About 60 years ago, at the height of the Cold War, the US designed a network of top-secret mobile nuclear launch sites buried in the Greenland ice sheet to prepare for possible war with the Soviet Union. At Camp Century, which was part of Project Iceworm, soldiers lived in the ice, which enclosed the base so it wouldn’t be completely buried in snow.

Camp Century was shut down in 1967, and the site was abandoned as Project Iceworm wound down. Back then, military planners assumed the hazardous stuff buried at Camp Century—including diesel fuel, PCBs, and some radioactive coolant—would stay locked up in the Greenland ice sheet, essentially forever. But now Greenland is warming because of climate change. Dangerous contaminants threaten to re-emerge from the ice, potentially putting people in Greenland and maybe as far away as Arctic Canada (400 km offshore) at risk.

Camp Century isn’t the only US military installation abroad that’s increasingly threatened by climate change. A Pentagon report from earlier this year, for example, noted that half of all US bases worldwide could be at risk. But Project Iceworm is a useful case study, argues Jeff Colgan, associate professor of political science and international studies at Brown University, who’s studied this in detail. That’s partly because the question of who should take responsibility for Camp Century has become such a political hot potato. According to him, at this point it isn’t clear exactly who is responsible for cleaning it up.

Over the phone, Colgan described the secondary effects of climate change—like the release of dangerous substances, or infrastructure damage—as its “knock-on effects.” (He pointed to the release of hazardous materials in Texas after Hurricane Harvey as another example.) “It creates a whole new type of politics, and it’s becoming more important in a variety of ways.”

Colgan is author of a new paper in Global Environmental Politics that views the impact of climate change on military bases as not just an environmental problem, but as a political and diplomatic one.

Project Iceworm goes to show just how politically complicated these situations can be. Camp Century was the result of a legal treaty between Denmark and the US, since Greenland was a Danish colony at that time.

Motherboard contacted the US State Department to inquire about Camp Century, and was referred to the US Department of Defense. A Defense Department spokesperson then referred our query to the government of Denmark.

The Danish foreign ministry, which handles relations with the US and Greenland, referred Motherboard to the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), an independent research institution under the Danish Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate. In a follow-up phone call, a ministry spokesperson said decisions around the cleanup would be made once the science is settled.

“It’s not a high priority. In fact it’s a barely known [issue] in Washington,” Colgan told me. “The only people who are really agitated [are in] Greenland, and they don’t have a lot of leverage.”

Scientists aren’t ignoring the problem. In 2016, a high-profile paper in Geophysical Research Letters predicted that Camp Century’s site could see primarily melting conditions by the year 2090, and described in detail all the hazardous stuff buried there. “It caused quite a reaction from scientists and the political system,” Flemming Christiansen, deputy director general of GEUS, told Motherboard in a phone interview, and it spurred them to study the site further.

GEUS has been monitoring the Greenland ice sheet for years, and is now tracking the Camp Century site specifically. In the summer of 2017, Christiansen said, a weather station was installed there, and scientists used radar last year to map what is locked up under the ice. (The map should be available later this year.) Climate data from Camp Century is publicly available online, although it will take some time to begin to notice longer-term trends.

Politicians, meanwhile, have yet to sort out exactly what to do about the threat posed by climate change to military installations abroad, each one governed by what Colgan calls “ad hoc” arrangements. Colgan noted that the US Pentagon, at least, does seem to appreciate the dangers of climate change. Of the hundreds of US bases overseas, “it’s unclear how many of them are at the frontlines of climate change, like Greenland,” he said, adding that other sites, like low-lying Pacific islands, are also certain to be impacted.

Meanwhile, Camp Century is melting out. “If there is something coming to the surface, you would like to know when this will happen,” Christiansen told me. Scientists are working on that part. Now it’s up to governments to come up with a plan.

This is the mysterious moment two US air force jets are seen "dogfighting" with an unknown craft in an area where there are believed to be UFOs.

The fighter planes are seen zipping through the sky in an apparent routine training mission over the top secret military base Area 51 in a desert area in Lincoln County, Nevada.

UFO seekers Tim Doyle and Tracey Su camped out some 12 miles away to snap pictures and videos of activity over its skies and didn't see anything unusual when the military aircraft soared above.

But when they later combed through their photos they spotted the third craft which they described as a "triangular" object which appeared to be battling the US fighter jets.

Their sighting piles more weight on the countless conspiracy theories that the top secret base is a hub of interactions between earthly beings and aliens.

Tim and Tracey camped out just outside Area 51 and filmed and snapped the comings and goings and activity in the sky there.

"Welcome to area 51," said Tim in one of his videos. "We're in front of the most mysterious and secretive military installation in the entire world.

"We're just here to look for lights in the sky," said Tim, "and if they're here we're going to find them."

A narrator on the video, by YouTubeChannel thirdphaseofmoon , says: "These guys are taking a lot of risk bringing this information to you and we're sharing the evidence."

The pair filmed hours of footage over several days including the US fighter jets zipping through the sky, but didn't see it as unusual.

"When we got home and started reviewing the pictures we noticed a third object" in the sky, said Tim.

"What in the world is this? It's looks like some kind of triangular unmanned drone, because it's definitely too small to have a person inside of it.

"And after looking at the pictures it definitely looks like the crafts are interacting with each other. It's like a three-plane dogfight."

Tim and Tracey's remarkable footage on YouTube has already been seized upon by conspiracy theorists that it is proof there is UFO activity in Area 51.

Chuku Marrero posted: "I know they are real they are with us ... Nevada is the centre."

Lori Roberson1 wrote: "Ufo's been round for so many years."

The US government has never revealed the purpose of the site in a remote area in the desert in Nevada.

The CIA only admitted for the first time in 2005 that the military base, which is north-west of Las Vegas, even existed.

A bright, white UFO has been spotted over a remote part of northern Norway.

The aircraft was seen by stunned onlookers in Bardufoss on Thursday afternoon. A short while later, it was seen again in 80 miles away in Tromsø. 

It lingered until after sunset then exploded neatly into two parts before disappearing into dust, according to witnesses. 

Perplexed locals shared photographs and videos of the structure as it hovered above them near the town of Tromsø on Thursday night. 

Tarquin Millington-Drake of Frontier Travels told DailyMail.com how he witnessed the spectacle. 

'We thought it was a chopper coming towards us - a very bright light which came over the mountain and headed toward us - then it turned and went past us.

'Then it seemed to explode but the explosion was very uniform and symmetrical like two butterfly explosions either side of the light. 

'It then seemed to turn and go away but no longer as one bright light - just bright dust that faded,' he said. 

Mr. Millington-Drake watched it from the Wolf Lodge, a remote hideaway in Bardufoss where guests have up-close experiences with wolves. 

He and other guests were gathered around a fire outside waiting for the northern lights when the UFO appeared. 

Stunning photographs from the lodge show the group watching, stunned, as the UFO hovered above them, far outshining the stars. 

'We assumed it was some special event laid on but the luxury Wolf Lodge but when our hosts starting taking photos it became clear that was not the case. 

'It veered away from coming directly from us and just went across the valley. 

'By now we were all watching intently and then suddenly it seemed to explode with those butterfly shaped wings.

The sightings were in northeast Norway on Thursday 

'It slowed dramatically, now the bright light was more subdued and the light from the explosion joined to form an amoeba-like circle of light which then seemed to turn away from us and then slowly faded totally. 

'It seems nobody in Bardufoss knows what it was. 

'There is a big military base there but still no definitive theories from anyone.' 

So far the only explanation for the sighting is that it could have been Paz, a radar imaging satellite which was launched on Thursday from Elon Musk's Falcon 9.

Musk's Tesla launched it on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Defence. The  }will orbit earth 15 times a day for five-and-a-half years taking photographs. 

It was launched in California on Thursday along with two Musk's StarLink, two prototype satellites whose later versions will beam broadband internet anywhere in the world. 

SpaceX, Musk's company which launched them, did not respond to DailyMail.com's requests for comment about the Norway sighting on Friday.

The subject of UFOs has undergone a bit of a renaissance in recent weeks, following a landmark New York Times report that detailed the Pentagon’s ongoing interest in the phenomenon. However, these recent revelations are not the only government information that has been released on the subject in the last few years, nor are they by any means the most perplexing.

And to wit, neither is the United States the only country to have revealed documents that detail its interest in UFOs. Among the most unusual UFO disclosures that have occurred since the new millennium were the release of a series of Russian Navy files in 2009, detailing a number of bizarre underwater encounters with the strange objects.

“At last!” exclaimed Phil Ewing, writing at Navy Times‘ Scoop Deck blog. “Some post-Soviet documents the world can really sink its teeth into! Enough of this people-who-the-KGB-tried-to-assassinate nonsense: The Russian Navy has declassified its records of encounters with UFOs.” According to one naval intelligence officer quoted after the release, “[The objects] are most often seen in the deepest part of the Atlantic Ocean, in the southern part of the Bermuda Triangle, and also in the Caribbean Sea,” prompting former Russian navy officer Vladimir Azhazha to claim the documents “are of great value.”

So looking back, just what did the documents have to say on the subject, and how does it contrast with more recent dialogue on the subject of UFOs, following the release of information about a (possibly ongoing) Pentagon UFO program?

“On several occasions the instruments gave reading of material objects moving at incredible speed,” one sub commander was quoted by Wired. “Calculations showed speeds of about 230 knots, or 400 kph. Speeding so fast is a challenge even on the surface. But water resistance is much higher. It was like the objects defied the laws of physics. There’s only one explanation: the creatures who built them far surpass us in development.”

Russian language users on the popular Above Top Secret forum also managed to post translations of some of the relevant portions of the document, which included reports of strange lights that appeared to emanate from deep below the lake, which some observers had likened to light produced by electric welding:

(There is) very impressive data on the observation of a UFO in Baikal lake. (Within) the depths of the lake sailors repeatedly observed luminescence resembling searchlights and flashes similar to electric welding, as well as in the lake radius in the form of unexplained bright luminous silver discs and cylinders.

However, the most tantalizing incident that the report detailed, and one that was widely reported coinciding with the release of the Russian documents, involved an alleged incident that occurred in 1982, during which several divers were killed during a training exercise under mysterious circumstances:

In summer 1982 military divers, during their training, dived in the water of Lake Baikal several times and almost came face-to-face with underwater swimmers in their body-fitting silver jumpsuits. They looked similar to normal people, only about three meters tall. In addition, at a depth of 50 meters, (the beings) had neither an aqualung, or any other devices, but their heads were concealed in spherical helmets. Attempting to catch (the) unidentified divers ended tragically. From seven people trying to do this using a net, four became disabled and three died.

These incidents, and in particular the 1982 account involving divers that were injured or killed, are very unusual, to say the least. In truth, they have perplexed many of us for years; are they an early instance of Russian “fake news” and propaganda, which media in different countries–America in particular–bought hook, line, and sinker? Or, to the contrary, had the odd nature of the Russian releases been due to the fact that the tone of the information differed from the way U.S. government agencies might have dealt with similar disclosures (which have traditionally maintained secrecy toward the UFO subject)?

On an interesting side note, Lake Baikal has long been associated with strange phenomena and, yes, even UFOs. In 1946, Russian science fiction writer Alexander Kazantsev wrote a fiction short story titled “A Visitor From Outer Space” which offered an imaginative explanation for the 1908 Tunguska Blast: it was caused by the explosion of a Martian spacecraft’s nuclear engine, as it attempted to gather water from the lake.

The U.S. Navy has also disclosed information pertaining to incidents that seem to have involved UFOs. One widely reported case involved the USS Princeton, which according to a 2004 report had been tracking mysterious objects for several weeks. Popular Mechanics reported of the incident that “two F/A-18F (twin seater) Super Hornets from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz were flying 100 miles off the coast of San Diego when a nearby U.S. Navy guided missile cruiser, the USS Princeton, contacted them and asked what weapons they were carrying.”

At the time, the Super Hornets were carrying unfirable AIM-9 Sidewinder “dummies,” to which the USS Princeton responded by saying, “Well, we’ve got a real-world vector for you,” which led to an interception attempt with a pair of objects, one of which had been located directly below an area of churning water, the other hovering approximately 50 feet above the surface. Neither of the unusual objects, detailed in the Popular Mechanics article, were able to be intercepted or identified. The fighters from the Nimitz were able to document parts of this interception on film, parts of which were publicly disclosed last year coinciding with the December 2017 New York Times article.

For many who ignored UFO reports such as these, and dismissed them as being far-fetched, the December 2017 New York Times article on Luis Elizondo and the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. program (along with accompanying video purporting to show the objects) was indeed revelatory. However, as such naval records obtained from both U.S. and Russian sources listed above have shown, the Times article was only the most recent installment in a long, confusing narrative involving unusual phenomenon in our skies–and our seas–for which no conclusive explanation has yet been offered.

Last November, an unusual incident over Oregon made headlines after a mystery aircraft–resembling a jet by some descriptions–was tracked by various aviation authorities. The incident produced no results in terms of who had been piloting the aircraft, and for what reason, although attempts to communicate with and track the aircraft ultimately proved unsuccessful, as it had reportedly been “invisible” on radar at the time.

However, new details about the case have now emerged, following a new Freedom of Information Act request which provides further details on the unusual incident.

Tyler Rogoway, a writer for The Drive‘s “The Warzone,” first heard about the story from associates of his in aviation, as well as via a Reddit thread that appeared seemingly in relation to the incident. This information was later confirmed through dialogue with the FAA, NORAD, and USAF officials.

Along with a summary Rogoway penned for The Warzone, a series of Freedom of Information Act appeals were made in relation to the incident. Now, several months after the incident took place, FOIA data released to The Drive helps to further corroborate the incident, and according to Rogoway, represents what “could be one of the most insightful instances of official documentation surrounding such an encounter that had already been confirmed to have occurred by both the FAA and the USAF.”

Included with the release were a number of audio recordings of telephone conversations between officials, discussing the incident and the actions that were taken by official agencies in response to it.

According to the newly released data, the object was described as being a large aircraft by the pilots who saw it, who most commonly referred to it as a jet. Its coloration appeared to be white, or at least light-colored, and the aircraft was flying at an altitude of approximately 37,000 feet. It was also reported that the object was “moving at a clip” (fast, in other words) and that it was neither responding to attempts at radio communication nor was it being detected on radar or by traffic collision avoidance systems on the nearby aircraft.

What can we determine from this, and do any observations come to mind immediately? One thing that seems clear is that the object was probably not an experimental drone, as some suggested previously since it is unlikely that any unmanned remote-controlled aircraft would have to be as large as the aircraft seen over Oregon. Also, while it may be tempting to treat the object as an “unknown,” most descriptions did indicate that the object most closely resembled a jet (although distance had been a prime factor in making further details about its appearance less easily determinable).

Altogether, Rogoway has done a fine job reporting on the incident and gathering additional information about it. Also, he acknowledged what the circumstances here seem to entail, in light of the New York Times report on the Pentagon’s “secret” UFO program, noting that, “after recent reports unmasking how the Pentagon remains highly interested in encounters just like this one, it holds even more weight than it did three months ago.”

As to the origins of the aircraft that was observed over the northwest last fall, there is still a lot that remains unclear. Despite reports that likened the object’s appearance to that of a large jet, we can’t be certain as to what kind of plane the incident involved. Equally perplexing is the question of what it was doing flying at this altitude, and in broad daylight, while remaining unresponsive to queries from the FAA and other agencies (and let us not forget that concern over the aircraft’s presence prompted the scrambling of a group of F-15s, with the mission of intercepting the object).

As with the more esoteric incidents involving unexplained aerial phenomenon, this one leaves a lot to the imagination and even more questions than answers with the release of the new FOIA data. Pending further data in the future, this UFO “cold case” will for now remain one of the many mysteries of the skies that occasionally still transpire in modern times.

A loud bang and fast-moving flashing lights in the Dewsbury night sky had imaginative residents fearing a UFO attack this week.

It transpired that the commotion was likely to do with a heavy-duty military aircraft on a fly-over.

If we take a look at human origins, we will find that our earliest known ancestor, Homo erectus took a huge leap forward by starting to walk upright, more than one million years ago.

However, while he could walk like we can today, researchers have not been able to find evidence that he could talk. As noted by experts, language was not something that Homo erectus was capable of.

All of this is based on anatomy, as scientists believe Homo erectus did not have a bone called the Hyoid, which is a bone that helps anchor the tongue. Homo Sapiens did have it.

Therefore, experts suggest that Hom erectus wasn’t really capable of speech, he was only capable of howling.

This means that language is believed to have arrived together with Homo Sapiens.

However, a new controversial study forces us to rethink human origins, saying that Homo erectus must have had the ability to speak.

Researchers now claim that without language, Homo erectus would have never been capable of building the boats needed to travel across Earth’s vast oceans.

Furthermore, experts note that if Homo erectus had not developed speech, he would not have been able to sail across the globe in large numbers populating the planet.

Everybody talks about Homo erectus as a stupid ape-like creature, which of course describes us just as well, and yet what I want to emphasize is that erectus was the smartest creature that had ever walked the Earth,” says Daniel Everett, Professor of Global Studies, at Bentley University, Massachusetts.

Speaking at the American Association for the Advancement of Science, professor Everett explained: “Oceans were never a barrier to the travels of erectus.”

Homo erectus was able to travel all over the world. He traveled to the Island of Flores, across one of the greatest ocean currents on Earth.

“They sailed to the island of Crete and various other islands. It was intentional they needed craft and they needed to take groups of twenty or so at least to get to those places. And this is the consensus of the archaeological evidence. Erectus needed language when they were sailing to the island of Flores. They couldn’t have simply caught a ride on a floating log because then they would have been washed out to see when they hit the current,” explained Professor Everett.

“They needed to be able to paddle. And if they paddled they needed to be able to say ‘paddle there’ or ‘don’t paddle. You need communication with symbols not just grunts. They accomplished too much for this to simply be the sort of communication that we see in other species without symbols,” he added.

A MYSTERIOUS low-level humming noise which has plagued a Canadian city for years has left residents unable to cope with the persistent sound with poor health.

Complaints of the part noise, part vibration arose in 2011, when locals initially compared it to rattling windows.

But as the hum began to vary in its intensity, droning on for days at unbearable levels, distressed locals have taken to all forms of social media to question their hearing and vent their frustrations.

On Twitter, Kieran Owen wrote: "Heard the Windsor Hum for the first time. Like a distant yet gigantic lawn mower."

Jim Dunstan, who may be new to the local area questioned on Facebook: "Is there something going on? Can hear a loud humming and mechanical noises consistently in the past half hour or so."

Others have likened the sound to a fleet of diesel engines positioned right next to your home or the vibrations blasting from a concert sub woofer.

A Twitter group established to examine the Windsor Hum claimed the noise was at its worst in 2016.

The Windser Hum wrote: "The Hum is worse than its been in years!" A day later, another post said: "An entire community is being shaken by the Hum..24 hours and no rest!"

Locals have been affected to such an extent, they launched a private Facebook group to vent their frustrations, but also trying to find their own solutions.

Mike Provost who helps run the page has collected more than 4,000 pages of daily observations of the sound, during different weather conditions, in a bid to find a cause, the New York Times reported.

Sabrina Wiese beckoned others to consider having to leave their home town - full of everything and everyone they know and love - just to escape the sound.

Researchers from the Canadian government, the University of Windsor and the University of Western Ontario launched a series of studies to investigate its cause, but are still yet to provide concrete explanations.

A report from The University of Windsor suggested the hum originates from Zug Island on the Detroit River, because it is full of manufacturing operations.

Hell On Earth: A Massive Crater In The Middle Of The Desert Has Been Burning For Decades

Ladies and gents, meet the Gateway, or Doorway to hell.

There is a mysterious crater in the middle of the desert that simply put, can’t stop burning.

This massive crater located in Turkmenistan has not stopped burning since 1971, the year in which it was created by accident.

In the middle of the Karakum desert, in Turkmenistan, a singular flaming hole emerges from the earth: the well of Darvaza, popularly known as “Door to Hell.”

It is a huge crater that burns day and night without ceasing for nearly 50 years.

The strange circular depression, near the small village of Darvaza, is located on a huge desert that occupies practically 70% of the territory of the country and is very rich in oil and natural gas.

The origin of the crater goes back to a accident that took place in 1971, when a group of Soviet geologists, believing they had found a natural gas field, was conducting a survey in the area.

However, in the middle of their research, the earth split open and swallowed their machinery and the tents, before the astonished look of the researchers.

Turns out they had discovered an underground cave filled with natural gas.

Aware of this, and fearing that the dangerous gases escaped, the geologists decided to set it on fire thinking that it would eventually cease to burn in a few days. Little did they know how wrong they were.

Ever since it was set on fire, the Door To Hell burns without stopping and offers a show so impressive that it attracts tourists and adventurers to the remote area. Since 2009, 50,000 touristshave visited the site. The gas crater has a total area of 5,350 m². The surrounding area is also popular for wild desert camping.

And although there have been several attempts to put out the crater flames, 69 meters in diameter and 30 meters deep, the flames continue to urn just as they started burning 47 years ago.

Inside the Door To Hell, the temperatures reach 1000 degreesCelsius.

Curiously, Canadian explorer George Kourounis—a man with real cojones—became the first person to descend into the crater, in 2013.

The well is a tourist attraction.

To achieve this extraordinary feat, Kourounis used a special system of pulleys, a heat-resistant suit, and breathing equipment.

Inside the well, he was able to take samples that allowed him to discover a methane-rich bacteria present in the burning environment.

Yellowstone Magma Chamber Under Immense Pressure After Deformation, Experts Warn

Seismologists who have been monitoring the Supervolcano at Yellowstone have said that new data has revealed that the magma chamber is under immense pressure and the caldera might erupt at any time.

Deformation Occurs When Pressure in Magma Chamber Changes

Experts have warned that the volcano is under strain after noticing deformation. This is said to be a process where the subsurface rock changes shape subtly and it is said to be happening under the surface of Yellowstone at the moment.

The researchers have said that the deformation happens when there has been a change in the pressure in the magma chamber and now the experts are keeping a careful watchful eye on any new development.

Seismologists from UNAVCO are now using GPS, along with borehole tiltmeters and borehole strainmeters so that they can measure the smallest of changes in any deformation at Yellowstone. Glen Mattioli and David Mencin, geodesists at UNAVCO said that the strain signal is bigger than what they expected if the crust that lies under Yellowstone was completely solid.

Semi-molten Rock May Be Just 3 Miles under the Surface

They believe that lava is flowing and this is allowing pressure to build up in the magma chamber and they have no idea whether this is a good or bad thing. The observations by the geodesists agree with other instruments used at Yellowstone, such as seismometers.

These give an indication that a zone of rock that is semi-molten lies around three miles under the surface. It is called semi-molten due to the fact that the whole zone has around 5% to 15% liquid rock occupying only a small pocket of space between the rocks that are solid.

Scientists want to give assurance to the public that the observations will not be a cause for alarm. However, they would say that and people should bear in mind that the last time that the volcano erupted was 700,000 years ago, so it is well overdue for another eruption. Now Yellowstone has been cast in the limelight due to the new data.

87,000 People Would Die If Yellowstone Supervolcano Erupted

If the volcano at Yellowstone were to erupt around 87,000 people would die immediately and around two-thirds of the United States would be left uninhabitable. It would lead to a huge amount of ash spewing into the atmosphere and it would block the sunlight out and affect life beneath it as there would be a nuclear winter. Perhaps the volcano at Yellowstone will not erupt for many more thousands of years or maybe it is giving a sign that eruption is close, we simply do not know.

If the name “Brian Leathley-Andrew,” doesn’t ring a bell, that’s not surprising. He lives in Bedworth, Warwickshire, England, and has tried to stay out of the public eye for 50 years. Why? Because in 1968, Brian Leathley-Andrew believed he was not just in the public eye … he was in the eye of sinister forces that wanted him to stop investigating and publicizing UFO sightings through his organization, the Unidentified Flying Object Information Bureau. In fact, they succeeded by terrifying him into retirement.

“Suddenly, I noticed a man standing by the next door garage. Nobody had been there before. His face was glowing orange. As I watched, the face changed to that of an old man before my eyes. Then he turned and walked away. You could not describe the first face in normal terms. It had eyes, nose and mouth in the proper places – but not of the shape that we associate with the human figure.”

That quote is from The Coventry Telegraph on December 3, 1968, under the headline, “Worried UFO Man Gives Up.” In an interview this week in Birminghammail.co.uk, Leathley-Andrew recounts the flurry of UFO activity in the Birmingham area in 1968 which prompted him to open the Unidentified Flying Object Information Bureau. According to the interview, The Coventry Telegraph carried these headlines, often with comments from Leathley-Andrew.

“UFO Became A Mum” (September 28, 1968): “A flying saucer which gave birth over Willenhall has been reported to the Unidentified Flying Object Information Centre of Mr. Brian Leathley-Andrew.

“Flying Saucers Not A Load of Tripe” (September 24, 1968): “Flying saucers were the greatest mystery of our time and should not be dismissed as a load of tripe, Mr Wilf Grunau told Nuneaton Rotary Club.

“Saucer Over City Say Women” (March 31, 1969): “Two Coventry women believe there may have been a flying saucer over the city during the weekend after they were woken by an ‘unearthly’ high-pitched whining accompanied by a glowing light.

Those were exciting times for the UFO watcher and local expert … until he realized his phone was tapped.

“Quite clearly, I had problems with phone tapping, bloody crude phone tapping. You could hear the click.”

Who was watching him? Leathley-Andrew says the wire-tapping and other strange incidents like the man with the orange face began just two days after he opened the Unidentified Flying Object Information Bureau and happened to other members of the group as well.

“All the lights in the house suddenly dimmed as though a huge electrical load had been put in the circuit. “This will happen once in a while normally, but it kept on happening. This is most unusual.”

Indeed. Yet he continued on, until a sinister photograph of an alleged UFO was sent to him.

“One man sent me pictures of a UFO. It was the lid of exactly the same handcream my wife used. The jar was there on the table in front of me.”

In his “exit” interview with The Coventry Telegraph on December 3, 1968, Leathley-Andrew says he destroyed all of his personal records of the UFO sightings and closed the UFO group out of fear for his family’s safety. According to the article, the only records left are the archives of The Coventry Telegraph. Searches on the Internet turn up nothing on Leathley-Andrew nor his organization. While he doesn’t mention aliens, he does indicate that he believed many of the sightings were due to experimental research by the Government and possibly by the nearby Rolls Royce factory, maker of high-performance aircraft engines.

So, why has Brian Leathley-Andrew decided to come out of deep hiding after 50 years?

“I want to publicly warn all teenage hobbyists that this is nothing to dabble in lightly. Society is being watched by the Department of Them. Say hello to System X.”

The Department of Them? System X? Is he right?

Is 2018 the year time travel comes out of the closet and achieves some sort of legitimacy, if not actual proof, like UFOs did in 2017? After videos of three alleged time travelerssurfaced earlier this year in one week, three more appeared recently and a presidential candidate, who claims he has time traveled and promised to expose the technology if elected, revealed he has also time traveled to Mars and seen evidence of life and graveyards. What about some lottery numbers or stock market predictions?

Let’s start with pixel-faced “Noah.” He appeared first in a video from Apex TV (the new go-to source for time travel videos) where he claims he’s from the year 2030, says he can’t show his face or use his real voice because he could be assassinated for revealing the future and looks like his comments are being evaluated by a lie detector which buzzes in the background while the video flashes the word “True” on the screen. That last part seems pretty questionable, not to mention hokey.

In the video, and in a later interview in Australia on Sydney’s KIIS 106.5, he says that (some media reports call these “predictions” but they should be called “revelations” since he allegedly already knows they will happen) that Donald Trump will be re-elected, the law limiting the age of a president will be changed and a 21-year-old female named Ilana Remikee will become President in 2030 – but the really big news is that Ilana is the granddaughter of Martin Luther King Jr. Although that one registers “true” on the so-called lie detector, no searches have come up with a granddaughter of King by that name. He also said he takes pills to keep from aging, has proof he’s from the future (although he doesn’t reveal it – possibly waiting to get on a bigger radio show), says global warming will still be a problem as will pennies, even though bitcoin use will increase.

“Noah” also says humans will fly to Mars, which seems to contradict time traveler number 2 and presidential candidate Andrew Basiago. Basiago is running again in 2020 (he ran in 2016) and has an interesting list on his website of 100 proposals he will fulfill if elected, including disclosing “the existence of the secret US presence on the Red Planet.” A recent article in express.co.uk refers to a presentation which he supposedly gave at an unspecified MUFON symposium where he said:

“We landed on Mars in 1964 – the documentary source I can cite, but can’t proffer is a French external intelligence organisation dossier I was asked to read in the summer of 1980 which was also read by the future President Barack Obama which referred to a crash landing by an American team of astronauts on Mars who perished because they were not rescued by the Martian humanoids.”

He also allegedly repeats what he claims to have revealed in 2008 that:

“I show that in a ravine west of the Home Plate in the Gusev Crater on Mars, there was a mass grave of several hundred humanoid bodies, both male and female, clothed in uniform blue clothes suggestive of regimentation.”

Can someone ask pixelized Noah and his lie detector to give us a clarification on when humans go to Mars? Or maybe we can ask pixelized Edward, another first-names-only-please time traveler who claims in yet another Apex TV video that in 2004 he traveled to the year 5000 and just now decided to reveal what he brought back … a blurred picture of what he claims is Los Angeles under water. Speaking of blurred pictures of the future, Alexander Smith chose last week to reveal (in another Apex TV video) that he traveled to the year 2118 and his proof is a blurred photo of an unidentified city – blurred due to the stress of time travel, a common excuse.

What do we make of these time travel tales? The revelations are conflicting, the evidence is blurry (both physically and in explanation), the source for all of the videos except Andrew Basiago’s is Apex TV, and the time travelers themselves don’t appear to be the kind of believable people you’d select to send back to warn humanity of what’s coming.

Is this new interest in time travel and warnings from the future merely a way to cope with what’s happening in the world today?

Project Blue Beam: NASA Is Beta Testing Alien Invasion

Just short of Fourth of July, which is only a few days away, man-made auroras have been spread across the skies, causing much amazement along the east coast and parts of Virginia.

This amazing display of auroras, a rare sight, was due to a long-delayed launch of the terrier-improved Malemute rocket which had encountered many obstacles just before its launch, having been delayed an astonishing ten times before it finally launched just before Independence Day.

The rocket was launched to just above 100 miles above Earth, where the rocket discharged small canisters containing colorful chemicals that burst in the atmosphere to create an artificial aurora. However, that was not the main point of the experiment.

Conspiracy theories: What is Project Blue Beam?

According to conspiracy theories, the Blue Beam Project is a secret Star Trek-like black project NASA is alledegly working on to fake an alien invasion in order unite humanity into a New Age world religion under the United Nation with the Antichrist at its head. This is considered to be the start of a New World Order as a result of this simulated Second Coming and the destruction of religious doctrines, the fourth step, with advanced laser projection technology beyond our imagination. These lasers would be used to project information and images of unimaginable supernatural forces in scale never witnessed over every major city on Earth.

The theories about Project Blue Beam were first presented by Quebecois journalist and conspiracy theorist Serge Monast in 1994. A few yeas later he wrote the book "Project Blue Beam (NASA)". Monast died as a result of a heart attack in 1996. Conspiracy theories made the rounds that he and the coauthor of his book were in fact assassinated in an effort to cover-up his investigations into Project Blue Beam.

NASA was actually researching on a deeper purpose and meaning: getting a better understanding of our Earth's atmosphere, vital to life on Earth and the health of the people and animals living on Earth. The second main point is to test equipment which will be used to study the auroras over Norway, an anomaly in our atmosphere that is vital for us as a species to understand it, such that we will be able to know how mother nature truly works, and the wonders it can do.

NASA has always ventured further, and above much of what humanity can truly do, in the vastness of our skies and beyond. Now, we can only hope that experiments are continued such that it can help our environment - and preserve it better.

Sadly, some parts of the east coast were robbed of the wonderful display as overcast skies blocked the view of the aurora. Let us hope that more chances will arise that will allow this spectacular view.
