Whether Human or Alien Made: Something Sophisticated is Happening
Whether Human or Alien Made: Something Sophisticated is Happening
This massive 780-foot (238 meters) crop circle appeared in a remote area (Milk Hill) of Wiltshire, England back in 2001. It was an extremely complex and elaborate design, composed of exactly 409 circles that form what is known as a triskelion – a motif consisting of three interlocking spirals.
The symbol has been seen throughout history and across multiple cultures dating back thousands of years.
You may be skeptical, but this did in fact happen, making major headlines and eliciting the scrutiny of many researchers and scientists.
Footage To Verify Existence
There is some great footage of it in the documentary “Crop Circles: quest for truth,” by academy award winning director William Gazecki. You can view that here.
“It was so large that it took us half an hour to find the center.”
(quote taken from video link above)
There are some more great images of it in this YouTube video. You can also see a helicopter flying over it from the documentary “Thrive” in this video (at the 26.16 minute mark) or check out various articles on it, like this one.
It is one of thousands of complex, highly detailed, and precise formations that have had researchers and scientists baffled for decades.
Theories And Explanations
Although a relationship between crop circles and unidentified flying objects (UFOs) has been postulated, there have as of yet been no proven sightings (or credible witnesses) of actual UFOs in connection to the formation of these patterns.
Sometimes, military helicopters have been captured examining the circles as well, there are a couple videos floating around on the the internet that allude to this, you can check some of them out here.
That being said, most of these formations are a little sloppy and, for the most part, the result of clever hoaxes, like this recent one in California. But some are so intricate, meaningful, and precisely designed that their execution would require an enormous amount of time, effort and technology – not the the work of a single night. Again, these complex patterns have appeared thousands of times throughout the world, though they are more predominant in the UK.
The crop circle at Milk Hill (see cover photo) is a perfect example of this. Again, keep in mind however, that there have been many impressive and very believable circles created by hoaxers, and as many have suggested, such circle makers could indeed create beautiful works of art overnight.
The problem is, nobody has ever come forward and nobody has been caught in the act.
“Some of these formations are so immense and complex as to defy reason. And after all these decades, none of the perpetrators have been caught in the act of making any of the truly extraordinary formations.”
– Richard Dolan, historian, academic, author, and one of the world’s leading UFO researchers (1)
The truth is, many of the complex formations are completely unexplained, and riddled with oddities that lend even more mystery to the already confusing equation.
One of these oddities is the fact that some formations, for example, have crops that were completely pushed down without ever having been broken. In some cases they’ve been bent just inches above the ground.
Traditional hoaxers have used wooden planks in the past, but in some cases, it’s clear that this method could not be behind the resulting circles.
Some of these designs are so mysterious and complex that they’ve been studied in a laboratory setting, and some have indicated that the nodes of some of the stalks were blasted out on one side. It’s not conclusively known how this was done, but the effect has been replicated by highly localized microwave heating. This type of technique causes water inside to vaporize and dislodge. As a result, the stock flops completely over to one side. (1)
“If something like this caused the formations, then we are clearly talking about a highly sophisticated agency behind the phenomenon.”
– Richard Dolan (1)
This is a well known, perplexing phenomenon. Are crop circle hoaxers really blasting these stalks with highly localized microwave heating, or something that would produce the same results?
According to University of Oregon physicist Richard Taylor, yes, they are. He believes this is the only possible explanation, and has suggested that crop circle artists are using GPS devices, lasers, and microwaves to create these astonishing patterns of geometric forms.
This is what he wrote in an August 2011 issue of Physics World:
“Crop circle artists are not going to give up their secrets easily. This summer, unknown artists will venture into the countryside close to your homes and carry out their craft, safe in the knowledge that they are continuing the legacy of the most science-oriented art movement in history.”
He also expressed this same belief in some work of his that was published in the Journal Nature in 2010. (source)
Just as the Richard Dolan quote points out (above the picture), if something like this caused these formations, the people responsible must have a tremendous amount of resources, people, and money at their disposal, not to mention the skills necessary to make such a large and mathematically perfect design. It would indeed, as Taylor suggests, be the most science-oriented art movement in history, if done by humans.
Another interesting oddity regarding crop circles is that the electromagnetic field over the area where the crop has been laid down to create the image is often elecrostatically charged.
“There is a mounting body of evidence that suggests that a rare form of electromagnetic energy called an ionised plasma vortex (generally known as ball lighting) is involved.”
This explanation was originally offered by physicist Dr. Terence Meadon, who believed that these patterns were the result of atmospheric phenomena. He suggested that wind currents and ionized plasmas are the culprit. This type of theory does have validity, as several investigators believe that some kind of light energy is key in creating these circles. (2)(3)
The crop circle phenomenon is very interesting. Understandably, one might be quick to instantly dismiss the idea that some of these designs could be the work of some unknown entity. Many reasons to further ponder these wonders of the world exist.
Foster Gamble, heir to Proctor Gamble Corporation, and great-great-grandson to James Gamble, illustrates in his film Thrive that the extremely complex circles are also littered with strange magnetic particles.
“The patterns of the formations themselves have been studied endlessly. Aside from being supremely beautiful, many seem to be messages in one form or another, often with cosmological implications. None seem ominous or evil. If one receives any sense or feeling from them, it is benevolence. If it were to be the case that these formations are created by an extraterrestrial or non-human intelligence, we may conclude that at least one of the groups here might in fact care about us and wish to help us.”
– Richard Dolan (1)
Ask yourself, could hoaxers have created all of these (thousands) of patterns? Why is this a phenomenon that dates back (according to some) thousands of years? Even the science JournalNature published an article about them in 1880.
Could a few people have created something as complex as this one? In the dead of night, leaving no traces, marks, or footprints?
It's believed that between 40 and 80 percent of the human genome was developed thanks to ancient viruses. Unlike bacteria, which simply live in the body, viruses make active changes to your cells, injecting their own genetic code.

An ancient virus could be responsible for human consciousness, giving you the ability to think for yourself.
New research has linked a human gene responsible for conscious thought to a virus that was spread in the early days of humanity.
Two papers published in the Cell journal discuss the origins of the Arc gene, which packages up genetic information and sends it around nerve cells in little virus-style capsules.
These packages of information are believed to be critical to how our nerves communicate and could be responsible for our thoughts.
Elissa D. Pastuzyn, who authored one of the studies, said: "Evolutionary analysis indicates that Arc is derived from a vertebrate lineage of Ty3/gypsy retrotransposons, which are also ancestors to retroviruses."
It's believed that between 40 percent and 80 percent of the human genome was developed thanks to ancient viruses.
Unlike bacteria, which simply live in the body, viruses make active changes to your cells, injecting their own genetic code.
This can often be entirely useless – and sometimes causes harm, including through the reproduction of more viruses – but occasionally we end up with useful modifications.
And it seems an ancient virus may have given rise to all human thought — thanks to the Arc gene.
Pastuzyn says that the virus was "repurposed during evolution, to mediate intercellular communication in the nervous system."
James Ashley, who authored one of the studies, said: "The neuronal gene Arc is essential for long-lasting information storage in the mammalian brain, mediates various forms of synaptic plasticity, and has been implicated in neurodevelopmental disorders."
He adds that mutations in the gene have been "linked to autism and schizophrenia," which suggests that Arc has a pivotal role to play in how we perceive and react to the world around us.
MIND-BOGGLING DISCOVERY: PERFECTLY PRESERVED BRAIN OF IRON AGE MAN UNEARTHED IN YORK
MIND-BOGGLING DISCOVERY: PERFECTLY PRESERVED BRAIN OF IRON AGE MAN UNEARTHED IN YORK
Archaeologists believe they have discovered one of the world’s oldest brains that once belonged to a man in Iron Age Britain who was sacrificed in a ritual killing.
Scientists found the cranium in a muddy pit when they were excavating a site before a new campus was to be built at the University of York. When a researcher reached inside the skull, she was stunned to discover the soft tissue of the 2,500-year-old brain still preserved.
Fractures and marks on the bones suggest the man, who was aged between 26 and 45, died most probably from hanging, after which he was carefully decapitated and his head was then buried on its own.
Grey matter: The 2,500-year-old preserved brain has baffled scientists after it was found during an excavation at the University of York
Scientists have been baffled by how the brain tissue – which usually rots after a couple at years – managed to remain intact for so long.
‘The survival of brain remains where no other soft tissues are preserved is extremely rare,’ said Sonia O’Connor, research fellow in archaeological sciences at the University of Bradford.
‘This brain is particularly exciting because it is very well preserved, even though it is the oldest recorded find of this type in the UK, and one of the earliest worldwide.’
Philip Duffey, a neurologist at York Hospital who scanned the skull, said: ‘I’m amazed and excited that scanning has shown structures which appear to be unequivocally of brain origin.’
Baffled: Dr Sonia O Connor, from the University of Bradford, examines the remains of the brain
‘I think that it will be very important to establish how these structures have survived, whether there are traces of biological material within them and, if not, what is their composition.’
Experts from York Archaeological Trust were commissioned by the university to carry out the exploratory dig last year before building work on the £750million campus expansion started.
They discovered the solitary skull face-down in the pit in dark brown organic rich, soft sandy clay.
The university put together a team of scientists, archaeologists, chemists, bio-archaeologists and neurologists, to establish how the man’s brain, could have survived when all the other soft tissue had decayed leaving only the bone.
Remains: Archaeologists sift through the muddy pit at the site near the University of York where the brain was found
The team is also investigating details of the man’s death and burial that may have contributed to the survival of what is normally highly vulnerable soft tissue.
The research, which was funded by the University of York and English Heritage, is published in the Journal of Archaeological Science.
Since the discovery, the brain and skull have been kept in strictly controlled conditions, but scientists have examined samples using a range of sophisticated equipment, including a CT scanner at York Hospital and mass spectrometers at the University of York.
Samples of brain material had a DNA sequence that matched sequences found only in a few individuals from Tuscany and the Near East. Carbon dating suggests the remains date from between 673-482BC.
Fractures on the second neck vertebrae point to some kind of trauma before the man died and and a cluster of about nine horizontal fine cut-marks made by a thin-bladed instrument, such as a knife, can be seen on the front of the brain.
Preserved: Brain material shows as dark folded matter at the top of the head in this computer-generated view of the skull
Clean: Scientists said there was no trace on the brain of the usual preservation methods such as embalming or smoking
Scientists are now investigating how lipids and proteins found in the brain preserved the brain and what happened between the man dying and his burial.
Dr O’Connor said: ‘It is rare to be able to suggest the cause of death for skeletonised human remains of archaeological origin. The preservation of the brain in otherwise skeletonised remains is even more astonishing but not unique.
‘This is the most thorough investigation ever undertaken of a brain found in a buried skeleton and has allowed us to begin to really understand why a brain can survive thousands of years after all the other soft tissues have decayed.’
Despite the place that ‘trophy heads’ appear to have played in Iron Age societies and evidence for the preservation of human remains in the Bronze Age, the researchers say there is no evidence for that in this case. They found no marks indicating deliberate preservation by embalming or smoking.
Dr O’Connor added: ‘The hydrated state of the brain and the lack of evidence for putrefaction suggests that burial, in the fine-grained, anoxic sediments of the pit, occurred very rapidly after death. This is a distinctive and unusual sequence of events, and could be taken as an explanation for the exceptional brain preservation.’
The Melting Of Arctic Permafrost Could Release A ‘Mercury Apocalypse’
The Melting Of Arctic Permafrost Could Release A ‘Mercury Apocalypse’
There’s a ticking time bomb composed of Mercury hidden beneath our planets Permafrost. Scientists warn that climate change could accelerate the release of toxic Mercury, and it’s worrying.
Climate change could unleash 15 million gallons of mercury trapped in permafrost. And that's just in the Northern Hemisphere.

Despite the fact that Mercury has a lot of good uses, its toxic to humans and animals and can pose a great threat to our planet’s ecosystems.
As melting permafrost releases mercury, eventually some of it will make it into the food chain—and into animals such as the Alaskan caribou. As noted by National Geographic, “in some forms, mercury is a powerful neurotoxin, and in children it can harm brain development, affecting cognition, memory, language and even motor and visual skills. Even in adults, excessive amounts can hamper vision, speech and muscle movements, compromise the reproductive and immune systems, and cause cardiovascular problems.”
If global warming ends up melting the permafrost—the permanently frozen surface layer of the northern hemisphere—it could trigger a global ecological catastrophe, since this area contains more than 15 million gallons (58 million liters) of mercury buried according to a group of researchers.
This is a worrisome fact because this is roughly twice as much mercury as can be found in the rest of Earth’s soils, ocean and atmosphere combined, reports Live Science.

“Our results indicate the active layer alone represents the largest [mercury] reservoir on the planet,” says the study, published in the Geophysical Research Letters journal.
“The active layer and permafrost together contain nearly twice as much [mercury] as all other soils, the ocean, and the atmosphere combined.”
Natural mercury comes from the atmosphere and is chemically linked with organic substances in the northern soils, recalls the study published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters.
A team of researchers from the US Geological Survey analyzed 13 ice samples taken in Alaska between 2004 and 2012 and compared them with 11,000 samples of tundra soil in various parts of the world.
The analysis revealed that permafrost contains 10 times more mercury than that expelled into the atmosphere by human activity in the past 30 years.
“There would be no environmental problem if everything remained frozen, but we know the Earth is getting warmer,” study author Paul Schuster, a hydrologist at the U.S. Geological Survey in Boulder, Colorado, said in a statement
“This discovery is a game-changer.”
“Twenty-four percent of all the soil above the equator is permafrost, and it has this huge pool of locked-up mercury. What happens if the permafrost thaws? How far will the mercury travel up the food chain? These are big-picture questions that we need to answer,” added Schuster.
“There’s a significant social and human health aspect to this study,” said Steve Sebestyen, a research hydrologist at the USDA Forest Service in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
“The consequences of this mercury being released into the environment are potentially huge because mercury has health effects on organisms and can travel up the food chain, adversely affecting native and other communities.”
Born in 1921, Air Marshal Sir Beresford Peter Torrington Horsleybegan his career with the British military in 1939, when he boarded the TSS Cyclops, a steamer bound for Malaya. For the return journey, and as the Second World War was declared, he changed ships – to the TSS Menelaus – and eventually gravitated to a career in the Royal Air Force. First as an air-gunner, then as a pilot, and subsequently as a flight-instructor. Horsley was later attached to the Communications-Squadron of the 2nd Tactical Air Force in France. And, during the D-Day invasion of Normandy, he accepted the job of personal pilot to Major-General Sir Miles Graham. He returned to England in 1947, joined the staff of the Central Flying School, 23 Training Group, and was appointed Adjutant to the Oxford University Air Squadron in 1948.
In July 1949, Horsley entered the Royal Household as a Squadron Leader, and as Equerry to Her Royal Highness, the Princess Elizabeth, Duchess of Edinburgh (better known today as Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II), and to His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh. In 1952, Horsley became a Wing-Commander and in 1953 became a full-time Equerry to the Duke of Edinburgh; it was a role he held until 1956. His final post in the Royal Air Force was as the Deputy-Commander-in-Chief of Strike Command, which he held from 1973 to 1975. And there’s one more thing: Horsley’s other claim to fame is that, in late 1954, he had a face-to-face encounter with a human-looking alien who went by the memorable and mysterious name of Mr. Janus.
The very strange affair began when Horsley learned of the Duke of Edinburgh’s fascination with the complexities of the UFO puzzle. According to Horsley (in his 1998 book, Sounds From Another Room): “[The Duke] was quite interested. As always his mind was open. He agreed I should do a study on the subject in my spare time; as long as I kept it in perspective and didn’t bring the Palace into disrepute. He didn’t want to see headlines about him believing in little green men.”
With typical British understatement, Horsley said: “At the end of my tour at the Palace, I had a very strange experience.” To say the least!
Sir Arthur Barratt, who worked at Buckingham Palace, as Gentleman Usher to the Sword of State, introduced Horsley to a certain General Martin, who, in turn, put him in touch with a mysterious Mrs. Markham. Interestingly, the English researchers Dr. David Clarke and Andy Roberts learned from Horsley that General Martin “believed UFOs were visitors from an alien civilization which wanted to warn us of the dangers posed by atomic war.” Mrs. Markham who told Horsley to turn up at a particular apartment in London’s Chelsea district on a specific evening, where he would meet a stranger: the aforementioned Mr. Janus.
Horsley said of his chat with the man that: “Janus was there, sitting by the fire in a deep chair. He asked: ‘What is your interest in flying saucers?’ We talked for hours about traveling in space and time. I don’t know what or who he was. He didn’t say he was a visitor from another planet but I had that impression. I believe he was here to observe us. I never saw him again. I have no qualms about the reaction to my experience with Mr. Janus.”
Rather disturbingly, and echoing the claims of so many of the Contactees that the Space-Brothers were concerned by our ever-growing nuclear arsenals, UFO investigator Timothy Good says: “In my second and last meeting with Sir Peter Horsley at his home in 2000, he revealed that, in addition to being disturbed by the realization that Janus was reading his mind, he was even more disturbed by the fact that this extraordinary man ‘knew all Britain’s top-secret nuclear secrets.’”
MI5 building
In light of what Mr. Janus knew, is it possible that this bizarre episode was actually part of some state-sponsored operation designed to ascertain the nature of Sir Peter’s character and his loyalty to the country? This particularly novel and thought-provoking theory was most assuredly on the minds of researchers Clarke and Roberts, who asked Horsley if he considered it feasible that he had been “set up” by MI5 to “test his vulnerability.” MI5 being the U.K.’s equivalent of the United States’ FBI.
Horsley provided the pair with an adamant, “no.” Right up until his death in 2001, Horsley’s position on the overwhelmingly weird experience was rock-solid: “I don’t care what people think – it was what happened. I would say they come from another planet somewhere in the universe but not in our galaxy. They are benign, not aggressive and, like us, are explorers.”
Researchers found surprisingly large quantities of mercury in the permafrost of the northern hemisphere. As temperatures rise and ice continues to melt, the mercury can be released, with significant consequences for both wildlife and mankind.
Maps of mercury concentrations (micrograms of mercury per square meter) in Northern hemisphere permafrost zones for four soil layers: 0-30 centimeters, 0-100 centimeters, 0-300 centimeters, and permafrost. The permafrost map represents the mercury bound to frozen organic matter below the Active Layer Depth (ALD) and above 300 cm depth.

The tentacles of climate change are long and far-reaching. As temperatures rise, it brings along a number of unforeseen changes. Rising temperatures are threatening the oceans, causing more hurricanes, and even causing a coffee crisis. Now, we can add mercury to that long list of problems.
A new study reports that permafrost soils contain more mercury than the rest of the planet’s soils, atmosphere, and oceans combined.
In the new study, geologists assessed the concentrations in permafrost cores from Alaska. They found that permafrost soils contain two times more mercury than soils elsewhere in the world — an unexpected discovery with important consequences.
“This discovery is a game-changer,” said Paul Schuster, a hydrologist at the U.S. Geological Survey in Boulder, Colorado and lead author of the new study. “We’ve quantified a pool of mercury that had not been done previously, and the results have profound implications for better understanding the global mercury cycle.”
This wouldn’t normally be a very high concern, but the problem is that temperatures are now rising.
Permafrost in Alaska is thawing, and a new study finds northern permafrost soils are the largest reservoir of mercury on the planet, storing nearly twice as much mercury as all other soils, the ocean, and the atmosphere combined.
Credit: John A. Kelley, USDA Natural Resources Conservation, CC BY 2.0.
Mercury tends to bind with organic material in the soil and gets stuck with that soil. As it gets buried by sediment, it becomes frozen into permafrost, where it can remain for thousands of years. But if temperatures rise, all that can change. When temperatures rise and the permafrost melts, mercury isn’t fixed in place anymore. Instead of being frozen in the permafrost, it can also be transported by waters or microorganisms, or it can slowly seep on its own.
“There would be no environmental problem if everything remained frozen, but we know the Earth is getting warmer,” Schuster said. “Although measurement of the rate of permafrost thaw was not part of this study, the thawing permafrost provides a potential for mercury to be released—that’s just physics.”
Locally, the effects could be dramatic. From microorganisms, things can slowly move up the food chain, and like most toxins, they tend to gather higher up the food chain — and potentially end up on our plates.
The release of mercury could also have far-reaching global consequences. If released into the atmosphere, it could travel quickly at the mercy of air currents, possibly ending up as far as thousands of kilometers away.
But we don’t really know how much and how far the mercury can travel. Scientists are also unsure how much of the stored mercury would affect ecosystems if the permafrost were to thaw.
Schuster hopes to analyze that those issues in further studies.
“24 percent of all the soil above the equator is permafrost, and it has this huge pool of locked-up mercury,” he said.“What happens if the permafrost thaws? How far will the mercury travel up the food chain? These are big-picture questions that we need to answer.”

The black triangle UFO is a global phenomenon, with hundreds of sightings each years across the globe, but most in the US.
Steve Barone, aUFO hunter based near the Nellis Air Force base in Las Vegas Valley, Nevada, uploads sightings to his YouTube channel UFOs in The USA and claims this footage is one of his best yet.
In the video, two apparently triangle-shaped objects appear to fly across the screen from right to left.
Mr Barone said in the video: "I set my night vision camera up to do a little sky fishing looking at the entrance of Red Rock Canyon.
"When I got the video inside and went through it slowly and was amazed towards the end of the video you see two triangle objects fly out of the canyon into the Las Vegas valley.
"If you look really close they look like little triangles and appear to have little half domes on top of them."
He said some people had suggested there was just one with a shadow beneath, but he claimed the top went made a separate manoeuvre going into a spin while the one below did not.
YouTube
REAL PHENOMENON? Mysterious triangle UFOs, like these CGI mock ups are seen across the globe.
When I got the video inside and went through it slowly and was amazed towards the end of the video you see two triangle objects fly out of the canyon into the Las Vegas valley.
Steve Barone
The UFO hunter added: "If you look at the snap shots you see the bottom one is clearly a triangle and the top one has a rounded dome on top.
"It is a really good example of what was flying out of that canyon.
"Vegas is unreal, I am still waiting for the mother of all UFOs as it is going to be really special. It has happened before but I just didn't catch it and I know it can happen again."
Many people claim the triangle UFOs are the legendary TR-3B craft - said to be a secret spy plane developed by the US military.
The TR-3B is alleged by conspiracy theorists to be a secret "black project" spy craft of the US Government that can be flown into space.
The allegations are that these crafts are created at top-secret military bases like Area 51 in Nevada, by reverse engineering alien technology.
Others claim they are actual UFOs flown by aliens visiting Earth.
Apart from witness accounts there is no proof the TR-3B exists.
Angela Patchell, who viewed Mr Baron's video, said: "This is amazing. I saw something similar a few weeks ago.
"It passed over in front of me at a super fast speed from right to left and disappeared. This was after viewing UFO orbs high in the night sky the night before."

Those who were excited about the Super Blue Blood Moon last week probably don’t live in Venice, where the pull of the Moon at its closest approach to Earth further dried up the canals already mysteriously on the edge of being bone dry. And, while the lunar eclipse that turned the Moon blood-red didn’t cause it, frustrated Siberians angry after a local river mysteriously turned the same color may swear at it anyways … at least until they get an explanation. What’s going on?
Better days in Venice
Let’s start with the canals. No matter what color they are, they’re the lifeblood of Venice, so any problems with them – and disappearance is definitely a big one – affect virtually everyone living in or visiting the beautiful city. Photographs taken last week (shown here and here) show gondolas resting in dry canal beds. Unfortunately, ‘dry’ doesn’t mean ‘empty’ as the pictures also reveal the garbage and debris that the waters normally hide.
A water-covered city knows its tidal calendar, so Venice was prepared for the low waters due to the Super Blue Blood Moon. This is also the third year in a row that droughts have contributed to extremely low – although not bone dry – water levels. However, experts are still mystified because the city continues to sink, which should make it prone to flooding – in Venice, that’s a good thing … or at least a better-than-no-water thing. Is the City of Canals destined to become the City of Great Places to Skateboard?
Will we ever see this again?
Meanwhile, a different problem is causing the residents of the Siberian city of Tyumen to avoid the Molchanka River because of what the media is calling … well, you can read it yourself:
“Experts say they so far cannot pinpoint the cause of what state news agency Itar-Tass called a ‘Biblical bombshell’.”
The “biblical bombshell” is a river that mysteriously and quickly turned red (more pictures here) and has not changed its hue in over a week. Tyumen is the home of many oil and gas companies, so the first inclination is to point fingers at them, not the bible. However, local officials doubted that explanation.
“Team of experts examining the area found no trace of sewage discharges. Extra water samples were taken. Laboratory results will be ready by the end of this week.”
That was on January 31st and no results have been released as of this writing, days after the “end of the week.” Meanwhile, the water isn’t moving, some residents say it’s getting redder and the Russian environmental watchdog group Rosprirodnadzor (The Federal Service for Supervision of Use of Natural Resources) isn’t making anyone feel better with comments like this:
“We have never dealt with this before so we are waiting for the results of tests.”
Hey, at least they have an environmental watchdog group.
While many people today (including news agencies) are quick to use the terms “biblical,” apocalyptic” and “end times” (like the story today about birds falling from the sky), the real problem is that our waterways and oceans are being affected constantly by humans (yes, the moon influenced the tide in Venice but humans built the city in spite of it) and watchdog groups are becoming an endangered species.
Are songs like “Watching the River Flow” and “Blue Bayou” destined for extinction too?
It’s never good news when birds – or any other animals for that matter – fall from the sky … dead or alive. Get ready for some bad news from Draper, Utah, and Rome, Italy, where hundreds of dead starlings covered the ground recently. Pollution? End times? Something worse?
The Times reports that the dead starlings began appearing the weekend of January 27th at the Porta Pia gate in the Aurelian Walls of Rome. Residents reported the ground being covered with corpses, blanketing walkways and roads with dead, and eventually flattened, birds (photos here). This is migration season, so Romans are used to seeing the sky and tree branches covered with starlings summering in the city and eating the local olives. Unfortunately, something has made life the pits for these birds this year. But what?
“We found they were in good health but suffering from the trauma and broken bones you would associate with collisions, either with each other or with cables.”
Francesca Manzia, head of a hospital run by the Italian League for the Protection of Birds (there’s an idea other cities should adopt), had no answer. Fatal bird collisions when there’s millions of them aloft can be caused by a predator, a loud noise or some other disturbance, leading to lemming-like processions of crashes into buildings, trees or each other. Is Rome no longer big enough for the starling migration? Could the birds have been stunned by an electromagnetic or other unseen forces?
If they’re looking for a different warm migration stopover, they need to scratch Draper, Utah off of the list. Located 20 miles south of Salt Lake City in the north central portion of the state, Draper is home to many Native Americans, a state prison and, on January 30th, thousands of dead starlings.
“As I was driving, these birds were just falling out of the sky. They were all on the ground right around here and on the roadway. They were just falling out of the sky like leaves.”
Resident Lacey Brown told a local news station that there were so many starlings on the ground, she stopped to help a man shovel them out of the road to avoid making a feather, bloody mess. Unfortunately, Sergeant Chad Carpenter with the Draper police, saw more carnage.
“It was just one of those freak things where the birds were just flying along, crashed into the side of a large vehicle and boom.”
Draper Animal Services helped with the cleanup and found some starlings still alive, lending credence to the theory that these birds were also startled into a mass collision.
Again, what could have startled the starlings to their deaths? The beautiful twisting formations they fly in are called murmurations and bird experts are unable to explain how millions of birds can make tight turns so close together without colliding … which makes the rare times they do collide even more mystifying. Sadly, they may have more opportunities to study the phenomena since it seems to be happening more frequently.
Starlings are highly social birds and their survival depends on the ability to fly together. If their mysterious deaths are not a sign of the end times, can we at least see them as a sign that not living and working together is a bad thing?
Recent news revealing the Pentagon’s secret UFO program has reignited the general public’s curiosity about the possibility of extraterrestrials in our skies. There has always been a blurry line between the topic of UFOs and the realms of fantasy and science fiction. Skeptical UFO historian Martin Kottmeyer has documented how virtually every detail witnesses report about alien encounters can be found in earlier science fiction stories, or in legends and mythology.
It’s also a fact that our books, TV shows, and movies have used UFO reports for inspiration, which in turn has helped spread fantastic concepts of extraterrestrial visitors. A cultural feedback loop exists between the real and unreal. Let’s take a look at a few of the most powerful examples.
The Early Days
In the 1870s, Earth’s telescopes detected dark, linear features on Mars, which were interpreted by some as canals produced by a civilization older and more advanced than our own. This inspired one of the most influential of all science fiction novels, The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells.
When Orson Welles (no relation) adapted The War of the Worlds in 1938 for CBS radio using a faux documentary style, the tale of an attack by Martian invaders was heard by thousands. Some of those listeners (but not as many as you might think) were persuaded the story was true and panicked. The reaction to the broadcast made headlines, and to capitalize on the sensation, Universal studios quickly recut their movie serial Flash Gordon’s Trip to Mars into the feature-length Mars Attacks the World. It’s kinda-sorta the first UFO movie, produced to exploit the public’s interest in extraterrestrial visitors. Like the radio play, it also preyed on the flip side of hope — fear. If our rockets were beginning to reach into space, what if someone out there had a big head start?
In June of 1947, newspapers broke the story of how aviator Kenneth Arnold had spotted a formation of unknown disc-like aircraft moving at speeds beyond those of our fastest jets. The U.S. Air Force began an investigation into the sighting, and the explosion of flying saucer reports that followed it. By late 1949, the Air Force’s investigation, later known as Project Blue Book, determined that saucers were not a secret project by the U.S. itself, the Soviets, or anyone else. They tried to shut down the saucer fever, but science fiction had greased the skids. If these UFOs were real craft, they came from somewhere else, and that somewhere must be Mars or another planet.
Saucer reports dwindled, but radio and newspapers found that covering them made for hot filler material. In 1950, two best-selling books emerged that would shape the belief in UFOs and influence the films made about them.
Retired Marine Corps Major Donald Keyhoe’s The Flying Saucers Are Real debuted, and his key ideas would become canon: UFOs are ships from outer space, the U.S. government knows it, and there’s a big cover-up. Keyhoe reached some far-out conclusions, but he relied on the word of credible sources working in the government saucer investigation. However, there was another guy with a saucer story, a far more fantastic tale, and it became the biggest one of all time when rebranded as the Roswell UFO crash.
Frank Scully was a columnist for the show biz magazine Variety, where he first introduced his story which was later expanded into a book, Behind the Flying Saucers. Scully told how scientists revealed that a saucer had crashed in the New Mexico desert, the U.S. military recovered the disc, the alien technology, and the small deceased humanoid bodies found inside, then hid and denied everything. (Scully’s tale was exposed as a hoax in 1952, when his source, the “scientists” Silas Newton and Leo GeBauer, were convicted as swindlers, but that’s another story.)
With the phenomenal success of the 1950 Keyhoe and Scully books, many people went from asking if flying saucers were real to accepting that they were. Hollywood was ready to capitalize on the saucer craze, but they needed more stories. They turned to science fiction for material.
John W. Campbell, Jr’s story “Who Goes There” from Astounding Science Fiction, August 1938, was adapted into the 1951 movie The Thing from Another World. The first change was to make the spaceship in the story into a flying saucer, although it’s only as an indistinct shape through ice except for its tail fin. The Thing bears a resemblance to the premise of Frank Scully’s saucer book, the military mission to recover a crashed flying saucer, and it also gets in a few jabs at government denials. The extraterrestrial in the movie is truly alien, a throwback to Wells’ monstrous Martians, out to survive at the cost of human life.
The Day the Earth Stood Still, also released in 1951, was loosely based on Harry Bates’ story from the October 1940 issue of Astounding Science Fiction, “Farewell to the Master.” Again the spaceship was swapped for a flying saucer, and it’s a major set piece, almost a co-star. As for the aliens, the giant Gort is as enigmatic as the ship. Klaatu seems human, benevolent, almost angelic, bringing a message of peace, love, and understanding – but carrying a stern warning that mankind will not be allowed to spread its warlike ways to the people of other planets. The Day the Earth Stood Still was not influenced by genuine saucer stories, but it became a tremendous influence on those that followed. George Adamski and his cult concocted the hoax of an angelic Klaatu-like visitor from Venus here to warn of the dangers of nuclear war, as chronicled in the 1953 book Flying Saucers Have Landed. Following Adamski’s fame, a legion of imitators dubbed “Contactees” surfaced with tales of meetings and flights with the Space Brothers. This kind of friendly visitor from the stars wasn’t good movie material until Stephen Spielberg revived the idea in the 1970s.
Invaders from Mars (April 1953) delivered the goods, an original story with a flying saucer full of aliens here for the business of abducting, controlling minds, and conquering. Due to its hasty production, it has the distinction of being the first UFO film in color, so we get to see the saucer, the green-skinned Martians, and their strange little tentacled, big-headed leader in all their glory. Invaders also depicted a number of elements that would come to be staples of later UFO tales — alien abductions and medical implants.
When The War of the Worlds finally made it to the movies, it was influenced by flying saucers as well, with the Martian war machines’ tripods eliminated, updated into sinister saucer-like aircraft.
Unidentified Flying Objects: The True Story of Flying Saucers (1956) was the first try at a docudrama. It’s historically important for being the first film to be factually based on UFO cases, including real witnesses and saucer footage. Unfortunately, in striving so hard to be realistic, it did the unbelievable – it almost made saucers seem dull. Still, the ads and posters for UFO promised something far more sensational.
In 1961, after New Hampshire couple Betty and Barney Hill observed a star-like object in the sky, they started having nightmares. Under hypnosis, an abduction story surfaced, one reminiscent of Invaders from Mars. The Hills story was portrayed in the 1975 TV movie The UFO Incident, which may have in turn inspired other abduction dreams and stories that followed.
Travis Walton’s alleged abduction near Snowflake Arizona came shortly after the broadcast of the Betty and Barney Hill TV movie. What makes Walton’s case noteworthy is that he appears to have been the first guy kicked off a flying saucer for fighting.
All the truly influential things happened in the first 20 years or so of flying saucers – both the sightings and in the movies. With rare exceptions, after 1980, films were either toying with the established memes or were just remakes, remixes, and rip-offs of what had come before.
The year 1977 for saucer buffs, at least in the cinema. George Lucas’ film Star Wars was more about reviving Flash Gordon-style fun than anything else, but it’s worth a passing mention, since it featured a Bigfoot co-piloting a flying saucer.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind was inspired by real UFO cases, but copied and pasted bits of them together, adding a mothership-sized dose of Disneyesque melodrama, with a side order of Adamski’s message of the aliens’ love from above. Real-life UFO expert Dr. J. Alien Hynek served as a consultant on the film and made a cameo appearance during the finale.
Stephen Spielberg scuttled the idea of a direct sequel to CE3K and went for another story of cuddly aliens in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, in 1982. Spielberg inspired many other friendly aliens, like those featured in Mork & Mindy, Starman, Cocoon, ALF, The Abyss, and others.
Hangar 18 (1980) can be seen as a marker in the UFO topic’s turn toward the dark side. It was (very loosely) based on Scully’s crashed aliens story and it also featured a sinister government conspiracy to cover it up. The huge advertising push for Hangar 18 helped prepare the public to swallow the retconned Roswell story that surfaced around the same time, bit it didn’t catch fire in the mainstream until September of 1989, when it featured on the NBC TV show, Unsolved Mysteries, as “Legend: Roswell Crash.”
For the Roswell conspiracy story to be true, there must be a massive cover-up, and a mythology sprang up to serve as the story’s super-villain, a secret government cabal known as MJ-12. The idea of benevolent ETs was again pushed aside, replaced with spooky tales of government treaties with aliens to allow abductions, cattle mutilations, and human-hybrid breeding programs at Area 51 and secret underground bases.
When Travis Walton’s abduction story was turned into a movie, 1993’s Fire in the Sky, Hollywood considered his 1950s-style aliens outdated. The producers insisted on a jazzed-up more horrific version of the aliens and abductions like those that became fashionable in the 1980s.
The X-Files (1993) television show came to define UFOs in the ’90s, but most viewers were unaware of the source of the stories. The alien content on the show was “ripped from the headlines,” but from tabloids and crackpot UFO magazines about those dark, dubious ’80s encounters. An early and enduring UFO conspiracy belief was that the truth about aliens would shock and panic the populace, but the public could adjust gradually to the idea as introduced through entertainment.
Independence Day (1996) incorporated a stew of lore, the Roswell incident, the government UFO cover-up, abductions, and more, with the fight against the aliens based at Area 51. Some imagined that Hollywood’s UFO movies and The X-Files were part of the acclimation program. To them, seeing an old story resurface on screen was “confirmation” that it was genuine.
Men In Black (1997) was also based on an old UFO legend via a little-known comic book. The MIB were first made famous in Gray Barker’s 1956 book, They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers, and further embellished by John Keel. Thing is, the MIB were made up by Barker and his friends to exploit the paranoia of many UFO buffs who thought that the government was operating a “Silence Group” to cover up UFO reports.
In 2008, The History Channel brought us UFO Hunters, but had far better success with Ancient Aliens. It was based on the second- and third-hand notions popularized by Erich von Däniken, that extraterrestrials were the gods of myth, and that there is abundant alien evidence in archeological remains. The success of the show served to demonstrate that the public’s interest in UFOs and aliens remains strong. However, recent incidents that make for good evidence – or good entertainment – are quite rare. They literally had to dig up the past for story material.
The UFO concepts have become so familiar, they blend in, nestled almost unnoticed into the premises of hit movies such as The Transformers or Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers series. Recently, UFOs themselves as a central topic have made a comeback, both in the news and on the entertainment screen, with several movies, documentaries and TV shows in production. You can expect AMC’s 10-episode docudrama, Blue Book, starring Aidan Gillen as J. Allen Hynek, to continue the circle on TV screens soon.
"They were just falling out of the sky like leaves.”
Sgt Chad Carpenter with the Draper City Police Department insists the incident was a freak accident.
He said: “It’s one of the rarest things I’ve ever heard of.”
Popular conspiracy YouTube Channel SecureTeam10 says the mass death of the birds was likely done by an alien attack.
In a video, the narrator of the channel says: “Last year, and especially the year before, we were having these just mass events of these birds just falling from the sky all over the world.
“Regardless of what you think, if there’s a supernatural cause – many people have said that there was some sort of cloaked object in the sky that they maybe flew into – but in many of these instances in the past, it was found that none of these birds suffered any blunt trauma.
GETTY
Some suspect it was due to a UFO attack
“They hadn’t hit anything in the sky.
“The trauma we’re talking about is different from them hitting the ground because many of the birds that landed in bushes and things like that had no trauma whatsoever.”
Sgt Carpenter moved to calm any fears that an alien invasion was imminent.
He said: “No aliens, no cloaking device.
“No poison, it was just one of those freak things where the birds were just flying along, crashed into the side of a large vehicle and boom."
DNA Results Show The Elongated Paracas Skulls Are Not Native American
DNA Results Show The Elongated Paracas Skulls Are Not Native American
“The Paracas were an incredibly complex ethnic mix of people… There are a number of different haplogroups that were found in the DNA tests of the Paracas elongated skulls and these haplogroups, which is your genetic ancestry, they don’t fit in with the history of Peru in any shape or form…”
According to a group of experts dealing with the Paracas skull phenomenon, recent DNA results have revealed that the elongated skulls of Paracas, Peru, are not native to the region.
During the 1920’s, a Peruvian archaeologist by the name Julio Tello discovered a series of tombs in Paracas Peru. The contents of the tomb left experts stumped as countless elongated skulls were recovered from the tombs. Since then, more elongated skulls have been found in the region, raising numerous questions about these mysterious people.
For more than five years have experts like Brien Foerster tried solving the mystery behind the elongated skulls. While much progress has been made in understanding them, the journey has been very difficult.
The analysis of this elongated skull, which has reddish hair, shows that it has a mitochondrial haplogroup U2e, which may signify it originated somewhere in the Caucasus… far from Paracas.
After countless studies and research, we have begun finding out more about these mystery skulls. Some DNA analysis has shown that the elongation present on the Paracas skulls was not the result of artificial cranial deformation but by genetics. Some of the Paracas Skulls have a cranial volume which is up to 25% larger and 60% percent heavier than conventional human skulls. While ‘head binding’ can alter the shape of the skull, it cannot alter its volume.
At the end of last week, a Symposium was held in Los Angeles where experts announced new results of testing performed on the elongated Skulls.
The main speakers of the event were L.A. Marzulli and Brien Foerster.
As reported by Megalith Marvels, Foerster, author of several books on the subject and a recognized expert of the Paracas Skulls, published the following information on the aforementioned DNA results.
“The DNA results actually were incredibly complicated… It’s going to take me some time to actually figure out what the results mean. What it does show for sure is that the Paracas elongated skull people were not 100% Native American. They were a mix or even you could say, in some ways, a hybrid of different people.”
More question than answers…
Foerster explains that “Their blood types are very complicated as well, they should be blood type “O” if they’re 100% Native American and that’s not the case. We are likely looking at a sub-species of humanity as regards to the Paracas… Seems to be a lot of DNA evidence from extreme eastern Europe and extreme western Asia. More specifically I’m talking about the area in between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea where ancient elongated skull people lived I think about 3000 years ago.”
'UFO and alien' sightings revealed by Cambridgeshire Police

Sightings of aliens and UFOs have been reported to police in Cambridgeshire six times in two years, new figures show.
During a trip to the desert in Nevada, a tourist snapped multiple photographs of a landscape using a cell phone. The tourist had a great day admiring the beautiful scenery. Nothing strange occurred that day and the tourist returned home.
After reviewing photographs taken from that trip to the desert, the tourist realized there was a strange purple object seen in the background of one image. Only 3 photographs were taken that day in the location where the images were taken.
We have included two of three images to protect the case. The third image is a copy of the picture containing the purple object, taken from the same exact location, but no object can be seen.
Analysis From A Third Party
UFO Seekers asked Scott Brando from ufoofinterest.org to analyze the photograph. The website ufoofinterest.org is dedicated to debunking UFO hoaxes and exposing hoax content.
Scott gave this response to the image even though no raw file was available from the individual who submitted the images. He said the following:
I can say it could be an insect taken with blurfo effect… it is most likely a bug/insect flying near camera lens (it is out of focus).
Scott also provided a link to show what he is describing, in more detail. (https://t.co/Uzq9sXlZOs)
UFO Seekers Analysis
The original image is only 640x427 pixels. It was taken with a cell phone. No raw version of the image is available.
The image does show some lens flare anomalies separate from the purple object. The issue with the purple object is the lack of transparency common in lens flare anomalies. The color of the object does not seem to be normal of a lens flare, although not impossible for a lens flare to create.
If it was an object, it was something thrown in the air then photographed, making the color purple more plausible.
Due to the lack of better image quality, we can not provide an explanation. During our questioning the witness testified that no objects were in the air, nothing was seen, nothing was heard.
The Peterson Case is bound to be very creepy.QUARTER CIRCLE GAMES
We have our fair share of zombies in the gaming sphere already, so it's good to see that we're finally adding some newer titles that add aliens into the mix. Specifically, an upcoming game from English developer Quarter Circle Games explores Roswell incident that UFO enthusiasts have researched for years. The title, called The Peterson Case, takes players to the 1947 Roswell crash and the weirdness that surrounded it.
The self-professed horror game will have players follows Detective Franklin Reinhardt as he investigates a deserted house whose residents have gone missing under mysterious circumstances. Set in 1947 in a remote area near the infamous Roswell site, the game will invite you to investigate the house as well as the myriad clues surrounding the family’s disappearance. The Peterson Case slowly turns into an investigation involving none other than aliens. Franklin must race to learn the truth “before it's too late,” whatever that means.
The announcement trailer does a decent job of setting the stage for what could be a pretty unique game, one of the most recent titles to explore the Roswell incident or aliens in the way only adventure games can. There haven’t been many games made specifically about Roswell or the theories about what actually happened there, at least not like this one, so it’ll be interesting to see how the company approaches the subject.
In the three-minute clip, we're treated to some pretty decadent visuals that bring to mind the excellent P.T., especially with how realistic the room and door look. There's also some sort of weird tentacle-like presence that's overtaking the house that our protagonist is exploring. A woman is standing in the hall, something obviously very wrong with her—and then the scene changes. You're taken through an opulent building, and then what looks to be the outside of a military camp, complete with guards. It's all unsettlingly realistic, and if this is indicative of the final quality of the horror game, it should make fans pretty happy, indeed.
The Peterson Case doesn’t have a release date just yet, but it’s set to debut on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
It’s the sight that baffled South American locals and sparked talk of an extraterrestrial crash-landing onto earth.
Peru locals stunned by 'UFO' fireball
VIDEO The object reported crash landed in South eastern Peru
Now footage has emerged of a mysterious fireball shooting through the sky in Peru, before disappearing beyond the horizon.
Captured in the early hours of the evening, speculation intensified over a possible UFO as insiders questioned the trajectory of the falling object.
Peru locals were stunned to see a mysterious sight in the sky.

Officials have attempted to quash alien talk, claiming it’s space debris instead.
“According to the first analysis, it would be a fuel tank of a disused satellite,” Commander Pedro Palza of the Peruvian Air Force said in a statement.
“We are talking about the part of a satellite that stopped operating. Commonly it is known as space junk.”
Just last month, an eerie site in Argentina has UFO enthusiasts claiming they found proof of aliens on earth, with the sight leaving even scientists baffled.
Officials have tried to downplay the incident, claiming it's space junk.

The strange location rotates on its own axis, something scientists have as of yet not been able to explain.
Scott C. Waring, from website UFO Sighting Daily, however said the island could actually be a hidden entrance to a secret “alien base”.

I-Team: Man who headed up secret government UFO study speaks out
I-Team: Man who headed up secret government UFO study speaks out
By: George Knapp
LAS VEGAS - A secret Pentagon program to study unknown aerial objects -- otherwise known as UFOs -- may not be finished after all.
The civilian contractor for the program was Bigelow Aerospace, based in Las Vegas. Their contract ended in 2012, but the man who managed the program inside the Pentagon thinks it is still operating.
His name is Luis Elizondo, and most of us first heard his name last October when he stood on a stage with rock star Tom DeLonge and other government insiders.
Elizondo said he had spent 10 years as the head of a secret study of unidentified aerial objects. He also was instrumental in the release of official UFO videos recorded by military pilots.
The I-Team sat down with him earlier this week to ask, among other things, why the Pentagon considered UFOs to be a potential threat.
"Is it a threat? And if it's a threat, is it the Russians or Chinese? These are the normal questions, whether dealing with terrorism or weapons of mass destruction or you'd ask for any national security issue de jour, and yet here we are with something that....."
Reporter George Knapp: "Doesn't fit."
Luis Elizondo: "That doesn't fit, doesn't fit."
Elizondo has spent most of his adult life protecting his country, on active duty in combat hotspots, handling terrorists at Guantanamo, and at the Pentagon, where he was the point man for AATIP, the Advanced Aerial Threat Identification Program. That program collected and analyzed information about encounters between the U.S. military and spectacular but unknown technology, what some would call UFOs.
"My job in the government at the time with AATIP was two-fold, to determine what it was and how it worked, not really focusing on who was behind the steering wheel or whatever. If we can answer the first two things, everything else we will be able to explain later," Elizondo said.
He says that even his immediate supervisor in the Pentagon was unaware of the program. Only a small list of people scattered in different branches and agencies had a need to know. The word threat is built into the name of AATIP, and even though the unidentified craft being reported by pilots and others didn't launch an Independence Day type attack on humanity or zap major cities with death rays, the defense department had to consider the possibilities.
The so-called Tic Tac UFO, for instance, was detected over several days in 2004 by personnel with the U.S.S. Nimitz battle group off the coast of San Diego. It didn't attack, but it demonstrated vast superiority over America's most advanced defense systems.
"I think if you were to take this issue that we've seen and we have something coming into our air space that we control that has a Russian star on the tail or a North Korean tail number, I think people would have a much different reaction and response because there's something we can identify and say, this is in our air space and shouldn't be here," Elizondo said. "You DOD, you CIA, you DHS, have the responsibility of protecting us, how did this happen? And yet, here we have the same scenario but there are no flags or numbers on the tail. In fact, there may not even be a tail on some of these things, and yet it's crickets. Nobody wants to have that conversation."
In 2007, a small group of senators led by Nevada's Harry Reid, initiated a program to change the culture surrounding UFO reports. Reid was motivated, in part, because of classified reports he'd read about UFO encounters over U.S. nuclear bases in which atomic weapons were somehow disabled.
"The communications in the missile defense installation was shut down. It didn't happen once. It happened more than once," former Senator Harry Reid said. "We have things in ships at sea, things in the water. What is that?"
Reid says he was also concerned that if adversaries like Russia or China could master the technology displayed by the Tic Tac or other UFOs, the U.S. military would be at a great disadvantage. Elizondo agrees.
"I think it is ridiculous to presume that other nations that are very sophisticated, very capable, aren't looking at this as well. I cannot go into detail about why I think that, but I am very confident they are aware," Elizondo said.
The program set up by the Pentagon to assist AATIP was housed at Bigelow Aerospace in southern Nevada. The contract ended in 2012, but Elizondo believes some version of the study is ongoing. Elizondo thinks it makes sense to study Tic Tacs and other UFOs and compares it to how you might react if someone pierced your home security system.
"The first thing you do, you come down your stairs as you look in your living room, you see muddy boot prints in your living room on the carpet that weren't there the night before. Nothing has been taken out of your house, nothing has been disturbed, no one has been harmed and yet every night, despite you locking the front door, closing the windows and turning on the alarm, there are muddy boot prints that keep showing up on your carpet. now, is that a threat?"
So, what about those Pentagon videos? Are they legit? And when will we get to see more of them released?
Tonight at 11 p.m., Luis Elizondo will tell us more about those dramatic encounters, why he left the pentagon, and what his new job will be, working with other former insiders at something called To The Stars Academy.
Out of all the anomalous things falling out of the skies lately, one of the most terrifying is perhaps the unexplained giant chunks of ice which have been plummeting to the ground around the world. A pair of the mysterious ice balls fell in California in December and damaged the roofs of two homes, while another one fell in Florida in June 2017 out of a completely cloudless sky. The most recent case of a so-called “megacryometeor” happened in Alliston, Ontario when a six-pound (2.7 kg) ball of ice fell just feet from a home. Luckily nobody was hurt, but the case adds to the growing mystery of these anomalous ice balls which seem to be occurring with increasing frequency lately.
A Spanish megacryometeor from 2007.
“I had just stepped out the door. I had my towel, my phone to plug it into the hot tub and walking along here I heard this loud crash” says Alliston’s Kate Bearse whose home avoided certain catastrophe last week. “How lucky are we that it fell directly between two houses and not on the sidewalk where the kids were out playing,” she told local news. After hearing the noise, Kate and husband George found a 17-inch (45 centimeter) chunk of ice lying in a shallow dent in the ground. The Bearses called Environment Canada, but the agency is stumped. Environment Canada senior meteorologist David Phillips told CTV Barrie he’s heard of similar megacryometeors, adding “they’re very rare, but they’re always mystifying.”
George Bearse shows off the chunk of ice which would have meant certain death for him or his family had they been in its path.
(Beatrice Vaisman/ CTV Barrie)
A similar case a few months ago in Scotland when a piece of ice large enough to leave a sizeable crater fell mere yards away from a home with children. While the go-to explanation is that they must have fallen from aircraft overhead, many cases happen in locations far from flight paths, not to mention that accounts of similar so-called megacryometeors predate the invention of aircraft. Transport Canada is looking into this case. Aside from the aircraft theory, it is believed megacryometeors could be some sort of rare meteorological event which occurs under unique and specific atmospheric conditions, but data is scarce due to the rarity and unpredictability of their events and the fact that most samples melt before they can be collected.
These chunks of ice share some features with hailstones, but are formed under distinctly atmospheric conditions from those associated with causing hailstorms.
Could these megacryometeors be merely yet another symptom of the planet’s changing climate, or might there be increased aircraft activity overhead we don’t know about? Could these be related to the unexplained booms being heard around the world with terrifying regularity lately? Perhaps they’re simply natural weather phenomenon we’re only becoming aware of thanks to the information-sharing capabilities of the internet. Or maybe they’re just big hailstones. Until more study can be done, these deadly ice missiles remain a mystery.
From now on, when you Google “This is why we can’t have nice things,” a copy of this story should come up first. On January 27th, 2018, a truck driver ignored numerous warning signs and drove his semi-trailer over three of the 2,000-year-old geoglyphs better known to the world as the Nazca lines. Reports say that the truck made “deep scars” in the ground, causing severe and irreparable damage to the lines. What could have possessed him to do this?
From now on, when you Google “cheap truck drivers,” a copy of this story should come up first. According to Clarin, Jainer Jesús Flores Vigo claimed he was lost but actually drove off the Pan American highway at kilometer 424 to avoid paying a toll. The Peruvian Culture Ministry reported that the damaged area measured 50 by 100 meters ( (104 by 328 feet) and covered parts of three geoglyphs.
Well, at least they caught the driver. Knowing how much Peruvians love their Nazca lines, the court sought to throw more than a book at this guy — the Culture Ministry demanded nine months of preventive detention and a $1,550 fine while the investigation continued. He probably got it, right?
From now on, when you Google “what the hell is wrong with our courts,” a copy of this story should come up first. According to Peru21, a judge ruled that there was insufficient evidence to prove that the driver acted with intent and he was released. An appeal is pending.
Is there any good news? That depends on your definition of “good.” Let’s put it this way, if you Google “good news,” this story won’t come up for a few thousand pages. The damage was done to three straight lines. While they can never be returned to their original state, at least the driver didn’t do donuts over the rest of the 450 square kilometers of figures. However, if you believe that the lines were made by aliens as part of an elaborate map and landing strip, you may want to go along the border of the area and scratch a “We’re really sorry about this” message in giant letters in the dirt … along with some birds and lizards.
In the meantime, the Culture Ministry plans to beef up security around the lines and use drones for nighttime surveillance. Will it help? An archeologist for the lines told the media that incidents like this occur “daily” and the only reason this one got publicity is that someone was there to take pictures and post them on social media. Peruvians were left terrified after villagers found three mysterious objects that fell from the sky engulfed in flames.
Residents in the Larancahuani community, in the Andean region of Puno, Peru, feared a meteorite impact after the spheres crashed to the ground on January 27.
Earlier in the day, social media lit up as spectacular pictures and footage of a huge ball of fire soaring through the sky was seen over the cities of Tingo Maria and Pucallpa – which are some 115 miles from each other.

But on Tuesday, the Peruvian Air Force said the incident may have been the re-entry of the SL-23 rocket – and the three objects were fuel tanks from a satellite.
Peruvians had thought the fireball, also seen in the Brazilian state of Acre, was a meteorite falling to Earth.
Romulo Barros, the chief of the fire service in the Brazilian municipality of Cruzeiro do Sul, said that the local Navigation Centre had said the object was probably a meteorite.
He added that he believed the object had landed in the border region between the Acre and Peru.

Barros confirmed there had been no international flights in the airspace at the time of the incident.
However, Meteorologist Alejandro Fonesca, from the Universidade Federal do Acre, stated that no meteorites had been predicted to fall in the area.
He suggested the ball was more likely made up of space debris, a term used to describe defunct man-made objects, such as old satellites, that are left in space.
'When the debris enters the atmosphere it comes under intense friction and this causes it to set on fire. That is what could have happened,' he said.
