Glowing Auras and ‘Black Money’: The Pentagon’s Mysterious U.F.O. Program

WASHINGTON — In the $600 billion annual Defense Department budgets, the $22 million spent on the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program was almost impossible to find.
Which was how the Pentagon wanted it.
For years, the program investigated reports of unidentified flying objects, according to Defense Department officials, interviews with program participants and records obtained by The New York Times. It was run by a military intelligence official, Luis Elizondo, on the fifth floor of the Pentagon’s C Ring, deep within the building’s maze.
The Defense Department has never before acknowledged the existence of the program, which it says it shut down in 2012. But its backers say that, while the Pentagon ended funding for the effort at that time, the program remains in existence. For the past five years, they say, officials with the program have continued to investigate episodes brought to them by service members, while also carrying out their other Defense Department duties.
The shadowy program — parts of it remain classified — began in 2007, and initially it was largely funded at the request of Harry Reid, the Nevada Democrat who was the Senate majority leader at the time and who has long had an interest in space phenomena. Most of the money went to an aerospace research company run by a billionaire entrepreneur and longtime friend of Mr. Reid’s, Robert Bigelow, who is currently working with NASA to produce expandable craft for humans to use in space.
On CBS’s “60 Minutes” in May, Mr. Bigelow said he was “absolutely convinced” that aliens exist and that U.F.O.s have visited Earth.

Working with Mr. Bigelow’s Las Vegas-based company, the program produced documents that describe sightings of aircraft that seemed to move at very high velocities with no visible signs of propulsion, or that hovered with no apparent means of lift.
Officials with the program have also studied videos of encounters between unknown objects and American military aircraft — including one released in August of a whitish oval object, about the size of a commercial plane, chased by two Navy F/A-18F fighter jets from the aircraft carrier Nimitz off the coast of San Diego in 2004.
Mr. Reid, who retired from Congress this year, said he was proud of the program. “I’m not embarrassed or ashamed or sorry I got this thing going,” Mr. Reid said in a recent interview in Nevada. “I think it’s one of the good things I did in my congressional service. I’ve done something that no one has done before.”
Two other former senators and top members of a defense spending subcommittee — Ted Stevens, an Alaska Republican, and Daniel K. Inouye, a Hawaii Democrat — also supported the program. Mr. Stevens died in 2010, and Mr. Inouye in 2012.
While not addressing the merits of the program, Sara Seager, an astrophysicist at M.I.T., cautioned that not knowing the origin of an object does not mean that it is from another planet or galaxy. “When people claim to observe truly unusual phenomena, sometimes it’s worth investigating seriously,” she said. But, she added, “what people sometimes don’t get about science is that we often have phenomena that remain unexplained.”

James E. Oberg, a former NASA space shuttle engineer and the author of 10 books on spaceflight who often debunks U.F.O. sightings, was also doubtful. “There are plenty of prosaic events and human perceptual traits that can account for these stories,” Mr. Oberg said. “Lots of people are active in the air and don’t want others to know about it. They are happy to lurk unrecognized in the noise, or even to stir it up as camouflage.”
Still, Mr. Oberg said he welcomed research. “There could well be a pearl there,” he said.
In response to questions from The Times, Pentagon officials this month acknowledged the existence of the program, which began as part of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Officials insisted that the effort had ended after five years, in 2012.
“It was determined that there were other, higher priority issues that merited funding, and it was in the best interest of the DoD to make a change,” a Pentagon spokesman, Thomas Crosson, said in an email, referring to the Department of Defense.
But Mr. Elizondo said the only thing that had ended was the effort’s government funding, which dried up in 2012. From then on, Mr. Elizondo said in an interview, he worked with officials from the Navy and the C.I.A. He continued to work out of his Pentagon office until this past October, when he resigned to protest what he characterized as excessive secrecy and internal opposition.
“Why aren’t we spending more time and effort on this issue?” Mr. Elizondo wrote in a resignation letter to Defense Secretary Jim Mattis.

Mr. Elizondo said that the effort continued and that he had a successor, whom he declined to name.
U.F.O.s have been repeatedly investigated over the decades in the United States, including by the American military. In 1947, the Air Force began a series of studies that investigated more than 12,000 claimed U.F.O. sightings before it was officially ended in 1969. The project, which included a study code-named Project Blue Book, started in 1952, concluded that most sightings involved stars, clouds, conventional aircraft or spy planes, although 701 remained unexplained.
Robert C. Seamans Jr., the secretary of the Air Force at the time, said in a memorandum announcing the end of Project Blue Book that it “no longer can be justified either on the ground of national security or in the interest of science.”
Mr. Reid said his interest in U.F.O.s came from Mr. Bigelow. In 2007, Mr. Reid said in the interview, Mr. Bigelow told him that an official with the Defense Intelligence Agency had approached him wanting to visit Mr. Bigelow’s ranch in Utah, where he conducted research.
Mr. Reid said he met with agency officials shortly after his meeting with Mr. Bigelow and learned that they wanted to start a research program on U.F.O.s. Mr. Reid then summoned Mr. Stevens and Mr. Inouye to a secure room in the Capitol.
“I had talked to John Glenn a number of years before,” Mr. Reid said, referring to the astronaut and former senator from Ohio, who died in 2016. Mr. Glenn, Mr. Reid said, had told him he thought that the federal government should be looking seriously into U.F.O.s, and should be talking to military service members, particularly pilots, who had reported seeing aircraft they could not identify or explain.

The sightings were not often reported up the military’s chain of command, Mr. Reid said, because service members were afraid they would be laughed at or stigmatized.
The meeting with Mr. Stevens and Mr. Inouye, Mr. Reid said, “was one of the easiest meetings I ever had.”
He added, “Ted Stevens said, ‘I’ve been waiting to do this since I was in the Air Force.’” (The Alaska senator had been a pilot in the Army’s air force, flying transport missions over China during World War II.)
During the meeting, Mr. Reid said, Mr. Stevens recounted being tailed by a strange aircraft with no known origin, which he said had followed his plane for miles.
None of the three senators wanted a public debate on the Senate floor about the funding for the program, Mr. Reid said. “This was so-called black money,” he said. “Stevens knows about it, Inouye knows about it. But that was it, and that’s how we wanted it.” Mr. Reid was referring to the Pentagon budget for classified programs.
Robert Bigelow, a billionaire entrepreneur and longtime friend of Mr. Reid, received most of the money allocated for the Pentagon program. Contracts obtained by The Times show a congressional appropriation of just under $22 million beginning in late 2008 through 2011. The money was used for management of the program, research and assessments of the threat posed by the objects.
The funding went to Mr. Bigelow’s company, Bigelow Aerospace, which hired subcontractors and solicited research for the program.
Under Mr. Bigelow’s direction, the company modified buildings in Las Vegas for the storage of metal alloys and other materials that Mr. Elizondo and program contractors said had been recovered from unidentified aerial phenomena. Researchers also studied people who said they had experienced physical effects from encounters with the objects and examined them for any physiological changes. In addition, researchers spoke to military service members who had reported sightings of strange aircraft.
“We’re sort of in the position of what would happen if you gave Leonardo da Vinci a garage-door opener,” said Harold E. Puthoff, an engineer who has conducted research on extrasensory perception for the C.I.A. and later worked as a contractor for the program. “First of all, he’d try to figure out what is this plastic stuff. He wouldn’t know anything about the electromagnetic signals involved or its function.”
The program collected video and audio recordings of reported U.F.O. incidents, including footage from a Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet showing an aircraft surrounded by some kind of glowing aura traveling at high speed and rotating as it moves. The Navy pilots can be heard trying to understand what they are seeing. “There’s a whole fleet of them,” one exclaims. Defense officials declined to release the location and date of the incident.
“Internationally, we are the most backward country in the world on this issue,” Mr. Bigelow said in an interview. “Our scientists are scared of being ostracized, and our media is scared of the stigma. China and Russia are much more open and work on this with huge organizations within their countries. Smaller countries like Belgium, France, England and South American countries like Chile are more open, too. They are proactive and willing to discuss this topic, rather than being held back by a juvenile taboo.”
By 2009, Mr. Reid decided that the program had made such extraordinary discoveries that he argued for heightened security to protect it. “Much progress has been made with the identification of several highly sensitive, unconventional aerospace-related findings,” Mr. Reid said in a letter to William Lynn III, a deputy defense secretary at the time, requesting that it be designated a “restricted special access program” limited to a few listed officials.
A 2009 Pentagon briefing summary of the program prepared by its director at the time asserted that “what was considered science fiction is now science fact,” and that the United States was incapable of defending itself against some of the technologies discovered. Mr. Reid’s request for the special designation was denied.
Mr. Elizondo, in his resignation letter of Oct. 4, said there was a need for more serious attention to “the many accounts from the Navy and other services of unusual aerial systems interfering with military weapon platforms and displaying beyond-next-generation capabilities.” He expressed his frustration with the limitations placed on the program, telling Mr. Mattis that “there remains a vital need to ascertain capability and intent of these phenomena for the benefit of the armed forces and the nation.”
Mr. Elizondo has now joined Mr. Puthoff and another former Defense Department official, Christopher K. Mellon, who was a deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence, in a new commercial venture called To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science. They are speaking publicly about their efforts as their venture aims to raise money for research into U.F.O.s.
In the interview, Mr. Elizondo said he and his government colleagues had determined that the phenomena they had studied did not seem to originate from any country. “That fact is not something any government or institution should classify in order to keep secret from the people,” he said.
For his part, Mr. Reid said he did not know where the objects had come from. “If anyone says they have the answers now, they’re fooling themselves,” he said. “We do not know.”
What Force Created These Bizarre Cubes in Antarctica's Ice?
What Force Created These Bizarre Cubes in Antarctica's Ice?

Antarctica isn't just a land of ice — sometimes, in some places, it appears to be a land of giant ice cubes. But why? How do these huge, rectangular formations appear in the inhuman, irregular landscape of the southern continent?
The image above, titled "Icy Sugar Cubes," was taken in Antarctica in 1995, over the English Coast on the southern Antarctic Peninsula. The British Antarctic Survey recently scanned the photo, which was initially shot on Kodachrome 64 slidefilm, and in 2017, it won the overall top prize in The Royal Society's annual scientific photography competition. The "unusual bi-directional crevassing" emerged, The Royal Society explained in a caption, "as an ice sheet … stretched in two directions over an underlying rise."
But that's not all that's going on in that photo, according to Ted Scambos, a glaciologist and lead scientist for the National Snow & Ice Data Center science team. [See the Winners of the Royal Society Photo Competition]
The photo appears to represent an area of "fast-flowing and floating ice," Scambos wrote in an email to Live Science.
Although Antarctica's enormous masses of ice may look solid to human eyes, the reality is that they're in constant motion, flowing and bumping and grinding against one another. That motion causes patterns to appear — not through carving but rather a long period of pulling.
"A massive slab of flowing ice begins to go afloat," Scambos wrote, "and initially, because it is very thick, it spreads laterally [side to side], creating deep along-flow troughs. Later, with further flow, the ice begins to stretch out longitudinally, and the surface snow breaks perpendicular to the first troughs."
In other words, as the ice spreads and thins, it cracks. First, the cracks appear parallel to the ice's forward motion, creating a series of horizontal crevasses. Later, another series of cracks appears perpendicular to the direction of the ice flow, completing the weirdly regular grid, Scambos said.
The image offers clues that can help researchers like Scambos guess the direction in which the ice was flowing.
"Note that the troughs that run more perpendicular to the aircraft are a bit older, more full of snow — I would guess that they are parallel to the flow direction," Scambos wrote.
Because those slices have been around longer, more snowstorms have passed over them, filling them up.
"The sharper cuts to make the blocks, more in the direction of the plane's flight, are younger, and mark a transition someplace just upstream to more extensional conditions," Scambos wrote.
In other words, the ice was likely flowing along the paths of the shallower slices, and the deeper, sharper slices appeared more recently. The Antarctic ice, solid as it looks, hides literal gigatons of mysterious forces and movements.
Moves into the Sun! ».

To add to the seemingly increasing strangeness overhead in our skies, reports of so-called megacryometeors have been increasing lately. These anomalous balls of ice are believed to either fall from aircraft overhead or be the result of some unknown atmospheric activity. In many cases, however, aviation authorities claim no aircraft had overhead at the time of megacryometeors falling. Case in point: two California homeowners got the scares of their lives this week as anomalous massive chunks of ice fell from the skies, crashing through their homes and generally scaring the pants off of everyone. Like in most cases, the Federal Aviation Administration claims it knows nothing. The first case happened in San Bernardino, California at the home of 82-year-old Claudell Curry. Curry and his wife were enjoying a quiet evening at home on Sunday, December 10 when a horrible crashing sound came from their bedroom.
Luckily, no one was injured in either case.
Upon entering their bedroom, the Currys found chunks of clear ice lying and debris from their ceiling littering the room. Had they been in bed, Curry told the San Bernardino Sun, the result would have been quite different:
That terrible noise, I never heard a noise like that before. We shiver every time we think we could have been in bed. The wife is still nervous, but we are doing OK. It was quite a traumatic experience.
It probably would have been more traumatic had the ice been blue, indicating it came from an airplane lavatory. Since it was clear like in other unexplained megacryometeor cases, its origin isn’t so easily identified. A similar case happened just a month prior only a few dozen miles away when another deadly chunk of ice fell through a home in Chino, California. The FAA hasn’t been able to identify a source for either case, as there were no commercial flights in the area on either date. The nearby March Air Reserve Base, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, and Camp Pendleton also deny responsibility, stating there are no planes kept on those bases.
A Spanish megacryometeor which fell in 2007.
Whatever the cause may be, something weird is going on in the skies lately. Unexplained booms have been rocking the skiesover North America, sometimes accompanied by unexplained debris. In a few cases, tight-lipped federal agents have shown up to whisk the debris away before onlookers and journalists get a good look. Could these booms and ice chunks indicate some off-the-books or clandestine aerospace activity?
Within the specific genre of science-fiction, fantastic tales of time-travel to the far-flung future or to the distant past are hardly rarities. Take, for example, H.G. Wells’ epic novel of 1895: The Time Machine. The book tells the story of a brilliant, London, England-based scientist, inventor and adventurer who journeys to the year A.D. 802,701 where, to his complete and utter dismay, he finds that the Human Race (in the form that we understand it, at least) no longer exists. In its place are the Eloi and the Morlocks. The former are relatively human-looking beings (albeit of smaller stature), yet they utterly lack vitality, imagination, and any desire to learn or advance. The Morlocks, meanwhile, are fearsome, savage and nightmarish beasts who dwell in darkened underground lairs and who use the Eloi as we use cattle: namely, as a source of food.
Then there is The Philadelphia Experiment: an entertaining Hollywood film allegedly based on real events, and which tells the story of two sailors – David Herdeg and Jim Parker – who are propelled through time from 1943 to the Nevada Desert, circa 1984.
And we should not forget the BBC show, The Flipside of Dominick Hide, in which the main character travels through time from A.D. 2130 to London, England in 1980. Ostensibly there to observe the transportation systems of the past, Hide subsequently finds himself on a quest to locate one of his distant ancestors.
Although these three tales of fictionalized time travel are very different in nature, they all have one thing in common: the time travel that all of the characters experience is achieved via the use of highly advanced (albeit sometimes unreliable) technology: In Wells’ The Time Machine, the chief character (whose name we never actually get to learn) builds his own device to traverse the centuries. In The Philadelphia Experiment, Herdeg and Parker take part in a secret U.S. Navy operation. And Dominick Hide undertakes the journey from 2130 to 1980 via nothing less than his very own flying saucer. However, there are countless reports on record where people – in the real world – seem to have crossed the time-barrier entirely at random, and without the means of sci-fi-style machine-based technologies. Such cases have become known as Time-Slips.
One of the most famous examples of what some researchers think may have been a definitive Time-Slip involved two British women: Charlotte Anne Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain, who, it has been suggested, traveled through time while visiting the gardens of the Petit Trianon at Versailles, France. It was August 10, 1901 when the pair paid a trip to the Palace of Versailles. While walking through the grounds, both Moberly and Jourdain were overcome by distinctly oppressive feelings of gloom and uneasiness. They would later claim to have met with a wide variety of individuals, all garbed in 18th Century clothing, and who they came to believe had been members of the court of none other than Marie Antoinette. More controversially, the pair said they saw a figure they thought may very well have been Marie Antoinette herself.
Did Moberly and Jourdain really cross the time-barrier into centuries-past? To this day, the story has as many believers as it does detractors. But there is one important factor of which to take careful note: their amazing story does not stand alone. Indeed, there are numerous reports on record of people apparently passing through time – entirely at random, and without the benefit of any form of out-of-this-world technology.
A key event of the First English Civil War, the Battle of Hopton Heath (a small village in south Shropshire) was fought on Sunday, March 19, 1643 between Parliamentarian and Royalist forces. The battle ended at nightfall, with the actual victory and outcome still remaining matters of very much personal opinion. The Royalists, for example, had succeeded in capturing eight enemy-guns; while the Parliamentarians believed that their successful killing of the enemy commander, the Earl of Northampton, was of equal – if not even greater – significance.
But, without doubt of even more significance was a startling event that occurred at some point in the winter of 1974. It was late at night and then-thirty-six-year-old John ‘Davy’ Davis, a Lichfield, Staffordshire-based house-painter at the time, was driving near Hopton Heath when he began to feel unwell: an ominous tightness developed in his chest, he felt lightheaded, and, as he succinctly put it, “my left ear hurt and felt hot.”
Quickly pulling over to the side of the road, Davis was amazed to see the night-sky suddenly transform into daylight, while the road in front of him no longer existed: instead, it had been replaced by a mass of fields, heath-land and tangled trees. And, in front of him, countless soldiers adorned in what was clearly Civil War-clothing waged harsh war upon one another. Notably, Davis said that although at one point he was “nearly bloody surrounded” by the soldiers, it was almost as if they could neither see him nor his vehicle. This afforded Davis a degree of relief, as he was practically frozen to the spot, and “couldn’t have run if I had wanted to.” As it transpired, Davis didn’t need to run anywhere: just a few seconds later, the bizarre scene suddenly vanished, and Davis found himself sat at the edge of the road, with his car squashed against a large line of hedge, and with complete and utter normality returned.
Horning is an old village in Norfolk, England situated between Wroxham and Ludham, on the River Bure. The village’s Ferry Inn is typical of the many old taverns that dominate the area, and the 13th Century church of St. Benedict can be found half-a-mile to the east of the village. On a summer’s afternoon in either 1978 or 1979, the Margolis family was enjoying a stroll around the picturesque village when, like so many before them and since, they were overcome by a feeling of distinct uneasiness and unreality – as well as total silence, and a slight dizziness.
That uneasiness quickly mutated into concern, fright, and overwhelming disorientation as the landscape became “fuzzy” (“like a big heat-haze”), the houses were replaced by ancient cottages, and the road ahead of them became little more than a muddy track. As for the cars that had been in sight, they were no more. Instead, a battered and bruised cart appeared – that was being pulled by a large cart-horse. A thin man dressed in brown walked alongside the horse; yet appeared not to notice any of the family in the slightest.
Suddenly, however, the modern-day sounds of cars and voices began to echo all around them, and the strange spectacle was now utterly gone. Notably, it seems that Mrs. Margolis may very well have been exposed to the odd scene for slightly less a period of time than was her now-late husband and their 11-year-old son. “I looked at them when I came out of it,” recalled Mrs. Margolis in a 1997 interview, “and it was like they were in a trance: their mouths were hanging down, and their eyes looked funny. Then they looked like they woke up and we were all back together again.”
Interestingly, odd and unsettling feelings and sensations, such as those referenced in each of the cases above, were also referred to by author Andrew Mackenzie in his book Adventures in Time: Encounters with the Past. Such events, reported Mackenzie, are “often accompanied by feelings of depression, eeriness and a marked sense of silence, deeper than normally experienced.” Similarly, Jenny Randles’ book, Time Storms: Amazing Evidence for Time Warps, Space Rifts, and Time Travel firmly demonstrates that whatever we may think we know about the nature of time, in reality we may not even know the half of it.
Something is terrorizing a Sunshine Coast community in Queensland, Australia. Something large. Whatever it is, it has so far ripped open animal enclosures, devoured pets and livestock, and left little traces behind. The Sunshine Coast Daily reports that locked gates were destroyed by something capable of leaving behind “huge paw prints.” One local resident and eyewitness, Kay McCullock, described her near-encounter with the creature while it tore apart her neighbor’s poor defenseless guinea fowl:
When I looked into the neighbour’s yard, I could see the guinea fowls getting attacked by – you’re gonna’ love this – an unseen predator… As if the birds were being thrown around by something invisible. When I found three lots of clumped feathers there was no blood and no bodies.
Unseen predator? Invisible monster ripping birds apart like gore-filled piñatas? Yes, you’re right, Kay, I am gonna love it. Especially given McCullock’s description of her second encounter with the beast:
I heard ‘it’ again and went out with my sword and yelled at it. I heard growling and a kind of snorting. It was quick and by the time I got to the gate I couldn’t see anything.
Too bad. Slaying a phantom big cat with a sword would have made a great story to share at that boring holiday office party. Sure beats Linda from HR’s same old story about that time she found the bowling ball in the soup. McCullock says that so far, locals believe the only two remaining possible suspects are black panthers and Yowie. Given that large feline species aren’t indigenous to Australia, could this be another case of the ever-elusive phantom big cat? Or has Bigfoot’s inbred down-under cousin developed a taste for poultry?
“Who ya callin’ inbred?”
Unfortunately for those of us who want to believe in what goes bump in the night, there’s likely a much more benign explanation. Over the last couple of years, packs of feral wild dogs have reached what some are calling “epidemic” levels throughout Queensland. One local rancher told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 2016 that the animals have become increasingly bold and terrifying in recent years:
I grew up with dingoes up north…but never experienced the pack attitude that we have here. Most of the time we see them in groups of four, up to nine, and that is what makes us feel unsafe. They are dangerous, they are not scared of us anymore, and you just feel outnumbered.
Could a large feral dog be responsible for killing these animals? It’s much more likely than a phantom cat or even Yowie. Everyone knows he prefers eating garbage.

What are the chances that 3 of the largest avionics military laser companies are located in the same exact area as the Santa Rosa, CA fires occurred, yet none got torched?

Scientists Found Microorganisms in Antarctica that were Thought to be Unable to Live on Earth
Scientists Found Microorganisms in Antarctica that were Thought to be Unable to Live on Earth

Australian and New Zealand scientists have discovered two new types of bacteriapreviously believed to be impossible to live on Earth, the Tape reported.
In order to maintain the metabolism of the WPS-2 and AD3, the atmosphere is sufficient to supply hydrogen, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, he said. "We assume that atmospheric hydrogen, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide provide such colony-based organisms with reliable sources of energy and carbon, so that atmospheric sources of energy supported by solar and geological sources can serve as an alternative to the functioning of ecosystems," they noted scientists.
WPS-2 and AD3 were found in surface layers in two polar deserts in the eastern part of Antarctica. In these areas, scientists have traces of several microorganisms. Experts managed to restore genomes to 23 of them, including WPS-2 and AD3. Scientists' discovery confirms the possibility for organisms to live even in the most extreme conditions, including the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
The subject of the documentary Love and Saucers, David Huggins, announces the premise matter-of-factly: “Well, when I was 17 I lost my virginity to a female extraterrestrial.” His life story is fantastical, but there’s an additional wrinkle that transforms Love and Saucers from a familiar alien abduction testimonial into something altogether otherworldly, profoundly mysterious and beautiful: Huggins is a painter, who has spent decades interpreting his experiences on canvas.
Huggins was eight, a young boy in 1950s Georgia, when he had his first encounter. “There was this little hairy guy with large, glowing eyes coming straight toward me. I thought it was the boogeyman, I didn’t know what to think of it. What was interesting was that for a split-second I felt as if I was in his eyes, looking at me. Then I just freaked.”

The encounters escalated quickly. After the hairy guys, the next visitor was a “giant, insect-like being,” resembling a praying mantis. Huggins first encounter with the mantid was terrifying, especially when the giant, spindly thing began spraying a bluish-gray liquid, but Huggins soon found a surprising empathy in the alien being. “He always spoke to me as if I was a child.”
Alien greys dropped from the sky and chase a young David back to his house.PHOTO: DAVID HUGGINS
Then came the greys, whole squads of them, dropping from the sky in blue tunics. They followed him home. “I looked underneath our house, because it was on pillars, and I could see their legs on the other side,” Huggins recounts in the movie. They returned that night and abducted him for the first time. Inside their craft he met Crescent, the alien woman who would take his virginity several years later. Their first meeting was less pleasant: Crescent inserted an object far up David’s nose. “You know how we tag whales and stuff like that?”
Sometime after Crescent first had sex with Huggins, he moved to New York, away from Georgia and his abusive, alcoholic parents. There, the relationship continued for years, with Crescent emerging from a portal in his wall at night. Other creatures often observed their sex. Sometimes, Huggins was taken into space, where he met the children produced by his couplings with Crescent.
Huggins’ experiences are extravagantly unbelievable, nevertheless it’s impossible to watch Love and Saucers and truly disbelieve. This is not because Love and Saucersupends your entire conception of the universe or our place in it; or makes the case for sustained extraterrestrial interference in Earthly affairs. Instead, it’s because of Huggins himself: earnest, straightforward and unwilling to evangelize or project beyond the exact parameters of his memories. Whether alien, other-dimensional, supernatural or psychological, Huggins presents the remarkable events that have shaped his life with a straightforward honesty and humility that draws us in, maybe not to an alien realm, but to the absolute certainty that the fantastical has been touched.
Love and Saucers’ greatest strength as a documentary is the dignity it affords Huggins’ experiences. There is no cutting away to lurid UFO photos or testimonials from History Channel kooks. There’s just one man’s life, the story he tells and the canvasses on which he processes unearthed memories of abduction, communion and sexual awakening.
Love and Saucers director Brad Abrahams spoke with Player. One about how he captured and dignified Huggins’ life and work, without falling into the typical UFO documentary tropes. “Love and Saucers is much less about aliens and alien abductions — it’s about the person.”
David Huggins hold up his painting "First Time," depicting his first sexual encounter with Crescent.PHOTO: CURATOR PICTURES, PERCEIVE THINK ACT FILMS AND THE ORCHARD
Abrahams filmed Love and Saucers over a three-year period, conducting interviews a few days at a time, occasionally staying with Huggins in his Hoboken, New Jersey home. “What strikes me so much: David is just such a seemingly normal, simple spoken, straight talking kind of guy,” Abrahams told Player.One.
Only one outside expert is consulted in Love and Saucers: Dr. Jeffrey J. Kripal, in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Thought at Rice University, whose research considers the overlap between religious epiphany and sex. “I wanted someone who was skeptical but not cynical,” Abrahams said.
But why a religious perspective? “[Kripal] doesn’t see alien abductions as any different from someone in the 15th century having a Christian religious experience or in the Greek times having a deity experience. These are all the same things happening to us,” Abrahams explained.
Kripal’s appearance comes late in the documentary, but he makes explicit one of Love and Saucers ’ great strengths. Rather than treating Huggins as a question — “Did this happen?” — it dignifies human experience, no matter how extraordinary.
Which is not to say that Love and Saucers avoids the question of how closely Huggins’ experiences may hew to objective reality, whatever that means. The pieces are there for any determined skeptic to concoct a plausible psychological out: abusive parents and Budd Hopkins’ landmark alien abduction book, Intruders: The Incredible Visitations at Copley Woods, which hit Huggins like a thunderclap, returning some of his repressed memories when he read it in 1987.
“It’s very complex, I don’t have a straight answer. I think it’s clear in the film that I believe that David is telling the truth about what he experienced, but not necessarily that I believe that what happened to him happened literally,” Abrahams said. “He’s having these memories of something that happened to him, but maybe he couldn’t articulate it and we have a tendency to pull from the world around us.”
Abrahams brought up a possible connection between Huggins’ abduction accounts and his immense VHS collection, nearly 2,000 tapes, many sci-fi and horror (Huggins’ makes several excellent recommendations, including ghost story classic The Uninvitedand 1973’s squamata body horror, Sssssss). “It’s a chicken and egg, did he collect those VHSs because of those encounters, or did he pull from those VHS tapes?”
“There’s definitely an impressionability in everyone,” Abrahams said. “David experienced something, but the context of what happened is colored, just by being human.”
And it’s that human need to understand, to process those experiences that confuse and tantalize us, that motivates Huggins’ paintings as much as the viewer’s interest.
Love and Saucers is now available for VOD streaming on iTunes, Amazon, Vimeo, Google Play and YouTube.
Pope Francis: The Devil Is Much More Intelligent Than Us
Pope Francis: The Devil Is Much More Intelligent Than Us
Pope Francis Warns That The Devil Is More Intelligent Than Mortals So Do Not Argue With Him
Pope Francis has given out a warning stating that the devil has more intelligence than mortals and so it is wise not to argue with him. The pope made the claim that the devil is not a concept or a metaphor but someone real that has dark powers.µ
Pope Believes Devil Is A Real Person
The pope was talking to a Catholic TV channel and wildly gesticulated with his hands to get his point across when he continued by saying that the devil was evil and not like mist, he is not diffuse, he is a real person. He went on to say that people should not get into a conversation with Satan as if they do they would be lost. The devil is a lot more intelligent that mortals and the pope went on to say that he would turn mortals upside down and make their head spin.
He is evil, he’s not like fog. He’s not a diffuse thing, he is a person. One must not talk to Satan, if you start talking to Satan you are lost, he is more intelligent than us
Pope Francis said that the devil always pretends to be polite and this is something that he has done in the past with priests and bishops and it is how the devil is able to enter the mind. However, if the person does not realize what is happening to them in time then it all ends in a bad way and this he why it is important to tell Satan he should go away.
Pope Speaks On Twitter To His 40 Million Followers About Satan
This is not the first time that Pope Francis has spoken out about the devil in sermons. He is also known for taking to the social media channel Twitter to talk openly about Satan and the pope has more than 40 million followers. He often uses terms such as Satan, the seducer, Great Dragon, Prince of darkness and Beelzebub when referring to the devil.
Vatican analyst Austen Ivereigh said that it was a Jesuit thing. He described the pope as being a Jesuit who is imbued with spiritual exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola and this means that he can discern the movements of any bad and good spirit. He went on to say that for the pope the devil is real and not just a metaphor and due to the fact that this is not the way that people speak today, there are some Catholic people who are taken aback. Ivereigh went on to say there are a great many people who are uncomfortable with believing in the idea that evil is real, however, those who know about the spirituality of Jesuits are not surprised by the words of the pope.
Pope Francis Told Exorcists They Do A Great Job
Three years ago Pope Francis spoke to a convention of exorcists who had gathered from around the globe and said that they were doing an excellent job in combating the work of the devil. He went on to say that exorcists should show love and the welcome of the church to those who were possessed by evil.
When addressing the crowd at St Peters Square in 2013 the pope said that the devil will often make an appearance under the disguise of an angel and talk to people. Pope Francis is also not afraid to speak out about the many devious ways in which the devil operates during daily homilies in the guesthouse chapel inside the Vatican.
Wording Of Lords Prayer Should Be Changed According To Pope
The pope has even gone as far as suggesting that the words of the Lord’s Prayer should be altered so that the devil is blamed instead of God for leading people into temptation. He went on to say that the prayer had been translated badly from Greek that was used in the New Testament and blaming the devil would be a better reflection on the true meaning. Pope Francis said that it was not a very good translation as it was not god pushing people into temptation to see how they have fallen. This is not something that God would do; a father is there to help you get straight back up if you have fallen. Satan is the one that leads people to temptation.
The Pope believes that the life of the Christian person is one continual battle against evil.
All across the world, in almost every culture there have long been reports of so-called “little people,” and it is so common throughout geographical or cultural boundaries that it is a phenomenon in and of itself. Gnomes, Elves, Trolls, Duendes, they go by many names, and curiously they tend to share not only vast similarities in the general appearance of such creatures, but also the genuine sightings reports from these places that seem to pull these entities out from the realms of pure fantasy or fairy tales and into the real world. I have written of this here at Mysterious Universe before in general, and also more specifically on this phenomenon in places as far flung as South America and Japan, and such accounts never cease to amaze. One area with its own tales of mysterious little people is the frigid, far-northern land of Alaska, in the United States. Here, as in many other places around the world, strange little people roam about, and they are seen by the populace as being every bit as real as you or I.
Out in the wilds of the northern U.S. state of Alaska, the native tribes of the region such as the Inuit and Yup’ik have long had their own tales of little people living out in the forests and frigid tundra here. Depending on the tribe or tradition these enigmatic creatures go by many names, such as the Ircinrraqs, Inukin (also often spelled “Enukin” or “Inukun”), Ircenrraat, Ingnakalaurak, Egassuayaq, and the Paalraayak, although they seem to most commonly be collectively referred to as the Inukin, or Enukin, and for the purposes of this article they will be referred to as such.
The Alaskan wilderness
Prominent in the lore of many of these northern peoples, although there are different details depending on the tribe, the Inukin are most often described as being between 1 to 3 feet in height, typically dressed in animal skins and with pointed heads and elfin ears. The Inukin are mostly said to prefer to stay underground or hidden away in the mountains during the day, only venturing out at night, and are mostly characterized as being mischievous, bed-tempered, and mean, seeming to enjoy tormenting people. It is commonly said that they will intentionally try to get travelers lost or throw rocks at them, and that they have a bad habit of stealing the kills of hunters, with caribou said to be among their favorites, and they are also hunters themselves, using bows and arrows. At their most sinister, the Inukin are thought to abduct women or children and drag them off to never be seen again. They are usually credited with having superhuman strength and a host of supernatural powers such as shapeshifting, invisibility, and the power to sow confusion in the minds of those who see them. One old Inupiaq man named Majik Imaje said of these little people and their strength:
They live in the old ways to this very day they dress in caribou skins. They still hunt with bow & arrow. They live underground, and in caves all throughout this vast area. They possess super human qualities that you will never believe. They are incredibly strong and they can run, very fast; they sneak around the villages stealing food. When any hunter shoots and kills a caribou, it requires two adult Inupiaq men to lift that caribou to place on a sled. It only takes ONE Ingnakalaurak or Enukin to pick one up and RUN WITH IT, over his head. Hunters, experienced hunters, often talk about caribou that they have shot & killed. Dead and the caribou will disappear before they reach it to dress it out. Make no mistake, these people are very good in what they do, they are perhaps the best hunters in the world.
Imaje also claims that this is why some bush pilots have reported seeing the strange sight of caribou running on their sides, only to fly lower and see that they are actually being carried along by an Inukin. These beings are also said to sneak into villages at night when everyone is asleep to steal food and goods, but interestingly, although they are mostly avoided and for all of their more malevolent tendencies, these creatures are also said to have a benevolent side as well. For instance, it is supposedly good luck to receive a gift from them when they are feeling generous, and on occasion instead of playing pranks they will take pity on a lost soul out in the woods and guide the way.
It is interesting how many of the details of the Inukins match the lore of other little people from various other cultures around the world, such as their general appearance and similar habits and powers attributed to them, as well as their curious mixture of both mischievous, prankish behavior and contradictory more benevolent tendencies, which is a common trait in such creatures in a great many other cultures as well. Also, just as with other cultures, although outsiders may see these little people as surely purely mythical constructs, the natives of this region see them as very real indeed, with many insisting that the Inukins actually exist. Supporting these claims are the various real sightings and encounters with such beings, which blur the line between reality and what must seem like fairy tales to many.
Indeed, villagers and hunters of the region have long told of seeing Inukins and having their things stolen by the creatures, and some outsiders have reported seeing such little people out in the wilds as well. Very common are reports of hunters who have shot and killed an animal, only to go to retrieve it and find it gone, without any trail of blood or trace of where it has gone. Also common are stories of having rocks come flying from the woods out of nowhere, followed by a fleeting glimpse of a small, child-sized shadow in the brush. Some of these encounters are rather amazing to say the least, such as one hunter who claimed that he one day heard a strange noise, only to follow it and find a portal in the side of the mountain, through which he could see a group of Inukins dancing. He claimed that he had only watched them for a moment, but that when he got to his sled it seemed to have aged in the elements and his game had rotted away, and when he returned home it turned out that he had been gone for an entire year. It is tale that is said to have really happened, but which seems as if it must surely be colored with some legend.
Others are more based in actual eyewitness accounts. In 1993, the Arctic Sounder published an impressive range of accounts of encounters with the mysterious Inukin, which would later be republished in the Anchorage Daily News. In one of the accounts, a villager from near the Noatak river named Kenneth Ashby recounts a rather ominous experience he had with the creatures while fetching water from the river with his brother in the summer of 1938. As they made their way through the wilderness, Ashby claims that they were jumped and attacked by a group of feral little people about 3 feet in height, with bowl-style haircuts and draped in caribou skins. After a fierce struggle they managed to escape when the creatures were distracted by the arrival of the two young men’s grandfather.
Ashby claims that that very same summer his sister chased off a group of the creatures trying to steal her catch of salmon at the river. Ashby would have another encounter with the Inukins 9 years later, when he was camping at the river with a group of relatives on a hunting trip. He reports that during the night they could hear the crunching of leaves and the Inukins communicating with each other in strange, bird-like whistles, but whenever they went to look for the elusive creatures they would scamper away, as if playing hide and seek. They played this game all the way down the river up to the village, where they were finally chased away back into the wilderness by the local men.
The series of articles also told the account of local woman in the same area named Flora Penn, who claims that she was out with friends traveling up the Noatak and at one point they stopped to pick some berries. As they did so they suddenly noticed a tiny man with a large, bulbous noise, big pointy ears, and a cone shaped head casually sitting upon a driftwood tree smoking a pipe. Penn says they watched the curious little man for a full hour, and the whole time he just smoked his pipe and looked around. Then suddenly, the creature was reportedly either spooked by something or remembered he had something important to do, and he then bolted upright to start running towards the nearby mountains at a frantic pace.
Another witness named Saul Shiedt had an encounter with one of the mysterious little people one summer as he was hunting caribou. After bagging a caribou, he set to work skinning it, and that was when he says he heard the voice of someone speaking in the Eskimo language. When he looked to see who it was, he saw that the voice had come from a diminutive man around 3 feet in height and armed with a bow and arrow. The two had a brief exchange and inspected each other’s respective weapons, with Saul himself armed with a high powered rifle. According to Saul, the Inukin’s bow was too tight for him to pull, and he imagined it must have taken immense strength to make it work. The hunter then told the mysterious stranger that he could take what he wanted from the caribou, and the only thing the Inukin supposedly wanted to take was the fatty part under the knee of the animal. Joining these tales of weirdness is a tale told by a Joe Sun, who said that one day a man had been hunting out in the wilds and had set his sights on a trophy caribou but that there was another hunter who was also pursuing it. He said of the strange sequence of events in the incident thus:
I hear from my parents in the Maniilaq area that there was this man hunting. He had a real rifle. (Not the old kind that you had to load through the barrel with a rod.) He saw a caribou he wanted to get close to, to have a shot at it. He saw another person trying to hunt this caribou too. When this man, a big man, got close to shoot the caribou it changed into a little man. The big man jumped at the little man who escaped and began running and climbing up the mountain.
Perhaps an even stranger story was reported in the May 31 edition of the Anchorage Daily News, and which seems to address the predilection of these Inukin to abduct people. According to the report, a hunter from Marshall, Alaska going by the name Nick Andrew Jr. was out on his snowmobile hunting birds on May 7 and came across a young boy sitting alone out in the middle of a marsh. When he approached the boy he saw that the child seemed to be in some sort of trance or daze, and it was odd that there were no tracks anywhere around him. Asking other snowmobilers in the area didn’t help, because none of them had seen the boy at all. The boy seemed to have just appeared out of nowhere. When Nick asked him what had happened or where his parents were, the boy, who was obviously upset and with a face red and swollen from crying, sputtered out that he didn’t know, and was unable to provide any information at all. The hunter would say:
The boy was disoriented, dazed, confused and scared, with no concept of time. He did not appear tired, nor was he hungry or thirsty.
The concerned Nick decided to help the boy out and took him back to his village, where things would get even more bizarre. After he had come to his senses and calmed down somewhat, the boy claimed that he had been abducted by the little people and taken to nearby Pilcher Mountain, interesting since this particular mountain is known as a hotspot for Inukin encounters. At the mountain he was held captive, and claims to have seen a little girl also being held there who had vanished in the area 40 years earlier. He says that the Inukin had eventually decided to let him go, and had dumped him into the marsh. The boy displayed classic symptoms of lost time, and was unable to provide any details as to where he had been taken.
The 2013 book Myths and Mysteries of Alaska, by Cherry Lyon Jones, gives some curious accounts as well. One of them concerns what appears to have been a rather helpful Inukin. One day an Inupiaq man named Luke Koonuk was out hunting in the area of Point Hope, Alaska, but was out in incredibly remote, isolated terrain when his 4-wheel drive vehicle became stuck in a patch of muck. He was allegedly unable to budge the vehicle by himself, and with no one around for miles and miles it seemed that he was in quite a bit of trouble. After trying to move the vehicle and get it unstuck to the point of exhaustion, the panicked hunter reported that the truck had suddenly and inexplicably risen up, shifted, and then come bouncing back down out of the mud. As he looked on in bafflement, he claims that he could fleetingly see the blur of a shape of a little bipedal creature of some sort dash off into the trees.
The same book gives another account which is really hard to classify, and could be read as a Inukin encounter or one with aliens, but considering the location seems worth mentioning. The report comes from a group of teenagers in Nome, Alaska in 1988. The boys allegedly were driving along at night when they noticed an odd, pulsing light in their rear view mirror. Curious, they turned their vehicle around and went back to see what was going on, and as they approached they saw a humanoid creature between 3 to 4 feet tall, with broad, muscular shoulders standing there bathed in a greenish light. As the car approached, the creature allegedly ran away, but was quickly overcome by the vehicle and apparently run over. The boys would later find that other people had seen one or more of the same sort of creatures in the area at around the same time, either standing by the side of the road or in some cases even chasing vehicles, and there was apparently much talk at the time that this was perhaps the Inukin.
It is fascinating that such reports can be so similar to those of little people in other areas across the face of our planet, and yet still maintain their own stamp of uniqueness. Why do so many cultures throughout the world have traditions and myths of such creatures and why do they so often offer so much resemblance? Are these just some immutable feature upon the landscape of our psyche, or is there something more to all of this? What are these people seeing, if anything? Although such stories of gnomes and trolls may seem to many like something out of a fairy tale, to these people they are most certainly real. Why should that be? Are we, in our technologically advanced civilization with all of our science and shiny toys perhaps missing something? Whatever one may think about such reports, they continue to come in from all over the globe, and they hint at something very odd indeed.
If something on Earth is visible from space, that means it’s big. If it’s acting like something scientists have never seen before in the ocean, that’s not good. If the thing appears to be a giant smoke ring spinning so fast that it’s capable of sucking up fish and moving them far from their schooling grounds, that’s strange and probably bad … unless you own a fish market. Unfortunately, these mysterious ocean smoke rings are real and experts are at a loss to explain them.
For the initiated or those who have never made or seen a smoker’s smoke ring, they’re formed by pushing small amounts of non-inhaled smoke out of the mouth. Adding jaw and tongue movements give them a backspin that makes them tight and last longer. Those giant smoke rings in the sky that everyone is allegedly so afraid of are made using a vortex generator, which releases a cloud and then shoots a hole through the middle, causing the smoke to roll backwards and form a ring. Bernoulli’s principle states that faster air has lower pressure, so the slow outside air keeps the ring together. (cough-cough)
According to a press release from the University of Liverpool, researchers using sea level measurements and surface temperature images taken from satellites discovered strange linked eddies moving in opposite directions of each other. Those opposing spins allowed them to move 10 times as fast as normal eddies and in directions they don’t normally travel in. Chris Hughes, lead author of the study published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters and a sea level scientist (probably a busy man these days), explains:
“Ocean eddies almost always head to the west, but by pairing up they can move to the east and travel ten times as fast as a normal eddy, so they carry water in unusual directions across the ocean.”
And what’s in the water? The researchers believe the ocean smoke rings suck up fish and other marine life and transport them at high speeds to parts unknown. Do the fish get smoked? No, but something strange is going on that Hughes can’t explain.
“The smoke rings require an area of calm water to ‘puff’ out through, which itself is quite unusual. I’ve looked at other areas of other oceans but I’ve only seen them in the oceans around Australia, plus one in the South Atlantic.”
Could these smoke rings generate enough power to transport a ship? Or suck one into the vortex? Does this sound like the beginnings of an Australian Bermuda Triangle? It’s worth keeping an eye on. The fish will appreciate. It.
Like the swallows return to Capistrano – oh, wait, theydon’t return there anymore. Like the buzzards return to Hinckley, Ohio, the ice balls have returned to Russia, this time in the Gulf of Finland off the country’s northwestern coast. Ice balls? Isn’t that what they call high school proms in Siberia?
Pictures of the mysterious ice balls began showing up on social media on December 10th. The balls are strangely uniform in size – about 7 inches (17 cm) in diameter … that’s slightly smaller than a volleyball and double the diameter of a softball. In other words, these are not the kind of ice balls you find floating in drinks at your fancier Christmas parties. Witnesses saw thousands of them bobbing in the frigid water against the shore. The scene was reminiscent of the appearance of the ice balls last year in the Gulf of Ob near a beach in western Siberia. That was reminiscent of the scene in 2015 when thousand of ice balls popped up in the Gulf of Finland, this time off the coast of Tallinn in Estonia. And all of those look like the ice balls that show up regularly on Lake Michigan in the US. What are they and why do they keep coming back to certain locales?
Good guess but no.
The “what” starts with slushy “slob” ice, which is that mushy not-quite-a-berg stuff that is ill-suited for skating. The next ingredient is wind, which blows the slob ice around. Ingredient number three is location – the slob ice needs to be blown around in very shallow waters so it rubs against the shore or sea bed and is rolled into balls much like the start of a typical snowman. Finally, the temperature needs to drop so the balls freeze. All that’s left is timing – the best time for them to show up is overnight so the locals think they’re the frozen eggs of whales, giant sturgeon or aliens.
That where this year’s ice balls become more mysterious. Beyond Russia reports that local ecologist Ilya Leukhin thinks the cause of these balls (pictures here) was not slob ice but an oil spill or industrial oil runoff.
“Salt water is a mix of a variety of salts, so it crystallizes unevenly under cold flows. Crystals are formed around the nucleus. And in this case, water has crystallized around a gas bubble or hydrophobic liquid, a drop of which has a round shape in water.”
An ice ball with a hydrophobic (water-repelling oil) center? Sounds like you shouldn’t pick one up and lick it.
Put down that ice ball!
As to why the ice balls keep returning mysteriously to the Gulf of Finland or Lake Michigan, the best guess is rare coincidences based on those spots having the right slob-ice/salinity/shallowness/temperature/wind combination.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (Tribune News Service) — Fort Bragg’s Golden Knights frequently display unworldly talent as they perform around the globe. But are they aliens? Team, are highly trained soldiers who have wowed crowds at air shows, international competitions and sporting events for nearly 60 years. They also perform on and around Fort Bragg — where they are based — throughout the year.
But at least one person in the Knights’ own backyard confused the paratroopers for a UFO.
On Dec. 1, a user of the website ufostalker.com reported a sighting at about 5:25 p.m. on Nov. 30. The website is a real-time tracking system based on reporting to the Mutual UFO Network, or MUFON.
“[Five] burning orbs appeared to be coming through the atmosphere before rapidly changing directions, both descending and ascending,” the user wrote. “[Three] more orbs came in and did similar things before this.”
The date and time of the sighting corresponds to Fort Bragg’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The event draws thousands to the Main Post Parade Field each year for family-friendly events, including musical performances, an appearance by Santa Claus and a jump by the Golden Knights.
The report at ufostalker.com includes a video of the sighting, which clearly matches videos taken of the Golden Knights at the tree lighting event, including one posted by this reporter during the tree lighting ceremony.
The Golden Knights are well-known around the world.
Millions of people see them perform each year. They have also earned more than 2,000 gold medals in international and national competitions and nearly 2,000 silver and bronze medals, too.
The team has also broken roughly 350 world records.
But, by design, most of their jumps take place in daylight.
The Nov. 30 jump was a rare exception.
Before they could light the post Christmas tree, officials needed the skies to darken. So, naturally, the Golden Knights jumped as night fell on the nation’s largest military installation.
And they compensated for the lack of visibility by strapping on flares.
It made for quite the show. And to at least one person, it was an out-of-this-world experience.

On Tuesday, Kendrick Lamar sat down with radio host Howard Stern for a chat. Fresh out of an all-night recording studio session, Lamar dropped by the Stern Show for the first time ever to discuss his album DAMN., which was recently nominated for seven Grammys, growing up in Compton, and, most remarkably, a UFO sighting.
Lamar says he was six years old when he saw something in the sky that looked like “a dart go past.” “I’m going to stand my ground to this… Nobody believed me then and [nobody] believe me now. It’s just something I can’t really describe, because it just sounds like, ‘Okay, you just saw a dart go past.’ That shit don’t make sense… It was just a surreal moment.”
Stern’s co-host Robin Quivers then asked if Lamar was abducted by aliens, and he played along. “I probably did. That’s probably why I’m doing music right now. Who knows. They probably gave me the energy.”
Listen to the full interview here, where he also talks about collaborating with Prince, how his To Pimp a Butterfly song “Alright” has becoming a rallying cry for the Black Lives Matter movement, and much more.

In other music news, Brockhampton just dropped a new song and video “BOOGIE” and a 22-minute trailer for their upcoming film. Watch them right here.
A UFO appears to fire a red laser beam toward Earth from outside the International Space Station, in a video excerpted from the live NASA online video feed from the ISS on December 5. But what does NASA have to say about this latest bizarre UFO sighting at the space station?
The red laser incident marks the third time since mid October that the NASA video feed has captured what UFO watchers believe to be an alien craft in close proximity to the International Space Station. But while in the previous two sightings the supposed UFO appeared to be merely observing the space station in operation, this time, whatever the entity is — or is not — seems to be taking aggressive action toward our planet.
Or is it?
NASA has what appears to be a very interesting explanation for the red laser. But first, what do the UFO watchers think they see in the video?
“Although red UFOs have been seen near the ISS, witnessing a beam of light from one of then has never been recorded before,” wrote Scott Waring on his popular UFO Sightings Daily site. “Lucky for us, Streetcap1 of Youtube caught this anomaly while watch the NASA cams. He keeps a watchful eye out for any UFOs near the station. The question is, what is that beam and should we be worried about it?
“I watch the ISS all the time and almost every day I see something strange that is unexplainable and this is definitely one of them,” wrote one commenter on the site, while another claimed to suffer headaches as a result of sighting an earlier UFO shooting a laser beam.
The laser beam was actually a test firing of the new Optical Payload for Laser Communcation, or OPALS, system run in part by NASA from its Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California.
The purpose of OPALS is to create a new, ultra-high speed communications link between Earth and spacecraft such as the space station.
But UFO Sightings Daily editor Scott Waring is not convinced. He says that he is familiar with OPALS, and the laser beam in the video is not it.
“I built a laser communicator before DARPA did and I have some experience with it. This laser is not hitting the space station. The lasers I saw were purple, which has a better frequency and higher sound quality than red laser,” Waring wrote on his site. “I have see OPALS at work at the ISS live cam. What I saw was not one, but many lasers hitting the ISS solar panels in a row at the same time.”
But if Waring is correct and the laser in the December 5 UFO video is not the NASA OPALS project in action — then what is it?
'Earth Must be Warned!' - French Astronaut's Chilling Warning Resurfaced This Week
'Earth Must be Warned!' - French Astronaut's Chilling Warning Resurfaced This Week
Claudie André-Deshays Haigneré is at the center of an enormous mystery. In 2008, the talented and highly intelligent Frenchwoman issued a hysterical warning to the people of Earth after attempting to commit suicide. No one at the time knew what the warning meant and since Dr. Haigneré has recovered she has refused to clarify the matter.
She was working on researching involving human and alien DNA
Dr. Haigneré is an extraordinarily accomplished woman who has enjoyed a storied and multi-faceted career. She is a rheumatologist and has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and certificates in biology, sports medicine, aviation and space medicine. In 1993, she traveled to space for the first time and became the first European woman to visit the International Space Station along with her husband who is also an astronaut.
After her travels in space, Dr. Haigneré entered French politics and served as a minster for Research and New Technologies between 2002 and 2004. She was also the minister for European Affairs between 2004 and 2005. Despite her efforts, while she was in office the budget for scientific research in France were cut. Disillusioned, she cut her political career short and went to work in a biology lab at the prestigious Pasteur Institute.
Sources have reported that Dr. Haigneré’s work at the Pasteur Institute was of a rather esoteric nature. Some have even claimed that she was working on researching involving human and alien DNA. After several years at the Pasteur Institute, it was widely reported that Dr. Haigneré was taken to hospital after taking a huge overdose of sleeping pills. She was conscious upon arrival but had to be forcibly restrained as she fought against doctors, screaming “Earth must be warned!” Shortly after that, she lapsed into a coma.
Immediately after this extraordinary scene, it was reported that there was a mysterious fire which has never been properly explained by workers at the Pasteur Institute which has raised suspicions that Dr. Haigneré came across something groundbreaking and deeply disturbing in the course of her research. However, if this is the case, Dr. Haigneré is not willing to speak publicly about it anymore. She has blamed her suicide attempt on ‘burnout syndrome’ and has now moved on to the directorship of the largest science museum in Europe, the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie
'LIFE CHANGING' This is what happens if you see the mysterious triangle UFO
'LIFE CHANGING' This is what happens if you see the mysterious triangle UFO
A MAN has claimed his life will never be the same again after a bizarre encounter he and two friends had with a mysterious triangular UFO, as reported sightings increase across the globe.
Yesterday Express.co.uk reported on the growing number of bizarre triangular UFOs being reported, with the latest in Glasgow, Scotland.
Each time they are reportedly black in colour, of an enormous size, relatively low flying, at slow speeds and utterly silent.
Reports on underside lights can vary with one type, often called a TR-3B, having a light at each corner and a larger middle one.
The other type reported tends to have five or seven lights in a V shape along two of the sides.
Many witnesses report feeling a sense of fear or awe at the sighting and sometimes numbness and memory loss.

There are two main reported types of triangle UFOs, both pictured here.
Now the man has told how his life will never be the same again after spotting the TR-3B-like UFO.
He reported the sighting to the US-based Mutual UFO Network, a database of UFO reports from across the globe, which also investigates sightings.
The witness, who has not been named by MUFON, said: "Two friends and myself were driving down the road when we saw to our right a three-storey tall, black, triangular UFO hovering stationary in the air.
"It was less the 500 feet to our right and east a little over a residential area, nearly 120 feet off the ground.
"It had a light, each on it's belly in the three corners of this triangular craft.
The three of us just kept asking each other if we were seeing the same thing. We were blown away to say the least. Life changing.

"I was the driver, but I couldn't keep my eyes off it. It's like time stopped only because we watched it for minutes while driving but never made it down the road.
"I still can't figure that out."
He said the craft's surface did not appear smooth, but looked to have detail that he could not make it out.
He added: "The vehicle began to move, after our seeing only maybe three minutes of actual hovering.
"It moved extremely slowly for what seemed to me like forever.
"The three of us just kept asking each other if we were seeing the same thing.
"We were blown away to say the least. Life changing."
Then, he claimed it moved off to the south east, appearing to shrink.
He added: "In a blink it was very small, and we realised it had taken off so fast that to us it appeared to shrink.
"We watched until it disappeared into a point on the horizon some 20 miles south east of its straight path of flight.
"We were very quiet for a while in the car after we calmed down. I think of it often and how it affected many of my points of view."
The sighting was on January 18 this year at 10.40pm local time in Herrin, Illinois, USA, however, it has just been reported to MUFON which is investigating.
Some alien hunters believe the triangles are the motherships of aliens visiting Earth.
However, many conspiracy theorists believe they are actually secret aircraft developed by the US Air Force (USAF) and other military which are being tested or used.
The TR-3B is alleged by conspiracy theorists to be a secret "black project" spy craft of the US Government that can be flown into space.
For years, there have been investigations by scientists into what causes certain “humming” or “ringing” that can be heard, felt, or measured in various parts of the world. Often barely perceptible, such humming noises have become popularly associated with a number of locations, such as the town of Taos, New Mexico. The cause of these sounds, however, remains a matter of dispute by scientists.
Additionally, their mysterious nature has led to a number of imaginative theories about their origin, which range from ideas about clandestine underground bases to secret drilling operations carried out by world governments. There are, however, more likely explanations for the varieties of strange sounds that are reported, which have more to do with little-understood natural phenomena.
With the onset of the winter months in North America (and hence, the arrival of “Mystery Boom” season), there has been some discussion of Earth’s mysterious humming as of late. For instance, a recent item in Central Oregon’s The Bulletin reported on the phenomenon, under the headline, “Scientists unlocking mystery of the hum of Earth.”
According to the Bulletin article:
“The Earth is ringing like a bell all the time,” said Spahr Webb, a seismologist at Columbia University.
The hum is everywhere. Its ultralow frequencies have been recorded in Antarctica and Algeria, and — as announced this week by the American Geophysical Union — on the floor of the Indian Ocean.
We don’t know what causes it. Some have theorized that it’s the echo of colliding ocean waves, or the movements of the atmosphere, or vibrations born of sea and sky alike.
In fact, there are probably a variety of factors that contribute to the mysterious “hum” of the Earth. A number of unusual phenomena have been reported over the years, which include sub-audible “hums” like those discussed in the news recently, to fairly audible (and often eerie) sounds which appear to emanate from within the Earth. Among these are noises which have been compared to sounding like “pipe organs” or horns, produced by rock and ice formations. In one well-documented series of reports of such phenomenon, published in the Edinburgh Philosophical Journal in 1819 by M. von Humboldt, organ-like sounds were reported emanating from rock formations appearing along the banks of the Orinoco river.
Another instance of similar “Earth hums” in nature involved a sound that was recorded in Greenland on a number of instances. Dubbed “Ton der Dove-Bai”, it was first reported in August 1932 by a French Expedition exploring the Scoresby Sound. This sound, according to the French report, resembled a massive foghorn, and while the report was the first official record of the sound, it had been reported eight times by an earlier expedition group, who reported hearing the sound in five different locations in Greenland. These reports occurred both during the day and after the polar nightfall. The likely cause of the noise had been ice sheets shifting with gradual changes in the temperature.
With regard to the recent discussion of ocean waves contributing to the Earth’s “hum,” it is worth noting that a study featured in Geophysical Research Letters back in the Spring of 2015 discussed this phenomenon, classifying it as a kind of microseismic activity caused by ocean waves. The study suggested that “movement of deep waves across ridges and other geological formations along the ocean floor” might produce the hum-like effect, which is perceptible in certain parts of the world.
Additionally, as far back as 1998 data from a gravimeter located in East Antarctica indicated that certain unusual vibrations produced by the Earth essentially continue indefinitely. This may also be suggestive of the phenomenon having an origin with deep ocean waves.
Whatever the true causes of Earth’s hum may be, science is beginning to close in on the phenomenon, and thus, a more clear understanding of our planet’s mechanics takes shape over time. For now, those interested in different varieties of mysterious sounds that occur in nature can visit this link, which provides an overview of the phenomenon, and discusses a number of them in depth.

Man says he captured UFO on camera on NW Side of San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO (KABB/SBG) - A man says he caught a UFO on camera as it flew around the Northwest Side Thursday night.
The viewer told us he followed the craft at a distance all night and said he spotted three of the "massive" crafts in the air.
The witness, who identified himself as a former pilot for the Air Force, said "this was no flight path approved by the FAA" and said it wasn't a helicopter "as it made no sound."
The man said there were at least 10 vehicles in front of him that stopped on the side of the road. He told us the craft then somehow shrunk down in size to land in what he believes was a warehouse off of Interstate 10 near the Loop 410 Interchange.
The viewer said, "They were absolutely all over last night."
