Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

De groeiende vraag naar ruimtetoerisme en de groeiende industrie van ruimtevliegtuigen, zet de Britse regering ertoe aan om te beginnen aan hun eigen ruimtehaven. Binnen 15 jaar zouden de eerste ruimtereizen vanuit Groot-Brittannië van start kunnen gaan.
Het Verenigd Koninkrijk wil 62 miljoen euro vrijmaken voor de ruimtehaven en meent dat ruimtetoerisme elk jaar 48 miljoen euro kan opbrengen. Tegen 2030 zal de industrie van ruimtevliegtuigen ongeveer 25 miljard euro waard zijn.
Vanaf 2016 kan de ruimtehaven al operationeel zijn en de eerste vlucht rond de aarde kan al in 2018 realiteit zijn. Een ruimtevliegtuig zal tegen 2030 operationeel worden, wat ruimtetoerisme vanuit Groot-Brittannië dus mogelijk zal maken.
Geschikte plek De U.K. Space Agency is nog op zoek naar een geschikte plek voor een ruimtehaven. Die selectie zal eind 2016 worden gemaakt. Momenteel is er sprake van acht sites in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, zes daarvan liggen in Schotland, eentje in Wales en een in Engeland.
Virgin Galactic van Richard Branson, een mogelijke gebruiker van de toekomstige ruimtehaven, verkiest een plek in Schotland, Lossiemouth. Ook uit een rapport uit 2009 blijkt Lossiemouth de meest geschikte plaats.
Referendum In september wordt in Schotland een referendum gehouden over de mogelijke onafhankelijkheid van Schotland. Dat referendum kan roet in het eten gooien, waardoor enkele toplocaties van de lijst zouden moeten geschrapt worden. Een recente peiling wijst echter uit dat slechts 34 procent van de Schotten een onafhankelijk Schotland willen.
Een markonderzoek toont aan dat in het eerste jaar 120 toeristen zich in de ruimte zullen wagen, drie jaar later zijn dat er al 150. Tegen het tiende jaar zal dat aantal opgelopen zijn tot 400. De jaarlijkse inkomsten voor het ruimtetoerisme zullen tegen dan opgelopen zijn tot 48 miljoen euro.
Wij kijken alvast uit naar de eerste ruimtetoeristen. Zou jij je ook wagen aan een reis naar de ruimte?
Het is goed mogelijk dat er oude fossielen afkomstig van de aarde op het maanoppervlak liggen te wachten op hun ontdekking. Dat beweren alvast wetenschappers van de Britse University of Kent.
Meteorieten die op aarde worden teruggevonden, ontstaan vaak door inslagen op de maan, of bijvoorbeeld op het oppervlak van Mars. Zo is er de Marssteen ALH 84001, die sporen van fossiele bacteriën vertoont, al is daar onenigheid over tussen wetenschappers. Maar het kan ook omgekeerd, dat er na een inslag op aarde stenen met aardse fossielen op de maan terechtkomen. De vraag die onderzoeker Mark Burchell van de universiteit van Kent zich echter stelde, was of fossielen in gesteente wel zouden kunnen 'overleven' in de ruimte.
Daarom simuleerde hij met zijn onderzoeksteam de inslag van aards gesteente op het maanoppervlak. Daarvoor mengde hij de stenen met water, bevroor het goedje en schoot het met een door gas aangedreven pistool in een grote zak water. De kracht van het pistool moest de impact van een meteoriet op de aarde simuleren, die daardoor de ruimte wordt ingeschoten, waarna de slag in het water de inslag op het maanoppervlak voorstelde.
Succes Uit de experimenten bleek dat geen enkele van de fossielen de inslag volledig 'overleefde' en dat er steeds minder fragmenten van overbleven naargelang de snelheid van de inslag de hoogte inging (tot 5 kilometer per seconde). Maar ook al vinden we enkel het kleinste deeltje terug, dan is dat al een succes, zegt Burchell.
Het voordeel van fossielen op de maan zou zijn dat ze ondanks de inslagsnelheid beter bewaard kunnen zijn dan die op aarde, aangezien onze planeet geologisch veel actiever is. "Er is een grote kans dat wanneer je fragmenten zou vinden op de maan, er dingen inzitten die we nog nooit gezien hebben." Toch blijft het voorlopig afwachten. Stukken aarde kunnen onze planeet maar moeilijk verlaten door de dichte atmosfeer en de grote aantrekkingskracht.

videoOnweer is een natuurfenomeneen dat op Aarde al vrij veel indruk maakt. Vanuit de ruimte bekeken lijkt het wel een scène uit 'Independence Day', een Amerikaanse sciencefictionfilm waarin buitenaardse vliegende schotels onze planeet aanvallen. Astronaut Reid Wiseman heeft de verbluffende beelden gedraaid en ze maken niet alleen hem sprakeloos.
Vanuit het Internationaal ruimtestation zit de Amerikaan uiteraard op de eerste rij om al dat moois gade te slaan en te documenteren. Hij kon al meermaals een bliksemstorm filmen. Gisteren deelde hij een fantastische post op Vine, een sociale media-app voor korte videootjes. De beelden laten zien hoe de bliksem Italië teisterde (zie Vine hierboven).
In juni deelde de astronaut al beelden van een bliksemstorm boven de Texaanse stad Houston (bekijk hieronder) en boven Maleisië. Indrukwekkend!

UPDATEDe Europese ruimtesonde Rosetta heeft vandaag om 11.29 uur (Belgische tijd) na een meer dan tien jaar durende reis door het heelal de komeet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko bereikt. Vluchtleider Andrea Accomazzo van het Europese Ruimtevaartbureau ESA deelde mee dat de sonde zich succesvol in een baan rond de in 1969 ontdekte komeet wist te brengen.
Tegen oktober moet een geschikte landingsplaats op het hemellichaam worden gevonden voor de dochtersonde Philae, die nauwelijks een kubieke meter groot is. In november is de meest hachelijke onderneming gepland: dan moet voor het eerst een landing op een komeet plaatsvinden. Bedoeling van de missie is om informatie te vergaren over het gedrag en de samenstelling van het hemellichaam, wat meer moet leren over het ontstaan van ons zonnestelsel.
6,4 miljard km De Rosetta van het Europees Ruimtevaartbureau ESA vertrok op 2 maart 2004 met een Ariane-raket en legde al meer dan 6,4 miljard km af. Aan boord van Rosetta bevindt zich ook Belgisch instrumentarium en Belgische knowhow. De wetenschappers van het Belgisch Instituut voor Ruimte-Aëronomie (BIRA) zijn vooral geïnteresseerd in de komeetatmosfeer. Aan industriële zijde zijn de Belgische bedrijven Thales Alenia Space Belgium, Amos, Nexans Harnesses, Logica, Spacebel en Rhea bij Rosetta betrokken.
De missie van de Rosetta kost ruim 1,3 miljard euro. De Nederlander Fred Jansen leidt het project. Voor vertrek is de sonde uitgebreid getest bij het ruimtevaartcentrum Estec in Noordwijk. De extreem gevoelige zonnepanelen zijn gemaakt door het bedrijf Dutch Space uit Leiden.
"Hallo, komeet!" De missie van de Rosetta eindigt eind volgend jaar, maar ze blijft meevliegen met de komeet, zij aan zij rond de zon, mogelijk tot het einde der tijden. Op Rosetta's tienjarige reis naar 67P heeft de ruimtesonde ook nog een winterslaap van 2,5 jaar gedaan. In juni 2011 werd ze in slaap gebracht op ongeveer 800 miljoen kilometer van de zon. Op die manier kon de sonde energie besparen. Ondertussen zweefde Rosetta verder richting de komeet. Afgelopen januari maakte de European Space Agency Rosetta wakker. Een bevestiging van het eerst contact met de sonde was zichtbaar via het Twitter-account van Rosetta. Daarop verschenen de woorden: 'Hallo, wereld! Zojuist bevestigde Rosetta haar aankomst bij 67P met een vrolijk: 'Hallo, komeet!'
The Apollo 16 UFO tape was a six-second bit of footage that seemed to prove UFOs were visiting our moon. Shot on a jerky, hand-held camera, the film shows what looks eerily like Hollywood’s idea of a flying saucer hovering near the lunar module. Today, it’s trumpeted by sections of the UFO community as a verified sighting, despite NASA debunking it years ago.
When experts extracted still frames from the footage for analysis, they realized that the UFO appeared to have a metal pole protruding from it, one almost as big as the ship itself. Seen at normal speed, the pole was hidden in shadow, but on the still image, it was clear as day. And it appeared to be attached to the lunar module.
The UFO was nothing more than the module’s own external floodlight, with a few dramatic shadows conspiring to make it look mysterious. The only aliens the footage showed visiting the moon were, well, us.
Amazing footage which shows a possible wormhole, spiral or portal appearing over Oaxaca, Mexico.
Locals and experts alike were left mystified as to what could have caused this incredible phenomena.
Some locals are convinced its the work of Aliens, who apparently create and use wormholes/portals for traveling between dimensions or for crossing vast distances in space.
I believe however, that its nothing more than weather phenomena or a failed rocket launch.
For now at least, the phenomena remains a mystery.
CHARAMA (Chhattisgarh): Chhattisgarh state department of archaeology and culture plans to seek help from Nasa and Isro for research on 10,000-year-old rock paintings depicting aliens and UFOs in Charama region in Kanker district in tribal Bastar region.
According to archaeologist JR Bhagat, these paintings have depicted aliens like those shown in Hollywood and Bollywood flicks. Located about 130km from Raipur, the caves come under village Chandeli and Gotitola.
“The findings suggest that humans in prehistoric times may have seen or imagined beings from other planets which still create curiosity among people and researchers. Extensive research is needed for further findings. Chhattisgarh presently doesn’t have any such expert who could give clarity on the subject,” Bhagat told TOI.

There are several beliefs among locals in these villages. While few worship the paintings, others narrate stories they have heard from ancestors about “rohela people” — the small sized ones — who used to land from sky in a round shaped flying object and take away one or two persons of village who never returned.
“The paintings are done in natural colours that have hardly faded despite the years. The strangely carved figures are seen holding weapon-like objects and do not have clear features. Specially, the nose and mouth are missing. In few pictures, they are even shown wearing space suits. We can’t refute possibility of imagination by prehistoric men but humans usually fancy such things,” the archaeologist said.

He added that it is a co-incidence that such ancient images appear to have sharp resemblance to UFOs shown in alien movies. “The fan-like antenna and three legs of vehicle’s stand clearly show a similarity to UFO type craft,” he said.
Other archaeologists would also be consulted for further verification.
One 4th of July approximately 1992, we were observing fireworks from our back deck. The house is on a lagoon off Barnegat Bay. As my husband and I watched, we saw three distinct gray discs in a triangular formation. They were kind of translucent but could be clearly seen. They hovered, and seemed to be three separate objects, and not the “feet” or “pads” of a single triangle-shaped craft. Off in the distance, a star-like object was moving up and down, seemingly very far away.
The three discs seemed much closer. Both the star-iike object and the three gray discs remained in place for several HOURS. It was almost as if they were watching the fireworks display. All of a sudden, the star-like object dipped below the horizon, then shot up at an amazing speed, too off and disappeared as it took off. The three discs remained for a while, then seemed to disappear. I did not notice them leaving, but all of a sudden they were gone. Lots of people had to have seen them, and as a matter of fact, several months later we saw a report on the 6 o’clock news (one of the NYC stations) that showed a videotape of exactly what we had seen.
It must have been visible all up the NJ coast, because someone in another beach town had taped it and sent it in to the news. I am CERTAIN about the July 4th date, but I am uncertain of the year. It had to be during my daughter’s high school years – 1990-1993. I believe it was 1992. I have had several sightings over the years- the first when I was about 15. I was about 38-40 years old when I had this sighting. I am never afraid. I am always exhilarated when I have a sighting. It’s almost like I am excited to see them back again. Somewhere, a videotape of this must still exit.

Paul McCartney en Ringo Starr zijn uitgenodigd om op te treden op Alien Woodstock, een festival dat door UFO-expert Michael Luckman wordt georganiseerd in Malibu om buitenaardse wezens te lokken.
Volgens Luckman, voorzitter van het New York Center for Extraterrestrial Research, zit vlak voor de kust van Malibu een onderzeese basis van buitenaardsen. Hij noemt deze plek ‘de Heilige Graal voor ufologen’. Door popsterren die geloven in het bestaan van buitenaards leven te laten optreden, wil hij proberen de wezens te lokken.

Luckman wil een expeditie organiseren om op zoek te gaan naar de onderwaterbasis. Voor zijn onderneming heeft hij al verschillende geldschieters weten te strikken. Het is de bedoeling dat onder meer Shirley MacLaine, Steven Spielberg, Star Trek-icoon William Shatner en Russell Crowe meegaan. Die laatste zag vorig jaar mogelijk een UFO, wat veel tongen losmaakte.
De Amerikaan heeft ook Yoko Ono, de weduwe van John Lennon, hun zoon Sean Lennon en Dahni Harrison, de zoon van wijlen George Harrison, uitgenodigd. Lennon zou buiten een penthouse in Manhattan eens een vliegende schotel hebben gezien.
Luckman heeft ook Robbie Williams, Mick Jagger, Sting, Matthew Bellamy van Muse en gitaarlegende Joe Satriani gevraagd om op te treden. Satriani schreef het nummer ‘Surfing with the Alien’, wat het themalied moet worden van het concert.
Luckman hoopt tijdens Alien Woodstock contact te leggen met de buitenaardsen. Hij wil tijdens het concert een aantal boten sturen naar de plek waarvan hij vermoedt dat er buitenaardse wezens kunnen worden gevonden.
Michel Granger, écrivain et chercheur en ufologie depuis plus de vingt ans nous a fait le plaisir de répondre à nos questions.
UFOcreps : Tout chercheur en ufologie sait combien il est difficile de recouper ses informations, surtout dans un domaine aussi exposé à la controverse ; quelle est la complexité pour obtenir des documents ufologiques aux USA et ailleurs ? Comment faites-vous pour surmonter les obstacles s’il y a lieu ?
M. Granger : Je n’ai jamais eu de difficulté en la matière. Je ne me fie encore aujourd’hui qu’aux sources publiées dans des revues sauf le WEEKLY WORLDNEWS (alias INFOS DU MONDE) pour lequel je suis extrêmement méfiant. Et pourtant il y a du vrai dans ce journal puisqu’on peut faire certains recoupements. Dans d’autres cas, c’est impossible et j’oublie tout (cf. référence récente au fameux singe Oliver qui serait toujours vivant !).
UC :Tout les jours on découvre de nouvelles technologies de pointe, qui en premier lieu n’ont pas de lien direct avec les ovni, ou l’exploration du cosmos ; mais alors que pensez de l’existence de ces piles thermo-photo-voltaïques dotées de fantastiques capacités de stockage d’énergie et que l’on retrouve dans la navigation maritime : qu’évoque pour vous cette innovation dans le domaine ovni ?
M.G : Cette innovation montre que nous sommes loin de tout avoir inventé et que celui qui prétendait cela au début du siècle s’est bien fourré le doigt dans l’œil. Au niveau du stockage de l’énergie, nous n’en sommes qu’aux balbutiements (cf. les recharges fastidieuses des portables). Mais c’est bien là, la télépathie à portée de tous.
UC : Le phénomène ovni est complexe et seul une approche pluri-disciplinaire permet d’en appréhender les multiples facettes ; que représente pour vous le phénomène ovni ?
M.G : Le phénomène ovni pour moi est une inconnue, une inconnue qui demeure dans l’équation de notre compréhension de la réalité. Tant que nous n’aurons pas compris ce que c’est, nous ne nous serons pas compris nous-mêmes, qui nous sommes, d’où nous venons. Les ovnis, à mon sens, recèlent en eux cette réponse. On les a cru fruits d’une technologie plus avancée que la nôtre mais on s’est probablement fourvoyé. Ils sont plus importants que cela. Ils doivent nous révéler un jour ou l’autre ce que nous faisons là sur terre à nous angoisser pour notre propre mort et à fantasmer en regardant le ciel. Si les extraterrestres n’existent pas, nous sommes une aberration de l’univers dont les ovnis peuvent constituer la clé.
UC :Après avoir retrouvé un énième témoin du crash de Roswell qui semble t-il apporte de nouveaux et précieux indices (lire dans ce numéro le compte-rendu) que pensez-vous de l’attitude des USA sur d’éventuelles récupérations de disques volants et/ou de corps extra-terrestres ?
M.G : Je pense que tout cela est de la foutaise, une mythologie méticuleusement orchestrée pour nous détourner d’autres questions plus fondamentales. Disques volants, extraterrestres, tout cela n’est qu’une vision étriquée de quelque chose qui nous transcende et qui nous est jeté en pâture pour nous faire patienter en attendant la grande révélation.
UC :Qu’est-ce qui vous a motivé à chercher dans ce domaine ?
M.G : Justement, je cherche à travers les ovnis, cette vérité qui nous échappe. Des indices de quelque chose semblent avoir été semés sur notre chemin. A l’instar du Petit Poucet, nous devons suivre ces petits cailloux d’incompréhension qui nous conduiront au trésor de la révélation ; ça c’est la démarche collective même s’il y en a une plus personnelle mais qui demande de l’abnégation que d’aucuns ne sont pas aptes à consentir.
UC :Quel fait précis vous décide à prendre en considération un phénomène de type ovni ?
M.G : L’accumulation des observations, leur constance, leur adaptation à l’époque où on les signale.Tout cela constitue, selon moi, un test d’intelligence sur lequel présentement nous nous sommes bien mal classé. D’où ces longues périodes où nous sommes laissés à nos affres terrestres, lesquelles, en effet, n’ont rien de bien réjouissant.
UC :En Egypte après de nombreuse recherches et études scientifiques on vient de déterminer que le sphinx daterait de -10500 ans av J-C, en d’autres termes qu’il serait antérieur aux pyramides du site de Ghizeh ; que pensez-vous d’une présence antédiluvienne sur terre ?
M.G :Je suis un chaud partisan de la thèse des "anciens astronautes" même si aujourd’hui on tente de la réduire à un phénomène de mode des années 60. Nous sommes encore une poignée à y croire malgré les relents théosophiques qui l’ont entachée pour ne pas dire plus. Il me semble bien que le passé de la terre n’est pas celui qu’on nous raconte à l’école d’où le grand intérêt des projets SETI et SETA.
UC :Notre société humaine change du fait de la mondialisation et de l’interdépendance des Etats. Ce n’est pas sans rappeler les propos des "enlevés" qui nous rapportent une vision des civilisations extraterrestres de type pyramidal. Sommes-nous en train de calquer ce modèle à nous même ? Si oui qu’est ce que cela vous inspire
M.G : Je prépare un livre précisément sur les " enlevés " (NDLR : nous y reviendrons !) et la question qui se pose de prime abord est : y a-t-il eu quelqu’un d’enlevé une fois ? Tout le monde s’accorde pour dire NON. Alors qu’est-ce que ces " abductions " ? Un phénomène de mode pour Américaines en mal d’affection ? J’ai demandé à mes amis Américains pourquoi les aliens ne s’intéressent pas aux filles françaises ? J’ai des réponses savoureuses que je réserve aux lecteurs de mon prochain livre que j’écris en collaboration avec un psychiatre à la retraite !
UC :La climatologie terrestre semble bouleversée au regard des catastrophes naturelles en cascade. Partagez-vous l’opinion de chercheurs qui donnent pour explication l’approche de la Terre par un planétoïde encore invisible à l’oeil nu ?
M.G : C’est encore là du catastrophisme de pacotille destiné à affoler les gens inutilement ? Inutilement ? Pas sûr. Ne cherche-t-on pas à détourner de la sorte les gens d’autres problèmes plus fondamentaux ? A ce moment là, ne faut-il pas mieux lire "L’étoile mystérieuse" de Hergé ?
UC :Pensez-vous réaliste de croire à une prochaine fin de l’ère industrielle humaine liée ou non à des contacts avec d’autres intelligences ?
M.G :Je n’y crois pas du tout. Certes le premier contact serait extrêmement douloureux pour les religions et les matérialistes mais, à mon avis, il n’est pas pour demain. Westall ‘UFO’ incident was actually government radiation testing, reports reveal

AN almost 50-year-old mystery when more than 200 people believed they had a close encounter with a UFO landing in Clayton may have finally been solved after newly-unearthed government documents revealed a secret radiation-testing program.
Although federal and state government agencies refused to comment about the 1966 ‘Westall’ incident at the time, it is now believed that, rather than a UFO, what landed was an errant high altitude balloon used to monitor radiation levels after the controversial Maralinga nuclear tests.
The HIBAL program was a joint US-Australian initiative to monitor atmospheric radiation levels using large silver balloons equipped with sensors between 1960 and 1969.
Documents held by the National Archives and former Department of Supply indicate one test balloon launched from Mildura may have been blown off course and came down in Clayton South in a paddock near Westall High School, alarming and baffling hundreds of eyewitnesses, including teachers and students.
After hovering over the area, it landed at an area known as The Grange, behind a grove of pine trees, before taking off again and being pursued by several light aircraft in a sighting which lasted 20 minutes from 11am on April 6, 1966.
The event has ever since been shrouded in mystery.

But researcher Keith Basterfield, who has spent years investigating unexplained phenomenon in Australia, said a “runaway” balloon from the HIBAL (high altitude balloon) project was the likely answer.
Each test balloon lifted a 180kg payload consisting of an air sampling and telemetry unit in a gondola and was followed by a light aircraft tasked with tracking it and triggering its 12mtr parachute via radio signal.
Immediately after the Westall “UFO” sighting, reports emerged of Government men in suits converging on the area and asking school officials and other witnesses to not talk about the event.
A contemporary witness reported these “suits” stated what the students saw was part of a secret government exercise and that for national security reasons they were forbidden from discussing it.
“My hypothesis is that the incident involved not a UFO, but a high altitude balloon, it’s parachute and large payload,” Mr Basterfield said.
In a research paper completed this year, Mr Basterfield said a close review of all available documentation, including that searched through Freedom of Information laws, pointed to HIBAL flight number 292 as the real culprit.

“The Westall object was described as being a white/silver colour which could describe the colour of an HIBAL balloon or parachute.”
A witness account prior to the Westall sighting stated a flying object — trailing what appeared to be a long vacuum-like hose — was seen by a couple, whose surname was Frankie, near Smith’s Gully 40km north of Clayton South.
“HIBAL balloons were filled with gas through a thin tube which went to the top of the balloon and was left in place during the balloon flight,” Mr Basterfield said.
He said uncovered documents had also highlighted government concern about the potential damage if a heavy test balloon came down in a suburban area.
“The Department of External Affairs files on HIBAL reveal there was considerable discussion on possible damage to property or personnel by a HIBAL balloon,” Mr Basterfield said.
But despite government archival records showing the results of numerous HIBAL test flights, the paperwork for the launches scheduled for the day before Westall appear to have been lost or destroyed.
“What is strikingly missing is a memo reporting on the actual four launches for April 1966, one of which was scheduled for 5 April 1966, the day before Westall.
“So we have no (official) knowledge of where flight 292 went.”
HAMPTON, N.H. – A fisherman has caught a rare lobster that’s bright orange with dark blue spots.
Josiah Beringer found the calico lobster in one of his traps on July 23 in the mouth of New Hampshire’s Hampton Harbor. He donated the 1.5-pound, 5-year-old male lobster to the Explore the Ocean World Oceanarium in Hampton.
Beringer tells the Portsmouth Herald the lobster was found in an area known as Washerwoman Rock, an area between two rocks that gets its name from its “really rough” and “washing machine”-like waters.
The aquarium’s Ellen Goethel says calico lobsters are the second rarest in the world, after albino lobsters. She says the spots are the result of a genetic pigmentation mutation occurring in 1 in every 30 million to 50 million lobsters. – FoxNews
Police raid pub in ‘Holy Grail’ relic hunt…find salad bowl
Police raided a village pub searching for a stolen Holy Grail relic but only found a salad bowl.
A team of 12 West Mercia Police officers searched the Crown Inn in Lea, Herefordshire, for the Nanteos Cup, which was once housed in Aberystwyth.
The only item found vaguely resembling the relic was a bowl for serving salad to customers.
Police said they received intelligence that the cup had been seen in the pub so executed a search warrant on Sunday.
Landlady of the 15th Century pub, 58-year-old Di Franklin, said: “If somebody had stolen something as priceless as the Holy Grail I don’t think it would be on show in my pub. Read more at BBC
After read so many stories I finally got the will to share with you all what happen to me. Years ago, I had the most terrible experience in my entire life. I was a kid back then, living in the countryside with my parents, older brother and grandmother. Our house was big enough to accommodate everyone in their rooms, but me and my grandmother shared the same bedroom in two separated beds. I believe she was afraid of sleeping alone (that’s what my parents told me). On a cold Thursday night in February something changed me forever. After dinner and watched some TV we went to bed like we did usually. After turning of the lights, my grandmother said her prayers like she always did (believe it or not her prayers were extremely reassuring to me that everything was all right). So I fell asleep. In the middle of the night I woke up to feel really cold on my face. Somehow, I kept my eyes closed even after I woke up. I could hear a gust of wind right above me and that’s when I opened my eyes to see “it” (I don’t know how to call it… “ghost”, “spirit”, “figure”,”hallucination”). It was a bright white humanoid figure with a head with two black eyes and a mouth; however the rest of the room remain pitch black. Desperate, I tried to scream for my grandmother, but I had no voice to yell. I tried to move, but the my body was paralyzed. As I struggled, the thing started to speak with a familiar voice. First, I didn’t listen, I was to scared trying to scream for help, but then I heard the thing saying “unite the people”. As soon as it said that, I closed my eyes so hard and it disappeared. When I reopen them, it was morning…a normal Friday morning. Was it a bad dream? Night paralyzes? Vivid dream? May be… Needless to say that I thought about that all day and that I didn’t tell anyone at school nor at home. On Friday night, my father had a night shift at the hospital and the bad news came on Saturday morning. A cousin, that lived 5min from our house, had committed suicide the night before. I freaked out… I got so affected by it that the nights after I could swear that I could see lights (just like starts) in my bedroom. Eventually it faded away and I got better and nothing like that ever happen to me again. Still, when I’m back at my parents, I avoid that room.
PS: A year ago I shared this experience with a friend who had a similar experience (the bright white figure appearance) and we draw what we saw and it was the same thing! I know its a generic humanoid figure, but still I have found it quite interesting. – Reddit.com
A man has been fined for pretending to be a ghost and other rowdy behaviour in a cemetery.
Anthony Stallard pleaded guilty at Portsmouth magistrates court to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause distress.
The court heard that the 24-year-old had been out drinking with friends when they went to Kingston cemetery in Portsmouth, where they started to play football.
A Hampshire police spokesman said that witnesses complained to police about Stallard’s rowdy behaviour and his pretending to be a ghost.
“The witnesses reported the group engaging in rowdy behaviour and one of them throwing their arms in the air and saying ‘woooooo’,” he said.
Stallard, of Southsea, Hampshire, was fined £35 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £20 in costs.
He also had an extra three months added to a conditional charge for previous harassment which he was found to be in breach of, according to a Crown Prosecution Service spokeswoman.

A New Jersey witness at Mercerville who is retired law enforcement reported watching a sphere-shaped UFO that appeared to move toward ground level, according to August 7, 2014, testimony in Case 58710 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was outside standing on a deck about 8:50 p.m. on August 3, 2014, when the object was first seen.
“I observed out of my top peripheral vision a large bright, white sphere that suddenly appeared at an elevation estimated to be 75 degrees,” the witness stated. “This object was in the northwest sky about 15 degrees to the left of 90 degrees straight overhead when first seen.”
The witness described the object’s size and flight.
“It was about the size of one-quarter inch to five-sixteenth inch in diameter at arm’s length. It had a downward slope to it slightly toward the north of about 10 degrees. This sphere, perfectly round, was a very, very bright, white object in color. The size, shape and color did not vary throughout my observation.”
The object did not appear to be a meteor.
“There was no trail, no tail, no burning of the material leaving any combustion or debris field behind it.”
The object was quickly obscured by trees.

“The object was observed in the open sky for one second, and then it was partially obscured by a tall tree in my yard for the remainder of the event. What stands out in my mind is how the object flew beyond the branches and leaves of the 50-foot-tall tree covering about 60 degrees of the observable field of view to the northwest and was so easily seen within the tree due to the magnitude of the light it emitted.”
The witness lost view of the object.
“There was a second tree behind mine that was farther away and the object did not go below the canopy of the latter. There was still another 5 degrees of sky to observe below the tree line if the object continued downward to the ground along the same flight path. I lost view of it midway in my tree. I estimate that to be approximately 40-degrees elevation.”
The witness first thought the object might be a meteor.
“I have seen hundreds of meteors and many comets in my lifetime. I tried to play this off and forget about it. There were no other observable aircraft or stars in the sky at the time. This object moved slower than a meteor and shared no heating up characteristics like a body moving into the atmosphere.”
The witness also looked into weather data for the location and time.
“There were no stars visible. I thought about this one for some time because it didn’t make rational sense. I researched the weather data for the date and time I made this observation at Wunderground.com. On that evening there was overcast around 2,600 feet. This object appeared at a relatively low altitude below the cloud cover.”

New Jersey has a current UFO Alert Rating of 4 with a higher than average number of recent reports nationally. New Jersey had 24 UFO reports in July 2014 – the 11th highest reporting state – while California had 104 reports as the highest reporting state. The above quotes were edited for clarity. The UFO Alert Rating System is based on five levels – 1 through 5 – where states with 150 or more reports for the month are rated an Alert 1; states with 100 or more reports are rated an Alert 2; 25 reports or more for the month are rated an Alert 3; 13 or more reports are rated an Alert 4; and those states with less than 13 reports for the month are an Alert 5.
Open Minds UFO Radio: Marc D’Antonio is the chief photo and video analyst for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). Marc has been involved with MUFON since 1971 and has a vast amount of experience investigating UFO cases. He is also the owner of FX Models where they work on CGI and physical models for the entertainment industry as well as defense contractors among others. It was in this line of work that Marc began working with motion picture special effects guru Doug Trumbull, who it turns out also has an interest in UFOs. We get an update from Marc on a project he and Trumbull are working on called UFOTOG. This project intends to build units that scan the sky with cameras and other sensors to gather large amounts of data, beside just pictures or video, during UFO sightings. We also talked to Marc about his recent appearances on several UFO related television programs.
One of the most elaborate UFO pranks ever staged was on April Fools’ Day in 1989 over London. Virgin, the famous venture capitalist conglomerate, is known for its April foolery, and the mastermind behind their pranks is Virgin’s founder Sir Richard Branson.
The mission to fly a UFO over London began as a top secret project code named “Project Wedgewood.” Cameron Balloons Limited in the town of Bristol, a bit less than 2 hours from London by car, was commissioned to build a massive UFO hot air balloon fully kitted out with strobe lights.

As to what happened next, Branson detailed the execution of the prank in a blog on World UFO Day (July 2) in 2013. Branson says they took off in the balloon at approximately 4 am, the strobe lights blinking every 10 seconds. By the time the first light of dusk could be seen they had reached the M25, a major motorway leading into London.
Branson writes, “We could see every single vehicle grinding to a halt and hundreds of people looking up at the UFO flying over them.”

Newspapers said that Branson and his UFO were blown off target. The plan was to land in London’s Hyde Park, instead Branson had to set the UFO down in Surrey Field. Branson says they hadn’t realized the extent of the commotion their stunt was creating while they were in the air. The police and army had been alerted to their presence, and radio and TV stations were reporting the UFO over London.

When the balloon set down Branson says they were surrounded by police. The police appeared a bit hesitant to approach the strange aircraft. Branson says they “sent one lone policeman with his truncheon across the field to greet the alien.”
He continued, “The UFO’s door opened very slowly, with tonnes of dry ice billowing from it. A dwarf that we had carried on board, dressed in an ET outfit, walked down the platform towards the bobby. He promptly turned and ran in the opposite direction!”

Sir Branson of course thought this prank was pretty funny, but the police were not amused, at least not at first. Branson says, “The police initially didn’t see the funny side of it and threatened to arrest us for wasting their time. But they soon joined in the general merriment of it.”
Branson says, “Every April Fools Day we love to come up with a major fun prank that pulls peoples legs and makes them smile.”
This year, Virgin has conspired with the climate control company Nest for their April Fools’ Day fun. Branson, along with Nest CEO Tony Fadell, introduce an incredible new personal climate control feature on Virgin America airlines in the promotional video below. Although, if it sounds too good to be true, it is because, unfortunately, it is.
There are some unsettling conclusions reached by abduction researchers that are rarely mentioned in mainstream UFO reporting. Abduction researchers suggest, often based on decades of research, that there may be more going on with most UFO witnesses than simply seeing something unusual in the sky.
There is a wide continuum of what gets reported as a UFO. At one end of this spectrum are tiny dots of light making odd motions way off in the distance, but the source could be something perfectly terrestrial. On the other end of that same spectrum would be a close up sighting of a silvery flying saucer hovering silently just above the swing set in the back yard; which would be very difficult to dismiss as anything other than unknown.
David Marler
Author and researcher David Marler has been calling the more noteworthy sightings unambiguous UFOs. This implies something well beyond the tiny dots that make up the majority of the sightings reports.
Marler says, “I came up with the term unambiguous UFOs to separate descriptions of large, low-flying, structured aerial objects from the ubiquitous and ambiguous light in the sky UFO reports. I believe there is a huge distinction between the two that demands clarification.”
The late researcher Elaine Douglass collected UFO reports for MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) for more than a quarter century. When conducting an investigation she would ask the witnesses the standard set of questions for any sighting, what time, how big, and so on. She would then do a follow up interview with deeper, more personal questions, asking them to describe any unusual personal events. This simply involved asking: “So, what else, in your whole life, has ever happened to you that you cannot explain?” More often than not, a big story would emerge. She would hear the unusual events that would imply some sort of direct contact experiences. What she concluded was that over half the people who see UFOs are abductees.

This may seem like a bold statement, but it’s very similar to what other investigators have concluded. Pioneering abduction researcher Budd Hopkins spoke openly that if someone sees a UFO they are most probably either seeing it arrive or leave, and there has been a missing time event covering an abduction. Hopkins has publicly speculated that there are probably more abductions than there are UFO sightings.
Abduction researcher Dr. David Jacobs said, “There is a reason for those UFOs in the sky, the phenomenon is far less random than we had once assumed. If people are seeing UFOs they are quite probably abductees.”
When I asked Jacobs what percentage of people who are seeing unambiguous UFOs are actually abductees, he replied, “The majority.” We discussed this and he seemed comfortable with the term majority, but he felt this was conservative and the real percentage might be much higher.

Abduction researcher and hypnotherapist Yvonne Smith was asked this same question, What percentage of people who are reporting an unambiguous UFO sighting are actually abductees? She, like most everyone I’ve asked, felt it was impossible to come up with an actual percentage, but was quick to say the majority. She said, “Many of the close-up sightings will have clues that this was a probable contact experience, things like distorted or missing time, or a car engine sputtering and mysteriously stopping.”
Smith noted that someone who has seen a UFO sighting might experience nightmares, vivid dreams or recurring flashbacks in the weeks or months afterwords. She feels it is vital that any witness have access to a qualified therapist if any distressing memories emerge. Both Cero International on the West Coast and Starborn Support on the East coast could recommend resources for anyone seeking help.
When abduction researcher Kathleen Marden was asked the same question, she said she had no way of knowing what that percentage might be. But she did say, “I can tell you that 67% of the participants in the2012 Marden-Stoner Commonalities Study stated that they consciously recalled (not with hypnosis), the observation of an unconventional craft at less than 1000 feet prior to an abduction.”
Kathleen Marden
This statistic can’t be seen as an indication of a percentage of whether or not a close encounter witnesses may have been abducted, but it is interesting. Marden also added that from her research, she feels anyone with more than one close up sighting of a craft has most probably had some sort of an abduction experience.
Joe Montaldo
Joe Montaldo is both a contactee and an abduction researcher. He runs an organization called ICAR (International Community for Alien Research) with a focus on the abduction phenomenon. Montaldo states that almost all UFO sightings are meant to be trigger memories, which are designed to let the witness know something happened.
Montaldo says, “ET never has to show himself to anybody. There is no need to ever let anyone see a craft, ever,” implying that their technology is so advanced that making their craft invisible is effortless, so if anyone actually sees a UFO it is because they want to be seen for a reason.
Montaldo went on to say, “I don’t think you can see a UFO if you’re not a contactee. Once you’ve been exposed to their telepathic fields or whatever they are, that’s how you can see them. It may not be easy [or possible] for us, but it’s easy for them.”
When asked to give a percentage of how many people who see a UFO are actually abductees, Joe said, “I’d put it at 100 percent”
Roger Marsh
Roger Marsh, Director of Communication for MUFON and also editor of their monthly journal, has been compiling and documenting UFO sighting reports gleaned from the MUFON Case Management System, which is an extensive database of witness reports. He also writes about UFOs for The Huffington Post, The Examiner and Open Minds.
When I asked Marsh this same question, “Off the top of my head, of the really good cases, I would say that maybe five percent of these would imply some sort of abduction event.” He went on to say he was judging these accounts by the written testimony of witnesses, where you sometimes get a clue like missing time within the reports. This is a much more conservative number than Montaldo’s sweeping 100 percent, but it is telling none the less. It should be noted that Marsh is not an abduction researcher like the other folks quoted here, he considers himself a UFO journalist instead.
What seems to be emerging, and this would be very difficult to quantify, is that the closer the UFO to the witness, the more likely an abduction event has occurred. The implication being that many, if not most UFO sightings have a buried abduction component.
