Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

Ruimtesonde maakt zich klaar voor precisielanding. Doel van de missie? Stukje ruimterots naar de aarde brengen -HLN.be
De Amerikaanse ruimtesonde OSIRIS-REx staat voor een van zijn grootste uitdagingen sinds zijn lancering in 2016. Het doel is om vandaag, omstreeks 23 uur, na een precisielanding zo’n 60 gram stof en stenen van planetoïde Bennu op te pikken. Wat zijn opdracht zo uitdagend maakt? Bennu draait zo snel om zijn as dat een dag er slechts vier uur duurt.
De ruimtesonde OSIRIS-REx – voluit is dat de Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security, Regolith Explorer – maakt deel uit van het New Frontiers-programma van de Amerikaanse ruimtevaartorganisatie NASA. Dat programma brengt tal van ruimtevaartuigen met meetinstrumenten naar de uithoeken van ons zonnestelsel. Het materiaal van Bennu - dat pas op 24 september 2023 op aarde zal aankomen- zou een beter beeld moeten geven van het ontstaan van ons zonnestelsel.
OSIRIS-Rex zou overigens de eerste zijn die sinds de Apollomissies terug materiaal vanuit de ruimte naar de aarde brengt. Dat geldt tenminste voor de Amerikanen; Japan lanceerde een soortgelijke missie en die belooft eerder te finishen.
OSIRIS-REx houdt de planetoïde overigens al sinds 2018 - twee jaar na de lancering van de ruimtesonde - in de gaten. Zo leerde de ruimtesonde dat Bennu bezaaid ligt met rotsblokken zo groot als koeien. Ook ontdekte hij sporen van watermoleculen op de rots én vond hij de ideale plek om vandaag te landen. Die landing zal amper 16 seconden duren, net voldoende tijd om ongeveer 60 gram gruis op te zuigen.
Waarom Bennu – een planetoïde met een diameter van zo’n 490 meter en een hobbelig oppervlak - werd uitgekozen? De planetoïde staat met 334 miljoen kilometer niet zo ver van de aarde verwijderd. Een tweede (nog belangrijkere) reden is dat Bennu in bijna hetzelfde vlak rond de zon draait als de aarde. Daardoor is de planetoïde behoorlijk benaderbaar.

COAST TO COAST AM INSIDER Archived Show – During the first half of the show, reporter and editor for Earthfiles, Linda Moulton Howe, shared her research into the famous Kinross F-89 jet fighter that disappeared over Lake Superior on November 23, 1953. She said the F-89 had been ordered to investigate a rapidly moving UFO being tracked on radar by Kinross AFB. According to reports from the time, the radar blip of the UFO “swallowed” the radar blip of the aircraft and it was never seen again.
Recently released photos taken by Great Lakes Dive Company show the remains of an F-89 at the bottom of Lake Superior, Linda explained, as well as a strange, teardrop-shaped object located 212 feet from the plane’s wreckage. Using a combination of Sharc2 side scan sonar and ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) technology, the company was able to verify the F-89′s tail number and get further details on the unknown object next to it.
In Linda’s interview, Great Lakes Dive Company spokesman Adam Jimenez described the “mystery object” as smooth, metallic and large, with the exposed area of the object measuring 8 feet by 15 feet. Jimenez said the forensic evidence seems to point to a low-speed, low-level collision of these two objects.

The manuscript is named after Wilfrid Voynich, a Polish book dealer who purchased it in 1912. Some of the pages are missing, with around 240 remaining. The text is written from left to right, and most of the pages have illustrations or diagrams. Some pages are foldable sheets.

If 2020 hadn’t already been bad enough due to pandemic. Now Neil deGrasse Tyson says that an asteroid could hit the US just 24 hours before the presidential election. An asteroid is heading for Earth at an estimated speed of 21,300mph (40,000 km/hr). It is formally known as “asteroid 2018VP1”.

NASA has verified that it has a trajectory of potentially hitting the U.S. on Nov. 2nd. NASA estimated it to weigh about 35,273lbs (15999 kg). After hitting the Earth, it would release an estimated 0.42 kilotons of energy. NASA says the chances of it hitting Earth is about one in 240, or 0.41 percent. The asteroid is expected to come as close as between 7500 km and 410000 km of Earth.
It is a refrigerator-sized asteroid The space rock is seven feet in diameter. That is 7,500 times smaller than the meteor that killed the dinosaurs. So It is not big enough to cause any harm. If it hits our atmosphere, it would look really bright before breaking up into tiny pieces. So If the World ends in 2020, it won’t be due to the universe’s fault.

To see this UFO, you really need to make the video full screen. At that point you will notice when he zooms in...the UFO sometimes is a triangle, oval and diamond shape. A couple noticed a bright white light in the sky and began recording. The light moves slightly as if its watching something below. Its definatly not a plane or helicopter, because there are no wings, tail or propellers. She said it was silent, as many glowing white orbs are...matching past reports. UFOs love visiting airports...if you remember the O'hare incident...the UFO was seen for over 15 minutes diverting planes before it shot up and away, and the China UFO was so big it closed the whole airport. Aliens are highly interested in human transportation technology. It can tell them how close we are to being able to leave this planet to make cities on other planets.

In the new UFO documentary “The Phenomenon,” former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says there’s more than one up there, but the US government has been hiding vital details about UFOs for years.
According to Reid, the federal government has covered up, placed braked pads on everything, and stopped it. He said that it’s a terrible move for our country.
Director of the new documentary James Fox asked Reid if there’s proof that still hasn’t disclosed. The latter replied that most of it hadn’t seen the light of day.
The film looks into the history of UFO sightings in the US and other parts of the world, including new information on the military-confirmed encounters involving US navy pilots. It also provides details of an incident in 1967 wherein an object appeared over a US missile base, and 10 of the missiles malfunctioned at the same time.
Reid, who was among the lawmakers instrumental in a classified but since-closed government-backed UFO program, has become more and more outspoken about the phenomena since leaving the office. He, however, stopped short of confirming proof of extra-terrestrial activity. He said on Twitter last August that he wanted the issue studied and stick to science, not fairy tales about space aliens.
The same view he pointed out in the new film. He said that nobody has to agree on the reason it’s there, but we should at least be spending some money to examine all this phenomenon.
Did Florida Man just see a real UFO? Some say it was the size of the moon
Moons over Miami – whether you think this is a sci-fi short story or the misspelling of a popular dish at Denny’s, we assure you it’s what a Florida Man may have seen yesterday. A moon-sized object appeared in the sky, but with an unusual shape & color.
A video posted in Florida depicts a strange light in the sky. Travis Bell, the lucky Florida man who caught the UFO sighting, posted his find on October 1. The UFO video lasts fifteen seconds.
“It wasn’t that long and bright on that side,” a woman says in the video. Above the water, a pink, rectangular light dangles in the sky behind a foggy cloud. She notes the shape is getting more defined. Then, Bell pans the video to the moon to prove it’s not the moon. When he turns the camera back, it’s gone.
The unusual shape in the sky garnered lots of attention. Commenters asked if they could feature him in videos & magazines. Of the eleven comments, there was one skeptic, suggesting it could be the reflection of a laser pointer.

UFO enthusiast Scott Waring featured the Florida man’s UFO video on his blog. He posted it on October 5, relating the video contentsto his audience. He offered no additional explanation other than “The moon is clear and round, but the UFO is rectangle-shaped & pinkish.”
Scott Waring also elaborated on the Florida man capturing the moon before the UFO disappeared. “The eyewitnesses screamed out of confusion, fear & awe at what they had just seen,” he said.
Waring is known for giving explanations for UFO sightings. He’s previously explained on his blog how craters & other debris on planets in our solar system are remnants of ancient alien civilizations. He also delves into different types of UFOs on his site. However, Waring gave no explanation for the UFO sighting from Florida man.
UFO sightings in Florida
According to the National UFO Reporting Center, NUFORC, Florida claims the second-highest UFO sightings in the U.S., with 5,602 sightings clocked by the UFO research agency. However, Bay News 9 clarifies there could be a simple explanation: both states have a high number of aerodynamic and space exploration research places. Florida is also home to Cape Canaveral, the launch site for NASA.
The last listed UFO sighting by NUFORC is from September 4 in Lakeland, Florida. NUFORC describes the sighting as a “fireball” shape lasting four seconds. “Bright Falling Green Object In A Moonlit Early Morning Sky” is the caption of the incident from NUFORC. While that could be a flare, we have to wonder.
That doesn’t mean the UFO sighting from Florida man won’t be on the radar. NUFORC has a tip line and an online reporting form for people to fill out for UFO sightings. It just may take a while for this new sighting in Florida to end up on the list.
UFO uptick in 2020
Apparently, UFO sightings are on an upswing this year. They’ve fallen steadily since 2014. However, 2020 has given people more time to stare at the sky and see more phenomena. Florida is no exception.
Also, in May, the U.S. government announced the existence of UFOs. The Department of Defense released a series of footage from military sites depicting UFOs moving across the camera. At least one came from a training exercise off the Eastern Seaboard.
According to an article from The New York Times, the Pentagon even had its own alien defense program. Called the “Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program,” the program boasted a $22 million yearly budget (considering the overall U.S. defense budget, it’s actually small.) According to the Times article, it was shut down in 2012. Information on the program was declassified in 2020 along with the UFO footage.

SpaceX has successfully orbited another batch of 60 Starlink satellites, landed the Falcon 9 booster that launched it, and caught both halves of the rocket’s payload fairing.
Starlink-13 is now the second time ever that SpaceX has simultaneously recovered a Falcon 9 booster and caught both fairing halves on the same mission, coming just shy of three months after the first success.

The first full-fairing catch came just shy of three months prior during SpaceX’s launch of ANASIS II military communications satellite for South Korea. SpaceX confirmed the back-to-back catch around an hour after Falcon 9’s July 20th liftoff, followed by onboard videos showing both catches.
For twin recovery ships GO Ms. Tree (formerly Mr. Steven) and GO Ms. Chief, the successful recovery effectively marked the first time that the pair achieved their design goal of whole-fairing recovery. Technically, SpaceX has already proven that fairing halves can be flown at least three times even after missed catches and ocean splashdowns, but avoiding saltwater immersion helps avoid corrosion and makes reuse far easier.
A step further, both of the Starlink-13 Falcon fairing halves SpaceX caught on October 18th had already launched twice before – the second and third times SpaceX has flown the same fairing half three times.
Meanwhile, around thirty minutes prior to Ms. Tree and Ms. Chief’s second fairing recovery hat trick, Starlink-13’s assigned Falcon 9 booster successfully landed aboard drone ship Of Course I Still Love You (OCISLY). Designated B1051 and originally tasked with supporting Crew Dragon’s uncrewed orbital launch debut back in March 2019, Starlink-13 was the first stage’s sixth successful launch and landing, making it the second Falcon 9 booster to complete six flights.
For Starlink-13, the use – and successful recovery – of a five-flight booster and two-flight fairing likely means that the marginal cost of the mission to SpaceX was little more than the cost of propellant (
As an example of the impact of that extraordinary affordability, if SpaceX put the entirety of its latest $2B capital raise towards Starlink missions, it could likely complete 60-80 launches, placing some 3600-4800 new satellites in orbit. The entire first phase of SpaceX’s Starlink constellation – offering uninterrupted broadband internet anywhere on Earth – requires ~4400 satellites.
Coincidentally, Falcon 9 B1049 – the first booster to launch and land six times – was spotted just outside SpaceX’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) LC-39A launch facilities the day (Oct 17) before B1051 lifted off from the same pad. The booster appears to be more or less waiting for its next flight, implying that all post-flight processing has already been completed since its last launch on August 18th.

In the global race to measure ever shorter time spans, physicists from Goethe University Frankfurt have now taken the lead: together with colleagues at the accelerator facility DESY in Hamburg and the Fritz-Haber-Institute in Berlin, they have measured a process that lies within the realm of zeptoseconds for the first time: the propagation of light within a molecule. A zeptosecond is a trillionth of a billionth of a second (10-21 seconds).

In 1999, the Egyptian chemist Ahmed Zewail received the Nobel Prize for measuring the speed at which molecules change their shape. He founded femtochemistry using ultrashort laser flashes: the formation and breakup of chemical bonds occurs in the realm of femtoseconds. A femtosecond equals 0.000000000000001 seconds, or 10-15 seconds.
Now atomic physicists at Goethe University in Professor Reinhard Dörner’s team have for the first time studied a process that is shorter than femtoseconds by magnitudes. They measured how long it takes for a photon to cross a hydrogen molecule: about 247 zeptoseconds for the average bond length of the molecule. This is the shortest timespan that has been successfully measured to date.
The scientists carried out the time measurement on a hydrogen molecule (H2) which they irradiated with X-rays from the synchrotron lightsource PETRA III at the Hamburg accelerator centre DESY. The researchers set the energy of the X-rays so that one photon was sufficient to eject both electrons out of the hydrogen molecule.
Electrons behave like particles and waves simultaneously, and therefore the ejection of the first electron resulted in electron waves launched first in the one, and then in the second hydrogen molecule atom in quick succession, with the waves merging.
The photon behaved here much like a flat pebble that is skimmed twice across the water: when a wave trough meets a wave crest, the waves of the first and second water contact cancel each other, resulting in what is called an interference pattern.
The scientists measured the interference pattern of the first ejected electron using the COLTRIMS reaction microscope, an apparatus that Dörner helped develop and which makes ultrafast reaction processes in atoms and molecules visible. Simultaneously with the interference pattern, the COLTRIMS reactions microscope also allowed the determination of the orientation of the hydrogen molecule. The researchers here took advantage of the fact that the second electron also left the hydrogen molecule, so that the remaining hydrogen nuclei flew apart and were detected.
“Since we knew the spatial orientation of the hydrogen molecule, we used the interference of the two electron waves to precisely calculate when the photon reached the first and when it reached the second hydrogen atom,” explains Sven Grundmann whose doctoral dissertation forms the basis of the scientific article in Science. “And this is up to 247 zeptoseconds, depending on how far apart in the molecule the two atoms were from the perspective of light.”
Professor Reinhard Dörner adds: “We observed for the first time that the electron shell in a molecule does not react to light everywhere at the same time. The time delay occurs because information within the molecule only spreads at the speed of light. With this finding we have extended our COLTRIMS technology to another application.”

Hey I was watching the live cam at Vatican city, Rome the other day and I noticed a dark oval UFO hovering over the main building...Saint Peters Church. Saint Peters Basilica was built in the Renaissance period back in 1506. Its believed Saint Peter himself is buried in the catacombs below the church.
This UFO may have been visiting the main building so that the crew of the craft could explore the most holy site in all of Europe. Millions of people flock to Vatican city each year to explore its magnificent buildings. I was there two years ago and St Peters church has hundreds of carved statues 2-4X bigger than life with magnificent marble floors and stain glass windows. None of which you notice on the outside so much.
I believe aliens were exploring, learning and gathering information in the main building in order to learn more about the beliefs of the Catholic church and they may have even met secretly with Pope Francis himself that day. This is 100% proof that aliens visit the Vatican.
This is the newest Nazca lines discovery in Peru this week. The people reporting it says is a cat, but it has very little resemblance to a cat. I think its a kangaroo. Made 2,000 years ago there were no kangaroos in Peru, but I believe some of the people were allowed into a UFO and taken to other places on Earth to observe and learn...one of them being Australia. Fossils of kangaroos go back 20 million years in Australia and I think this is proof that aliens not only visited people in Peru, but took them to other continents to see how the humans react and learn. This would also explain why pyramids are all over the world and yet, they had no ways of visiting the other continents. Aliens abducted them and helped them see the world, other continents, animals, plant life and even structure of other cultures. This Nazca line drawing is 100% proof that aliens abducted humans even 2,000 years ago. The humans tried to draw the kangaroo for the aliens to see to show them that they will remember what they had learned and seen in Australia.

Guys I found this the other day and one of my subscribers notified me that if I go to ground view it will be more visible. I tried it and yes it does give a better view of the USAF B1 bomber. It stands out very well and its clear that there really is a military B1 parked there. Very strange and absolutely amazing to see a US military plane with stealth technology. Why would they turn the cloaking on while its on the ground? Easy, maintenance crews and pilots often test every single area of the plane before its allowed to go back up in the air. Its best to do that in order to make the flight the safest possible.

Acolorful and flashing Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon has been captured while hovering over San Ramon in California.
Witness:
On September 20, 2020, first noticed it around 8;30pm and it looked like a large colorful flashing star-like light from the distance. We (family and a few neighbors) thought it could be a plane but it didn't appear to be moving.
A 42x zoom with a camera revealed it was a Saturn-like rotating object flashing many colors. The body and small dots (in a ring-shape) rotating around it were consistently changing colors.
The colors were flashing in a pattern that kept on changing. For example one of the sequential patterns it kept flashing was green, red, blue, yellow, purple, cyan, and white (many times in a row) and another pattern that it flashed was black and white.
It never emitted any noise, nor did it make any sudden movements. Over the 2 hour span, we watched the light, we soon realized it was slowly moving away and lowering to the horizon and we soon lost it behind the trees and never saw it again. Mufon case 111870.
Since the UAP was moving in the sky at approximately 500 feet and filmed with a 42x zoom, the object may be out of focus.

Coincidence or not but within several days a similar UFO has been captured near Palm Springs in California and over a rural area in Korea.
There is not too much information on the sighting in Korea, only that the photographer captured the object on October 16, 2020, but the photographer who captured the object near Mount Jan Jacinto, Palm Springs, California several days earlier, on October 13, 2020, states:
"I always wonder how with modern technology we get all these horrible recordings of UFOs until today when I witnessed my own, sorry for the quality was driving at high speed. Saw this on a route that I take to work very often I’ve seen clouds around the mountains very often but never like this."
I'm not sure whether the objects are real UFOs or blimps, but what makes it striking is that both objects have the same shape and color. It is possible that both witnesses captured the same flying object?
