The planet-destroying Death Star from "Star Wars" may be fictional, but a star at the end of its life and only a bit bigger than Earth could be its real-world twin: The star is currently destroying and disintegrating an orbiting planet bit by bit.
The ill-fated planetary body and its debris are about the size of Texas or the dwarf planet Ceres, the largest asteroid in Earth's solar system, and it will be fully destroyed within about a million years. Scientists watching the object disintegrate will get the best-ever view of a solar system's death, researchers said — and a look at the likely future of our own system.
Scientists observed the crumbling planet using NASA's Kepler space telescope and pulled out further detail through ground observation. This marks the first time scientists have ever seen a planetary body passing around a tiny, faint white dwarf (the planet's destroyer), researchers report in a new study. "This is something no human has seen before," Andrew Vanderburg, a graduate student at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and lead author of the new study, said in a statement. "We're watching a solar system get destroyed."
"What we're seeing are fragments of a disintegrating planet that is being vaporized by [the white dwarf's] starlight and is losing mass," Vanderburg told Space.com. "The vapor is getting lost into orbit, and that condenses into dust which then blocks the starlight." (The object is being destroyed by the white dwarf's intense heat and possibly by its gravitational tides as well, likely after its orbit became unstable and moved inward, the researchers said in the statement.)
Watching the dust from the decomposing object change the light from the white dwarf is a major milestone for understanding stars and the planets that orbit them, the researchers said.
Stellar mystery
As a star grows old, it balloons outward into a huge red giant, swallowing anything orbiting too close to it. Researchers say that, in the case of Earth's solar system, the sun will grow to engulf Mercury, Venus and possibly Earthin about 5 billion years.
Eventually, an old star runs out of fuel; then, it sheds its massive outer envelope into space, and its core contracts into a small, dense white dwarf. (White dwarfs are the final form of stars close to our sun's size, whereas much larger stars end in supernova explosions.)
Any elements heavier than hydrogen or helium should soon be sucked into the center of that white dwarf, but as astronomers learned to peer closer, they noticed something strange: Many white dwarfs somehow still have heavy elements like magnesium and iron in their atmospheres that should have been pulled inward. So, astronomers surmised, something must be continuously adding those elements to the surface.
Some astronomers suspected that planets and other bodies orbiting the white dwarf, knocked off-kilter by the star's loss of mass, might collide with one another and shatter into asteroidlike pieces, which, if they wander too close, would be pulled apart by the dwarf's gravity. Then, those pieces would form a disk of dust that would fall into the star, replenishing its supply of metals.
Astronomers had noticed, in some cases, the very planet-like makeup of those dusty veils. But because nobody had ever seen the broken-up planets themselves passing around a white dwarf, it remained an educated guess.
Seeing strange signals
Now, Vanderburg's group has spotted just such a signature in the recurring decline and reappearance of a white dwarf's light picked up by the Kepler space telescope during its K2 mission. White dwarfs are small, so such "transits" occur quickly as objects orbit them and are easy to miss.
But because white dwarfs are so small, the passing bodies can block out more light and make the change much more noticeable. This particular white dwarf star is about 570 light-years from Earth in the constellation Virgo, and the object orbits its star at a distance of about 520,000 miles (837,000 kilometers) — more than twice the distance from the Earth to the moon, researchers said in the statement.
By incorporating data from ground-based telescopes as well, the group was able to piece together a more detailed view of the object passing in front of the star. The transits were very short, confirming that the thing being blocked out was very small, like a white dwarf. Moreover, the transits were asymmetrical in how much light they blocked over time, providing the researchers a key clue to interpreting the scenario.
"Instead of being transited by a solid planet, the white dwarf was being transited by a planet that has a dusty, cometlike tail trailing behind it," Vanderburg said. That tail, rather than just an isolated object orbiting, would make the starlight change unevenly over time. There are likely several fragments making the journey and entering astronomers' view, Vanderburg said.
The data that finally supported this conclusion and pulled all the observations together reached Vanderburg in an email at 1 a.m, just before he was going to sleep — and he was up for the next five hours because the data "was just so exciting and so stunning," he said. For the first time, researchers were seeing the 10-year-old theory about how white dwarf systems evolve directly confirmed in the night sky.
New views
Other researchers are similarly enthused by this finding, Vanderburg said, and almost all of them have their own theories for what, exactly, is happening.
"We've never witnessed something like this," said Francesca Faedi, an astronomer at the University of Warwick in England, and author of a "News and Views" column accompanying the new results, published online today (Oct. 21) in the journal Nature.
"It's the first object known to have been born, survived and [be] dying around the host star — which is very cool," she told Space.com.
By watching a planetary body break apart around the white dwarf, researchers will be able to get a sense of the different elements inside it as it disintegrates. They will also be able to study its atmosphere much more easily than if it were orbiting a larger star — simply because it covers up more of the star and creates a bigger signal for today's technology to analyze. By finding white-dwarf transits in Kepler data, researchers will get the closest look yet at such exoplanets. [The Strangest Alien Planets (Gallery)]
"Finally, white dwarfs get a little bit of fuss around them," Faedi said. "They deserve that."
Seeing the final stages of a planetary system around such a dwarf is key, she added. "We cannot have a nice picture of exoplanets, we cannot understand exoplanets, unless we understand how they got formed, how they evolve dynamically and how they die," Faedi said.
And while they're at it, systems like these give astronomers hints about what will happen when the sun becomes Earth's own "Death Star." Of course, by then Earth will be burnt to a crisp following the sun's expansion into a red giant, if not engulfed altogether. But at least it won't have succumbed to the Dark Side.

From: ALIEN ABDUCTIONS IN THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE by Dr. Karla Turner
A man in his late 40′s came to us to explore several alien- related events in his life, and in the interview he told of a strange, although not apparently alien-oriented, episode that had haunted him since childhood. When he was ten years old, his grandmother came to visit in his home, and since the house was small, she shared his bed on the first night of her visit.
During the night, the boy was awakened by a loud male voice. He couldn’t understand what the voice was saying, but it sounded angry and was addressing the grandmother lying beside him. The next morning, he asked his grandmother, “What was that voice in the bedroom last night?”
His grandmother, with tears in her eyes, pulled him tightly to her and said, “That was the devil.” She said nothing more about the episode, but she did insist that her son take her back to her own home immediately. It was an unreasonable request, and her son tried to talk her out of it. But the grandmother was adamant, and finally her son agreed to take her home the following day.
The entire family made the trip of over a hundred miles back to the grandmother’s farm, and within an hour of their arrival, the grandmother suffered a massive stroke and died. Ever since that event, the man had felt a heavy burden of guilt associated with his grandmother’s death. Yet there was no conscious reason for him to have felt that way. The entire event was poignant and mystifying, but in all the alien encounters he had subsequently undergone, he had felt that the aliens were his friends and were helping him by expanding his psychic abilities.
A regression session was arranged, and in the course of the hypnosis, he was asked to look at that childhood experience. What he recalled was an abduction in which he and his grandmother were taken to a spacecraft in the company of reptilian aliens. He remembered the aliens telling his grandmother that they were interested in learning about her knowledge of medicinal herbs. And they offered to exchange medical information of their own. They gave the boy and the grandmother a liquid to drink, explaining that it was beneficial and would make the grandmother feel young and attractive again. So both of them drank the liquid, and the man remembered seeing his grandmother indeed looking much younger. That was the extent of his recollection.
Both he and Ms. Bartholic, who was conducting the regression, were puzzled by this, because there was nothing in the episode to account for the guilt he had felt about the grandmother’s death. So Ms. Bartholic deepened the man’s trance level and asked him to look at it again, with much clearer vision. And what he then recalled was much more disturbing.
The abduction, at first, followed his initial recollection. But when the liquid was drunk, he now remembered a very strong feeling of change in his body. And he saw that the grandmother didn’t actually look younger. Instead, she was placed on a table and approached by one of the reptilian aliens who wanted to have intercourse with her. The liquid had acted as an aphrodisiac, yet the grandmother resisted and said that since her husband’s death she would not have sex with anyone. The reptilian laughed and disappeared from the room momentarily. When he returned, he was accompanied by a man who looked exactly like the dead husband.
At this point, the grandmother agreed to have sex, but as the act was in progress, she suddenly realized that the image of her dead husband was a cruel illusion. It was actually the reptilian on top of her, and she cried out in great resistance for him to leave her alone. Once he was finished with her, he lifted up the little boy and placed him on top of the grandmother, forcing another sex act upon the both of them. Then the grandmother was removed from the table and the little boy was victimized himself by the reptilian, forced to have anal and oral sex. The grandmother protested violently, pushing the reptilian away from her grandson and interposing her body between them. “By Jesus,” she shouted, “you will not touch this boy!”
That must have been the wrong thing to say, because the reptilian became very angry and threatened her. “You will die for that!” he told her, and the two people were returned to the bedroom from which they’d been taken. The next morning, the grandmother told the little boy that the devil had been there the night before, and that was when she insisted upon being taken home. And, as it turned out, she did die immediately thereafter.
This, then, was the cause of the man’s lifelong sense of guilt about her death. He had been forced to have sex with her, and her death had followed shortly after. But none of this story would have emerged if Ms. Bartholic had done as most investigators do and stopped the regression after uncovering the story about the exchange of medicinal knowledge.
There are other cases in our files that show a similar deception at work in the initial hypnotic recall. We cannot trust that first memory, it is clear, for like so much else in the abduction experience, there may well be further maskings of events.

I took out the Sunday night trash at 11 pm and smoked my cigarette at the entrance to my garage when all of a sudden I noticed a diamond shaped craft seemingly jump out of the sky/stars and pulsate in the night sky.
I immediately felt extremely uncomfortable and thought maybe I caught the tail end of a very bright shooting star as the craft disappeared, but within 10-15 seconds it reappeared even closer for about 8-10 seconds and grew much larger before skimming up towards the sky even higher.
The craft seemed to look like the North Star every time it would pulsate/vibrate to a stop before totally disappearing. Then every 10-20 seconds it would reappear in a vibrating/pulsating brightglow and literally seemed to be mimicking the North Star every time it stopped.
It is an absolutely crystal clear night tonight and this experience just occurred a little over an hour ago. It seemed to be super high in the sky, like it was outside the atmosphere and as far away as the stars but it would appear very close at the same time. The craft appeared to be gigantic, diamond in shape that would glow with a vibrating white circular center and white edges that would become almost transparent.
The entire event took about 3-5 minutes to completely dodge above my roof/house and be out of sight. I felt extremely uncomfortable and still feel uncomfortable and shocked with goose bumps as I type this. During the experience, I saw a second object that mimicked the main object briefly before darting across the sky faster than anything I have ever seen.
Both objects moved quickly and slowly but faster than anything I have ever seen when they moved around the sky at high rates of speed. I did not see any of the typical man made objects in the sky (planes, satellites, helicopters,) during the experience, but did see them on their normal paths a few mins after the experience ended. I held my hand at during the experience to block the only light in my neighborhood that was on to make sure I had the best view possible and when the second object appeared my hand felt warm like I was holding it up to a distant fire or welders torch. I have never seen anything remotely like these objects in my entire 30 years and never felt the way I felt during this experience in my entire life. I still feel very uncomfortable and awkwyrd.
I thought that there had to be an explanation and looked up online what did I just see in the night sky? The space station website showed up and I filled out the information on my location and time and it was nowhere near me. I could not find one video online that even resembled what I saw and experienced and I felt overwhelmingly compelled to somehow report this experience. Le «point Godwin»: allons-y tout de suite. Vous savez, c’est ce moment particulier, situé généralement à un stade avancé d’une controverse lambda, où l’on en vient à mentionner le nazisme pour étayer un point de vue. Alors sautons quelques étapes et partons de là. En 1938, le psychologue nazi Erich Jaensch publie un livre intitulé Der Gegentypus, dans lequel il décrit le fait d’avoir des certitudes comme «un indicateur de bonne santé mentale» et, à l’inverse, le fait de tolérer le doute comme «le signe d’une maladie psychique».
Le psy nazi obéissait à une tendance puissante à l’oeuvre dans le cerveau humain (et pas qu’humain, c’est pareil chez les macaques rhésus): depuis les travaux du psychologue californien Arie Kruglanski, on appelle cette inclination «besoin de conclusion» (need for closure). C’est «le désir d’une réponse ferme à un problème donné, n’importe quelle réponse plutôt que la confusion et l’ambiguité». Le mécanisme a ses avantages et ses inconvénients. Avantages: il permet, dans des situations de survie élémentaires, de «cesser de penser et d’aller de l’avant». Inconvénients: c’est une source de préjugés, de conformisme, de fanatisme, de tragédies individuelles et collectives. C’est ce que détaille l’essayiste états-unien Jamie Holmes, politologue et expert en économie comportementale, dans Nonsense. The Power of Not Knowing (Editions Crown), ouvrage fascinant visant à dévoiler les pièges et les méfaits de ce mécanisme, et à suggérer comment trouver des solutions créatives à des problèmes urgents en embrassant, au contraire, l’ambiguité.
La tactique de l’espion
Présent à des degrés variables selon les personnes et les circonstances, le «besoin de conclusion» (ou «intolérance à l’ambiguité», selon l’expression de la psychologue Else Frenkel-Brunswik) est apparemment gravé dans le fonctionnement de notre cerveau comme une donnée fondamentale. Les philosophes et les écrivains l’ont décrit, la psychologie expérimentale l’a mis en lumière, les neurosciences ont identifié les réseaux neuronaux qui lui sont associés. Il ne s’agit pas pour autant d’une fatalité. Un vaste éventail de possibilités s’ouvre lorsqu’on se demande ce qui fait que «nos esprits se referment d’un coup ou se déverrouillent face à l’ambiguité», note Jamie Holmes.
Exemple (et retour au point Godwin): en 1946, le linguiste et agent secret Michel Thomas, Allemand d’origine polonaise travaillant alors pour le contre-espionnage états-unien, mène une opération visant à capturer les membres d’un réseau qui œuvre clandestinement à restaurer le pouvoir nazi. La mission de Thomas consiste à recruter le chef du réseau, Rudolf Schelkmann, en se faisant passer pour le responsable d’une autre organisation occulte, plus puissante et mieux centralisée. Pour faire gober cette fiction au chef nazi, Thomas élabore une mise en scène destinée à induire chez lui du stress de toutes les manières possibles. L’espion sait en effet, intuitivement, qu’une situation de tension réduit l’aptitude du cerveau à remarquer les contradictions et amène l’esprit à coller à une explication sans nuances. Le nazi tombe dans le panneau.
Jouant du grand écart entre les possibilités opposées qui s’ouvrent au cerveau, Michel Thomas deviendra ensuite enseignant de langues. Il mettra au point une méthode, aujourd’hui célèbre auprès des cancres et des célébrités, pour apprendre les langues étrangères très vite, sans se fatiguer. La clé? À l’inverse exact de ce qu’il avait mis sur pied pour piéger Rudolf Schelkmann, il s’agit cette fois d’ôter à l’enseignement tous les éléments de stress. Les circonstances dans lesquelles on se surpasse cognitivement, celle où on réussit des apprentissages nouveaux et où l’on maîtrise des percées en terrain inconnu, ne sont pas celles où l’on se met sous pression. Ce sont celles où l’on élimine les tensions et l’anxiété, réduisant ainsi notre aversion naturelle pour la complexité.
En attendant les OVNI
Peu de temps après les exploits allemands de Michel Thomas (que certains soupçonnent d’affabuler, ce qui ne dépare pas une histoire où il est question avant tout d’ambiguité…), les sciences de l’esprit commencent à se pencher sérieusement sur le «besoin de conclusion». En 1954, le psychosociologue new-yorkais Leon Festinger et son équipe infiltrent un groupe d’illuminés qui annonce la fin du monde et le sauvetage de quelques élus par des extraterrestres. La prophétie ne se réalise pas, mais elle permet à Festinger d’observer ce qui se passe chez des sujets en proie à ce qu’il appellera «dissonance cognitive»: la tension qui apparaît dans notre esprit lorsque nous sommes livrés à des processus mentaux contradictoires. Confrontés à cet inconfort, les amis des ovnis observés par Festinger en viennent, spontanément, à renforcer des convictions qui auraient pourtant tout lieu d’être ébranlées.
En 1974, à l’université de Princeton, Mark Zanna et Joel Cooper mènent une étude en combinant la dissonance cognitive et un placebo qui est censé induire du stress. Ils découvrent que les sujets qu’on amène à attribuer leur inconfort mental à une cause extérieure (la pilule placebo, donc) ont moins besoin de fuir la complexité et de se réfugier dans des idées stéréotypées: le placebo fait office de bouc émissaire. En 2009, les Canadiens Travis Proulx et Steven Heine montent une expérience consistant à lire une nouvelle particulièrement déroutante de Franz Kafka (Un médecin de campagne) et à observer ensuite des suites de chiffres. La lecture plonge l’esprit dans un état d’incertitude qui le rend «affamé d’ordre» (pattern hungry): lorsqu’on mets les sujets face aux séquences chiffrées, ils ont l’impression de voir des motifs et des structures (patterns), même là où il n’y en a pas. Et en 2013, Travis Proulx et Brenda Major montrent que, soumis à une poussée d’incertitude dans un domaine quelconque (en l’occurrence, des cartes à jouer truquées), les sujets sont conduits à adhérer plus fortement à leurs convictions politiques préalables.
Conclusions? La dissonance cognitive se manifeste sous la forme d’une «subtile anxiété physique». Toute forme de tension (fatigue, pression, manque de temps) «intensifie notre appétit pour l’ordre». Et tout est bon pour sortir de l’ambiguité. C’est ainsi que des temps difficiles engendrent une adhésion compulsive à des solutions simples, n’importe lesquelles, même si elles sont illusoires. La montée ambiante des droites extrêmes illustre le processus.
Waco, une tragédie de la certitude
Que faire de ce savoir? Prévenir le ruée du cerveau vers la certitude peut éviter des drames et des tragédies. Jamie Holmes évoque l’exemple de la médecine («la source la plus fréquente de faux diagnostics est la conclusion prématurée») et celui des prises d’otages. Lors du siège de la secte des Davidiens à Waco, Texas, en 1993, le comportement du gourou, David Koresh, est éminemment ambivalent, comme c’est généralement le cas dans ce genre de situation. Le négociateur, Gary Noesner, parvient à obtenir des libérations d’adeptes en plusieurs vagues successives. Mais les dispositions changeantes du gourou assiégé finissent par irriter les hommes en charge de l’opération, qui ont un faible seuil de tolérance face à l’ambiguité. Le négociateur est écarté et la situation glisse vers la catastrophe: 82 personnes perdront la vie dans le raiddu FBI. Trois ans plus tard, Gary Noesner réussira quant à lui à mener, pendant 80 jours, un autre siège, celui du camp retranché du groupe extrémiste Montana Freemen, sans tirer un coup de feu.
Que faire si on veut éviter les pièges du «besoin de conclusion»? «Lorsque vous prenez une décision, faites en sorte de considérer consciemment votre niveau de stress», suggère Jamie Holmes. C’est bien. Mais savoir que ce stress existe ne suffit pas. Il faut «mettre en place de façon délibérée des règles de fonctionnement» qui conduisent à «ralentir les conclusions indûment rapides et à étendre le cadre temporel pendant lequel l’ambiguité est tolérée, voire embrassée». Il faut reconnaître que la culture de la «disruption», qui valorise le chamboulement permanent des cadres d’activité, engendre plus de conformisme que de créativité. Il faut encourager le bilinguisme et le multiculturalisme, qui habituent l’esprit à gérer l’incertitude, ainsi que les migrations croisées. Selon le psychologue californien Dean Simonton, qui en a chiffré l’impact sur l’innovation dans une étude multi-séculaire, celles-ci sont le principal facteur explicatif des variations dans le niveau de créativité d’une société.

Een klassieker van cabaretier Theo Maassen, die de aardse zoektocht naar buitenaards leven 'nogal zonde van het geld' vindt: ,,Er maar twee opties: of ze zijn dommer wij, of ze zijn slimmer dan wij. Als ze dommer zijn dan wij, dan hoef ik er niks mee te maken te hebben. En als ze slimmer zijn dan wij, dan vinden zij ons veel eerder dan wij hun."
Lachen natuurlijk, maar volgens ufo-gelovigen ziet Maassen één dingetje over het hoofd: 'ze' zijn er al. Voormalig lucht- en ruimtevaart- docent Coen Vermeeren, die beweert zelf meerdere keren ufo's te hebben gezien, is er ook zeker van. De wetenschapper schreef in 2013 het boek Ufo's bestaan gewoon, gebaseerd op veel bestaande literatuur en gesprekken met ufo-getuigen. De publicatie leverde behalve een enkele diskwalificatie (TU Delft-collega/astronoom Dap Hartman omschreef Vermeeren als 'ufo-gekkie') naar eigen zeggen dagelijks 'ongelooflijk veel reacties' en steunbetuigingen op.
,,Vooral van mensen die schrijven dat ze het fijn vinden dat hun waarnemingen en ideeën eindelijk serieus worden genomen." Overigens noemt Vermeeren, die geregeld lezingen geeft over 'hét onderwerp van deze eeuw' zich wat betreft de ufo-materie tegenwoordig liever 'filosoof en vrijdenker', naast zijn gewone baan als directeur van Studium Generale aan de TU Delft. ,,Want het vak ufoloog bestaat helaas nog niet."
Verder kijken Dat zou best eens kunnen veranderen. Want de groep mensen die verder wil kijken dan hemel en aarde, groeit gestaag. Dat merkt ook Robin de Boer (32) uit Lage Zwaluwe, die met zijn website Ninefornews.nl ('een kleine één miljoen unieke bezoekers per maand') veel aandacht besteedt aan buitenaards leven. ,,Uit peilingen in onder meer Groot-Brittannië blijkt dat inmiddels meer dan de helft van de mensen gelooft in intelligent buitenaards leven. Dat was 20 jaar geleden wel anders."
De verklaring voor het toegenomen geloof van intelligent leven in het universum is volgens De Boer, van huis uit geograaf ('nee, nog nooit zelf een ufo gezien') eenvoudig. ,,De NASA komt met de ene na de andere spannende onthulling, variërend van de aanwezigheid van water op Mars tot ijs op Pluto. Dat is spectaculair. En vooraanstaande astronomen beweren dat we binnen nu en een generatie intelligent buitenaards leven zullen ontdekken. We worden dus langzamerhand warm gemaakt voor het buitenaardse."
Daar komt nog bij dat een astronoom van Penn State University afgelopen week melding maakte van een wel heel mysterieuze ster in a galaxy far, far away. Het lijkt alsof er van alles rond die ster zweeft dat niet op een 'natuurlijke' manier kan worden verklaard, wat de mogelijkheid oproept dat het 'aangelegd' is. Niet bepaald een theorie waar serieuze wetenschappers snel op komen.

Stephan Hawking En er is meer: zo doneerde afgelopen zomer de Russische miljardair Joeri Milner 100 miljoen dollar aan Seti, de organisatie die (tot nu toe vergeefs) speurt naar buitenaards leven.
En door de befaamde Britse natuurkundige Stephen Hawking ('niet te hard roepen in de kosmos, want de kans bestaat dat hogere levensvormen net zulke agressieve, gewelddadige karaktereigenschappen hebben als wij') erbij te betrekken, betekent dat een enorme impuls voor de believers.
Bewijs De suggestie dat het geloof in ufo's en aliens kenmerken heeft van een nieuwe religie, verwerpt Coen Vermeeren. ,,Religie is gebaseerd op vertrouwen. Maar ik ben wetenschapper, dus ik wil gewoon bewijs zien."
Dat keiharde wetenschappelijke bewijs voor ufo's ontbreekt, geeft ook Vermeeren toe. ,,Maar er zijn de laatste 60 jaar duizenden ufo-meldingen gedaan van leken én getrainde waarnemers als piloten, astronauten en militair personeel. Er is video- en fotomateriaal, er zijn radarbeelden, er zijn talloze getuigenverklaringen: het is gewoon veel te veel om af te doen als onzin."
En, voor de goede orde: ufo betekent unidentified flying objects, ongeïdentificeerde vliegende objecten dus, wat niet automatisch zegt dat er groene mannetjes aan boord van het object moeten zitten. Vermeeren: ,,Ongeveer 95 procent van de ufo-meldingen is te verklaren. Dan blijken het weerballonnen, luchtspiegelingen of drone-achtige objecten te zijn. Maar dan blijft er nog altijd vijf procent over."
En, beweert Vermeeren, de gemelde onverklaarbare ruimteschepen zijn slechts het topje van de ijsberg. ,,Stel je voor: je bent piloot en ziet een ufo. Je bent verplicht dat aan de autoriteiten te melden, maar zeker als je een vrouw, kind en hypotheek hebt, bedenk je je wel twee keer of je dat wel doet: voor je het weet wordt er door mensen aan de grond getwijfeld aan je waarnemings-vermogen en ben je je baan kwijt." Die 'moderne variant op de brandstapel' - je wordt belachelijk gemaakt en sociaal uitgesloten als je beweert dat je ufo's hebt gezien - verdwijnt volgens Vermeeren pas als er serieus wetenschappelijk onderzoek wordt gedaan naar ufo's én als ufo-melders onder ede worden gehoord in de rechtszaal.
Paniek Wat volgens Vermeeren ook zou helpen: overheden die minder krampachtig ufo-info onder de pet houden. Dát dat gebeurt, is volgens de wetenschapper geen vraag meer. Kort samengevat: autoriteiten ontkennen het bestaan van ufo's in eerste instantie om paniek te voorkomen - in januari 2014 werd het luchtruim boven Bremen tijdelijk gesloten na talloze ufo-meldingen - maar ook omdat het de wereldeconomie op z'n kop zou zetten. Vermeeren sluit zich daarbij aan bij de Canadese ex-minister Paul Hellyer, die beweert dat buitenaardse techniek onze aardbol ingrijpend zal veranderen. ,,Wie geluidloos onze dampkring in kan komen, moet over superieure techniek beschikken," doceert Vermeeren. ,,Technieken die 'vrije energie voor de mensheid' dichterbij brengen. Dat vinden de Shells, de banken en andere grote bedrijven van deze wereld niet leuk, zij hebben er alle belang bij om de huidige situatie in stand te houden."
Niet zo lekker Vermeeren gelooft dat de buitenaardsen vredelievend zijn ('er is meerdere keren op ufo's geschoten, maar er is nog nooit teruggeschoten') én de mensheid verder kunnen helpen. Dat laatste is hard nodig, vindt hij, zeker omdat het met onze wereld ('oorlogen, leeggeviste zeeën, klimaatproblemen, boekhoudschandalen') momenteel niet zo lekker gaat. Vermeeren: ,,Het is niet zo gek dat ook veel jonge mensen denken: wat moet ik in deze wereld? De zoektocht naar buitenaards leven is voor mij dan ook een menselijke les in nieuwsgierigheid. En wat dat betreft zie ik gelukkig bij steeds meer mensen een open blik."
Robin de Boer van Ninefornews.nl ziet in dat verband ook een nieuwe ontwikkeling. ,,Eerst waren het vooral mensen uit de spirituele hoek die in aliens geloofden, nu merk je dat er een grote groep 'gewone' mensen interesse krijgt." En aangezien er ook veel mensen zijn die alle ufo-meldingen en buitenaardse uitstapjes afdoen als complotdenkerij en klinkklare onzin, levert dat met name op internetfora nogal wat verbaal gebekvecht op. De Boer: ,,Ik denk zelf ook dat er wel degelijk buitenaards leven mogelijk is, maar ik heb bepaald niet de wijsheid in pacht." En met een grijns: ,,Maar als de mensheid nu al zoveel met elkaar bekvecht, ben ik heel benieuwd hoe dat gaat als er straks echt aliens landen."

The Brightest star(s) in the sky is Sirius without a doubt, the name Sirius, comes from the Greek language and is translated as the glowing one or bright one. And what might appear as a single star is in fact a double or even possibly triple star system according to observations made in the 1920’s. Apparently our scientists are beginning to accept just now what ancient people worldwide already knew thousands of years before us, like the Dogon tribe in Africa.
According to the Dogon, the “instructor” gods descended from Sirius and brought knowledge and wisdom. What is interesting is that the Dogon knew about Sirius and its “triple” star system way before “modern” science found out its existence. According to studies it is believed that Sirius C, the third system, is a red dwarf star a hundred times less massive than our own Sun, and a lot less brighter making it hard to see with our equipment, thus the discovery is still awaiting confirmation from the astronomic community. But hey, the Dogon knew about the “triple star system” way back and that is whats causing all the stir.Ancient Egyptians also knew Sirius, and just like Orion, they considered this star system very important as they believed that the gods came from Orion and Sirius, Osiris and Isis.
The Dogon are an extremely interesting tribe, their most sacred and most ancient traditions speak of a star that is accompanied by the planetary system Sirius which they call “Po Tolo.” How did they know that? Whats even more interesting is the fact that the Dogon knew that every 50 years, the planet completed its orbit, and they knew that it was -, facts that modern-day astronomers have managed to corroborate. To make things even more interesting, the Dogon knew of the existence of a third star which they called “Emme Ya“, corresponding to the relatively newly discovered Sirius C. The Dogon believe that Emma Ya is actually four times lighter than Po Tolo even though it takes the same time to complete its orbit around Sirius A.
So how did they do it? How is it possible that these incredibly intelligent people known as the Dogon tribe knew of all of these extensive astronomical details? Details that were considered pure mythological stories until they were actually corroborated by astronomy and science, and all of a sudden mythology turns into reality. Apparently we have to understand that there is a thin line between mythology and reality, it’s just a matter of interpretation. How is it possible that the Dogon had all this astronomical knowledge without the tools to observe the sky properly?
The Dogon are a wonderfully mysterious tribe, their wisdom in astronomy has baffled researchers for centuries, their detailed knowledge about our Solar System is incredible. They knew about Jupiter and refered to the giant planet as “Dana Tolo“, they also knew about the four satellites and the rings, their “mythology” described the elliptical orbits of planetary systems around the sun and they even recognized the Sun as the “brother system” of Sirius. They claim that these two systems got separated to form two different star systems but with one identical origin. Just how did they manage to obtain this knowledge?
Modern day astronomy knows that Sirius B is a “white dwarf“, technically a tiny star that is extremely heavy. But there is more to the Dogon actually, they know about Sirius B and it is impossible to find Sirius B in the sky with the naked eye, and they even seem to possess almost identical astronomical diagrams compared to our modern-day ones, where drawings represent the orbit of Sirius B around Sirius A, what is baffling is the fact that they actually drew Sirius B with a smaller size and claimed the star itself consists of a material brighter than Iron which they call “Sagla.” How is it possible that with all of this knowledge, today we consider these “facts” as being pure mythological details of the Dogon? When their “mythology” seems to accurately represent what we are just finding out about our universe. Sirius was first seen in 1862, when American astronomer Alvan Clark managed to observe that Sirius was composed of “two” stars with a target of 47 cm in diameter.
How did the ancient Dogon manage to calculate that “Po Tolo” takes around 50 years to orbit around Sirius when modern-day astronomy has calculated with a small degree of error that it actually takes50.040 years. Do you think all of this above is incredible? Well there is more to it actually… The Dogon state that “Emma Ya” is the second companion of Sirius and it even has a smaller satellite that orbits around it. The Dogon call it “Nyan Tolo“,basically translated to as: The Star of the Woman.
Sirius in other cultures and ancient civilizations
This of course is not an isolated event. The Ancient Egyptians also had extensive knowledge about Sirius. In ancient Egypt, Sirius was referred to as Sopdet, and it is recorded in the earliest astronomical records, during the era of the Middle kingdom, the ancient Egyptians based their calendar on the heliacal rising of Sirius. For the Chibchas from modern-day Colombia, the heliacal rising of Sirius marked the beginning of the rain season. Ancient Sumerians also considered Sirius as being very important and they used it to define the timing of the agricultural cycle. Bright stars were important to the ancient Polynesians for navigation between the many islands and atolls of the Pacific Ocean.
For the Māori people of New Zealand, the appearance of Sirius marked the chilly onset of winter. TheMāori people called it Takurua referring to both the season and star. As we can see, there are numeros cultures and ancient civilizations who believed that Sirius was of extreme importance, but the Dogon however had the most accurate details of Sirius. According to the Dogon, all of their knowledge originated from beings that came from “Nyan Tolo” which is the satellite of “Emme Ya” in the Sirius System around 3000 B.C., these beings are referred to as “Nommos” and they arrived to the Dogon in a “RedArk“, as these beings landed, there was fire and smoke, roaring sounds that resembled huge rocks crashing into each other.
"Hey, let's meet at the Bagel Cafe on Broad Street in an hour," you tell your friend, "because I'm really hungry for bagels."
Without realizing it, you just described an event in space-time. Notice how there's minimal gap between the words "space" and "time." That's important. We're used to thinking of "space" as somewhat related to "time," but not intimately connected. If I want to meet you — to get bagels, for example — we need to specify the coordinates on Earth and the coordinates in time. But that's as deep as the connection goes. It's just another description we use to organize meetings or describe events in the past.
About a hundred years ago, even top-tier scientists thought the same way. That was the legacy of living in the worldview of Galileo and Newton: an absolute reference frame against which all else is measured, and a master clock somewhere out there in the cosmos ticking away the universal time. Separately perfect and perfectly separate.
Unfortunately, during the Relativity Revolution, led by figures such as James Clerk Maxwell, Hendrik Lorentz, Henri Poincare and Albert Einstein, the absolute reference frame and the master clock were the first up against the wall (as covered in my previous essay "Everything's Relative: The Discovery of Space-Time").
What was left after the carnage? If all motion is relative, and there are no absolutes, how are we supposed to think about space and time? What's the relationship? It wasn't Einstein who gave the answers, but one of his former professors Hermann Minkowski.
Realizing relativity
Albert may have taught us relativity, but Hermann taught us how to thinkabout relativity.
In the man's own words:
"The views of space and time which I wish to lay before you have sprung from the soil of experimental physics, and therein lies their strength. They are radical. Henceforth space by itself, and time by itself, are doomed to fade away into mere shadows, and only a kind of union of the two will preserve an independent reality."
Wow, gutsy statement. But Minkowski had math and evidence on his side, so he could afford to go all-in. He even admits how whacko his ideas sound, but he's arguing that the results of the Michelson-Morley experiments back him up. Well, I should say the lack of results from the Michelson-Morley experiments. Using the best light-interfering gizmos the 19th century had to offer, they failed to find any evidence for a changing speed of light as the Earth moved through its orbit. Hence, no evidence for an aether, and no absolute reference frame or a master clock. Minkowski: 1. Haters: 0.

So here we are. No time for space and no space for time. We simply can'tthink of them as independent concepts. There can be only one: space-time . The framework developed by Minkowski solidified the concepts developed by Einstein and put them in a nice, tidy little package, where time and space are on equal footing, as I explain in this video.
Which watch to watch?
And by equal, I really mean equal, and that equality lets us interpret all the strange shenanigans of Einstein's Special Relativity. Here's an example: time dilation. You may have heard the phrase "moving clocks run slow." If you've never heard the phrase before, well, you have now, so we can proceed.
Let's pretend you have a twin. If you really do have a twin, great, you can perform this experiment in real life. Shove your twin into the nearest interstellar spaceship. If you don't have one handy, ask Elon.Tell your twin to rocket off to some distant star at close to the speed of light, then return.
Off your twin goes. The bit of light representing your twin's fantastic adventures grows smaller and smaller, receding into the blackness of space. You live your life, bored, lonely and wishing you had reversed roles in this experiment. Time passes. Years. Decades. You're gray, wrinkled in places you never knew you had, and have managed to grow a crop of grandkids.
One night, your twin's speck of light returns to the night sky, grows brighter, then flames into Earth's atmosphere. The capsule opens, and out walks your twin. Your…surprisingly youthful twin. No wrinkles. Not a hint of gray. Looking barely any older than the day your twin left.
Sci-fi? No. Sci-fact. Your twin has made a trade only possible in the world of space-time: a trade between moving in time for moving in space.
Let's back up a bit to see what's going on. When you walk around, you can choose any direction you please. That's kind of the point of walking around. You maintain a constant walking pace but can put that walk into any direction or combination of directions. You can walk straight north, following a compass. Or totally east. Or split 50-50 between north and east. Or mostly north and a little east. Whatever, you pick, it's cool, and you don't even notice.
Your total speed stays the same, but it's split up between two directions, and the more you put in one direction the less you put into another.
It's pretty simple and obvious for space. As it should be for space-time.
Here's a way to think about it that makes it all work: we're all moving through space-time at the same speed. A constant speed. The speed of light. Notice that I said space-time and not just space. Everything is moving through four-dimensional space-time at the same speed, but some things are moving more in space and less in time, and vice versa, as easily as you can move more through north and east, and vice versa.
So what did your twin do? Your twin traded motion in time for motion in space. The faster one moves in a spaceship, the slower one moves through time.
And I don't just mean the perception of time. I mean actual, biological, physical time. Your twin didn't age as much as you simply because of that movement at close to the speed of light.
Moving clocks run slow.
How many clicks to get to the center of the Milky Way?
This means that you can reach the center of the Milky Way galaxy in only a couple dozen years. Yes, you! No, I'm not joking around! You just need to provide a nice constant acceleration — say 1g, the same acceleration you feel from the Earth’s gravity. (Note: this trip may be challenging to engineer, but that’s not my department.) You'll never crack the speed of light, but you'll inch ever closer to it. And the faster you go, the slower time passes for you. Everyone stuck on Earth will be counting the millennia, but in this video I show how you'll get there in only a lifetime. Just don't bother coming back, because…well, everyone you know and love will be long dead.
You can take this thought experiment all the way to the extreme: light itself. A photon — a bit of light — experiences no time at all. Photons do not age. In a blink, a photon can move from one end of the universe to the other. They're moving completely in the spatial dimensions without moving at all in the time dimension. This all hangs together because of another face of relativity. Not only do moving clocks run slow, but distances get shorter the faster you move. That star that looks so far away when you're sitting still? Boost yourself to 90 percent of the speed of light and — hey! — that star isn't so far away anymore. Your twin riding on that spaceship didn't notice any super-slow-mo effects; instead he or she just saw a squished-up universe.
It is how it is
Seems too weird? Too bad. This is the way our universe appears to work. This is the price we have to pay for abandoning a cosmos with a fixed universal reference frame and a master clock. Experimentally verified, over and over, for a hundred years.
We've tested it with super-precise atomic clocks on airplanes. Subatomic particles get extended lifetimes when boosted to incredible velocities. GPS systems need to account for it when giving you accurate positions. Special relativity — and the views of space-time that go along with it — pass every test we can throw at it, and we've thrown a lot.
In a relative universe, clocks run slow, rulers shrink, and space can be traded for time, as easily as turning a corner.

Converging black holes in Virgo constellation
Earlier this year, astronomers discovered what appeared to be a pair of supermassive black holes circling toward a collision so powerful it would send a burst of gravitational waves surging through the fabric of space-time itself.
Now, in a study in the journal Nature, astronomers at Columbia University provide additional evidence that a pair of closely orbiting black holes is causing the rhythmic flashes of light coming from quasar PG 1302-102.
Based on calculations of the pair’s mass–together, and relative to each other–the researchers go on to predict a smashup 100,000 years from now, an impossibly long time to humans but the blink of an eye to a star or black hole. Spiraling together 3.5 billion light-years away, deep in the Virgo constellation, the pair is separated by a mere light-week. By contrast, the closest previously confirmed black hole pair is separated by 20 light-years.
“This is the closest we’ve come to observing two black holes on their way to a massive collision,” said the study’s senior author, Zoltan Haiman, an astronomer at Columbia. “Watching this process reach its culmination can tell us whether black holes and galaxies grow at the same rate, and ultimately test a fundamental property of space-time: its ability to carry vibrations called gravitational waves, produced in the last, most violent, stage of the merger.”
At the center of most giant galaxies, including our own Milky Way, lies a supermassive black hole so dense that not even light can escape. Over time, black holes grow bigger–millions to billions times more massive than the sun–by gobbling up stars, galaxies and even other black holes.
A supermassive black hole about to cannibalize its own can be detected by the mysterious flickering of a quasar–the beacon of light produced by black holes as they burn through gas and dust swirling around them. Normally, quasars brighten and dim randomly, but when two black holes are on the verge of uniting, the quasar appears to flicker at regular intervals, like a light bulb on timer.
Recently, a team led by Matthew Graham, a computational astronomer at the California Institute of Technology, designed an algorithm to pick out repeating light signals from 247,000 quasars monitored by telescopes in Arizona and Australia. Of the 20 pairs of black hole candidates discovered, they focused on the most compelling bright quasar– PG 1302-102. In a January study in Nature, they showed that PG 1302-102 appeared to brighten by 14 percent every five years, indicating the pair was less than a tenth of a light-year apart.
Intrigued, Haiman and his colleagues wondered if they could build a theoretical model to explain the repeating signal. If the black holes were as close as predicted, one had to be circling a much larger counterpart at nearly a tenth of the speed of light, they hypothesized. At that speed, the smaller black hole would appear to brighten as it approached Earth’s line of sight under the relativistic Doppler beaming effect.
If correct, they predicted they would find a five-year cycle in the quasar’s ultraviolet emissions–only two-and-a-half times more variable in its intensity. Analyzing UV observations collected by NASA’s Hubble and GALEX space telescopes they found exactly that.
Previous explanations for the repeating signal include a warp in the debris disks orbiting the black holes, a wobble in the axis of one black hole and a lopsided debris disk formed as one black hole draws material off the other–all creating the impression of a periodic flicker from Earth.
The new study also offers a new technique for investigating other converging black holes, the researchers said. By estimating the combined and relative mass of PG 1302-102’s black holes, they narrow down the pair’s predicted crash time to between 20,000 and 350,000 years from now with a best estimate of 100,000 years. (The predicted crash time by Graham’s team was 10,000 to several million years from now with a best estimate of 250,000 years).
“We can start to put numbers on the rates that black holes come together and build up into larger black holes, and use what we’re learning to search for more black holes pairs,” said study coauthor David Schiminovich, an astronomer at Columbia.
An uptick in the number of black hole binary discoveries has made astronomers hopeful that a collision could be detected in the next decade. This summer, Graham and his colleagues reported another 90 candidates, while astronomers at Columbia expect to soon unveil discoveries of their own from data collected at California’s Palomar Observatory.
With more black holes to watch, the chance of witnessing a crash and the gravitational waves predicted, but not yet detected, by Einstein’s general theory of relativity, grows.
“The detection of gravitational waves lets us probe the secrets of gravity and test Einstein’s theory in the most extreme environment in our universe–black holes,” said the study’s lead author, Daniel D’Orazio, a graduate student at Columbia. “Getting there is a holy grail of our field.”

Dawn team shares new maps and insights about Ceres
Mysteries and insights about Ceres are being discussed this week at the European Planetary Science Conference in Nantes, France. NASA’s Dawn spacecraft is providing scientists with tantalizing views and other data about the intriguing dwarf planet that they continue to analyze.
“Ceres continues to amaze, yet puzzle us, as we examine our multitude of images, spectra and now energetic particle bursts,” said Chris Russell, Dawn principal investigator at the University of California, Los Angeles.
A new color-coded topographic map shows more than a dozen recently approved names for features on Ceres, all eponymous for agricultural spirits, deities and festivals from cultures around the world. These include Jaja, after the Abkhazian harvest goddess, and Ernutet, after the cobra-headed Egyptian harvest goddess. A 12-mile (20-kilometer) diameter mountain near Ceres’ north pole is now called Ysolo Mons, for an Albanian festival that marks the first day of the eggplant harvest.
Another new Ceres map, in false color, enhances compositional differences present on the surface. The variations are more subtle than on Vesta, Dawn’s previous port of call. Color-coded topographic images of Occator (oh-KAH-tor) crater, home of Ceres’ brightest spots, and a puzzling, cone-shaped 6-mile-high (4-kilometer-high) mountain, are also available. Scientists are still trying to identify processes that could produce these and other unique Cerean phenomena.
“The irregular shapes of craters on Ceres are especially interesting, resembling craters we see on Saturn’s icy moon Rhea,” said Carol Raymond, Dawn’s deputy principal investigator based at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California. “They are very different from the bowl-shaped craters on Vesta.”
A surprising bonus observation came from Dawn’s gamma ray and neutron spectrometer. The instrument detected three bursts of energetic electrons that may result from the interaction between Ceres and radiation from the sun. The observation isn’t yet fully understood, but may be important in forming a complete picture of Ceres.
“This is a very unexpected observation for which we are now testing hypotheses,” Russell said.
Dawn is currently orbiting Ceres at an altitude of 915 miles (1,470 kilometers), and the spacecraft will image the entire surface of the dwarf planet up to six times in this phase of the mission. Each imaging cycle takes 11 days.
Starting in October and continuing into December, Dawn will descend to its lowest and final orbit, an altitude of 230 miles (375 kilometers). The spacecraft will continue imaging Ceres and taking other data at higher resolutions than ever before at this last orbit. It will remain operational at least through mid-2016.
Dawn made history as the first mission to reach a dwarf planet, and the first to orbit two distinct extraterrestrial targets, when it arrived at Ceres on March 6, 2015. It conducted extensive observations of Vesta in 2011 and 2012.

Wet paleoclimate of Mars revealed by ancient lakes at Gale Crater
We have heard the Mars exploration mantra for more than a decade: follow the water. In a new paper published October 9, 2015, in the journal Science, the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) team presents recent results of its quest to not just follow the water but to understand where it came from, and how long it lasted on the surface of Mars so long ago.
The story that has unfolded is a wet one: Mars appears to have had a more massive atmosphere billions of years ago than it does today, with an active hydrosphere capable of storing water in long-lived lakes. The MSL team has concluded that this water helped to fill Gale Crater, the MSL rover Curiosity’s landing site, with sediment deposited as layers that formed the foundation for the mountain found in the middle of the crater today.
Curiosity has been exploring Gale Crater, which is estimated to be between 3.8 billion and 3.6 billion years old, since August 2012. In mid-September 2014, the rover reached the foothills of Aeolis Mons, a three-mile-high layered mountain nicknamed “Mount Sharp” in honor of the late Caltech geologist Robert Sharp. Curiosity has been exploring the base of the mountain since then.
“Observations from the rover suggest that a series of long-lived streams and lakes existed at some point between 3.8 billion to 3.3 billion years ago, delivering sediment that slowly built up the lower layers of Mount Sharp,” says Ashwin Vasavada (PhD ’98), MSL project scientist. “However, this series of long-lived lakes is not predicted by existing models of the ancient climate of Mars, which struggle to get temperatures above freezing,” he says.
This mismatch between the predictions of Mars’s ancient climate that arise from models developed by paleoclimatologists and indications of the planet’s watery past, as interpreted by geologists, bears similarities to a century-old scientific conundrum–in this case, about Earth’s ancient past.
At the time, geologists first began to recognize that the shapes of the continents matched each other, almost like scattered puzzle pieces, explains John Grotzinger, Caltech’s Fletcher Jones Professor of Geology, chair of the Division of Planetary and Geological Sciences, and lead author of the paper. “Aside from the shapes of the continents, geologists had paleontological evidence that fossil plants and animals in Africa and South America were closely related, as well as unique volcanic rocks suggestive of a common spatial origin. The problem was that the broad community of earth scientists could not come up with a physical mechanism to explain how the continents could plow their way through Earth’s mantle and drift apart. It seemed impossible. The missing component was plate tectonics,” he says. “In a possibly similar way, we are missing something important about Mars.”
As Curiosity has trekked across Gale Crater, it has stopped to examine numerous areas of interest. All targets are imaged, and soil samples have been scooped from some; the rocks in a select few places have been drilled for samples. These samples are deposited into the rover’s onboard laboratories. Using data from these instruments, as well as visual imaging from the onboard cameras and spectroscopic analyses, MSL scientists have pieced together an increasingly coherent and compelling story about the evolution of this region of Mars.
Before Curiosity landed on Mars, scientists proposed that Gale Crater had filled with layers of sediments. Some hypotheses were “dry,” implying that the sediments accumulated from wind-blown dust and sand, whereas others focused on the possibility that sediment layers were deposited in ancient streams and lakes. The latest results from Curiosity indicate that these wetter scenarios were correct for the lower portions of Mount Sharp. Based on the new analysis, the filling of at least the bottom layers of the mountain occurred mostly by ancient rivers and lakes.
“During the traverse of Gale, we have noticed patterns in the geology where we saw evidence of ancient fast-moving streams with coarser gravel as well as places where streams appear to have emptied out into bodies of standing water,” Vasavada says. “The prediction was that we should start seeing water-deposited, fine-grained rocks closer to Mount Sharp. Now that we’ve arrived, we’re seeing finely laminated mudstones in abundance.” These silty layers in the strata are interpreted as ancient lake deposits.
“These finely laminated mudstones are very similar to those we see on Earth,” says Woody Fischer, professor of geobiology at Caltech and coauthor of the paper. “The scale of lamination–which occurs both at millimeter and centimeter scale–represents the settling of plumes of fine sediment through a standing body of water. This is exactly what we see in rocks that represent ancient lakes on Earth. “The mudstone indicates the presence of bodies of standing water in the form of lakes that remained for long periods of time, possibly repeatedly expanding and contracting during hundreds to millions of years. These lakes deposited the sediment that eventually formed the lower portion of the mountain.
“Paradoxically, where there is a mountain today there was once a basin, and it was sometimes filled with water,” says Grotzinger. “Curiosity has measured about 75 meters of sedimentary fill, but based on mapping data from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and images from Curiosity’s cameras, it appears that the water-transported sedimentary deposition could have extended at least 150-200 meters above the crater floor, and this equates to a duration of millions of years in which lakes could have been intermittently present within the Gale Crater basin” Grotzinger says. Furthermore, the total thickness of sedimentary deposits in Gale Crater that indicate interaction with water could extend higher still–up to perhaps 800 meters above the crater floor, and possibly representing tens of millions of years.
But layers deposited above that level do not require water as an agent of deposition or alteration. “Above 800 meters, Mount Sharp shows no evidence of hydrated strata, and that is the bulk of what forms Mount Sharp. We see another 4,000 meters of nothing but dry strata,” Grotzinger says. He suggests that perhaps this segment of the crater’s history may have been dominated by eolian, or wind-driven, deposition, as was once imagined for the lower part explored by Curiosity. This occurred after the wet period that built up the base of the mountain.
A lingering question surrounds the original source of the water that carried sediment into the crater. For flowing water to have existed on the surface, Mars must have had a thicker atmosphere and warmer climate than has been theorized for the time frame bookending the intense geological activity in Gale Crater. Evidence for this ancient, wetter climate exists in the rock record. However, current models of this paleoclimate–factoring in estimates of the early atmosphere’s mass, composition, and the amount of energy it received from the sun–come up, quite literally, dry. Those models indicate that the atmosphere of Mars could not have sustained large quantities of liquid water.
Yet the rock record discovered at Gale Crater suggests a different scenario. “Whether it was snowfall or rain, you have geologic evidence for that moisture accumulating in the highlands of the Gale Crater rim,” Grotzinger says. In the case of Gale Crater, at least some of the water was supplied by the highlands that form the crater rim, but groundwater discharge–a standard explanation to reconcile wet geologic observations with dry paleoclimatic predictions–is unlikely in this area. “Right on the other side of Gale’s northern rim are the Northern Plains. Some have made the argument that there was a northern ocean sitting out there, and that’s one way to get the moisture that you need to match what we are seeing in the rocks.” Pinpointing the possible location of an ocean, however, does not help to explain how that water managed to exist as a liquid for extended periods of time on the surface.
As climatologists try to develop new atmospheric models, help should be coming from the continuing explorations by Curiosity. “There are still many kilometers of Mars history to explore,” says Fischer. He thinks that some of the most exciting data yet may come in the next few years as Curiosity climbs higher on Mount Sharp. “The strata will reveal Gale’s early history, its story. We know there are rocks that were deposited underwater, in the lake. What is the chemistry of these rocks? That lake represented an interface between the water and the atmosphere, and should tell us important things about the environment of the time.”
“We have tended to think of Mars as being simple,” adds Grotzinger. “We once thought of the earth as being simple, too. But the more you look into it, questions come up because you’re beginning to fathom the real complexity of what we see on Mars. This is a good time to go back to reevaluate all our assumptions. Something is missing somewhere.”

Pyramids Prove Alien Visitation.
The world’s best-known pyramid at Giza is just outside Cairo, Egypt. The Great Pyramid is the large one on the right and the others were built later.
There are hundreds of pyramids worldwide in virtually every continent and many at the bottom of the ocean underwater indicating their great age. Most are made of various types of rock, such as granite that is often mined hundreds of miles away. They are huge magnificent structures thousands of years old that are generally claimed to be 3,000 to 25,000 years old. All over the world, later rulers copied the older pyramids. Some of the ancient pyramids often still have energy emitting from them and are thought to be power stations. Many are built on an exact North South axis and advanced technological knowledge in building them.
Dr. Sam Osmanagich Ph.D. director of Center for Anthropology and Archaeology at the American University in Bosnia has authored 11 books about ancient civilizations. He claims many Pyramids are 10,000 to 25,000 years old and built well before humankind was sophisticated, or had agriculture, or cities. The question is did ancient civilizations build them or are ancient aliens responsible for a worldwide pyramid construction system?
The oldest Chinese and Egyptian pyramids are much superior to those made later. Older pyramids are built from granite and sandstone blocks, more recent ones are much smaller built from bricks and mud. Traces of more advanced beings who were likely alien are everywhere around us. In the meantime, mainstream scientists try to fit those monuments into their time coordinates. Hundreds of pyramids are being found all over the Earth including those under the sea like the three found off the coast of Florida. It is apparent that ancient aliens or an ancient previous sophisticated civilization existed on Earth as depicted in ancient texts.
I visited the Cheops pyramid at Giza, Egypt that is 476 feet high, with a base 764 feet, and covers thirteen acres. It is the largest structure, in Egypt. The polished limestone facings (now removed) covered 22 acres an area equal to seven city blocks. My copilot who was an engineer doubted we could produce it today, since it is still larger than modern skyscrapers such New York’s Empire State Building that has about 2/5 the volume of the pyramid. It comprises 2,300,000 blocks, totaling 6,250,000 tons. The “King’s Chamber” in the center of the pyramid is surrounded by granite slabs weighting 60 to 70 tons each, brought from a quarry 600 miles away. Without the wheel, or cutting tools, how did they cut and bring these huge granite rocks the size of your living room 600 miles? These huge blocks are fit together perfectly and my credit card would not slide between them. It is the world’s most accurately aligned building to true north.
Archaeologist Jonathan Gray writes, “The pyramid is level over an area of 13 acres to within half an inch and is perfectly square to within 3/10,000 percent. If you broke the Great pyramid at Giza into slabs a 6cm thick rod that would reach a quarter of the way to the moon. Great Pyramid is around 4,600 years old and allegedly built by Pharaoh Khufu. It includes 2.3 million limestone blocks and weighs 5.9 million tones.”
He states, “According to Herodotus, 100,000 people built Khufu’s Great Pyramid – more than the population of any city at the time. Science tells us humans were not sophisticated, slightly above cave men in ancient times. Originally, this pyramid had a beautiful covering of glistening white marble (polished to a mirror like finish) and could he seen for 50 miles, reflecting the light. It was capped by a golden point or ball that shot shafts of light back at the sun. It incorporates the mathematical value known as pi (the constant by which the diameter of a circle may be multiplied to calculate its circumference and it does so accurately to several decimal places. Its main chamber made use of several Pythagorean functions not “discovered” supposedly until thousands of years later.”
It is so finely aligned to the North Pole that modern compasses can be adjusted to it. The measurements of its sides and angles accurately reflect the geographic measurements of the northern hemisphere, such as the degree of latitude and longitude, the circumference and radius of the earth, even accounting for polar flattening. In the International Geophysical Year in 1958, the exact dimensions of the earth were determined by satellite, and the French meter—which is our own standard system of measurement, supposedly based on the dimensions of the earth—was found to be incorrect. However, more amazingly, the Egyptian cubit—the unit of measurement used in the pyramid—was found to be exact. What is the function of copper pipes in the ventilation openings? Why is the “King’s Chamber” damaged when the rest of the pyramid is intact? Where do frequencies of 640 cycles per second in the “King’s Chamber” come from?
Christopher Dunn answered all these mysteries. He claims that the Great Pyramid was built as an electric power station! His conclusions go in this order: …granite contains a high percentage of quartz (approximately 55 percent). Quartz has a natural ability to transform kinetic energy into electricity. ‘King’s Chamber’ is the heart of a massive power generator. The Great Pyramid is designed to vibrate. What is called the ‘Queen’s Chamber’ is, in fact, the hydrogen generator. The room was once equipped as a cooling tower. Inside were the chemicals—hydrated zinc chloride and hydrochlor-acid, and they were inducted into the room through the northern and southern vent. The reaction of these two chemicals creates hydrogen.
Evidence for this process lies in two different colors of vent openings and remains of the salt on the walls of ‘The Queen’s Chamber.’ The excess of chemicals is drained through the ‘well hole’ into an underground room deep beneath the pyramid. Hydrogen gas filled the Great Gallery and the ‘King’s Chamber.’ Then resonators in the large gallery start acting. The entire building [the pyramid] starts to vibrate and converts [its vibration] into an audible signal. The pyramid starts to ‘sing.’ The tone is moved through the tunnel towards [the] ‘King’s Chamber.’ Now this ‘Chamber’ begins to vibrate. Movable granite causes stress in quartz. The movement of electrons generates Piezo-electric effect. The electricity is then produced.
At this moment, Egyptian astronomical knowledge comes into play. The north opening of the ‘King’s Chamber’ opens and becomes a conduit for the microwave signals that bombard our planet all the time. This signal is created by atomic hydrogen. It is being amplified (increased) when passing through the pyramid. This leads to emission of energy…that is sent outside of the pyramid as electro-energy….
Small details, such as copper tubes, are now explained that analysis indicates the copper came from Northern Michigan. Used as sensors, for checking whether enough chemical elements were added to the “Queen’s Chamber,” they make sense. The odor in the pyramid is a consequence of the same.

A part of the filming also included a demonstration of the creation of hydrogen using the chemicals described in “The Giza Power Plant” book. Let us remember the idea of Tesla’s wireless transmission of electricity and his successful experiments more than 100 years ago in Colorado. He was able to light 10,000 houses without any cables, creating energy beams with the help of the Earth’s vibrations into households and factories. Tesla proved that wireless transmission of electricity is possible. There is evidence the builders of the Pyramids attempted to gather both electrical energy and produce hydrogen.
Cosmic radiation inside the pyramid contradicts every known law of science and electronics—it implies an advanced knowledge of electromagnetic forces. An energy field radiates from the apex, which was likely used by advanced craft (UFOs). The mass of evidence suggests that the major pyramids were power plants. The pyramids are as strong today as when they were built. Scientists have conceded that modern man cannot build a great pyramid that would retain its shape for thousands of years without sagging under its own weight.
Above is a model of the upper section of the Queen’s Chamber Southern Shaft with the fluid switch installed. The model was completed in time for an Ancient Alien interview and demonstration on March 11, 2012. Everything worked as expected. Several takes were made of water flowing into the shaft the in order to cover the end of the pins, thereby closing the circuit and turning on the light.
The dimensions of the model, except for the length of the shaft, are the same as the Southern Shaft in the “Queen’s Chamber” in the Great Pyramid. Plexiglas was used to allow for a clear view of all the elements of the assembly of “Gantenbrink’s door.” The notch in the bottom right hand corner of the “door” was included as well as a small gap underneath. A part of the filming also included a demonstration of the creation of hydrogen using the chemicals described in The Giza Power Plant. Using crawling robots electrical electrode pins have been found in various small shafts in the pyramid. Remnants of electrical cables have been found. The pins were made so that they could be removed easily and another one put in its place. Mexico
The pyramids of the Moon and Sun in Mexico were not just burial chambers, but appear to be parking places for flying craft. Why , because if these crafts were anti-magnetic than they couldn’t ‘ park ‘ on the ground for fear of ‘ shorting out ‘ when they came in contact with the Earth’s magnetic surface. It has even been said that there were ‘ posts ‘ seen of the runways at Groom Lake where anti-magnetic craft were said to ‘ dock ‘ while not in flight. As for the Great Pyramids in Egypt, they were once covered in a shiny coating of probably limestone to smooth the surface for the final layer. Mica was found in and around the areas of the pyramid of the Sun and Moon in Mexico.
Bosnia
Twenty miles northwest from Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dr. Osmanagich his attention was caught by two regularly shaped hills, which he later named the Bosnian Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. For thousands of years locals have considered those hills to be natural phenomena because they were covered by soil and vegetation. However, when he first saw their triangular faces, obvious corners and orientation toward the cardinal points, he knew that they had to be constructed by a force other than nature. He states,” Since I had been investigating pyramids for decades I knew that the pyramids found in China, Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador had the same type of soil and vegetation coverage.”
A team of physicists detected an energy beam coming through the top of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun. The radius of the beam is 4.5 meters with a frequency of 28 kHz. The beam is continuous and its strength grows as it moves up and away from the pyramid. This phenomenon contradicts the known laws of physics and technology. This discovery is historic and changes the early history of Europe since these are the first pyramids discovered in Europe, and is the largest pyramid structure in the world at 220 meters is much higher than the Great Pyramid of Egypt (147 meters). It has precise orientation towards cosmic north and the soil covering the pyramid is 12,000 years old. There is an extensive underground tunnel network, which runs for more than ten miles.
The Bosnian Pyramids contain high quality man-made concrete five times stronger than today’s concrete. (shown at left) Evidence of concrete being used in pyramid construction is shown by the work of Professor Michel Barsoum, Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Drexel University, who has found scientific evidence that parts of the Great Pyramids of Giza were built using an early form of concrete.

PYRAMIDS IN ITALY
We have also learned of pyramids discovered near the town of Montevecchia (40 kilometers from Milan), in Italy. The discovery was initially made by satellite. These are the first pyramids ever discovered in Italy. Their dimensions are quite impressive. The highest pyramid is 150 meters tall. They are stone buildings, as recent excavations have proved. However, they are now completely covered by ground and vegetation, so that they now look like hills. The inclination degree of all the three pyramids is 42/43° and their alignment is very similar to that of the Egyptian pyramids. Their age is still undefined although they are surely older than 3,000 years. Nothing was found nearby which might help to date the structures.

When pyramids are mentioned most people think of Egypt where there are actually 118 pyramids however China has more. The original pyramids were lit up in a Times Square- like fashion. The tallest building in the world until this century (and still the most massive structure on earth is an ancient Chinese pyramid. To see this, we would need to go to China, to the northwestern province of Shaanxi (Shensi). About 2,000 feet at the base, it rises (according to one estimate) some 1,200 feet high. The four faces of the pyramids are aligned to the compass points. Traces of color remain on the sides, indicating the colors that were given to each side: east—aqua green; south—red; west—black; north—white; and on the flat tops—traces of yellow.
The largest has a volume 20 times as large as the Great Pyramid at Giza, Egypt. “The sides are now partially covered with trees and shrubbage,” they reported.” This part of China was the heart of the ancient Chinese Empire and the emperors claimed to be sons of the alien visitors... The area was sparsely populated in ancient times, so who built the pyramids carrying millions of tons of rock and soil.The builders of hundreds of pyramids are thought to have been blonde, blue eyed, light-skinned called Nordic aliens whose bodies are often found mummified nearby.
“In a mysterious pyramid in China’s Qinghai Province near Mount Baigong are three caves filled with pipes leading to a nearby salt-water lake. There are also pipes under the lakebed and on the shore. The iron pipes range in size, with some smaller than a toothpick. Dating done by the Beijing Institute of Geology determined these iron pipes were smelted about 150,000 years ago.
If humans made them, who we are told were cave dwellers, history as it is commonly viewed would have to be reevaluated. The dating was done using thermoluminescence, a technique that determines how long ago crystalline mineral was exposed to sunlight or heated. The state-run news agency Xinhua in China reported on the pyramid, the pipes, and the research began by a team scientists sent to investigate in 2002. Obviously, the cave dwellers were unlikely to build pyramids or iron pipes.
It is possible that ancient extraterrestrials may be responsible since their craft would need refueling. The pipes lead into a salty lake, though a twin lake nearby contains freshwater. The publicity department at the local Delingha government told Xinhua the pipes were analyzed at a local smelter and 8 percent of the material could not be identified. The rest was made up of ferric oxide, silicon dioxide, and calcium oxide. The silicon dioxide and calcium oxide are products of long interaction between the iron and surrounding sandstone, showing the ancient age of the pipes. ELECTROLYSIS OF SALT WATER
Most of Earth’s water (97%) is in the ocean. Seawater has unique properties: it is saline, its freezing point is slightly lower than fresh water, its density is slightly higher, and its electrical conductivity is much higher. Water is comprised of two elements hydrogen (H) and oxygen (O). Distilled water is pure and free of salts; thus, it is a very poor conductor of electricity. By adding ordinary table salt (NaCl) to distilled water, it becomes an electrolyte solution, able to conduct electricity.

Global sea level rose by a total of more than 120 meters (394 feet) as the vast ice sheets of the last Ice Age melted back. This melt-back lasted from about 19,000 to about 6,000 years ago, meaning that the average rate of sea-level rise was roughly 1 meter per century. This melting flooded many pyramids and structures around the world in coastal areas giving a strong indication of the age of some of the older pyramids.

The researchers brought together about 400 high-quality sea-level markers from study sites around the globe, using an extensive series of sophisticated statistical tests, they then reconstructed sea-level history of the last 21 thousand years with a high degree of statistical confidence. Paleolithic Age, which is the first phase of Prehistory, covers the longest period of time among all levels of civilizations. In this period, human evolved from ape-like creatures into Homo sapiens, which allegedly was the last phase in human evolution. What makes Paleolithic Age different from Geological times is that the use of natural or man-made tools and weapons. The end of Paleolithic period is about 10,000 years ago. We have huge pyramids being built around the world when allegedly only small numbers of primitive humans existed who did not have the technology or capability to build the structures. The timeline may be in great error or aliens came to build these structures.
Mars
On Mars, there are similar structures and pyramids that scientists claim are much older than those on Earth.
Assuming ancient Martians built them they might have traveled to Earth and provided the technology. Genesis and other ancient texts provide evidence of visitation by off planet visitors. Dozens of high-ranking people have admitted we have visitors from other worlds.
UFOs
After capturing UFOs, we had great difficulty reverse engineering the craft because the material similar to zinc and bismuth was not made on this Earth. The craft operate with a Negative Force Generating System or anti-gravity or like Dark Energy. It’s thought UFOs can create an Alcubierre Warp Drive, which can move an Interstellar Spaceship many times faster than the speed of light. The electrical system works on a vacuum vacated energy principle that produces virtually unlimited power. A spacecraft would traverse distances by contracting space in front of it and expanding space behind it, resulting in effective faster-than-light travel. .Apparently, hydrogen H 5 is one of the isotopes used for an energy source in the UFOs. The process of splitting water (H2O) into its atomic components (hydrogen and oxygen) using electricity is known as electrolysis. Water would be broken down to produce oxygen for breathing in space. It is thought unlikely early cave dwellers knew how or needed to accomplish electrolysis. We are learning pyramids were built in ancient times to produce electrical energy, and to produce a type of hydrogen for energy. It is logical to assume pyramids are evidence of extraterrestrial visitation.

California Strange Lights
Camarillo – My friend was shooting the Blood Moon on September 28, 2015, and in review, she came across this object.
In the pictures, it moves closer and further from the Moon that seems to be reflecting upon it.
Is it a camera glitch? That is for your team to decide. I saw some postings on YouTube about this event as well.

Bakersfield – On October 16, 2015, my neighbor was yelling my name in a panic, so I ran outside. I was in shock to see hundreds of moving bright bluish white lights spread over the entire sky.
The spread at least 40-50 city blocks long slowly moving as a whole. I ran and got my wife and kids. The neighbors came out to look up in shock. We all just watched in disbelief as they moved away and got higher and were finally gone. The photo is just a quarter of what we all saw. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Florida Strange Lights
Daytona Beach — Staying at the Mayan Inn for the Labor Day weekend on September 6, 2015, I went out onto the balcony and took two pictures of the sunrise.
I did not see the object.
Therefore, the object was not visible to me. The next day, I noticed on the one picture something different and when I enlarged my picture.

Georgia Lights
Augusta — My wife and I were traveling east on I-20 and at around the I-520 exit saw sparkling lights to the north on October 16, 2015. We observed the object appeared to become two sparkling lights. We pulled into the River Watch Parkway exit for a closer observation with 20 other vehicles. We took one picture, as the objects were farther off in the distance. Illinois Lights
Chicago– I was on a red eye flight from San Francisco to Newark, NJ over Lake Michigan on October 8, 2015.
I took a picture of Chicago and five minutes later, I was looking down over Lake Michigan into the dark and saw this light. It was very bright, too bright to be a city. It looked like a glowing cloud. I knew I saw something out of the ordinary as my plane flew out of view. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Missouri Lights
Chesterfield – I was walking a trail and noticed five objects hovering in the same spot on October 19, 2015.
I watched as they stayed in the same formation for about 40 minutes.
Then one at a time at a normal speed, they flew west and disappeared in the horizon.

Las Vegas — I took this picture during a visit to the Hoover Dam in February of 2015.
I had not noticed the four objects flying in a straight line until after I got home.

Englishtown — Taking my eleven-year-old daughter to school at 7 am on October 14, 2015, I see this humongous metal black cigar shaped UFO just sitting there. I asked her, “Do you see that? She said no and ran into school. I signed her in and told the supervisor, “There is a 1000 feet long UFO outside!”and what a look I got. Back outside it still is there in the same spot so I run to my car and grab the phone. It just disappears in a hole the clouds. I am disappointed but I have seen many UFO’s in my life and had alien contact as a kid. I dreamed ET froze my entire family at a party and they took me for a trip. Picture is just for size relevance. Dayton – On September 13, 2015, I saw a red light moving slowly in an up, down and side-to-side motion.

Clarian — I was on my way to the gym with my girlfriend on September 17, 2015. We saw what looked like red stars moving up in the sky and changing positions. At one point in the sky, they would disappear.

Jasper – On October 15, 2015, we were having dinner at a local restaurant. Cannot really give a detailed description, as I did not see this with my naked eye. Washington Lights
Seattle — We were staying at a motel in Edmonds for the night and I am an avid sky watcher. I was looking west and noticed a bright array of lights coming in over the Puget Sound on March 12, 2015.
I quickly grabbed my Sony Camcorder which I take everywhere and started shooting.
The object was headed east and turned towards me heading south. I zoomed in and it turned again towards the west and disappeared.
All the while, I listened for an engine and there was none.

Worldwide UFO Reports
Australia Light
Yandaran, Queensland — It was around 8-9 PM, and the object made the stars appeared dull. I was outside in my backyard and I was looking at the stars on October 4, 2015. I looked at the sky again and saw a bright orb like thing in the sky and it was very bright compared to the other stars. It was too big to be a plane or star. It noticed that it was slowly moving. At this point, I was really freaked out and a dull static noise began to grow in my ears. It was getting to the point where I looked away and rubbed my ears to soothe them (due to my autism and sensitive hearing). After the static died down in 20 seconds, I looked back up at the sky and the orb was on the other side of my peripheral vision. I ended up getting really spooked, so I ran back inside. Canada UFO
Sudbury Ontario — The Sighting took place on October 7, 2015, at 9:10 PM, as I parked at the Homesenc lot and a brightly illuminated object stood out from the background. This was no plane or star.
I proceeded to take a picture with my cell phone (s4 Samsung android) because it was odd that after 10 minutes passed, the object was silent and stationary at high altitude. The uploaded picture had a distinct outline or solid shape with illuminating lights with a twinkling x pattern. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Berlin — The ufo flew quickly and silent zigzags until it was in the air, and the then suddenly came down to the ground on October 3, 2015
After about 30 minutes, it flew very quickly into the sky and was gone.

Tehran— On October 19, 2015, at 23:30 hours we arrived home and saw several flashing star like dots aligned in an exact line. I knew there is no such constellation and saw a non-glowing object at the beginning of the alignment line. I counted eleven flashing bluefish lights following the jet-like object with one red flashing light. I grabbed my camera and tried to capture them. When you zoom in it, is actually two triangles forming a lung shape? It looked like military UAV. In the best picture, one of them is a rectangular shaped red-green flashing thing. United Kingdom/England Light
Peasdown, St John, Bath – On October 8, 2015, I took a video above Peasedown at 5 PM.
My friend also witnessed the orb.
Initially its lights in the sky, but on slowing the video down I noticed black objects as well not seen by us when filming.
Glasgow – I went out for a cigarette at 6.30 am (GMT) on October 14, 2015, and this object was just sitting there in the sky to the east.
Although it was glowing like a star, I knew it was too big. The other stars were tiny in comparison and you cannot even see them in the picture. I sat and watched it for 10 minutes and it did not seem to move. It wasn’t until I looked at the picture this morning and zoomed in; I notice that it is spherical.
I took a picture at 9.00 am, but this is not the sun (it was southeast) but it actually looked like the sky had two suns for a bit, and like the sun, it hurt my eyes to look at it.

Astronaut Gordon Cooper Spotted UFOs
Edwards Air Force Base, California — In 1957, Gordon Cooper was one of an elite band of test pilots at Edwards Air Force Base in California, in charge of several advanced projects, including the installation of a precision landing system.
“I had a camera crew filming the installation when they spotted a saucer. They filmed it as it flew overhead, then hovered, extended three legs as landing gear, and slowly came down to land on a dry lake bed! These guys were all pro cameramen, so the picture quality was very good.”The camera crew managed to get within 20 or 30 yards of it, filming all the time. It was a classic saucer, shiny silver and smooth, about 30 feet across. It was clear it was an alien craft. “As they approached closer it took off.”
When his camera crew handed over the film, Cooper followed standard procedure and contacted Washington to report the UFO and “all heck broke loose,” he said. “After a while a high-ranking officer said when the film was developed I was to put it in a pouch and send it to Washington.”He didn’t say anything about me not looking at the film. That’s what I did when it came back from the lab and it was all there just like the camera crew reported.”
When the Air Force later started Operation Blue Book to collate UFO evidence and reports, Cooper says he mentioned the film evidence. “But the film was never found supposedly. Blue Book was strictly a cover-up anyway.” Cooper revealed he is convinced an alien craft crashed at Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947 and aliens were discovered in the wreckage. “I had a good friend at Roswell, a fellow officer. He had to be careful about what he said. However, it sure was not a weather balloon, like the Air Force cover story. He made it clear to me what crashed was a craft of alien origin, and members of the crew were recovered.” Why has the government kept its UFO secrets for so many years? “It started in World War 2, when the government didn’t want people to know about UFO reports in case they panicked,” said Cooper. “They would have been fearful it was superior enemy technology that we had no defense against.”Then it got worse in the Cold War for the same reason.

A couple of years ago, Dr. Edgar Mitchell and I had a conversation after we spoke at the Disclosure Project in Washington DC. He indicated as I do that some type of intelligence visits us from space. I asked Edgar, what he thought was the real secret to all of this concerning UFOs? He said, “The answers are all in the Dead Sea Scrolls.” I said, “You mean like the Sons of Light and Darkness?” He said, “Yes, but even now; not all of these scrolls have been revealed.” I searched the scrolls myself later to find some meaning. The text of the “War of the Sons of Light and Sons of Darkness” describes an invisible war where two sides are in an apocalyptic battle for Earth. The angels and humankind are described as being part of the fight.
“Warrior angels are in our muster, and He that is mighty in War is in our throng. The army of His spirits marches beside us. Our horsemen come like clouds or like banks of dew, to cover the earth, or like torrential showers, to rain judgment on all that grows in it. Opposing the good forces are the forces of darkness. MSgt. Harry Cooper was asked to print up a copy of report for Colonel Paul Hemlick concerning a crashed saucer near Holloman Air Force Base. An oval object had been discovered on White Sands. The report told of an ancient Hebrew Torah Bible found inside the craft. Allegedly, the writing was much older than Genesis that tells of alien visitors.
The Jewish Virtual Llibrary.org states: Genesis 6:1–2 relates that the Nephilim “sons of gods,” i.e., divine or angelic beings, took mortal wives; verse 4 continues, “It was then, and later too, that the Nephilim appeared [lit., were] on earth–when the divine beings cohabited with the daughters of men, who bore them offspring. They were the heroes [Heb. gibborim] of old, the men of renown.”
The New American Bible commentary draws a parallel to the Epistle of Jude and the statements set forth in Genesis, suggesting that the Epistle refers implicitly to the paternity of Nephilim as heavenly beings who came to earth and had sexual intercourse with women.
Orthodox Judaism has taken a stance against the idea that Genesis 6 refers to angels or that angels could intermarry with men.
The story of the Nephilim is further elaborated in the Book of Enoch. The Greek, Aramaic, and main Ge’ez manuscripts of 1 Enoch and Jubilees obtained in the 19th century and held in the British Museum andVatican Library, connect the origin of the Nephilim with the fallen angels, and in particular with theegrḗgoroi (watchers). Samyaza, an angel of high rank, is described as leading a rebel sect of angels in a descent to earth to have sexual intercourse with human females.
In addition to Enoch, the Book of Jubilees (7:21–25) also states that ridding the Earth of these Nephilim was one of God’s purposes for flooding the Earth in Noah’s time. These works describe

The Unger Bible Dictionary states, “The Bible and Torah are filled with references to clouds, angels, pillars of clouds or pillars of fire. Cloud: The allusions to clouds in Scripture, as well as their use in symbolical language, can only be understood when we remember the climate, where there is hardly a trace of cloud from May to the end of September. During this season clouds so seldom appear and rains so seldom fail as to seem phenomenal, as was the case with the harvest rain.”
Clouds are referred to as showing the power and wisdom of God in their formation. Psalms 135.6. They are called the clouds of heaven. (Dan 7-12) windows above (Isa 24:18) Figuratively the clouds are symbols of armies. They are used to signify God’s presence. Birds were virtually the only objects in the sky, therefore anything that was not a bird was a cloud. It is my personal feeling that cloud is another name for UFOs. the Angel Scroll
The Angel Scroll reveals that in the end times all of Darkness is to be destroyed and Light will live in peace for all eternity.It seems possible that some ETs are selfish colonists or have evil intent and dwell on the dark side. These evil ones appear to have capabilities far beyond our understanding or technology. Thus far, they have not chosen to destroy us, but there are indications they find particularly human females attractive and are trying to create half-human and half ET hybrids.
The Light side appears concerned and genuinely tries to help humans. For example, they may bring advanced technology with great benefits to humans. And some ETs may have Earth’s human interests in mind, with love and compassion. It may be one heck of a complicated game going on since humanity began. In October 1999, another “lost” Dead Sea Scroll was unearthed that has the possibility of setting off another theological firestorm. If the “Angel Scroll” is proven authentic, Jews and Christians will be presented with a new understanding of how the ancient Israelites viewed God, the angels, and humanity’s place in the universe.
According to researcher Barry Chamish, “The Angel Scroll” (shown) is 1000 thousand lines long and had been taken by Benedictine monks to their German monastery in 1970. In 1977, one of the group, Father Gustav Mateus, died and bequeathed his photographs and transcriptions of the scroll to an unnamed Jerusalem college administrator, who, in turn, handed the material over to Stephan Phann, a member of the team of scholars translating the scrolls held by the Israeli government. Subsequently, Phann’s findings were published in the newsmagazine The Jerusalem Report.
In presenting the information, Phann admitted that some scholars were skeptical, but that most experts were in agreement that the text of “The Angel Scroll,” in his words “felt” genuine. The bits of the scroll that were released for the public’s examination deal with “divine chariot-throne themes with elaborate details of angels ascending heaven’s multiple gates.”
Such references may be of great interest to those who take a literal view of the biblical accounts reporting encounters with extraterrestrials/angels. An Israeli Ufologist, who is also a student of “Kabala,” Jewish mystical practices, Mordechai Spasser cautioned researchers about taking the “UFO viewpoint with more study.” Spasser stated that from what he had read, the scrolls appear to be referring to the“astral plane,” and other aspects of Jewish mysticism.
Writer Chamish, however, quotes a number of passages from “The Angel Scroll,” and follows them with his literal interpretation. Here is one, describing a visionary’s [or UFO contactee’s] “heavenward visit above the high places of the clouds” with anangel:
“According to the plan of that day, the Voice went forth to me and directed me and he drove me by the Spirit. And a vision was revealed to me from the Most High, and [the] Prince of Angels lifted me up in the Spirit and I ascended heavenward above the high places of the clouds and be showed me the great world and the image of the gods. And I pondered the appearance roundabout and there was no time and no place and their appearance from the dwelling places of light was like a rainbow in the clouds. And they had no bodies and no bodily structure and the dominion of darkness was over all of the earth round about.”
Chamish concludes that this is an accurate description of a trip in a Space Shuttle:
“First the traveler passes above cloud level…Then he sees the earth from space and it is surrounded by darkness. He is shown ‘images of the gods’ and their homes on a control monitor and marvels at the fine color quality and at the bizarre fact that there is no firmament to the images on the screen.”

Italy Two Aliens Meet With Italians
UFO Sighting News reports there is an entrance to alien base at Rocca Pia, Italy.
Allegedly, two aliens met with Italians and allowed their photos to be taken. Aliens gave a message of hope and friendship. This is Kenio who through some analysis on the photo was established that this “fellow” is over 2.4 meters tall. (Over 8 feet tall)..
Oh, I forgot…he is an alien of the W56 group, also known as the Akrij.
It had been kept secret for half a century, but only just recently came to light after the death of one the men involved (Bruno Sammaciccia had asked for it to be kept secret until after his death).
In Pescara, during the 50s to 70s, a group of extraterrestrials had contacted a number of unsuspecting people directly. This project was called ‘Amicizia.’ These men would be brought to their (etheric) ‘bases’ located on earth and apparently on board the UFOs.
The people involved were of high social and cultural status, among them was the notable Console Alberto Perego. This is a collection of testimonials from them, which also shows excellent quality footage and photography of the phenomena, as well as apparent ‘messages’ (of love and goodwill) given to us from these beings.
This may just be coincidence, but Robert “Bob” Lazar, a scientist who worked on a flying saucer in Area S4 had once stated that the USAF gave him reading info about aliens and in the documents, it stated there was 56 space faring species of aliens known. That could explain why the aliens in Italy called themselves W56. However…the meaning of the W has continued to elude me. (Scott C. Waring)

Phoenix – On October 3, 2015, Traveling west on Pecos Road in Ahwatukee, Arizona, saw a strange object in the sky that looked darkish and diamond shaped.

Martinez — I was taking my morning walk in my neighborhood at 7:25 am on October 8, 2015, and looked up and saw a plane exhaust trail. Under the trail was this object. I stopped, and the object stopped..It was stationary. I turned left in the intersection and the object seemed to move right following the direction of the plane trail. I stopped again and it stopped. I would stand still and each time I stopped it seemed stationary. As I continued watching the object again followed the trail. It seemed white and shining from the sun hitting it. New Jersey Orbs
Hackettstown — On October 11, 2015, about a half hour before sunset we saw a very bright light in the sky. It was between the sun and us so it was not a reflection. It had sharp movements and continued generally westward at about six thousand feet. It was not a plane.
We then headed up to the International Trade center area of Mount Olive, to go to Michaels Crafts at the shopping center on top of the mountain. When we arrived, we had several aerial sightings to the west that seemed to appear and disappear. One appeared to change shape from an orb shape to a diamond shape. When we left we saw a string of weird lights heading east in a long line. They were spaced about a half of mile apart and were changing speeds. They appeared to be skimming the treetops five miles to our north. At first, I thought they were aircraft heading for Newark but they were too low, too close together and the lights were wrong. Going west on 46 we saw three more strange lights, one of which appeared to be wedged shaped. Parsippany — I was returning to work from lunch and heading east- on Route 46 on October 10, 2015, when a silver object in the northeast caught my attention. At first, I thought it was a plane but quickly noticed it had no wings or protrusions. It was low and moved slowly but ‘purposefully’ in a southwesterly direction (toward me). At this point (~ 15sec), I noticed a ring-like structure about 1/2way down the circumference that appeared to be of dark gunmetal gray/lead beneath. It reminded me of a classic 1950’s portrayal of a flying saucer. I thought to myself ‘this must be some kind of hoax’ because it was so…perfect? The object then made a 45-degree/double-back, up turn to the northeast, and vanished. I looked around to other drivers and realized no one was even looking up. Photo is a 1950 saucer. Roswell— It was August 13, 2015, at 3:06 AM, we were having a meteor shower that late night, so we decided to sit out in the back of the truck to observe them. While the time went by, we noticed a shadow moving above us and got a glimpse of it. At first, I thought it was a bird flying above us going west. However, my Aunt said that birds really do not fly at night. She also said that if I wanted to see a UFO, just to talk to them mentally and ask them to come back. Therefore, I did this. I was just shooting random pictures in the direction that the shadow went. I used my Sony Phone and continued shooting all night. Saratoga — I was riding in a car with three other male passengers heading towards Utica on October 1, 2015. The driver spotted something in the sky around 1:30 PM. I was sitting in the back and saw a dark cigar shaped object hovering in the distance. The car was traveling at 50 mph and we followed this “object” for at least 10 minutes and never lost sight of it. We arrived in Johnstown, NY and got out of the car taking more images. We then lost sight of the object. We estimate the “object” at (40-50) yards in length staying about a mile ahead of us. There was a ‘glow’ on the top and bottom of the object. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Charlotte — On way home from school I turned my head and saw a craft shaped like a cigar from my auto on April 11, 2013. The cloud color, remained stationary for 5 seconds, then flew diagonally up and down-right (without raising the nose), then it was gone. I was scared and shocked when it vanished. Allentown – On October 10. 2015, I came downstairs to get a bottle of water, looked outside, and saw the object in the sky. It was moving from side to side for a while and stopped moving anymore. It seemed to be occupied but did not have any flashing lights, just one single beam.

Cypress— At about 12:30 AM on October 10, 2015, my roommate and I were on 3rd floor balcony of our apartment talking. Two fairly large and bright looking balls or spheres of what I could only describe as “Fireballs” appeared to the north. They seemed over a few miles away, and estimated 6,000 feet high. These “fireballs” were spherical, with a steady red-orange fiery aura about them. Both objects moved in unison. They traveled upwards to the NE before disappearing. Edgar — I was recording my cat on October 7, 2015, when I heard geese flying over and videoed them. I did not see anything until later when I was watching the recording.
It made such odd movements and it reflected sunlight so my immediate thought went to UFO.

Sofia — I was taking a picture of some new skyscraper in the area, and then suddenly this disc like UFO appeared on October 8, 2015. It made sharp turns and was moving extremely fast over the city.

After this, it shot up into the sky and disappeared.

Scarborough, Ontario— Paul Shishis writes, “I saw a very high white stationary object on October 1, 2015.” I‘m writing to illustrate I am quite perplexed to see another UFO sighting. Periyapatna— Villagers claim to have seen a UFO and a “humanoid figure” on October 1, 2015. Agricultural workers in a Kanagal village around 2 PM spotted an unidentified figure that came towards them from a red spacecraft that emerged from the clouds. It took off just seconds after landing with flashes and sparks around it.

Kanpur— While watching a live TV show cricket from my home I observed this object passing by the Indian Flag at Kanpur Cricket Stadium travelling at the speed of light.

Boca Del Rio, Veracruz — I was watching the sky with my son, on September 9, 2015, and I turn my head above the beach to see a flying object. It remained stationary for a while. When we moved to the other side of the roof with the camera, they began to play with us. We called the rest of the family to see it. My son in law and one of my daughters came to observe for 13 minutes. It made moves that no plane can make. It was flashing and glowing in red/orange colors as it headed north and disappeared. A half an hour later, it came back for a few seconds before it cloaked again. The ships I get on video appear very small on video, but they are big in normal sight. Many times, we can see their red, white, blue or green lights, some are in a circle, others are in triangle shape. They tend to come during the day, disc shape ships always at night. Puerto Rico’s Saucer Scenario
UFO activity over the Puerto Rico was commonplace in 1952. Cases were reported from various points of the island, which would become familiar “hot spots” later in the century. The turbulent waters of the Mona Passage, separating Puerto Rico from the island of Hispaniola, were a particularly rich source of sightings. On May 13, 1952, prominent politician Miguel Garcia was at home in Mayaguez with his family who saw two orange disks flying high over the Mona Passage. The larger disk was the size of the sun, while the smaller one maneuvered around it. Other residents of Mayaguez also saw the disks. On August 3, 1952, guests and staff at San Juan’s Caribe Hilton hotel saw a pair of saucers over the ocean. The Hilton guests believed the objects to be “giant butterflies but the staff assured them there were no giant butterflies on the island.
On August 8th, Robert Daly saw two disks over San Juan at 4:30 AM. On October 6, 1952, photographer Frank McFerran and his wife, driving saw a brilliant light near Mayaguez. The object began changing colors and casting reflections on the sea surface. After twenty minutes of changing colors, the object vanished, plunging into the ocean. A few days later, a flying saucer of considerable size and unexpected brightness stunned Jaime Báez, a local merchant. Ladysmith – On September 30, 2015, the UFO’s were silent and stationary and spotted by the witness.

Dambulla– On the11th of October 2015 about 9.15 AM, I captured Boeing Jet images from my camera.. I got three pictures of it, and saw two objects on the final image at lower right.
I do not think it is a problem with my lens or camera. I want to know what it is.

UK/England Lights
Plymouth— I woke up at 3 AM and saw a bright flash, which is what woke me on October 8, 2015. The flash was as if I had just been punched so that it may have been a dream. The crescent moon was very bright as was an unusually bright star. I guessed it might well be the ISS. However, it moved too rapidly and stopped. Then it flew off again very quickly on no particular path or direction with just a little dance. I was able to video record and picked it up on my screen as a very bright white light. I followed its dance as best I could for a little while until it became stationary so I switched off the video and went back to sleep. The video is shaky. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Liverpool – I was driving with my wife and young daughter on October 9, 2015, along a long stretch of road. I looked out my windscreen and saw a jet-black triangular object about the size of a golf ball at arm’s length. It was about the height that planes fly, and thought it was a plane moving in the opposite direction to which I was driving. I then shouted to my wife “Look what is that!” As soon as she spotted it, the object instantly changed direction and began to morph from a disc to a sphere.
It then began flying alongside our vehicle and I pulled over and started to record it. It began to hover above my car and I got a picture. I tried to change to video mode and the screen on my phone went black. My phone was unresponsive for two minutes and came back on as UFO moved out of sight. During the sighting, we were very excited and shocked and felt dizzy and nauseous. Later, my wife saw a classic flying saucer with a circle of lights. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Minister of Defense Paul Hellyer
Paul Hellyer was Canadian Minister of Defense in 1960s, ruling over the country’s armed forces during the time of the Cold War – and when he retired he publicly stated that we are not alone in the universe, and some guests from outer space actually live here, on planet Earth. Paul was on RT TV. August 18, 2014.
Paul Hellyer states, “Because I know that UFOs are here. As a matter of fact, they’ve been visiting our planet for thousands of years and one of the cases that would interest you most if you give me two or three minutes to answer is that during the Cold War, 1961, there were about 50 UFOs in formation flying south from Russia across Europe, and Supreme Allied Command was very concerned and about ready to press the “Panic” button when they turned around and went back over the North Pole.
They decided to do an investigation, they investigated for 3 years, and they decided that, with absolute certainty, four species – at least – had been visiting this planet for thousands of years. Walt Andrus Death
Word is getting out that Walt Andrus, a major figure in the development of the Mutual UFO Network [MUFON], has died at the age of 94. Longtime MUFON member and former Executive Director Walter Andrus passed away in Texas Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at the age of 94.
Andrus was a founding father of MUFON in 1969, following the original appointment of Allen Utke. Andrus served as Executive Director from 1970 to his retirement in 2000. He was responsible for the growth of MUFON through many tough years. Services were held Monday, September 21, 2015, at the Goetz Funeral Home Chapel in Seguin, Texas.
In my dealings with him, I found him to be sincere, dedicated, highly intelligent person, and an inspiration to generations of MUFON members and associates. The assiduous collection of report files continues and I have always expressed gratitude to the volunteers who perform these tasks in their contribution to a database that contains valuable raw material for a future understanding of this fascinating phenomenon.
ISS Spots UFO
This is a UFO caught by WhitehorseUSA of YouTube and shows a glowing object moving towards the space station on October 1, 2015, but far below its orbit. The object could be a UFO or it could be a top-secret project that NASA is involved with like the X-37 remote controlled shuttle that stays in orbit over a year. Susan Signal’s Letter about Aliens
I appreciate people sending and sharing their experiences from people who feel they are in contact with extraterrestrial beings. Although I cannot verify the validity of this information, I thought you might like to read a letter from Susan and decide for yourself.
Susan Signal writes, John Wells states, “Aliens are spreading diseases from the atmosphere to cause plaques in order to wipe out the race.” Nonsense, the atmosphere has living plasmas and bacteria in it that are innocuous and are used by advanced alien ‘master creator’ races to measure the overall health of the planets biosphere. As a validation of my theory Ancient Aliens: Creatures of the Deep, cites “live sea plankton on the windows of the international space station spotted by Russian cosmonauts,in November of 2014. Sea plankton, an organism that feeds whales and their relatives, creates O2, lives in space, Earth’s upper atmosphere! This proves my theory that Earth’s upper atmosphere have beneficial organisms living in it, Therefore, are used as an indicator of the planets overall biosphere health-by ETs and are innocuous!

Again, John Wells is way off with his unfounded paranoia-based mostly on the activities of the negative ETs-not us. He cites various cases in which there were fallouts and rains followed by flu outbreaks. A better assessment is that the biosphere is stressed by all the perilous activity of the human race against the planet. If so, then these increased fallouts are a planetary indicator of it becoming ill from the parasitic human straining her health. Earth is a rare jewel in the universe. How dare these humans act so vain as to screw up this planet and think it is perfectly OK, and that they will not have to answer to the planet itself, or God.
The “Blue Planet Project Book” describes the various alien races having a plan to wipe out the human race after they are done breeding with us to improve their own gene pool, or turn humans into slaves. The book states, Reptoids (a planetary race that evolved here from the saurian’s and thus the earth belongs to them), regiliens (which are an aquatic race), esalini (similar to greys), are hostile and want to wipe out the human race.
Then, he claims that the Nordics (the tall whites) are friendly towards the human race and want to help it. This is propaganda through and through! The tall whites are scavengers that have manipulated the global elite to control the human race via mind control in order to commandeer the earth’s resources and use the humans as a commodity for leverage in council negotiations in regard to the hyper-D’ war going on up there. They are working alongside the rogue greys, other negative ET races and global elite to pillage the vast biological resources from the abductees, along with other resources from Earth. The fear, suspicion, hysteria and distrust against any inhuman races are causing unwarranted suffering of those of us connected to them. The tall whites have 22 planets in their empire and have terrorized, seized and killed off innocent races throughout the universe.
Thus, the need for us light warrior races. There was a new episode of “Ancient Aliens, the Series: Alien Wars“, that tells about ancients aliens still waging war overhead, over control of Earth. They cite the human race as the pivotal point in determining the outcome of this war. They believe the humans are what’s being fought over. I am more inclined to think the earth and its bio/climate diversity, and its strategic navigational point in the universe and its resources are what’s being fought over. Some races value the humans and have sired them. The humans come from at least five different sources and three were supplanted here. Therefore, only some races are concerned about the humans, others are here to protect and help stabilize the planet and restore its health. Most of these races are positive.
I have been encouraged to write and feel this article is safe. It illustrates just how paranoid most of the population is towards aliens, without use of logic and common sense in their assessment of these races. Signed, Susan Johnson
Kecksburg Satellite or UFO?
MUFON Newsletter theory is that the December 9, 1965 Kecksburg UFO incident was potentially a crash and retrieval of a GE Mark 2 reentry vehicle (RV) launched on December 7, 1965.
Model of Kecksburg Object
There had been some speculation by (e.g. NASA’s James Oberg) that the object in the Kecksburg Incident may have been debris from Kosmos 96, a Soviet satellite. Kosmos 96 had a bell- or acorn-like shape similar to the object reported by eyewitnesses (though much smaller than witnesses reported).
A Molniya carrier rocket was used to launch 3MV-4 No.6. The launch occurred from Site 31/6 at theBaikonur Cosmodrome at 03:21 UTC on 23 November 1965. Late in third stage flight, a fuel line ruptured, causing one of the engine’s combustion chambers to explode. The rocket tumbled out of control, and as a result the fourth stage, a Blok-L, failed to ignite. The spacecraft was deployed into a low Earth orbit with aperigee of 209 kilometers (130 mi), an apogee of 261 kilometers (162 mi), and 51.9 degrees of inclinationto the equator. The spacecraft was named Kosmos 96, part of a series typically used for military and experimental satellites in order to cover up the failure. Had it departed Earth’s orbit, it would have received the next designation in the Venera series, at the time Venera 4.
I discussed the crash of Kosmos 96 with Colonel Ray Sleeper a Commander of the Foreign Technology Division (FTD) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base whose mission is to acquire, collect, analyze, produce, and disseminate foreign aerospace scientific and technical intelligence. It was the only scientific and technical intelligence organization in the Air Force. Colonel Ray Sleeper stated, “We grabbed the Soviet satellite at Kecksburg and analyzed it in detail and found it was amazingly advanced. We could not announce we had it, or we would have been required to give it back too quickly to the Soviets before our detailed engineering tests were completed.” He personally had seen UFOs that flew above his B-52 for over an hour and personally felt some UFOs were extraterrestrial. He mentioned he often argued with a previous Commander of FTD, Major General Harold E. Watson who had been in charge of recovering all Nazi aircraft at the end of World War II, did not believe UFOs were exterrestrial.
General Harold E. Watson had flown an ME-262 that had been booby-trapped to explode when it reached altitude. For some unknown reason the bomb failed to explode. There is evidence the Germans had been working on advanced aircraft of disc design and some may have been recovered. Dozens of advanced German aircraft were put on a British aircraft carrier and brought to the US after the war.
Dr. Wernher von Braun, a former Nazi Germanrocket scientist who, after World War II was brought to theUnited States Army‘s Redstone Arsenal and along with many of his colleagues, laid the foundation for the United States space program. The conspiracy Journal claims Van Braun and crew had set up shop in New Mexico after being allowed in the U.S. under Project Paperclip. They were anxious to let people think saucers were from Mars to take the heat off the fact that the technology came from Hitler’s henchmen.conspiracy journal
Argentina: “Cattle Mutilations are Caused by UFOs“

Mario Zain Pinto has a lot of information on UFOs. After the events that shook the interior of Santiago, resulting from the discovery of mutilated animals, Mario Zain Pinto, a scholar of quantum physics and a UFO enthusiast, explained to Nuevo Diario that “it has been proven all over the world that animal mutilations are caused by these flying objects. Everything else (The Almamula, Chupacabras, etc.) are old tales. The problem is that no one wants to talk because they’re scared.”
He stated that mutilations have particular characteristics that allow them to be determined as caused by UFOs. “They drill an hole (on the animals), draw all of their blood, and that’s why they say it’s the Chupacabras, but the fact is not a single trace is left. For a winged creature to be able to absorb so many animals, it would have to be an enormous creature, and no one has seen that. It’s all stories.”
“We have to start by acknowledging that this is real, that animal mutilations are occurring more frequently all over the world, and that the sightings and experiences that aviators have had with such objects occur everywhere,” Pinto explained. Furthermore, he maintains that behind the cover-up of this information “there are many vested interests coming from such countries as Russia and the United States,” adding: “The fact is that there are many mutilations in Santiago with the same characteristics.”
He recalls that the greatest proof of the existence of UFOs occurred during 2002, due to the discovery of mutilated animals throughout the country, and UFO sightings by some people also substantiated this. It was then that UBA [University of Buenos Aires] and the SENASA reported that the red muzzled mouse was responsible for it all. A small rodent is unable to terminate entire herds of cows.
In this regard, Pinto says: “It was a mockery,” adding that “no one saw or knows about the red muzzled mouse, and mutilation cases were studied very responsibly in Santiago del Estero. Heat and magnetic readings of the ground were taken, determining that alterations were tremendous in a circle surrounding the mutilated carcasses. They also ascertained that ‘rigor mortis’ — a logical thing in any dead creature – was not present. No traces were found, not even birds of prey animals would come close.” Finally, he asked: “There are so many galaxies. Don’t you find it foolish to think the Chupacabras or the Almamula is responsible?”
To remedy the harm these flying objects cause to rural residents of our province, Pinto proposes creating a civil agency jointly with the National University of Santiago del Estero, and with military support as much as possible, “much like those that have existed for a long time now in other countries like Brazil and Chile, and like we have to a certain degree in the Argentinean provinces.”
The researcher stated that in the context of his presentation, and in order to bring this about, the most important thing “is financial assistance throughout the country, a subsidy law for verified cases (of UFO-related cattle mutilation).” Finally, he observed that these phenomena occur in rural areas and the facts are not scrutinized in detail. 2015 Symposium a Success!
The 2015 MUFON Symposium was experienced by more than 600 delighted souls this past weekend at the Hotel Irvine, in Irvine, CA. Feedback was extremely positive from beginning to end. The weekend started with a Press conference, with media from TV, radio, and print in attendance. Fox News did a nice piece as did several newspapers, including the local newspaper the Daily Pilot.
The dinner banquet and keynote address by the Honorable Paul Hellyer, former defense minister of Canada. From that point on, the weekend was a whirlwind of speakers all day Saturday and Sunday, with a pause to celebrate Season 2 of HANGAR 1 at the “HANGAR 1 Hangout” Saturday night. The hangout was hosted by LA radio personality Jimmy Church of Fade to Black Radio and included most of the cast and crew from the hit TV series HANGAR 1. Sunday was more speakers with the finale being a panel comprised of Stanton Friedman, Jaime Maussan, Dr. Robert Wood, Marc d Antonio, Cheryll Jones and Lee Speigel discussing “Making Ufology respectable.” The panel was very well received and was an excellent way to wrap-up the weekend.

MUFON CMS continues to amass sighting reports from around the globe. In September 2015 there were 985 sightings reported to MUFON through CMS from the following countries; United States 769, United Kingdom 61, Canada 53, India 14, Australia 10, Brazil 8 and Columbia 6.

Sightings of UFOs in the United States
Arizona Orb
Valley of Fire State Park — My friends and I had just left Valley of Fire in Nevada. I snapped the picture because I liked the way the mountains looked on September 29, 2015. Later that day I went in to edit my pictures and noticed this bright light. I did not notice it as we were moving at the time. The object is on the mountain and was many miles across the valley from the road we were on. In the picture the object seemed to be moving as it appears to be leaving a trail of light. Alabama Balls
Orange Beach— While sitting on my balcony at the Hampton on October 1, 2015, I notice the object moving straight west at 10 PM. It kept the same height and was moving at 30-40 miles an hour. It appeared to be a cluster of bright lights similar to a cluster of balloons. It made no sound and did not waver in speed or height. The sighting lasted 10 minutes. I was very nervous until I could not see it any longer. I called 911 and reported to Foley, but no one else had reported anything at least to them. I managed to get three iPhone videos of it. I have a DJI Phantom Drone which has a 4K camera but was unable to get a video with it but was unable to do so. Thanks to MUFON CMS
California Strange Lights
My children took videos and photos with their own cell phones of an UFO sighted during the recent lunar eclipse on September 27, 2015. Several videos and photos were taken at two different locations 8 miles apart.
Apparently, there were other witnesses for a schoolmate of my son sent him a similar photo taken at a different location.
The strange thing is that we could not see the UFO with the naked eye, but through the cell phone cameras. Thanks to MUFON CMS
San Jose— I did not only see a craft, I saw four, and I am excited to show my videos and pictures. The first pictures only show beams and those came from the first craft of the night.
I followed it, lost it and found it above the park near my parent’s home. More video clips to follow. On the videos, the object will appear on the bottom of the screen.

Berthoud — This area is well known for its glowing orbs around its mountains that appear, then jet away as if they were lighting on September 30, 2015. Here is a good example of what people in Colorado have been talking about. I love how we get to see it zooming around. Florida Strange Lights
Tampa — Standing at work with another coworker when the coworker saw something in the sky on October 2, 2015. I tried to take a video but I was not quick enough, but I did get a few pictures.
About 10 other employees saw this event. It looked like what I have seen on YouTube.
It started with a narrow chemical like trail, it coned out then as if a secondary booster kicked in, and then it disappeared. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Edinburgh – The lights are still hanging around. They were late tonight. When they arrived, I was taking pictures of the moon. I spoke to them, told them they were late. They are usually here the same time almost every night. Do you think they understood me?
There are also quite a few airplanes flying around. I was telling my son wouldn’t it be amazing the night of the weenie roast that my visitors would come walking thru my yard and my guests would think it’s someone dressed as an alien. Thanks Pam Stark
Minnesota Brothers See Craft
Rochester — I had an incredible sighting September 21, 2015, at 2:00 pm. I was driving in S.E. Rochester heading west down a hill with my brother. I happened to look off to my left side and saw a huge flat black arrowhead shaped craft. My brother also saw it. It was larger than a commercial jet. It was hovering and not making any noise. It was just there in the sky and so easy to see. After looking at it for about 10 seconds trees started to obstruct our view and when I got back in the clear, it was gone. In the top going down the side were large ridges that were evenly spaced out. The back was cut out like a boomerang. NOTE: The above image is a rendering. Missouri Flight Attendant Video Tapes Alien Craft
Saint Louis— According to eyewitness testimony, “I was flying on SWA flight 3357 on September 26, 2015 and had just taken off out of Saint Louis, (STL) to Fort Lauderdale, (FLL). About 15-20 minutes into our flight I noticed what I thought was another plane and all of the sudden whatever it was, did a 180 without losing altitude or speed. I can only see two contrails but no object. I was shocked as I am a flight attendant and have never witnessed anything like this before. My husband also saw it and he flies every week for the last 25 years and has never seen anything like it. Nellis Air Force Base — Scott C. Waring writes, Steven Barone of Youtube is trying to capture footage of Tall Whites as their ships leave and enter Nellis AFB. The USAF works with Tall Whites, an alien species that has their own underground base near Nellis. Steven. Awesome videos.
Eyewitness states:“When watching the amazing things that happen near Nellis Air Force Base I always enjoy the amazing formations these craft’s perform. I have to give some things names and to me these formations resemble a string of hovering and flying pearls. The technology behind all of this must be astonishing because I have seen these things bunch up into a single ball and then spread out and fly away in a tight row. This is just one of many unbelievable things I have witnessed in this extremely strange location. When someone tells you our military is 20 to 25 years ahead technologically you may want to suggest it could be a thousand years ahead and shots like this prove it.
New Jersey Orbs
Brigantine— Right by the beach over the Atlantic Ocean on September 26, 2015, I have been seeing these silent balls of fire-like orbs flying back and forth in the night sky. The fact that they make no sound to me is surprising. Because soon after watching them after a while. They would morph, or shape shift into a light pattern similar to a conventional aircraft or helicopter flashing red and white lights. They do not appear to have any shape that I can make out other then round balls of fire. They would also from time to time dematerialize, or fade out, and at times glow brighter or dim down. The residents here do not seem to pay much attention or be interested in them. Or they may not be able to see them at all, which I have studied is highly possible for some to see, and others not.
On one occasion, during the super blue moon eclipse they were everywhere, flying around as if they were normal aircraft. But balls of fire are not normal aircraft. I have a few video clips of them.
As we waited for the moon to rise into view, we watched the moon together for a few minutes. I decided to get a better view so I rode my bike a block down to the beach. Moments later the orbs appeared. I stood there in excitement and rushed back to show my father. He was able to see it, and began to film from my cell phone. They morphed into what appears to be some sort of manmade aircraft. I plan on becoming a member of MUFON for I have been studying this subject for ten years. I have witnessed multiple sightings. Manhattan— I wish to submit this picture my friend, who wishes to remain anonymous, too when he was having lunch September 14, 2015 outside in New York City. He looked up and saw a bright green glow to the right of the top of the Freedom Tower. After wiping his eyes and shaking his head as he thought he was seeing a glare, he noticed the craft was still there and took a picture. I would like to see if MUFON can analyze the picture. Allentown— My wife and I were sitting in back yard and we just happened to look up on September 4, 2015. The Great Allentown Fair was going on across the street and the object made no noise what so ever.
We were surprised by what we seen and I grabbed my cellphone to take pictures.

Australia Fireball
Darwin — My partner and I were outside on the verandah at 7:30 PM, feeding our dog, when we heard a short loud indescribable noise in July 2007. We ran out onto the grass just off the verandah and spotted what appeared to be a falling ball of fire. It moved north in a starlight line, defying cross winds. As it descended slowly towards us, getting bigger and brighter, we could distinctively see the colors of its flames, beating just like a candle and bright yellow.
You could begin to hear cracking and popping noises like a campfire hovering above us for minutes. The fireball then started to move in an upward angle, we could feel the heat emanating from it as it began to ascend in a S-SW line. It faded slowly giving a soft orange-red glow, before disappearing from sight.
Bureau of Meteorology and the local observatory stated there was a jet demonstration where the pilots burned their fuel. My upbringing was in a Royal Air Force family, and we see many demonstrations of jet fly-bys and fuel burning, but none that last more than a few seconds. None that can match the movement or duration of what we had seen that night. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Curitiba — This UFO moves fast through the sky, then at sudden points it disappears, then reappears a little ways away on September 30, 2015. At the end, the UFO drops down near the boats, possibly entering the water. Eyewitness states it was about 6 PM, we were at a barbecue on the terrace of a three-story townhouse, a friend, appears in the video me and my son who held the camera for me to be part of this film. Scarborough, Ontario — Paul Shishis writes, “On October 1, 2015, I‘m writing to say and illustrate once again that I’m quite perplexed to see another UFO sighting here. There may be a open window to view these higher intelligences above! While outside on morning break half a mile at 10,000 feet I could see a near stationary white light object at 10:09 am. Finland UFOs
Helsinki — I was a passenger in car driving south to Helsinki when there was 35 kilometers to Lahti, I noticed the Moon with four round objects near it about 10:30 am, on October 3, 2015. I first thought they were birds because three were flying in formation. I realized they were hovering much higher than birds fly. Their bottom seemed a spinning circle, sort of like blinking with white, silverish and black. Like I said, “Three of them were in triangle shaped formation and the last one moved slowly towards them until they were a square shaped formation. Then pine trees blocked my view for two seconds and I never saw those flying objects again”. I made a demonstration image of what I saw. Thanks to MUFON CMS
India Rocket Launch
Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota – Just a few seconds after launch, the camera picks up two UFOs on the right side of the ISRO rocket launch on September 27, 2015. India says the rocket is carrying only a mini Hubble style telescope inside, so that they can observe the universe better than ever. It is carrying six satellites; four of them are US owned, and one Canadian.

Mexico UFO
San Carlos, Sonora — I was vacationing in Mexico when I stopped my vehicle to take a picture of the marina with my mobile phone. I didn’t notice anything in the sky as I was looking at my phone screen when I took the picture.
Later, I noticed the yellow spot so I zoomed in and saw the yellow shape.
I have shown it to several local people and no one has seen anything around that looks similar. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Netherlands Orbs
Amsterdam — First, I want to mention that these video’s are from August 2012, and I kept wondering what it was. My friend and I were at a concert of Leonard Cohen at the Olympic Stadium. We noticed three big light balls, chasing each other like crazy above the audience. I asked the people behind me if they saw anything, some did not and some did. They thought it was a reflection from the concert big lamps. The video shows the lights were not on, but I could not see them in the lens. When it got dark, I managed to catch three videos of the uncoordinated objects. They stayed in a big circle area above the crowd. The objects were there constantly until the concert was finished. I felt excited and did not feel fear. The first thing that came to my mind was, maybe these are USOs I was full of it when I came home I had to tell everyone. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Spain: Four Curious Sightings and a Tall Humanoid
Robledo de Chavela is a municipality located in the western mountains of Madrid. Many UFOlogists have identified this area as one of the best spots for seeing unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in Spain. The proximity of the NASA deep space tracking facility and the mysterious tower of the parish church, they say, are points that contribute to the creation of all kind of legends. In 1980, significant sightings began to occur. The first took place when four silent lights began spinning rapidly over the church belfry for several minutes. Shortly after, these lights aligned to head toward the space tracking station, where they proceeded to vanish. “A very tall humanoid was seen as it emerged from what some witnesses described as “a sort of egg.” In 2000, a projectile-shaped UFO was also reported over Robledo that crossed the entire country and was shown on many domestic news broadcasts. Southampton — I was sitting in my room with my friend when he looked out the window and noticed something flying vertically up.
At first, he joked that it was an angel, but we watched it fly all the way higher than we could see, vertical the whole time.
It was a dark object and left thick trails behind it.
I would assume it was a plane if it had not been flying completely vertically.

Geen Big Bang? “Het universum is er altijd al geweest”
Een voorstel voor een nieuw model stelt dat het universum geen punt heeft waarop het bestond. Volgens een nieuwe theorie was het heelal er altijd al en is het niet ontstaan.
De huidige theorie die de oorsprong van het universum uitlegt, de oerknaltheorie, stelt dat het heelal zo’n 13,8 miljard jaar geleden ontstond als gevolg van een enkele gebeurtenis.
Hoewel deze theorie lange tijd werd gebruikt om de algemene relativiteitstheorie van Albert Einstein te begrijpen, hebben wetenschappers ontdekt dat de oerknaltheorie niet meer zo stevig staat als vroeger.
Kosmologische constante
Ahmed Farag Ali van de Benha University en de Zewail City of Science and Technology in Egypte heeft een nieuw model ontwikkeld dat de kwantumtheorie van fysicus David Bohm verenigt met de relativiteitstheorie van Einstein. Het nieuwe model voorspelt dat de oerknal nooit heeft plaatsgevonden.
Het model neemt afstand van de theorie van het uitdijende heelal en beroept zich op een kosmologische constante die zegt dat het universum eindig is qua grootte. Met andere woorden: het universum is er altijd al geweest.
Radicaal
Dit nieuwe model is vrij radicaal, aangezien het niet alleen de Big Bang weerlegt, maar ook tal van andere theorieën. Het suggereert dat het universum is gevuld met kwantumvloeistof, die bestaat uit deeltjes die invloed uitoefenen op de effecten van de zwaartekracht, waardoor de uitbreiding van de ruimte wordt veroorzaakt.
Saurya Das van de Universiteit van Lethbridge in Alberta zei dat het nieuwe model – gebaseerd op een wetenschap die gedomineerd wordt door antimaterie, hogere dimensies en het multiversum – mogelijk veel problemen in één keer kan oplossen.

Het fenomeen graancirkels doet al snel denken aan Engeland, het land waar ze veel voorkomen.
Ook bij ons verschijnen ze en bevatten ze wel degelijk boodschappen voor ons.
Tot nu toe zijn er wereldwijd meer dan 10.000 van die cirkels gevonden waarvan er sinds 1980 ongeveer 6.000 verschenen.
Er zijn intussen meer dan 80 getuigen die graancirkels in een tijdsbestek van enkele seconden hebben zien ontstaan nadat ze een of meerdere lichtbollen (orbs) hadden waargenomen.
Sommigen zijn er zelfs in geslaagd er filmopnames van te maken.
Aangenomen dat deze graancirkels worden gemaakt door buitenaardse beschavingen, is het ook logisch om aan te nemen dat deze graancirkels worden gebruikt om boodschappen aan ons door te geven.
De berichten zullen waarde hebben want ze zullen niet die moeite doen als het informatie betreft die op iedere straathoek te krijgen is. Met andere woorden, een waarschuwing.
De volgende vraag is dan welke planetaire gebeurtenis dit zou kunnen zijn en op welke manieren men probeert ons te waarschuwen.
Nu is Engeland het land bij uitstek waar graancirkels worden gevonden, maar in dit geval schijnt het dat de boodschappen betreffende de komst van de planeet Nibiru zijn doorgegeven via graancirkels die in het begin van dit jaar door Robert van den Broeke zijn aangetroffen in Noord-Brabant.
Zijn ontcijfering van de Nederlandse graancirkels begin dit jaar staat in de hiernavolgende video. Hij gebruikt zo te zien een dosis gezond verstad om erachter te komen wat deze graancirkels ons proberen te vertellen.
Daarnaast gaat hij uit van een aantal aannames die misschien wat minder logisch zijn.
Hoe dan ook, na zijn berekeningen en analyse komt hij uit op een datum van 7 november 2015 waarop de planeet Nibiru zichtbaar zal worden aan de hemel. Aan de hand van de graancirkels weet hij dit ook aardig te onderbouwen.
Het tweede deel waarin hij berekent hoelang het duurt tussen het moment van zichtbaar worden en het punt waarop deze planeet de kortste afstand tot de aarde heeft bereikt, is voor ons gevoel te kort. Dat komt omdat hij uit gaat van een week als rekeneenheid, terwijl het waarschijnlijker is dat het hier jaren betreft. Een grote onbekende planeet verplaatst zich niet in een tijdsbestek van ongeveer 4 weken van het stadium van waar het zichtbaar wordt tot een positie waar het relatief dichtbij de aarde komt.
Over iets minder dan twee weken zullen we weten of in ieder geval het eerste deel van zijn theorie klopt en de planeet Nibiru voor iedereen zichtbaar is.

These are jellyfish UFOs and are a bit rare to see. Scott C. Waring www.ufosightingsdaily.com Eyewitness states: My wife was coming home from work on 25W in south Corbin,Ky. As she drove she took about 5 pics of the sunrise. When she arrived at home we looked at her pics of the sunrise. I noticed the object in about the 4th pic. She snapped these pics with her cell phone about every 20 to 30 seconds. The object was not in any of the previous or following pics. It must have been moving very fast. At first the objects looked like puffs of smoke but I noticed that they have structure and Windows. It looks as if the objects have a fuzzy shroud around their exterior. At no time was my wife ever aware of these objects. I thought it was really good UFO pic and I've looked at a ton of UFO pics. Thank you for this submission.
