Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

Op YouTube is een filmpje verschenen waarin twee UFO’s bij het internationale ruimtestation ISS te zien zouden zijn. De objecten zouden zijn vastgelegd door een camera aan boord van het ISS.
De objecten worden omschreven als twee ‘lichtbollen die onder het ISS vliegen’. De maker van de video, Streetcap1, is ervan overtuigd dat ze sneller gaan dan het ISS en het ruimtestation inhalen.
“Ze verdwijnen uiteindelijk in de rechterhoek van het scherm,” zei hij. “De camera kan ze niet bijhouden.” De twee ‘lichtbollen’ bewegen van links naar rechts door het scherm en lijken het ISS te volgen.
Het lijkt in eerste instantie alsof ze boven de wolken vliegen, maar die verdwijnen langzaam uit beeld, waarna ze tegen de donkere achtergrond te zien zijn. Sommigen beweren dat het filmpje een hoax is, maar Streetcap1 zegt alleen kleuren te hebben aangepast.
De gemiddelde snelheid van het ISS bedraagt 27.744 kilometer per uur. In ongeveer 91,2 minuten draait het ruimtestation om de aarde.
Drie weken geleden ging een filmpje van drie UFO’s bij het ISS viraal. Dat NASA de livefeed na enkele seconden onderbrak, was koren op de molen van complottheoretici. Sommigen claimden dat het een bewuste actie was als onderdeel van een cover-up. De officiële verklaring was dat er op dat moment een signaalstoring was.
Er zijn in de afgelopen jaren meerdere video’s van vermeende UFO’s bij het ISS verschenen. In een aantal gevallen werd het beeld onderbroken. Tussen oktober 2014 en januari dit jaar zijn er tenminste vier van dit soort video’s gepubliceerd. Er zouden dagelijks twee tot zes lichtbollen langs het ISS vliegen.

Op YouTube zijn een aantal filmpjes geplaatst waarin wordt beweerd dat Marsrover Curiosity bewijs voor prehistorisch leven heeft gevonden op de rode planeet. Er zouden onder meer gefossiliseerde resten en prehistorische gereedschappen zijn gevonden.
Curiosity verkent het Marsoppervlak en stuurt van tijd tot tijd foto’s terug naar de aarde. Sommige daarvan worden vrijgegeven door de NASA. Op het YouTube-kanaal Martian Archaeology verschijnen video’s van onderzoekers die door de talloze beelden van Mars spitten, op zoek naar bewijs voor buitenaards leven.
In een video, gemaakt door Alien Life, wordt geclaimd dat er op Mars skeletresten in een rots en een door een humanoïde gemaakt apparaat zijn gevonden. Volgens sommigen gaat het om ‘botten’, terwijl iemand anders zei dat het rotsen zijn.
In andere video’s zouden botten, een gefossiliseerde vis en prehistorische gereedschappen te zien zijn. De reageerders zijn verdeeld. “Ongetwijfeld een fossiel,” zegt iemand. “Het zou een buitenaards wezen kunnen zijn,” reageert iemand anders. Een derde persoon zegt: “Mensen zien wat ze willen zien. Dit is duidelijk een unieke rotsformatie.”
Volgens voormalig NASA-wetenschapper Tim Reyes is hier sprake van pareidolie. “Nu er steeds gedetailleerdere foto’s terugkomen van Mars, zal het verstand het winnen van pareidolie,” zei hij. “Dat lijkt misschien steriel en klinisch, maar dat betekent niet dat we niet langer mogen genieten van deze fascinerende stenen – dinosaurussen, ratten, schedels, menselijke figuren.” NASA zei in een reactie dat op sommige foto’s vreemd gevormde, geërodeerde stenen zijn te zien.
Hoe is het mogelijk dat NASA simpelweg nooit reageert op vragen die mensen hebben over de gigantische objecten naast onze zon.
Ook nu is er weer een ruimteschip ontdekt zo groot als ons land en NASA doet net of hun neus bloedt.
Op 15 juli 2015 werd er op één van SOHO afbeeldingen een enorm ruimteschip waargenomen naast onze zon.
Het zag er ongeveer als volgt uit:
Wanneer je dat schip een beetje dichterbij haalt dan zie je dat dit object een structuur heeft en dus door iets of iemand is gemaakt.
De ontdekker van dit ruimteschip, Youtube gebruiker Streetcap1 zegt dan ook, “Dit object heeft een bepaalde structuur en voor NASA om dit als zijnde niets af te doen, is een belediging voor de intelligentie van het publiek.
Als zij dingen publiceren dan kunnen ze verwachten dat mensen vragen gaan stellen wanneer er vreemde objecten op hun afbeeldingen verschijnen.
Maarja, wat moet NASA zeggen? Ze zijn best slim door helemaal niet te reageren want dan hoeven ze ook niet te liegen.
Dat er zich gigantische ruimteschepen nabij onze zon bevinden, is iets dat ze nooit zullen toegeven.

At first, he believes it was an airplane flying, but he didn’t hear any sound that would support his thinking. According to his description, the speed of each orb is perfectly matched, and none of them is seen leaving the formation. In most cases, the balls are seen with formation because it would be safer for them if they travel in groups. But why are they glowing? Their forward motion makes their shrouded vessels noticeable. One thing is apparent; there is no city that is off-limits to aliens because famous cities like New York are also their tourist attractions. They may walk among the crowds, and you won’t even notice how they look.

Flying saucers have always generated much curiosity among the many giving rise to stories about extraterrestrials or even alien abductions. Unidentified Flying Objects are something that is seen in the sky, which leave the observers wondering about their nature and origin. Whether these objects exist or not is still a debatable topic, as there is no full proof evidence of its existence.
Are aliens travelling our planet? This question is controversial for years. However, the prominent online researcher claims seeing a massive strange and mysterious object that appears to be a huge UFO Mothership. On an image taken by NASA, the object is apparently a collision course with the sun. The NASA is from Solar and Heliospheric Observatory satellite that has taken thousands of pictures, which are being captured of solar flares and other extraordinary phenomena on the star’s surface at the center of the solar system. There is also a satellite called the “SOHO” that led astronomers to discover 3,000 unknown comets hurtling through the solar system. For UFO researchers, the space-based NASA observatory is a goldmine of strange sightings, revealing the most bizarre extraterrestrial vessel ever spotted.
The most extraordinary thing about the vessels being claimed in the NASA SOHO is the fact that they appear to be impermeable to the implausible heat generated. In fact, it would burn any man-made objects to ash in a second. When researcher Scott C. Waring posted the video on strange objects and tried asking NASA about the videos on Twitter. Unfortunately, NASA has not responded. On a YouTube page for NASA Sun video, Streetcap1 describe the object as something that has a structure.
Whether a man-made object or a natural phenomenon, people, can’t change the fact that the alleged object is there hovering in the sky. To remove all doubts, NASA’s response is of utmost importance.
ALIEN investigators hope the release of German government files on historical UFO sightings will be a milestone in their quest for evidence of extra terrestrial life. Following a number of years of legal wrangling, the German Supreme Administrative Court in Leipzig ordered the German Bundestag to release confidential documents about UFOs, that it had tried to keep hidden.
The news has been welcomed by UFO researchers already buoyed by news that the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) will release 18 confidential UFO files to the National Archive next March, although it is still not known when they will be available to the public. In 2008 then German Minister of the Interior Dr Wolfgang Schäuble insisted the German government had never investigated the topic and had no interest in doing so.
However, two years later Robert Fleischer of Exopolitic.org discovered that the scientific service of the German parliament had a department investigating the possibility of extraterrestrial intelligence and UFOs. German blogger Frank Reitemeyer took the Bundestag to court, which fought against the release until now. Information which must be released is an international summary of facts about UFOs and the search for aliens and details of a United Nations (UN) resolution to set up an international UFO research agency. In a video statement, Lions Ground Entertainment Group, which makes paranormal films posted on YouTube, said: “The news is a breakthrough for all UFO hunters and UFO investigators.”
But others fear the records could be quite dry. One YouTube user said: “Call me cynical, but when a government is ordered to hand over docs, I’m skeptical the real original documents will ever be handed over.”

July 20, 2015 - What are the Vimana? Are they ancient flying machines? We have been told that the Wright brothers were the first to fly in 1903. Was it the Wright brothers who managed to turn dream into reality? Or is it possible that the dream of flight, was something present in ancient India, thousands of years ago? Today, Vimana is the name attributed to a flying machine used by the gods of ancient India. The earliest accounts of this amazing civilization are written in Sanskrit thousands of years ago, where different types of Vimanas are referred to. These strange flying machines were used in incredible battles, battles resembling modern-day jet panes engaging into action, but only hundreds of years before Christ. In the Mahabharata, these incredible battles are described. The Vimanas are mentioned forty-one times with sophisticated combat weapons that shoot beams of light.
The ancient texts refer to King Salva attacks against the city of Dwaraka, where the God Krishna lived. Salva leads a flying Vimana called Saubha that has the power to become invisible. Krishna returns the attack with lightning that locates and destroys his enemies through sound.
The Ramayana also makes reference to incredible flying machines, telling the adventures of Princess Sita, kidnapped by the evil Ravana, where a Vimana called Puspaka is mentioned.
According to Dr. V. Raghavan, former professor of Sanskrit at the University of Madras, there are countless documents in Sanskrit, dating back thousands of years, that proved that extraterrestrial beings were in ancient India thousands of years ago. There extraterrestrial visitors were referred to as Gods. And these gods had numerous weapons and technologies that were interpreted by ancient people as heavenly.
But not only due to ancient text have the aerodynamic qualities of these Vimana but there are also texts that talk about how these flying machines can be built. The Ramayana indicates that 16 types of metals are needed to build a Viana, here on Earth we only have three of the metals mentioned in the sacred texts.
According to researchers, these ancient texts also refer to incredible technologies like anti gravity. Dr. Ruth Reyna of the University of Chandrigarh managed to translate some of the texts written in Sanskrit that make reference to "anti-gravitational" forces. Technology that the Yogis developed to "levitate". According to research, the same anti-gravitational force is what allowed the Vimana to move freely through space.
The Viana are mentioned in several other texts, apart from Hindu mythology, indicating that these flying machines of the gods were a possibility thousands of years ago. Doctor Raghavan says that the technology was brought by beings from other planets thousands of years ago at a time when the Anunnaki lived among people and the Sumeria culture flushed in ancient Mesopotamia.
Many Ufologists believe that the Vimana are what we today refer to as "flying saucers". These mysterious vehicles are piloted by otherworldly beings and we can find proof of them in ancient texts across the globe, like the Sanskrit where the flying machines are mentioned in detail. Researchers believe that there are many other texts that have not been translated yet, and hold important details regarding otherworldly visitations and their technology thousands of years ago.
"Those who came from above" is, in Sumerian language, Anunnaki. Ancient Astronaut theorists believe that the Anunnaki showed the Sumerians, then the Babylonians, how to build and manage these sophisticated machines. Some believe that his knowledge extended all the way to ancient India pointing towards the iconography of some Hindu gods and some mythological accounts as being evidence of a possible connection to the ancient Anunnaki.

Robust, green and fresh from the garden of space – romaine lettuce could soon be the dish of the day for the astronauts aboard the International Space Station.
They began growing the crunchy veg earlier this month, and if the conditions are right, they’ll be eating some space-grown lettuce leaves by next month.
This is the second round of space-cultivated crops for the crew as part of the microgravity farm system, cleverly nicknamed “Veggie.” The first batch was sadly sent back to Earth untasted for necessary analysis. NASA found that there were no unwelcome pathogens or contaminants present on the lettuce, making it safe for consumption.
“We were interested to see what the texture of the plants would be like if they don’t have to stand up against gravity,” says NASA science team lead for the Veggie project Gioia Massa to New Scientist. “Maybe they wouldn’t be as crispy or crunchy. But from the crew members’ descriptions it was pretty similar to the plants here on Earth.”
This successful harvest allowed NASA to refine their irrigation systems and to scrutinize the structure of the leaf, given its unusual growth conditions in space.
All astronauts have to be aware of sanitary conditions in space as any contamination with harmful nasties could be potentially threatening for the entire crew. When the new lettuce is ready to pick, the crew will have to sanitize the leaves before tucking in. Massa comments, “The last thing you’d want is to get food poisoning in space.”

Massa envisions that the onboard crew could use this plant as an addition to their meals. However, there will be no paired condiments for this space-grown salad as Massa adds, “We didn’t send up salad dressing.”
The astronauts will sample a few leaves for themselves before sending the rest back to Earth for more tests.
And with more plants planned to be harvested, the Veggie project could be used to grow fresh foods in space for astronauts on future missions.
BreakthroughListen De Russische miljardair Joeri Milner stelt 100 miljoen dollar (ruim 92 miljoen euro) ter beschikking voor onderzoek naar buitenaards leven. Hij maakte dit vandaag samen met de beroemde Britse natuurkundige Stephen Hawking in Londen bekend. Het team kan tien jaar aan de slag.
Bedoeling van het 'Breakthrough Listen Initiative' is de zoektocht naar buitenaards leven te versnellen. Die zoektocht moet gebeuren met twee van 's werelds krachtigste telescopen.
Het programma gaat gebruikmaken van Amerikaanse en Australische telescopen om de 1 miljoen sterren die het dichtst bij de aarde staan te monitoren. "Dit wordt het meest krachtige, uitgebreide en intensieve wetenschappelijk onderzoek dat ooit ondernomen werd naar signalen van intelligent leven", klinkt het.
Er wordt een apart programma opgericht om een wedstrijd te financieren waarmee 'Breakthrough Messages' opgesteld worden. "Die berichten moeten de mensheid en de planeet Aarde voorstellen en moeten ooit eens naar een andere beschaving gestuurd kunnen worden", aldus de organisatie
"Ik ondersteun dit initiatief en de zoektocht naar buitenaards leven", zei Hawking bij de voorstelling in Londen. "In een oneindig universum moeten er sporen van leven zijn. Ergens in de kosmos, misschien, zit intelligent leven."

This is it! $100m Breakthrough Listen is 'largest ever' search for ALIEN civilisations
July 20, 2015 - A pioneering new $100m (£64m) attempt to search the skies for signs of intelligent life has been unveiled by Russian tech investor Yuri Milner, Professor Stephen Hawking and Lord Martin Rees.
Funded by Milner, the Breakthrough Initiative was launched at the Royal Society in London as the largest-ever effort to search for alien civilisations.
The 10 year project will use open data and software, and work with teams at the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia, United States, and the Parkes Telescope in Australia to try to find signals that might be being broadcast by civilisations across the galaxy, whether from planets or machine-based AI.
The Breakthrough Initiative will be a 10-year study using two of the world's largest telescopes, with a $1m (£642,000) prize for anyone able to find evidence of aliens. A larger component, Breakthrough Listen, will widen the search using open data and open source software.
Andrew Siemion, a director at the University of Berkeley’s SETI research centre, said the new search was between 50 and 100 times more powerful than previous attempts.
"This was once a dream, it is now a truly scientific quest," Milner said. "In the 21st century we will find out about life at a galactic scale." The $100m investment is separate to Milner's $160m funding of the Breakthrough Prize, a high-profile science award that recognises major advances.
If a civilisation was broadcasting anything with the power of a "common aircraft radar" from the closest 1,000 stars, the Breakthrough Listen team believe they will find it.
"We believe that life arose spontaneously on Earth, so in an infinite universe there must be other occurrences of life. Somewhere in the cosmos perhaps intelligent life may be watching these lights of ours, aware of what they mean," said Professor Hawking at the launch. "It’s time to commit to finding the answer to search for life beyond Earth. The Breakthrough Initiate is making that commitment."
"It is sure to bear fruit," Hawking said. "If a search of this scale and sophistication finds no evidence of intelligence out there it will be a very interesting result. It will not prove that we are alone, but it will narrow the possibilities."
"It is important for us to know if we are alone in the dark."
At the launch, Astronomer Royal Lord Rees described the project as a "huge gamble" and said "no one would count on success", but said the payoff "would be colossal". He speculated any alien life discovered could he organic, or "machines created by long long-dead civilisation".
"The chance of success is small," he said -- but there are good reasons why the project could succeed where previous attempts -- such as the 55-year SETI project -- have so far failed.
"Technology allows much more sensitive searches than could be done before and the latest instrumentation, not biggest telescopes, will be able to hugely extend what's been done [before]," he said.
"The chance of finding life has risen a billion-fold when we realised that Earth-like planets are not rare, but that there are literally billions of them in our own galaxy [...] This is a time when citizen science and social media allow the project to have a real global reach in a way it never could before."
Frank Drake, who famously used a 85-foot radio telescope in the first large-scale attempt to find signals from alien life, and founded SETI, said the new project was "important in a very profound sense". He said "major developments in digital technology" meant the project was the best-ever chance to find signs of life. "It is a great, great milestone, it might take a long time but it's our best chance," he said.
Announcing the project, Milner said a separate initiative called Breakthrough Message would be launched to study the ethics of sending messages into space, and depending on the results to create and send messages to other civilisations in space.
The Green Bank Telescope is the world's largest steerable radio telescope, and one of three telescopes Breakthrough Listen will use extensively in its groundbreaking search for extraterrestrial intelligence.
SETI—the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence—has been one of the most captivating areas of science since its inception in 1960, when the astronomer Frank Drake used an 85-foot radio telescope in the first-ever attempt to detect interstellar radio transmissions sent by beings outside our solar system. Yet despite its high public visibility and near-ubiquity in blockbuster Hollywood science fiction, throughout most of its 55-year history SETI has languished on the fringes of scientific research, garnering relatively scant funding and only small amounts of dedicated observation time on world-class telescopes.
Today, in a live webcast originating from London and set for 6:30 am Eastern, the Russian entrepreneur Yuri Milner, along with the physicist Stephen Hawking, is announcing his intentions to change that. Watch the live streamed event below, starting at 6:30 am.
Although Milner has made his name—and billions of dollars—through investments in Facebook, Alibaba, and many other tech start-ups, his true passion is science, which he has demonstrated through his formation of the Breakthrough Prize Foundation. This organization awards the world's most lavish scientific prizes. Milner's latest project is part of the Foundation's new Breakthrough Initiatives division and is called Breakthrough Listen. Providing $100 million in funding over the next decade to top SETI researchers, Breakthrough Listen will allow new state-of-the-art radio and optical surveys to take place using the world's premiere telescopes, creating the most ambitious and robust SETI program yet performed. The project is set to begin making observations in 2016.
Following the live webcast, Milner and distinguished scientists participating in Breakthrough Listen will conduct a media teleconference to discuss the new project and answer questions. Scientific American will continue to follow this story as it develops.

De Britse wetenschapper en kosmoloog Steven Hawking heeft zijn steun toegezegd aan een project om op zoek te gaan naar intelligent leven buiten de aarde. Het gaat om het grootste project ooit waarin gescand wordt naar 'aliens' van buitenaardse beschavingen.
Wetenschappers gaan een nieuwe poging doen om intelligent buitenaards leven te vinden. Het 10-jarig project heet Breakthrough Listen en wordt gefinancierd door de Russische miljardair Joeri Milner. Het is een veel intensievere zoektocht dan ooit eerder is ondernomen.
Milner steekt 100 miljoen dollar in het project, zo maakte hij bekend op een persconferentie in Londen. Boegbeeld van het onderzoek is de Britse natuurkundige Stephen Hawking, die duidelijk maakte dat er in een oneindig universum als het onze meer vormen van leven moeten zijn.

News States: ROCKLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — A Rockland man uploaded a video on YouTube of, what he calls, an unidentified flying object (UFO), and it’s causing a lot of local chatter. Ty Pendleton took the video on June 14 around 9 p.m. at his home in Rockland. Three lights in the sky caught his attention, so he decided to take a video of it. At first, Pendleton said he thought it was an airplane, but didn’t hear any sound. As seen in the video, the three lights move in unison. Pendleton said he believes those three lights are a UFO. “Nobody can seem to explain what the image is. Nobody can explain it, so that’s one reason why I definitely think it’s a UFO,” he said. While astronomers are fascinated with the idea of UFOs and life on other planets, a director at UMaine’s Astronomy Center is a bit skeptical about the video. “I think it’s probably not an alien spacecraft that’s come to visit us, but there could be any number of explanations, just the weather here on earth can get kinda crazy, so it could be any number of things and we definitely can’t make the leap to ‘Oh, it must be aliens,’” said Scott Mitchell, the Center’s director.
Tesla believed he received alien messages at the end of the nineteenth century
It is not a secret that there are numerous inventions of Tesla that have been attributed to other ”inventors”, among these inventions are the radio and the first machine capable of searching for extraterrestrial life.
The FBI seized documents including numerous inventions that were way ahead of Teslas time, possible secret technology, including a version of its famous wireless transmitter that could send radio waves focused to distant points of the solar system.
While Tesla’s genius is indisputable, some people question whether his mind became delusional at some option. What is true is that Tesla was interested, throughout his life, in developing technology to contact extraterrestrial intelligence and believed that, at least in one occasion, he had detected an alien signal.
Since 1896, Tesla believed that a version of his famous wireless transmitter could be used to contact intelligent beings on other planets.
In the summer of 1899, while working in his laboratory in Colorado Springs, Tesla believed to have observed a series of numerical codes in cosmic radio signals, which he interpreted as a sign of intelligence that originated from pants inside our solar system.
But is it possible that Tesla did in fact receive an extraterrestrial message? If so where did it come from?
Tesla was asked by the Red Cross to predict man’s greatest possible achievement over the next century. The letter below was his reply.

Faint and uncertain though they were, they have given me a deep conviction and foreknowledge, that ere long all human beings on this globe, as one, will turn their eyes to the firmament above, with feelings of love and reverence, thrilled by the glad news:

Curiously, Tesla wasn’t the only one who believed he received messages from otherworldly beings. Marconi, referred to by history as the inventor of the radio, even thought Tesla patented it a couple of years sooner than Marconi, also received “messages” from other planets, but Marconi’s messages were dismissed as a simple interference. Tesla’s case was more complex.
In 1937, Nikola Tesla announced:
“I have devoted much of my time during the year past to the perfecting of a new small and compact apparatus by which energy in considerable amounts can now be flashed through interstellar space to any distance without the slightest dispersion.” (New York Times, Sunday, 11 July 1937.)
Interestingly, In the 1970′s L.G. Lawrence (field manager of the Ecola Institute) revealed a communication with Extraterrestrial Beings:
“On October 29, 1971… while conducting exploratory RBS [Remote Biological Sensing] experiments in Riverside County, CA, our field instrumentation’s organic transducer complex intercepted a train of apparently intelligent communication signals (tight spacing and discrete pulse intervals) while accidentally allowed to remain pointed at the constellation Ursa Major during a short rest period. The phenomenon prevailed for somewhat over 33 minutes….
“A somewhat similar phenomenon was observed on April 10, 1972… The apparent signals, aside from seemingly growing weaker, appear to be transmitted at great intervals ranging from weeks to months, possibly years. A faint, coherent , binary-type phenomenon was noted during aural monitoring… Intervals between rapid series of pulse trains ranged from… 3 to 10 minutes…”
Secrets of the Universe
In the 1980′s engineer Greg Hodowanec was able to confirm some of Tesla’s claims based on his own theory of Rhysmonic Cosmology while experimenting with a Gravity Wave Detector (GWD) of his own design.
By 1988, Hodowanec stated that:
“…Such signals are being received today with simple modern-day scalar-type signal detectors… coherent modulations are being ‘heard’ in [the microwave] background radiation. The most prominent modulations being three pulses (code S) slightly separated in time, a la Tesla! On occasions, the code equivalents of an E, N, A, or K, are also heard, but the most persistent response is SE, SE, etc.
“Any l/f type noise detector will respond to this background modulation. However, the experimenter must be careful that he is not creating these responses at the ‘local’ level by his own or other local actions. For example, the detectors will also respond to heart beats, breathing actions, local movements, as well as possible psychic effects. The detectors are easy to make and the experimenter should easily reproduce these results.”

I do like old newspapers because they often show coincidences. The following is fromThe Montreal Gazette in 1924. It’s a report on the Royal Astronomical Society, Montreal Branch, when a Professor A.S Eve gave a talk.
Mars has two suitably sized moons of its own, and Dear Swift, when he wrote Gulliver’s Travels, had one of his imaginary characters mention the fact. Yet, at the time Swift lived, no one knew scientifically that Mars had moons. “I said to a certain lady I thought this a strange coincidence,” remarked Professor Eve, who lectured at McGill University last night before the Royal Astronomical Society. “She was, by the way, a lady with a strong spiritualistic tendencies. Her answer was, ‘Not at all, Swift’s astral body had been there.’” The professor added he thought it a pity Swift’s astral body had not traversed the entire solar system – it would have saved students of heavenly mysteries much trouble.
Just to clarify Mars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos, and these were discovered in 1877 by Asaph Hall. Jonathan Swift wrote Gulliver’s Travel’s in 1726 (amended 1735). And what about Laputa, the flying Island, in Gulliver’s Travels – not a UFO surely! Other Random Posts:

Just over 2,000 reports of unidentified flying objects in Manitoba over the past 200 years. The earliest documented UFO encounter in Manitoba came in 1792 from two explorers in the northern area, who say they saw several bizarre meteors crash into the ice. A new report suggests UFO sightings in Manitoba are older than the province itself. Ufology Research, based in Winnipeg, says there have been just over 2,000 reports of unidentified flying objects in Manitoba over the past 200 years. Chris Rutkowski has been researching the phenomenon for 25 years, compiling an annual Canadian survey of sightings. He says records from the government, the RCMP and the United States show Manitoba has a long history of sightings. “It’s not a recent phenomenon,” he said. “It’s not a phenomenon that’s a product of television and movies that are going on right now. These things go back quite a number of years. People have been fascinated with things in the sky and wondering, ‘Are we alone in the universe?”‘
The earliest documented encounter came in 1792 from two explorers, David Thompson and Andrew Davy, who were in northern Manitoba where they said they saw several bizarre meteors crash into the ice. Thompson’s diary details how the two were surprised one night by a brilliant “meteor of globular form” that “appeared” larger than the moon.” “It struck the river ice, with a sound like a mass of jelly, was dashed into innumerable luminous pieces and instantly expired,” the diary says. “The next morning we went to see what marks this meteor had made on the ice, but could not discover that a single particle was marked.” Rutkowski says other sightings were reported by police, pilots and average people, who saw everything from unusual lights in the sky and flying saucers to silver-suited aliens. The witness reports, which have common themes and descriptions, suggest “we are being visited,” Rutkowski said. “That doesn’t mean that aliens are invading Canada in any way, but it simply means there are unusual reports of things in the sky,” he said. “It certainly says that we probably are not alone in the universe and that there probably are some sort of alien civilizations out there somewhere but there is no proof of that.” Ufology Research’s 2014 Canadian survey detailed more than 1,000 UFO cases reported in Canada. The latest report on Manitoba sightings found most occurred during the summer months, between 10 p.m. and midnight.
