India: Massive UFO Hovering Behind Clouds

Stunned eyewitnesses believed they had spotted a large circular object floated above them that looked like the craft from an alien movie.

One of the witnesses Lincoln Liba said that the massive disc surfaced from within a cloud and as a rainbow appeared. In one of theseveral pictures taken, one boy is seen pointing up at the object.
Residents and students in Imphal, India claimed to have seen the UFO last week.

Local weather experts explain that it isn’t a UFO but a lenticular cloud, which is a formation of clouds that usually mistaken for UFOs in the past as it often appears in an almost oval-shaped structure.

But other witnesses argue that the thing appears solid.

An identical mothership-look emerged from the clouds in a photo that was allegedly taken from Brazil and uploaded two days ago.

Other pictures also featured the same image said to have taken in different parts of the world, including above a heavy traffic.

The same image was also found in pictures released by a news agency this week, which were apparently captured in Heilongtan Reservoir in Sichuan Province, China.

Other online viewers suggested that the UFO in the Indian images was created using digital editing software or a mobile phone app.

Officers from Kingston Police thought they may have been called out to the UK's first ever Unidentified Flying Object Object crash site when an inexplicable object was seen on fire in the middle of a road at night.

Officers were so shocked they tweeted: "Have we been called to the first crash landing of a UFO in the UK?"

They also posted about the job on Facebook, stating: "Have Kingston Police recovered the first UFO?

"Last night at around midnight a concerned member of the public called us on 999 stating that there was an unknown item on fire in the middle of the road.

"Officers from Emergency Response Team A were dispatched along with the London Fire Brigade.

London Fire Brigade officers also tweeted about the experience, saying: "We attended a 'UFO crash' on Sat night with @MPSKingston."

But they added that the "UFO turned out to be a pizza oven on fire in the road".

After establishing what it was the mystery continued and police do want to know how on Earth a pizza oven ended up on fire in the middle of the road on Saturday.

The Facebook post added: "However on a serious note, anyone with information about this item and how it ended up being there please do contact us on 101"

Man captures 'UFO footage' flying over Melbourne

An Australian man believes he may have captured a UFO on two cameras.

An Australian man believes he may have captured a UFO on two cameras.

Just before he started filming on October 14, 2015, Peter Slattery noticed what looked like a kite fly by the side of his home in Melbourne.

When he went to investigate he couldn’t see anything but as he returned to his back yard he saw something in the sky.

He immediately started filming the unusual light in the sky moving fast through the clouds.

Peter following the object until it went out of view, next thing he knew it had disappeared.

It’s not the first time Mr Slattery has come across suspected alien life either.

His website shows plenty of photos of what he claims to be UFO’s dating back to 2011.

Living organisms may have existed on Earth as long as 4.1bn years ago – 300m years earlier than was previously thought, new research has shown.

If confirmed, the discovery means life emerged a remarkably short time after the Earth was formed from a primordial disc of dust and gas surrounding the sun 4.6bn years ago.

Researchers discovered the evidence in specks of graphite trapped within immensely old zircon crystals from Jack Hills, Western Australia.

Atoms in the graphite, a crystalline form of carbon, bore the hallmark of biological origin. They were enriched with 12C, a “light” carbon isotope, or atomic strain, normally associated with living things.

It suggests that a terrestrial biosphere had emerged on Earth as early as 4.1bn years ago, said the scientists writing in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The US scientists, led by Dr Mark Harrison, from the University of California at Los Angeles, said the graphite was completely encased in zircon that was crack-free and could not have been contaminated despite the passing of aeons.

They wrote: “This study extends the terrestrial carbon isotope record around 300m years beyond the previously oldest-measured samples from south-west Greenland.”

Some non-biological processes could also produce the light form of carbon, notably meteorite impacts, said the researchers.

But the amount of extra-terrestrial carbon needed to account for the findings made meteorites an unlikely source.

“A biogenic origin seems at least as plausible,” the scientists added.

Confirming the connection with early life would represent “a potentially transformational scientific advance” they said.

Can These Sensors Scientifically Prove UFOs Exist?

This group of scientists seems to think so.

A group of scientists and academics from around the world has launched a new effort called UFODATA, which stands for UFO Detection and Tracking, to apply some rigorous scientific research to the study of UFOs. This all-volunteer, nonprofit project that includes scientists from the United States, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Chile intends to use scientific data and research methods to advance an issue that has largely been confined to the margins (at best) of the traditional scientific community.

"It's abundantly clear that we're not going to make progress in understanding whatever is causing the unknown UFO reports and sightings without getting the type of data we want to collect," says Mark Rodeghier, scientific director and president of the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies in Chicago, and now a UFODATA board member. "More witness testimony, where they fill out a form and tell you what they saw, is not going to help us solve the problem," he says. The problem that Rodeghier is referring to is the frequent, inexplicable sightings of aerial phenomena.

The group of about 15 scientists, engineers, astronomers, professors, and a journalist intend to install a series of automated surveillance stations loaded with scientific research tools at various locations in known UFO hotspots such as those in the western United States and in Hessdalen, Norway. The stations will be used to photograph unidentified objects and analyze the light coming from them in order to learn more about the sources of energy powering them. People have done this sort of thing in the past, but never before in such a coordinated and scientifically rigorous way.

The sensors that the group hopes to build will include several high-resolution cameras fitted with spectrographic grating, which is a method for analyzing the type of light the camera is seeing, and the ways that energy might be affecting the atmosphere around the light source. Here is a video explaining the process. Other equipment includes a magnetometer, used to measure electromagnetic radiation, as well as a Geiger counter and a weather station.

"In this area of science (physics, astronomy, etc.) the best way to learn about something is to get its spectra," Rodeghier says. He compares it to a rainbow, which is a "spectra" of the sun's light. "You can see the elements it's composed of, you can also tell things about its temperature and pressure. There are many, many things that you can learn from a spectra and associated data."

These sensors aren't cheap. Each one will cost between $10,000 and $20,000, the group says, which they're hoping to raise through crowdfunding and other donations.

"UFODATA will rely on crowd funding to finance the stations, allowing the millions of people who take UFOs seriously to be involved in the effort, independent of the scientific establishment," wrote Leslie Kean, an American journalist and the author of UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go on the Record. After covering the issue for years, she's also now a board member for UFODATA. Kean announced the project on her Huffington Post blog earlier this week.

The all-volunteer group hopes to raise enough money to build one prototype station, test it, and prove the concept. Next year they plan to raise additional funds, Rodeghier says, after the project is better known and a more robust volunteer staff is in place.

Rodeghier says more reliable and scientific data will not only advance understanding of UFOs, but might also serve to persuade the public at large that this issue merits more serious examination. Nonetheless, the organizers appreciate that "the UFO community and the UFO problem is something that is pretty much looked down upon by what I call the establishment," Rodeghier says. "That includes scientists, big media, and politicians, Washington. All those people—and I'm speaking broadly because there's always exceptions—think the UFO problem, they laugh at it, it's to be ridiculed, and certainly shouldn't be supported and funded. And so yes, this is part of an effort, is to say, 'This problem is serious. It's like any other scientific problem.'"

But even the new organization has had to grapple internally with the taboo of scientific discussion of UFOs. The initial UFODATA team includes four "silent advisors"—two full professors, an attorney, and an astronomer—who "are prepared to lend a hand, but because of the cultural stigma attached to UFOs—or because of a personal preference for anonymity—have chosen to keep their involvement private" according to the group's website.

MoD To Release Top Secret ‘British X-Files’ By 2016

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) are set to release top secret files known as the “British X-Files”.


UFO researchers and a peer from the House of Lords have campaigned for the release of 18 files about sightings that took place in the UK over 30 years ago and believe they could prove extraterrestrials have visited the UK.

The Government faced claims of a cover-up when their release was stalled at the end of 2013.

The government originally planned to declassify the files at the end of 2013, but their release was stalled due to “additional processing requirements,” prompting speculation about a possible cover-up.


After Lord Black of Brentwood pressed the matter in parliament, the MoD says the files will be released to the National Archives by March 2016.

Some UFO investigators claim the classified government files will shed light on reported sightings of unexplained lights in Rendlesham Forest on two separate occasions in December 1980.

US Army Personnel stationed in Suffolk witnessed seeing a “strange glowing” triangular metallic object, approximately two to three meters across the base and two meters high.

Lieutenant Colonel Halt described the strange events in a memo to the MoD: “It illuminated the entire forest with a white light. The object itself had a pulsing red light on top and a bank(s) of blue lights underneath. The object was hovering or on legs.”

“As the patrolmen approached the object, it maneuvered through the trees and disappeared. At this time the animals on a nearby farm went into a frenzy. The object was briefly sighted approximately an hour later near the back gate.”

The unexplained sighting in Rendlesham Forest is one of the most well-known cases of UFO claims in the UK and is often compared to the 1947 Roswell UFO incident in the United States.

Lord Black asked the government for an update on the release of the UFO files.

In a parliamentary question in March this year, he wrote: “In relation to the 18 Ministry of Defence files on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) that have yet to be released to the public, what is the originating division of the file reference M9/18; what is the remit of that division in relation to UAP; and what is their latest estimate of when the 18 files will be passed to the National Archives, and then released to the public?”

Minister of State for Defence Earl Howe replied: “The originating branch of file reference MO9/18 relates to ministers’ private offices. The latest estimate of when the 18 files will be delivered to the National Archives is before March 2016.”

UFO investigator Nick Pope doubts the top secret files will be a “Roswell-style UFO in a hangar cover-up.”

A former civil servant in the MoD, Pope was assigned to a section of the ministry investigating reports of UFO sightings in 1991 for a three-year period.

He told the Daily Express: “The suspicion will be that there’s a bombshell in these files and that the ministry does not know how to handle it.”

“Having worked on the MoD’s UFO project, I’m sorry to say that we don’t have any crashed spaceships hidden away in some RAF hangar, as some believe, but we do have some fascinating and unexplained cases in our files,” he added.

Star-Crossed Lovers? Two Suns Caught Smooching

It's a make-out session on a cosmic scale: Two incredibly hot stars, spinning in a tight orbit around one another, appear to be "kissing." The stellar pair are so close together that their surfaces overlap, creating a bridge between them.

The smooching stars are two of the hottest and most massive overlapping double stars ever identified, according to new research. Catching two stars in this phase of life is "extremely rare," the European Southern Observatory (ESO) said in a statement, because the stars don't remain in this state for long. Known collectively as VFTS 352, the enormous stars provide a rare look at the mixing of material from two different stellar sources, said Leonardo Almeida, at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and lead author of a study that identified the unusual pair. Stellar kisses

When two double stars orbit one another close enough that they share their components, they are known as "overcontact binaries," according to the statement from the ESO. Only a handful of this unusual class of stars has been identified, primarily because they inhabit this step of evolution for a brief span of time in their overall lifetimes.

Of these, VFTS 352 is the earliest-type, hottest and most massive overcontact binary known, with a combined mass of about 57 times that of the sun and surface temperatures above 40,000 degrees Celsius (72,000 degrees Fahrenheit), according to the new research paper. The kissing stars were spotted using the European Space Observatory's Very Large Telescope (VLT).

Located about 160,000 light-years away from Earth, in the Tarantula Nebula, the two stars in VFTS 352 orbit each other in just over one Earth day. The stellar cores are only about 7.5 million miles (12 million kilometers) apart, so close that their surfaces overlap, forming a bridge between the two.

Unlike their cousins, "vampire binaries," which have one smaller star sucking material from its larger neighbor, VFTS 352 contains two stars of almost identical size. Instead of one star stealing material from the other, the pair may share as much as 30 percent of their components.

It remains uncertain what will happen to the unlikely pair, but their future will definitely be cataclysmic. In one scenario, the two stars may merge to create a single, rapidly rotating, highly magnetic, gigantic star. This merger, the researchers say, would produce an incredible cosmic fireworks show.

"If it keeps spinning rapidly, it might end its life in one of the most energetic explosions in the universe, known as a long-duration gamma-ray burst," Hugues Sana, of the University of Leuven in Belgium, said in the same statement. Sana was the lead scientist of the VLT FLAMES Tarantula Survey, which identified the exotic pair in the process of studying over 900 stars in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a dwarf galaxy located just outside the Milky Way (earning it the title of "satellite galaxy").

In a second scenario, the two stars would "both remain compact, and the VFTS 352 system may avoid merging," said the team's lead theoretical astrophysicist Selma de Mink, of the University of Amsterdam. "This would lead the objects down a new evolutionary path that is completely different from classic stellar evolution predictions."

In this case, said de Mink, the stars would end their lives in supernova explosions, producing a pair of closely orbiting black holes. If scientists can catch this event as it is happening, it provide an observational breakthrough for stellar astrophysics, because it would likely produce gravitational waves. These ripples in space-time are generated by extreme variations of strong gravitational fields, and are predicted by Einstein's theory of gravity, but have never been directly observed.

The research was published online in the Astrophysical Journal.

This shape of UFO has been recorded before in the past. For example, in Oct 5, 1996 a pilot over Pelotas, Brazil recorded a similar bronze pyramid shape in the sky and even flew around it as some smaller UFOs came out its top. (Click here to view the post). An older sighting, but one I have never seen before, so had to share it.

Here’s the bad news: you still have to buy Christmas presents for your family.

‘Nibiru’ or ‘Planet X’ is a favourite of conspiracy theory websites, and has been around for 20 years. It has been predicted to kill us all on several occasions – and has never even shown up.

From the late Nineties on, a woman who claimed she had an alien implant in her brain said that the planet was on a collision course with Earth, to hit in 2003.

It wasn’t.

In 2012, Mayan apocalypse believers went on so much about Nibiru that Professor Brian Cox snapped on Twitter, ‘If anyone else asks me about “Nibiru” the imaginary bulls**t planet I will slap them around their irrational heads.’

This year, IT’S BACK! Except, it isn’t.

Sites such as Before It’s News claim the planet is once again on a collision course with Earth – blaming it for everything from climate change to an impending doomsday collision.

NASA has thoroughly debunked the Nibiru myth via its Beyond 2012 page, saying, ‘The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth.

‘Nibiru and other stories about wayward planets are an Internet hoax. There is no factual basis for these claims. If Nibiru or Planet X were real and headed for an encounter with the Earth, astronomers would have been tracking it for at least the past decade, and it would be visible by now to the naked eye.’

Nigel Watson, author of the UFO Investigations Manual says, ‘The concept of a Planet X is a cornerstone of Zcharia Sitchin’s ancient astronaut theories. After studying ancient Sumerian texts he concluded that the planet Nibiru exists beyond Neptune and visits our part of the Solar System every 3,600 years.

‘He claims that Nibiru collided with a planet called Tiamat that was situated between Mars and Jupiter. The result was the creation of the asteroid belt and planet Earth.’

‘Nibiru is populated by the Anunnaki, an advanced humanoid race, who visited Earth thousands of years to mine gold in Africa. As an outcome of needing workers to carry out these mining operations they used genetics to create Homo Sapians.’

‘This is a well thought-out theory based on ancient texts, but most of it cannot be proved and the concept of a planet on such a large ellipital orbit around our Sun doesn’t fit with our current scientific understanding of the Solar System.’

‘Nonetheless the popularity of these type of ideas makes it certain that every new discovery by our spaceships will be be minutely studied for any evidence of Nibiru, or any other similar body that might be populated by extraterrestrials.’

How Long Does It Take to Get to Mars?

If you wanted to pay a visit to the red planet, how long would it take? The answer depends on a number of things, ranging from the position of the planets to the technology that would propel you there. Let's examine a few of the most important points.

How far away is Mars?

To determine how long it will take to reach Mars, we must first know the distance between the two planets.

Mars is the fourth planet from the sun, and the second closest to Earth (Venus is the closest). But the distance between the two planets is constantly changing as they travel around the sun.

In theory, the closest that Earth and Mars would approach each other would be when Mars is at its closest point to the sun (perihelion) and Earth is at its farthest (aphelion). This would put the planets only 33.9 million miles (54.6 million kilometers) apart. However, this has never happened in recorded history. The closest approach of the two planets occurred in 2003, when they were only 34.8 million miles (56 million km) apart.

The two planets are farthest apart when they are both at their farthest from the sun, on opposite sides of the star. At this point, they can be 250 million miles (401 million km) apart.

The average distance between the two planets is 140 million miles (225 million km).

The speed of light

Light travels at approximately 186,282 miles per second (299,792 km per second). Therefore, a light shining from the surface of Mars would take the following amount of time to reach Earth (or vice versa):

Closest approach: 182 seconds, or just over 3 minutes
Farthest approach: 1,342 seconds, or just over 22 minutes
On average: 751 seconds, or just over 12.5 minutes

Fastest spacecraft so far

The fastest spacecraft launched from Earth was NASA's New Horizons mission, which is en route to Pluto. In January 2006, the probe left Earth at 36,000 mph (58,000 kph). The time it would take such a probe to get to Mars would be:

Closest approach: 942 hours (39 days)
Farthest approach: 6,944 hours (289 days)
On average: 3,888 hours (162 days)

But then things get complicated …

Of course, the problem with the previous calculations is that they measure distance between the two planets as a straight line. Traveling through the farthest passing of Earth and Mars would involve a trip directly through the sun, while spacecraft must of necessity move in orbit around the solar system's star.

Although this isn't a problem for the closest approach, when the planets are on the same side of the sun, another problem exists. The numbers also assume that the two planets remain at a constant distance; that is, when a probe is launched from Earth while the two planets are at the closest approach, Mars would remain the same distance away over the course of the 39 days it took the probe to travel. In reality, however, the planets are continuously moving in their orbits around the sun. Engineers must calculate the ideal orbits for sending a spacecraft from Earth to Mars. Their numbers factor in not only distance but fuel efficiency. Like throwing a dart at a moving target, they must calculate where the planet will be when the spacecraft arrives, not where it is when it leaves Earth. Spaceships must also decelerate to enter orbit around a new planet to avoid overshooting it.

How long it takes to reach Mars depends on where in their orbits the two planets lie when a mission is launched. It also depends on the technological developments of propulsion systems.

Here is a list of how long it took several historical missions to reach the red planet. Their launch dates are included for perspective.

Putting Astronauts on Mars: NASA Lays Out Three-Phase Plan

The path to Mars goes through the moon — or the region of space near the moon, anyway.

NASA aims to put boots on Mars in the 2030s after first gathering human-spaceflight experience and expertise in low Earth orbit and the "proving ground" of cis-lunar space near the moon.

NASA has been working on this three-stage path to the Red Planet for some time, and the space agency lays out the basic plan in a 36-page report called "Journey to Mars: Pioneering Next Steps in Space Exploration," which was released Thursday (Oct. 8). [5 Ideas for Manned Missions to Mars]

"This strategy charts a course toward horizon goals while delivering near-term benefits and defining a resilient architecture that can accommodate budgetary changes, political priorities, new scientific discoveries, technological breakthroughs and evolving partnerships," William Gerstenmaier, associate administrator for Human Exploration and Operations at NASA Headquarters, said in a statement.

The first step in the three-phase Mars plan is already underway; NASA astronauts and their international colleagues have been living aboard the International Space Station continuously, in roughly six-month-long crew rotations, since November 2000. These spaceflyers' experiences are helping researchers and mission planners better understand how spaceflight affects the human body and mind. In addition, the space station allows NASA and its partners to develop and test critical technologies in areas such as life support and space-to-ground communications, agency officials said.

The International Space Station orbits just 250 miles (400 kilometers) from Earth's surface. Robotic cargo ships bring supplies on a regular basis to the astronauts, who can be back on their home planet in a matter of hours if need be. Mars pioneers will have to be much more independent, and that's what the next step in NASA's Red Planet plan — the proving ground — is all about.

NASA aims to gain deep-space experience near the moon on a series of missions over the next decade or so. One such project is the Asteroid Redirect Mission (ARM), in which a robotic probe — powered by advanced solar-electric propulsion, which NASA regards as a key technology for hauling big payloads to Mars — will pluck a boulder off a near-Earth asteroid and haul it to lunar orbit, where it can be visited by astronauts in the future.

Agency officials want the first astronaut visit to come by 2025. Spaceflyers will rendezvous with the asteroid chunk using NASA's Orion crew capsule and Space Launch System (SLS) megarocket, both of which are in development. [Space Launch System: NASA's Giant Rocket Explained (Infographic)]

Orion's maiden flight, an uncrewed affair that used a United Launch Alliance Delta IV rocket, came last December. The capsule and SLS are scheduled to fly together for the first time in 2018, on a seven-day-long, uncrewed journey around the moon.

NASA also aims to test a deep-space habitation system in the proving ground, for short durations in the early 2020s and for longer missions later in the decade, according to the new report.

"A modular, pressurized volume would enable extended stays by crews arriving with Orion," the report states. "This initial habitation capability in cis-lunar space would demonstrate all the capabilities and countermeasures necessary to send humans on long-duration transit missions to Mars."

Sending astronauts to Mars is the third stage of the plan. This ambitious goal will be enabled by international cooperation, the knowledge and expertise gained by human missions to the space station and the proving ground, and by all the data gathered by robotic Red Planet explorers, according to the new report.

NASA currently has two operational Mars rovers (Opportunity and Curiosity) and three functioning orbiters circling the Red Planet — Mars Odyssey, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) and MAVEN (whose name is short for Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution). India and Europe also control active Mars orbiters, called Mangalyaan and Mars Express, respectively.

These spacecraft have already returned information of interest to the crewed Mars effort. For example, scientists analyzing MRO data announced late last month that the seasonal dark streaks on some Martian slopes are caused by liquid water.

And more robotic Mars missions are on the way. NASA plans to launch a lander called InSight next year to probe the Red Planet's interior and a highly capable rover in 2020. The Mars 2020 rover will hunt for signs of past life and cache samples for future return to Earth, among other tasks. It will also carry a technology-demonstrating instrument that generates oxygen from Mars' atmospheric carbon dioxide.

In addition, the European Space Agency's ExoMars project will send an orbiter toward the Red Planet in 2016, and a life-hunting rover in 2018.

"Robotic science pathfinder missions will continue well into the next decade to meet high-priority science objectives and prepare for future human missions to Mars," the new NASA report states. "Robotic missions after Mars 2020 are in their conceptual stages and will address key exploration questions, such as characterizing the complex gravitational environment of the Martian moons; identifying resources and areas of scientific interest; understanding the effects of space radiation; validating EDL [entry, descent and landing] techniques; and studying regolith mechanics and dust."

NASA is still working out the details about the journey to Mars. For example, astronauts may stop at one of Mars' two tiny moons, Phobos and Deimos, along the way. But putting boots on the Red Planet's surface, and setting up a permanent outpost, remain the ultimate goals.

"There are challenges to pioneering Mars, but we know they are solvable," the report states. "We are developing the capabilities necessary to get there, land there, and live there."

Five technologies being developed by NASA for Mars mission

NASA has its eyes set on 2030s with respect to its Mission to Mars and it is certainly moving ahead with great sincerity and persistence. Owing to this, the space agency, released a report about its progress and plans for the Mars mission. Apart from other long term goals, the agency gave a peek into some amazing technologies, which it plans to develop in coming years, to make the Mars Mission a reality as soon as possible. Here are our favourite five:

1. New spacesuits: The very first thing that comes to mind when talking about a space mission is the spacesuit itself. Today’s spacesuits look more like inflated balloons than proper body hugging smart suits. Considering, astronauts going to Mars will have to spend nearly a year or more on the planet involving moving and roaming around, exploring and collecting data, the suit they wear should be such that it protects them from the damaging radiations of Mars and its cold thin atmosphere while still allowing them to move around freely in order to complete their work. The researchers want to make spacesuits that are easier to get around in. They may also incorporate augmented reality, self-healing materials, and interwoven bio-monitors. NASA plans to test a next-gen spacesuit when it sends astronauts to rendezvous with a boulder during the Asteroid Redirect Mission.

2. Deep Space Habitats: If we look at the mission we really can’t expect the astronauts to go to the Mars in a rocket and cram them in an Orion capsule for three years. So NASA wants a deep space habitat that attaches to the Orion capsule to provide more living space (and a bathroom) for the astronauts on board, as well as a habitat for them to live in on Mars. Such a habitat would need to provide life support, fire prevention, and radiation protection, in addition to giving the astronauts room to exercise and do their work.

3. Huge rockets: The successor to the famous Space Shuttle is currently in making and is expected to be ready for lift off by 2018. This Space Launch System (SLS) will have the capability of carrying 70 metric tons of supplies into orbit. Later, it could send payloads of up to 130 metric tons into a trajectory towards Mars. At 382 feet tall, the SLS will eventually be the largest launch vehicle ever built, and even more powerful than the Saturn V rockets that carried the Apollo astronauts to the Moon. “This payload capacity far exceeds the capability of current and planned commercial launch vehicles,” says the report. Along with the Orion crew capsule (also in development at NASA), the SLS could eventually carry astronauts to Mars and other deep space destinations.

4. Propulsion using sun: The SLS derives its power by the combustion of liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. But SLS is only meant to carry astronauts out of the orbit of the Earth. But for the purpose of completing the 7-month long journey to the Red planet, it would be very expensive to launch because using rocket fuel to propel a spacecraft requires a large gas tank. So NASA is planning to use the power of Sun to solve this problem. The method (which is being called Solar Electric Propulsion) would move the spacecraft by shooting ions out its rear. Electrons break down xenon gas into plasma, and an electric field accelerates the particles until they shoot the back of the engine at high speeds. Solar power provides the electrons to make it work. It is to be noted that while Solar Electric Propulsion doesn’t provide the humongous thrust of the rocket fuel, it does build up speed slowly, gradually propelling the spacecraft up to 200,000 miles per hour. And ion propulsion is very efficient too, using up to 10 times less propellant than rocket fuel. The technology is real but what needs to do now is to scale it up dramatically. To drive a heavier payload, the ion engines will need to be at least an order of magnitude more powerful.

5. Beaming lasers: Once astronauts hop on their journey to the Mars, the most important thing for them will be: Communication, as Mars is 33.9 million miles away from Earth even at its closest. So the internet connection needs to be strong enough to aid perpetual touch and communication with the astronauts. NASA’s new report notes that the Mars rovers can send and receive data at a rate of about two million bits per second. By comparison, the International Space Station’s data rate is 300 million bits per second. And in order to navigate to and land on Mars, NASA’s going to need a stronger connection–something on the order of a billion bits per second (1 Gigabit per second). Considering all this, the only solution that NASA considers to be feasible as well as effective is: Lasers! It is to be noted that during a 2013 test, a laser communication system allowed NASA’s Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) to download information at 622 million bits per second. Other designs might be able to send data at a few billion bits per second out to the distance of Saturn but that is yet to be found out.

All these amazing technologies do make us optimistic about the feasibility of the Mission to Mars, but this is also true that these very technologies are going to be quite taxing for NASA in terms of time and money. But if everything turns out as planned then we will surely step onto the Red Planet fully prepared.

British Cop Witnesses TALL WHITE Aliens Inspecting Fresh Crop Circle

Not many people know this, but back in 2009 a British police officer witnessed ‘Alien Beings’ inspecting a fresh crop circle in a middle of a field!

The Police Sergeant who has not been named, witnessed the event back in 2009. The Policeman was off duty at the time when he noticed the unusual ‘Beings’ in the field.

The Police Officer pulled his car over and walked over to the field to see what was going on as he apparently had a ‘strange’ feeling about what he was seeing. However, as he approached the ‘men’ – who were all way over 6ft tall with long blond hair – he suddenly heard “the sound of static electricity” and the trio ran away ”faster than any man he had ever seen” so fast that it apparently almost seemed ‘unreal’.

Leaving the scene of the strange event the Police Officer jumped quickly back into his car and travelled back home to Marlborough, Wiltshire, and then contacted paranormal experts and told them he had spotted a UFO.

Not surprisingly the Police force that the Officer works for, refused to comment at the time and stated “That it was a personal matter!”

The unnamed Police Officer asked for support off a Gentleman called Andrew Russell who is a Crop Circle Investigator. Andrew described in detail what the Police officer saw on that unusual day:

”At first he thought they were forensic officers as they were dressed in white coveralls. He stopped his car and approached the field. ‘The figures were all over 6ft and had blond hair. They seemed to be inspecting the crop. When he got to the edge of the field he heard what he believed to be a sound not dissimilar to static electricity.

”This crackling noise seemed to be running through the field and the crop was moving gently, close to where the noise was.

”He shouted to the figures who, at first, ignored him, not glancing at him. When he tried to enter the field they looked up and began running.

”He said; ‘They ran faster than any man I have ever seen. I’m no slouch but they were moving so fast. I looked away for a second and when I looked back they were gone.

”I then got scared. The noise was still around but I got an uneasy feeling and headed for the car. For the rest of the day I had a pounding headache I couldn’t shift.”

This strange incident happened on July 6th as the Police Officer was driving down the road. Apparently the three very tall figures were inspecting the odd-shaped Crop Circle in the field. They all appeared deeply interested and analysing the Crop Circle – was it them who made it, or possibly was it their fellow colleagues from a far!?

The crop circle had been there in the field for a few days before this incident.

2009 was a very popular year for Crop Circles in the Wiltshire area, UK.

When the Police Officer walked over the unusual beings, they suddenly become ‘disturbed’ looking and ran off at speeds beyond the Officers belief! As soon as he looked away for a split second they were ‘gone’

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said:

”The police officer was apparently off duty when this happened so we have no comment to make because it is a personal not a police matter.”

Another Crop Circle Expert, Colin Andrews, who investigated the incident alongside Andrew Russell, said he is ”convinced” by the police officer’s story and does not see any reason at all why the Officer would of made this story up!

”I am quite convinced the officer had an experience that day and one that we have not fully explored.”I think with the unusual movement of the being and the poltergeist experiences there is too much additional information to say that is something in nothing.” He said

Some have suspected that this was the Tall White Aliens that the Officer had witnessed. The Tall whites have even been acknowledged by Edward Snowden, who believes that they are very much in contact with Planet Earth and watching our every move.

U.I.P SUMMARY – It is very interesting that this sighting was in Wiltshire, as this is one of the key UFO/Crop Circle areas around the world .Could it possibly be that what this Police Officer saw were the Beings who are responsible for these crop circles being formed around the UK, or perhaps they are just as curious as to ‘what else’ is out there trying to communicate with Earth.

Yes Crop Circles have been deemed by many to be elaborate fakes by students or Drunk Famers at night, but when you actually look at the sheer amount of detail involved to these incredible designs, I personally feel it is impossible for any humans to create such a spectacle over night, in the pitch black of night!

As far as what or WHO these Beings are, is a completely different matter altogether! The way that they have been described sounds just like the Tall White Aliens, and the way they move would kind of confirm that there were no odd-ball humans, but something else, something very unique and different!?

Is it a coincidence that one of the most unknown areas of the world, Stonehenge, is in Wiltshire, and that we have so many unusual sightings in this part of the UK……I don’t think so, and this is why this part of the world is one of THE top UFO Hotspots.

Liquid Mercury Found Under Pyramid at Teotihuacan

After 10 years of research, archaeologists have stumbled upon an unexpected clue to one of the biggest discoveries ever made at the archaeological site of Teotihuacan.

Some months ago Mexico News Network covered the discovery of a 100m long tunnel under the pyramid of the Feathered Serpent. Since then, researchers have recently found “large quantities” of liquid mercury.

It is believed that the mercury had been placed there on purpose. In fact, this metal has been found at three other archeological sites, mostly of the Maya culture. Researchers believe that it may have held ritual significance, perhaps to symbolize some sort of river to the underworld.

Mexican researcher and head of the team, Sergio Gomez stated that this discovery may serve as a guide to what may very well be the first royal tomb to be found in Teotihuacan. Deep in the tunnel there are three chambers and some of them may be the final resting place of a monarch.

Should this be the case, it may shed light on the largely unknown history of this civilization and its political society. At its peak of splendor – between 100 and 700 A.D. – Teotihuacan had a population of around 200,000.

Quoted in El Universal, Mexican archeologist Linda Manzanilla pointed out that Teotihuacan was governed by a council of four “co-rulers”. This might explain the absence of a main palace or the depiction of monarchs on its murals. She also added that what Gomez may have found could be the remains of one of these ancient rulers.

Teotihuacan lacks any written records which leaves little to work with in deciphering the city’s history prior to its abandonment, which is calculated to have taken place in the 7th or 8th century. Even the name “Teotihuacán” (náhuatl for “birthplace of the gods”) was given centuries after the collapse by Aztecs who found the ruins and believed the site to be a sacred place where the gods used to live.

The city, dubbed the abode of the gods in the ancient language Nahuatl, was once the nucleus of an empire. About 200,000 people are thought to have lived there between 100 and 700 A.D., until its residents mysteriously hightailed it away. The city remained largely intact, but much is unknown about its people, how life flourished there and who was in the seat of power. Also unknown is whether power was passed down through a dynasty or if the ruler was an overlord.

Due to thick humidity and mud in the area, few excavations have been attempted at the site. The Spaniards did so in the 17th century, but no real progress was made until the 20th century.

Upon unsealing the tunnel in 2003, Gómez and his team dug up treasures including jaguar remains, enormous seashells, jade statues and rubber balls. The team in November 2014 discovered three chambers at the end of the tunnel, which had remained intact for about 1,800 years.

For now, it’s unclear how the Mesoamericans living in Teotihuacan used the metal. But it’s also been found in other excavations throughout Central America, specifically in Mayan ruins farther south. Mercury, which is highly poisonous, was regarded as a rarity among Mesoamerican people, and may have borne ritualistic significance given its reflective properties.

In an interview with Reuters, Gómez said the mercury, which may have been used to symbolize an underworld body of water, could possibly lead researchers on a path to a royal tomb long believed to sit underneath Teotihuacan. The speculation isn’t mercurial on their part: In Mesoamerican lore, reflective surfaces, such as mirrors, functioned as portals into both the future and as the river that they believed carries us all after death, something not unlike the Styx from Greek mythology.

Much work remains to be in done digging out the tunnel, and with uncoding the hieroglyphics scattered throughout the city. But Gómez believes the team will complete its dig by October, and an announcement of the findings is expected later in 2015.
