Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

I've
now recorded 30 cow mutilations and one raccoon mutilation in the State of
Missouri, which occurred over the past 40 years. It seems there was a cluster of
mutilations in the 1970's, and now history is repeating itself. Some of the
strangest facts are: 1. All mutilated animals were found with their head facing
east. 2. No blood was found, even though large wounds were inflicted on the
animals. 3. The same or similar organs were removed from each one. 4. No coyotes
or buzzards will eat on an animal that has been mutilated. 5. When there is a
mutilation in Missouri, there is also one in Colorado at about the same time.
Why? We are looking for answers. Some ranchers report strange unidentified orbs,
and fireballs on their property at the same time an animal is mutilated. Please

Scientists create never-before-seen form of matter
Harvard and MIT scientists are challenging the conventional wisdom about
light, and they didn't need to go to a galaxy far, far away to do it.
Working with colleagues at the Harvard-MIT Center for Ultracold Atoms, a
group led by Harvard Professor of Physics Mikhail Lukin and MIT Professor of
Physics Vladan Vuletic have managed to coax photons into binding together to form molecules a state of matter that,
until recently, had been purely theoretical. The work is described in a
September 25 paper in Nature.
The discovery, Lukin said, runs contrary to decades of accepted wisdom about
the nature of light. Photons have long been described as massless particles
which don't interact with each other shine two laser beams at each other, he said, and they simply pass through one
another.
"Photonic molecules," however, behave less like traditional lasers and more
like something you might find in science fiction the
light saber.
"Most of the properties of light we know about originate from the fact that
photons are massless, and that they do not interact with each other," Lukin
said. "What we have done is create a special type of medium in which photons
interact with each other so strongly that they begin to act as though they have
mass, and they bind together to form molecules. This type of photonic bound
state has been discussed theoretically for quite a while, but until now it
hadn't been observed.
"It's not an in-apt analogy to compare this to light sabers," Lukin added.
"When these photons interact with each other, they're pushing against and
deflect each other. The physics of what's happening in these molecules is
similar to what we see in the movies."
To get the normally-massless photons to bind to each other, Lukin and
colleagues, including Harvard post-doctoral fellow Ofer Fisterberg, former
Harvard doctoral student Alexey Gorshkov and MIT graduate students Thibault
Peyronel and Qiu Liang couldn't rely on something like the Force they instead
turned to a set of more extreme conditions.
Researchers began by pumped rubidium atoms into a vacuum chamber, then used
lasers to cool the cloud of atoms to just a few degrees above absolute zero.
Using extremely weak laser pulses, they then fired
single photons into the cloud of atoms.
As the photons enter the cloud of cold atoms, Lukin said, its energy excites
atoms along its path, causing the photon to slow dramatically. As the photon
moves through the cloud, that energy is handed off from atom to atom, and
eventually exits the cloud with the photon.
"When the photon exits the medium, its identity is preserved," Lukin said.
"It's the same effect we see with refraction of light in a water glass. The
light enters the water, it hands off part of its energy to the medium, and
inside it exists as light and matter coupled together, but when it exits, it's
still light. The process that takes place is the same it's just a bit more
extreme the light is slowed considerably, and a lot more energy is given away
than during refraction."
When Lukin and colleagues fired two photons into the cloud, they were
surprised to see them exit together, as a single molecule.
The reason they form the never-before-seen molecules?
An effect called a Rydberg blockade, Lukin said, which states that when an
atom is excited, nearby atoms cannot be excited to the same degree. In practice,
the effect means that as two photons enter the atomic cloud, the first excites
an atom, but must move forward before the second photon can excite nearby
atoms.
The result, he said, is that the two photons push and pull each other through
the cloud as their energy is handed off from one atom to the next.
"It's a photonic interaction that's mediated by the atomic interaction,"
Lukin said. "That makes these two photons behave like a molecule, and when they
exit the medium they're much more likely to do so together than as single
photons."
While the effect is unusual, it does have some practical applications as
well.
"We do this for fun, and because we're pushing the frontiers of science,"
Lukin said. "But it feeds into the bigger picture of what we're doing because
photons remain the best possible means to carry quantum information. The
handicap, though, has been that photons don't interact with each other."
To build a quantum computer, he explained, researchers need to build a system
that can preserve quantum information, and process it using quantum logic
operations. The challenge, however, is that quantum logic requires interactions
between individual quanta so that quantum systems can be switched to perform
information processing.
"What we demonstrate with this process allows us to do that," Lukin said.
"Before we make a useful, practical quantum switch or photonic logic gate we
have to improve the performance, so it's still at the proof-of-concept level,
but this is an important step. The physical principles we've established here
are important."
The system could even be useful in classical computing, Lukin said,
considering the power-dissipation challenges chip-makers now face. A number of
companies including IBM have worked to develop systems that rely on optical
routers that convert light signals into electrical signals, but those systems
face their own hurdles.
Lukin also suggested that the system might one day even be used to create
complex three-dimensional structures such as crystals wholly out of light.
"What it will be useful for we don't know yet, but it's a new state of
matter, so we are hopeful that new applications may emerge as we continue to

"PLACODERMES". Entelognathus primordialis est un petit fossile dune vingtaine de centimètres découvert en Chine dans un parfait état de conservation malgré ses 419 millions dannées. Il appartient à un groupe de poissons aujourdhui éteint, les placodermes. Ces poissons possédaient un squelette externe composé de plaques osseuses constituant une sorte de blindage, ils font aussi partie des premiers animaux à être dotés dune mâchoire.
Remise en cause de la séquence évolutionnaire
« Jusqu'à la découverte d'Entelognathus, on considérait que le squelette des placodermes n'avait rien à voir avec celui des poissons osseux, et que les deux étaient apparus séparément » explique Gilles Cuny, de luniversité de Copenhague au Danemark et auteur dun livre sur lévolution des requins (1). Les scientifiques estimaient plutôt que les ancêtres des vertébrés dotés dun squelette osseux (les Ostéichtyiens, dont lhomme dérive directement) étaient des poissons cartilagineux similaires aux raies et aux requins.
B. Choo
SQUELETTE. Mais avec ses petits os crâniens et ses maxillaires, le fossile dEntelognathusprimordialis suggère que les vertébrés étaient sans doute dotés dès le départ de leur squelette osseux. « Avec la découverte d'Entelognathus, tout change, car les os dermiques externes qu'ils possèdent sont homologues avec ceux des ostéichtyens, indiquant qu'ils ont la même origine » précise Gilles Cuny. Ce qui fait des placodermes les ancêtres direct des poissons osseux modernes.
Un "spécimen époustouflant"
Du même coup, le groupe incluant les requins et les raies perd sa position de grand ancêtre des vertébrés. « Les requins se retrouvent dans la position la plus dérivée dans ce nouvel arbre phylogénétique, cela indique que leur squelette cartilagineux est plus évolué que le squelette osseux des ostéichtyens. La perte du squelette osseux est en fait une condition évoluée, alors qu'elle était considérée comme primitive jusqu'à présent » souligne Gilles Cuny.
LUCY. « De temps à autre, vous êtes confronté à des spécimens époustouflants, comme l'australopithèque Lucy ou les premiers dinosaures à plumes découverts en Chine, qui déclenchent un flot d'informations nouvelles sur notre lointain passé et nous obligent souvent à repenser ce que nous croyions savoir de l'évolution des espèces », a expliqué à lAFP Brian Choo, de l'Institut de Paléontologie des Vertébrés de Pékin. « Un petit poisson nommé Entelognathus vient de rejoindre le club de ces fossiles exceptionnels », conclut-il.

C'est une énigme vieille de plus de 40 ans que vient de réussir à percer une équipe internationale de pas moins de 62 chercheurs. Dans une série d'articles publiés ce vendredi 27 septembre sur le site de la prestigieuse revue américaine Science, ces chercheurs expliquent enfin sous quelle forme se trouve l'eau à la surface de Mars.
La présence d'eau sur la planète rouge est connue depuis les années 1970. Les sondes spatiales Mariner 9, lancée en 1971 puis Viking quatre ans plus tard, avaient mis en évidence des structures géologiques ressemblant à des cours d'eau asséchés. En 2002, la sonde Mars Odyssey avait même repéré la présence d'eau au beau milieu du désert martien. Et en 2004, la sonde européenne Mars Express avait confirmé la présence de glace deau dans la calotte polaire sud, puis d'un permafrost autour du pôle nord sétendant sur des centaines de kilomètres carrés.
"Les mesures de Mars Odyssey avaient permis d'estimer que l'eau représentait entre 2 et 10%, en masse, de la composition du sol de Mars, chiffre Pierre-Yves Meslin, chercheur à l'Institut de recherche en astrophysique et planétologie (IRAP), et co-auteur de l'étude. Mais l'énigme était de savoir sous quelle forme se trouvait cette eau".
La quête de l'eau
En effet, on pouvait imaginer la trouver sous forme de glace, ou emprisonnée dans des minéraux hydratés tells que des argiles ou des structures cristallines telles que du gypse. En effet, sur Terre, ces minéraux renferme beaucoup d'eau (comme en témoigne la formule chimique du gypse : CaSO4-2H2O).
Et répondre à cette énigme est primordial car la manière dont est stockée l'eau nous renseigne sur le passé géologique de la planète. "Par exemple, si cette eau avait été stockée sous la forme d'argiles, cela voudrait dire qu'il y a eu beaucoup d'eau liquide sur Mars et ce, durant un laps de temps très long", explique Pierre-Yves Meslin.
"De l'eau incorporée dans une phase amorphe"
Mais d'après la publication des chercheurs, ce n'est nullement le cas. "L'eau que renferme le sol de mars résulte probablement de l'hydrolyse des fines particules du sol, explique Pierre-Yves Meslin. Elle réagit chimiquement avec le minéral et prend alors la forme de groupes hydroxyles (c'est à dire une association entre un atome d'hydrogène (H) et un d'oxygène (O)), peut-être associés à des oxydes de fer. La structure formée est amorphe, c'est à dire désordonnée" précise le chercheur.
En d'autres mots, l'eau (H20) une fois fixée à la surface des grains prends une autre forme chimique. Toutefois, en les chauffant à très haute température (835°C), il est possible de libérer de nouveau cette eau sous forme de vapeur.
"On peut extraire 2 litres d'eau à partir de 100 kilos de sable fin" estime Pierre-Yves Meslin. Ce qui constitue une bonne nouvelle pour les colons d'une hypothétique conquête de Mars dans le futur.
Peu d'échanges diurnes avec l'atmosphère
Grâce à ces données, les chercheurs apportent également de nouveaux éléments sur le cycle de l'eau martien. En effet, une partie de la fine couche d'atmosphère qui entoure mars se compose de vapeur d'eau. Sur Terre, les échanges entre l'eau atmosphérique et celle contenue dans les sols sont très importants. Il est en effet fréquent que de la vapeur d'eau atmosphérique se condense sur les surfaces froides.
Ce même phénomène se produit-il sur Mars ? "Il y a des dépôts de givre ailleurs sur Mars, mais pas dans le cratère de Gale, répond Pierre-Yves Meslin. Nous avons tenté l'expérience de tirer à plusieurs reprises sur un même sol durant la nuit et pendant la journée, afin de voir si ce dernier contenait plus d'eau pendant la nuit. Et nous n'avons pas constaté de différence".
Mars s'assèche
Enfin, ultime enseignement : l'analyse des isotopes de l'hydrogène montre que l'eau contenue dans ce sable fin est similaire à la vapeur d'eau atmosphérique, et que celle-ci s'échappe progressivement dans l'espace. Ce qui signifie que la planète rouge s'assèche peu à peu.
Arrivé dans le cratère Gale sur l'équateur martien le 6 août 2012, Curiosity, le robot explorateur à six roues le plus sophistiqué jamais envoyé sur une autre planète, a déjà établi que la planète Rouge avait été propice à la vie microbienne dans son lointain passé, ce qui était le principal objectif de sa mission de deux ans.
Une étude publiée la semaine dernière avait toutefois douché les espoirs de trouver des traces de vie actuelle sur Mars, en indiquant que Curiosity n' y avait trouvé aucune trace de méthane dans l'atmosphère.
Ces dernières semaines, le robot a repris sa route vers le mont Sharp, distant de huit kilomètres et principale cible d'exploration de la mission. Son périple durera plusieurs mois, d'autant que Curiosity s'arrêtera en chemin pour analyser des formations géologiques jugées intéressantes.
Le pied du mont Sharp suscite un grand intérêt en raison de différentes couches sédimentaires qui pourraient permettre de dater les périodes durant lesquelles Mars était propice à la vie.
September, 22 - 2013. Sunday, 8:30 pm. At Ichmul, Chikindzonot city, south of Yucatan peninsula - Merida's state, in a poor community where live some remnants of mayas, the fall of a fireball that came from the sky, scared and still is scaring the dwellers of the place.
The locals were waiting to see a show of small circus in the center of the community, when they suddenly, all saw an object in flames falling at high speed.
The vision was much bright. The persons stood fascinated the glow when it began to decrease, about to touch the soil.
When it happened, was like a pyrotechnics blast. At this moment an electric blackout occurred and, in the zone of the fall, was observed a twinkling blue luminosity.
The municipal commissioner, Floro Koyoc Pech said that, ...during the fall of the object, a loud roar was heard by entire population and, immediately, all could observe, in the bush, a beam of light that remained shining until about 2:00 am.
People stood frightened because they feared that the fire could reach to town, and later, they began to despair because the light that was fading and, suddenly, began to grow again.
One of the young of the community told that the dogs barked all the time. The strong shine of the object could be observed at the neighboring towns, like Saban, Quintana Roo, San Francisco, Peto Chikindzonot.
On the first hours of Monday [September 23, 2013], some people went into the forest to try to find the object that caused the blackout, and great was their surprise when they found strange fragments, of diferent sizes, almost buried in the ground.
In its fall, the strange object crashed with two power lines, damaging them. Despite to be a sturdy material, even thus, parts of the cables were melted and broken into several pieces.
Even with some fear, the some persons resolved to rescue fragments of the object and carried them to the municipal police station There, the material will stay waiting some authority that could examine it and determine their origin.
Curious, policemen tried fit the pieces, trying to give some sense to these objects but, what they obtained with their efforts, is very strange. The fragments form a humanoid figure, what have caused wonder and comotion among locals and foreigners.
SPACE JUNK
The researcher of the Instituto Tecnológico de Mérida, Eddie Salazar Gamboa said the object are meteorite fragments or debris (human trash) attracted by the gravity of Earth and warned that direct contact with them may be dangerous to humans.
In an interview, Salazar Gamboa commented that this type of meteorites, usually, fall at the poles or in oceans and in some cases, on land.
The researcher explained that, usually, these pieces of cosmic rock have a hole in the center, which is result of the incandescence generated by friction, when the bolide enters in earth atmosphere. These fragments, he said, help to fertilize the soil where they are deposited.
Salazar Gamboa emphasized those facts should not cause alarm among the population, as it is proven that daily fall, in average, amid ten or more tons of these fragments on our planet.
However, urged people don't must have contact with these objects because they may contain radioactive material and, eventually, can cause certain types of cancer.

Microbes living in Antarctica's saltiest lake swap huge chunks of genetic material as a means of surviving their harsh environment, a new study finds.
The single-celled organisms, called haloarchaea for their salt-loving ways, are biologically distinct from bacteria, algae and other tiny creatures that can thrive in extreme settings.
Their Antarctic home is a deep lake in the Vestfold Hills severed from the ocean more than 3,000 years ago. Appropriately named Deep Lake, the basin sits 50 meters (165 feet) below sea level. Deep Lake is so salty that it's never been known to freeze, even at temperatures below minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 20 degrees Celsius).

One unusual survival technique has now been found: The handful of haloarchaea species in Deep Lake exchange DNA, according to a study published Monday in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
Though each species is specialized and has its own niche, such as eating proteins or sugars, they come together and trade chunks of DNA, some as long as 35,000 letters of code, a team led by Rick Cavicchioli, a microbiologist at the University of New South Wales in Australia, discovered.
"Our research shows these (haloarchaea) swap much more genetic material with each other than has been observed in the natural environment before. Long stretches of virtually identical DNA are exchanged between different genera, not just species," Cavicchioli said in a statement. "Despite this rampant gene swapping, the different species are maintained and can co-exist because they have evolved to exploit different niches and consume different food sources." (Genus is the classification above species.)
Another consequence of life in the cold zone is slowed reproduction. The lake haloarchaea reproduce only six times a year, the researchers found.
Cold-loving extremophiles also live in permafrost, or permanently frozen ground, and in lakes buried beneath Antarctica's ice sheet. Microbes also happily make their home within the ice sheet itself.

Reports about a fuzzy-looking unidentified flying object streamed in from observers in southern Africa and the Indian Ocean islands of Mauritius and Reunion. The sightings came about an hour after the Falcon 9 v1.1 rocket's launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base at 9 a.m. PT (noon ET) Sunday.
A retired astronomer from Cape Town, Greg Roberts, gave the correct explanation in an interview with The New Age, a South African publication: "It was propellant or rocket fuel" released by the Falcon 9 rocket's second stage.
After sending several satellites into a pole-to-pole orbit, the Falcon's second stage released its leftover fuel, which is standard procedure to avoid a blowup during its atmospheric re-entry.
"This release by chance coincided with sunset beneath that part of the orbit, as the booster and its deployed satellites flew from south to north directly over Madagascar, about 850 miles high," NBC News space analyst James Oberg explained in an email. Sunlight set the cloud of rocket fuel aglow.
In a Tumblr post, rocket scientist Ben Brockert speculated that the fuel release might be related to a reported anomaly in the attempted restart of the second-stage rocket engine. Reddit has more chatter about the rocket report.
This sort of phenomenon has been seen many times before and the bottom line is that you can expect an uptick in UFO reports anytime there's a rocket launch, particularly when the rocket is blazing a new trail, like this brand-new breed of Falcon.

In all my years of doing UFO research
and particularly the 1947 Roswell Incident, Ive realized the importance of
verifying and/or confirming the vast amount of information that is available
pertaining to that Incident. Anything else presented is worthless, such as the
crash test dummies, not used until 1953, the Mogul balloon theory, the alien
autopsy film, and the numerous crash sites referenced, to mention a few.

The late Major Jesse Marcel and his
recently passed away son Jesse Jr. both handled the debris from the crash in
Roswell, when the Major stopped by the house to show it to Jesse Jr. and his
Mother before flying some of the debris to General Rameys office in Fort Worth
Texas. Over the years both men freely talked about the material they had seen
and handled with descriptions of what it looked like.
To my surprise, 66
years later I was given information that for me confirms, or at least adds
credibility to what the Marcels talked about.
I met a young lady
recently who told me her Dad had an uncle that handled and examined material he
believed was from the 1947 Roswell crash, when he was asked to go to
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio to examine the metal samples. The
daughter put me in contact with her Dad and the following paragraphs are what he
shared with me, about what he recalled his uncle talking about.

I heard this story on July 23, 1954 at
my birthday party in Akron Ohio. I was eight years old. My uncle was married to
my fathers sister. He was always called Babe. I dont remember his first
name. He worked for Goodyear Aerospace / Goodyear Aircraft in Akron Ohio. I
think it was one in the same. He was an engineer and metallurgist that worked in
aircraft and dirigible construction. During World War II he worked on the
bombers that were produced in Akron. At my birthday party he was telling my
father and I about working with metal samples that came from a flying disk
that crashed in Roswell, NM in the late 40s. He had to go to Wright-Patterson in
Dayton, Ohio to examine the samples. He said there were two different types of
metal. One was very difficult to cut, melt or machine. The other was like
aluminum foil that you could crumple up into a ball. If you then put the ball of
metal on a flat surface it would slowly work its self out to its original shape
with a mirror finish. If you crumpled it up again it would repeat the process.
He said this was the most interesting piece. This sounds a lot like the solar
panels used in our space program today. However, he believed that the other
metal could be used in aircraft and missiles. Goodyear went on to develop and
produce re-entry nosecones for the Atlas Intercontinental ballistic missile. I
often thought this metal was used in these missiles.
He also said that he
heard there were bodies recovered at the crash site. He said they were
supposedly transported to Wright-Patterson. This was all rumors and he said he
never saw bodies or confirmed their existence. He said the whole project was
super secret and very compartmentalized. He had to have a top security clearance
to even get near the samples. He said he made several trips to Wright Patterson
over a number of months. I remember this discussion like it was yesterday
because it caused a huge argument between him and my father. My father was
shouting at him that he was filling my head with a bunch of lies about little
green men and martians. I dont believe they ever spoke again after that party.
This caused a serious rift in the family and was a constant problem.
I
knew my uncle very well and had always found him to be very honest and never a
braggart. In later years I asked him several times about the story and he would
just say that he never should have said anything to anybody about it. He finally
asked me to never mention it to him again. He died about a dozen years later and
took the details to his grave. I forgot about it until I moved to New Mexico in
the late 70s. I was in a bookstore and ran into a book on the Roswell Incident.
I have read many books about it since. I believe, like you do, that something
huge happened in Roswell and that my Uncle Babe played a small part in the story
in Dayton, Ohio.
I hope you find this interesting. Thanks for

After reading the account of his uncle that he shared
with me, to say I found his story interesting would be an understatement on my
part.
Some that read this will say its an old and a second-hand
account, however, based on the information that has been accumulated from the
Marcels over the years, and the descriptions they gave about the metal they
actually handled, I believe this account helps confirm and validate what the
Marcels stated. I personally have no reason to believe that the daughters
father made up this account of what he heard his uncle tell his father and him
at his birthday party. Jesse Marcel Jr. after all was only eleven years old when
his Dad stopped at the house to show him and his mother the material he had
gathered at the debris field on the Foster ranch earlier that day.
As to
the descriptions of the material the uncle talked about, those descriptions
match very closely with what Major Marcel told his son about not being able to
cut or burn the debris, and particularly the odd attribute of crumpling it up
and in a short period of time it returned to its original shape.

Number Of Alien Planets Confirmed Beyond Our Solar System Nears 1,000, Data Shows

Just two decades after discovering the first world beyond our solar system, astronomers are closing in on alien planet No. 1,000.
Four of the five main databases that catalog the discoveries of exoplanets now list more than 900 confirmed alien worlds, and two of them peg the tally at 986 as of Sept. 26. So the 1,000th exoplanet may be announced in a matter of days or weeks, depending on which list you prefer.
That's a lot of progress since 1992, when researchers detected two planets orbiting a rotating neutron star, or pulsar, about 1,000 light-years from Earth. Confirmation of the first alien world circling a "normal" star like our sun did not come until 1995. [The Strangest Alien Planets (Gallery)]
And the discoveries will keep pouring in, as astronomers continue to hone their techniques and sift through the data returned by instruments on the ground and in space.
The biggest numbers in the near future should come from NASA's Kepler space telescope, which racked up many finds before being hobbled in May of this year when the second of its four orientation-maintaining reaction wheels failed.
Kepler has identified 3,588 planet candidates to date. Just 151 of these worlds have been confirmed so far, but mission scientists have said they expect at least 90 percent will end up being the real deal.
But even these numbers, as impressive as they are, represent just the tip of our Milky Way galaxy's immense planetary iceberg. Kepler studied a tiny patch of sky, after all, and it only spotted planets that happened to cross their stars' faces from the instrument's perspective.
Many more planets are thus out there, zipping undetected around their parent stars. Indeed, a team of researchers estimated last year that every Milky Way star hosts, on average, 1.6 worlds meaning that our galaxy perhaps harbors 160 billion planets.
And those are just the worlds with obvious parent stars. In 2011, a different research team calculated that "rogue planets" (which cruise through space unbound to a star) may outnumber "normal" exoplanets by 50 percent or so.

Nailing down the numbers is of obvious interest, but what astronomers really want is a better understanding of the nature and diversity of alien worlds.
And it's becoming more and more apparent that this diversity is stunning. Scientists have found exoplanets as light and airy as Styrofoam, for example, and others as dense as iron. They've also discovered a number of worlds that appear to orbit in their stars' habitable zone that just-right range of distances that could support the existence of liquid water and thus, perhaps, life as we know it.
But the search continues for possibly the biggest exoplanet prize: the first true alien Earth. Kepler was designed to determine how frequently Earth-like exoplanets occur throughout the Milky Way, and mission scientists have expressed confidence that they can still achieve that primary goal. So some Earth analogs likely lurk in Kepler's data, just waiting to be pulled out.
The five chief exoplanet-discovery databases, and their current tallies, are: the Extrasolar Planets Encyclopedia (986); the Exoplanets Catalog, run by the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo's Planetary Habitability Laboratory (986); the NASA Exoplanet Archive (905); the Exoplanet Orbit Database (732); and the Open Exoplanet Catalog (948).
The Planetary Habitability Lab keeps track of all five databases, whose different numbers highlight the uncertainties involved in exoplanet detection and confirmation.

Le dimanche 29 septembre 2013 au soir, des habitants de la Réunion ont donné l'alerte en voyant une sorte de halo blanc se déplaçant autour d'une étoile avancer dans le ciel. Un spectacle très surprenant qui a été pris en photo localement. Dans la même soirée, des habitants de l'ile Maurice ont fait le même constat et une vidéo a même été prise.

Il s'agit indéniablement du même objet. En analysant et en zoomant sur cette photo, qui est très probablement non retouchée étant donné la rapidité de sa disponibilité, on peut deviner derrière cet objet lumineux qui semble émettre un rayon la silhouette plus sombre, et assez caractéristique d'une soucoupe en forme de cloche.
J'ai mis les versions orginales vous permettant de zoomer et de voir par vous-même, et j'ai entouré rapidement en rouge la silhouette que l'imagerie a enregistré. Je peux me tromper bien sûr, mais je pense que ce cas est très intéressant. Je n'ai pas trouvé d'avion expérimental (comme celui fonctionnant au "soleil" par exemple, ou comme celui-ci, qui rejette de la vapeur d'eau) en prévision de vol en ce moment, surtout dans cette région. Ne manquez pas de donner votre avis (réfléchi) sur cet objet étrange...
