Do aliens exist? Most compelling evidence of alien existence
Do aliens exist? Most compelling evidence of alien existence
Some say it’s obvious we’re not alone, others scorn the very idea and still others yet will hauntingly report their own experiences of alien probings following their casual night-time stroll through the fields of small town America. But with everything from increasingly bizarre reportings from increasingly credible sources, to basic mathematical probability suggesting the likelihood of alien life, these days, scepticism is harder won. Whatever your opinions, you may well find that the following examples have some impact on them.
Ancient evidence
It’s easy enough to write off much recent phenomena, quoting anything from wayward weather balloons to the perpetuation of the legend and UFO sightings in pop culture providing a cohesive image of extra terrestrials for eye witnesses to draw on should someone cry alien. But what’s slightly harder to dismiss is the ancient evidence (i.e. pre the National Enquirer). Enter the ‘The Madonna with Saint Giovannino’, otherwise known as the UFO painting.
"The Madonna with Saint Giovannino" Arcangelo di Jacopo del Sellaio [FAL], via Wikimedia Commons
Created in the 15th century, it depicts the Virgin Mary and in the backdrop of the painting, a man and his dog staring up at a hovering disk-like object that is suspiciously familiar. And this painting isn’t alone either, with everything from ancient cave paintings to Sanskrit Scrolls all depicting alien life. A sighting even crops up in the Bible in The Book of Ezekiel. Either this is compelling evidence, or humanity has a rich tradition of conspiracy theorists.
In the ancient city of Paracas, Peru, archeologists have uncovered mummified remains with elongated skulls dating back to 300 BC.
Statistical data
Back in 1961, astronomer Frank Drake devised an equation by which he could estimate the likelihood of the existence of alien life, taking into account a number of factors including the average number of planets able to support life and the fraction that could go on to support intelligent life. This was then implemented in 2001. The result: statistically, hundreds of thousands of such planets should technically exist.
Unsolved sightings
There are more registered sightings of UFOs than there is the word count here to deal with them and the majority of the time, there’s a thorough debunking accompanying them. But throughout history there have been a number that have been harder to explain away, from the to 1853 sighting by a number of students and professors at the Tennessee College campus, to the oft quoted Stephenville Lights case from 2008, with over 200 witnesses spotting the UFO including three policemen who remained anonymous. Consider these compelling cases unsolved.
Astronauts’ claims
If you’re going to believe any reports of UFOs, you might as well trust those coming from the men who have actually been to space (who usually also come with all their teeth and a P.H.D.). The list of those who have made claims of sightings includes Edgar Mitchell, Cady Coleman and Dr. Brian O’Leary, many also referencing government knowledge of alien existence and cover-ups. Buzz Aldrin has also spoken of his own experience on board the Apollo 11 when they saw something flying alongside them. At first they thought it was the final stage of the detached rocket, until mission control confirmed it was 6000 miles away from them…
Government files
While some US presidents have released classified files on the subject of UFOs, with Jimmy Carter famously describing his own encounter, others still have been denied access to classified information on the subject altogether, Bill Clinton claiming to be among them. This has led many believers to suggest there’s a cover up afoot. Clinton has been consistently vocal on the existence of aliens and it’s worth noting his opinions on an ‘Independence Day’ situation too. You know, just in case…

UFO and Extraterrestrial Visitors: The Truth Is Finally Out There
UFO and Extraterrestrial Visitors: The Truth Is Finally Out There
The truth is absolutely, undeniably, out there and the aliens have undeniably been here. This has been an area that I have taken intrinsic interest in for some time now and it is necessary to believe that not only do aliens exist, but they have visited Earth not once, but multiple times. Now, let’s put to the side that X-Files is my favorite show and let’s leave my love of Tralfamadore out of this discussion. The Fourth Kind is terrifying and not true (not literally true). Also, I will not cite Ancient Aliens from the History Channel.
The preoccupation with extraterrestrials visiting Earth is a fundamental idea that seeks to answer the question, “Are we alone?” A look at the stars says we are not. The sheer number leaves the door wide open that there is living intelligent or not-so-intelligent life out there. Astronomers today use Frank Drake’s equation to determine life in our Milky Way Galaxy alone and though the results are varied; the odds favor other life is indeed out there. And that’s just our galaxy. Humans are always searching for the next bold frontier. It is our nature. The search for extraterrestrial life is a fundamental and necessary search that humans cannot help but undertake. It’s human nature at work.
But did extraterrestrial life forms ever visit Earth? This is a question that can never truly be proven as a definitive “yes” or a definitive “no.” It all comes down to belief in the evidence and whether one “wants to believe” or doesn’t “want to believe.” Skeptics see the evidence and write it off as nonsense, people who believe we are not alone and have been visited see evidence and believe it. A skeptic will always see what’s been proven false and a believer will always see what can’t be disproven.
UFO sightings and alien abductions are the stuff of rednecks and crackpots. This is the stuff of the paranoid and the crazy. But, underneath all the doubt and skepticism lies room for debate. There are multitudes upon multitudes of cases spanning not just 70 or 80 years (since the UFO fascination began in the 1940s) but since the very dawn of civilization itself. Records of extraterrestrial visitors are found in cave art, ancient texts, the bible itself as well as in works of art. Photographs of UFOs and reports of strange phenomena are all out there to be found.
For every case disproven, there is at least one that lies unsolved. The first case I want to point to is perhaps the most well known case of a downed UFO and recovered alien bodies: The Roswell Incident and Area 51. This arguably started the infatuation with UFO sightings, but this case also stands out in the level of government secrecy surrounding the event and the action taken following the event. In July 1947 something crashed in the New Mexico desert outside of Roswell. On July 8th, 1947, the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF) reported capturing a flying saucer and it was widely reported in the newspapers. They transported the wreckage to a top-secret Air Force Base, Area 51. Following the event, Major Jesse Marcel, who was involved with the original clean up, reported that alien bodies were recovered and taken away by the government.
Following the crash of the UFO, Harry S. Truman issued the Majestic-12 Documents. The documents were government protocol for dealing with downed UFOs, in particular the crash at Roswell, as well as handling extraterrestrial entities found in the wreckage. A briefing to the incoming President Eisenhower included a documents list of all persons associated with the Majestic-12 report as well as a briefing on the recovered aircraft from Roswell and one other recovered craft found in northern Mexico in December 1950. The Majestic-12 documents led to the now-decommissioned Project Blue Book that was the United States Air Force’s official investigation into any and all UFOs, downed UFOs and extraterrestrial entities.Project Blue Book was reviewed by an ad hoc committee headed by Carl Sagan. The purpose was to put the documents under a more rigorous scientific investigation. The conclusion was that all the unidentified flying objects, whatever they were, did not behave in a manner that threatened national security. The review did not discredit the documents.

The conclusion was that all the unidentified flying objects, whatever they were, did not behave in a manner that threatened national security. The review did not discredit the documents.
The official documents and government memos concerning the UFO phenomena and extraterrestrial visitors to Earth points to an attempt to discredit public accounts of such things while placing serious emphasis on research and dealing with encounters. Cover-ups such as this have been going on in the United States government for years; even Bill Clinton showed an interest. There is a truth that is being concealed in plain sight. Does that sound too paranoid? Sorry.
The Phoenix Lights was a phenomenon that was witnessed by hundreds of people in the Arizona skies. It was witnessed and addressed by the governor of Arizona and it is an extremely well documented case. The most well-known and documented occurrence of the lights occurred on March 13, 1997. Hundreds of people saw what has been referred to as a “parade” in the skies over the Phoenix area. Between 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm, hundreds of people witnessed lights pass over the state in a triangular formation in the space of 300 miles. The case for many was undeniable proof of extraterrestrial visitors.
A case such as this is important because it is not just the word of one person, but it is the word of hundreds of first-hand accounts. Regular people living in a metropolitan area witnessed a triangular shaped object slowly move over the state. Just this past March, another case of lights over Phoenix were seen and documented with no official explanation as to what they were. It is a bizarre case and it is certainly one that deserves careful consideration before dismissing it as weather balloons or flares.
It is also worth mentioning that extraterrestrials have been visiting our planet and interacting with humans for thousands of years. The “ancient astronaut” theory points to evidence of remarkable human achievement that could seemingly not be done without the aid of an advanced entity. The Nazca Lines in Peru are hundreds of gigantic carvings in the ground that portray various animals and designs that are only visible from the sky. The freestanding stones at Stonehenge, the pyramids, and the statues at Easter Island all seem to be larger-than-life creations given the technology available when they were created. Theorists claim that extraterrestrials had a hand in the creation of these ancient structures and they were created in a sort of homage to the extraterrestrials.
The bible and other ancient texts seem to point to aliens visiting Earth. The Ramayana from the 4th Century BCE in India speaks of intricate flying ships called Vimanas. The text, though very old, does seem to speak with an air of knowledge regarding machines that are not supposed to be seen on Earth for another 2,000 years: “O royal skilled engineer, construct sea-boats, propelled on water by our/experts, and airplanes, moving and flying upward, after the clouds that reside/in the mid-region, that fly as the boats move on the sea, that fly high over/and below the watery clouds. Be thou, thereby, prosperous in this world/created by the Omnipresent God, and flier in both air and lightening.” Yajur Veda 10.19
The bible also makes references that seem to point to extraterrestrial visitors in the Old Testament and the Vatican has come out in support of the idea of extraterrestrial life. What secrets does the Vatican Library and Conservatory hold? We may never know.
Skull-elongation in ancient Egypt is also seen as a means to emulate extraterrestrial visitors or they are said to have been alien-human hybrids living and breeding here on Earth with humans. According to alien abduction accounts, the “grays” (the conventional image of an alien when you think of one) are often depicted as having an elongated skull and large eyes. One of the most well-documented and researched abduction cases is the case of Betty and Barney Hill in New Hampshire in 1961. The Hills were among the first to offer a description of alien visitors in this way. The Hill’s case is perhaps the most well-known and well-researched abduction case. It is a notable place to begin research into alien abductions and there is a great deal of evidence that lends truth to the Hill’s claims; frozen time, reoccurring dreams, hypnotism and all.
The truth of it all is that there is so much out there to look through and so much to include in this discussion. There is plenty to bring up when making the case for extraterrestrial contact on Earth and it takes a certain interest in the subject to want to look further. There are truths being kept that still need to be found and understood.
Abduction cases, ancient marvels, UFO sightings and extraterrestrial encounters are happening everyday. It is simply human nature to take these into account and wonder, “Are we alone?” The next great frontier is always at the forefront of our endeavors and humans have been forging ahead at the top of the pyramid for a long time now. It is a natural wonder to feel that there is something out there watching us and waiting, slightly ahead of the curve for us to come around. The truth is out there and the evidence is here. Let human nature do its thing and find it.

CIA Released Hundreds UFO Files After New Season X-Files
CIA Released Hundreds UFO Files After New Season X-Files
New series of X-Files was kicked off in the United States. The US spy agency CIA decided at the same time to release hundreds of UFO documents on the investigation into UFOs.
The CIA’s website states that the pieces are mainly from the forties and fifties. “We decided to bring some documents to the attention, both skeptics and believers will find this interesting”, says the espionage service.
The CIA announced the revelation of the UFO documents on Twitter:
The CIA declassified hundreds of documents in 1978 detailing the Agency’s investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). The documents date primarily from the late 1940s and 1950s.
To help navigate the vast amount of data contained in our FOIA UFO collection, we’ve decided to highlight a few documents both skeptics and believers will find interesting. Below you will find five documents we think X-Files character Agent Fox Mulder would love to use to try and persuade others of the existence of extraterrestrial activity. We also pulled five documents we think his skeptical partner, Agent Dana Scully, could use to prove there is a scientific explanation for UFO sightings.
The truth is out there; click on the links to find it.
Top 5 CIA Documents Mulder Would Love To Get His Hands On:
Southbound on a lone desert highway, police officer Lonnie Zamora was in pursuit of a speeding car outside the town of Socorro, New Mexico, when he was startled by a loud roar! Seconds later, he saw a large flame rise from the ground and pierce the sky above a remote patch of desert southwest of the highway. Fearing a nearby dynamite shack might have exploded, Zamora let the speeding car go, turned right, and drove down a bumpy gravel road that ran alongside the shack.
Zamora’s cruiser clunked along the rocky road until he came upon a steep hill. Rising from behind the hill was a smokeless fire that glowed in a funnel of blue and orange tinted flames. The hill obscured the origin of the flames, so Zamora attempted to drive up it. His cruiser’s tires slipped and swayed on the loose gravel, but after three attempts, Zamora finally made it to the top.
A shiny object, the size of a sedan, sparkled in the late afternoon sunshine about 150-200 yards from where Zamora was perched on the hilltop. At first glance, he thought it was a car overturned in an arroyo (dry creek bed), but when he drove closer, it appeared to be aluminum in color, not chrome, and oval-shaped like a football.
Zamora drove toward the object, along the hill’s crest, for about 50 feet and then stopped the car. He radioed back to the sheriff’s office that he would be busy checking on a wreck “down in the arroyo,” and then he descended on foot down the hill toward the object.
Roooaaarrr! Zamora was startled again by a very loud rumble, not exactly like a blast but also not steady like a jet engine. It started at a low frequency, with the pitch slowly rising. The flame appeared to be coming from the underside of the object, glowing light blue on top and orange at the bottom. Zamora panicked, afraid the object was about to blow.
Zamora sprinted to his car, hit his leg on the fender, and crashed to the ground. He got up, ran another 25 feet or so, and when he looked back again, he saw the object begin to rise.He ran to take cover but turned back to look at the object as he fled. He noticed a red symbol on the side, shaped like a point that was about 2 inches high and 2 inches wide. The object was smooth, a shiny white aluminum, with no visible windows or doors. There appeared to be two metal legs, slanted outward, supporting it.
It rose to the level of the car, then higher, about 20 to 25 feet in the air.
Zamora ran another 50 feet from his car, just over the edge of the hill, and ducked. Kneeling as close to the ground as he could, he covered his face with his arms for protection. Suddenly, the roar stopped. In the uneasy silence, Zamora lifted his head and looked.
The object sped away from him, toward the southwest, appearing to go in a straight line at about 10-15 feet off the ground. It cleared the eight foot tall dynamite shack by about three feet and then continued in a southwesterly direction, until it went over the high desert mountains and disappeared…
Hector Quintanilla, the last chief officer of the US Air Force’s famous UFO investigation program, Project BLUE BOOK, was in charge of the Zamora case. His team was convinced that Zamora was telling the truth, and despite an extremely thorough investigation, they were unable to locate the object or its origins. In an article for Studies in Intelligence called, “The Investigation of UFO’s,” Quintanilla says that the Zamora sighting is “the best-documented case on record.” It remains unsolved.
Project BLUE BOOK was based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio. Between 1947 and 1969, the Air Force recorded 12,618 sightings of strange phenomena — 701 of which remain “unidentified” like the Zamora case. Although the CIA was not directly affiliated with Project BLUE BOOK, the Agency did play a large role in investigating UFOs in the late 1940s and early 1950s, which led to the creation of several studies, panels, and programs. Former CIA Chief Historian, Gerald K. Haines, wrote an in-depth article looking at the Agency’s role in studying the UFO phenomenon for Studies in Intelligence. In his article, “CIA’s Role in the Study of UFOs, 1947-90,” Haines says that “while the Agency’s concern over UFOs was substantial until the early 1950s, CIA has since paid only limited and peripheral attention to the phenomena.”
With over 20 years of investigations, from the late 1940s until Project BLUE BOOK’s termination in 1969, the CIA and USAF have learned a thing or two about how to investigate a UFO sighting. While most government officials and scientists now dismiss flying saucer reports as a quaint relic of the 1950s and 1960s, there’s still a lot that can be learned from the history and methodology of “flying saucer intelligence.”
10 Tips When Investigating a Flying Saucer:
1. Establish a Group To Investigate and Evaluate Sightings
Before December 1947, there was no specific organization tasked with the responsibility for investigating and evaluating UFO sightings. There were no standards on how to evaluate reports coming in, nor were there any measurable data points or results from controlled experiment for comparison against reported sightings.
To end the confusion, head of the Air Force Technical Service Command, General Nathan Twining, established Project SIGN (initially named Project SAUCER) in 1948 to collect, collate, evaluate, and distribute within the government all information relating to such sightings, on the premise that UFOs might be real (although not necessarily extraterrestrial) and of national security concern. Project SIGN eventually gave way to Project GRUDGE, which finally turned into Project BLUE BOOK in 1952.
2. Determine the Objectives of Your Investigation
The CIA’s concern over UFOs was substantial until the early 1950s because of the potential threat to national security from these unidentified flying objects. Most officials did not believe the sightings were extraterrestrial in origin; they were instead concerned the UFOs might be new Soviet weapons.
The Project BLUE BOOK team, according to Quintanilla, defined three main objectives for their investigations:
To determine if UFO phenomena present a threat to the security of the US;
To determine if UFO phenomena exhibit any technological advances which could be channeled into US research and development; and
To explain or identify the stimuli which caused the observer to report a UFO.
Although BLUE BOOK, like previous investigative projects on the topic, did not rule out the possibility of extraterrestrial phenomena, their research and investigations focused primarily on national security implications, especially possible Soviet technological advancements.
3. Consult With Experts
Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, various projects, panels, and other studies were led or sponsored by the US government to research the UFO phenomenon. This includes the CIA-sponsored 1953 Scientific Advisory Panel on Unidentified Flying Objects, also known as the “Robertson Panel.” It was named after the noted physicist H.P. Robertson from the California Institute of Technology, who helped put together the distinguished panel of nonmilitary scientists to study the UFO issue.
Project BLUE BOOK also frequently consulted with outside experts, including: astrophysicists, Federal Aviation officials, pilots, the US Weather Bureau, local weather stations, academics, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, NASA, Kodak (for photo analysis), and various laboratories (for physical specimens). Even the famous astronomer Carl Sagan took part in a panel to review Project BLUE BOOK’s findings in the mid-1960s. The report from that panel concluded that “no UFO case which represented technological or scientific advances outside of a terrestrial framework” had been found, but the committee did recommend that UFOs be studied intensively to settle the issue once and for all.
4. Create a Reporting System To Organize Incoming Cases
The US Air Force’s Air Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC) developed questionnaires to be used when taking reports of possible UFO sightings, which were used throughout the duration of Project BLUE BOOK. The forms were used to provide the investigators enough information to determine what the unknown phenomenon most likely was. The duration of the sighting, the date, time, location, or position in the sky, weather conditions, and the manner of appearance or disappearance are essential clues for investigators evaluating reported UFO sightings.
According to Quintanilla, “a sighting is considered unidentified when a report apparently contains all the data necessary to suggest a valid hypothesis, but its description cannot be correlated with any known object or phenomenon.”Project BLUE BOOK categorized sightings according to what the team suspected they were attributable to: Astronomical (including bright stars, planets, comets, fireballs, meteors, and auroral streamers); Aircraft(propeller aircraft, jet aircraft, refueling missions, photo aircraft, advertising aircraft, helicopters); Balloons; Satellites; Other (including missiles, reflections, mirages, searchlights, birds, kites, spurious radar indications, hoaxes, fireworks, and flares); Insufficient Data; and finally, Unidentified.
5. Eliminate False Positives
Eliminate each of the known and probable causes of UFO sightings, leaving a small portion of “unexplained” cases to focus on. By ruling out common explanations, investigators can focus on the truly mysterious cases.
Some common explanations for UFO sightings discovered by early investigations included: misidentified aircrafts (the U-2, A-12, and SR-71 flights accounted for more than half of all UFO reports from the late 1950s and most of the 1960s); celestial events; mass hysteria and hallucination; “war hysteria;” “midsummer madness;” hoaxes; publicity stunts; and the misinterpretation of known objects.
Even history can shed some light. An interesting citation found by the 1953 Robertson Panel noted that some sightings had been attributed to an older phenomenon – “Foo Fighters” – that pre-dated the modern concept of UFOs: “These were unexplained phenomena sighted by aircraft pilots during World War II in both European and Far East theaters of operation wherein ‘balls of light’ would fly near or with the aircraft and maneuver rapidly. They were believed to be electrostatic (similar to St. Elmo’s fire) or electromagnetic phenomena… but their exact cause or nature was never defined. If the term ‘flying saucers’ had been popular in 1943-1945, these objects would have been so labeled.”
6. Develop Methodology To Identify Common Aircraft and Other Aerial Phenomena Often Mistaken for UFOs
Because of the significant likelihood a common (or secret military) aircraft could be mistaken for a UFO, it’s important to know the characteristics of different types of aircraft and aerial phenomenon to evaluate against each sighting. To help investigators go through the troves of reports coming in, Project BLUE BOOK developed a methodology to determine if the UFO sighting could likely be attributable to a known aircraft or aerial phenomenon. They wrote up detailed descriptions characterizing each type of aircraft or astronomical phenomenon, including how it might be mistaken for a UFO, to help investigators evaluate the incoming reports.
7. Examine Witness Documentation
Any photographs, videos, or audio recordings can be immensely helpful in evaluating a reported UFO sighting.
A famous case examined by the Robertson Panel was the “Tremonton, Utah Sighting” of 1952, where a couple and two children traveling cross-country on State Highway 30 outside of Tremonton saw what appeared to be 10-12 bright shining objects moving westward in the sky in a rough formation. The husband was able to capture some of the objects on film.
The case was considered significant because of the “excellent documentary evidence in the form of Kodachrome motion picture films (about 1600 frames).” The Panel examined the film, case history, ATIC’s interpretation, and received a briefing from representatives of the USN Photo Interpretation Laboratory on their analysis of the film. The laboratory believed the objects were not birds, balloons, aircraft, or reflections, and therefore had to be “self-luminous.” The panel disagreed with the assessment that the objects were self-luminous, believing that if a controlled experiment was conducted, a terrestrial explanation for the sighting would be confirmed.
8. Conduct Controlled Experiments
As suggested by the Robertson Panel for investigating the Tremonton, Utah sighting (mentioned in tip #7), controlled experiments might be required to try and replicate the unknown phenomena. In the Tremonton case, the Panel suggested an experiment where scientists would photograph “pillow balloons” at different distances under similar weather conditions at the site. They believed such an experiment could help dispel the “self-luminous” theory about the objects in the film. Unfortunately, in this case, the cost of conducting such an experiment made the idea unfeasible.
9. Gather and Test Physical and Forensic Evidence
In the Zamora case (from the introduction), Quintanilla contends that during the course of the investigation and immediately thereafter, “everything that was humanly possible to verify was checked.” This included bringing in Geiger counters from Kirtland Air Force Base to test for radiation in the landing area and sending soil samples to the Air Force Materials Laboratory. “The soil analysis disclosed no foreign material. Radiation was normal for the ‘tracks’ and surrounding area. Laboratory analysis of the burned brush showed no chemicals that could have been propellant residue,” according to Quintanilla. “The findings were all together negative.” No known explanation could be found for the mysterious event.
10. Discourage False Reporting
The Robertson Panel found that the Air Force had “instituted a fine channel for receiving reports of nearly anything anyone sees in the sky and fails to understand.” This is a classic example of needing to separate the “signal from the noise.” If you have too many false or junk reports, it becomes increasingly difficult to find the few good ones worthy of investigation or attention.
The CIA in the early 1950s was concerned that because of the tense Cold War situation and increased Soviet capabilities, the Soviets could use UFO reports to ignite mass panic and hysteria. Even worse, the Soviets could use UFO sightings to overload the US air warning system so that it could not distinguish real targets from supposed UFOs.
In order to lessen the amount of false-positive reports, the Robertson Panel suggested educating the military, researchers, and even the public on how to identify objects or phenomena commonly mistaken for UFOs. For example, they recommended training enlisted, command, and research personnel on how to properly recognize unusually illuminated objects (like balloons or aircraft reflections), as well as natural phenomena (such as meteors, fireballs, mirages, or noctilucent “night” clouds). By knowing how to correctly recognize objects that were commonly mistaken for UFOs, investigators could quickly eliminate false reports and focus on identifying those sightings which remained unexplained.

The Iranian UFO Chaser – 1976 Tehran UFO Incident
The Iranian UFO Chaser – 1976 Tehran UFO Incident
In 2013, I sent my first FOIA request for any information and documents pertaining to to the 1976 Tehran UFO incident. This event remains one of the most well-documented and fascinating UFO encounters ever reported by military pilots and witnesses. After receiving a response to my request, I wrote the following article to give everyone an idea of just exactly what I was able to pull from the documents I received, and testimony from several witnesses, including Major Parviz Jafari of the Iranian Air Force. I hope this will give you some insight into this deeply dramatic event.
FOIA Request Answered!
It was approximately 12:30 am on September 19th, 1976, when the Imperial Iranian Air Force received a phone call at their main command post in the city of Tehran. A civilian from the city district of Sheridan reported seeing a large, bright light emanating in the night sky. The call made several connections and landed in the ear of General Yousefi, Assistant Deputy Commander of operations. His first reaction was to phone the Mehrabad International Airport to see if they had anything flying in that vicinity. They reported that they had nothing in the skies whatsoever. Yousefi then assumed that perhaps the civilian was seeing a bright star or even the planet, Venus, which was quite visible at that time of year. But when Yousefi went out to investigate the object himself, he had no trouble seeing it, and concluded that it was much too large and close to be a star or planet. This is when he made the decision to send a fighter jet into the air to intercept and investigate further.
Approximately 175 miles west of Tehran, an F-4 Phantom Fighter jet was deployed from Shahrokhi Air Force Base. Piloted by Captain Mohammad Reza Azizkhani, the jet made it’s way towards the object. Azizkhani reported that the object was of such brilliance that it could be seen from almost 70 miles away. Whatever it was, it was very, very large. At about 25 nautical miles from the object, Azizkhani’s instruments began to malfunction. Communication capabilities were also dropped. At this point, the confused and scared pilot had no choice but to abort the interception, heading back to base. As he distanced himself from the object, his instruments began to function once again, but he didn’t want to take any chances. He headed back to base to explain what had happened to his superiors.
In response to Azizkhani’s experience, a second F-4 jet was scrambled to see if it was merely the original plane that somehow malfunctioned, rather than having anything to do with the unknown object. Piloted by Lieutenant Parviz Jafari, he headed toward the object and was able to acquire a radar lock on it. Jafari would later report that the object’s radar signature was massive, comparable to that of a Boeing 707 aircraft. As he closed in on the object, it began to move. Clearly, it was aware of the interception occurring. Jafari tried to estimate the size of the object, but just like Azizkhani’s observation earlier, it was just too bright to make a fair estimate. Jafari, however, was able to make out different colored lights alternating in blinking succession. Blues, red, and orange were rapidly flashing all at once. Jafari continued south, tailing the object. That is when things got interesting.
Lt. Parviz Jafar
Suddenly, a smaller object detached from the original, and began a quick advance towards Jafari’s F-4. Defense-mode kicked in as he believed this was an attack. Jafari attempted to launch an AIM-9 sidewinder missile at the object, but just like before, his instruments malfunctioned. All weapon and communication capabilities were lost. Jafari would later state that he even tried to eject from the aircraft at this point, but even that had malfunctioned. He quickly turned the F-4 and made a negative G dive. The smaller object dropped behind him and followed him for a moment, making it clear that it was now in control. Jafari nervously tried to outmaneuver the object to no avail. After a few nautical miles of cat and mouse, the smaller object would eventually break off and reunite with the larger object.
Jafari, having absolutely no idea what he was dealing with, retreated to assess the situation. The further he distanced himself from the object, his instruments and communications returned. He would relay that another object was soon detaching from the original. It made a rapid descent towards the ground. Jafari believed that at that speed, whatever it was would explode upon impact, but stated that whatever it was, it gently landed on a bed of rocks as Jafari severely decreased his altitude to personally witness this. Whatever it was, it landed near Rey Oil Refinery just on the outskirts of Iran, in the city of Mehrabad. Civilian airliners in the area also reported instrument failure in the same area where the object had landed.
Jafari, making one last attempt to investigate this extremely terrifying and extraordinary encounter, witnessed one more object, cylindrical in shape, buzzing in the area. Mehrabad International Airport was notified, and responded saying that they had no aircraft in flight at the time. However, flight tower personnel were able to corroborate Jafari’s sighting of this last object, stating that it even overflow the towers, all of their electrical equipment going down for a short period of time. Soon, this object made way back to the primary object, a large flash of light occurred, and it disappeared out of sight.
The following morning, the F-4 pilots went out, by helicopter, to gather any evidence of the smaller landed object. They determined that it has landed near a dry lake bed, but when they circled the area to survey, no visible evidence could be found. They did, however, receive a high amount of beeps from their helicopter meters, beeping most loudly as they approached a nearby house. They landed the helicopter and decided to question the residents to see if they had seen or experienced anything at the time of the incident. They didn’t have much to say, but did admit that a loud noise had occurred and bright light filled the area like a large burst of lightning. This would ultimately be the end of the investigation for Jafari and the other pilots, as they were specifically told to move on as if it had never occurred.
Jafari, 3rd in from the left in the middle row. 2007 National Press Club Event.
This didn’t stop them from going public, however, and in 2007, Jafari would stand before the National Press Club in Washington D.C., to recount his extremely detailed and unbelievable story before other very high ranked officials and military personnel. The Tehran incident garnered a lot of buzz both in the Middle East and clearly in the United States as well. Soon after the incident, a detailed four page report was recorded by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency and was distributed to no less than the White House, NSA, and CIA. Whatever happened in the skies that day in Tehran was a dogfight of perhaps interplanetary proportions. It was one of few cases that stretched national borders, and remains one of the most well documented and perhaps, most dangerous threats to the security of our skies.

THE BOOK OF GIANTS FOUND AMID THE DEAD SEA SCROLLS AND THE DESTRUCTION OF THE NEPHILIM
THE BOOK OF GIANTS FOUND AMID THE DEAD SEA SCROLLS AND THE DESTRUCTION OF THE NEPHILIM
More than 60 years ago, excavations at the Qumran Caves revealed almost one thousand ancient scrolls that offered important glimpses into humanity’s past.
Archaeologists were stumped to find one unusual text among these, a scroll that offers clues regarding the demise of the Nephilim. It is called The Book of Giants. The Bible makes several references to the Nephilim and most of them can be found in the book of Genesis.
The bulk of information pertaining to these giants of old come from the apocryphal Book of Enoch. This ancient Jewish religious work is attributed to Noah’s great-grandfather, although some scholars date parts of it to around 300 BC. Enoch is a puzzling character, to say the least.
The book of Genesis tells us he lived on Earth for 365 years, before being taken by God; “he walked with God: and he was no more; for God took him.” During his time down here, our planet was also inhabited by ‘angels’ who interacted freely with humans, eventually interbreeding with the “daughters of man” and giving birth to a race of unnaturally strong and giant hybrids called the Nephilim.
The origin of the word “Nephilim”isn’t fully understood but scholars have proposed several etymologies: “the fallen”, “apostates”, or “those that cause others to fall down.” Regardless of their name, the Nephilim have always been a synonym for giants.
The Book of Giants found in the Qumran Caves offer a perspective that is different from that of the Book of Enoch.
Although incomplete, the scroll fragments paint a grim picture: the Nephilim become aware that, as a result of their violent and deviant ways, they face imminent destruction—and that scares them enough to ask Enoch to speak on their behalf in front of God.
The text begins by detailing how the Nephilim plagued the Earth and all that lived on it. But once they all start receiving prophetic dreams of doom, fear seeps into their hearts.
The first one to have these dreams was Mahway, the titan son of the angel Barakel. In his dream, he saw a tablet being submerged in water. When the tabled emerges, all but three names have been washed away. This symbolizes the Flood and subsequent destruction of all but Noah’s sons.
At the time, this fact had not become obvious to the Nephilim so they debated the meaning of Mahway’s dream, but were unsuccessful in interpreting the signs.
Soon after, two more giants, Ohya and Hahya, the sons of the fallen angel Shemyaza, begin having similar dreams; they dreamed of a tree being uprooted except for three of its roots.
Following this, the rest of the group of giants began having apocalyptic dreams: Thereupon two of them had dreams and the sleep of their eye fled from them, and they arose and came to […and told] their dreams, and said in the assembly of [their comrades] the monsters […In] my dream I was watching this very night [and there was a garden…] gardeners and they were watering […two hundred trees and] large shoots came out of their root […] all the water, and the fire burned all [the garden…] They found the giants to tell them the dream…” The giants now realize the prophetic nature of their dreams and seek help from Enoch. Unfortunately, Enoch had already disappeared from the face of the Earth so the Nephilim elected one of their members to undertake a cosmic journey in order to find him. [Mahway] mounted up in the air like strong winds, and flew with his hands like eagles […he left behind] the inhabited world and passed over Desolation, the great desert […]and Enoch saw him and hailed him, and Mahway said to him […] hither and thither a second time to Mahway […]The giants await your words, and all the monsters of the earth. If […]has been carried […] from the days of […]their […] and they would be added […] we would know from you their meaning […] two hundred trees that from heaven came down…”
Unfortunately, parts of the scrolls were damaged beyond repair but the general direction of the text is obvious.
One of the Nephilim traveled outside of Earth in search of Enoch and his vision interpreting powers. The text becomes very interesting if we substitute a few terms and regard it not as an allegorical account, but the description of a real event whose meaning became muddled over time.
If we consider flying “with his hands like eagles” a metaphor, can we hypothesize that Mahway took off from Earth in a space ship?
In this case, does “Desolation, the great desert” refer to interstellar space?
It depends on how far we’re willing to interpret a fragmentary, 2,000 year-old scroll but ancient alien theorists do more than just take it at face value.
Enoch sends Mahway back where he came from, promising him he will speak to God on their behalf.
Unfortunately for the Nephilim, the tablets Enoch sent them as a response did not bring good news: The scribe Enoch […] a copy of the second tablet that [Enoch] sent in the very hand of Enoch the noted scribe […In the name of God the great] and holy one, to Shemyaza and all [his companions…] Let it be known to you that not […] and the things you have done, and that your wives […] they and their sons and the wives of [their sons] by your licentiousness on the earth, and there has been upon you […and the land is crying out] and complaining about you and the deeds of your children […] the harm that you have done to it. […] Until Raphael arrives, behold, destruction [is coming, a great flood, and it will destroy all living things] and whatever is in the deserts and the seas. And the meaning of the matter […] upon you for evil. But now, loosen the bonds bi[nding you to evil…] and pray.”
Whether they prayed or not, the text cannot say. But they don’t appear to be here anymore, once again proving the effectiveness of a global flood.
Below is a trailer of "Attach on Titan". The return of the Nephelims to Earth. WATCH NEXT:

Flying saucers: Proof of alien life or a storm in a teacup?
Flying saucers: Proof of alien life or a storm in a teacup?
Troy LennonHistory editorThe Daily Telegraph
US Coast Guard photograph of “flying saucers” over Salem in 1952.
The return of the much-loved sci-fi series The X-Files has reignited our obsession with whether “the truth is really out there”. And the CIA recently published its UFO files online for the first time, encouraging people to “take a peek into our X-Files”.
Since the end of the Cold War, people have trained their eyes skyward looking for anything unfamiliar or suspicious. Instead of objects launched by the enemy, many people claimed to have seen unexplainably weird things that they reported to the authorities.
US government agencies have been inundated with reports that had to be investigated, with most proving to be easily explained by natural or man-made phenomena. A few were truly inexplicable, which gave rise to something of an unidentified flying objects mania in the 1950s and ’60s.
The files show that most had earthly explanations, but conspiracy theorists will continue to speculate.
Aboriginal Wandjina rock-style paintings from Kimberley in Western Australia.
Mysterious objects were seen in the sky thousands of years before the CIA existed. Prehistoric cave paintings and carvings show flying objects and even men wearing what appear to be space suits, such as the Aboriginal Wandjina figures. In ancient times any inexplicable object in the air was generally interpreted as supernatural, a visitation of the gods.
Most were probably terrestrial phenomena like optical illusions, meteorites or lightning. But others were more puzzling, like the ancient Roman account of glowing ships in the sky from 218BC.
Occasional sightings of mysterious lights or objects in the sky seemed to increase in World War II, when people were on the alert for enemy planes.
Some sightings turned out to be rockets and other experimental weapons or aircraft being tested. One peculiar series of sightings involved “flying balls” menacing aircraft. American pilots dubbed them “foo fighters”.
Many scientists now believe that foo fighters were either surface-to-air weapons fired at the aircraft or just strange forms of electrical discharge, like St Elmo’s fire.
But it planted ideas of extraterrestrial craft in the minds of the public.
As the world moved into the Cold War people never got out of the habit of nervously watching the heavens, and saw more unusual aircraft and objects, again many of them experimental military weapons and aircraft.
In June 1947 American aviator and businessman Kenneth Arnold reported seeing disc-shaped objects while flying near Mt Rainier in Washington.
He later said that they moved “like saucers skipping on water”. They were quickly dubbed “flying saucers”, a name that stuck.
In July that same year a paper reported that the military had found a “flying disc” near Roswell in New Mexico in the US. The military later retracted that press release and said that the object found was a weather balloon. However people later interpreted the retraction as a cover-up.
But the words “flying disc” and “flying saucer” firmly wedged in the public consciousness. Suddenly the number of sightings boomed. People even began reporting having contact with or being abducted by aliens.
In 1948 the US Air Force began Project Sign to investigate unidentified aircraft and objects. This would later become Project Blue Book. Captain Edward J. Ruppelt, who headed Blue Book, coined the term unidentified flying object, or UFO.
Project Blue Book continued up until 1969 when it was dismantled after physicist Edward Condon, who helped to compile a report that concluded there was no evidence of anything but earthly origins for the sightings and the phenomenon didn’t warrant further investigation.
On January 27th, 1959, nine cross-country skiers from Russia’s Ural Polytechnical Institute set out on a hike from Vizhai in the northern province of Sverdlovsk Oblast to Otorten—a name that means “Don’t go there” in the language of the Mansi people indigenous to the area.
On February 1st—57 years ago today—the group moved through a mountain pass near Kholat Syakhl, where a snowstorm picked up and forced the group off their intended path. With temperatures well below zero degrees, the group decided to set up camp on the mountain’s slope, hoping to outlast the storm.
The hikers never reached Otorten. Rescue teams found no trace of the expedition until February 26th, when a band of volunteer searchers found the group’s tent in the snow, collapsed, crumpled, and slit open with razor blades. Five of the bodies were found nearby with the aid of footprints, but the remaining four members of the expedition were nowhere to be found for months.
Finally, on May 4th, over three months after their disappearance, the final four bodies were found, buried under some 10 feet of snow in a ravine well beyond where any of the other bodies were found.
The disappearance of the hikers has become known as the Dyatlov Pass Incident, named after Igor Dyatlov, the 23-year-old leader of the expedition. The details uncovered after an investigation of the area and the autopsies of the bodies resulted in more questions than answers.
Most of the group’s equipment and clothes were still inside the tent when rescuers found it. Some of the hikers were found wearing each others’ clothes; others were found in only their underwear. The footprints found near the site were made by people with either bare feet, socks, or one single shoe. Two of the hikers had suffered head injuries, and one woman was found without her tongue. Forensic radiation tests found alpha radiation on the group’s clothes.
The secretive nature of the official reports only added to the mystery. Some of the injuries were caused by blunt force trauma well beyond what a human attacker would be capable of generating—one Soviet doctor compared it to a car crash. The official cause of death was suspiciously noted as a “compelling unknown force.” But without evidence of foul play, the inquest was closed less than a month after the final bodies were found, and the files were made classified until after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1989.
Further details from witnesses only complicated things further. One witness at the funeral of the deceased hikers noted the bodies had a “strange brown tan”and grayed hair. Another group of hikers near the same area reported seeing “bright orange spheres” to the north, in the general vicinity of the Dyatlov group.
Nine people rushing out of their tent and into sub-zero temperatures and certain death was suspicious enough. The combination of their gruesome injuries, the mystery of the remote mountain range, the unexplained radiation and objects in the sky, and the secrecy of the Soviet investigation have made the Dyatlov Pass Incident the ultimate in imagination fuel. Wild speculation on what really happened has come from scientists, documentarians, and even wild eyed YouTube conspiracy theory channel hosts.
UFO theorists have latched onto the mysterious “orange spheres” to suggest the hikers were attacked by aliens. The “compelling unknown force,” in this theory, could be an alien superweapon.
“It’s not a coincidence that UFOs were reported by these hikers in the Ural mountains, in the place of the dead, ‘don’t go there,’ and so on,” Philip Imbrogno, a “ufologist,” said on History Channel’s Ancient Aliens. “I believe that many UFO sightings come in here from a parallel reality and they come from portals. This area may be a hot portal.”
“The orbs themselves could have been a life form, the orbs themselves could have been extraterrestrial probes,” Bill Birnes, another of History Channel’s ufologists, said. “It could have been inadvertent. The orbs, in probing the area where the humans were, created collateral damage. Maybe they didn’t mean to harm human beings, maybe it wasn’t an attack as much as the power of the orbs, the energy, was so intense the humans were prematurely aged, irradiated, and suffered all kinds of lethal biological symptoms.”
Lately, though, another supernatural theory has risen to prominence, albeit one originating from our own world. The frozen wastelands of Russia have long been of interest to Yeti enthusiasts.
So much so that the Kemerovo region of Siberia arranged a sham scientific conference in 2011, complete with academic experts and researchers flown in from America to boost the event’s credibility. The region stated on its website that evidence of “footprints, a probable den and various markers that Yetis mark their territory with” led scientists to state they were “95 percent sure” Yetis do exist.
Dr. Jeff Meldrum, one of the American researchers flown in by the Keremovans, said he felt the whole thing was “orchestrated” and purely “publicity stunts.” But that hasn’t stopped the theories.
In 2014, Discovery Channel produced a documentary titled Russian Yeti: The Killer Lives, a two-hour program presenting evidence that not aliens but the Yeti was responsible for the deaths of Dyatlov and his hiking crew. Quoth the channel of discovery: “Following the trail of evidence, [Director] Mike [Lebecki] finds proof that the hikers were not alone—a photograph, taken by one of the hikers a day before they died that suggests that they encountered a Yeti. But just how far will they go to find the answers?”
Lebecki went so far as to arrange a nighttime stay in the very same Yeti cave Meldrum toured in 2011. He also found a Mansi woman to tell a story of a legendary creature called the “Menk,” conveniently a six-to-nine foot tall biped that has been known to steal people’s tongues.
For his proof, Lebecki cites an anonymous YouTube video in which a grainy dark blob is visible, the same kind of “proof” offered for Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster for decades. For his coup de grace, he presents one of the pictures found on a camera recovered from the campsite in 1959. “It shows a strange tall creature, lurking in the woods, looking over towards where the students must have been. But what is it?”
Lebecki also cites an entry in the newspaper log the hikers were keeping of the trip, which cryptically states, “From now on we know that the snowmen exist.” But this is either a naive or intentionally deceptive reading of what was a largely joking diary the students were keeping of their journey. The full passage says, “They can be met in the Northern Urals, next to Ortoten mountain,” and it was likely a self-referential joke rather than proof of their Yeti suspicions.
Others suggest the explanation is not supernatural at all, but perhaps even more insidious: The students stumbled upon a military testing area and were either killed by Soviet soldiers protecting the area or were scared into fleeing by the sounds of nearby explosions, as suggested by British author and researcher Keith McCloskey.
The Ural area is near the site of the 1979 Sverdlosk anthrax leak, a “biological Chernobyl” which caused some 100 deaths and was initially explained by the Soviets as a tainted meat outbreak. Further, the Soviets, as with most world powers, were notoriously secretive about their military testing.
There is, however, a far simpler answer. The slope on which the skiers set up camp was at a 22-23 degree angle, well above the 15 degrees at which avalanches become a risk. Most of the evidence conspiracy theorists point to as odd—injuries like the skull fractures and cracked ribs without other soft tissue damage—would be consistent with being crushed by falling snow.
The gruesome missing tongue, the lynchpin of Lebecki’s Yeti theory, could have been caused by a fall into the ravine, a blow from a falling rock suffered while screaming, or local scavengers. And while an avalanche can’t account for the radiation, thorium gas mantles, commonly used in kerosene lanterns, are known to emit a small amount of alpha radiation.
Brian Dunning of Skeptoid, a podcast devoted to examining wacky conspiracy theories, sums up his research as such: “I’m still looking for something in the Dyatlov Pass mystery that lacks a simple and mundane explanation.” But even this answer is incomplete.
If it was an avalanche, what was it caused by? Was it just a freak of nature, or was it the result of a human-produced explosion? What of the orange spheres? What of the incomplete investigation records and the Soviet government’s secrecy?
Of course, Dunning is probably right. But where’s the fun in simple and mundane? As logical as Dunning’s summary is, there remain enough holes in our knowledge of what really happened at Dyatlov Pass to allow our imaginations to fill in the gaps with whatever suits our own personal proclivities.
Whatever really happened in those mountains 57 years ago, there are many in this world who want to believe, and that belief will always run deeper than cold, mundane logic.
He racked his brains for an explanation to the strange phenomenon, but couldn’t reach a viable conclusion due to it’s lack of movement and sound.
He told the Express Online: “At first I thought it was a Chinese lantern but it wasn’t moving. It could have also been an Apache, but there was no noise.
“I went back the next day in the day time to see if it was a crane or something, but there was nothing there.”

A strange light appeared hovering in the sky
The video was shot by the Wiltshire resident on the evening of January 19, near to the village of Alderbury – about a mile east of Salisbury.
Mr Jones, who says that he has never encountered anything like this in his life, showed it to his close friends and family.
He added: “Once they stopped laughing after I told them that I had filmed a light in the sky, they said ‘well that is quite weird’.”

Could it have been an alien spacecraft?
This is not the first time that Wiltshire residents have encountered alien phenomena which they are unable to explain.
From 1965 to 1975, the south west county’s residents reported many UFO sightings.
On August 20 1965, a couple on a motorcycle felt it stall as two white spheres of light hovered overhead, changing colour.

Crop circles have also appeared in Wiltshire
The same year, on October 8 1965, a woman driving towards Warminster felt her car lose power after seeing a bright orange ball before the vehicle stopped. She then saw a dark object rise from a nearby field, sparking red and blue, before the engine started up again.
In 1967, a businessman driving past Clay Hill felt his car become hot and heard a high-pitched noise before the engine failed. He got out and saw a glowing white disc overhead before it sped off.
In August 25 1975, a serviceman driving near Warminster reported to a police patrol that his car malfunctioned after seeing a bright-red light in the sky.

Warning Space Aliens: Earth's UFO-Hunting Satellite Is Coming For You
Warning Space Aliens: Earth's UFO-Hunting Satellite Is Coming For You
"We have former astronauts, military personnel, police officers and the former defense minister of Canada come forward stating that extraterrestrial UFOs are real ... How can this be ignored and brushed off as nonsense?"
It seems like every day, a video or image emerges that appears to show a UFO near the International Space Station. And it generally -- OK, always -- turns out not to be a UFO. It's normally space debris, light reflections from the station windows,an antenna attached to the station, etc.
But wouldn't it be interesting if someone actually launched a satellite into Earth orbit (illustrated above), with the specific mission of trying to detect and prove unknown objects are actually out there?
Get ready for CubeSat for Disclosure, a team of researchers brought together by software engineer Dave Cote, who have a common purpose in launching their own satellite: To find and verify a real extraterrestrial craft.
"We have former astronauts, military personnel, police officers and the former defense minister of Canada come forward stating that extraterrestrial UFOs are real, and that we are being visited," Cote said in a press release. "How can this be ignored and brushed off as nonsense?"
On the following CubeSat for Disclosure video, Cote says his project "aims to use a low-orbit satellite controlled by us, the individuals, to study potential objects in our Earth's atmosphere."
"Maybe we'll get data readings and pictures of solar flared-caused auroras; maybe we'll capture images of some very interesting meteors; and maybe, we'll actually capture a verifiable craft. All we can do is try, and by doing this our way, we can open-source the data to you, the individuals," said Cote.
Current technology allows private citizens to build small, relatively affordable satellites, launch them into Earth orbit and perform various experiments. CubeSats are about the size of a shoebox, into which a variety of scientific equipment can be placed.
These nano-satellites can reach a height of around 195 miles above Earth for around $20,000, and have orbital lifespans of about three months before they burn up on re-entry.
For its UFO hunt, the CubeSat for Disclosure team will load the little satellite with infrared, electromagnetic and radiation sensors, as well as two cameras set to photograph a full 360 degrees.
"We control what the images are. We will have the images," said project coordinator Dave Shock. "If you're watching a live feed from the International Space Station, it can suddenly cut out and they'll say, 'Oh, we lost the signal.' But we will have total control of everything. Nobody will alter or corrupt our data so that the government can't cover up what we may find. This is all ours," Shock told The Huffington Post.
CubeSat for Disclosure doesn't have a launch date yet, and they're raising money to pack as much instrumentation into the satellite as possible.
"We're using the air and space port, Interorbital Systems, out of the Mojave Desert," Shock said. "We got the satellite through them and they'll do the launch. It's a whole package: You buy the satellite, you also get the launch. The more money we get, the more scientific equipment we can pack on board."
A recent study has revealed how the human DNA was encoded using an extraterrestrial signal which was used by ancient aliens who once visited Earth in the distant past – and who are perhaps back again!
Two top researchers from the from the Department of Mathematics, respectively Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute, Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, have been working on something called “The Wow! Signal” of the terrestrial genetic code”. This could quite possibly be one of the greatest ever discoveries ever!
The two leading authors of this extremely important study, Vladimir I. shCherbak and Maxim A. Makukov, trust in the existence of something called the “Biological SETI” – which is a mathematical code residing inside the human races DNA structure – it is something that can definitely NOT be explained via the course of evolution, as traditional theories claim. This appears to be a potential game changer for all we know about our past and origins on planet Earth.
The missing link to our past ~ ET creation?
This important study could actually prove that science is now a massive step closer to proving the Ancient Astronaut theory, as well as the hypothesis of our species being engineered by advanced aliens through DNA manipulation. The two leading researchers stated in the Icarus Journal:
“Once fixed, the code might stay unchanged over cosmological timescales. In fact, it is the most durable construct known. Therefore it represents an exceptionally reliable storage for an intelligent signature. Once the genome is appropriately rewritten, the new code with a signature will stay frozen in the cell and its progeny, which might then be delivered through space and time”.
“In other words, the human DNA is designed with such a precision that it reveals an “ensemble of arithmetical and ideographical patterns of symbolic language”.
Perhaps the ET’s are our Creators?
As a result of this intriguing study, many more researchers from around the world are now discussing about the probability of us humans being engineered somewhere ‘outside’ of our solar system by our alien creators several billion years ago – a hypothesis which has for a long time been strongly supported by the many ancient texts found on here on Planet Earth, that speak of the creation of mankind and the creator gods or deities. Perhaps it is the Aliens who are our Gods?
Another part of the study goes on to explain that life on Earth could have emerged as a direct result of ‘microbiological particles’ being carried throughout the darkness and mass of the cosmos on the back of asteroids and comets, which in affect act like huge transportation devices that go around planting life on different planets capable of sustaining it. This thought provoking theory differs a lot from the classic evolution theory, as many supporters believe that we were definitely not a random product of evolution, but quite possibly a certain creation of our makers, prepared and designed and then sent to Earth on purpose!
This theory was actually covered in the Hollywood Blockbuster film called ‘Prometheus’, please see below the opening scene of this ‘drip feeding’ of Disclosure film ~ Just like the evidence that has recently been discovered:
The two researchers Cherbak and Makukov went on to present a very detailed analysis (please see link below) of the human genome that shows a previously ignored precision-type method in the mapping between the DNA’s nucleotides and amino acids. The pair said that:
“Simple arrangements of the code reveal an ensemble of arithmetical and ideographical patterns of symbolic language. Accurate and systematic, these underlying patterns appear as a product of precision logic and nontrivial computing”.
U.I.P SUMMARY –
I guess this important find asks many important questions! Like, is it possible that we were possibly designed by advanced alien species who had a rather extended knowledge of creating life through DNA manipulation? And if this is true, does this mean that we are all Aliens on planet earth!? Is the human race possibly a product originating from another planet out there in the infinite Universe? Or could it be that we are a product which has been designed on Earth by an advanced race who anchored on this planet in the ancient past, as many age-old texts have even suggested??
Whilst it is impossible to deny the ‘panspermia hypothesis’ which claims that life on the earth could have originated from microorganisms or chemical precursors of life present somewhere out there in outer space, that were able to initiate life upon reaching a suitable environment, us guys at U.I.P find it FAR more likely that life on Earth is actually a product of a far more intelligent species who have the unique ability to create life on other planets.
No matter what, the up-coming years will reveal to us all far more information regarding of research, which that were until now either forbidden/ignored or just covered up by the Elite.
Perhaps this is why many of us feel that we are from ‘another place’.

[HD] UFO Filmed Over Colima Volcano in the Moment of Eruption
[HD] UFO Filmed Over Colima Volcano in the Moment of Eruption
A fascinating and at the same time rare sighting of a UFO flying over an active volcano has been recorded by the surveillance cameras tracking volcanic activity on January 3, 2016.
Accounts show that a large number of UFOs are attracted by high amounts of energy, whether it originates from a powerful lightning storm, an active volcano or even a large crowd of people. While some sightings appear to be accumulating energy from the storm clouds, possibly for recharging, others seem to be studying human behavior from above.
However, when it comes to active volcanos, UFOs tend to have a more peculiar behavior. UFO analysts have launched different theories about the unexplained pattern a UFO follows when found over an erupting mountain, but let’s first have a look at this recent case to better understand the situation.
A couple of weeks back, the cameras constantly recording the Colima Volcano surprised a UFO flying over the top just before the eruption. About five seconds into the video, a strange disc-shaped craft makes its presence noticed, and when the volcano erupts, it flies right over it. Is it likely that the passing UFO is responsible for the immediate eruption?
According to some UFO researchers, volcanos might act as a transition zone between the outer realm and the inner Earth, often referred to as Shamballa or Agartha. In the moment of the eruption, the flying craft appears to drop something inside the raging mountain.
Could this be interpreted as a propulsion system which sent the pilots of the UFO through the active volcano and further into the Inner Earth?
If this is the case, we can only guess, but there are other videos revealing UFO activity near the erupting volcanos. Could there be a link between them after all?

Ruins Of Ancient City Found In Antarctica
Ruins Of Ancient City Found In Antarctica
A California TV crew missing since November 2002, a video they left behind and a mission by U.S. Navy SEALs are the key elements in a story that claims extensive ancient ruins have been found under the ice of Antarctica. That’s according to archaeologist and adventurer Jonathan Gray of World Education Research Ltd in his free newsletter Archaeology News Flash.
A spokesman for the company is reported to have said at the time that “The U.S. government said it will seek to block the airing of a video found by Navy rescuers in Antarctica that purportedly reveals that a massive archaeological dig is underway two miles (3,200 meters) beneath the ice.”
“The AtlantisTV production crew that shot the video is still missing.” reports Gray.
Attorneys for the Beverly Hills-based AtlantisTV stressed at the time that the company’s primary concern was for the safety and welfare of the crew.
But they stated they would vigorously oppose any attempts to censor material that is clearly in the public interest and public domain.
The icy continent of Antarctica, they pointed out, belongs to no nation. "The U.S. has no jurisdiction there.”
McMurdo Station Antarctica
“That video is the property of AtlantisTV, said a company spokesman, We shot it. It’s ours. And as soon as it is rightfully restored to us, were going to air it. End of story.”
WATCHED BY NAVY OFFICERS
“Two Navy officers who saw the tape described its contents to National Science Foundation (NSF) researchers upon their return to the Amundsen-Scott Station at the South Pole,” asserts Gray in his recent newsletter.
Amundsen-Scott Station
So reported sources at McMurdo Station, the main American base in Antarctica.”They said it showed spectacular ruins and other things they couldn’t go into", an NSF scientist reported.
“We chalked it up to some kind of subzero-induced delusion,” he said, “until a helicopter full ofNavy SEALs landed and picked them up and took off. Now, were scratching our heads.”
Officials of the U.S. Naval Support Task Force in Antarctica predictably denied the story or the possession of any video shot by the missing AtlantisTV crew.
Navy sources said they found the video in an abandoned supply dump 100 miles (160 kilometers) west of Vokstok Station.
Are you keeping up with the astonishing secrets of our past?
At least four YouTube posters think there just may be a lost city on the continent of Antarctica.
A team of researchers are claiming that they have discovered three ancient pyramids on the ice covered continent of Antarctica. Exact details are sketchy, but the team have released three intriguing pictures of their discovery. according to Stephen Hannard ADGUK
The international team comprises researchers from the United States, and several other, are from various European countries. Two of the huge pyramid structures were found approximately 10 miles inland, the third one not far from the coastline, clearly visible from ocean.
The team are currently planning an expedition to reach one of the pyramids to find out if it is a natural or an artificial structure. No further Details have been reported from the team as of 29 August 2012. More news is pending. Im undecided on this one guys until further confirmation, so as always you decide.
Tonight, on Channel 5, Mulder and Scully will reopen the X-Files - so we thought we would delve into our own tales our intrigue, terror and general weirdness.
Below are stories of UFOs, alien abduction fears and even paranormal activity. Read on – if you dare!
We start with a motorist who reported seeing lights in the sky above Hythewho said he had no idea what he saw– but was sure was not a plane or helicopter.
Matt Law, 29, had been driving towards Dymchurch in March 2014 to take his dog Jessie for a run when he saw triangular lights in front of him.
As he got closer, they did not move so he came to a halt directly below, opened his window and found there was no sound.
Perplexed, he watched as the lights disappeared.
He told the Herald: "I'm not saying it was a flying saucer – I'm a bit of a sceptic – but it was no plane or helicopter."
Motorcyclist Michael D was "terrified" when a UFO hovered over his car while he travelled at about 35 miles per hour.
The witness reported online he had been riding home from a friend's house when he spotted a "massive flying thing" in the sky. The unknown entity hovered above him as he drove from Hawkinge towards Canterbury at about 1.50am on December 27 2014.
He said: "I caught up with it and saw it had a green light on one side and red on the other, both flashing slowly with a dot of white underneath. It was as if it stopped over me but had no sound."
Footage we showed of strange lights seen flying over a home in Folkestone was described as "intriguing" by one of the UK's foremost experts on UFOs.
The video was uploaded to YouTube and was watched about 30 times by curious viewers
When shown the clip by the Herald, Nick Pope, who investigated UFOs for the Ministry of Defence, said: "Assuming it's genuine, it's an intriguing piece of footage."
A pensioner who spotted an unidentified flying object over his home in Cheriton claimed visitors from another world are watching us.
That was the opinion of former Ministry of Defence worker Derek Clarke, who said he saw a UFO over his home in Biggins Wood Road in 2010.
The skies over Lydd are the site of an unsolved UFO incident, according to official Government documents released in 2008.
The reports showed a passenger plane was involved in a near miss with an unidentified flying object over Kent.
The incident, reported in April 1991, involved a fast-moving object thought, at first, to be a missile.
A description made out to the Civil Aviation Authority said: "The pilots reported seeing a missile cross above their position whilst descending as they prepared to land in London."
The Alitalia flight, en route from Milan to Heathrow, was piloted by Captain Achille Zaghetti. In an official review he said: "During descent I saw for about 3 to 4 seconds a flying object flying about 1,000ft higher than us."
Government letters, reports from the Folkestone Herald and details of an RAF investigation into a UFO sighting near former MP Michael Howard's home featured in UFO files released by the Ministry of Defence.
Eyewitnesses in Burmarsh and New Romney saw the ''humming'' object, the size of two passenger planes, near Mr Howard's home on March 8 1997, when he was serving as home secretary for the Conservative government.
Sophie Wadleigh, 25, from Hythe, reported the sighting to the Folkestone Herald.
She told the newspaper: ''It was so peculiar, it all felt really odd and I heard this humming noise."
When landlord Stuart Whiffen feels a gentle push on his back he knows he has to ask a customer to leave the premises – or risk annoying a spirit which shares his Sandgate pub.
Since taking over the Ship Inn 29 years ago he says he has encountered at least two ghosts, who on one occasion even forced his staff to flee the building in terror.
The first, who he calls the fish woman owing to the stench which accompanies her, he has only seen on one memorable occasion a few years ago, when she was wearing a distinctive dress.
But the other is a different story.
Mr Whiffen told the Herald: "The second one is a bit of a madam.
"We've had music turn up and down on its own and doors crash shut – so much so that we've called police as we think we have intruders."
Has the CIA ever seen UFOs? What type of information about UFOs has the CIA released to the public? Are the X-Files real? The CIA has released an online library of UFO documents and sightings called “UFOs: Fact or Fiction?” The entire library can be found at this link. The document below is one of the most intriguing from the library. In it, the CIA admits back in 1952 that it has confirmed reports of unidentified objects flying near military installations, and these objects cannot be attributed to natural occurrences or any known military aircraft. The sightings required immediate attention. See the document below:
The CIA has released photos of alleged UFOs -- its own real-life X-Files cases. These documents were actually already declassified back in 1978, but they're being released again with easier online access due to renewed interest after The X-Files relaunch. We've dug a little deeper into the CIA's FOIA releases to bring even more UFO photos to this gallery. Are UFOs real? Did the CIA really release photos of UFOs? Click through the gallery to see some of the best UFO reports and photos and judge for yourself.
This first and one of the most compelling photos is taken from a released CIA report published on July 29, 1952. The paper is titled "Recent Sightings of Unexplained Objects." In this document, the CIA admits that there are unidentified objects near U.S. military installations that they could not identify. Specifically, it reads:
Recent reports reaching CIA indicated that further action was desirable... At this time, the reports of incidents convince us that there is something going on that must have immediate attention... Sightings of unexplained objects at great altitudes and travelling at high speeds in the vicinity of major U.S. defense installations are of such nature that they are not attributable to natural phenomenon or known types of aerial vehicles."

Orange Fireballs and Little People in England—the Incredible 1994 UFO-Humanoid Case at Silbury Hill
Orange Fireballs and Little People in England—the Incredible 1994 UFO-Humanoid Case at Silbury Hill
By Gregory Little
This is one of the most bizarre multiple-witness UFO cases ever recorded in the UK and it rivals the famous 1955 Kelly-Hopkinsville (Green Men Case) for strangeness. The entire 1994 Silbury Hill event is detailed in 11 pages by Andrew Collins in his 2012 book Lightquest. This article is only a brief synopsis of the events and subsequent experiences reported by the witnesses. The case is little known outside the UK but is clearly one of the most important cases in UFO history. The book Lightquest includes several full-page illustrations of the objects and the beings encountered by the witnesses.
In July 1994 three people climbed England’s Silbury Hill and planned to spend the night atop the 131-foot high mound to watch for possible crop circle activity. The three people (two men and a woman) were soon met by two other friends, but the two friends left shortly before dark. A group of 5-6 teenagers was also on the summit of the mound at the same time. The teenagers fell asleep around midnight as fog began to encircle the mound and they appeared to be “frozen” or deeply asleep when the strangeness began to unfold.
Around 1:00 am the three witnesses heard what they thought were the sounds of someone ascending the hill by coming straight up the side—not by using the spiral path that leads up and around the hill. Looking over the side of the steep mound they thought they could see small dark forms moving around, forms resembling children, but their attention was immediately grabbed by the sight of an orange fireball appearing about a mile away—slowly floating above the ground. When all three people looked at the orange, fiery orb another fireball immediately appeared beside the first. At that distance the witnesses described them as looking like flaming, orange torches. Immediately they smelled sulfur and something like burning rubber and they could hear dogs in the distance now barking wildly. The fireballs floated quickly toward the three witnesses and when the orbs were about 170 yards away from the mound, one of the witnesses turned on a flashlight. Immediately the orange orbs stopped moving. The witnesses then could clearly see a “structured form” hanging below each of the orange orbs. The balls of orange fire appeared to be about 2-feet in diameter, but the objects below each were larger. The objects under the orbs were tetrahedron shaped—a three-sided pyramid—and floating above the ground. When the flashlight was turned off, the floating lights continued moving toward them. They watched as what looked like electrical discharges occasionally flashed to the ground from the orbs. When the forms got closer, the witnesses were stunned by what they saw.
Inside both of the now translucent pyramid-shaped objects they could see a small being sitting with crossed legs and hands clasped on their laps. The beings were glowing orange and were estimated to have been 4-5 feet tall. The female witness — for reasons she could not explain — blurted out, “They’re little people.” The fireballs floated higher and eventually elevated to about 10 feet above the hill and about 15-20 feet away from the witnesses. At that point, everything seemed to mentally move in slow motion. They heard a cracking sound and what seemed to be whispering. One of the witnesses believed that the creatures were somehow communicating with them. As the orange glow from the objects was reflected onto the surrounding trees and the hill, both fireballs silently expanded in a massive and blinding flash of light.
The orbs and dangling pyramid shaped objects reappeared after the light flash subsided and then floated down the hill, they then joined together into a single fireball, and moved over a nearby road to an adjacent field. It was at this point the most bizarre event occurred.
One of the humanoid beings slowly emerged from the fireball, but as it emerged it was holding the hand of the other humanoid, also pulling it out of the orb. Both of the orange, glowing beings floated next to the orb, hand-in-hand, and then they re-entered the fireball. At that moment from behind the object several more orange orbs suddenly appeared, numbering from 3-4. Below each of these the witnesses could see a translucent tetrahedron with a small humanoid being sitting inside. The group of orange objects then moved away from Silbury following a road toward the town of Marlborough, illuminating the road as they moved.
Unexpectedly, a car then appeared on the road moving toward the lights. In response, the orange orbs merged into a single light and shrank to the size of a tennis ball and rapidly jumped off the road into a hedgerow. As the three witnesses saw the car then hit its brakes, a man suddenly came up to the top of the hill and startled them. He said he had been sleeping on a portion of the other side of the hill and was awakened. Then, all 4 witnesses saw the tennis-ball size light reappear and rapidly move toward Silbury Hill and spin around it. Shortly thereafter the witnesses saw what they described as a string of multi-colored lights moving up a nearby hill and over it out of sight.
The three main witnesses decided to tell no one about their experience, but for years thereafter they were haunted by the experience. Nightmares, fear, changes in career, and various other emotional issues emerged. Andrew Collins, who is well-known and respected in that area of the UK, extensively interviewed all of the witnesses while researching the book Lightquest and was convinced of their honesty. The first time that the story was publicly revealed was in his book.
The area around Silbury and nearby Avebury is a hotbed of strange reports: UFOs, crop circles, humanoids, strange lights, and apparitional phenomena are frequently reported. Around 2006 my wife and I stayed with the Collins’s for a week at Avebury exploring Silbury, the Avebury circle, and nearby sites. We spent several nights walking the standing stone grassy avenues leading for miles in various directions to different sites. Oddly, each night we observed small orbs of blue/green/white lights emanating from the hills running alongside the avenues.

DIAMOND SHAPED ALIEN CRAFT ENCOUNTER IN FLORIDA
DIAMOND SHAPED ALIEN CRAFT ENCOUNTER IN FLORIDA
DIAMOND SHAPED ALIEN CRAFT ENCOUNTER IN FLORIDA
OCTOBER 4, 2012 ………… SAINT PETERSBURG FLORIDA
I was laying on the roof of a building with a friend while we were waiting on a buddy to get out of class. My friend was walking around on the roof while I was lying down. I was staring up at the stars when I saw a bright white elongated diamond shape appear out of nowhere. The object looked as though it was coming through the atmosphere because it had a contrail but the color was nothing like a comet’s trail; It was more of a pink color. The ‘front’ of it was the elongated, more acute angle (i.e. the pointier end of the diamond). It traveled a short distance in a straight line before it disappeared. (approx. 2 inches if I held my arm straight up). The contrail seemed to be coming off of the object and disappeared just as the object did. At this point I yelled “Holy ****! Dude did you see that?” Just as I was saying this I saw another white diamond appear in the same area of sky. This time the contrail was red/purple. The object flew perpendicular to the first object’s path. It seemed a little bit bigger than the first one, but I am not sure if it was the same object a little closer or if it was a second object. This object was visible for the same amount of time (1-2 seconds) before it vanished just like the first one. I wanted to make sure my friend saw it, so I yelled “Look up!” and pointed towards the area as the second one was going by. By the time he looked up it had vanished. Then a third diamond appeared in the same area of sky! This time its path was parallel to the previous one; the flight path of all three basically made the shape of a capital ‘H’. It was bright white like the others but there was no trail coming off of the object on this pass. It moved slower this time and it was much closer; I could actually see the diamond shape spin on its long axis! Again, it vanished after a couple of seconds had passed.
I asked my friend if he saw it too, he said “Yea, what the hell was that?!” (More like he yelled in a panicked tone). Of course, I had no answer for him. At this point I felt a wave of anxiety come over me and I wanted to get off of the roof as quickly as possible and go somewhere inside. So we both hurried down to the ground and went indoors. I asked him what he saw and he basically said it looked like a bright spinning arrowhead that appeared and disappeared. The images of them have been burned into my memory and I have reflected upon that moment quite often. I am not sure if it was the same object slowly making its way through the atmosphere or three separate objects. I am also not sure if the brightness of the object was from the heat produced by an object entering the atmosphere, but that is the only explanation I can think of; it still bugs me that the third sighting had no trail but was still bright white. I simply do not know how to rationalize it.

Five of my favourite from the
Five of my favourite from the "best" UFO sightings/encounters
So, I've been thinking, as there is a current slump (it appears) in UFO activity (I believe such things are cyclic, and possibly next year will be a big year), and there are so many hoaxes out there on the net these days, I thought I'd revisit some old cases and list five that really stand the test of time for me. They probably aren't what you expect, but here goes....
Vickie Landrum (left) and Betty Cash fell victim to radiation sickness after a December 1980 close encounter.
INTERCONTINENTAL U.F.O. GALACTIC SPACECRAFT RESEARCH AND ANALYTIC NETWORK ARCHIVES
Cash Landrum Possibly not extraterrestrial, but certainly unknown, what Betty Cash and Vickie Landrum experienced definitely had an effect on them physically and mentally - there is no doubt they experienced exposure to some kind of radiation/chemical agent. This incident happened the day after the Rendlesham Incident in the UK. I've always wondered if what they encountered was actually one of ours - possibly a test article of some kind of new nuclear propulsion system (although there apparently was no trace of abnormal radioactivity in the area) or, possibly a live test of some form of chemical warfare/hallucinagen spraying where they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Certainly a UFO in the true sense of being unidentified and irrefutable that something happened to them.
Capt. Terauchi (from People Magazine).
JAL 1628 When an experienced ex-fighter pilot turned Heavy Cargo jet Captain goes public and tells you his aircraft was followed by an object the size of two aircraft carriers over Northern Alaska, its time to sit up and take notice. When the whole incident is recorded on audio, and on radar, and corroborated by ground controllers and the rest of the aeroplane crew, and is unwavering to this day, its time to wonder what the hell these people encountered. What started as two lights ahead of the plane and a question of whether there was military traffic in the area certainly escalated, and pretty quickly. There are drawings out there made by the captain of what he saw, and it must have been terrifying and exquisitely tantalising at the same time.
Drawings by pupils at Ariel School in Zimbabwe of the aliens’ visit to their school in September 1994.
Zimbabwe School Landing Kids make things up, right? Everyone knows kids are prone to flights of fancy. However, when 62 of them all claim that a UFO landed right next to their school, the day after a mass UFO sighting in Zimbabwe, and that some form of alien entity approached them, scaring them half to death you have to start to wonder what they saw. This case has baffled psychiatrists who have investigated it and walked away believing that the children are definitely scarred from some kind of incident. The story has also stood the test of time, with the witnesses never changing any details as they have grown up. It makes for interesting and (potentially) chilling reading.
Lonnie Zamora Incident In recent years, people have tried to explain this case away, suggesting that Lonnie Zamora was the victim of a prank. I say that those explanations are crap, bought about by someone trying to make a name for themselves in UFOlogy. Zamora was a well respected cop with no reason whatsoever to lie about what he saw and this case has all the hallmarks of something unusual. Police officer sighting, corroborating witnesses to something unusual in the area, ground evidence and traces of activity - so much so that J.Allen Hynek described it as a genuine unknown.
The Cosford Incident This is one of EX-MOD investigator turned UFO researcher Nick Pope's favourite UFO incidents. That should be enough to pique anyone's curiosity and it seems that something really rather huge and triangular shaped traversed a large chunk of British airspace in 1993. It was sighted by multiple independent witnesses, including RAF personnel at two separate bases. Made even more unusual by the fact that there was satellite debris re-re-entering the atmosphere at one point during the evening (the times of sightings differ from that of the re-entry) AND even more extraordinary by the responses to Nicks investigation and answers/questions from the US government, this is one my standout cases, and one that keeps me looking up hoping it'll come back one day.
There are other compelling cases, but I won't run through them all because I'm interested in what you guys might want to add to the list of "the best" with one caveat - no Roswel (its been done to death) - throw some more of your faves at me, or give me your thoughts on what I've listed above?

The FBI opened “The Vault“—a library of documents released to the public through the Freedom of Information Act—in 2011. In the following two years, a particular document now known as the “Hottel Memo” received nearly a million views.
It was written on March 22, 1950, by Guy Hottel, then head of the FBI field office in Washington, D.C. It states:
“An investigator for the Air Forces stated that three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico. They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only three feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed fliers and test pilots.”
Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only three feet tall.
In 2013, the FBI made a public statement on the memo, since it had received widespread attention.
Some people had connected the memo to the alleged conspiracy to cover up a UFO crash in Roswell, New Mexico. The FBI stated, “The Hottel memo is dated nearly three years after the infamous events in Roswell in July 1947. There is no reason to believe the two are connected.”
After initial reports that a UFO crashed in Roswell, the military said it was a weather balloon that had crashed.
The FBI said it did not further investigate the saucers reported by Hottel: “The Hottel memo does not prove the existence of UFOs; it is simply a second- or third-hand claim that we never investigated.”

Earthquakes Can Cause Mysterious Lights In The Sky
Earthquakes Can Cause Mysterious Lights In The Sky
Earthquake Lights (EQLs) seem to be old phenomena. Irish engineer and amateur seismologist Robert Mallet published a catalogue in 1851-1855, where he dated back EQLs to Biblical times, interpreting descriptions of fire-columns in the Bible as early observations of EQLs. The Italian priest and naturalist Ignazio Galli published in 1910 a first classification scheme of EQLs. In his book Raccolta e classificazione dei fenomeni luminosi osservati nei terremoti (Collection and Classification of luminous phenomena observed during earthquakes) he recognized four types: short-lasting (just a few seconds) and long-lasting (for minutes or hours) diffuse lights, flares and luminescent clouds and finally moving orbs of light.
He also noted that the different EQL types show different temporal patterns. For example, short-lasting lights like flashes occur mostly before a quake, clouds and orbs during a quake and flames after. However, nobody could explain the origin of these apparitions. One of the most plausible explanations at the time, proposed by Italian seismologist Giovanni Ciuseppe Bianconi in 1840, explained the lights as burning gas (“Swamp gas?” as agent Mulder would state), coming from fissures opening during a quake. However, burning gas could explain only small flames, not large-scale glowing clouds.
For a long time, only anecdotal accounts and tales existed and most seismologist didn´t take accounts of EQLs very serious. It wasn’t until 1973 that Japanese geologist Yutaka Yasui provided some photographic evidence, showing glowing reddish and blue clouds in the sky above the city of Matsushiro during a series of earthquakes occurring between 1965 and 1967.
So EQLs seem to be a real thing, however, we still don´t know exactly why they occur. Today’s best explanation considers electromagnetic effects behind the atmospheric glow; this could also explain reports of malfunctioning electronic devices (especially telephones) during such events. Electric charges can accumulate over time during the tectonic deformation of rocks, during an earthquake this energy is suddenly released in form of a visible spark. EQLs could also be a sort of glowing gas, formed by the ionizing properties of this energy.
Some researchers made even a connection of EQLs to another, supposedly unexplained phenomenon – Unidentified Flying Objects, or UFOs. In 1977, psychologists Michael A. Persinger and Ghislaine Lafreniere published the book Space-Time Transients and Unusual Events, arguing that UFOs are misidentified electric sparks from underground caused by accumulated electric charges.
Going even further, some UFOlogists speculated that the generated electric fields are strong enough to influence a bystander´s mind and cause hallucinations. To support their hypothesis the authors tried to correlate UFOs sightings with seismic zones in the U.S. However, there also seems to be a high correlation with booze consumption…
UFOs, UFOs everywhere …. simplified map with seismic activity in the United States and supposed areas of increased UFOs sightings in 1870-1960, modified after PERSINGER and other authors.

.N.J.'s own 'X-Files': 1 town's mysterious and complicated UFO sighting
N.J.'s own 'X-Files': 1 town's mysterious and complicated UFO sighting
Do you believe in aliens and UFOs? From unexplained phenomena, to known hoaxes, and popular culture depictions N.J. has had its share of alien experiences. More than 1,800 UFO sightings have been reported to the National UFO reported center as of Aug. 2015.
But whether you believe in UFOs or are just a fan of the show, many people in New Jersey have claimed sightings through the years, and one state township's little-known UFO history, beginning with a mysterious 1970s sighting, serves as a reminder that the "truth (could be) out there."
North Bergen: A little-known UFO history
It was after 2 a.m. on Jan. 12, 1975.
72-year-old George O'Barski was on his way home, after finishing up his work as a liquor store owner in New York City.
Suddenly, as he was driving through a short-cut in North Hudson Park, O'Barski later would say, his car radio suddenly filled with static.
A brightly lit 30-foot-long domed aircraft descended, he claimed.
O'Barski said about 11 3.5-feet-tall helmeted, "uniformed figures" had walked out of the craft and quickly taken soil samples, before the spacecraft flew away within four minutes.
The sighting was later covered covered in The Village Voice, in March 1976.
Is North Bergen a UFO capital?A UFO tracker, professor, & local spokespeople sound off
1. North Bergen police spokesman Captain Patrick Irwin...had not gotten any UFO calls in 25 years.
"None."
2. North Bergen spokesman Phil Swibinski... had not heard about the sightings.
"North Bergen is known as a progressive community where people really care about each other and residents love to live here because of its cultural diversity, stable property taxes and great public schools, among many other reasons. A few UFO sightings several years ago are not especially relevant to the township's image."
3. Saint Peter's University's Communication Professor Barna Donovan (who studies conspiracy theories)... found the 1975 incident intriguing.
"By (1975) UFO movies were kind of passé... Something like the O'Barski case, if I personally was sitting in the basement of a real-life X-Files office, and I had to stamp this, I would probably say 'This is unexplained.' With all that detail, either it's true or he's making it up."
But he was highly skeptical.
"We're so close to three major airports and so many smaller regional airports. Basically the skies are so full of flying objects, it's so easy to misidentify things... Why would aliens want to go take soil samples in a place as busy, as crowded, as Hudson County?"
4. Washington-based National UFO Reporting Center Director Peter Davenport (who has recorded 1,910 alleged UFO sightings in N.J.)... had not heard of North Bergen's mid-1970s sighting or its UFO reputation.
"I have yet to find a settlement or a city or a village that doesn't claim it has a hot spot with UFO activity... (but I hold) Budd Hopkins's work in very high regard."
Evidence existed that O'Barski was telling the truth, Hopkins claimed: marks in the ground, and a mysteriously shattered glass window in the lobby of the iconic Stonehenge apartment building across the street, where the doorman told Hopkins he had seen unusual bright lights about 10 feet off the ground.
The end... or is it?
After that, some people in North Bergen were scared, and others were claiming sightings.
Bose Bozicevic, a retired North Bergen police officer, remembers the commotion.
When he was a high school student in North Bergen, Bozicevic and his 17- and 18-year-old friends thought the UFO stories were hilarious: "UFOs? Yeah, right," he said.
To test people's gullibility, his friends once even dressed Bozicevic in tinfoil, gave him a WWII gas mask from one of their grandfather's closets — and then unleashed him in North Hudson park.
"They start screaming 'oh there, he is!' People were freaked out by seeing me. I thought it was pretty obvious this is somebody just (messing) around. The police, they see me in the distance. My buddies take off, but I got tinfoil all over me, as you can imagine," Bozicevic recalled.
"I start jogging away. I hear one of the bystanders screaming 'Shoot him! Shoot him! He ate my grandmother!' As I'm running, I'm ripping the tin foil off. It looked like Forest Gump."
The irony is that about 10 years later, Bozicevic became a police officer, and he was on duty on Park Avenue near the Guttenberg-North Bergen border when he would have his own seeming UFO sighting.
His story has gotten him more than enough grief from his smirking officer buddies, he says, but he shares it anyway.
At about 4 a.m. one Sunday morning in the 1980s, as he was in the midst of writing a parking citation, Bozicevic heard a whirring in a desolate street, he said, and then saw a "ship, a something," with bright lights, float over his head, "inches" above the buildings.
"I remember reaching for the radio on the car to call something in. I was holding it and I was looking at this thing and I put it down. I said 'nah,'" he said. "As I reached 79th Street, the thing made a right and went sideways and just went 'zsst' and disappeared right down past the Hudson River... I was like, 'Wow, nobody can corroborate this.'"
A Stonehenge maintenance worker, who did not give his name because he wasn't authorized to speak, told NJ Advance Media this past fall that he believed the Stonehenge never learned why that window smashed.
"No rhyme or reason, supposedly," he said. "It was just a very strange set of circumstances that took place that day."
North Bergen has an interesting story but it's not special when it comes to UFO sightings: Based on the New Jersey database from the National UFO Reporting Center, there have been numerous UFO sightings reported all around the state for the past several decades, and counting. (Check to see if your town is a UFO hotspot here.)
However, in some ways, the North Bergen 1970s sighting was relatively unique among New Jersey sightings: the month of January, and a sighting time of around 2 a.m., are relatively rare, based on a National UFO Reporting Center data analysis, through Fall 2015.
Below, a map of all the UFO sighting locations in New Jersey, dated from 1930 through Fall 2015, as reported to the National UFO Center database:
