Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.
This is our new dog Kira, a cross between a water dog and a Podenko. She has been with us since February 7, 2024 and is busy winning our hearts. She is a sweet, affectionate dog who quickly adapted to us within a week. She is very quick and curious, a very different dog than Noleke.

A Michigan witness recalls a UFO incident from 1966 in Carson City when she and a friend stepped into a local field and discovered a disc UFO on the ground, according to testimony in Case 63749 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness remembers that it was a clear day when she and her cousin – both 7 years old – entered a small enclosed field along the edge of town and saw the UFO on the ground.
“There were some pieces of metal along the tree line from a tornado and at first I thought it was one of those,” the witness stated.
But then the object moved.
“We approached and it zipped up in a zigzag manner. It was silver and had a little bit of heat wave shimmer. I don’t remember any features as it happened quickly.”
The witnesses’ mother recalls the children returned home “wound up” and she went back to the field to investigate their claims.
“She found a flattened, burnt area with holes like a coffee can was shoved in the ground.”
The witnesses does not recall being afraid of the UFO or the experience.
“I don’t remember being afraid, but I was scared of the fuel oil tank on legs after that and kept dreaming about a long, flat chicken coop back there.”
The witness provided one original illustration of the event with the MUFON report, which was filed on March 5, 2015.
Carson City is a city in Montcalm County, MI, population 1,093.
Michigan is currently a UFO Alert Level 5 – with 0.71 sightings per million population based on MUFON February 2015 statistics. Michigan received a total of seven UFO reports in February.

March 19, 2015 approximately 12:30 hrs. I finished lunch after a morning at work and sat down for a few minutes to take photos along Ruta Cerrito Sur, which is clearly visible from my backyard. I must've taken some 150 photos and went about reviewing them. Look what I found…doesn't it look like a flying submarine?

This is craft has no classification. It is of considerable size and was flying from south to north. Its appearance is diffuse – it may perhaps be circular and has on its upper section what appear to be spheres or a light colored ball. I leave it to the viewer's discretion. A new instrument recently went on-line that will help astronomers in the search for intelligent extraterrestrials.
SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) astronomers have scanned the skies with radio telescopes for more than fifty years searching for potential alien communication. Opponents of this method think searching for radio signals is a waste of time and money because extraterrestrial civilizations obviously use something more advanced than radio waves to communicate. This view, of course, is purely speculation. But scientists have been working on new technology for years to expand the search. Now, a new instrument called NIROSETI has been installed at the University of California’s Lick Observatory on Mt. Hamilton near San Jose that allows for near-infrared optical SETI.
Shelley Wright, Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of California, San Diego led the development of the new instrument. She explains that “Infrared light would be an excellent means of interstellar communication.” According to a press release from University of California, San Diego, “NIROSETI will also gather more information than previous optical detectors by recording levels of light over time so that patterns can be analyzed to for potential signs of other civilizations, a record that could be revisited as new ideas about what signals extraterrestrials might send emerge.”
SETI pioneer Frank Drake points out that, in addition to being a much more affordable method of searching for alien communication, infrared signals “are so strong that we only need a small telescope to receive them.” He continues, “Smaller telescopes can offer more observational time, and that is good because we need to search many stars for a chance of success.”

Although this technology isn’t brand new, it has only just been perfected to work mounted to a telescope. Wright explains that she had to wait eight years for “technology to catch up.”
The NIROSESTI instrument installed at Lick Observatory was activated on March 15, 2015.
It is quite possible that the first recorded encounter with the Men in Black occurred right here in West Virginia! However, the location and the date might be a little…unexpected.
Those who study the strange and the unusual are probably very familiar with the period of high strangeness the town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia faced throughout 1966 and 1967. Sightings of the legendary Mothman were also accompanied by tales of hauntings, sightings of other cryptid creatures, enhanced psychic abilities and ESP, and of course…encounters with UFOs and the Men in Black. For those not familiar with the Men in Black (MIB) in short, they are usually described as rather strange gentlemen, wearing dark suits and driving dark cars that often claim to be representatives from the government. They tend to harass UFO witnesses into thinking that what they saw was perfectly natural—and that there is no reason to question the matter further or report it. Many times, these MIBs are described as being rather small in stature and having Asian features, such as olive complexions and slanted eyes.
Researcher John Keel covered the weirdness of Point Pleasant extensively and wrote several books about or containing stories and theories about just what was happening in this small town by the river. He himself was harassed by the Men in Black, and his writings on them really were instrumental in bringing the phenomenon to the mainstream. But…these sightings in the mid-1960s weren't the EARLIEST sightings of MIB in the Mountain State.
Those with an interest in UFO lore probably are also quite familiar with the 1952 Flatwoods Monster sighting, in which a group of kids, accompanied by the mother of two of the boys witnessed what many believe today to have been a downed UFO and/or its spooky inhabitant. While I'm personally not familiar with any Men in Black sightings associated with this case, the Braxton County UFO crash of 1952 is significant to this tale because…IT WASN'T THE FIRST TIME A UFO CRASHED IN BRAXTON COUNTY, WV!!
The following tale comes from John Keel's 1978 book, The Cosmic Question. On pages 148-150, Keel relates the story told to him in 1967 from a retired newsman living in Weston, WV named John Cole. In May of 1924, John Cole was called in to investigate the site of a possible airplane crash near Gem, Braxton County, WV and had a run-in with what were probably early Men in Black. I've provided a link to the actual book, but here's a condensed version as posted on Reddit:
The late and groundbreaking Ufologist John Keel (John Alva Kiehl) reported a bizarre possible crash & retrieval case which involved strange characters, perhaps precursors of the modern day M.I.B. The incident is said to have occurred one afternoon in May of 1924 near the small town of Gem, West Virginia:
A farmer outside Gem in monster haunted Braxton County reported seeing an ‘airplane’ crash in a forest. Planes were a very rare sight in those days especially in West Virginia, and a crashing plane was big news. According to the farmer, the plane was very odd in that it didn’t seem to have any wings, didn’t make any noise and seemed unusually large. “As big as a battleship” is the way the farmer described it. A party of men, including the local sheriff and local newsman John Cole systematically searched the woods. Within hours they found the wreck in a small clearing.
According to Cole: “We weren’t the first ones there, though. There were already five or six men in the clearing. Some of them were dressed in black business suits, neckties and all, and that seemed damned silly in that neck of the woods”. Others were dressed in coveralls of a funny color—some kind of very shiny material. They were talking among themselves in a rapid-fire foreign language when they found them. They got real excited when they saw the search party. The men in coveralls ran into the wreck—like they were trying to hide. Some of the men in the search party were carrying guns and one of them said to Cole, “By God, they’re spies!” and he raised his gun. The strangers were all small, just a little over five feet tall, and they all looked like Orientals, with high cheekbones, slanted eyes, and dark skin. One of them spoke English. He told the men nobody was hurt, that everything was all right. He said he would call on the sheriff later and make out a complete report. There wasn’t much they could do. No crime had been committed. Nobody was hurt.
According to Cole while he was looking around he spotted a ‘little thingamajig” on the ground. He picked it up and decided to keep it. He doesn’t know why he just didn’t turn it over to one of “foreigners”. He put it in his pocket. They all finally went away, leaving the foreigners to fuss with their contraption. It didn’t look like much of a flying machine. It fact, Cole didn’t think it could fly at all. It was like a fuselage of a modern plane, with windows and all. But it didn’t have any wings, tail or propellers. And like the farmer said, it was mighty big. According to Cole at least seventy five feet long, it filled the whole clearing. He went back home in Weston and went right to bed. He was pretty tired from all the day’s hiking. About three a. m. somebody started pounding on his door. He got up and looked and there was an army officer standing there. He was dressed in one of those broad-brimmed hats they used to wear, with those leg wrappings and all. It was a U.S. Army uniform, but except for his clothes he looked just like those foreigners from the airplane. Slant eye, dark skin, but he was maybe a little taller. ‘You picked up something today,’ he said. ‘We need it back.’ Cole was half asleep and at first he couldn’t think what he meant. Then he remembered the metal ‘thingamajig” It was still in his coat pocket. Cole went and got it. “Is this what you mean?” He asked him. He didn’t answer; he just grabbed it and walked off without a word. He didn’t, seem to have a horse or a car. Cole shuffled back to bed. But the next day he started wondering about it. How had the supposed officer managed to track him down? A couple of days later he went back to those woods and found that clearing. It was empty. The grass and bushes were all crushed down where the airplane had been but there was no other sign of anything or anybody. After the Army ‘officer’ came by Cole figured that maybe it was a secret Army deal of some kind and he thought it was better to leave it alone.
INCREDIBLE ALIEN CLOSE ENCOUNTER IN FINLAND JANUARY 7, 1970 …… IMJARVI FINLAND
Near Imjarvi, Finland – January 7, 1970 – 16:45Aarno Heinonen and Esko Viljo saw a bright light in the sky approaching them with a buzzing sound. A round 10-foot wide metallic object with a flat bottom, wrapped at first in a reddish gray mist, descended to within 10-12 ft of the ground, and the buzzing ceased. It was so close to Heinonen that he could have touched it with his ski pole. From an opening in the center of the object’s bottom, a bright light beam was the emitted, creating an illuminated area of 3 ft in diameter on the snow beneath it, edged with black. A red gray mist descended again; when it cleared both men could see, only 10 feet away, a 3-foot tall humanoid creature standing in the illuminated area, carrying in its hands a black box with a pulsating yellow light. The arms and legs were very thin, the face pale like wax, and the nose hooked; it wore a light green coverall with darker green knee boots, white gauntlets, and a conical metallic helmet. Then the mist again descended, and long red, green and purple “sparks” floated out from the lighted area. A sort of flame rose from this spot and entered the UFO; then the mist vanished, as did the UFO.
After this experience, Heinonen found his right leg numb, vomited, and passed black urine; Viljo also suffered severe physiological effects. The former would claim, two years later, a series of contacts with a female spacewoman. ‘I was standing completely still. Suddenly I felt as if somebody had seized my waist from behind and pulled me backwards. I think I took a step backwards, and in the same second I caught sight of the creature. It was standing in the middle of the light beam with a black box in its hands. Out of a round opening in the box there came a yellow light, which was pulsating…’ The time was 4.45 pm on Wednesday 7 January 1970, the place was lmjarvi, 15 km NW of Heinola in southern Finland.
Woodman Aarno Heinonen, 36, and farmer Esko Viljo, 38, both active competition skiers, were out skiing. They came down from a little hill to a glade where they usually take a pause. It was sunset, and a few stars were visible in the unclouded sky. It was very cold (-17 Celsius) and windless. They had been standing in the glade for about 5 minutes when they heard a buzzing sound, and caught sight of a very strong light moving through the sky. It approached from the north, made a wide sweep, and came at them from the south, descending as it came. The faint buzzing sound became louder. The light halted, and then they could see that a luminous red-grey mist was swirling round it. Puffs of smoke were thrown up from the top of the cloud.
The two men stood quite still staring into the air, saying nothing. The cloud was soon down as low as 15 m, and they could see what was inside it: a round object, flat at the bottom, metallic in appearance and about 3 m in diameter. Heinonen’s account, as reported by GICOFF (the Goteberg UFO information centre) runs: ‘The round craft hovered awhile completely motionless above us while the buzzing sound could still be heard, quite low.
Then the huge disc began to descend along with the red-grey fog which became more thin and transparent It stopped at a height of 3-4 m, so near I could have touched it if 1 had reached with my ski-stick. ‘The craft was completely round. When it came down obliquely towards us we saw it had a dome on the upper side. Along the lower edge was a kind of raised part on which were three spheres or domes spaced equidistantly, From the centre of the bottom projected a tube, approximately 25 cm in diameter, from which suddenly there came an intense beam of light. ‘I don’t think we said anything to each other at all. We were completely amazed. We saw the light move a couple of times before stopping and intensely illuminating a patch of snow about a metre in diameter, with round it a dark edge, almost coal-black and 1 cm wide. ‘I was standing completely still. Suddenly I felt as if somebody had seized my waist from behind and pulled me backwards. I think I took a step backwards, and in the same second I caught sight of the creature. It was standing in the middle of the light beam with a black box in its hands. Out of a round opening in the box there came a yellow light, pulsating. The creature was about 90 cm tall, with very thin arms and legs. Its face was pale like wax. I didn’t notice the eyes, but the nose was very strange, it was a hook rather than a nose. The ears were very small and narrowed towards the head. The creature wore some kind of overall in a light green material. On its feet were boots of a darker green colour, which stretched above the knees. There were also white gauntlets going up to the elbows, and the fingers were bent like claws around the black box.’ Viljo: ‘The creature stood in the middle of the bright light and was luminous like phosphorus, but its face was very pale. Its shoulders were very thin and slanting, with thin arms like a child’s. I did not think of the clothes, only noticing that they were greenish in colour. On its head was a conical helmet shining like metal. The creature was less than 1 m tall.’ Suddenly it turned and directed the opening of the box towards Heinonen: The pulsating light was very bright, almost blinding. It was very silent in the forest. Suddenly a red-grey mist came flowing down from the object and large sparks started to fly from the illuminated circle of snow. The sparks were like tapers, about 10 cm long, red, green and violet. They floated out in long curves, rather slowly; many of them hit me, but though I expected them to burn me, I did not feel anything.’
Viljo: ‘The sparks were shining in several colours. It was very beautiful. At the same time the red mist became thicker and hid the creature. Suddenly it was so dense that I could not see Aarno even though I knew he was standing only a few metres away from me.” Heinonen: ‘I could only just see Esko. The mist was very thick and I could no longer see the creature.’ Viljo: ‘I saw the being for perhaps 15-20 seconds, no longer. Suddenly the beam melted, flew up like a flickering flame, and was sucked into the gap in the craft. After that it was as if the fog curtain was torn to pieces. The air above us was empty! I don’t think you can say we were afraid. We were laughing and talking about this light. But at the same time we felt a little uneasy.” They stayed there for perhaps three minutes, Gradually Heinonen became aware of a numbness in his right side. When he stepped forward on his skis, his right leg wouldn’t support him and he fell in the snow. ‘My right leg had been nearest the light. The whole leg was stiff and aching. My foot was as if anaesthetised.’ Viljo: It was growing dark. I asked Aarno if we should be on our way. I thought he was joking when he sat down in the snow. But then I saw he couldn’t get up though he tried over and over again.’
Domestic UFO sighting reports for the U.S. were up 44.5 percent in January 2015 over December reports filed.
Wyoming was the high reporting state by population with 3.47 sightings per million population and registering as a UFO Alert 2, according to witness reporting statistics released February 1, 2015, from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).
New Mexico was the next highest reporting level by population – also earning a UFO Alert 2 with 3.36 sightings per million population.
Alaska was the only state rated a UFO Alert 3 with 2.73 reports per million population.
Four states were rated a UFO Alert 4 with the following statistics based on per million population: Oregon, 2.56; Utah, 2.45; Arizona, 2.44; and Missouri, 2.16. All other states received less than 2 sightings per million population and were ranked a UFO Alert 5.
As the highest reporting state per million residents, Wyoming received two reports.
There were a total of 575 U.S. reports filed in January 2015 compared with 398 in December 2014. Total worldwide sightings were 721 for January 2015 and 498 for December 2014.

This new video of the phenomenon called “Flying Humanoid” is part of a series of sightings since November 2010, I have been researching in Peru. This video was recorded on Friday, March 6th, 2015 at 6:15 pm by the young radio producer and television Cesar Rodriguez in the middle of the selvatic city of Puerto Maldonado,in Madre de Dios, south of Perú. According to the history of the witness, the sighting lasted about five minutes, in which the phenomenon had a human form, with head, trunk, arms and legs flying over the city, disappearing raised and lost in the clouds.

Toen Jimmy Carter in de aanloop naar de presidentsverkiezingen campagne voerde, beloofde hij alles te zullen openbaren wat de overheid wist over het UFO-fenomeen. Volgens Holcombe heeft hij deze belofte echter nooit waargemaakt.
Holcombe meent dat Kennedy, die de CIA om informatie over UFO’s vroeg, bezorgd was dat de VS en de Sovjet-Unie UFO’s zouden kunnen verwarren met een nucleaire aanval. Hij zou deze kwestie hebben besproken met Sovjetleider Nikita Chroestsjov.
Hij citeerde een topgeheim CIA-document uit de tijd dat Kennedy president was, waarin valt te lezen: “Als de omstandigheden ongunstig worden voor groei en Washington niet verder beïnvloed kan worden, moet het ‘nat’ worden.”
Omdat ‘nat’ Sovjet-code was voor ‘moord’, denkt Holcombe dat het codetaal van de CIA was voor een plan om Kennedy uit de weg te ruimen, omdat hij overwoog de wereld te vertellen dat aliens bestaan.

Astronomers have expanded the search for extraterrestrial intelligence into a new realm with detectors tuned to infrared light. Their new instrument has just begun to scour the sky for messages from other worlds.
"Infrared light would be an excellent means of interstellar communication," said Shelley Wright, an Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of California, San Diego who led the development of the new instrument while at the University of Toronto's Dunlap Institute for Astronomy & Astrophysics.
Pulses from a powerful infrared laser could outshine a star, if only for a billionth of a second. Interstellar gas and dust is almost transparent to near infrared, so these signals can be seen from greater distances. It also takes less energy to send the same amount of information using infrared signals than it would with visible light.
The idea dates back decades, Wright pointed out. Charles Townes, the late UC Berkeley scientist whose contributions to the development of lasers led to a Nobel Prize, suggested the idea in a paper published in 1961.
Scientists have searched the heavens for radio signals for more than 50 years and expanded their search to the optical realm more than a decade ago. But instruments capable of capturing pulses of infrared light have only recently become available.

"We had to wait," Wright said, for technology to catch up. "I spent eight years waiting and watching as new technology emerged."
Three years ago while at the Dunlap Institute, Wright purchased newly available detectors and tested them to see if they worked well enough to deploy to a telescope. She found that they did. Jérome Maire, a Fellow at the Dunlap, "turned the screws," Wright said, playing a key role in the hands-on effort to develop the new instrument, called NIROSETI for near-infrared optical SETI.
NIROSETI will also gather more information than previous optical detectors by recording levels of light over time so that patterns can be analyzed to for potential signs of other civilizations, a record that could be revisited as new ideas about what signals extraterrestrials might send emerge.
Because infrared light penetrates farther through gas and dust than visible light, this new search will extend to stars thousands rather than merely hundreds of light years away. And the success of the Kepler Mission, which has found habitable planets orbiting stars both like and unlike our own, has prompted the new search to look for signals from a wider variety of stars.
NIROSETI has been installed at the University of California's Lick Observatory on Mt. Hamilton east of San Jose and saw first light on March 15.

Lick Observatory has been the site of several previous SETI searches including an instrument to look in the optical realm, which Wright built as an undergraduate student at UC Santa Cruz under the direction of Remington Stone, the director of operations at Lick at that time. Dan Werthimer and Richard Treffers of UC Berkeley designed that first optical instrument. All three are playing critical roles in the new search.
NIROSETI could uncover new information about the physical universe as well. “This is the first time Earthlings have looked at the universe at infrared wavelengths with nanosecond time scales,” Werthimer said. “The instrument could discover new astrophysical phenomena, or perhaps answer the question of whether we are alone.”

The group also includes SETI pioneer Frank Drake of the SETI Institute and UC Santa Cruz who serves as a senior advisor to both past and future projects and is an active observer at the telescope.
Drake pointed out several additional advantages to a search in this new realm. “The signals are so strong that we only need a small telescope to receive them. Smaller telescopes can offer more observational time, and that is good because we need to search many stars for a chance of success.” he said. The receivers are also much more affordable that those used on radio telescopes.
“There is only one downside: the extraterrestrials would need to be transmitting their signals in our direction,” Drake said, though he sees a positive side to that limitation. “If we get a signal from someone who’s aiming for us, it could mean there’s altruism in the universe. I like that idea. If they want to be friendly, that’s who we will find.”
The NIROSETI team also includes Geoffrey Marcy and Andrew Siemion from UC Berkeley; Patrick Dorval, a Dunlap undergraduate, and Elliot Meyer, a Dunlap graduate student. Shelley Wright is also a member of the Center for Astrophysics and Space Sciences at UC San Diego. Richard Treffers is now at Starman Systems. Funding for the project comes from the generous support of Bill and Susan Bloomfield.

Une spectaculaire vidéo récemment réalisée à la Nouvelle-Orléans (Louisiane) laisse deviner une forme très mystérieuse au coeur du halo solaire. Elle déclenche toutes les spéculations.
Les images ont été tournées par "JBG", un chasseur de phénomènes paranormaux qui, depuis 2012, filme les "chemtrails" : ces traces de vapeur laissées dans le sillage des avions qui seraient en fait des épandages de produits chimiques coordonnés par des puissances occultes à des fins mystérieuses.
Cette théorie ne trouve guère d'écho au sein de la communauté scientifique, mais cela n'émousse en rien la motivation de ce passionné qui s'intéresse aussi aux "Cloaked Cloud Crafts", catégorie d'OVNIS qui se dissimuleraient dans les nuages. Le 15 février dernier, il continuait ainsi à filmer l'azur inlassablement pour tenter de démontrer ses théories hétérodoxes.
OVNI, Bouddha ou Vierge Marie ?
Or, c'est un phénomène très mystérieux qui a été immortalisé sur cette vidéo, à supposer qu'elle soit bien authentique. En effet, dans le halo du soleil, bas à l'horizon, est apparue une forme très troublante. Bien plus précise que les ombres et formes improbables que ces chasseurs de paranormal rapportent d'habitude.
A grand renfort de zooms et de logiciels de traitement d'images, il semble en effet qu'un OVNI, dans la stricte acception du terme, apparaisse au coeur d'une lumière aveuglante. D'apparence triangulaire, certains y ont vu aussi un Bouddha assis en tailleur ou encore la Vierge Marie. S'il n'est pas certain que ces différentes hypothèses soient validées, on attend toujours une explication rationnelle.
