Unveiling the Hidden Kingdom: Secrets Beneath Antarctica’s Icy Surface
Unveiling the Hidden Kingdom: Secrets Beneath Antarctica’s Icy Surface
The documentary “ALIEN CHRONICLES – ANTARCTIC WORLDS BELOW | The Hidden Kingdom” offers a compelling exploration into the mysteries surrounding Antarctica, particularly focusing on the theory of a hidden kingdom beneath its icy surface. This sci-fi documentary presents a series of intriguing claims, historical anecdotes, and modern-day scientific findings that invite viewers to reconsider conventional understandings of Earth’s structure and the possibility of hidden realms within our planet.
The Hollow Earth Theory
At the heart of the documentary is the Hollow Earth theory, which posits that Earth might not be a solid mass but could instead have vast, habitable cavities within. This idea, although not widely accepted by the mainstream scientific community, has persisted throughout history. The documentary traces this theory back to prominent figures such as Edmund Halley and Leonhard Euler. Halley, famous for Halley’s Comet, proposed in the 17th century that Earth consists of a hollow shell with multiple inner layers, each capable of supporting life. Euler, in the 18th century, suggested that the center of Earth houses a small sun, providing light and warmth to inner civilizations.
Historical and Mythological References
The documentary delves into various historical texts and mythologies that seem to support the Hollow Earth theory. Ancient Buddhist texts speak of a race of superhumans living in subterranean realms, accessible through tunnels guarded by monks. Similarly, Hindu texts describe the legendary kingdom of Shambala, located deep within the Earth. These stories, while mythical, resonate with the idea of hidden, advanced civilizations beneath our feet.
Admiral Richard Byrd’s Expeditions
One of the most captivating segments of the documentary focuses on Admiral Richard Byrd’s Antarctic expeditions. In 1947, Byrd led Operation Highjump, a major military expedition to Antarctica. According to his reported accounts, during a flight over the South Pole, Byrd encountered lush green landscapes and prehistoric creatures, including mammoths, suggesting the existence of a verdant, hidden world. Byrd claimed that he was taken into this subterranean realm by advanced beings concerned about humanity’s use of nuclear weapons.
Modern Scientific Insights
The documentary also incorporates modern scientific findings to bolster its claims. For instance, recent satellite data and 3D maps have revealed complex geological formations beneath Antarctica’s ice, including ancient cratons and orogens that resemble the structures of other continents. These discoveries have reignited interest in Antarctica’s potential hidden features and the possibility of ancient civilizations.
Controversies and Conspiracies
Despite the fascinating narrative, the documentary does not shy away from the controversies surrounding its claims. It touches on conspiracy theories about secret Nazi bases in Antarctica and alleged UFO sightings near the continent. While these theories lack substantial evidence, they add to the mystique and allure of the hidden kingdom hypothesis.
The Scientific Community’s Stance
Mainstream science largely dismisses the Hollow Earth theory due to lack of empirical evidence. Studies involving seismic data and Earth’s gravitational field support the current understanding of Earth’s interior as consisting of a solid core, a molten outer core, and a solid mantle. However, the documentary suggests that not all scientific mysteries have been solved, and Antarctica remains a largely unexplored frontier.

ALIEN CHRONICLES – ANTARCTIC WORLDS BELOW | The Hidden Kingdom | Full SCI-FI Movie Documentary HD
“ALIEN CHRONICLES – ANTARCTIC WORLDS BELOW | The Hidden Kingdom” presents a thought-provoking blend of historical myths, scientific anomalies, and speculative theories. While the idea of a hidden kingdom beneath Antarctica may seem far-fetched, it captures the imagination and underscores the enduring human fascination with the unknown. As scientific exploration of Antarctica continues, who knows what secrets this frozen continent might yet reveal? Whether fact or fiction, the documentary invites viewers to keep an open mind and explore the possibilities that lie beneath the surface of our world.
The UFO community has never been more active than it is now. The phenomenon has always been around us but due to the lack of transparency, it never became so open to discussion. Since the last decade, the number of UFO sightings has increased. And now, we are shooting these objects in the air, leaving the whole world to watch them.
Even after thousands of UFO cases including photos and videos, we have no clue who is behind it. China, Russia, the United States have their experts to investigate the UAPs but surprisingly, they do not blame each other. Perhaps, it is non-human technology and no one has any idea from where it came as filmmaker Jeremy Corbell claims.
It is really shocking and weird that nobody paid attention to former AATIP head Luis Elizondo’s statement about “UFO Occupancy and biological samples.” With Curt Jaimungal on his Theories of Everything (TOE) podcast in 2021, Elizondo carefully hinted that “potentially” the U.S. government has acquired otherworldly biological samples. He also suggested that the government has images of UAPs that appear to show beings inside them.
Elizondo spent 20 years as a military intelligence officer in the Pentagon and during his career, he ran the most secretive UFO program Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). In 2017, after the expose of this secret program, Elizondo whistleblew many things he had learned about UFOs and possible non-human intelligence.
“Have there potentially been biological samples recovered?” Curt asked. ELizondo replied: “Yes. I’m not going to expound on that… and be careful when I say that. I’m being purposely very open and vague at the same time, right? What does that mean? Well, it means what it means.”
Besides, when asked if there are photos that show occupants inside “craft,” Elizondo said: “There are some very compelling photos out there that seem to show something inside, some sort of occupancy, And I’ll leave it at that, because it gets really murky, much beyond that.
And there’s a lot that can be speculated. And so I try to avoid speculation as much as possible. But yes, I’ve spoken to enough people with firsthand knowledge that not only report the crafts that we know exists, but potentially some sort of intelligence inside these vehicles.”
Why isn’t this topic being discussed by everyone on the planet? Is it feasible that the majority of people are disregarding this news, even if they are aware of it? At what point does the truth and its mind-boggling consequences become too conspicuous to overlook?
UFO Occupancy Case
Keeping Elizondo’s words in mind, there is a UFO crash incident outside of Edwards Air Force Base involving a contactee survivor with at least one other witness. It happened to a young woman named Lorraine Dvorak Cordini in 1971. This case is mentioned in different books with minor changes.
According to the eyewitnesses, one summer evening in 1971, the calm Californian night was suddenly broken by a sharp unearthly roar, which ended with an equally frightening rumble. When people ran out of their houses, a large cloud and signs of flames were visible near Edwards Air Force Base in California. Several people stated that they had allegedly seen “three gray humanoids,” as well as a human woman in a strange, tight-fitting pink suit, among the ruins of some wrecked vehicle.
However, before anyone knew what had happened, a lot of military trucks and other vehicles arrived and quickly isolated the area. In addition, they removed the debris and any signs of the incident and took the humanoids and the woman with them. Some residents assumed they were taken to Edwards Military Base.
A witness named Debbie Clayton reported that she had heard a loud crashing noise. There was a cloud of dust outside her home. Ufologist Albert Rosales tracked down that mysterious woman in a pink bodysuit, and she agreed to undergo a hypnotherapy session to remember the events of that night.
Here Lorraine is in a local 1996 newspaper article: “Group prepares for first contact as UFO’s gain more credibility”. In light of current events, these were prophetic words.
Lorraine claimed that she had been abducted from her home, dressed in pink clothes, and taken to a large ship in Earth orbit for an inspection.
She was then put in a smaller ship – the one that crashed – and sent back to Earth with several strange creatures. She woke up already in the military hangar. Even stranger, at least according to the hypnosis sessions, while being there, she saw not only military personnel but also strange creatures with large heads, different from those that took her out of her room.
Needless to say, this whole story seems very strange and raises doubts about its veracity. Clayton was baffled when she found no newspaper written about the story and there was no news about it on TV as well.
It was the first case of the only human survivor found at a Crash Retrieval. Researcher Richard Geldreich Jr. has written details on this case and found the identity of the witness and contactee. Lorraine or Lori was working on her autobiography in 2009 but it never came out, perhaps she passed away before bringing it to the world.
Elizondo is certain about UFO occupancy and recovered alien biological samples. He even gave his candid take on the 1947 Roswell crash in New Mexico and more in an interview with the Roswell Daily Record.
He said he had conversations with so-called “graybeards” at the Pentagon who had been involved with UAPs since Project Blue Book. It was from these individuals that Elizondo learned what probably occurred at Roswell in 1947.
Elizondo said: ”These individuals were convinced that the events in New Mexico were not fiction. In fact that it was a, very much a real event and that some very exotic material was recovered… And then there was a subsequent effort to try to be very dismissive about what occurred in New Mexico.”
On UAP Phenomenon, Elizondo noted: “This is something we’ve been dealing with for a long time. Imagine the first person to get on a boat and sail over the horizon. There’s stories of sea monsters and Krakens that will devour you and destroy your boat. Yet, we did it anyways. We did sail, and we explored the world. It turns out, 500 years later, there really are sea monsters. We call them the Great Squid of the Pacific, and great white sharks and whales.
Now they’re just part of nature and have a scientific name, but those sea monsters still exist. They’re there, we just learned to understand them. Maybe this is the same thing. Maybe this is just another expedition over the horizon where we’re going to realize what we thought were monsters are really just neighbors.”
Large Language Models with Artificial Intelligence (AI) are neural networks whose hardware is very different from the human brain. They consume giga-watts of power instead of tens of watts, they are made of silicon instead of spongy flesh and blood, and their artificial neurons transmit signals at the speed of light. Such signals would have traveled 150 kilometers during the half-millisecond it takes neurotransmitter molecules to travel between synapses in the million-times smaller brain.
These material differences suggest that AI systems represent what we might characterize as an “alien” intelligence. Sure, we can do our best to align AI with humans through extensive training and supervision, but in the long run, this attempt might end up being comparable to putting lipstick on a pig.
Indeed, the fundamental distinction between AI and human intelligence might offer us a first taste of what we may one day encounter through the eventual discovery of extraterrestrial technologies manufactured under unimaginable circumstances on some distant exoplanet.
The Drake equation does little to shed any light on the chances of having such an encounter. Within billions of years, it takes just a single advanced civilization in the entire Milky Way galaxy to fill all of interstellar space with self-replicating probes that are equipped with AI and 3D printers so as to produce copies of themselves out of the raw materials they can find in remote locations. This trick of self-replication is familiar to terrestrial microbes, which regularly reproduce and multiply.
Interestingly, the computational abilities of both AI and the human brain are limited by the power available to them. The human brain grew to consume a fifth of the body’s metabolic energy, a requirement barely satisfied by hunting and gathering natural resources. The exponential growth of AI systems will likely saturate within a decade or two because of limitations on the electric power supply.
It is natural to assume, by extension, that the level of intelligence exhibited by extraterrestrial probes will be limited by their power supply. The energy flux supplied by a star scales inversely with distance squared, whereas the time to cross that distance scales in proportion to its value. As a result, the amount of available stellar energy scales inversely with the distance of the closest approach to a star. By reaching the Earth-Sun separation, an interstellar probe can harvest 100,000 more energy than attainable at the midpoint between the Sun and its nearest star. This provides a good incentive for interstellar probes to visit the habitable region around stars. Diving ten times closer to the star could lead to the melting of the probe, as its surface temperature would exceed a thousand degrees.
Aside from providing power at tolerable surface temperatures, the habitable region around a star also offers the opportunity for finding liquid water, which could be converted to hydrogen or oxygen fuel through the breakup of water molecules by electrolysis. For these reasons, habitable planets could be viewed by interstellar probes as fueling stations.
Functional interstellar probes might arrive near Earth for these reasons. Imagining that they do it because of us is pretentious. We might not be the main attraction on Earth, as science fiction movies often lead us to believe, given our self-centered mindset.
In a big city, we often find strangers on our street who do not care about us. Similarly, extraterrestrial probes might not view our nuclear arsenals as a threat or as an asset. But we might use them to benefit from their insights or align our interests with theirs. These are the same motivations that guide our interaction with AI systems. Given these similarities, the abbreviation AI could stand for alien intelligence as much as it stands for artificial intelligence of our own making.
Our biggest telescopes are unable to detect the flux of sunlight reflected from meter-size probes unless they arrive within a distance comparable to the Earth’s diameter. Based on the impact rate of interstellar meteors, like IM1 or IM2, there should be millions of meter-scale objects from interstellar space within the orbit of the Earth around the Sun at any given time. The key question is whether any of these interstellar objects is artificial in origin. And most importantly, are there any functional devices among the rocks and space trash that most objects represent?
I write this with hopes that the three observatories of the Galileo Project in the U.S. will join forces with the Rubin Observatory in Chile, to find new interstellar objects starting in 2025. Even if only one in a million of these objects happens to be a functional device, its discovery will change the way we behave, similar to the realization that someone is reading our emails or listening to our phone calls.
After identifying the nutrients an interstellar probe feeds on, we can attract it to our backyard by generously providing these nutrients. A closer encounter would allow us to learn more about the nature of its alien intelligence. The limited power supply might limit an alien probe’s intelligence level, but the critical unknown is whether that level exceeds ours. When dealing with alien intelligence, the ultimate challenge is the `unknown unknowns,’ not the `known unknowns.’
We might be part of a large population of intelligence that emerged since the Big Bang 13.8 billion years ago. The fundamental question is how many of them have more parameters than the human brain. For now, our limited knowledge allows us to imagine the benefits of large numbers. We know that there are about 100 billion neurons in the human brain, similar to the number of stars in the Milky Way galaxy or the number of Milky Way galaxies in the observable volume of the universe.
AI systems might augment our bodies in the future, like alien lifeforms. This will not be unprecedented, as there are 100 trillion bacteria in the human gut, similar to the number of stars in a rich cluster of galaxies.

The search for life beyond Earth requires expanding the very definition of what life can be.
Some exoplanets, especially those orbiting cooler red dwarfs, might host purple plant life rather than the green-hue vegetation found on Earth.
A new study from Cornell University discovered that a particular purple “light fingerprint” could be indicative of extraterrestrial life.
While the Earth is often called “the Pale Blue Dot” thanks to its bountiful oceans, most of the planet’s land masses are dominated by the color green. Plants use chlorophyll (which absorbs red and blue light but, reflects green light) to captures solar energy, and use carbon and water to make food through a process known as photosynthesis. While this fourth grade biology lesson outlines the predominant way plant life thrives on our planet, life on other Earth-like exoplanets (especially those orbiting red dwarf stars) could use a different method entirely—one that would turn the whole world purple.
Scientists from Cornell University analyzed how alien plants that rely on infrared radiation for photosynthesis might transform the hues of alien worlds. These kinds of bacteria, which include phototrophic anoxygenic bacteria and photoheterotrophic bacteria, could emit a distinctive “light fingerprint” that could be detectable by upcoming observatories, including the European Southern Observatory’s Extremely Large Telescope. The results of the study were published in the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
“Purple bacteria can thrive under a wide range of conditions, making it one of the primary contenders for life that could dominate a variety of worlds,” Cornell University Ph.D. student Lígia Fonseca Coelho said in a press statement. “They already thrive here in certain niches… just imagine if they were not competing with green plants, algae and bacteria: A red sun could give them the most favorable conditions for photosynthesis.”
To understand the color and chemical signature such a world would emit, Coelho and her colleagues gathered 20 specimens of purple sulfur and purple non-sulfur bacteria from various places around the world—including hydrothermal vents and even ponds near Cornell’s campus. These bacteria rely on low-energy red and infrared right for a photosynthesis-like process, and while purple bacteria might be a biological niche today, some scientists theorize that an ancient Earth was likely much more purple than it is today.
When the molecule chlorophyll evolved on Earth—thanks in no small part to a rise in oxygen levels—the Sun’s green light was already being absorbed by retinal-leveraging plants. So, instead, the molecule absorbed all other available light. Even though the Sun emits less light in that spectrum, chlorophyll were part of a more advanced, efficient system at producing photosynthesis, and Earth’s green hue began to take shape.
But on oxygen-poor exoplanets orbiting cool, red dwarf stars, things might be drastically different. Coelho developed various models of Earth-like planets across a range of wet and dry environments, and many of the simulated “light fingerprints” came back purple.
“If purple bacteria are thriving on the surface of a frozen Earth, an ocean world, a snowball Earth or a modern Earth orbiting a cooler star,” Coelho said in a press statement. “We now have the tools to search for them.”
So, when aliens finally do reach Earth, don’t count on “little green men.” As for flying purple people-eaters... well, now we’re on to something.

A professor at one of the world's top universities says that aliens have '100%' visited earth and says that UAPs actually protect humans.
Dr Garry Nolan, a Professor of pathology at Stanford University, said that unidentified anomalous phenomenon provide a planetary defence, acting as a protection for humans, according to Sunday World.
He suggested that the theory from fellow Irishman Patrick Jackson, who lives in Cambridge, is worth investigating.
“I have been talking to Patrick for over a year now and was among the first to try to get him out there. I think there’s something worth investigating,” Professor Nolan wrote at the weekend.

The Nobel Prize nominee added: "I am deeply aware of the situation. I find the results and general observations compellingly worth trying to understand,” Professor Nolan continued.
"Sets of spheres seen in photos that were ‘unnoticed’ over decades. Who would know to ‘hoax’ them repeatedly until Patrick noticed them? Full credit to him.”
Patrick said: “The sphere network has indeed been around for a very long time, it appears to be fully up-to-date and adaptive.
"This suggests that whoever built it is still around and maintaining it - a second species. Harvard researchers suggest aliens may live among us.”

A Harvard study released in early June stated: “UAP have been reported in various forms, including spheres, discs, triangles, and other shapes, ranging in size from small orbs to large craft.
“Many exhibit flight patterns and manoeuvres that defy conventional aerodynamics, such as sudden changes in direction, high speeds, and the ability to hover without apparent propulsion systems.
"...This is the 'cryptoterrestrial' hypothesis, namely the notion that UAP may reflect activities of intelligent beings concealed in stealth here on Earth (e.g., underground), and/or its near environs (e.g., the moon), and/or even "walking among us" (e.g., passing as humans)."

Two unearthed 'alien' mummies from Peru have sparked a firestorm of debate after x-ray and ultrasound data was revealed in March, with experts worried they might be ancient humans nicked by grave robbers.
Jaime Maussan, a Mexican journo and UFO boffin who reckons he's got the extraterrestrial cadavers, is on the hunt for Yank and Euro scientists to prove they're real.
Chatting to the Daily Mail, Maussan spilled the beans that more "analyses are being done", and he's taking the Peruvian Government to court for the rights to cart the bodies off to top-notch labs in the States.
Maussan, no stranger to controversy and having ruffled feathers for the best part of ten years, is floating the theory that these mummies could be alien-human "hybrids", with his team claiming the new finds are packing "30 percent unknown" DNA.

But the sceptics aren't buying it, with history buff Christopher Heaney telling the Daily Mail: "Personally, I am not convinced that they are humanoid. I think they're human".
Over the past twelve months, Maussan and his squad have been banging the drum for more scientific eyeballs on the remains, even causing a stir with a contentious showcase to Mexico's bigwigs in Congress and butting heads with Peru's Ministry of Culture.
In April, the drama hit fever pitch when cops busted into a press conference hosted by Maussan in Peru, aiming to nick one of the bodies on show known as "Montserrat".

Now, Maussan is hitting back with a whopper of a lawsuit against Peru's government, demanding damages and the right to cart the strange specimens off to the States for some poking and prodding by independents.
"The lawsuit is already in for $300 million (£235.5 million)," Maussan dished out to the Daily Mail.
On his Sunday show "No Humano", Maussan let slip it's going to be an eight-month wait for any news on the courtroom front. This isn't about lining his pockets though, he's keen to splash the cash on a museum showcasing the mummies.
I’m typically an extreme skeptic when it comes to evidence of extra terrestrial life on earth. But evidence from a new Discovery channel show has at least piqued my curiosity and bolsters the theory that a UFO crash landed in Roswell, New Mexico back in 1947.
In a short clip released from the show (video below), they reveal that they tested the metal allegedly found at the crash in Roswell in 1947 which people have for generations claimed to be a UFO. The man on camera claims the test results came back as 100% aluminum.
Why is this important? Because no matter how hard we’ve tried, humans have simply been unable to make 100% pure aluminum. We consider ‘pure aluminum’ to be 99% aluminum and our highest possible purity is 99.9999% but for aluminum to be 100% suggests it came from a UFO at Roswell.
Skeptic as I am, I’m inclined to think that whatever test was used to evaluate this aluminum was highly accurate but probably not accurate enough to test out to the .0001%.
Is it possible this is actually 100% aluminum? Sure. Is it more likely that the test simply wasn’t precise enough to detect that it was 99.9999% aluminum and not 100%? That seems more likely than it being a UFO.
Furthermore, given that the Roswell UFO crash was all the way back in 1947, I’m inclined to think that (1) it’s highly unlikely those crash fragments still exist and (2) corrosion might be playing a role here but that’s just me throwing darts at the wall to see what sticks.
There is an interesting Reddit thread where people posit other theories. The top comment also points out that it’s been 80 years and quite possible the military “pulled a switcheroo” between then and now. But there is also the option that is truly 100% aluminum and it came from a UFO. What do you all think? I’m inclined to think it’s 99.999% aluminum and the test was wonky.
During the summer of 1952, the United States was on high alert as UFO sightings over the nation’s capitalwere making frequent headlines. Buried amid the otherworldly clamor occupying the minds of Americans around that time, an obscure report conveyed that one of the objects—a small, glowing disc—was pursued and shot at by a military aircraft, blasting off a fragment that fell into a field near Washington D.C., which a naval officer later retrieved.
More than a decade later, an official government-funded scientific inquiry into UFOs—or what the United States government now calls unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP)—would investigate the incident, ultimately determining claims involving the 1952 UFO incident were unlikely to be true.
Without question, the notion that a fragment might have been recovered after a shoot-out with a flying saucer in the 1950s offers a textbook example of what most would call a dubious claim. Yet a deeper look into this Cold War-era rumor reveals, surprisingly, that there could potentially be more to this odd story than past assessments would seem to indicate.
However, you would never have gleaned that from reading the latest report issued by the U.S. Defense Department’s official UAP investigative office.
Last week, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) released a long-awaited historical report on its findings involving the United States government’s involvement with UAP and related programs since the end of World War II.
In the report, AARO investigators maintained the U.S. federal government’s longstanding position that it has never found any convincing evidence of extraterrestrial technologies operating near Earth, nor of any secret programs involving the acquisition or reverse engineering of crashed exotic technologies that have remained hidden from Congress.
The report was met with heavy criticism following its publication, partly due to a number of errors it was revealed to contain. Despite this, there were also a few intriguing inclusions made by AARO’s investigators, based on their relevance to the question of whether UAP materials have ever crashed on Earth and been studied.
One of these appears in a section of the AARO report that discusses the University of Colorado UFO Project, more commonly called the Condon Committee, a U.S. Air Force-funded evaluation of cases that were collected under its long-running Project Blue Book investigations that studied UFOs during the 1950s and 1960s.
According to AARO’s recent report, the Colorado scientific panel, led by American physicist Edward U. Condon, “investigated a claim made by radio broadcaster Frank Edwards in a 1966 book that a piece of a UFO was recovered near Washington, D.C. in the summer of 1952 during the spike in UFO sightings over the U.S. Capitol in July and August.”
The account in question appeared in Edwards’ book Flying Saucers: Serious Business, of which AARO’s investigators recount that Edwards “claimed that a USN jet fired on a two-foot diameter glowing disc and dislodged a one-pound fragment that was recovered by a ground team.” At the time of their study, the Condon Committee’s investigators inquired about the incident with Project Blue Book, who told the University of Colorado team that they were unaware of the purported 1952 incident.
Above: Excerpt from Frank Edwards’ 1966 book, Flying Saucers: Serious Business, where the author discussed the alleged 1952 UFO incident.
“The USAF and USN found no incident report of weapons engagement with a UFO that summer, no USN aircraft were present, and the retired officer who was the original source of the claim had retired before the summer of 1952, when the event allegedly occurred,” the AARO report’s summary reads.
The report then attributes another claim to Edwards, this time involving fragments from a UFO that were loaned by the United States to the Canadian government. “It is not clear if this claim was linked to the alleged Washington, D.C. incident,” the AARO report’s authors state, adding that “The Condon panel determined that these claims most likely were false.”
The reason any connections between the 1952 UFO incident and Frank Edwards’ claims of a flying saucer fragment being loaned to the Canadian government remained unclear to AARO’s investigators is probably very simple. In likelihood, their investigation of these claims took them no further than the Condon Committee’s report (as evidenced by the relevant source citations found at the end of AARO’s document). Indeed, the two events are connected, as a deeper examination of the literature regarding this alleged 1952 incident readily reveals.
Additionally, much like other assertions that appeared in the recent AARO report, some of the facts about this case have been misrepresented. However, this may not be entirely the fault of AARO’s team in this instance; a closer look at this case also reveals how much of the confusion arises from the Condon Committee’s original investigation, and problems involving their main source for the claims.
THE CONDON COMMITTEE’S CONFUSION
In the late 1960s, under contract No. 44620-67-C-0035 with the United States Air Force, the University of Colorado conducted an extensive analysis of UAP incidents collected by Project Blue Book, which resulted in the publication of its findings in a lengthy report titled Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects.
Despite the title of the Condon Committee’s report, many viewed it as being anything but a truly scientific evaluation of existing data on aerial mysteries. As British physicist Peter Sturrock later noted in his analysis of the Condon Committee’s findings, “most case studies were conducted by junior staff, the senior staff took little part, and the director took no part, in these investigations.” Additionally, after concerns were raised by some of the Committee’s members over apparent biases and other issues they identified with its leadership, several either resigned or were dismissed, resulting in the final report being partly assembled by staff who had only joined the project as it neared completion.

The saga of the 1952 UFO shoot-down over Washington was addressed in a section of the Condon Committee’s final report titled “Parts of UFOs, or UFO Equipment,” where the Colorado team’s investigators wrote that “Representatives of Air Force Project Blue Book claimed no knowledge of the disc fragment discussed by Edwards, who claimed the successful search for this fragment was confirmed by Lt. Cdr. Frank Thompson of the U.S. Navy.”
“The fragment, said to have been dislodged by gunfire from a Navy jet, reportedly fell to the ground, where it was found, still glowing, an hour later by U.S. military ground search crews,” the Committee’s report states. “Reports of UFO events over Washington, D.C., in 1952 contain no reference to such a gunfire incident,” they add, though noting that had the fragment ever really existed “and was classified ‘Secret’ as was claimed, its existence and whereabouts would not necessarily be revealed to this project.”
On the outside chance that such an incident might have occurred, the Committee’s members reached out to U.S. Air Force headquarters for clarification. A response came from J.W. Clinton “by direction of the Chief of Information, Department of the Navy,” who indicated that a search of all Navy records revealed no documentation related to the purported incident, nor could they find any records involving the retrieval of fragments at any time that were believed to have come from a UFO.
That wasn’t the only damning revelation that came from a search of the Navy’s records. “Perhaps more significant, however, were the facts that Navy records of the year 1952 carried only one Frank Thompson, an individual who had retired from active duty several years before 1952 with the rank of lieutenant, not lieutenant commander,” the Condon Committee’s report states. In addition to this, the Committee’s investigators were told that it was unlikely that U.S. Navy aircraft would have participated in any shoot downs of objects over the nation’s capital, since in doing so they “would have been usurping an Air Force function if they had been present over Washington, D. C., as interceptors.”
“The incident is not beyond the realm of possibility,” Clinton nonetheless conceded to the Colorado team, though ultimately concluding that the incident was “very highly unlikely” given the jurisdictional issues limiting any Navy aircraft’s involvement.
Although Clinton had admitted that the incident reported by Edwards might at least have been possible, the fact that there had been no evidence of a “Frank Thompson” with the rank of lieutenant commander in active service at the time seemed to pour cold water on Edwards’ claims.
However, a closer look at Edwards’ sources for this account reveals something that may help to clarify the matter, since it turns out the name of the Lieutenant Commander in question was not “Frank Thompson” at all.
In the relevant chapter of Flying Saucers: Serious Business, Edwards states that one of his sources regarding the 1952 affair had been an earlier book from 1955 by Major Donald E. Keyhoe, titled The Flying Saucer Conspiracy. In Edwards’ book, he even provides the page number (272) for Keyhoe’s account of the incident, a review of which helps to shed some light on the situation.
“I also listed a recent report given me by Lieutenant Commander Frank Thomas,” Keyhoe wrote in his brief account of the 1952 incident, immediately revealing that the “Frank Thompson” Edwards had been referencing was, in fact, instead a Lieutenant Commander Frank Thomas.
Above: Excerpt from Donald Keyhoe’s 1955 book, later cited by Frank Edwards, where the actual name of Keyhoe’s source is shown as “Frank Thomas.” Edwards mistakenly wrote this individual’s name as “Frank Thompson” in his 1966 book.
“According to Thomas, a peculiar object had fallen near Washington during the mass saucer sightings in 1952,” Keyhoe writes. “Retrieved by a naval officer, it was later analyzed by the Bureau of Standards.”
Keyhoe goes on to describe the object, noting that “one side of it was flat with odd markings, as if it had been milled. During tests the unknown substance proved to be fire-resistant. But the analysis, Thomas said, had failed to determine whether it was an artificially constructed object or a fragment of some unknown type of meteorite.”
Keyhoe concluded the brief account by adding that “Afterward the object had been sent to W. B. Smith at Ottawa for further analysis by Project Magnet engineers.”
One must wonder whether the Condon Committee might have had better success locating the Lieutenant Commander in question if only they had asked the Navy to search for Frank Thomas, rather than Frank Thompson, as Edwards later mistakenly spelled the individual’s name.
However, further adding to the confusion is the fact that nowhere in the original account written by Keyhoe is it stated that the fragment was dislodged from the UAP during the purported 1952 incident by fire from an aircraft. In Keyhoe’s account, the author only conveys that “a peculiar object had fallen near Washington during the mass saucer sightings in 1952,” though adding that it was “Retrieved by a naval officer.”
Although Edwards initially only referred to a “military jet” in his retelling of the account in 1966, later in the same chapter he makes passing references to “the fragment collected by gunfire from that Navy jet.” It seems likely that Edwards had merely inferred that a Navy jet had been involved; confusion that may have stemmed from his misreading, again, of Keyhoe’s original account involving a “naval officer” who retrieved the fragment, as well as his primary source, a USN lieutenant commander.
Based on this, it would appear the insinuation that a Navy jet had been involved was another error made by Edwards, which ultimately the Condon Committee’s investigators relied on without attempting to validate the author’s sources (more on where the idea of a jet’s involvement may have come from will be addressed in the following section). Add to this the fact that they had the wrong name of the alleged lieutenant commander they were looking for, and it becomes quite clear why the Navy was unable to corroborate any of the details in Edwards’ 1966 account.
THE WILBERT SMITH INTERVIEW
Although the recent AARO historical report only provides a cursory summary of the alleged 1952 incident based primarily on the Condon Committee’s findings (which, as demonstrated above, were doomed to fail from the outset based on inaccuracies in Frank Edwards’ account), there is still more to this bizarre story of alleged UAP debris. Much of this involves the Canadian engineer and UFO researcher Wilbert Smith, who eventually received the alleged flying saucer fragment according to Keyhoe’s original 1955 narrative.
A Canadian Department of Transport engineer, Smith ran Project Magnet, a UFO investigative effort that formally ran out of the Canadian government from December 1950 until mid-1954, although Smith’s informal studies involving UFOs continued for many years after the project ended.
“Smith assessed that UFOs were of extraterrestrial origin and that they flew by magnetism,” the recent AARO historical report states in a summary of Project Magnet that appears in a section addressing Foreign and Academic Investigatory Efforts. “Smith believed he was in personal contact with extraterrestrial beings through telepathy and ‘tensor beams’,” AARO’s investigators add, noting that in a 1961 interview Smith had “claimed that in 1952, the USAF lent him a piece of a UFO to study. He also claimed it was composed of magnesium orthosilicate.”
A rather revealing transcript of this interview with Smith appeared in Edwards’ 1966 book, based on a recording supplied to the author by Ohio-based researchers C.W. Fitch and George Popovitch, who conducted the 1961 interview. At one point while speaking with Smith, Fitch asked Smith about his association with the retired U.S. Navy Admiral Herbert B. Knowles, to whom Smith had reportedly shown the fragment of the saucer that the U.S. government had loaned him:
FITCH: You’re a friend of Admiral Knowles, Mr. Smith? [Rear Admiral H. B. Knowles, U.S. Navy, Retired.]
SMITH: Oh, yes. Admiral Knowles and I have been very good friends for many years.
FITCH: I have been told by a mutual friend that in 1952 you showed Admiral Knowles a piece of a flying saucer. Is that statement correct, sir?
SMITH: Yes. It is correct. I visited with Admiral Knowles and I had with me a piece which had been shot from a small flying saucer near Washington in July of that year—1952. I showed it to the Admiral. It was a piece of metal about twice the size of your thumb which had been loaned to me for a very short time by your Air Force.
FITCH: Is this the only piece you have handled which definitely had been part of a UFO, Mr. Smith?
SMITH: No. I’ve handled several of these pieces of hardware.
FITCH: In what way, if any, do they differ from materials with which we are familiar?
SMITH: As a general thing they differ only in that they are much harder than our materials.
FITCH: What about this particular piece from that UFO near Washington . . . did it differ from conventional materials? Was there anything unusual about it, sir?
SMITH: Well, the story behind it is this: The pilot was chasing a glowing disc about two feet in diameter—
FITCH: Pardon me, sir. But did you say two feet . . . ?
SMITH: That is correct. I was informed that the disc was glowing and was about two feet in diameter. A glowing chunk flew off and the pilot saw it glowing all the way to the ground. He radioed his report and a ground party hurried to the scene. The thing was still glowing when they found it an hour later. The entire piece weighed about a pound. The segment that was loaned to me was about one third of that. It had been sawed off.
FITCH: What did the analysis show?
SMITH: There was iron rust—the thing was in reality a matrix of magnesium orthosilicate. The matrix had great numbers—thousands—of I5-micron spheres scattered through it.
Fitch then questioned Smith about the whereabouts of the sample the U.S. Air Force had loaned him, to which he responded by providing the following very intriguing remarks:
FITCH: You say that you had to return it—did you return it to the Air Force, Mr. Smith?
SMITH: Not the Air Force. Much higher than that.
FITCH: The Central Intelligence Agency?
SMITH: [Chuckles] I’m sorry, gentlemen, but I don’t care to go beyond that point. I can say to you that it went to the hands of a highly classified group. You will have to solve that problem—their identity—for yourselves.
Smith’s insinuations about “a highly classified group” within the United States government that the alleged UFO fragment had been returned to is certainly intriguing, although for more reasons than merely those which are immediately obvious. Another has to do with a memorandum dated November 21, 1950, addressed to the Canadian Controller of Telecommunications, in which Smith discussed inquiries he made at the Canadian Embassy in Washington shortly after acquiring a copy of author Frank Scully’s book Behind the Flying Saucers, an early book on UFOs that recounted a dubious story involving the alleged crash of a flying saucer near Aztec, New Mexico (the incident was later deemed to have been a hoax).
Smith’s 1950 memo included a series of intriguing remarks that eventually became widely discussed in UFO circles, following the rediscovery of the memorandum in the Canadian National Archives decades later. Specifically, Smith stated that:
I made discreet enquiries [sic] through the Canadian Embassy staff in Washington who were able to obtain for me the following information:
The [UFO] matter is the most highly classified subject in the United States Government, rating higher even than the H-bomb.
Flying saucers exist.
Their modus operandi is unknown but concentrated effort is being made by a small group headed by Doctor Vannevar Bush.
The entire matter is considered by the United States authorities to be of tremendous significance.
The reference to Vannevar Bush in the 1950 memorandum is noteworthy, particularly because Bush’s name would later appear in an infamous series of documents sent to filmmaker Jaime Shandera in 1984, which consisted of briefing papers describing “Operation Majestic 12,” an alleged secret U.S. investigation into UFOs and extraterrestrials that began in the aftermath of the supposed crash said to have occurred at Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. The Majestic 12 documents, as they have since become known, also later appeared in British researcher Timothy Good’s book Above Top Secret.
Despite a few intriguing references from over the years like the one in the Smith memorandum, no evidence verifying the existence of “Operation Majestic 12” has ever surfaced. The documents were deemed to be hoaxes in a series of separate investigations, including one conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which concluded the documents were “completely bogus.”

It is worth noting that in the recent AARO report’s summary of the Condon Committee’s findings regarding the alleged 1952 saucer fragment affair, the AARO authors state that Frank Edwards “claimed that Dr. Vannevar Bush, a prominent inventor, defense industry scientist, and founder of the National Science Foundation, led the effort to study the fragment.” The citation given for this in the AARO report, number 49, lists “The Condon Report” (Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects) as the source for this, although a search of both the PDF linked to by the AARO report’s authors, as well as an online text version of the Condon Report, reveals no references to Vannevar Bush. This could represent another error on the part of AARO’s investigators, who may have mistakenly attributed Wilbert Smith’s alleged knowledge that a “concentrated effort is being made by a small group headed by Doctor Vannevar Bush,” as stated in the 1950 memorandum, with details in the Condon Committee’s final report.
THE LETTER FROM REAR ADMIRAL KNOWLES
There is a final addendum to the story of the 1952 Washington saucer fragment, which involves testimony from the man who was allegedly shown the sample of the object while it was in Smith’s possession. As conveyed earlier in the transcript of C.W. Fitch and George Popovitch’s interview with Wilbert Smith, the latter had confirmed his friendship with U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Herbert B. Knowles, an individual with whom Fitch also corresponded about the alleged 1952 UFO incident.
In the March 1986 edition of Just Cause, the newsletter of the FOIA activist group Citizens Against UFO Secrecy (CAUS), a letter provided to the editor, Barry Greenwood, from none other than C.W. Fitch lent additional corroboration to the story of the saucer sample Wilbert Smith claimed the U.S. Air Force had loaned him in the 1950s.
“We must thank long-time UFO investigator C. Wesley Fitch for the following information, which CAUS regards as of great historical interest to our subject,” an entry at the end of the newsletter stated. “Fitch is one of a shrinking group of researchers who knew many of the pioneers of UFOlogy. We regard ourselves as fortunate that he chose to give this impressive little tid-bit to us.”
The item in question had been a series of then-25-year-old correspondences shared with CAUS, revealing “that former Navy Rear Admiral Herbert B. Knowles was involved in the examination of fragments of a UFO shot at over Washington, D.C. in 1952.” As it turned out, in addition to recording the interview where Wilbert Smith acknowledged his friendship with Admiral Knowles, Fitch had also corresponded with Knowles about the saucer fragment Smith claimed to have shown him while on loan from the United States.
As explained in the CAUS newsletter, Fitch, a member of the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) had been told by one of the organization’s board members, the Reverend Albert Baller, about a visit he received from Admiral Knowles (also a board member of NICAP at the time) during which the two men discussed UFOs. Throughout their discussion at Baller’s home, Knowles recounted how he was allowed to examine the purported UFO fragment in Smith’s possession, which he said had been shot off a small glowing disk in 1952.
Fitch managed to track down Admiral Knowles, who at the time (1961) had been living in Eliot, Maine, and wrote to him asking for confirmation as to whether he had indeed examined the alleged saucer fragment. In a response dated August 27, 1961, Knowles wrote back to Fitch, divulging the following intriguing account of his recollections about the visit with Smith:
Yes, I have had a piece of a small disc in my hands. It was shown me by Mr. Wilbert Smith (address given- Ed.). At that time (1952), Mr. Smith was heading the “Flying Saucer” research of the Canadian government and working in very close cooperation with our authorities in Washington, D.C. He is still very much interested in this matter and does independent research. The Canadian Govt. has “officially” abandoned the project.
To the best of my recollection the object was shot down by a plane and seen to fall in the yard of a farmer across the river in Virginia. Upon searching the area several pieces were found, one of which was turned over to Mr . Smith for independent research. In one of his trips down to see me he brought the piece along for my inspection.
It was a chunk of amorphous metal-like structure, brownish in color where broken, with a curved edge indicating the whole thing to have been not over 2′ in diam. The edge was rounded in cross section, perhaps a quarter inch thick and obviously swelled to a considerably greater thickness at the center. The outer surface was smooth but not polished, and at the broken sections there were obviously iron particles and even evidence of iron rust. I would say that the weight was somewhat lighter than if of solid iron, but it was not extremely light.
Mr. Smith told me that a chemical test had been made of the piece at hand, that iron had been found in it but little if anything else could be identified.
Concluding his account, the retired Admiral then asserted his belief that the fragment he examined had belonged to a “remotely-controlled observation disc,” the likes of which have been “seen many times, most often in the vicinity of defense installations.”
A follow-up letter from Knowles, dated October 11, 1961, included a sketch of the alleged UFO fragment, a version of which was redrawn and included in the CAUS newsletter based on faded originals provided to Fitch (see below).

Update:Another interesting piece of this puzzle was brought to our attention by historical researcher Jeff Knox, involving samples purportedly collected in Virginia by Commander Alvin E. Moore in 1952. Like the original account by Donald Keyhoe from 1955, Moore also claimed his sample was analyzed by the Bureau of Standards, referring to it and others in his possession as “stones,” along with associated “materials” that he believed to have been related to UFOs.
In a letter to Condon Committee project coordinator Robert Low dated January 5, 1968, Moore offered to produce a report based on his investigations into UFOs and the materials in his possession. Following a brief response sent to Moore, Low subsequently wrote to Dr. J. Thomas Ratchford at AFOSR Headquarters, expressing doubts about the relevance of Moore’s samples, although noting that there was “a good deal that is strange about Moore’s experience.” Specifically, a UFO report Moore said he sent to Wright-Patterson AFB could not be located by Project Blue Book staff, according to Low, who added that an analysis of the “artifact” Moore found in 1952, “which he says was done by the National Bureau of Standards, was never written down.” Intriguingly, Low then speculated to Ratchford about the possibility that Captain Edward J. Ruppelt, the first director of Project Blue Book, could have “made off with some of the files of sightings,” though conceding that Moore’s sighting report might simply have been lost, or may never have been sent to Blue Book. For further details on this, copies of the exchanges between Moore and Low, as well as Low’s letter to Ratchford, can be read here.
CONCLUSIONS
As a deeper analysis into this alleged 1952 incident has revealed, the DoD’s recent investigations into the matter amounted to little more than a rehashing of the flawed conclusions of the Condon Committee from decades ago, whose investigators, as we have now seen, relied on incorrect data provided in a popular book on UFOs from the 1960s as the basis for their investigations.
Thus, to briefly summarize:
1. AARO’s recent historical report features a short entry on the University of Colorado UFO Project (i.e., the Condon Committee) and its findings, including its investigation into claims made in a 1966 book by Frank Edwards involving a fragment allegedly shot off a UFO by a U.S. Navy aircraft near Washington, D.C., in 1952.
2. While the Condon Committee determined the incident had likely never occurred, the information used as the basis for its investigations had been incorrect details from Edwards’ book, resulting from his probable misreading of information in an earlier 1955 book by author Donald Keyhoe. The Condon Committee’s investigators seemingly did not scrutinize this information before providing it to the U.S. Navy, which, understandably, was unable to verify the erroneous claims.
3. AARO’s report attributes unverified claims involving American defense industry scientist Dr. Vannevar Bush to statements from Frank Edwards in 1966, although his book published that year makes no references to Bush, nor does the Condon Committee’s final report, which AARO cites as its source for this assertion in its recent report. It seems likely that a possible origin for the claims involving Bush may have been a 1950 memorandum attributed to Wilbert Smith, who was allegedly loaned a portion of the UFO fragment by the U.S. Air Force two years later.
4. A recording of a 1961 interview the Ohio-based researcher C.W. Fitch conducted with Smith, partially transcribed in Edwards’ 1966 book, details Smith’s recollections about the purported UFO fragment he was loaned and insinuated that it was returned to a “highly classified group” within the United States government. Additional correspondences between Fitch and Rear Admiral Herbert B. Knowles from 1961, and later supplied to the activist organization CAUS, confirmed that Knowles had been shown the object during a meeting with Smith in 1952, corroborating Smith’s claims of having once had the fragment in his possession. A possible origin for the sample Smith reportedly borrowed and studied had been Commander Alvin Moore, who later approached the Condon Committee about potentially collaborating with the project.
If the AARO report had indeed conducted an “exhaustive analysis” of U.S. government records associated with UAP, one would expect they would have also easily spotted errors in the publicly accessible resources like the Condon Committee report, as well as Frank Edwards’ 1966 account involving the alleged UFO fragment from 1952.
Instead, as indicated by AARO’s contention that “it is not clear” whether the alleged 1952 incident had been associated with claims that the Canadian government was loaned a sample from a UFO, it is hard to see past the fact that the AARO’s investigators performed little more than a cursory examination of the 1952 UFO case… just like the Condon Committee had done decades ago. Thus, one wonders: what else might they have overlooked?
This all may seem inconsequential to some, especially since the present analysis alone cannot “prove” that a fragment was indeed blasted off a small, drone-like UFO near Washington in 1952. However, what this analysis does help to illustrate, taken alongside the numerous other factual errors within AARO’s recent report, is that questions regarding the merit of AARO’s broader historical investigations are indeed warranted. It is also not impossible that, if such problems as those addressed here were taken into further consideration by AARO in advance of the publication of Volume II of its historical report, perhaps they may be better equipped to satisfactorily resolve some of these lingering questions.
Altogether, maybe these decades-old claims about a fragment shot off of a flying saucer, which past studies (and more recent ones) have claimed “were most likely false,” should warrant further attention after all.
And if nothing else, perhaps, given such considerations, we can better understand why many Americans remain skeptical about their government’s latest proclamations regarding the long-reviled subject of UFOs.
America's most famous UFO case is still producing more evidence as scientists and civilians are on a mission to prove that the Roswell crash was not of this world.
The 1947 incident made headlines when the US Army Air Force issued a press release stating that it had recovered debris from a 'flying disc' — only later to reverse course, claiming that the material had really just belonged to a downed weather balloon.
Geologist Frank Kimbler is among the many experts who have challenged the military's official version of what crashed on the outskirts of this New Mexico town, where he has scoured the alleged UFO's crash site with a metal detector since 2010.
Kimbler has since uncovered over 20 unusual scraps of metal material, most no bigger than a fingernail, and has now submitted one uniquely odd metal for testing to the Discovery Channel's new series 'Alien Encounters: Fact or Fiction.'
Testing revealed that the metal was '100-percent pure aluminum,' which experts said was 'compelling evidence' that could prove aliens crashed in the area decades ago.

Kimbler (above with his possible UFO crash sample) had pulled this roughly quarter-inch metal fragment from an ant hill where the bugs had stored it. He submitted the aluminum sample for testing by the new Discovery Channel series
'I was really trying to champion truth throughout,' the new series' cohost, Chrissy Newton, told DailyMail.com, adding that she was not afraid to debunk a few celebrated UFO cases, if that's where the facts led.
'I want to prove that it's identifiable,' Newton said, 'not everyone's gonna like that.'
Nevertheless, Newton found the tests on the pure aluminum mystery metal to be compelling, she said, in part because a former Pentagon UFO investigator has told her that 'pure aluminum has been connected to multiple other UFO crash sites.'
While Newton did not name her Pentagon source, she described them as 'a source formerly from AATIP,' the US military's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, which from 2007 to 2012 had been tasked (in part) with studying UFOs.
'Most Al [aluminum] in use are anodized Al,' Dr Hossain noted, a process that creates a thin layer of aluminum, reacted with oxygen, to seal off the interior aluminum from rust-like degradation caused by reactions with the air. This sample, he said, had 'not been anodized'
Kimbler, who teaches earth sciences and geology at the New Mexico Military Institute, told Newton and her cohost that he had pulled this particular metal fragment, roughly a quarter-inch long, from an ant hill within the Roswell debris field.
Testing ant hills for ant-harvested metals, the geologist noted, has been a common tactic for gold prospectors, mining geologists, and metal detector hobbyists alike.
The insect colonies are known for collecting sturdy and sometimes buried materials for to build their tunnel systems, according to Jim Davis of Utah's geology survey.
'Thanks to the ant's undertakings, prospectors have discovered rich lodes of gold, copper, nickel, turquoise, diamonds, and many other minerals,' Davis said.
Over the years, Kimbler has been open that many of the metal fragments he's recovered from the infamous crash site might have a more earthbound explanation.
'Some of it could be trash, camper trash,' he told KRQE in 2018 after the Bureau of Land Management caught wind of his hobby, 'but some of it could be interesting.'
To confirm what Kimbler actually found, the new Discovery Channel series sent the metal sample for chemical testing via mass spectrometry to independent experts at the Texas-based firm Cerium Labs, which specializes is aluminum metallurgy.
Dr Tom Hossain, chief scientist at Cerium Labs, reported that the aluminum metal fragment was not only unusual for its purity, but it also differed from the typical industrial-grade aluminum used in manufacturing.
'Most Al [aluminum] in use are anodized Al,' Dr Hossain said.
Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a decorative, durable and corrosion-resistant finish known as an anodic oxide.
It protects the metal underneath that finish from corroding in reactions with the oxygen molecules present in both air and water.
The lead author of the Air Force's 1994 Roswell report, Col. Richard Weaver, came forward in 2020 to discuss 'a lot of manipulation going on behind the scenes' of his official inquiry. Above, an image for a 90s television program about one of the many books about the crash, 'The Day after Roswell'
Kimbler, who teaches earth sciences and geology at the New Mexico Military Institute, said he had pulled this particular metal fragment from an ant hill within the Roswell debris field. Above, a sign directing Roswell visitors to the start of a '1947 UFO Crash Site Tour' circa 1997
'This is not an alloy,' Dr Hossain wrote. 'This is pure aluminum.'
Kimbler's find joins a growing body of eyewitness testimony, and even declassified government records, that appear to indicate that the Roswell crash included some form of exotic metal materials.
More than 40 witnesses to the Roswell crash mentioned that a metal-like material from the site could 'remember itself' when folded or physically altered, according to UFO researcher Anthony Bragalia.
The records included pages that repeatedly mention 'advanced technology reports' surrounding Nitinol, described as a shape recovery alloy.
Nitinol had similar properties to the 'memory metal' found near the Roswell crash site, according to Bragalia.
Pages from the FOIA reply indicate that the Pentagon was exploring whether Nitinol could be integrated into the human body for the improvement of health, the researcher wrote at his blog, UFO Explorations.
Today, even the lead author of the Air Force's official and final Roswell report in 1994, Colonel Weaver, has come forward to caution that the current official explanation is inconclusive: 'Did we say it was 100-percent? No way. We didn't say that' (above, the military's first explanation)
'Although much of the reports' details are redacted, what can be gleaned is that these technologies represent a literal quantum leap beyond the properties of all existing material known to man,' Bragalia said.
'Based on the documentation received,' he added, 'it appears that the retrieved debris exhibits other extraordinary capabilities.'
'In addition to 'remembering' their original form when bent or crushed, some of these futuristic materials have the potential to make things invisible, 'compress' electromagnetic energy, and even slow down the speed of light,' Bragalia said.
UFO researcher Tony Bragalia has argued that debris from the Roswell crash was flown to Wright Field in Greene County, Ohio, with Battelle Memorial Institute soon securing a contract to start remaking the UFO's 'memory metal' Nitinol, using Nickel and ultra-high purity Titanium
Today, even the lead author of the Air Force's official 1994 report, Colonel Richard Weaver, that revisited the Roswell case has come forward to caution that the military's current official explanation is by no means conclusive.
'Did we say it was 100-percent? Col. Weaver said on a 2020 podcast. 'No way. We didn't say that.'
Col Weaver also alluded ominously to 'politics and a lot of manipulation going on behind the scenes' of his 1994 inquiry, but added he is still confident in his report's explanation - that a secret military spy balloon was what crashed at Roswell.
Not every case to come to the hosts of Discovery's new 'Alien Encounters' reaches this level of fascinating physical evidence and documentation, however, as the show examines each submitted 'alien encounter' to the same high investigative standards.
Roswell base intel officer Major Jesse Marcel (left) has claimed he was forced to pose before reporters with weather-balloon debris he did not witness at the Roswell UFO crash site. Major Marcel was portrayed by actor Kyle MacLachlan in a 1994 Showtime original TV movie, Roswell

The show's premiere included two other cases: one proved to be explainable and the other appeared to remain a genuine mystery.
Posting up at The Variety, a long-standing local watering hole in Roswell, New Mexico, Newton interviewed multiple self-described UFO and alien 'experiencers' on camera to more thoroughly vet their stories.
Her cohost in this process, occult scholar and author Mitch Horowitz, called Kimbler an 'inspiration' for the local geologist's willingness to ask 'pure questions' and for taking a proactive approach to investigating these unexplained events.
'Along with Mitch, we both state our opinion, if we think it is a UFO or not,' Newton told DailyMail.com. 'But looking at the facts, [sometimes] there's not strong enough data to even make a conclusion.'
Watch trailer for Discovery's 'ALIEN ENCOUNTERS: FACT OR FICTION'
Newton said Horowitz's grounding in more social and cultural aspects of these phenomena complimented her own more scientific approach to their cases.
'And also a female perspective, which I think is nice too,' she said, 'when talking to different experiencers.'
Newton is a partner in the tech news start-up The Debrief and a member of a civilian research group devoted to investigating UFOs, now more accurately known as 'unidentified aerial phenomena' (UAP), the Scientific Coalition of UAP Studies (SCU).
In recent years, the SCU has published a series of data-driven studies linking many military and police-reported UFO accounts to sensitive US nuclear weapons sites.
'I'm always gonna follow the data, you know,' Newton said, 'being a member of the Scientific Coalition of UAP Studies.'
'It's really important for me to understand the data,' she said, 'like anybody else that really loves the science behind it.'

'Alien Encounters: Fact or Fiction' premieres tonight, Wednesday, June 19, at 10PM Eastern and Pacific on the Discovery Channel. Shortly after, the series will be available to stream on Max
Newton said she joined up with the new docuseries' producers in an effort to help bring her years of experience interviewing scientists and academics on her podcast for The Debrief, Rebelliously Curious, to good use investigating more UFO cases.
'I think they came to me because I have interviewed people from all different degrees, obviously academics and scientists with my podcast, and I've been around so many different UAP experiencers' Newton told DailyMail.com.
In episodes to come, 'Alien Encounters' teases that the show will dig into a potential alien abduction experienced be two friends driving in California, an incredible UFO documented by a woman hiking Machu Picchu in Peru, and still more baffling cases.
But Newton emphasized that even those cases she and her colleagues prove to be ordinary are just as important as the cases that could be extraordinary.
'We want to identify UFOs,' Newton said. 'It makes it easier then for us to weed through the other data from UFOs that we can't explain.'
'To identify something and say, 'this is the ISS' [the International Space Station] or 'this is a Starlink satellite,'' she noted, 'that gives us better analytics and tools, better science and technology that other experts can look at.'
'Alien Encounters: Fact or Fiction' premieres tonight Wednesday, June 19 at 10PM ET/PT on the Discovery Channel. Soon after, the series will be streaming on Max.

A set of infamous Nazca 'alien mummies' are set to undergo tests in attempts to finally get to the bottom of what they really are and where they have come from.
The discovery of the unusual mummified corpses with three fingers and elongated skulls in Peru has long been shrouded in mystery with scientists declaring they could be very real and need further examination.
Now those very corpses, one of which is said to look pregnant, are finally being tested in attempts to to prove their authenticity. It's as a UFO expert claims they are proof of extraterrestrial life and could be hybrids.

The unusual figures were discovered in Peru's Nazca region but have stumped the world since gaining significant media attention last year and mass speculation about their origins.
Jaime Maussan, journalist and UFO researcher, says there is a possibility they are alien-human hybrids.
He gained significant attention when presenting the mummies. found in Palpa and Nazca in Peru to the Mexican Government in 2023.

They were purportedly found by local farmers in 2017 and subsequently brought to the attention of researchers but for years they weren't professionally examined.
A team of experts was later put together to change that. The team includes Dr James Caruso, chief medical examiner and coroner of the city and county of Denver, Dr William Rodriguez, a forensic anthropologist and Maryland State medical examiner.

Elsewhere, Dr John McDowell, a retired professor at the University of Colorado and forensic odontologist, rounds off the team
Maussan now claims there is an ongoing legal battle with Peru to get the "mummies" to more advanced labs in the US for further testing which could prove their authenticity once and for all.
A man named Jois Mantilla too said he believed he'd made a breakthrough with the mummies' DNA.

A study at a top university reckons aliens could be visiting Earth to see alien friends that are already blending in, disguised among us without anyone even knowing

UFOs could be coming to Earth so that aliens can visit their pals already living secretly among us, say researchers at one of the world's best universities.
According to the study, conducted at Harvard University, extraterrestrials could very possibly be living as one with humans already - with us none the wiser. It says this could be underground or on the Moon.
As part of the deep dive, the people behind the research also suggest UFOs might be alien spaceships that are visiting to meet their otherworldly friends living here on Earth - expertly disguised among us.
As part of the research paper, they mention the idea that UFOs - also referred to as UAPs - could be spaceships visiting Earth-based "alien friends".

The paper also states that the author is aware of the depth of evidence and theory that supports another extraterrestrial explanation. That is the ''crypto terrestrial” hypothesis (CTH), linking UAP activity to the action of hidden non-human entities.
Put together by Harvard University's Human Flourishing Programme, which researches the factors that contribute to human well-being and flourishing, the paper has since been taken down from ResearchGate, where it was published. But it can still be accessed using Internet Archive.

'I'm a former MoD UFO researcher - and I'm convinced there's alien life out there'
Nick Pope spent two decades working for the UK Ministry of Defence and was tasked with investigating potential defence, national security, and aviation safety implications of UFO
By William Morgan / Reporter - John Mac Ghlionn
A former UK Ministry of Defence employee who spent two decades investigating unidentified flying objects (UFOs) is confident that alienlife exists. Nick Pope's role in the ministry was crucial, as he was tasked with examining the potential defence, national security, and aviation safety implications of UFO sightings.
After leaving government service, Pope became a well-known figure in the media, regularly appearing on television news programmes and documentaries. His expertise has not only educated audiences but also influenced popular culture, as seen by his work as a consultant and spokesperson for various UFO and extra-terrestrial-themed films.
Such is his influence that he's been dubbed "the real-life Fox Mulder," a clear reference to the X-Files, one of the most popular sci-fi shows of the 90s. Pope is convinced that there is life beyond Earth, telling Express US: "I'm a firm believer that there's life 'out there.'".
Pope remains "open-minded about extra-terrestrial visitation." He said: "Because the laws of physics and chemistry seem to be constant in the observable universe, so unless we thought there was something almost literally magic about Earth, there seems to be no good reasons why life shouldn't arise elsewhere."
'There seems to be no good reasons why life shouldn't arise elsewhere'
( Image: Getty Images)
"My view is that there's some intriguing evidence in some of the better quality UFO cases and testimony, but that we don't have definitive proof."
The spread of conspiracy theories and the close association between belief in extra-terrestrial life and a conspiratorial mindset often leads to scepticism.
Nick Pope, with his extensive experience in the field, provides unique insights. The idea that governments are hiding the truth about UFOs is fundamental to many conspiracy theories, and according to Pope, this suspicion isn't entirely without merit.
Historically, governments have indeed been secretive about their UFO investigations, which has only served to ignite speculation and distrust.
This distrust is further fuelled by the occasional release of information that is either incomplete or heavily redacted, resulting in more questions than answers. When the government releases documents with large sections obscured, it inevitably makes people wonder what is being concealed.
This opacity is fertile ground for the growth of conspiracy theories.
Humans have wondered if the government is covering up an alien conspiracy for decades
( Image: Getty Images/iStockphoto)
Moreover, the psychological allure of these theories cannot be underestimated. Belief in a vast conspiracy can provide a sense of order and an explanation for the inexplicable.
In terms of UFOs, it offers a potential answer to whether we are alone in the universe and, if not, why the truth might be kept hidden from us.
The internet and social media have turned up the volume on these concerns, creating spaces where individuals with similar views can echo and bolster their beliefs. Online forums are hotbeds for the quick spread and debate of UFO sightings and theories, often bypassing critical examination, leading to echo chambers ripe for conspiracy theories.
This scepticism isn't solely aimed at governments but also at scientific bodies. When scientists dismiss UFO reports without in-depth probes, it reinforces the idea that there's a concerted effort to hide the truth.
People report seeing thousands of UFOs every year

Nick Pope weighs in: "part of what makes conspiracy theories appealing is likely psychological, and ties in with our search for meaning. In the UK, for example, many people struggled to accept that Princess Diana could be killed in such a trivial way as a car accident; they felt there had to be something more. Yet, the driver had been drinking, the car was traveling on a difficult road at high speed, and she wasn't wearing a seatbelt."
Discussing common misconceptions about conspiracy theories, Pope points out that "the idea that the government is a monolithic, all-powerful entity acting like a supervillain in a James Bond movie," is off the mark. "The government," he continues, "is really just a bunch of people - generally speaking, trying to do the best they can."
The most outrageous theory he's ever encountered?
Without a doubt, it's Project Blue Beam. This theory suggests that there's a secret plan to simulate the Second Coming or an alien invasion using a combination of Hollywood-style special effects, holographic projections, and psychological warfare techniques.
The conspiracy theory posits that the Deep State or the Illuminati would use the ensuing chaos to establish a New World Order. Pope is particularly intrigued by false flag alien invasion theories, especially since he's been accused of being part of such plots!
"The accusation," he notes with a hint of humour, "is that I'm still secretly working for the government and that my role is to help prepare for the operation by using my mainstream news media platform to ramp up the threat narrative about UFOs. It's not true, of course, but that's the thing about conspiracy theories - my denial just generates responses along the lines of 'well he would say that, wouldn't he?'".

UFOs could be due to 'stealth civilization' on Earth as scientists reveal potential bases
Efforts to declassify vast swathes of classified information surrounding UFOs has led to scientists trying to ensure all possible angles and explanations are being considered
Questions over Earth's popularity with UFOs could be explained by claims from a pair of Harvard University boffins they have been hiding on or in Earth all along. The pair claim there could be a one in 10 chance that the secret civilisation could have been “cryptoterrestrial” – meaning hiding among us.
In a new study, they said: “While this notion may sound unlikely on first hearing, many observers are persuaded that it is at least conceivable,” adding, “not least because whole swathes of our planet remain virtually unexplored and uncharted.”
They are pointing to a variety of uninhabited and unexplored areas in our immediate proximity, including deep-ocean trenches and unexplored caves on the dark side of the moon. The paper is set to appear in the Journal of Philosophy and Cosmologythis month, where the scientis say: “If another intelligent species had inhabited Earth (or Mars) long before Homo sapiens, it is possible that we could have no idea”.
Why are some areas UFO hotspots(Image: Facebook)
It comes amid efforts in the US government to declassify vast swathes of information surrounding UFOs, and this paper marks scientists trying to ensure all possible angles and explanations have been considered.
The study identified a number of places on Earth and nearby as areas worth investigating for cryptoterrestrial life’s secret base including isolated parts of Alaska known for UFO sightings and disappearances.
Yonaguni is one such area of interest(Image: Getty Images)
They also point to signs of civilisation that predate known civilisation, including a submerged stone structure at Yonaguni Jima in Japan. The Earth’s interior, which is largely unexplored, was also highlighted as a source of interest.
The team wrote: “The internal structure of Earth is still mostly a mystery,” adding, “For instance, it was recently found that the mantle transition zone (255 to 410 miles underground) acts as a large reservoir of water.”
Why do we have so many UFO sightings? (stock)(Image: Getty Images)
They said it was possible that hundreds of miles under the Earth's surface "another hominid species, or even a branch of Homo sapiens, could have adapted to live underground".

Harvard scientists say aliens could be living on earth in ‘stealth civilisation’
Harvard scientists say aliens could be living on earth in ‘stealth civilisation’
by RYAN PRICE
They could be walking amongst us.
A team of scientists from Harvard and Montana Technological University have published a new report that suggests that aliens could currently be living on earth in deep underground bases and disguising themselves as humans.
In a new research paper, titled ‘The Cryptoterrestrial Hypothesis‘, the scientists estimate that there is a one in 10 chance that the true solution to the UFO mystery could be ‘cryptoterrestrial’ — meaning they belong to an advanced species hiding on Earth.
The work is a collaboration between scientists who have independently tried to make sure that all viable theories are considered for the UFO mystery, which has seen a major effort effort for government declassification in recent months.
Studies conducted on recent activities of intelligent beings could suggest that they “exist in stealth here on Earth (e.g., underground), and/or its near environs (e.g., the Moon), and/or even ‘walking among us’ (e.g., passing as humans).”
The group admit that “while this notion may sound unlikely on first hearing, many observers are persuaded that it is at least conceivable, not least because whole swathes of our planet remain virtually unexplored and uncharted.”
They claim the theory “deserves genuine consideration in a spirit of epistemic humility and openness.”
The article proposes that “if another intelligent species had inhabited Earth (or Mars) long before Homo sapiens, it is possible that we could have no idea.”
Multiple regions on Earth and near Earth were cited in the new study as worthwhile candidates for investigating the chances of a ‘cryptoterrestrial’ species’ secret base.
Remote and sparsely populated regions such as the ‘Alaskan Triange’ and large underwater caves and structures such as Yonaguni Jima in Japan feature as prominent examples.
TAORMINA (Sicily), ITALY – SEPTEMBER 18: Caves are explored during a scuba dive on September 18, 2023 off the coast of Taormina (sicily), Italy.
With 80 percent of our oceans unmapped, it would be a big job to rule the possibility out.
The researchers didn’t stop there, even suggesting that these cryptoterrestrials may take on different, non-human primate or even reptile forms.
Beyond residing deep underground, they even speculate that this mysterious species could even be concealing themselves on the Moon or have mastered the art of blending in as human beings, a folk theory that has inspired countless works of science fiction.
Another explanation, as put forward by controversial Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb, suggests that other ancient civilizations may have lived on “planets like Mars or Earth” but a “billion years apart and hence were not aware of each other.”
Of course, these are all “far-fetched” hypotheses, as the scientists themselves admit, and deserve to be regarded with plenty of skepticism.

Harvard Scientists Say There May Be an Unknown, Technologically Advanced Civilization Hiding on Earth
Harvard Scientists Say There May Be an Unknown, Technologically Advanced Civilization Hiding on Earth
A provocative hypothesis.

What if — stick with us here — an unknown technological civilization is hiding right here on Earth, sheltering in bases deep underground and possibly even emerging with UFOs or disguised as everyday humans?
In a new paper that's bound to raise eyebrows in the scientific community, a team of researchers from Harvard and Montana Technological University speculates that sightings of "Unidentified Anomalous Phemonemona" (UAP) — bureaucracy-speak for UFOs, basically — "may reflect activities of intelligent beings concealed in stealth here on Earth (e.g., underground), and/or its near environs (e.g., the Moon), and/or even 'walking among us' (e.g., passing as humans)."
Yes, that's a direct quote from the paper. Needless to say, the researchers admit, this idea of hidden "crypoterrestrials" is a highly exotic hypothesis that's "likely to be regarded skeptically by most scientists." Nonetheless, they argue, the theory "deserves genuine consideration in a spirit of epistemic humility and openness."
The interest in unexplained sightings of UFOs by military personnel has grown considerably over the past decade or so. This attention grew to a peak last summer, when former Air Force intelligence officer and whistleblower David Grusch testified in front of Congress, claiming that the US had already recovered alien spacecraft as part of a decades-long UFO retrieval program.
That hasn't dissuaded these Harvard researchers, though. In the paper, they suggest a range of possibilities, each more outlandish than the next.
First is that a "remnant form" of an ancient, highly advanced human civilization is still hanging around, observing us. Second is that an intelligent species evolved independently of humans in the distant past, possibly from "intelligent dinosaurs," and is now hiding their presence from us. Third is that these hidden occupants of Earth traveled here from another planet or time period. And fourth — please keep a straight face, everybody — is that these unknown inhabitants of Earth are "less technological than magical," which the researchers liken to "earthbound angels."
UFO sightings of "craft and other phenomena (e.g., 'orbs') appearing to enter/exit potential underground access points, like volcanoes," they write, could be evidence that these cryptoterrestrials may not be drawn to these spots, but actually reside in underground or underwater bases.
The paper quotes former House Representative Mike Gallagher, who suggested last year that one explanation for the UFO sightings might be "an ancient civilization that’s just been hiding here, for all this time, and is suddenly showing itself right now," following Grusch's testimony.
The researchers didn't stop there, even suggesting that these cryptoterrestrials may take on different, non-human primate or even reptile forms.
Beyond residing deep underground, they even speculate that this mysterious species could even be concealing themselves on the Moon or have mastered the art of blending in as human beings, a folk theory that has inspired countless works of science fiction.
Another explanation, as put forward by controversial Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb, suggests that other ancient civilizations may have lived on "planets like Mars or Earth" but a "billion years apart and hence were not aware of each other."
Of course, these are all "far-fetched" hypotheses, as the scientists admit, and deserve to be regarded with plenty of skepticism.
"We entertain them here because some aspects of UAP are strange enough that they seem to call for unconventional explanations," the paper reads.
"It may be exceedingly improbable, but hopefully this paper has shown it should nevertheless be kept on the table as we seek to understand the ongoing empirical mystery of UAP," the researchers conclude.
A retired carpenter named Gerry Battles (65) claimed that he had been abducted by aliens while coming home after Christmas drinks in Pallaskenry (a village in County Limerick, Ireland) on December 26, 2001. The aliens warned him that the Earth would end with an asteroid the size of Munster in 850 years.

In 2016, Gerry told the Limerick Post what had happened to him in 2001. He said that the sky was very clear and beautiful on the night he had been abducted.
“IT was a clear, dry night. It was really crisp and frosty — just beautiful. You could have read a book with the light off the night sky, but I wasn’t drawn by the light of the stars or the moon but by a bright, surgical, white light coming from the other end of the boreen,” he said.
It was around 8 PM, he was returning home from The Seven Sisters Pubs in Kildimo, when a strange light coming from the end of the laneway took him to the spacecraft. He remembered that there were 40 males of different ages upon the board, but they all were in a subdued state, standing shoulder to shoulder like mannequins and not moving.
Gerry Battles told the alien talked with him through telepathy
The man standing next to Gerry was wearing a Columbo-style coat and hat. He felt himself in a state of paralysis and could only move his eyes. “I was only minutes away from my house but it was such a clear and beautiful night that I stopped to gaze at the stars,” he explained.
“They were all male, of different age groups, all standing shoulder to shoulder like mannequins. I remember one man next to me wearing a Columbo-style coat and hat. We were all in a state of paralysis, I could only move my eyes, so I couldn’t see much,” Gerry tells me.
After that, he found himself floating into another chamber but bigger in size with a 360-degree view, and that was the place where he first saw the extraterrestrial. He only remembered seeing the alien’s big cone head and his beautiful, ginormous eyes.
The alien talked to Gerry through telepathy and said to him not to be terrified.
“No, I am not. Should I be?” Gerry asked.
The next thing the alien asked Gerry was what would he like to see. He instantly chose the North Pole. The alien fulfilled his wish and took him to the North Pole within seconds.
He said that people laughed at him when he revealed his fantastical story to them, but he assured them that he had never had any history of mental illness.
The world will be destroyed in 850 years, the alien said.
Gerry claimed the alien had told him they are four million light-years more advanced than humans, and they have been observing us for thousands of years.
On Stephen’s Night, 2001, the alien warned him that an asteroid the size of Munster (a city in Germany) originating from the ’35th Quadrant’ would end our world in 850 years (19 years have passed since the message was conveyed).
“In all that time you have only excelled at two things — global warfare and lying to your own species. You must use force. Be one with the force. Harness the force,” the alien said.
According to Gerry, the alien told him that the government and the banks tell lies to people because they are a hidden agenda and we should not trust them.
“He also forewarned the impending global financial crisis and told me that if we do not change our ways we are going to end up like the dinosaurs.”
Gerry did not remember how he was abducted and had no memory of the incident only until he found his coat he had been wearing on the day of his abduction.
A few weeks later, his coat was found at the rooftop of the regional hospital, and he had no idea how it had got there. After he received his coat, his memory of December 26, 2001, started to come back.
According to him, the aliens use ‘dark matter’ or ‘dark energy’ to hide in the universe. He is hopeful his story will reach the world’s scientific community and prove useful in helping to finally uncover these distant galaxies. “The truth is definitely out there,” he insisted.
The origin of humanity is perhaps the most significant mystery that the world needs to unravel. In mainstream science, the theory of evolution is proposed to provide an explanation for human biological history. However, not many people subscribe to this theory, and there may be much more to the story that we are not yet aware of.
In episode number 2028 of the Joe Rogan podcast, the two current popular figures in UFOlogy, Jeremy Corbell & George Knapp discussed the possibility that humans were genetically engineered by a non-human intelligence for nefarious purposes, and some individuals within the government are aware of this. Knapp also mentions that he knows someone high-ranking who told him that human conflict, specifically war, is sometimes intentionally designed by a malevolent non-human intelligence through manipulation.
During the podcast, George Knapp discussed Bob Lazar and mentioned that Lazar was told while working on “the program” that humans were viewed by extraterrestrials as “containers of souls.” This may sound bizarre and fictional to many people; however, Lazar can be seen saying the exact same thing in his 1989 interviews. (Source)
“These beings conveyed information about the capability of affecting the human brain to anesthetize the human body. This is done without any physical contact from a remote source. For this anesthesia to be accomplished, the brain has to be in a relaxed state, similar to that required for hypnosis. If the brain is subject to any external stimulation, like stimulant drugs or loud music, this manipulation of the nervous system is ineffective.
These beings said that man was the product of externally corrected evolution. They said that man, as a species, had been genetically altered 65 times. They referred to humans as containers. Yet, I don’t know what we’re containers of. As I’m sure you now know, it was impossible for me to corroborate the information in the second section. And obviously, if this information is true, the ramifications are far-reaching and you don’t have to be a nuclear physicist to figure that out.”
In the podcast, Corbell discusses John Lear, who told him that “Aliens see us like a wine and our bodies are containers and our souls are beings matured as like a commodity.” Moreover, according to another bizarre theory that has been covered by researchers like Linda M. Howe, David Icke, etc., these non-human intelligence or extraterrestrials feed on human souls.
“It’s my conclusion over many years that reincarnation is a trap. It’s not that it doesn’t exist although I don’t think it’s quite the same as it’s explained it’s a bit more subtle maybe but I do think it’s a trap, said David Icke.” Whereas Linda said, “The recycling of souls reincarnation is the Machinery of this universe.” (Watch this episode of the Why Files for more context)
Robert Allan Monroe (1915-1995) was a radio broadcasting executive from Indiana known for his research into altered consciousness and founding The Monroe Institute. His 1971 book, “Journeys Out of the Body,” popularized the term “out-of-body experience.”
In 1958, Monroe suffered a series of bizarre events, prompting him to seek medical advice, but doctors found him to be healthy. He decided to dedicate his life to studying altered states of consciousness, eventually developing Hemispheric Synchronization (Hemi-Sync), a technology using binaural beats to harmonize brain hemispheres.
The US government took an interest in Monroe’s work and invited him to join a classified project called the Gateway Process, aimed at using his techniques for remote viewing. According to declassified files, this program aimed to alter consciousness, allowing participants to access intuitive knowledge and other dimensions. (CIA file)
During these experiments, participants sat in darkness wearing headphones and reported encountering interdimensional entities. According to Robert, subjects would often encounter interdimensional entities. Most frequently, reptilian humanoids were witnessed. Viewers referred to the uncanny creatures as ‘the alligators’ due to their crocodilian features. Curiously, Monroe was already quite familiar with the unsettling breed. During countless expeditions, he observed identical saurian creatures. For over 35 years, he gathered insight about these startling beings.
Experiments opened portals to other dimensions where reptilian humanoids reside.

Here is what he uncovered: For millennia, humanity has been controlled and enslaved by nefarious vertebrates known as Reptilians, who operate within the 4th dimension, invisible to most but those who can perceive beyond our limited spectrum of visible light. These parasitic entities thrive on our spiritual lifeforce, referred to as “loosh” by Monroe, and rely on negative and low vibrational energy for their survival. Viewing Earth as a vast farm, they harvest human emotions such as fear, hatred, anxiety, anger, and depression. With intelligence equal to or surpassing that of humans, this elusive lizard-like race considers itself superior and the rulers of mankind.
Robert Monroe pursued transcendental endeavors until he passed away in 1995. His beliefs never changed, and he frequently warned of the sinister spiritual vampires. Gateway’s revolutionary experiments continued throughout the 1980s.
There is a case of a British woman named Samantha McDonald who claimed that she had been repeatedly abducted by reptilians since her first contact in the 1990s, but on every abduction, her memory was wiped by her abductors. In 2014, she was invited to a British talk show named “This Morning,” where she revealed there were two alien species, the Greys and Reptilians, who worked together. (Source)
She said that when she woke up, there were needle marks, scratches, and bruises on her body. “I’ve asked them what they want with me and they said they have come to take me and my family. What they were after was my energy and soul essence. I don’t know why they keep coming back to me. I think it is to do with my energies as I’m into healing and meditation.”
Dr. Ellis Silver, an author of the book “Humans are not from Earth: A Scientific Evaluation of the Evidence,” has a strong belief that life on Earth was sparked by aliens thousands of years ago. He said, “Mankind is supposedly the most highly developed species on the planet, yet is surprisingly unsuited and ill-equipped for Earth’s environment: harmed by sunlight, a strong dislike for naturally occurring foods, ridiculously high rates of chronic disease, and more.” (Source)
Ellis strongly believes that Earth is some kind of galactic jail made by aliens to teach humans a behavior lesson. Similarly, in 2019, members of METI (Messaging Extraterrestrial Intelligence), a San Francisco-based research organization, convened in Paris and suggested that we could all be living in a Galactic Zoo run by aliens.
Florence Raulin Cerceau, who is the METI director as well as an astrobiologist explained: “This puzzle of why we haven’t detected extraterrestrial life has been discussed often,” adding, “But in this workshop’s unique focus, many of the talks tackled a controversial explanation first suggested in the 1970s, called the ‘zoo hypothesis.’” METI president Douglas Vakoch weighed in by saying, “Perhaps extraterrestrials are watching humans on Earth, much like we watch animals in a zoo.” (Source)
MIT researcher John Ball presented the zoo hypothesis in his 1973 paper. He wrote, “Extraterrestrial intelligent life may be almost ubiquitous,” adding, “The apparent failure of such life to interact with us may be understood in terms of the hypothesis that they have set us aside as part of a wilderness area or zoo.” He later wrote in another research paper: “ETI may be discreetly and inconspicuously watching us but not dabbling.”
Additionally, former U.S. Army Counterintelligence Special Agent, UFO advocate, and media personality Luis Elizondo explained his reasoning behind claiming that UFO mysteries have made him “somber.” His speculative ideas are straight out of middle 20th-century science fiction, particularly the so-called “zoo hypothesis” that appeared in a number of stories at that time, imagining that Earth was essentially a zoo run by space aliens.
“What if it turns out that there’s another species that is even higher on that ladder than we are? Do we need the social institutions that we have today, do we need government and religious organizations that we have today, if it turns out that there is something else or someone else that is technologically more advanced and, perhaps from an evolutionary perspective, more advanced? Have we been wasting our time all this time? Or are we doing exactly as we are supposed to be doing?
[What] if it turns out that mankind is in fact just another animal in the zoo? If we saw ourselves as the zookeeper before, maybe we’re just another exhibit inside the zoo? What would that mean to us?
So, when I say ‘somber’ or ‘sobering’, I mean there’s going to come a point in this conversation when we’re going to have to do a lot of reconciling with ourselves, whatever that means, from whatever philosophical background you have. This is going to impact every single one of us. And I think that’s important. Do we find ourselves in a situation where history may have to be rewritten? So that’s what I meant.”

The Mysterious Spanish Humanoid Invasion of 1968
The Mysterious Spanish Humanoid Invasion of 1968
Brent Swancer
One curious aspect of the UFO phenomenon is how many sightings seem to come in waves, with many witnesses coming forward in the same area within a short span of time, for whatever reasons. This is true not only for UFOs, but also for their supposed occupants, andparanormal researcher and author Albert S Rosaleshasuncovered one such wave of encounters from 1968 in Spain and has kindly passed along a selection of bizarre reports from that year. Here we will look at a country that at the time seemed to be besieged by an array of humanoid sightings and high strangeness.
Quite a few of these reports from 1968 seem to have happened right in people’s own homes, the safety of their own rooms not enough to protect them from the strange. One such case involves a man named Ventura Munoz, from Colmenarejo, Madrid, Spain. One night he was drifting off to sleep when he was pulled from its clutches by a “deep voice” calling out to him. As he sat in the gloom looking about for the source of this intrusive voice, a large, dark humanoid shape materialized from the murk before him, with eyes that were “an intense red, very persuasive and perversive.” This mysterious figure apparently offered Munoz anything he desired, but the man refused and began praying. As soon as the praying began, the strange entity simply melted away into the darkness, never to be seen again. What was going on here?
That same year an 8-year-old witness in Malaga, Spain, woke up to quite the strange sight, indeed. There, standing in her bedroom, were three curious small humanoid figures, described as having large heads and rough skin. These entities apparently took her to a craft outside and within it performed an examination on her, during this process implanting some sort of device in her body. There is no word on what happened to her after this, and her case remains a conundrum.
Another 8-year-old known only as “Julia G” was in her bedroom in Huelva, Spain, when she woke to see "a dark-skinned woman that was at the same time extremely luminous” looming over her at the foot of her bed. This enigmatic woman was dressed in a white robe and was rather creepily just standing there smiling at the witness. The scared little girl allegedly hid under her covers, after which she felt something grasp at her several times. When she dared to look again, the figure was gone.
In the summer of that year, a Trinidadian named Gomez Sanchez was at her home in Capuchinos, Malaga, Spain, doing chores along with a young neighbor when they had an experience they would never forget on the indoor patio of the home. As she went about her chores, her attention was suddenly captured by a thin figure with long hair and less than a meter in height, with a disproportionately large head resembling that of a “newborn.” The sight sent her running and screaming as the entity jumped up to run along the rooftop while letting out “a loud howling scream.” A neighbor by the name of Jose Santana Cordoba heard the ruckus and went to the rooftop armed with a large club, where he saw the creature himself but was unable to catch up to it before it disappeared. Dubious police were called in to investigate but found no evidence of such an entity.
One morning in November of 1968, a 6-year-old witness was playing at his house in Barrio del Carmen, Valencia Spain, when he saw perched upon an outside terrace a “strange, winged creature” that looked like it was looking around for something. The witness purportedly approached this bizarre creature out of sheer curiosity, and as he drew closer he could see that the wings were leathery and bat-like and that the thing was devoid of feathers. When he got closer, the creature whirled around to face him, and the witness could see that it had “a semi-human face, and its body was human like also and it was perched on a pair of feet that ended in claws.” This beastly thing then lifted off on its wings and flew off out of sight.
1968 also brought plenty of these sorts of encounters that occurred outdoors. In January of that year, an unnamed witness was at a boarding school in El Escorial, Madrid, Spain and he decided one afternoon to climb a nearby hill with a friend. After reaching the top of the hill, they spied a “solid, dull looking cigar-shaped object,” and although no humanoids were actually sighted, the timing of the incident is interesting. Rosales’ report reads:
They looked at it for a few seconds before they could comment on it and decided it was not a cloud since the edges were crisp and there were some obvious 3 dimensionalities to it. The object was huge since they actually had to move their heads from left to right to see it end to end. Within 15 to 20 seconds the object seemed to shrink in size, tilt and vanish. To their estimation the whole incident lasted not more than 30 seconds. They ran down to the school to report what they saw, and a group of the other children were very excited when they saw the witnesses. To their surprise their excitement was due to the fact that both had been missing for over 2 hours and had missed lunch and the head count. Fortunately for them the Franciscan monk in charge of the school was very sympathetic and offered to call the local US air base (Torrejon) to ask about the phenomenon. The base reported that there had been no scheduled test flights that day but were very interested in a personal report. Both witnesses declined.
The fact that this happened towards the very beginning of the whole humanoid wave is intriguing, indeed. The very next month there was an odd sighting when a huge, hairy creature looking very much like Bigfoot was seen drinking from a pond at El Escorial, Madrid, Spain. The hairy biped was apparently seen by other witnesses in the area at around the same time. In spring of that year, a 14-year-old witness was working on his father’s farm when he saw something odd in the wooded area nearby. The report reads:
The 14-year-old witness was working on his father’s land located in a wooded area when around 11:30 a.m. he saw emerging out of the tree line located next to the Vencherque River at about 200 meters away two shiny metallic ‘objects or figures resembling “metallic robots”, silvery in color and about 2.5 meters in height, which were walking towards the witness with their arms straight down on their sides and without moving their legs. Both entities seemed to move in unison and had square heads and thorax and on each of their hands they were carrying some sort of metallic ‘briefcase’. When they were about 60 meters from the witness he ran home and notified his parents of what he had seen. Immediately the adults searched the area but failed to find anything.
That same spring, a woman in Monte Ulia, near San Sebastian, Basque Country, Spain, saw a bright light descend towards a peach tree in her yard. When the light touched down it disgorged two very tall men, wearing white diving suits and what appeared to be ‘wings’ on their backs. They apparently spoke to the witness in Spanish, saying they were looking “for passage.” The woman lost consciousness and the next morning when she examined the area she found it to be scorched, the tree burnt to a crisp.
Also that spring, four young girls were out collecting flowers in Palmar de Troya, Andalucia, Spain, when witness Ana Garcia Gonzalez saw movement behind a nearby bush. When the girls approached, they saw a human-like figure. When they drew closer they could see that it was a beautiful, ethereal-looking woman with a “round and pink face, large black eyes and wearing a brown mantle.” At the time, the story hit the media, and flocks of people gathered in the area convinced that the girls had seen the Holy Virgin Mother.
That same month, in March of that year, an unnamed witness was taking a walk next to a deserted, ruined castle at San Vicente De Sonsierra, La Rioja, Spain on a very quiet night and had sat down on one of the patio areas almost falling asleep. At around midnight, he snapped out of his sleepy stupor to see standing just 10 meters away three huge humanoid figures with very wide shoulders that were completely covered in black hoods that reached all the way to the ground, and each one carrying what appeared to be a scythe. These enigmatic intruders apparently just stood there staring at the witness, and all three had “large round red eyes that seemed to blink unison as they looked at the witness.” The witness allegedly fled in terror and hid in a nearby grapevine field until morning.
In the summer of that year, a young man visited an area of Palmar De Troya, Utrera, Andalucia, Spain with his family in the hopes of seeing an apparition of the Virgin Mary that had been frequently seen in the vicinity. They joined a group of other people there for the same reason, and Rosales’ report continues:
At sundown, the group waited for something to happen, looking around in all directions. After what seemed to be quite a long time the witness spoke to one of the men present who seemed to be very well informed of the situation and happenings. This man pointed to a nearby wooded hill where the “Virgin” had been seen recently. The man then walked towards the hill and entered the woods, quickly disappearing from the view of the others present. Meanwhile, as the young man watched the man disappear behind some trees, he saw what appeared to be some type of “humanoid” figure, which had suddenly appeared, completely immobile and silent. The strange figure resembled a thick “bowling pin” it didn’t seem to have any depth and was facing towards the group. It lacked any arms or legs or any discernible facial features. It was the height of a man, and it was uniformly shiny, even though it did not illuminate its surroundings. It supports itself on the ground by its bottom base.
Surprised by what he was seeing the young man was unable to move. He yelled at his family asking them if they had seen the strange figure. Apparently, his family and the others had not seen a thing. The others thought he had seen the man who had walked into the woods earlier. Still staring at the strange figure and watched as it disappeared and then reappear again within the wooded area, finally disappearing from sight for good. Perplexed by what he had seen the young man immediately returned with his family to Sevilla. As they drove back on the highway the whole family observed flying above the fields on the side of the road, it looked like a glowing cloud. Even though it seemed to be moving at the same speed of the automobile and going in the same direction it eventually fell back and was lost from sight.
What was going on here? That same summer, in August, a witness by the name of Pedro Pablo Barrios was driving between Betanzos and Villalba, Spain, when he suddenly saw a very luminous object shaped like “two plates glued together” and with an “antenna” rise into the sky near his vehicle. The strange craft rotated and he could see that it had two bright lights on each end and a sort of “H” shaped device with three hanging leg-like protrusions on its belly. The report says:
The craft chases Barrios approaching very close on two occasions. Finally, Barrios stopped and parked on the side of the road to see the object more clearly. A few seconds later the object rose up into the air and vanished. According to the witness during the “chase” he saw several pedestrians on the road who apparently also saw the object and had to “lay flat on the ground” to avoid being struck by the low flying craft.
Although there were no humanoids sighted on this occasion, the timing is once again interesting. In that same August, a rancher by the name of Jose Pio Mayo was bringing back the cattle to the town of Belagua, Navarra, Spain, accompanied by his dogs when he suddenly saw what appeared to be two approaching shadowy figures that seemed to be hovering over the ground in a wingless object that looked sort of like a canoe. The report continues:
Jose watched awestruck as the object and figures approached within 10 meters of his location. According to Jose the occupants of the ‘boat’ saw him and then made a sharp right turn and quickly disappearing into the brush. The whole time his two dogs cowered between his legs. The two figures appeared to have been sitting inside the ‘flying canoe’, side by side. The canoe-like object was about 4-meters long. At no time did the occupants communicate or acknowledge the presence of the witness. The object flew at very low speed the whole time. That night Jose was unable to sleep and the next morning returned to the site to check but did not find anything out of the ordinary. However, his dogs refused to accompany him. One of the dogs had to be put down several days later as it developed a strange malady all over its body, something resembling tumors.
The following week, a local man by the name of Juan Gascon del Toro was returning on his bicycle from hunting on some local pastureland in Aldaya Valencia Spain, and as he turned a corner, he saw about 100 meters away an object which had apparently landed on a field. This object was described as being football-shaped and standing on four metallic legs. What was even stranger than this was what was lurking nearby. The report reads:
Next to the object were some figures which the witness first thought were children. However, as he kept approaching the object and arriving to within 40 meters from it, he stopped and looked directly at the craft. The craft was about 8 meters in diameter and about 3.20 meters in height, its base was about 60cms from the ground and had landed on three leg-like protrusion the same color as the object. On the top of the craft, he could see what resembled a metallic (iron) antenna connected to a shiny protrusion on the top of the craft. He could see a door, about 1.50 x 0.50 m, on which stood two apparently occupants of the craft, standing on a protruding four rung “ladder” (again the same color of the craft). The humanoids were approximately 1.45 m in height, were wearing helmets with dark visors, similar to diver’s and from the area of their mouth protruded a sort of segmented ‘rubber hose’ which connected to their chests, brown in color. On the chests they wore a wide belt. They were dressed in white diving suits; the belt seemed a little ‘dimmer’ than the rest of the suit. They also wore small white boots. The humanoids were completely indifferent to the witness and just observed him without any apparent reaction. Del Toro then boarded his bicycle and took a side route losing sight of the landed craft. The encounter lasted about 1 minute. He heard no sounds during the encounter.
The following month, on September 24, 1968, a local shepherd in Puerto Serrano, Cadiz, Spain, saw a “round luminous object” in a nearby field emitting bright beams of light. As he approached, he apparently heard voices calling his name, but the craft suddenly rose up into the sky and disappeared at great speed. Interestingly, on that very same day a woman in Cedeira La Coruna Spain, saw a bright light and two tall figures walking towards her on a rural road, each one of them with "lights of changing color were visible on their faces.” There would later be found a burned area around 2 meters in diameter wrenched into the grass at the site.
In November of that year, businessman Francisco Donis was driving near Castillo De Alarcon, Cuenca, Spain on his way to Malaga when he received a telepathic message instructing him to go to a certain isolated location. He felt overwhelmingly compelled to go there, and when he reached the designated spot he was surprised to see a disc-shaped object hovering above 3 meters from the road next to the road. The report says of what happened next:
As he watched an opening became visible on the craft and a retractable ladder descended to the ground, on which a human-like figure descended and approached Donis with arms outstretched in an obvious sign of peace. Speaking in perfect Spanish the stranger informed Donis that his name was “Francisco Atienza” and that he was a descendant of extraterrestrials. The stranger was totally human in appearance and wore a one-piece gray diver’s suit. A long conversation ensued between “Atienza” and Donis, which took place inside the witness car. Atienza told Donis that he came from a planet called “Urin”, whose original inhabitants were short, large headed humanoids. However there existed on “Urin” a human colony, which lived under huge glass domes, since the atmosphere of “Urin” was toxic to humans. He further explained that life under these conditions had caused a massive sterilization among the human colony, which had more female members than males.
That same month, just two days later, witness Manuel Trejo was returning home in his car near Zafra, Extremadura, Spain, when suddenly the engine of the car began to falter as his headlights flickered and dimmed. Moments later, he claims that an “invisible shock wave” struck his vehicle hard enough to cause his vehicle to careen from side to side. He managed to keep control of his car, and after rounding a bend he saw standing in the road a humanoid figure wearing a tight-fitting diver’s outfit completely covered in tiny red, green, and blue lights, “like a Christmas tree.” These lights became ever more bright and brilliant as the witness drew closer, but he continued on, passing the figure and letting the strange humanoid fade into the distance. This report would be followed by a wave of UFO sightings in the same area, including a number of which that involved people seeing blurred figures through opaque windows on the craft.
Reports like these would continue all through December of that year until suddenly dropping off, leaving us to wonder about many things. What was it about this place and this year that attracted so much strangeness? One thing that is interesting to note is the wide range of descriptions of these entities. What could this mean? Were these aliens, or perhaps was this a rift opened between realities, with interdimensional interlopers coming through some veil between dimensions to bleed over into ours? Or maybe it was just delusions and overactive imaginations? Whatever the case may be, 1968 was surely a bizarre year in Spain.
