware of this and hiding it from American citizens. Recently, NARCAP materials have been referred to in this way by both Stephen Bassett and presenters at the “Citizens Disclosure Hearings”, a UFO conference dedicated to forcing the US government to “ disclose” it's knowledge of extraterrestrial beings and alien spacecraft.

Three Huge Triangular UFOs

Meadowlands – King continues, “Having seen three humongous triangular UFOs myself I look forward to your emails for years now. It was in 1994, that I witnessed three tremendous UFOs appearing thru a clear blue July sky. No clouds in site as if from a curtain in the sky appeared a part of the triangle until the entire thing appeared three times over. All three triangles showed up in formation then suddenly turned on an angle and disappeared from site. I was at the Meadowlands horse stables in the middle of the afternoon rollerblading. My knees were shaking and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. They were larger than the stadiums. There was a grey light on each corner red yellow green. They had a grid underneath them like Star Wars.

I haven’t been the same since. I know they’re out there.

I also for your peace of mind have had an out of body experience in 1979. I must have died and came out of my body as a ghost like transparent version of myself. I could still see and hear only I was transparent. I know your daughters are still living only in a different form. They must be sooo proud of you.

One time in 1993, I flat lined on an operating table. I woke up and the nurse told me they thought they lost me. I told her I had seen Jesus in a dream. We were in a cold climate like Himalayas with mountains. He put His arm beckoning me to come to him. He was in front of what looked to me like a crowd of people from that area. Kenneth Larson writes, “The Los Angeles Times newspaper for May 9, 2013, said that a Texas judge allowed the high school cheerleaders in Kountze, Texas, to hand-letter and display at football games large banners honoring the Creator God such as "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31).

Stop the Tornados with Cloud Seeding

 I send my condolences to those in Moore, Oklahoma and the devastation from a tornado where 24 people were killed including seven children. Additionally billions of dollars damage occurred destroying two schools and 500 homes. I suggest tornados should be studied and a scientific advisory committee developed to stop them from forming. According to the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, tornadoes form when the winds inside a thunderstorm begin blowing in different directions. Warm air from the South interacts with cold air causing a wind shear that causes the clouds to begin to rotate. If that rotation is then caught in the large updraft caused by a super cell storm, the spinning tightens and begins to form a funnel. Initially, the tornado has a good source of warm, moist inflow to power it. Once the funnel is formed, rain and hail causes the funnel cloud to extend towards the ground, causing a tornado.

We know this movement of air can be tracked by Doppler weather radar and is likely the key to defeating the formation of the Tornado. The radar hook echo is one of the classic hallmarks of tornado-producing super cell thunderstorms as seen on weather radar. The echo is produced by rain, hail, or even debris being wrapped around the super cell. The National Weather Service considers the presence of a hook echo as sufficient to justify issuing a tornado warning since it is recognized as a sign of tornado development.

The basic plan would be to spread silver iodide agents or dry ice to form millions of microscopic ice crystals cooling the warmer air. Surplus Harvard aircraft were fitted with racks under each wing containing 32 railroad fuses that were impregnated with silver iodide. These were ignited individually or all at once, depending upon the threat. In coordination with ground units, the aircraft would lay a plume of silver iodide in front of approaching cumulonimbus clouds (CBs) with noticeable effect. Large, active CBs were reduced to nothing. Heavy hail storms were reduced in intensity.

I suggest research and large amounts of silver iodide, or other chemicals dumped into critical areas of the clouds could defeat the formation of the tornado since they are effective in changing the physical chemistry of super cooled clouds.

We could make it rain in Vietnam on enemy roads, so the Air Force has more capability in weather control than the public realizes. Three C-130 Hercules aircraft and two F-4C Phantom aircraft based at Udorn Air Force Base Thailand flew two sorties per day on weather reconnaissance missions and cloud seeding. This knowledge coupled with the study of tornados could lead to calming of the tornado threat. A fraction of the money spent in faraway places with strange sounding names could save American lives and enhance the Air Force image. Bases with aircraft already exist in Oklahoma and the Midwest.

Sightings in the United States

California Object

 North Hollywood/Burbank -- I was on my balcony watching the sky around 8 PM on March 18. 2013, when I first saw the object. I noticed it because it passed in front of a red trail that a plane had left in the sky, making the black object stand out. When I looked to see exactly what it was, though, I couldn’t make out any specific shape. It looked like a tiny black ball in the sky hovering around randomly, changing direction but moving slowly. It seemed to float like balloons tied together, but its altitude and directional changes seemed too active to be balloons.

I ran inside, grabbed my camera, and shot many photos. It flew NW, then made its way north while dropping in altitude, then turned west passing low enough to be seen in front of the mountains. After that it flew north and higher. As I zoomed in I noticed its shape of three perfect circles combined to create a triangular shape.

LOS ANGELES -- Several family members saw a large triangular object with 4 to 6 soft blue lights moving slowly in the night sky on May 16, 2013. The object literally covered much of the visible sky. The object was silent and moving slowly with flashing lights. It was 6 times the size of a jetliner. Four motorcycle cops also saw the object and suggested that the witness report his sighting to a UFO reporting center. The object was visible through the clouds but suddenly vanished. Florida Football

KEYS –- Coming back from Key West to Miami flying an American Airlines flight flying at 12,000 feet and looked down at 45 degree angle out the right window in cloud bank I noticed a football shaped object floating among the clouds on May 15, 2013. It was just going south with the clouds drifting with them. It sort of looked like a blimp at first, but it had no markings just a white football shape. It was 25 feet to 50 feet in diameter? We were over the outer fringes of Southern Florida with lots of swamps below us. The sky was clear with big fluffy clouds about 1000 feet off the ground with numerous with spaces between them where we spotted this object. There were no lights, no markings, and no wings. Ft. Myers Beach -- It was Friday, May 4, 2013, at 9:05 PM, when Gf and I were walking north on Ft. Myers Beach and observed orange lights on the horizon. We were near the Neptune Hotel when we first saw bright orange lights approaching. We saw three at first thinking they were planes on approach to Regional Southwest Airport. The lights were flying southeast and varied in height between 500 and 1000 feet.

Standing on the beach they were on the horizon just to the left of the last light on a building on the beach, and moving towards us from the north. The lights would have been between St. James City and Pelican/Cape Coral cities. These objects were moving at least 2-3 times faster than the inbound jets. At Ft. Myers Beach Island, the objects turned in a southwest and disappeared above the 1,500 foot clouds.

We saw three more lights that traveled in the same way that were well below the jet traffic. We observed 15 of these orange lights approach and head out over the Gulf of Mexico. They made no sound, no strobbing lights, and were 15 feet in diameter. My cell phone photos only shows two orange lights.  Thanks to MUFON CMS

Iowa Three Tiered Object

I l ooked west out our kitchen window at 9 PM, and saw a three tiered object in my yard two feet square maybe slightly taller than two feet. Each tier had three ovals of illuminated, brushed copper on October 15, 2013. It wasn’t shiny, and wasn’t lit up. It was illuminated, but not pulsing. It was hovering silently.

The framework around the bottom was similar to Lego’s, with little sections with holes spaced evenly on each piece. It sat flat on top as all three tiers faced west tilting up at an angle. I was afraid so I watched from the window but it was gone! Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Jersey Lights

 NUTLEY -- On May 17, 2013, the body off the object was not a solid shape, it was curvy and looked like a membrane or textured with a tiny red light on top and the bottom light blinking. Although it could have been a blimp, there was nowhere for a pilot to sit. There was no under carriage and no markings on the huge solid shape that was moving slowly and illuminated from within.

It was very clear, and had a textured skin like scales. I took photos with my iPhone. He and several family members saw a large triangular object with 4 to 6 soft blue lights moving slowly. New Jersey ABDUCTION -- Every day that goes by, I feel that I get more and more lost because of what happened. Here is what I pasted on many sites, when this all happened.

On April 29, 2013, something happened in my dream, or at least I think it was a dream. It was so real, but I never left the couch. As far as I remember I was in a scene where we were some kind of military, but older military, not recent equipment or anything. Then one scene I am literally on top of a submarine because it had surfaced and docked. I am not sure where this was, but then next there were ships everywhere and then people started getting pulled to the sky. I ran and got inside. The next scene sounds funny, but I was going to the bathroom in a dirty toilet.

After that, I was just walking through this place, and wham! I am pulled up. I just know it was some kind of aliens or something that we were running from. And at one point I was in something, like an incubator type thing, but I didn’t see the alien, nor did I see them working on me. I just remember struggling and screaming, bright lights and then some kind of burn on my wrist area. When I woke up this morning, I actually have this mark on my wrist and I cannot explain it. I looked at everything around me, and even try to imprint things that were around me on my arm to see if it matched, and nothing! What has happened? The mark almost looks like a triangle burn mark, but instead of a pointed tip it’s a straight tip. What the heck went on?

New York Alien Abduction in Hudson Valley.

Croton Falls -- Ken Pfeifer reports, I received a call from a 36-year-old woman from Toms River, New Jersey. Gail was very troubled on the phone, and insisted that she talk to me about a UFO related experience that she had during the last part of June of 1987. She had gone to bed about 10 PM; she felt someone was watching her. She then heard a voice say, "We have come for you... You will not be hurt." She then realized that her entire body was paralyzed, and that she could only move her eyes. Gail was lying on her back as three beings dressed in tightly fitting jumpsuits were standing in a single row, one behind the other. The light was dim and she could not see their features, but they were about five feet tall with very long arms.

The leader seemed to have a problem getting into the room as if some type of invisible shield was blocking his way. He lifted up his hand and pressed them against the invisible shield. The leader then took some type of rod out that glowed with a green light and passed it over the doorway. They then walked into the room single file without any effort. They had large heads and cat's eyes that wrapped around their heads. She never heard them talk, but heard all kinds of buzzing noises in her head when the leader communicated with the others. Gail tried to scream but could not; she could only move her eyes.

The leader placed him on her right side, and then one of them went to the foot of the bed and the other on the left side of the bed. The beings on each side of her then placed their hands under her head and raised it up. She then noticed that the one on her left took a tube of what looked like a narrow roll of white cotton and started pushing it up her left nostril. At that moment she felt extreme pain in her head and lost consciousness with the feeling she was falling from a great height.

The next thing she recalls is waking up at 8 AM, with a very bad headache. As she walked to the bathroom, both nostrils started to bleed. She felt something was stuck up her nose, but nothing was there. Her nose was swollen and puffy. She had a rash on her neck, legs, and slightly on her arms. She had hoped that the experience from that night was a dream and tried to block it out of her head.

When her daughter arrived home that night, she told her about what happened and her daughter started shaking because at the same time she and her father were followed by a UFO on Route 116 near Croton Falls. She described to her mother a large dark triangular craft that paced the car for five minutes above tree top level. This lonely route has been the site of several close encounters. NOTE: It is interesting that both mother and daughter had an experience with the paranormal at the same time. The above image is a rendering.

Ohio Orbs

Hillsboro -- I am a retired Air Force NCO, and former Russian crypto-linguist and intelligence analyst with a Top Secret SCI (Code word) security clearance. I was not on any drugs or alcohol while these objects were seen, and I have never been arrested or treated for a mental illness. Yet, I have been hesitant to make this report since September 12, 2007, and it is my wish to remain anonymous.

Numerous flying objects moving randomly were noted around my home changing in size, color, and intensity. Some flew in perfect unison with numerous smaller objects constantly entering and emerging from the sphere moving from 0 to 10,000 feet. They fluctuated in speed and direction with the agility and power. They turned at 90 degree angles while traveling close to Mach one. They never made any sound, though all the jets and helicopters were quite loud.

For about ten minutes numerous objects hovered within 300-500 feet from my home. In a few of the pictures the objects are visible behind a nearby tree. By the end of winter that same tree died and fell over. I saw red lights intermixed mixed with greens and/or yellows.

Throughout the night numerous military aircraft (presumably from Wright Patterson AFB) were in the area with the spheres flying circles around the jets. Helicopters flew by with VERY bright spotlights pointed downward.

Note: The airspace over my home is restricted for military exercises. I called the local sheriff and asked if there were any reports during the night. He laughed and said, "Yes, the military was playing war games and were shooting flares." I have 90 photos of these objects that are not aircraft. Thanks to MUFON CMS

 SPOKANE – I photographed this on May 14^th, 2013- but did not see it. I am sending it because it very much matches Jack Smith’s image from North Carolina that he took on May 12th. Just a little back up.

 Vancouver -- I was on the back deck of my home with my girlfriend smoking on March 3, 2013.  I looked up at the moon and noticed what seemed to a VERY large star very close to it. The star then seemed to slowly move 45 degrees to the side of the moon and stop. It then slowly moved another 45 degrees to the bottom then stop. Within a few seconds of the last stop I noticed a contrail that seemed low to the ground, going from south to north. I then looked back up at the shape and watched it do exactly the same thing in reverse. This happened right after the meteor blew up over Russia, so I kind of thought it might be military. Albania Disk

Tirana – In the capital of Albania two flying objects were observed. They were disk/spheres with a red light line on the middle and were seen for two minutes on March 21, 2013 at 10:30 PM.  Buenos Aires -- The Echo happens in the City of Quilmes Buenos Aires Argentina.
The objects are all the time in the area. Capto thing to photograph because they are not visible at first sight are very high in the sky on May 12, 2013.

Australia Vanishing 'V' formation of Birds

Brisbane -- Formation of nine bird like figures, the size of seagulls flying in a 'V' formation approximately 30 cms above the surface of the Brisbane River (downstream) that vanished into thin air on April 29, 1213. There were no 'flapping' wings on the nine small birds like objects which is why they caught my attention. They were white/grey in color. Sighting lasted for approx. 20-25 seconds.  Canada Sightings Double

 Canadians reported nearly 2,000 sightings of unidentified flying objects last year, setting a new record a national survey found.

The annual UFO Survey by the Manitoba-based research group  UFOlogy, found that Canadians reported seeing 1,981 UFOs in 2012, nearly doubling the previous record of 1,004 that was set in 2008. The survey marks the 24th year the group has tracked UFO sightings in Canada.

Ufology research coordinator Chris Rutkowski works at his computer. According to the group, Ontario residents reported seeing the most UFOs, with more than 40 per cent of all sightings in the country occurring in the province.

KELSEY, MB -- I take pictures of the Northern Lights whenever I can and on Friday, April 26, 2013 I went out to see what I could find. I set my Canon 60D camera up for one last shot at the town site and. took two second exposures. The pictures were taken five seconds apart and objects flew in both directions (180 degrees) and in the next picture it was gone. At two second exposure it was moving pretty slow compared to a shooting star which would cross an average of half of the view with this lens. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Cyprus Circle

Nicosia -- I saw one object, round and white on March 29, 2013 at 8:20 PM. When I first saw it was closer to the earth but by the time I was ready to take pictures it had already started moving away. It was moving southwest across the sky and at some point started ascending

Israel Circle

Tiberias -- All of us saw a circled shape flying towards another brightening shape in white and red. One of the UFOs was hovering and glowing while the other UFO flew towards the other one and suddenly disappeared on April 24, 2013.

Lithuania Light Lands

Rubikiai -- My grandmother in Lithuania near the city of Anyksciai was looking through the window while she was on the phone with my Mom on April 27, 2013 at 7 PM, in the OK.
My grandmother said nearly crying that there was a light landing that brightened, but it had another little light with it and shot right up and disappeared. Malaysia Rectangle

Kuala Lumpur – It was 1:10 AM, when I arrived home and saw what at first appeared to be a plane. As I continued to look, I could see a rectangle with three lights at the bottom. The three lights were whitish-yellow. There was a red blinking light in the middle of the three lights. It was slowly and gently descending.

I asked my family member with me to get the camcorder from inside the house as I continued to look at the object, but the object was becoming fainter as seconds passed by. When I finally got the camcorder I tried to film the object but the object was too faint.

There was a hill there and the object most likely descended behind it but I got a couple of 'blinks' on the video. I filmed the silent rectangle with three lights. As soon as we entered the house we drew a sketch of what we saw. Thanks to MUFON CMS

White Cigar Shaped Object near Moon

Scarborough, Ontario – Photo was taken on May 15, 2013 at 3:11 PM, while on afternoon break at work I thought to try my new camera using the moon as a subject. After taking several zoom shots, I reviewed them on the camera. The last picture reveals a strange white unknown. I do wonder with nature waking up that maybe this could be something natural or maybe other? Due to the fact the camera is on zoom to the Moon it s very hard to say. My friend Robert thinks this could be the International Space Station or even a Mother ship?

South Africa Bright Orb-Like Object Moving Near Ground

Boksburg -- I was lying in bed watching a movie when I saw a bright white star-like light on April 15, 2013. I assumed it was someone using a torch as it was very close to my window. Later I saw the same 'moving light' that was flying up and then down and then sideways and down to the ground. I then really freaked out a bit and then went to my Mom. She asked, “Did you also see that? I said, “Yes, there was like moving light and then joked about it being an 'orb'. She saw had seen bright light against the wall outside and also thought it had been a torch perhaps but there was nobody outside, everyone was in the tv room. An hour I saw the same thing again but haven’t seen anything else so far. Thanks to MUFON CMS

UK England Disc

 MANCHESTER – The commercial pilot reports that he was over the Pennines, about 8 NM southeast of Manchester Airport, at 4000 feet, while being radar vectored by radar on 119.4. He was flying at 180-210 knots on a north heading and squawking 5734 with Mode C selected January 6, 1995. Although it was dark, visibility was over 10 km with a fairly strong northwest wind (340/30). While flying just above the tops of some rugged clouds both he and the first officer saw a lighted object fly down the right side of the aircraft at a high speed from the opposite direction. He was able to track the object through the RH windscreen and side window, having it is sight for about two seconds. There was no apparent sound or wake. The first officer instinctively 'ducked' as it went by. The first officer reports that his attention, initially focused on the glare shield in front of him, was diverted to something in his peripheral vision. He looked up in time to see a dark object pass down the right hand side of the aircraft at high speed. It was wedge-shaped with a black stripe down the side. He estimated the object's size about the size of Jet stream two engine aircraft.

MANCHESTER ATC reports that the B737 was being radar vectored from Dayne to the ILS for RW 24 when the pilot reported a lighted object passing close by above and in the opposite direction. There was no known traffic in the vicinity at the time and no radar contacts were seen.  JAS Note (1): Telephone conversations subsequently took place with both the captain and his first officer. The captain remained convinced that the object was itself lit.

It was similar to a Christmas tree and very close. Following the incident, the captain and first officer independently drew what they had seen, both agreed about the shape but differing in their opinions about the lighting aspects. UK/Scotland Large Cylindrical Light Observed

Large cylindrical light observed over Central Scotland, very over cast, however this cylindrical object is as bright as the moon in cloud cover on April 24, 2013 at 11 PM. It was very large, comet shaped light. Only one phenomena was observed, and appears to be visible on account of flaring from the local refinery. A Different Perspective

I thought that I would expand on this disagreement about what Barry Goldwater (seen here)knew and what he said about UFOs and the possibility of a crash outside of Roswell. I published a copy of the letter that Goldwater had sent to Kent Jeffrey in which Goldwater mentioned the Roswell case. Skeptics believe, and I’m not sure they’re incorrect, that Goldwater assumed that the Roswell debris was housed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base but he didn’t know.

Let me take a moment to explain that. Kent’s letter was from 1994, after Roswell had entered the national psyche. Jeffrey had asked about the Roswell case, so we can draw no specific conclusion from this, other than the answer might have been tainted by either the information in general circulation or by the specific questions asked by Jeffrey.

To continue in that vein, we know that in 1994, in an interview conducted by Larry King and broadcast on CNN, Goldwater said, "I think at Wright-Patterson, if you could get into certain places, you’d find out what the Air Force and the government does know about UFOs. Reportedly, a spaceship landed. It was all hushed up. I called Curtis LeMay and I said, ‘General, I know we have a room at Wright-Patterson where you put all this secret stuff. Could I go in there?’ I’ve never heard General LeMay get mad, but he got madder than hell at me, cussed me out, and said, ‘Don’t ever ask me that question again!’

While this quote does little to confirm the crash at Roswell, and it was conducted in 1994, it does establish that Goldwater asked LeMay about the "Blue Room" as it has come to be known, and that LeMay "cussed him out." Remember, some skeptics (okay, CDA specifically), had questioned this part of the story.

So, it proves that LeMay was capable of "cussing out" a friend and a United States senator. This would suggest that the topic discussed, and here we know that it was UFOs and the "landing" of a spaceship. This would suggest that there was a point that friendship ended and LeMay was talking to Goldwater as a superior officer to a subordinate.

There is another quote, this one from the April 25, 1988 issue of the New Yorker, that is also interesting because it predates the explosion of Roswell information. True, Charles Berlitz and Bill Moore’s The Roswell Incident had been published, but its circulation was limited to those interested in UFOs and its importance to the outside world was confined to UFO enthusiasts.

In a web search I did find a couple of spots where it was reported that Goldwater had said that when he asked LeMay he was told, "Not only no but hell no. And if you ever ask again I’ll have you court martialed." I was unable to establish an original source for this, but I remember seeing it printed in one of the tabloids.

Yes, I know that’s not a good source, but they published a copy of the letter in which Goldwater made the statement. I have not found my copy of that. I saw it a number of years ago.

So, where does this leave us? Well, we have multiple sources which quote Goldwater (including letters he wrote himself) referring to the Roswell case specifically and to a UFO landing generally. We have him talking about it being highly classified, so high classified in fact that he could not gain access as either a United States senator or an Air Force major general. And he confirmed in those sources (I’m thinking the New Yorker and the Larry King broadcast would be hard to dispute) that LeMay cussed him out.

The only thing we can’t establish is if this referred to the Roswell UFO crash. It certainly suggests that there are some highly classified secrets out there that deal with UFOs and some sort of physical evidence from them. It also opens the door for the Roswell case... Goldwater did use Roswell in his later communications.

We also see some of the interesting dynamics at work here. LeMay, as a general (meaning four stars) read the Riot Act to his subordinate, a major general (meaning two stars). He made it clear that the major general would not be allowed to refer the material. Friendship, on this point, did not matter.

Had Goldwater attempted to do an end run by using his power as a senator, he would have had no more luck than he had as a major general. Powerful though he was as a senator, that simply didn’t open the door into this highly classified arena. Goldwater had the grace, and the intelligence, not to push it farther. He knew that was important enough to be kept secret and the moment that one senator was brought in, then others would want to know and at that point the secret was out.

Contrary to what the skeptics say, the situation has been established with a proper documented record. We know the story of Goldwater and LeMay is true, and, according to Goldwater, it concerned UFOs. What we don’t know is if it related directly to Roswell. I suspect it does, and Goldwater suspected it did, but that just doesn’t get us to the end.

NASA Disc

 The image has sparked intense debate among UFO believers and skeptics alike. Some believe the image is evidence that NASA is not being entirely honest with us while others are of the opinion that the anomaly can be put down to lens flare. "Apparently NASA astronauts thought this was interesting enough to take some photos of it and one accidentally made it onto the NASA public site," Waring added.

An unidentified flying object has been captured hovering above the Earth's surface in an image uploaded to the NASA website, sparking feverish debate among citizens.

An image taken from orbit that was featured on NASA's website shows a potentially otherworldly extra.

The impressive shot was taken from high above where ribbons of cloud cover can be seen far below. Eagle-eyed Internet users however managed to see something else in the frame - a small disc-shaped object towards the top of the picture. "Look carefully at the NASA photo above and not only will you notice a UFO in it but if your computer screen brightness is higher, you will also notice that there is a glowing aura around the UFO," said UFO researcher Scott C Waring.

“It’s not just the government doing the embargo,” he adds. “We are doing it because we have been brainwashed to laugh at it.” At a certain point it became impossible to argue.

Thousands of Airline Pilots Witness UFOs

WASHINGTON— Captain Jim Courant at left sat next to me at the Citizens Disclosure Hearings and stated Airline pilots often see unidentified flying objects, but very few report it because of ridicule and possible loss of their jobs. According to the  National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena, (NARCAP) there have been over 3,500 documented sightings of “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” by military, commercial, and civilian pilots. Captain Jim Courant, a commercial pilot for over 31 years, says there are many more sightings that are just not reported. 

“It is almost astounding how many people are in the know on this subject,” he said, speaking before the Citizens Hearing on Disclosure at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on May 3. 

Courant has been researching and studying the phenomena of UFOs for years. He has collected over 3,000 books on UFOs and extraterrestrials, and hosted a television series on the issue titled “New Perspectives” which ran for three years.

He still flies for a commercial airline and because of his exposure on television has become known as an authority on UFO’s and extraterrestrial encounters. He has been contacted, and still is, by many commercial airline and military pilots who are happy to discuss their UFO’s encounters privately but do not want to talk publicly, fearing ridicule and in some cases retaliation.

“They are afraid,” not so much about their status or their retirement benefits, but “they are more afraid for their families,” he said.

He described the experience of one pilot who was flying a 747 over the Pacific in 1980, when he came across a UFO in front of him. “You won’t believe what we saw,” the pilot had said, according to Courant. “This thing was bigger that a 747.”

Courant said the pilot told him that when he got to his destination in Japan, he “was debriefed and told never to talk about it again.”

Courant told the hearing about his own encounter with a UFO. In 1995, he was flying near Albuquerque, New Mexico, when he and his co-pilot saw a blue green oval shape approaching from the left. “In a flash of burning white light, the object suddenly shot up at a 45 degree angle,” he told the hearing. Four other pilots reported to the air traffic control tower that they had also seen the object.

“One pilot said it must have been a meteor,” Courant recounted, adding, “I got on and said ‘Since when does a meteor go back up?’” When asked about his co-pilot’s reaction in a telephone conversation following the Disclosure hearing, Courant said, “He refused to discuss it and has never flown with me again.”

Courant said pilots have reported seeing a variety of craft that appear suddenly and move at speeds impossible with present technology. Reports include cigar shaped craft, triangular craft, and some that are the size of an aircraft carrier or larger. 

He says airline pilots are “very serious in their profession” and not likely to make exaggerations. 

The website NAPCAR, co-founded in 1999, by Dr. Richard F. Haines, a recognized specialist in UFOs and a former Chief Scientist at NASA’s Ames Research Center, has been effective at documenting over 3,500 sightings by military, commercial pilots, but Courant says more needs to be done. UFO sightings are only “the tip of the iceberg” in terms of what has been experienced and what is known about extraterrestrials, he said. “There are certain things I have been privy to, but I can’t get into that here,” he told the hearing. 

Courant said it was time for the United States government to come clean with what its agencies have documented and learned through decades of extraterrestrial encounters.

Israel’s Airstrike on Syria Effective

Israel’s airstrike on Syria was timed to precede a- rebel offensive against President Bashar Al-Assad’s forces according to Egyptian and Jordanian intelligence sources. Al Qaeda-led forces are allegedly advancing on Damascus in coordination with the air strikes. Last week’s strikes target was Fatah 110 missiles, which have very precise guidance system with a better aim than anything Lebanese Shiite Hezbollah has in its arsenal. Israel will not allow sophisticated weapons to flow from Syria to the Lebanese Hezbollah militia.

The main concern for the Lebanese Hezbollah movement is that the collapse of the Syrian regime and its replacement by one led by the overwhelmingly Sunni opposition that will undermine its dominant role in Lebanon. The movement has long relied on Syria for the transshipment of arms supplied by its chief ally, Iran.

This photo released by the Iranian Defense Ministry, claims to show the upgraded surface-to-surface Fateh-110 missile at an undisclosed location, in Iran. The Fateh-110, or "Conqueror" in Farsi, is a short-range ballistic missile developed by Iran. The Islamic Republic unveiled an upgraded version last year that improved the weapon's accuracy and increased its range to 300 kilometers (185 miles). Iranian Defense Minister Gen. Ahmad Vahidi said at the time that the solid-fueled missile could strike with precision, making it the most accurate weapon of its kind in Iran's arsenal.

Reports indicate Israel's weekend airstrike on Jamraya Military Research Complex near the Syrian capital of Damascus killed at least 42 Syrian soldiers, based information from military hospitals. Some reports claimed at least 100 Syrian Army troops were killed.

Apparently, Syria’s sophisticated air defense system has been “substantially” degraded during two years of civil war. The air defense system is was the chief reason the US declined to establish a no fly zone over Syria.

 In the weeks preceding the airstrike, the Syrian Army had scored notable victories against FSA rebels taking back much of Homs a major industrial center the third largest city in Syria of 653,000 people. Thanks to Reuters.

My lovely daughters Vic and Liz both passed away during the last few months due to illness. I’m suffering from the agony of separation from them and they are greatly missed. They gave me the gift of faith and realization that there is a Giver of life.

Arkansas Moving Lights

WALDRON -- On April 6, 2013, we decided to go back and see what we could see, since I just purchased a very nice Nikon D5200 DSLR camera, tripod, wide-angle lenses and large SD card. We wanted to capture something on film, so, I took my dad and two sisters out for a few hours of photography.

After not seeing anything, and taking 196 time-lapse fifteen second photos, I got home and began looking at the pictures. There was an odd streak and I brightened the image and saw a lot more streaks. Nothing can account for the luminescence captured since there was very little light. This is only one of 200 photos that show movement. I did brighten the image to see more detail.

My father and I first witnessed odd objects in the night sky at Poteau River Site 13 Lake Hinkle Dam (just Southwest of Waldron, Arkansas) in the late 1990s on a night fishing trip. Thanks.

California Cylinder

Hacienda Heights -- I am a state licensed branch 3 (WDO Inspector #43953), or better known as a "Termite" Inspector. I take pix during my inspections to document my findings. Later on May 10, 2013, while going over the inspection pictures  I noticed an anomaly in one of the last shots I took while facing west.

I am not claiming this to be a ufo, but it seems to have solidity and was silent. To be honest, it looks a lot like a drywood termite swarmer (IRONIC), but a bug would not show up like this unless it was huge---not to mention, dry wood termites don't start their swarming season until September. I was using my IPHONE 5 to take the pictures. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Colorado Disc

Denver -- A man in, Colorado videotaped a fast-moving UFO several times during November 2012. He sent the video to local news channel FOX 31 who sent their own camera crew to attempt to videotape the UFO, which had been appearing at the same location and time of day. Florida Ring

MIAMI -- My friend looked up at the sky this morning on May 15, 2013, and noticed the sun had a perfectly circular rainbow around it.

He captured it on a digital camera and noticed in the picture the presence of a small white orb just to the right of the sun. It is a clear photo that should be examined further.

Illinois Rectangle and Orbs

URBANA – The witness phoned me and we talked for an hour. She states, “It was January 2002, on a cold, crisp clear night while I was in Grad School at the University of Illinois and was walking my dogs with a friend. We got to the south side of my building and saw five objects traveling northeast in a group in various patterns. They moved smoothly and silently. They started firing what looked like red laser beams straight out in front of them, straight down, and diagonally downward. The beams seemed to disintegrate after a bit.“

On the second pass, the last and fifth object was very low and the size of a football stadium! It was immense and passed directly over us with a barely audible hum heading northeast. It was a large rectangle with tapered corners at the front (see my sketch). The bottom was grey steel material. It had intricate grooves, nooks and crannies. It looked extremely sophisticated with a round hatch door in the middle of the bottom surrounded by multicolor lights. It was like the Gravitron Amusement Park Ride. As it passed over us, the hatch opened and an extremely bright white light flashed on and started strobbing, as if taking photographs.

My friend and numerous students on their balconies saw it. The rectangle circled to the left and it passed us again. I felt terribly frightened, and was surprised there was no news coverage

I called the Champaign airport control tower and Rantoul Air Force Base who said they saw nothing. I called my friend who was Marine and commercial pilot who told me we do not have the technology for what I described, and it would not have been silent. I’m a devout Christian, and I believe that God will protect me from whatever that was. My husband who is an engineer believes me and we know it was not manmade. I find it fascinating and terrifying. JOLIET – My roommate and I were getting ready for bed at 1:29 AM,  my roommate called me over to the window and we saw a orange light shaped like orbs moving north on May 12, 2013. It stopped near our house high in the sky but still large enough to see. It stopped above our neighborhood and split into five similar balls in a triangle formation. We then got his brother and went outside as the orbs rotated to face east and then moved off into the distance and out of sight. We all were a little shaken by what we saw but none of us were freaking out. We then contacted a friend who lived close by and he saw the same exact thing and was able to get a picture. Indiana Light

 MADISON -- I saw what looked like the moon but it was reddish orange and the moon was on the other side of me on May 13, 2013. It reminded me of the sun setting two hours before and had the shape of a crescent moon. I went inside to plug in my camera and when I came back out I couldn’t see it. One minute later my son saw it again that looked like a black full circle on the inside and orange on the outer ring looking like an eclipse.

I was able to get a few pictures before my camera died while it looked like a crescent moon but I wasn’t able to get one of the full circle. I lost sight of it has it dropped down like the sun does at sunset. I am often taking shots of the stars and moon but I haven’t and clue what it was that I and my 13 year old son seen. Massachusetts Unknown Aircraft

QUINCY (CBS) – A mystery in Quincy continues to deepen: Who is flying around the city from dusk to dawn, for the past ten days or so? “It’s frightening, not just weird, but frightening,” said one resident of the Wollaston section. Every night for nearly the last two weeks, residents have spotted a low-flying aircraft doing loops over the city. WBZ has learned the FAA knows what’s going on, but the agency isn’t telling. “I mean it is strange. I don’t know if they’re looking for somebody, I have no idea,” one resident told WBZ. It’s not the state or local police doing the flying, and the FAA is giving out little information, even to city officials. “It’s frustrating, it really is,” says City Councilor Brian Palmucci. I asked, ‘Is it a law enforcement flight? Michigan Jets Chase a Strange Object

 On May 8, 2013, my wife and I stepped on our south facing deck when my wife said, “Is that a satellite?”  Pointing to a bright star in between small round clouds, I said no but looked straight up and in between the clouds there were three small clusters of lights in a triangle shape. My first thought was that it was three jets in a real tight formation. I said they must be military. The lights were a dim red, not blinking or anything. I couldn't tell the speed as the little round clouds covered the lights at 9:47 Pm. For the five seconds I observed the lights, they didn't appear to be moving very fast and heading north. While I was looking straight up and my wife said, “Look northeast.”

Out of the clouds came a bright solid light heading southeast fast! I looked up over the house to see white blinking lights of two jets that were in pursuit of the object. The object flew out of sight to the southeast while the jets followed. The time was May 8, 2013. I called The National UFO Reporting Center and TV 7@4 News but no one else had called. Missouri Lights

 Slater – I’m at home and can see the changing shapes of lights in the sky ever since March 28, 2013. The small lights fly into larger lights and are hanging in the sky.

The small lights fly in straight jerky lines, swirling lines, shooting off and coming back, and taking different shapes and flying from one large "light" to another large "light".  The image is typical. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Jersey Ball of Fire

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP -- I noticed an object flying above the Atlantic City Expressway that I realized was too close to be a star on May 9, 2013. It was a very bright yellow and light was emanating from it. I quickly turned to my sister and said "What in the world is that?" She mentioned that she had seen one before a few winters ago. By this time the kids are looking out the window and they are beginning to panic.

After looking at the object for a few seconds, it shot out a ball of fire that left a trail of light and gradually came to a complete stop below the main ball of light. When the fireball stopped it completely changed to a yellow color just like the first craft, after a few seconds, both balls of light completely disappeared. We were shocked and noticed how fuzzy the radio had gotten.  After a few seconds the radio station we were listening to was back to normal.

Earlier in the day we saw military drones flying in the area for four hours and two military cargo planes and jet fighters. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New York Roller Coaster Light

BAYPORT -- I was indoors on April 6, 2013, when I heard my older sister calling me frantically, “Look A UFO!” (I am 61 and my sister is 63). When I got outside I was looking at a roller coaster ride up in the sky about 50 feet above the distant treeline. A roller coaster ride though has a beginning and an end which I couldn’t see. When this roller coaster just kept traveling, I thought - wait a minute, that’s not possible. I realized something was wrong.
The objects were reddish orange balls and seemed to be in groups of 4-6 connected in groups that were part of a train that undulate up and down. They emitted a glow like trail from each of the group of balls.

They were going up and down, side-ways and moving in a direction - very much like a roller coaster would, except much more exaggerated as they got closer, or moved in a direction. They were coming from the South shore. This train of roller coaster lights moved slightly west, towards us. I ran to get a digital camera, and started to take photos. They seemed to slow down and spread apart always moving but some of the lights froze as I took pictures. They regrouped after a few seconds and flew north,- until the lights seemed to fade out.

They were about 100 feet altitude about a mile away. We saw commercial jets that flew slower and looked primitive compared to how these other objects traveled. I was very nervous and took three photos and called 911 and I was instructed to call some government agency that dealt with reports of terrestrial air plane problems.  Thanks to MUFON CMS

Oregon Flame

Forest Grove – On May 6, 2013, about 9:15 pm, I was taking an evening walk after sundown when I noticed a slowly moving light in the sky above the northwest horizon. At first I thought it was the headlight of a private aircraft at a few thousand feet altitude, but it had a strange color. After a minute or so, I realized it had no red or green nav lights, nor any flashing lights; just a bright steady coppery colored light. It was close to the color of a sodium vapor street light similar in size to Venus but much brighter. It traveled in a steady, straight line to the southeast. There was no sound that I could hear.

Once it passed overhead the light became somewhat flicking but of the same color and intensity and disappeared behind some trees. The event lasted five minutes from when I first observed it.

I am inclined to think it may have been a rocket, or a spacecraft re-entering the atmosphere but I checked the news and web sites and found nothing. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Texas Triangle Pattern

 North Richland Hill -- UFO/orbs/triangle formation witnessed hovering for a period of over an hour on May 4, 2013.  After hearing a loud boom I rushed outside to investigate.

Not claiming boom was related, but very ironic timing if it’s not related directly in my line of vision after walking out front was the UFO, essentially commanding my attention.

I have had reoccurring dreams for many years about seeing lights in the sky from the same vantage point, so that helped to command my attention.

The more I observed it, and the more others around me observed it, it became quickly apparent that it was not an aircraft.  A couple days later that I discovered the triangle pattern, and coordinated maneuver while editing the footage. That was when the full truth finally sunk in. I have at least five witnesses from three vantage points of video footage to back me up. My wife and I even viewed the object through binoculars and clearly saw the strange light patterns through the binoculars as well. Even while witnessing these objects in person, I didn’t fully see or comprehend the multiple objects in formation.  Thanks to MUFON CMS

We were walking through the woods at night on May 12, 2013, looking in the sky and our friend pointed it out an alien UFO or something. It was a black triangle shaped object and in the corner of all three edges of the triangle was a bright white light. It suddenly appeared literally out of nowhere and then drifted to the side before it stopped in mid flight and started to hover.

Then its three triangular lights changed to one single bright white light and disappeared. We were so scared because we were in the middle of the woods and we started freaking out and were terrified. It just disappeared right in front of us! Thanks to MUFON CMS

Wisconsin Lights

Burlington -- On May 4, 2013 around 9:35 PM my husband went out to our car and immediately ran into the house screaming my name. When I got outside I saw almost directly over our home bright orangish orbs. I watched for a minute and realized they were not Chinese lanterns. But these “orbs,” were following one another in a horizontal line. After seeing three groups of four, the last group had an orb that stopped mid air and went another direction. After it left the pack it stopped again, dropped and disappeared from the sky.

Some neighbors were having an outdoor BBQ and were screaming out asking: “What was that?”  We got into our car and attempted to follow the orbs but they shot away and disappeared. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Australia Cylinder

launceston – The witness reports seeing a long grey metallic cylinder shaped UFO that is rounded at both ends with even spaced things on side, like large rivets. These could be windows or portholes. The hovering cylinder was over head facing west at about 2,000 feet high on a bright sunny day on January 10, 1954. With the earth revolving to the east it was slowly moving west.

When my father came in for lunch I said, “What is that?”

He looked up and said, “I don’t know.” I have always wondered what it was and after lunch it was not there.  I was about six years old then. Thanks to MUFON CMS

DARLINGTON, PERTH – Rob Hartland writes, “This website was created to share images of unusual craft (UFOs) that I have been

photographing in the day-time sky over our house in Darlington in the Perth Hills of Western Australia since early November 2012.” We don’t see these craft with the naked eye but detect them on the digital images when viewing and enlarging them on a computer screen. I use a compact digital camera, the Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100, which has a 20 megapixel / 1 inch CMOS sensor to take high resolution images which are later enhanced using a photo-enhancing program like Adobe Photoshop.

These craft are fast-moving and fly at fairly high altitude as I usually focus the camera on the edges of mid- to high-altitude clouds. I usually take a series of 20 to 30 photos on continuous shooting mode with a fraction of a second between each photo. When captured, most of the times these craft are present in only one and occasionally two of the series of 20 images. I usually take about 300 images at a time, especially when there are wispy high-altitude clouds. On some days there may be craft present in more than 5% of the photos, although many are too small for enhancing  so I only look for the really good ones.

Canada Object

Toronto --  On May 8, 2013, at 7:45 pm, the plane West Jet flight 629 was descending to Toronto Pearson Airport for landing, and traveling at 361 mph and 5500 feet according to the information/entertainment display screen behind the seat.
I was looking out the window and saw an

object that flew from the front to the back of the aircraft. I couldn't tell if the object was stationary or moving. A boy about 7 years old sat behind me was also looking out the window and asked, "What is that?" 
The object was in clear view a 1000 feet below the right side of the plane. It was square, had no wings, beige in color, and relatively big. By comparing the object with the jet engine view, the cross section of the object is about 10% of the jet engine air intake diameter.  The whole event lasted for a second. It was an amazing sighting and a second seemed quite a long time. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Montreal -- I was driving along Champlain Boulevard in LaSalle and noticed a plane in the sky with another object beneath it on May 7, 2013. My first thought was that it was a helicopter, but it was really going fast. The plane was flying at 45-50 degrees above the object was like 25-30 degrees above the horizon. This object descended really fast like it just dropped, to about 10 degrees above the horizon and flew at a really fast clip to the north. I watched it for about three minutes before it disappeared. I kept thinking that I don't recall planes flying that low at that speed over a city. Thanks to MUFON CMS

  CHRISTCHURCH -- Published May 12, 2013 by Shahra Walsh. The release of "wish lanterns" at a birthday celebration for a cancer sufferer may explain "strange" lights seen in the skies last night. The Chinese Lanterns were released in Fendalton for Danelle Wakefield who has a rare shoulder cancer .

A witness saw "strange lights" over Bryndwr last night and states. "My husband and I were leaving our property on Aorangi Road at 8 pm when we saw strange lights in the southern sky. When I first looked they appeared to be fireworks, however they were not as they remained bright orange in color and in a formation of 12 lights moving at the same rate," she said. The pair saw the lights head north in two groups.

"We turned the car engine off and stood on the road looking at them as they moved slowly, steadily and silently.”One of the lights trailed behind the rest and moved faster than the others horizontally in an easterly direction."

The couple took a video of the lights on their mobile phone and say the lights appeared to travel just above the clouds. "As they passed overhead their orange glow slowly dimmed and they went to a grey color and could be seen to be circular in shape. There were no flashing wing tip lights to indicate an aircraft." Katie Ferguson and her flat mate also saw the lights. "He saw 12 lights [and] yelled out. I raced out to look and I could see six orange lights hovering in the same place. "They were in two groups of three, then they distanced themselves from another and moved rapidly away," she said.

Nathan Hanna said the lights traveled north against the easterly breeze. One even appeared to move independently in an opposite direction at one point. "I can't say what the UFOs were, but can safely say they weren't lanterns," he said.

It is highly unusual for satellites to behave in this way although I'm not ruling them out. But they are unidentified as they were too high for any conventional or military aircraft. There were moving in space and the digital night vision equipment I was using was easily able to pick them up and track them. “Alien Nation: Have Humans Been Abducted by Extraterrestrials?” has just been released in the May 10 online issue of Vanity Fair Magazine at  http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/2013/05/americans-alien-abduction-science

Ralph Blumenthal, a non-fiction author and award winning journalist for the New York Times (1969-2009) interviewed a group of abduction researchers, and several experiencers, in Newport, RI last July, on the porch of Anne Ramsey Cuvelier’s blue Victorian inn on Narragansett Bay, in Rhode Island. Also present were astrophysicists from a leading institution and the director of the McLean Hospital Southeast.

Blumental interviewed Kathleen Marden, the director of abduction research for the Mutual UFO Network and niece of Betty and Barney Hill. She discussed her research on her book Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience, coauthored with Stanton T. Friedman, and her work as an abduction researcher.

Blumenthal also wrote of Barbara Lamb, a psychotherapist and family counselor, well known for her with experiencers and Linda Cortile, whose 1989 alien abduction from her 12th-floor window overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge was brought to fame by Budd Hopkins.

The article’s primary focus is upon the life and work of John Edward Mack, a prominent Harvard psychiatrist who had the courage to investigate the alien abduction phenomenon and express his belief that this is real.

Kathleen Marden’s new book with Denise M. Stoner, The Alien Abduction Files (introduction by Stanton T. Friedman), will be officially released on May 20. “I feel the scientific study of UFOs is for the benefit of humankind and is an important endeavor. The weekly intelligence report provides you with information on the latest sightings and UFO news that you need to understand the world situation.”

The purpose of these files is to report the UFO eyewitness and photo/video evidence that occurs on a daily basis around the world and in space. These Files assume that extraterrestrial intelligent life not only exists, but my hypothesis is that the over a thousand UFOs reported each month represent technologically advanced spacecraft conducting surveillance of Earth. I personally became interested in UFOs when London Control ordered me to intercept one over England while flying for the US Air Force. Under Project Blue Book, the US Air Force investigated UFOs for more than twenty years; and we continue this research.

Citizens Hearings on Disclosure was Excellent

On the right is Steven Bass who arranged the excellent Citizens Hearings on Disclosure. I was impressed by all the speakers and the retired Congressmen and Congresswomen. I wish they were still in office, but I will be sending them my weekly files and hope they will pass them on to their friends. The main ballroom of the  National Press Club in Washington, D.C. was converted to look like a Senate hearing room for the five day hearing,. The Hearing Committee included former Senator Mike Gravel (D-Alaska), former Congresswomen Darlene Hooley (D-Ore.), Carolyn Kilpatrick (D-Mich.), Lynn Woolsey (D-Calif.), and former Congressman Merrill Cook (R-Utah). These intelligent people have seen the evidence by forty experts and know the phenomenon is real.

Congresswoman Carolyn Kilpatrick Praises Testimony at Hearing

I had a pleasant conversation with Congresswoman Carolyn Kilpatrick who told me she was very moved by the testimony of pilots as well as from the other witnesses during the week.

She said, "I've heard some of the most intelligent, scientific and universal knowledge on the topic that I didn't know I was going to witness. Yesterday, we heard from 12 different countries who have hundreds of years of scientific intelligent information on this subject.

"It behooves us, as human beings, in what is known as the greatest country in the world, to participate in that discussion. To not act like something exists and then to further act like it's a joke, we do a disservice to our ancestors, to God and to the people of the world. "I want the world and the universe to continue. And if there is something out there -- and I'm not a scientist -- there's a whole lot we don't know. I think it's ignorant of any people not to seek out what we need to know to continue the universe. "I was convinced before this morning's panel that there probably is something out there, and I'm willing to work the rest of my life to see that, if it is, how we can enhance the universe to see that we all have a better quality of life."

Sen. Mike Gravel Says White House Is Hiding UFO Evidence

During a meeting held by UFO advocacy group Paradigm Research, six former congress representatives were paid $20,000 to reveal their thoughts about  UFO sightings and extraterrestrial visits.

Former Sen. Mike Gravel (D-Alaska) said, “I believe that the White House is hiding the truth about "extraterrestrial influence that is investigating our planet."

"It goes right to the White House, and of course, once the White House takes a position, 'well there's nothing going on'…it just goes down the chain of command, everyone stands toe," he said.

Gravel pointed out that many former military officers, like retired Air Force Capt. Robert Salas, have seen UFOs and observed them disabling nuclear weapons.

"The smoking gun of the whole issue, which is when they saw hovering space craft in Wyoming and South Dakota over the ICBM missile silos that the missiles couldn't work," Gravel said. 

"What we're faced with here is, in areas of the media, and the government too, an effort to marginalize and ridicule people who have specific knowledge."

After he was asked about the fact that he was given money to make a speech, Gravel insisted it did not influences his agreement with the testimony.

"This is an opportunity which I've taken to focus on this issue for an entire week and the preparation I made in coming to it, for my enrichment that's very important," he said. NY Daily News

Hearing Testimony

I spoke with all these panel members who had excellent presentations.   Peter Davenport, director of the National UFO Reporting Center, who recounted eyewitness reports of UFOs hovering motionless and able to change direction more quickly than earthly technologies would seem to allow. Peter Robbins, a researcher and lecturer, who told about the Rendlesham Forest Incident in the U.K., where U.S. Air Force personnel said they witnessed a UFO. Gary Heseltine, a former U.K. police detective, who has collected sightings from police officers stated, "I now have over 425 cases involving over 940 British police officers," Heseltine told the panel. "Over 70 percent of these cases are multiple-witness-officer cases."

Linda Moulton Howe, a researcher and filmmaker who studies livestock mutilation, brought slides of horses and cattle that had been stripped of flesh and their organs removed surgically, and were left on soft patches of earth without any surrounding tracks. Howe said.

The Discovery of Water on Mars

Dan Travers writes, “After I came to the Discovery of Life on Mars website, I then scrolled down to this landscape photo on Mars. The West Valley of the Columbian Basin in the Gusev Crater has what looks like a creature or statue in the sitting position when zoomed in. The photo was taken by the "Mars Exploration Rover Spirit" in November 2007.” 

Because of the Creature, I often looked at this photo and I decided to zoom in on the mountain in the distance just out of curiosity. Zooming in it appears to be a lake. You can see that it seems to be lower than the surrounding landscape in which is indicative of land around water. I increased the brightness and contrast to bring out any detail. There are ripples in the water as to indicate wind is hitting on its surface.

Nine days later, I found an even "larger resolution" and at closer range, it is more of a "Hill", than a mountain. Also, it’s more of a "Pond", rather than a lake. On the website that says "The Discovery of Life on Mars" under the INTRODUCTION area, is written and underlined:  photograph by NASA-JPL was PIA10214.

It takes a while to down load the photo.  It is about little over two and a half times larger than the other one.  The other one is 5,000 by 1,367 Pixels and this one is 12,756 by 3,487.

Here, the photo of the immediate landscape, the hill, the pond and a small portion of the sky. On this page, because this is the original color and it’s at a distance and therefore, had to zoom in, is a bit dark.  In my personal binder book, it is in two sections because; it is a little larger than the enhanced previous one of brightness and contrast change.

Over time, NASA has continued to dismiss that there is liquid water on Mars.  I wonder what their excuse will be about this one. There have been apparently other people that have found liquid water on Mars, however to my knowledge, no response for these people from NASA. I just happen to "so far to my knowledge", be the first one to find it in this area by "ZOOMING IN". Thanks to Dan Travers of Montrose, New York, MUFON UFO Researcher and Amateur Astronomer, 

Strange Polish Deposited Stones

Nancy Talbot sent this eyewitness UFO case in Poland resulting in apparently deposited "stones" subsequently determined to be vitrified soil.  Multiple "drilled" holes (some quite deep) in general area were also discovered in conjunction with UFO sightings. In each case the soil removed was missing altogether: .

In August 1998, Mrs. Kuss thought she was seeing a meteorite, but the object was descending too slowly, at 2:00 Am. It even "stopped" for awhile, and would then continue its descent. The fiery object, which was 150 meters in front of her windows, appeared to be only 3-4 meters across.

" It was glowing like a piece of [hot] iron in a field.” She told her family about it the morning and showed them where it landed. The object was retrieved by her 11 year old grandson Milosz, who found 10 to 15 "stones" placed in an "irregular" circle on top of the grassy area. They were the size of a basketball or slightly smaller. There were no traces of anything burnt. He took smallest stone in the middle of the irregular ring of stones,  the other green stones like a green glass bottle were too heavy for Milosz to lift back to the house.

A day or two later he took a wheelbarrow to pick up the rest of the "stones," but they were all gone. I don't think they were taken by people, but by an object that landed here. Milosz reported a few additional details, in particular the fact that the one stone with sharp edges he had retrieved "glowed green" on these edges for about half-a-year:

Israel Attacks Syria

TEL AVIV, Israel, May 4, 2013

Israeli warplanes struck weapons inside Syria that were bound for the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, American and Israeli officials say.

The attack, which reportedly took place Friday morning, was the second such strike this year; further raising fears that Syria's two-year civil war could spill over into neighboring countries.

News of the strike comes as graphic evidence emerges of what a watchdog group says are scores of deaths in fighting and mass executions by forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad in and around the coastal city of Baniyas. Hundreds are reportedly fleeing amid fears of further sectarian-fueled violence.  Israeli officials told The Associated Press that the targets of the strike were sophisticated "game-changing" weapons, including long range ground-to-ground missiles.

Israel has repeatedly warned that it would not hesitate to act to prevent its enemies from getting their hands on weapons, particularly chemical weapons.

"Syria has large amounts of chemical weaponry and missiles. Everything there is under [regime] control," Gilad said.

Israeli jets also bombed a military research facility north of Damascus Sunday and missiles hit an ammunition dump containing chemical weapons in the Qaysoun Mountains on the edge of Damascus. Heavy explosions shook the city according to rebel spokesman as Israel struck Iranian-supplied missiles that were en route to the Hezbollah militia in Lebanon. TV showed a fireball rising into the sky after Sunday's strikes.  Syria responded angrily to the air strikes warning that the attack "opens the door to all possibilities." Israel has not claimed responsibility, but moved anti-missile batteries to the north and shut down the air space to civilian flights as tensions rise. Thanks to ABC.

Space Shuttle STS 61 C videotaped this object

STS-61 was the first Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission, and the fifth flight of the Space Shuttle Endeavour. The mission launched on 2 December 1993 from Kennedy Space Center restored the space borne observatory's vision, marred by spherical aberration, with the installation of a new main camera and a corrective optics package. The flight also brought instrument upgrades and new solar arrays to the telescope. With its very heavy workload, the eleven day mission was one of the most complex in the Shuttle's history and snapped this photo of a triangle in space. Astronaut Musgrave who was on the mission was rumored to going to talk at the Citizens Hearing. Thanks to NASA.

I’m Sorry to say my Daughter’s Dr. Victoria Anne Filer and Elizabeth Lynne Filer passed On

My lovely daughters both passed away during the last few months due to illness. I’m suffering from the agony of separation from them and they are greatly missed. The world will be darker place without them even though I have accepted they have moved on to a better place. They gave me the gift of faith and realization that there is a Giver of life.

And I think faith is a gift that provides strength and happiness. I discovered I can be sort of happy of even now. It’s not always easy, but you can choose to be content, and in the vast majority of circumstances there’s no one who can stop you from happiness except yourself.

 I was blessed seeing them born and going on to be with the Lord.

Benjamin Franklin probably said it best,

"Finding myself to exist in the world, I believe I shall, in some shape or

other, always exist."

The truth is happiness doesn’t come from wealth, perfect looks or even a perfect relationship. Happiness comes from within. This is why, if you truly want to be happy, you need to work on yourself. I just lost both my lovely daughters that have caused me great grief, but I believe they are up there with the Lord helping in my mission in life to expose the truth about the UFO phenomenon. Our lives are a marvelous succession of wonders and I was blessed to have them. I still have my memories, a loving wonderful wife and son.

Remember to let your loved ones know you appreciate and love them; life is more fragile than you know.

Alabama Rectangle

Montgomery – I was driving over an overpass on I-65 with clear skies when I noticed a bright object on May 6, 2013, as I went around a curve in the road. Object had a white center increasing yellowish hue to edges with thin red outline. I was traveling at 35 MPH with the two miles in front of me at 5,000 feet AGL. Object moved away from my direction of travel in a straight line increasing to over 4,000 mph. Object turned increasingly red as it moved away and turned completely red at last visible location. Visually it was about the size of a basketball when first observed and was the size of a star when visibility was lost. Best guess of total distance object traveled before losing visibility is about 15 miles. It either stayed at same altitude or descended slightly. Thanks to MUFON CMS

California Disc

 Niland -- My husband and I had just gotten married in Las Vegas and we were on our honeymoon sight-seeing in the nearby states. We arrived in Slab City at Salvation Mountain on April 25, 2013, at about 2:30 pm. I gave a donation and turned to take a picture of the awesome man made mountain. It was then that I started scrolling through the pictures and saw a UFO.  I did not see it.  I screamed and giggle hysterically because I had FINALLY caught a UFO after looking towards the sky for years.

My new husband thought it was a helicopter, so I enlarged and zoomed in on this awesome photo and even he HAD to say it was no helicopter! We drove to Roswell and acquired the MUFON brochure and here I am. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Florida Lights

 Clermont -- My friend and I saw six weird lights in the sky in the same general area on May 4, 2013. We were on a side road off of highway 27 just north of the Citrus Tower at 8:37 PM. They were silent and seemed pretty close. I snapped this picture and you can see three of them in the picture. We have no clue what it could have been.

Georgia Orbs

Fall river -- Around mid afternoon I was sitting in my backyard with two other people when I noticed a Cessna type aircraft overhead on May 5, 2013, While looking at the plane I noticed that at much higher elevation there were three round like objects. One was red the other two were white and all were reflecting sunlight.

They were heading south at first then the red one slowed down considerably and the two white ones continued on in close proximity to each other before one changed direction rather abruptly and accelerated west.

The other maintained its speed and continued south. I lost sight of the red one while it was still pretty much overhead. The strangest thing was the direction change and acceleration. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Minnesota Cloud Face

McGregor – He spotted among many photos ‘’taken on March 29, 2013, from 2:19 until 2:40 PM, this strange face in the clouds. The witness states, ‘I am finding ufos nearly daily

Montana Cow Mutilation –

BROWNING -- William Puckett reports, “I called the witness regarding a sighting of “strange lights” in the sky that occurred on April 19, 2013.” She said that, “These strange behaving lights have recently been noted on many nights and have been witnessed by family members.”
The witness was assisting her brother-in-law and sister with calving” operations five miles south of Browning and all cows were checked and fine at 4:30 AM.  At 7:10 AM, after sunrise the animal was found mutilated and her calf was also dead. The only blood found was around the mouth where precision cuts had been made. Predators would not touch the animal. The witness snapped several photos a few hours after the mutilation was noted. No “UFO” activity was noted at the time of the mutilation but unusual nocturnal lights had recently been noted on several nights. New Jersey

I was just reading this below and the drawing of the UFO that Commander Bethune reported over Iceland looks like the one I saw here in New Jersey.  More than any other drawn picture, artist's rendering, or photograph I’ve seen in your newsletter, which I have been reading since I saw a UFO the summer of 2011. It wasn't as big as the one they saw, but the description of how the lights change based on how much power is being used really interested me. The one I saw did not change the lights colors, and they stayed red the whole time I was watching it. Also, the pattern of lights coming from all over the UFO is what I saw. And there was a "hazy" effect, same as reported in your article.   You published what I had seen in the summer or the fall of 2011.  I just wanted to tell you about the similarity of what I saw to what he is reporting. New Jersey in front me 250 feet up.

EGG HARBOR -- I was sitting on my back porch watching the doves in the trees on April 9, 2013, I saw a small object coming from the left about 250 or 300 feet off the ground across the trees in front of me above my house. It then looked like a bird to me at first then it looked like balloons and then it got closer, I could see what it was, it looked gun black, about 10 feet round and 6 to 8 feet tall. It looked like a thread bobbing, it flew across the sky, the same speed and until it went out of my sight. It took about 30 seconds to go from left to right, absolutely no noise, it blew my mind. I could not believe I saw that in the sky. I live two miles from FAA center in New Jersey. I have seen every plane that the Air Force has flown over my house, it was not a plane. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Woodbridge -- I was standing on my porch and looking up at the sky on April 28, 2013, when out of nowhere this odd shaped thing flew over my house. At first I thought it was some sort of falling material. I just watched as it with no sound no light and no emission. This has not been the first time I’ve seen a ufo by my house but this was very odd and was so much different than the others. It’s hard to explain. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Texas Triangle

 Granbury -- Walking out to my car after work. (Parking lot at the Waterview Senior Living Center next to the Hilton. There was a red light blinking in the sky and it caught my eye that kept changing colors on January 17, 2013. The object was triangular/boomerang shape that seemed to have three distinct sides with a hollow center. Its motions were up and down and side to side. It was silent but very fast. I was perplexed as to what it was and became somewhat giddy with an adrenaline rush when I realized I could not identify the object. I lost sight of the object when it just disappeared. One second it was moving erratically and changing colors, the next it was just gone. I got in my car and went home. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Virginia Saucer

I got up early to take a picture of the grass I cut so after I snapped a picture on April 23, 2013, something told me to look up to the left then my heart stopped and I felt scared.

It was a saucer picking up or dropping something I had chills and wanted to leave my cousin was stuck but saw it then it move so fast or vanished right there and we ran but I took a picture if you blow up in the upper left above the tree it’s there but I can make out the beams and all. Worldwide UFO Sightings

Atlantic Ocean – 1:30 AM GMT (9:30 PM ADT)

47.00N 050.00W -- A three man crew was flying a FEDEX MD-11 from Paris, France to Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday night about 0130Z, at FL340, heading 280 Magnetic on 28 April 2013. We noticed an object almost directly in front of us and about 45 degrees from the horizon that went from dim to bright, to dim again and then disappeared.

This only went across about two inches of sky as we looked at it, lasted about twenty seconds, was very bright and then was gone. It was very high and obviously in space. We really couldn’t decide on whether it was coming toward us, or going away. The moon was bright off our left side and behind, but visible from the left window. The sun was on the other side of the earth.

We assumed that we saw a meteor ricochet off the atmosphere and didn’t think anything of it. Both of us sitting in the cockpit saw it. Then, a short time later, we saw it again in the same area of sky, same duration, same brightness. We thought that it couldn’t be another meteor, so our next thought was that it was the space station and we were seeing it being reflected off the sun. But it happened fairly close to the last sighting and we thought that it couldn’t have gone around the earth in that amount of time. Then, we saw it again. This time I started my clock to time the event.

Then, we saw it again. It had only been 8 1/2 minutes. Our second pilot came into the cockpit and we briefed him on the sighting. We darkened the lights, and at about the 8 1/2 minute timeframe, we saw it again. We ended up watching this thing come and go every 8 1/2 minutes, (plus or minus a few seconds) for almost 2 hours. The final sightings were about 42.00N/070.00W and about 03:30Z,  two hours later. Though we were traveling about 6 miles a minute westbound, and the earth was rotating, the object kept getting lower on the horizon until it wasn’t visible anymore. I did get a short video of it from my iPad, but it doesn’t show much, and the object wasn’t as bright as our earlier sighting. I have never seen anything like this in my 19,000 hours of flying and can only assume that it’s some sort of government object, but for it to be repeatedly seen for so long and so consistent, is a mystery.
