Over the next several weeks, I’ll be conducting interviews with leading UFO researchers from countries around the world in an effort to paint a picture of global UFOlogy today.
Paul Stonehill was born in Kiev, USSR, in 1959 and emigrated to the U.S. in 1972. In his youth, Paul helped smuggle people out from behind the iron curtain, aided dissidents, and smuggled banned literature into the USSR. He graduated from California State University with a BA in Political Science and wrote a thesis on the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Paul has worked as journalist covering warfare as well as freelancing on stories about anomalous phenomena. He created the Russian Ufology Research Center in 1991.
Paul Stonehill.
After the fall of Communism, his articles were published throughout Russia and the Ukraine. Since 1989, Paul has consulted for American television and motion picture production companies, as well as corporate entities.
RG: Who have been the defining figures in Russian UFOlogy over the past 70 years (for better or for worse), and why?
PS: Alexander Kazantsev, the former military engineer, administrator, and later sci-fi writer in the USSR. He was never persecuted or purged, even though he participated in the New York Expo in 1939. He came up with the hypothesis that the Tunguska Event was actually an E.T. spaceship, and he helped the early efforts of Soviet civilian UFOlogists propel their ideas to the Soviet public in a totalitarian state.
Alexander Kazantsev.
Also, Felix Zigel, Soviet scientist and active UFO researcher and a target of attention of the KGB and CIA. Zigel and his colleagues studied UFOs in the 1960s-1980s in the face of great adversity—in spite of informants, lack of funds and belittlement from the official media and the Communist Party ideologues; in spite of the books of American debunkers eagerly published in the USSR; in spite of inability to respond to arrogant and sly opponents who published articles against their efforts in the Soviet newspapers; in spite of the inability to spread their ideas through public lectures when available facilities would be shut and access denied.
Also worthy of mention are: Mikhail Gershtein, the tireless author and researcher in Russia—a scientist, journalist, and collector of UFO lore of his country; Vadim Chernobrov of the KOSMOPOISK—scientist, author, philosopher who passed away in 2017; and Vladimir Ajaja, who has contributed greatly to his nation’s UFO-and USO-research, despite some problems with the ideologues. Also, Kolchin, Villinbakhov, Petukhov, Smirnov, Dvuzhilni, Arkhipov, Popovich, as well as a number of others, most of whom have passed away but who helped shape Soviet/Russian/Ukrainian Ufology.
RG: What do you consider to be the most compelling Russian UFO incident on record, and why?
PS: There are two: the 1908 Tunguska Event, and 1986 Dalnegorsk Crash. The 1908 event was possibly an intercept of an alien/ET spaceship by an Earth-based projectile or missile. Despite the research that has been going on for 110 years—some of it quite secretive and mysterious—we know little about the actual event. But its impact at the time was quite tremendous.
Aftermath of the Tunguska event. Photograph from Kulik’s 1929 expedition taken near the Hushmo River.
The 1986 event was the destruction of a UFO—most likely self-destruction—in a remote (and off-limits to foreigners) mining town in the Soviet Far East. The debris left behind is considered by a number of scientists to be something that our current technology is unable to manufacture. Others disagree and consider the object to have been a foreign spy apparatus, but the Soviet government remained uncharacteristically quiet about the “intruder.” The event took place one day after the Challenger Disaster. What is the connection? Why were the Chinese ufologists (and some Korean) so very interested in the debris? Why did a whole school or group of UFOs visit the area in 1987, one year after the crash? Why are there more interesting UFO sightings in the Russian Far East? All this is covered in the books co-authored by Philip Mantle and myself. There are some other cases I consider to be important, despite the lack of more information and continuous secrecy: the Monchegorsk Object of 1987; the Dodin observation and sinister UFO of 1953; and the SETKA (top secret Soviet academic-military UFO research program) cases.
RG: What is the Russian government’s official stance on UFOs? When was the last time it issued a statement on the subject?
PS: The current government does not discuss them. But of course they are engaged in their own research—more sophisticated, more enhanced, quiet, and comprehensive. And it is done in cooperation with the United States and the People’s Republic of China. As to official statements on the subject, Russia’s leaders like to make wry jokes about “aliens.” They are a very sarcastic bunch, full of humor.
The Russian Presidential building.
RG: Does the Russian Ministry of National Defence have an official UFO investigations unit?
PS: Of course they do—more than one, and under inconspicuous names, too. They also have very sophisticated space forces. I discuss their current developments and some old but persistent secrets in my videos.
RG: Has the Russian government shown more or less transparency on the UFO subject than the US government?
PS: About the same. The government just does not discuss UFOs. It’s different than under the Soviets when UFOs were often explained as bourgeois inventions. The current government is rebuilding Russia’s military might. As such, they encounter UFOs and USOs in their exploratory quests, and, of course, in the testing of advanced weaponry, missiles, and submarines; in the development of the Arctic; and in the oceanic expeditions. But the Russian military are silent too. Some news leak out. We check our sources daily. There are a lot of interesting developments—sightings, encounters in the Russian Federation, in Central Asia and China.
RG: Does Russia have a national UFO investigations organization, today, and how many smaller Russian UFO groups are you aware of?
PS: KOSMOPOISK was very active under Vadim Chernobrov. Alas, he passed away in 2017. They are still active all over Russia and beyond. Mikhail Gerstein is very active and knowledgeable. Konstantin Khazanov is a skeptical and insightful Russian researcher. Igor Kalityuk Artyom Bilik in Ukraine. Sergey Yefimov in Central Asia. Some old UFO researchers, from the Soviet times, like Vladimir Ajaja, are still alive.
RG: What are the most active regions of Russia for UFO sighting reports (hotspots)?
PS: Wherever the secret, new, powerful missiles are tested. They are often mistaken for UFOs. But, in my research, I would say the Russian Arctic, the Russian Far East, including the Kurils; Siberia; North-West Russia; and the magnificent, ever mysterious, Urals.
Siberia, Russia.
RG: Have you personally had any UFO sightings?
PS: Yes. 1990, Northridge, Southern California—a fiery sphere in the sky.
RG: How long have you been involved in the UFO subject; roughly how many cases have you personally investigated; and what conclusions, if any, have you drawn about the underlying nature of UFO phenomena?
PS: I have been involved since my early youth, in Kiev (Kyiv) USSR. Since then, I have investigated a number of Russian/Soviet cases, and you can find them in our books. I have particular interest in USOs; “Russian” and Chinese “ancient aliens” or paleocontact; as well as international research, based on the hypotheses of Russian/Soviet scientists and thinkers. I visited Southern Africa in the 1980s and Mexico’s Yucatan several times. I explored ideas and hints found in books of Yefremov, Gorbovsky, others. But, also, as an American, and one who grew up in the tumultuous and fascinating Los Angeles, I have researched the mysterious tunnels and ancient civilizations in the area; local paranormal lore; and also some areas in the Pacific Northwest (i.e. Mount Shasta, 40 years ago, based on findings and publications of the Russian Australian writer and researcher, Andrew Tomas).
My conclusions are that we are dealing with an international phenomenon when it comes to USOs and UFOs, and that governments (major world and regional powers) know the issues and work together, albeit in almost complete secrecy, to deal with the phenomenon. As such, the areas of key international research and cooperation are: the Marianas Trench; Antarctica; the Arctic; and some other sites in our oceans. But China, Russia, and United States also have their own peculiar paranormal phenomena, strategic interests, and goals.
Depiction of a USO.
RG: How can Russian UFOlogy better itself?
PS: Russian UFOlogy would better itself through an influx of enthusiastic, energetic people. Much like those in the Soviet period, who had to overcome the ideological obstacles from the Soviet government and Communist ideologues—lack of funds and equipment, extreme secrecy and betrayals—and yet persisted in trying to find out what UFOs really are. But life is different now, and our perceptions and ability to record information is much different than 50 years ago. But the secrecy remains, albeit more sophisticated. And now there are tabloids, the Internet, and many other developments that would have been considered science-fiction. The debunkers, though, have remained, and are as unpleasant as before.
I believe there should be more international cooperation among ufologists. I have done as much as possible to generate such cooperation. OMNI Magazine had an article about my efforts in its October 1993 issue, and I continue to enhance such cooperation. I discussed Russian/Eurasian UFO and USO cases in Brazil and Hong Kong, and in a number of U.S. conferences. We all see the same mysterious unidentified flying and submersible objects. We (civilian researchers) need to start comparing data and information, and make necessary conclusions. And that is what I have been doing. It’s not easy; I have no sponsors, and have to fund my own work, but I persist.

'Third Phase of Moon', a popular conspiracy theory channel run by the Blake and Brett cousins has recently uploaded a strange video that shows a mysteriousUFO near Elon Musk led SpaceX Dragon spacecraft which was en route the International Space Station (ISS).
In the recently released video, a large triangular object was seen flying past the SpaceX spacecraft at a mind-blowing speed. The conspiracy theorists also argued that the live feed was interrupted soon after the object was spotted.
After uploading the video, the Blake and Brett cousins speculated that the object could be TR-3B, an alleged secretive military vessel developed by the US Air Force using anti-gravity technology.
"Could this be the infamous TR-3B up in space visiting up close? This is really a stunning footage. This thing is huge. Please notice the portals of the UFO underneath. It really matches the characteristics of TR-3B," said the conspiracy theorists in the video.
Conspiracy theorists also ruled out the possibility of this object being a reflection from the ISS, as the object even moved behind SpaceX Dragon's solar panel.
As the video went viral, viewers of the Third Phase of Moon alleged that Elon Musk and NASA are intentionally covering up some sinister activities which are happening in space for unknown motives.
Some other viewers argued that these UFO sightings are an irrefutable proof of alien existence. As per these people, friendly aliens used to visit astronauts at the International Space Station, and they even believe that extraterrestrials are now gearing up for a disclosure.
This is not the first time that UFOs similar to the alleged TR-3B in appearance are getting caught in the hawk eyes of conspiracy theorists. A few days ago, Tyler Glockner, a popular UFO researcher who runs the YouTube channel 'Secureteam10' released a footage that shows a black triangle hovering in the skies of Pennsylvania.
On May 30, 2018, at 21:00, an automobilist was driving on highway 24 in the evening. Suddenly, he noticed a bright disk-shaped UFO…
Witness report:
“I was driving home one evening heading west on hw 24 near lake george, colorado. the time was approximately 9:00 pm. i noticed a bright, disk-shaped object hovering in the sky above some clouds in the distance. i observed the object for about 10 minutes while driving. the object remained stationary above the clouds and was approximately 1 mile west of my vehicle. i then pulled to the side of the road and got out of my car to observe the craft. as soon as i was outside of my car and observing the craft, it began to flash its lights erratically and seemingly change shape. i observed the craft for about 5 minutes standing on the side of the road by my car. i snapped a few pictures and took a short video. the object continued to hover stationary while flashing its lights rapidly. for some reason, i felt uneasy in the presence of the craft and decided to get back in my car and continue heading west to hartsel (where i lived at the time). as i continued west the object remained stationary (however the lights were constant and not erratically flashing as they were when i was on the side of the road outside of my car)and eventually i lost sight of the craft once i was on the other side of the clouds. the experience was quite remarkable and yet disturbing as well. i am not exactly sure what i saw that evening, but i am convinced that it was something very strange and likely not of this world. earlier that day i had a discussion with my co-worker daniel. he told of some ufo experiences that he had earlier in his life. i told dan that i had never seen a ufo before or experienced a sighting of any kind. interestingly enough, that very evening i encountered a ufo.”
STEALTH BOMBER? A strange object is spotted flying over Omaha
(Pic: YOUTUBE/STARFORCE)
Why are extraterrestrials here? It’s the most common question I get asked during media interviews, at UFO conferences, and from just everyday people who know I write about the subject.
The answer isn’t easy because Earth humans don’t have a clue regarding the extraterrestrials’ interests. In our own culture we all have different motivations, be it fame, fortune, family life and other influences. We’re certainly not all the same in terms of our needs, desires and pursuits.
Cultural aspects play a big part in our interests and outlook. I’ve met people who have told me they’ve never seen Star Trek or Star Wars. I’ve also known others who have never read Harry Potterbooks or seen the movie adaptations. Just these few dissimilarities alone define a vast difference in western cultural perspective.
So when it comes to extraterrestrials, too many people try to interpret them from a specific human cultural viewpoint.
Why are extraterrestrials here? I tend to think humans are interesting to watch and study. I suppose that might be the extraterrestrial xenoanthropologist’s viewpoint.
If you are a follower of the Ancient Astronaut theory, there seems to be a huge preponderance of evidence to suggest that extraterrestrials have been visiting during human evolution. They seem to have been teaching our ancient forbearers’ arts and sciences, as well as nudging us as a species toward technologically being capable of leaving this planet in the far future.
Then there’s what I call the extraterrestrial protector and nanny caretaker aspect. On the morning of April 14, 1561, the citizenry of the German city of Nuremberg awoke to a massive aerial battle going on in the skies over the city. It happened again five years later in Basel, Switzerland, on July 27 and 28 and Aug. 7, 1566. Was this a clash between an off-world aggressor species and another caretaker species?
Of course, Nuremberg and Basel were long ago, so how about something a bit more modern? In July and August 1945 the United States detonated three nuclear weapons: one in the New Mexico desert, followed by nuclear attacks on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Shortly afterward, strange crafts in our world’s skies became a major topic of discussion.
In June and July 1947, there was a massive wave of “flying saucer-type” craft reported from 39 states via the wire services of the day. There was an exhaustive study in the 1960s by NICAP (National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena) author Ted Bloecher in his book Report on the UFO Wave of 1947.
Did our nanny off-world caretakers realize that our war was like primitive species playing with a box of nuclear matches? Perhaps this set off concerns with the nanny ET caretakers.
Evidence of this is well documented in Robert Hastings’ book UFOs and Nukes. Hastings interviewed more than 80 former Air Force missile officers; he heard accounts that during the Cold War unknown craft hovered over and disabled nuclear missiles and their control facilities at various times during the mid- to late-1960s. But that was 50 years ago, so what are our nanny ET caretakers concerned about these days?
In February 2018 I interviewed intelligence officer Luis Elizondo, the former director of the top-secret Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). He told me that the “UFOs seem to be interested in our most advanced military technology.”
Another answer seems to come from two sources. First, author Thomas Conwell, who has a series of THEY Are Here books, has spent several years studying the cluster patterns of certain types of UFOs, He has noted a trend where the nanny ET caretakers seem acutely interested in our polluted areas, strip mining and waste areas.
Second, studies of abductees and experiancers seem to indicate that the nanny ET caretakers keep telling these humans a common message: “Take care of your planet!”
So why are extraterrestrials here? I think the best answer is to protect the Earth’s human species from aggressor off-world species who would subjugate us or destroy us. The other answer seems to be to protect and guide humans from destroying itself and this lovely blue planet we live on.

In 1989, a man by the name of Bob Lazar's story about working on UFOs at a secret government facility in the desert sparked decades of Area 51 fan fare. Now Lazar is telling his story in full in the new documentary, 'Bob Lazar: Area 51 and Flying Saucers.' The film's director Jeremy Kenyon Lockyer Corbell tells Cheddar what first drew him to Lazar's story.

KI UFO: A cropped and zoomed-in version of Andrew Isaacson's UFO photograph taken at Cape Willoughby Lighthouse on Kangaroo Island.
International visitor Andrew Isaacson inadvertently captured an unidentified flying object while visiting Cape Willoughby Lighthouse on Kangaroo Island.
He took the photograph of the UFO at 4.25pm on Wednesday, December 5 in perfectly clear conditions.
Mr Isaacson now wants to know if anyone else saw anything else unexplained flying around the Dudley Peninsula or Kangaroo Island in the past few weeks.
“Just when I stopped taking photos and moved the camera down, I saw something out of the corner of my eye,” he said. “Whatever it was moved silently and exceptionally quickly.”
He didn’t realise he had captured the object on his camera until he got back to his accommodation and started downloading and going through his photos from the day.
His only thought was that it could have been some kind of unmanned drone, as it did not move like a plane or helicopter.
He said it appeared to be about a “football field” distance off the shoreline below the lighthouse.
“I’d be interested to know if anyone else reported a sighting that day,” he said.
Mr Isaacson was originally from Sydney but now lives and works as an interior designer in Berlin, Germany.
He was on Kangaroo Island with his mother who was celebrating her 90th birthday and were staying with friends at the Seaview Lodge in Penneshaw.

Here are some of our reader comments posted on The Islander Facebook after our previous UFO coverage:
A friend of mine tagged me in article in the National Geographic. I live on the Dudley peninsula not far from antechamber bay, around November last year myself a friend and my 7-year-old son all saw one night what we first thought was just a satellite. But then it became brighter also changing colours from white blue to green and erratically changing direction several times before speeding off and out of sight. – Leonard Deacon
Years ago, driving home- Nth coast road onto Pratt’s Rd, I saw a light in the sky to the west, like a star, but four times as big, and too high to be a house light. I pulled over and watched it for a while, thinking maybe it was a plane coming directly toward me, but it didn’t move. Eventually I went home, but when curiosity got to me I went back out to check it out again, but it was gone. I’ll never know what it was, but it was certainly unusual. – Liz Fogg
There was one time when i was about 10 it was above the hill and shot to ironstone point and back .we watched it for about 2 minutes then it vanished. Others saw it too. About 1975. Never forgotten it . A huge bright light. – Dallys Griffiths
I used to see it quite often at certain times of the year. I think it was a star perhaps Venus low on the horizon to the west over Middle River. – Carol Houston
I had an experience years ago coming back from Kingscote to American River, I was watching a weird light then it disappeared then a minute later this bright light came flat out behind me then shot off was very strange indeed. – Nikki Redman
I also remember Jane Bowering saying in the late 90's she had an encounter on platform highway one night. I don't think Jane is the kind of person to tell lies either. – Daniel Glasson
Yep, and no one believed me, lol. Saw it in Kingscote. Can’t explain it, wasn’t a plane or anything else. – Simone Yvette Halloran
Those are Chinese spy planes. – Anna Mae Junio
Those bloody crossroads at Destree!! – Natasha Jane Kearslake
Extremely rare audio has emerged online that is believed to be of an interview with the only adult known to have spoken out about an infamous 1966 mass UFO sighting in Melbourne.
On April 6, 1966 over 300 students and some staff reportedly witnessed a UFO flying silently in the sky before disappearing behind some nearby trees.
Andrew Greenwood was a teacher at Westall High School when the object was spotted and is one of the only adults to have spoken about his experience.
It has been 52 years since the alleged sighting but there are very few eyewitness details that have emerged in that time.
Though rare audio, believed to be of an interview between Mr Greenwood and American physicist, Dr James E McDonald, may shed some light on what really happened.
The sighting occurred at Westall High School in 1966.
Source:Herald Sun
The audio was recently published by the YouTube channel QUFOSR and claims to be a “huge piece of evidence for the case”.
A link to the audio was sent to news.com.au by the owner of the channel, who believes it may be the first time the interview has been posted online.
A recording of Mr McDonald describing the interview has been posted online before but audio of the actual interview is very rare.
Though news.com.au cannot verify the claims it is Mr McDonald and Mr Greenwood speaking on the tape, it is still brings an interesting perspective on the baffling case.
At the beginning of the interview Mr Greenwood told Mr McDonald that he initially brushed off the girl that ran into his classroom claiming there was a UFO outside.
However, at recess time, he thought he might as well go have a look outside, purely out of curiosity, it was then that he saw about 300 students and a few teachers all gathered on the oval.
“I observed the object everyone was looking at. It was grey against a blue grey sky so I didn’t see it immediately,” Mr Greenwood said.
“The only thing I’ve got to compare it against is some smaller sized cessna aircraft and it was approximately two thirds the length of one of those.”
He said it was hard to make out the exact shape but the best way he could describe it was a big plate with a bulge in the middle.
According to Mr Greenwood, the object moved in a very strange way and was a lot faster than any other aircraft he had ever seen.
“It did hover at times, it seemed to be able to accelerate and disappear out of sight and then someone would see it over in another part of the sky,” he said.
“It moved a considerable distance away very rapidly and then moved back again.”
At one point the object moved towards the crowd, but it moved in such a way that it was impossible to know it was moving until it was right in front of them.
“It came towards us, not that we could see it actually coming towards us, but we could see that it was closer now than it was before. It would go up and down. It could move slowly, but generally it seemed to hover or move really fast,” he said.
The sudden appearance of a light plane made the encounter even more bizarre, with Mr Greenwood noting the UFO seemed to be playing some sort of game with the planes.
“[The plane] approached it and then tried to move around it and [the UFO] moved over to another part of the sky very rapidly. The plane followed it over and it moved back again,” he said.
The sighting sparked a lot of speculation by the local paper.
Picture: QUFOSR/YouTubeSource:YouTube
“It seemed to be playing cat and mouse with the plane.”
More planes started to arrive and by the end Mr Greenwood said there were about five planes in the sky with the object.
According to the teacher the UFO was in the sky for about 25 minutes from when it was first noticed and then suddenly it just disappeared.
“It just vanished. It did one of its accelerations and then no one could pick it up again. It was gone,” Mr Greenwood said.
The incident understandably attracted a lot of attention from the local media, with The Dandenong Journal covering the event in great detail and running two front page stories on it.
The Age also ran a small article about the sighting, writing that the unidentified object may have been a weather balloon.
Even though it is the largest mass sighting in Australia to date, hardly any other newspapers made mention of the event, apart from The Sun and The Herald running a few cartoons poking fun at the claim.
There were no pictures of the Westall UFO but this is a photograph of another sighting that was captured just a year before. The exact location of the photo is unknown.
Source:News Corp Australia
At the time, there were a lot of claims that the government was trying to get people to stop talking about the sighting, along with several; witnesses saying sharply dressed men in black suits visited them and warned them from speaking about the incident.
Despite over 300 people seeing the light planes in the sky with the object, the closest airport, Moorabbin, denied having any planes in the sky at that time.
“I drive past (Moorabbin) several times a day and there is never a time when there’s not planes taking off or coming in,” Mr Greenwood can be heard saying.
“So I think it was rather a silly statement for them to make that at that time there were no planes in the sky.”
People are still trying to figure out what exactly those 300 people saw. Picture: Supplied.

When Mr Greenwood tried to speak with the physical education teacher who also witnessed the event all she would admit is that she “saw something” but then refused to speak about it anymore.
He also said he was met with complete denial from the headmaster who didn’t want to hear anything about it and even accused him of being hung over and seeing things.
“He is one of these people that runs his school on the book and if it’s not in the book you don’t do it. And there is nothing about how to handle UFO sightings in the book. Therefore you ignore them,” Mr Greenwood said.
He said that after the incident the school received a visit from the Royal Australian Airforce but the headmaster didn’t want to hear anything they had to say and “promptly told them to get lost”.
The interview offers a rare first-hand account of what may have happened that day.
The sighting sparked worldwide interest, with people still debating about what those students and staff actually saw.
Some believe it was definitely an alien encounter while others suspect it may have been new government technology.
A recent video has been uploaded to MUFON by submitter 96894. The man's wife Anita filmed two videos during the evening of December 9, 2018.
The object in question was seen over Waterford, Ireland and shows a very unusually colored and shaped object.
What we see is a purple-colored donut shape with several breaks in the circular shape. The object is adorned on top with no less than 18 brightly lit white lights.
The object fades in and out of focus from time to time, but is clearly seen most of the time. The question at hand is what this strange object is.
The UFO could be anything from an unusual drone to an inflated object of some kind, or something more sinister. Take a good look and see if you can identify it.
A Near Earth Object (NEO) is a comet or asteroid that’s path is pulled by gravity causing it to pass close to the Earth. There are around 19,000 NEOs that NASA and other scientific communities keep track of. Theses astronomers try to track all of these objects so that they can warn us if there is an impending collision with the Earth. Unfortunately, there is no way that they can keep track of all of these objects. Many of them aren’t noticed until after they pass the Earth; if they get noticed at all.
The thought of a NEO is already scary enough on its own but now there is a developing theory that some of these objects may contain intelligent, alien life. It is really hard for us to comprehend how this is possible but you have to remember that these alien species are thousands of years (if not more) advanced than us humans.
How Could Aliens Use a NEO as a Space Ship?
When we think about a space ship or UFO we usually think about a metal vehicle with a propulsion system of some kind. A NEO traveling at fifty-thousand miles an hour through the galaxy is the perfect vessel to use for long space flights. Some of these asteroids are big enough to support colonies of aliens. If advanced aliens colonized one of these asteroids then they could easily harness its energy.
Asteroids Are Constantly Passing Earth
NEO’s Are Not Always Predictable
One of the reasons that we think that there might be alien manipulation involved on some of these NEOs is because some of their paths seem to change in ways that are not expected to Astronomers. Astronomy is a very complicated science, that I don’t claim to understand at all, so I will just have to assume that the scientists know what they are talking about.
There are many things that us humans still don’t understand about the Universe, but one of the theories to why these objects change courses unexpectedly is because they are being manipulated, intentionally, by an intelligent alien.
Turning An Asteroid Into a Space Ship or UFO
The process of turning an asteroid into a space ship is more plausiblethan you might think. Catching up to the asteroid would be the hardest part. Once a colony of aliens or alien androids are on the object, they could manipulate its trajectory pretty easily. Turning the object would only take a little nudge of a propulsion device. The aliens could also speed up the asteroid by using the gravity of larger objects. By using these techniques, an alien, asteroid space ship could travel indefinitely through the universe while using almost no power.
Time is Relative
If you are like me then you are probably already poking holes in this theory. It is just a theory after all. So is Theoretical Physics but people act like string theory is a fact. Anyways. One of the problems with this theory is that even though these asteroids are traveling at really high speeds, it would still take them forever to get anywhere. When objects are thousands of light years away, thousands of miles an hour isn’t fast enough to get anywhere.
While time and distance do cause problems with this theory, it doesn’t completely destroy it. This mode of transportation would be useful for long-term missions. You always have to remember that this space ship isn’t full of humans. Aliens life spans could be tens of thousands of years. Or more! A really advanced species of aliens could have learned how to fight off death permanently. Eternal life is already in the works here on Earth, so I am sure that advanced aliens have already thought about it. If aliens could live this long then to them a few thousand years trip would be possible.
Good Ole Suspended Animation
We can’t forget about the old Sci Fi classic idea of suspended animation either. While it is just a movie trick here on Earth, aliens could really be using this method to travel for long periods of space and time. Other ways to get around the slow travel speed of using a NEO as a space ship are wormholes, warp engines and androids. If a typical alien UFO can do it then one of these converted asteroids can too. We can’t comprehend what these advanced alien species are capable of. This is why they were so often confused with Gods in the past.
UFOs Asteroid Air Craft Carrier
I hope that, by reading this, you now realize how possible it is that aliens could be using NEOs as space ships. It doesn’t have to be an object near Earth, of course, but that is probably the only way that we will ever find out about it. At least in our life times. Aliens could be using these asteroids like we use air craft carriers. Maybe one day, a fleet of UFOs will pop out of a passing comet or asteroid. Hopefully they will be friendly. Until then, we will keep speculating and watching the skies.
The radar signature meandered over southern Illinois for 10 hours on Monday.
It definitely wasn’t precipitation, the National Weather Servicesaid.
But that seemed for days to be the only sure thing about the blob, which floated for nearly 140 miles before scattering into nothing after it crossed into western Kentucky.
So what was it?
Birds? Meteors?
The National Weather Service in Paducah posted this message on Facebook at 1:00 a.m. this morning:
The first volley of a coordinated campaign to distract military aircraft from alien sorties?
Chris Noles, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service outpost in Paducah, Ky., first observed the disturbance.
So when you’re watching severe weather crawl across the radar screen, Noles said, yellow and red typically show hail or snow. Those are strong.
Rain and drizzle are not so solid and appear as weaker signals, in blue and green hues.
This disturbance, then, was puzzling and churned with a core of yellow and red signatures as it pushed along a southeastern wind, producing radar signals from as high as 10,000 feet.
Birds don’t appear that way on radar, Noles said.
So: ̶b̶i̶r̶d̶s̶.
Meteors are pretty solid. But they don’t move at 14 miles an hour.
So: ̶m̶e̶t̶e̶o̶r̶s̶.
North American Aerospace Defense Command, which oversees air sovereignty in the United States, said it was following the incident but did not have information on what the object could have been.
What about aliens then?
“NORAD does not track UFOs or alien aircraft,” spokesman Michael Kucharek said, though he explained that NORAD would be aware of unauthorized aircraft in the United States.
Kucharek referred further questions to the Federal Aviation Administration, which referred back to NORAD.
(NORAD does, however, track Santa’s flight across the world. But it’s too early for Santa to show up on radar.)
Back at the National Weather Service, Noles offered another explanation.
Perhaps the slow-moving band that tracked with wind patterns on that clear day was a countermeasure launched from a military aircraft.
Chaff is a cloud of light aluminum-coated material deployed in the air to fool and overwhelm radar signals that may be tracking the aircraft. An incident in southern Missouri in the 1990s that Noles observed was similar, he said.
But an NWS report on chaff and its impact on weather radar said chaff typically lingers for two to five hours. Monday’s incident was twice as long as the high end of that window.
A longer event is not unprecedented, however.
During a training exercise in 2013, a military aircraft launched chaff over Alabama, where it lingered in the atmosphere for about the same amount of time — 10 hours, according to the NWS report.
Two military installations relatively close to the path of the most recent radar anomaly — Scott Air Force Base in Illinois and Fort Campbell in Kentucky — told the Evansville Courier and Press that their aircraft were not responsible.
An Evansville meteorologist said he was told by an unnamed pilot that chaff came from a military C-130 transport aircraft but did not say where it originated.
The mystery continued Wednesday, even for those who would eventually know what really happened.
It was chaff released from a C-130H aircraft piloted by the 130th Airlift Wing of the West Virginia Air National Guard during a training operation, state guard spokeswoman Capt. Holli Nelson said.
The pilots were required to expend the material, potentially for safety reasons, Nelson said, and received air traffic control permission to do so.
Officials at the National Guard Bureau began to piece together that news by the afternoon.
“I woke up, and I was having my coffee, picking through news and saw the headline myself,” said Army Master Sgt. Mike Houk, a Bureau spokesman. “And I didn’t know what it was.”
Residents of the Illinois–Indiana–Kentucky tri-state area were treated to a genuine airborne mystery this week when weather radar picked up a strange anomaly, puzzling meteorologists and weather watchers alike. Despite the fact that skies were clear and no storms were reported in the area, several weather stations reported a massive, extremely severe-looking storm on their radar systems. While an official explanation was given in the wake of the incident, we all know how official explanations go. What exactly happened in the skies over Indiana this week?
It all began late on the evening of Monday, December 12 when the National Weather Service office in Paducah, Kentucky reported a large anomaly over Southern Illinois which drifted across Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky. Whatever was on radar appeared to be as dense as a thunderstorm, but with the night clear and temperatures low, that theory was ruled improbable.
With little else to go on, National Weather Service believe the only other explanation is chaff released by a military aircraft. Chaff is a common countermeasure designed to fool radar and consists of small fibers or strands of metallized glass, paper, plastic, or aluminum. Clouds of lightweight chaff released by aircraft float on the air and are commonly picked up by weather radar.
Newer types of chaff in several different diameters.
However, this recent case appears different. National Weather Service meteorologist Greg Meffert says whatever caused this radar anomaly appeared to track as high as 10,000 feet but also at ground level. If it was chaff, Meffert adds, the weather service has “never seen it quite this hot.” Meffert went on to point out that he’s never before seen the Air Force conduct chaff exercises or tests in the Evansville, Indiana area.
A formation of C-130 Hercules aircraft fire off chaff and flare countermeasures over the Nevada Test and Training Range.
Furthermore, whenever nearby air bases have conducted drills with chaff, residents in the area have found the fibers strewn throughout their yards. In this case, no fibers were reported. Still, several news outlets report that air traffic control in Evansville were aware of a C-130 releasing chaff in the area on Monday. If this was chaff, why did it appear so different from prior tests? It could merely be a new type of countermeasure the weather service is unfamiliar with.
Military aviation blog The Drive adds that chaff does not usually stay in such a tight pattern for over 10 hours like this radar anomaly did. The Drive‘s Tyler Rogoway reached out to all nearby Armed Forces bases to see which might have conducted the chaff test, but none claimed responsibility. Rogoway’s theory is that this was likely “a test involving a more exotic type of material that hangs in the air longer” than normal chaff. Why conduct a test in such an usual location over suburban Indiana and not on a test range, though?

In this truly amazing footage we see this greenish plasma like light just appeared during an electrical storm to which it seem to have been fired up by the light underneath and at a point in this footage it looks like the unknown green light is emitting light downward toward the ground.
Artist's conception of the Hudson Valley UFO.(Copyright Lee Krystek, 2008)
In a place you would hardly expect, just one hour north of New York City, lies the site of one of the most widely observed and yet most unexplainable set of UFO sightings ever seen. The place is the Hudson Valley, and the story of its strange UFO started on New Years Eve, 1982.
A few minutes before midnight, a retired police officer was out in his backyard in Kent, New York when he observed a group of strange lights off to the south. They were colored red, green and white. At first the former officer thought they belonged to a jet aircraft in trouble, but as the object passed over his house at a height he estimated to be about 500 feet, he realized it was moving much too slowly for a jet and made too little noise. Just a distant humming sound. As he watched, he decided the the lights, which appeared as a "V" shape, were connected by a dark, triangular fuselage.
What the former officer had seen would be observed many times in the Hudson Valley area over the next few years by hundreds of different witnesses: A "V" shaped set of multicolored lights moving slowly and silently across the sky. On March 26th, 1983, a front-page story in the Westchester-Rockland Daily Item proclaimed:
HUNDREDS CLAIM TO HAVE SEEN UFO
The article, which told of sightings of a triangular UFO on Marth 24th, got the attention of a group of UFO researchers in the Valley associated with Dr. J Allen Hynek, founder of the Center for UFO Studies. The group started an investigation of the phenomena which was later documented as a book, Night Siege: The Hudson Valley UFO Sightings, authored by Dr. Hynek and Philip J. Imbrogno, with the help of Bob Pratt.
The group opened up a UFO hotline and received over 300 calls from people that had seen the UFO on the night of March 24th alone. One witness cited in the book reported that it had moved up the Taconic Parkway in "sort of a Z pattern." He described the object as being triangular in shape with thirty to forty colored lights along the back edge. The object, he stated, was huge, "If there is such a thing as a flying city, this was a flying city."
The object apparently cruised over the community of Yorktown that evening too where the police switchboard became so jammed with reports, officials became concerned that they would be unable to take emergency calls.
On the Taconic parkway people pulled over to watch the object as it moved slowly on its path. One observer estimated it was "as large as an aircraft carrier."
The UFO researchers estimated that over 5,000 people had seen the object over a period of five years from 1982 through 1986. Often the UFO seemed to glide over large areas causing dozens of sightings in one night. It was never spotted during the day.
Most reports came from people who seemed to be reliable witnesses. As the authors put it "ordinary people who have seen something extraordinary." The UFO was seen not just over the Hudson Valley, but as far east as New Haven, Connecticut and as far north as Brookfield, Connecticut.
While most reports described the UFO moving at a very slow speed, hovering, or turning slowly like a wheel, a few reports described the object as suddenly zooming away at fantastic speeds, or just disappearing. In some accounts the shape varied so that the lights appeared as more of a circle than a "V". Often the color and arrangement of the lights changed as the viewers watched. In a few cases reports arrived that put the object at two distant locations at the same time suggesting there might be more than one of them.
One of the most striking reports that the group gathered was from guards at the Indian Point Nuclear Plant. The UFO apparently hovered over an active nuclear reactor for some minutes coming as close to the reactor dome as thirty feet. The security supervisor even considered ordering guards to shoot it down. One guard described it as being the length of three football fields.
The object also seemed to be interested in bodies of water. One observer watched the UFO over Croton Falls Reservoir where it seemed to use a red beam to probe the surface.
The researchers knew that when investigated most UFO reports turn into reports of IFOs: Identified Flying Objects. Often they turn out to be planes, balloons, satellites, or even the planet Venus. They did find evidence that some of the reports of the "V" shape may have been a group of small planes flying out of the Stormville Airport. The pilots seemed to have been flying their planes in a formation in a deliberate attempt at a UFO hoax.
The plane hoax only cleared up a small number of reports, however. Most observers reported that the lights moved together as a solid object. Others could see the body of the UFO between the lights. None of the observers who had seen both the planes and the object thought they were the same phenomenon.
There are few good explanations for most of the Hudson Valley sightings. The only object that moves slowly through the air and hovers almost silently is a blimp. Researchers contacted all blimp operators in the area and could find no matches between the blimp schedules and the UFO reports. It was widely speculated at the time that object was a formation of ultralight planes. This seems unlikely as the UFO was nearly silent, could hover, and carried tremendously bright lights, all things ultralight aircraft are incapable of doing.
The Hudson Valley UFO remains a mystery even today. If you decide to take a trip to the Hudson Valley to try and see the strange UFO for yourself, you may want to stay at one of the excellent local bed and breakfast Inns. One, the Burlingham Inn, has decided to take advantage of the strange nighttime phenomena by featuring a UFO Bed & Breakfast. They welcome UFO watchers and list UFO sighting as one of the activities for which the Inn is especially well located.
This may be an anti climax to the title to some, but it’s ufo none the less. To save you time, it’s in the last 40 seconds of the video
for a moment I thought it may be a snow covered mountain top but the white is crossing the sea. So the object is floating or flying above the clouds doesnt look like a plane to me? So must be a alien space ship

Recording reveals details of UFO sighting where 300 children saw ‘alien’ craft landing
Rob Waugh
It’s one of the most mysterious and widely witnessed UFO sightings of all time – when 300 Australian children and teachers all saw a strange saucer-shaped object landing near them.
Now a new recording has surfaced, more than 50 years on – seemingly from one of the teachers who witnessed the strange, silent object in Westall, Australia in 1966.
Teacher Andrew Greenwood says in the recording that he initially refused to come out of his classroom when a girl rushed in saying there was a UFO outside.
But when he came out, he says he saw an object shaped like a ‘plate with a bulge in the middle’ – and watched it play ‘cat and mouse’ with planes.
Other witnessses (who have held reunions in the 50 years since the incidents) have described a similar, strange object.
Sceptics have suggested that the object was a weather balloon.
The new recording was published by a UFO site and is believed to be an interview between Greenwood and American physicist, Dr James E McDonald).
News.com reveals that Mr Greenwood said, ‘I observed the object everyone was looking at. It was grey against a blue grey sky so I didn’t see it immediately.
‘The only thing I’ve got to compare it against is some smaller sized cessna aircraft and it was approximately two thirds the length of one of those.’
‘It did hover at times, it seemed to be able to accelerate and disappear out of sight and then someone would see it over in another part of the sky.
'It moved a considerable distance away very rapidly and then moved back again.’
‘It came towards us, not that we could see it actually coming towards us, but we could see that it was closer now than it was before. It would go up and down. It could move slowly, but generally it seemed to hover or move really fast.’
Westall High School, as it looks today in Clayton South, Victoria, Australia
Greenwood describes how the object seemed to play ‘cat and mouse’ with an aircraft, saying ‘it moved over to another part of the sky very rapidly. The plane followed it over and it moved back again.’

UFOs Are Real: Ex Air Force Officer Claims He Chased A ‘8000mph’ Craft
A retired Air Force officer came clean saying that the UK government hides extraterrestrial life as a top-secret, further describing his own UFO confrontation.
George Filer III is 82 years old and currently serves as the New Jersey director of MUFON, which is an American based non-profit association that studies the UFO phenomena. He is one of the many ex-military and NASA veterans to speak openly about UFOs.
However, he also happens to have 20 years of experience as an Air Force officer. He revealed that some of the events he experienced in the air are rather inexplicable.
Namely, during the Cold War, Filer was placed in Scotland. He remembers piloting a military aircraft that tried to intercept a weird object that was as big as a bridge on the radar.
As they were getting nearer, they were able to see lights off in the distance. He described the lights looked something like a cruise ship at night. There were multiple all over the object.
“As we got, I don’t know, about 5 miles from it – it went up into space. We were doing over 400mph and I would say it was doing 10, 20 times our speed and it was this huge object,” Filer stated.
In the end, they were convinced the object was not something common. In his opinion, however, it looked like a really long cylinder.
Ever since Filer spilled the beans with the American Asbury Park Press, his story went viral online. Now, of course, it’s one of the most favorite topics of the conspiracy theorists.
