Government Says It Has Lost More UFO X-Files
Government Says It Has Lost More UFO X-Files
Government UFO-related documents seem to have a habit of disappearing. This time the files belonged to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
John Greenewald has been using the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to get formerly classified documents from the government, and to post them online for decades. He began his efforts while in high school in the 1990s and continues his efforts to this day.
Greenewald was inspired to seek out these documents when he heard of UFO files that showed the U.S. government's interest in a UFO incident in Iran that took place in 1976. The government claims it no longer had any interest in UFOs since the official closing of its official UFO investigation, Project Blue Book, in 1969. He requested the document through a FOIA request and, to his surprise and delight, received it.
The file -- and the process of retrieving it -- fascinated Greenewald to the point where it spawned what has become a lifelong effort to retrieve formerly classified files and post them on the Internet. Greenewald's website, TheBlackVault.com, now has over 1.3 million formerly classified pages of documents.
In 1996, in response to a FOIA request, Greenewald received nearly 250 files from the DIA regarding UFOs. Supposedly, everything they had on the topic. However, several of the files were heavily redacted, meaning that there were blacked out sections, presumably, because those portions contained information that is still considered classified.
Occasionally, Greenewald requests that these files undergo a Mandatory Declassification Review (MDR). The government is then supposed to review the previously declassified document to determine if redacted material can be unredacted, due to the information that had previously been blacked out having since been declassified.
It was an MDR of a classified document about spy planes that allowed the termArea 51 to be unredacted, thus making the existence of the super secret Area 51 military base official. Of course, that location had already been famous in UFO circles and popculture.
In 2014, Greenewald requested an MDR for the DIA documents he had obtained in 1996. In his inquiry, Greenewald included links to download the files he had received from the DIA which he now wanted reviewed.
Months later, in mid-2015, Greenewald received a reply that the links he had provided did not work, so the case would be suspended. The responses by the DIA are actually a bit confusing, but it appears once Greenewald's links could be accessed, the files he requested were not found.
The DIA wrote, "It appears the FOIA case files have been purged from the FOIA database."
The DIA asked Greenewald to provide the specific names of the files for them to "move forward in conducting a review."
Confused by the request, given that the file names are on the files themselves, Greenewald asked for clarification.
He was told, "The related FOIA case has been purged, the documents could not be identified and/or located."
The DIA officer reiterated, "We would need the titles in order to conduct a good faith effort for our search."
Frustrated, via social media, Greenewald wrote me, "The letter states that, despite me GIVING them the documents, they can't find them, and want exact titles."
He interprets the phrase "good faith effort" to mean they will make another effort, but they already had that information and could not find the documents, so the search is useless. Without the original non-redacted files, the DIA will not be able to conduct an MDR, and whatever information that was in those files that was blacked out is -- officially -- lost forever.
This isn't the first time this has happened to Greenewald. In 2014, he requested an MDR for the National Security Agency's (NSA) UFO files, which were part of a high profile court case.
In the late 70s, the Citizens Against UFO Secrecy (CAUS), headed by lawyer Peter Gersten, sought UFO files from several government agencies via a FOIA request. The NSA refused to release their files, so CAUS sued.
The NSA had a large amount of UFO information, not necessarily because it was investigating UFOs, but because it monitors communications worldwide as part of its regular duties. These files are called communications intelligence (COMINT). Among this large amount of data, there were hundreds of files referring to UFOs. However, the NSA felt they should remain classified.
In 1980, Eugene F. Yeates, chief of the Office of Policy for the NSA, submitted a 21-page document to the judge overseeing the case, Federal Judge Gerhart A. Gesell, as to why these files should remain classified. This document is often referred to as the "Yeates affidavit." It, too, was classified.
Although Gesell did not have the clearance to read the documents in question, the Yeates affidavit convinced him that the NSA files should stay classified. He wrote, "The public interest in disclosure is far outweighed by the sensitive nature of the materials and the obvious effect on national security their release may well entail."
When the Yeates affidavit was released, it was heavily redacted. UFO researcher Stanton Friedman shows a page from the document to demonstrate government UFO secrecy, and as he says, this goes over well on television where a simple image can be very effective when making a point.
A heavily redacted page from the Yeates affidavit. (Credit: NSA)
Eventually, in 1997, due to laws making it more difficult to keep files over 25 years old classified, the NSA released a less redacted Yeates affidavit and 156 UFO documents. As Friedman explains it, the affidavit was originally about 75 percent blacked out, the second version only about 20 percent blacked out. However, the UFO documents are heavily redacted.
The NSA might have seen Friedman's talks or television interviews, because instead of mostly blacking out the text, this time they largely whited it out, making it much less visually poignant.
In response to his 2014 MDR for the NSA UFO files, Greenewald was told the unredacted files were lost.
He writes, "NSA said they only have the redacted [files], and 'lost' the originals... as you can see -- DIA is using the same excuse, with the safety note they will try again... asking me for stuff they already have."
Greenewald says he has sent the DIA the titles of the documents, although he's not very hopeful it will help. If it could not find the files with the titles and the content of the documents that is currently available, it's not likely to find them with the titles alone.
The question is, were the files actually "lost," or, like in the recent premiere episode of the new X-Files mini-series, were the files spirited away by some other secret, nefarious third party? Stay tuned.
John Greenewald will present on these files and more government UFO secrets at the 2016 International UFO Congress. You can find out more about his talk here.
Find out more about these files and their relation to recent articles from the CIA on UFOs in the following video.

Whistleblower about to 'lift lid on 1000s of UFO files' is GENUINE, says ex-MoD man
Whistleblower about to 'lift lid on 1000s of UFO files' is GENUINE, says ex-MoD man
A FORMER US Naval officer who claims his secrecy agreement with the American Government has expired is vowing to lift the lid on thousands of top-secret UFO files he claims to have seen.
Retired Colonel Charles Halt, the most senior former US servicemen to go public about UFOs and Rendlesham Forest
The man, who says he was a third-class petty officer at the Naval Telecommunications Center within NAS Moffett Field from February 1986 to October 1989, also claims he can shed light on the mysterious mass-UFO sighting involving military personal in 1980.
He has yet to be named, but a former British MoD UFO investigator confirmed to Express.co.uk the man is a genuine source, creatinga flurry of excitement within the UFO disclosure community.
Nick Pope, who was charged by the MoD with investigating baffling UK UFO cases, including the Rendlesham incident, said: "I've actually had some personal communication with this individual, and have no doubts about his background.
"It's clear from the language he uses and the information he has that he's a genuine insider."
But Mr Pope stopped short of encouraging the whistleblower to come outinto the open.
He added: "While my own secrecy oath means I can't encourage anyone to divulge classified information without proper authority, I'm obviously very interested in his story.
"As I conducted the MoD's cold case review of the Rendlesham Forest incident I'm particularly keen to hear about anything that would shed new light on this case."
NEWSINTERNATIONAL
News of the World reports of Rendlesham at the time
The UK alien sighting happened when three US officers based at RAF Bentwaters claimed a "triangular shaped craft" landed in neighbouring woods in the early hours of December 26 1980.
It has led to several reported sightings on the night by the public and several books and conspiracies.
The man, who has not been publicly named, is claiming the US National Security Agency (NSA) and the UK Government had a going project looking at UFO sightings, including Rendlesham in the 1980s.
He has filed a report to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) - the world's biggest official alien investigation organisation based in the US, saying he wants to help reach "disclosure".
The disclosure movement among the UFO fraternity, is calling for all world Governments to make public all their top secret files on UFO and flying saucer visitations.
In the report filed on Saturday he said: "I'm not reporting a UFO sighting rather a UFO related experience.
"I have copies of my security clearances.
"I personally handled, viewed and delivered thousands of documents involving UFO/ET Projects.
"My secrecy agreement with the US Government expired in October 2014.
I have copies of my security clearances. I personally handled, viewed and delivered thousands of documents involving UFO/ET Projects.
US Navy alleged whistleblower
"At this point in my life I would like to share my knowledge in hopes that someone will be able to use it effectively towards disclosure."
He said he was given TS SBI/ESI NATO/SIOP Compartmental Security Clearance, which is Top Secret clearance for working in Special Background Investigation, Single Integrated Operation Plan, Exceptionally Sensitive Information and with NATO.
He added: "In addition we had a GS11 employee who was transferred from a Joint US/UK communication station north of London after working at that site for a dozen years.
"He said it was an National Security Agency (NSA)/UK facility tasked with tracking UFO including Rendalsham Forest Incident.
"He said that UFO/ET were real and that hopefully disclosure would happen in my lifetime since he was in his early 60s at the time."
In the report he said: "I was required to deliver TS Code word designation COSMIC to SRI, ESL/SYLVANIA, LOCKHEED SKUNKWORKS, TRW, RATHEON, BERKELEY LABS, LAWRENCE LIVERMORE LABS, and other think tanks throughout Silicon valley."

Researchers Discover Colossal Underwater Structure of Artificial Origin
Researchers Discover Colossal Underwater Structure of Artificial Origin
A notable discovery has been made by researchers recently. With the help of Google Earth, they bumped into a huge, flat platform siting on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. Could this anomalous structure hide a well preserved secret of the human race?
Approximately 6 miles off the coast of Point Dume in Malibu, California, lies this odd-looking platform submerged under 2,000 feet of water. But what is so strange about it, you might ask? Well, first of all, the oval-shaped design looks like it doesn’t belong on the ocean floor because it’s too smooth. If we also consider the colossal proportions of this, being almost 3 miles wide, the idea of this being an anomaly becomes even clearer.
Apart from this, other bizarre particularities can be observed. The polished top appears to be sustained by 6 large submerged pillars, and if we closely look at the design to the right side, we’ll notice another intriguing row of symmetrically-aligned trenches. Could this be a mere coincidence, or could this underwater structure actually harbor a secret base of some sort?
Jimmy Church, who hosts “Fade to Black” on the Dark Matter Radio Network has dubbed this finding “The Holy Grail of UFO/USO that researchers have been looking for over the last 40 years.” He received the peculiar image from a UFO researcher named Maxwell. Astonished by what he was witnessing, Church then asked graphic designer Dale Romero to investigate the site and capture as many angled images of the anomaly as he could.
I need him to find a way to get it under and above the water, Church said. My first impression was that it was Greek, it looked artificial and didn’t look natural. When you’re looking at it from above, it’s nearly perfect oval shape. In the natural surroundings, nothing is symmetrical. Everything is eroded and covered in rocks and sloping and peaking, and right there, for 2 miles, it is a perfect oval with a black separation or outline to it.
It just stands out that it has to be some type of roof, Church added. It’s not unlike a dome stadium or a covered indoor race track or an Olympic arena – it’s got that feel to it. It looks like a perfect oval manmade structure sitting on a construction site.
According to UFO researchers, the perfect symmetry of the above mentioned features, together with the polished top and colossal pillars sustaining it, makes this without a doubt, a secret underwater alien base. Now, you probably ask why is it of extraterrestrial origins and not human? Simply because if it were of human origins, it would probably belong to the military, and from what we’ve realized so far, every base of the military is blurred on Google Earth so that it cannot be found for obvious security reasons. However, this particular spot on the coast of Malibu, California, holds no restrictions whatsoever.
Some UFO analysts even compared the perfectly aligned trenches to a network of pipes and power lines that follow into the structure, insinuating that the anomalous design could be the masterpiece of an ancient and advanced race that once thrived in the area before it got swallowed by water after a great meltdown which occur in the arctic region.
Whatever may be the case, the spectacular discovery offers unique insight into the depths of the ocean, revealing never-before seen features of submerged structures that could after all hold carefully-preserved secrets of humanity.
Whether this is an artificial alien base, or the remnants of a lost civilization, we are yet to find out, but until an underwater expedition is assigned to inspect the mysterious place, we can only speculate on its true nature. If you plan to see it with your own eyes, here are the coordinates leading down there: 34° 1’23.31″N 118° 59’45.64″W. Also, the video below will offer additional information. Stay vigilant and help us spread the word. Everyone deserves to know about this.

The Kolbrin Bible-3,600 Year-Old Manuscript to Rewrite Humanity’s History
The Kolbrin Bible-3,600 Year-Old Manuscript to Rewrite Humanity’s History
Surpassing the test of time, this 3,600 year-old Bible speaks of long-forgotten or unknown events from the past, some of them even predating our written history, but also warns about the impending cataclysms that are yet to come.
The Kolbrin Bible, also dubbed the Bronzebook or Coelbook, is the first Judaic-Christian document that combines the events depicted by the currently accepted Bible, speaking of uncharted episodes from humanity’s ancient past that have been purposely hidden by the current Christians textbooks.
It is the only remaining document of its kind to narrate the entire story of the human genesis, from the first people who walked on Earth prior to the arrival of Adam and Eve, to the great Egyptian rulers. According to this ancient text, the term “Fallen Angel” mentioned in Genesis refers to mortal men who married the daughters of Adam and Eve and had children together, instead of the common belief of holy or angelic beings.
It’s also mentioned that these men descended from a highly advanced earthly society which survived the early cataclysms by hiding in underground shelters. They were known as “The Sons of God” and the above-mentioned catastrophe came as a result of their actions. Some researchers even link this story to that of Atlantis and Lemuria, the legendary civilizations believed to have ended after an impending cataclysm hit them.
Composed of eleven books, the Kolbrin Bible offers extensive knowledge of our past, comprising five books written by the Celtic mystics after the death of Jesus Christ, and six books comprised of ancient Egyptian scrolls written by scribes after the events that followed the Hebrew Exodus in Egypt.
A page from the Coelbook
It is thought that Joseph of Arimathea, great uncle of Jesus, succeeded in rescuing the Egyptian scrolls from the conqueror Julius Caesar who invaded Egypt and set fire to the greatest library in the world at that time – the Library of Alexandria, destroying over 700,000 scrolls with priceless knowledge gathered throughout the years. Dogmas dating back before the known written history had burnt that day, but fortunately for us, there were some people who preserved a small portion of that forbidden knowledge.
Joseph and the followers of Jesus later brought the scrolls from Judea to Britain in a desperate attempt to preserve their context. They secretly kept the manuscripts inside the Glastonbury Abbey in Somerset County, in the southwest of Britain for many hundred years. However, a ruthless fire engulfed the abbey in 1184, furtherly eradicating from the preserved scrolls. Fortunately for us, some of the manuscripts were carved into thin bronze sheets and deposited in cooper-clad containers.
After this event, the bronze sheets became known as “The Bronzebook of Britain” and were later combined with another similar collection of forbidden knowledge entitled “The Coelbook,” representing the work of the mystic Celts, wisemen with extended knowledge in the fields of astronomy, medicine, religion, mathematics, and oratory. Much of their teachings remain preserved in the Kolbrin Bible.
According to Crystalinks, The Kolbrin is a collection of ancient manuscripts said to have been salvaged from the Glastonbury Abbey arson in 1184. The Kolbrin said to have a connection with Jesus historically through Joseph of Arimathea, they have been discussed online by James McCanney, Alex Merklinger and others.
It has been rumored that Nicola Tesla acquired some knowledge from this book according to James McCanney. In the past, only a select few, some might say an elite group, have had access to this book. Now, the current caretakers of this ancient knowledge believe ‘these are the days of decision when humankind stands at the crossroad,’ and are making the book available subject to explicit conditions.
The book also contains some unique prophecies. One of them even describes how the notorious Planet X caused The Great Flood, thus linking both events in a never-before-seen scenario:
Then, with the dawning, men saw an awesome sight. There, riding on a black rolling cloud came the Destroyer, newly released from the confines of the sky vaults, and she raged about the heavens, for it was her day of judgement. The beast opened its mouth and belched forth fire and hot stones and a vile smoke. It covered the whole sky above and the meeting place of Earth and Heaven could no longer be seen. In the evening, the places of the stars were changed, they rolled across the sky to new stations, then the floodwaters came.
The floodgates of heaven were opened and the foundations of Earth were broken apart. The surrounding waters poured over the land and broke upon the mountains. The storehouses of the winds burst their bolts asunder, so storms and whirlwinds were loosed to hurl themselves upon Earth. In the seething waters and howling gales, all buildings were destroyed, trees were uprooted and mountains cast down. There was a time of great heat, then came a bitter cold. The waves over the waters did not rise and fall but seethed and swirled, there was an awful sound above.
This curious translation of the text offers a unique perspective over a series of events which can be found in different holy books, however, the happenings are linked together and appear to contradict with every accepted belief so far. Could this mysterious compilation of forbidden knowledge rewrite the history of humanity as we know it? Stay tuned for more exclusive insight from the Kolbrin in the upcoming days.

Scientists confirm: Advanced alien civilizations possible in 50 galaxies
Scientists confirm: Advanced alien civilizations possible in 50 galaxies
Just imagine the possibilities out there.
Leading Astronomers and Scientists have stated that Advanced alien life is possible in 50 galaxies,, after finding they are emitting unusually high levels of radiation. A team of scientists at Penn State University in the US, has been studying observations from Nasa’s WISE orbiting observatory looking for traces of the huge energy produced by technologies from sophisticated extra-terrestrial races.
NASA’s WISE orbiting observatory looking for traces of life out there.
Just as Planet Earth sends heat and light deep out into space, researchers say a similar signature would be emitted by other advanced civilisations. And after scouring 100,000 galaxies they have come across 50 which hold promise. “We found about 50 galaxies that have unusually high levels of mid-infrared radiation,” said Roger Griffith, a researcher at Penn State and the lead author of the paper “Our follow-up studies of those galaxies may reveal if the origin of their radiation results from natural astronomical processes, or if it could indicate the presence of a highly advanced civilization.”
After scouring 100,000 galaxies they have come across at least 50 which hold promise. “We found about 50 galaxies that have unusually high levels of mid-infrared radiation,” said Roger Griffith, a researcher at Penn State and the lead author of the paper.
“Our follow-up studies of those galaxies may reveal if the origin of their radiation results from natural astronomical processes, or if it could indicate the presence of a highly advanced civilization.” Roger Griffith, a researcher at Penn State
Theoretical physicist Freeman Dyson originally proposed in the 1960s that advanced alien civilizations beyond Earth could be detected by the tell tale evidence of their mid-infrared emissions. It was not until space-based telescopes like the WISE satellite that it became possible to make sensitive measurements of this radiation emitted by objects in space.
“The idea behind our research is that, if an entire galaxy had been colonized by an advanced spacefaring civilization, the energy produced by that civilization’s technologies would be detectable in mid-infrared wavelengths — exactly the radiation that the WISE satellite was designed to detect for other astronomical purposes,” said Dr Jason Wright, an assistant professor of astronomy and astrophysics at the Center for Exoplanets and Habitable Worlds at Penn State University, who conceived of and initiated the research.
“Whether an advanced spacefaring civilization uses the large amounts of energy from its galaxy’s stars to power computers, space flight, communication, or something we can’t yet imagine, fundamental thermodynamics tells us that this energy must be radiated away as heat in the mid-infrared wavelengths.
“This same basic physics causes your computer to radiate heat while it is turned on.
“As we look more carefully at the light from these galaxies,” said Wright, “we should be able to push our sensitivity to alien technology down to much lower levels, and to better distinguish heat resulting from natural astronomical sources from heat produced by advanced technologies. This pilot study is just the beginning.”
Could there be civilisations in our next door neighbour Galaxy ‘Andromeda
The team also found new phenomenon in our very own galaxy, The Milky Way. Among the exciting discoveries are a bright nebula around the nearby star 48 Librae, and a cluster of objects easily detected by WISE in a patch of sky that appears totally black when viewed with telescopes that detect only visible light.
“This cluster is probably a group of very young stars forming inside a previously undiscovered molecular cloud, and the 48 Librae nebula apparently is due to a huge cloud of dust around the star, but both deserve much more careful study,” Matthew Povich, an assistant professor of astronomy at Cal Poly Pomona said.
The research team’s first paper about its Glimpsing Heat from Alien Technologies Survey (G-HAT), is published in the Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series.
Perhaps we are looking for where our Alien Visitor’s are travelling from….
U.I.P Summary
Come on let’s get real the Universe is infested with life out there and we can not rely too much on our present day technology to search out other civilizations…..because let’s be honest even the scientists have stated recently that they don’t really know much about anything in reference to space the final Frontier!
This is an exciting discovery and who knows what advanced civilizations lie out there in an infinite Universe!
But one things for sure, if Aliens out there are far more advanced than us then they WILL know where we are in space and probably have for a very long time!
Perhaps we are like a sight seeing holiday for Aliens out there?!…. (kind of a U.I.P joke)

PROJECT REDSUN: THEY WENT TO MARS WITHOUT TELLING US
PROJECT REDSUN: THEY WENT TO MARS WITHOUT TELLING US
How much do we know about Mars? Or is it “how much we don’t know about it” a better question to ask?
According to several sources, the distant Red Planet meant an important deal to NASA ever since the late 1950s. As the Apollo program was coming to an end, and with the entire population bathed in excitement because of the huge step humanity took towards progress and innovation, the space agency already had bigger plans for the near future.
Apparently, at that time (in 1970s more precisely) NASA focused more on a manned mission to Mars. As crazy as this sounds, it might prove to be true, and here is why: 50 years ago from now, in the summer of 1965, Mariner 4 became the first successful mission to come near the surface of the Red Planet. The photos returned by the space module caused an immense stir among NASA’s personnel, as it revealed never before seen features of the bizarre “red dot” that could be observed from Earth.
What they learned in 1965 made the agency want to send astronauts there ASAP in order to colonize the Red Planet and who knows what other reasons they had. Therefore, NASA secretly funded a project similar to the Apollo missions which they codenamed Project REDSUN. Its aim was apparently to colonize the planet, but after analyzing the case, it seems that they had some other thoughts as well. Is it possible that NASA encountered some form of intelligent life on Mars?
In 1971, one year before the final Apollo mission, Mariner 9 was orbiting Mars and managed to photograph the entirety of its surface, thus providing conclusive images with ancient riverbeds, a 3,000 mile-long grand canyon, gigantic volcanoes, and other artificial-like structures that we can also see for ourselves today.
What seems rather interesting is the fact that NASA had a free hand to operate under the ongoing lunar exploration hysteria. Another curious thing to note is the fact that the agency was overly prepared to send a second mission to Mars, as Richard Zurek, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s leading scientist revealed:
It was a good thing we had other spacecraft ready, as it might have stopped Mars exploration for a while. The pace of exploration would have slowed – we certainly wouldn’t have had anything as ambitious as the mission in 1970s.
Mariner 9’s photo of Nirgal Vallis, the largest valley network on Mars
It was a planet that seemed similar enough to the Earth that you could imagine it having supported life in the past… We still don’t know for sure if life did develop there.”
In the years that followed, several exploration modules were sent to Mars, probably because of the unimaginable discoveries that were previously unearthed. However, first photos from the actual surface of the planet were taken by the Viking 1 mission and were revealed on July 20, 1976. One day later, the first color picture taken by the Viking 2 lander was available. Considering all the above, we can’t help but wonder what happened between 1970 and 1976, and why the space agency didn’t officially admit the landing of a module on the Martian surface until then?
On August 28, 1973, a secret mission funded by NASA and the US Department of Defense was to depart towards the distant planet Mars under the name of Project Redsun. According to recently leaked documents, the crew consisted of American astronaut Edwin E. “Buzz” Aldrin, Neil Armstrong and a fellow comrade from the USSR named Vladimir Ilyushin.
The video below was supposedly leaked from a collection of 16mm archived footage used in the training of NASA astronauts and Air Force pilots. The video reveals how astronauts aboard a spacecraft considered to be the ISV Columbus, are slowly leaving behind Earth’s view to welcome a new, more dusty sight of planet Mars. Some features of the Red Planet are clearly visible during the orbital flight, including the famous South Pole of Mars.
Mission control was established at Cocoa Beach, Florida and it coordinated Project Redsun’s first three launches. All subsequent missions were relocated and administrated from Area 51.
After the video was made public, people begun to question its authenticity, and as usual, NASA denied any form of implication in a manned mission to Mars, considering the footage to be a ridiculous forgery. While people couldn’t accept the agency’s potential for such a quest, seeing as it was 1970 back then, the above footage didn’t receive too much attention. However, it all changed in April 2011 when more evidence was brought to light by an Italian journalist and UFO researcher Luca Scantamburlo. During a press conference, they presented a testimony revealing the details of project Redsun.
I introduce to you a press-release testimony I have written to discuss the presumed existence of a hush-hush military space program called “Project Redsun”, carried out in the 70s of the last century to build a stationary base on Mars, the Red Planet. My source of information – named by me ‘bravoxsierra24’ – had contacted me by email. It is possible to reproduce the pages of the press release, and the picture here presented as well.
The below documents back up this seemingly crazy but not at all impossible hypothesis of an early manned mission to Mars. If this happened indeed, we can think of so many reasons why NASA would engage in such a secret mission. What could NASA had encountered there? Was there an ancient alien base or did they met with intelligent beings who still inhabit the planet? Considering many other possibilities, the reason might exceed all our earthly expectations, and who knows, maybe one they we will find out. Are we prepared for this kind of disclosure?
The group said what they believe was a flying saucer appeared as they stopped to photograph some motorbikes on a bridge.
The terrified family, who have not yet been fully identified, posted the photographs online, causing a stir among conspiracists.
One of the members, named only as Argentinian Verónica, said she took a photo of a group of bikers crossing the bridge when she saw a "strange object" in the sky.

The family said the appearance of the object terrified them
She said: "I screamed. Everyone looked and we saw it some 50 metres away, for an instant, just when I took the photo. After that, it was no longer there."
She said then they all ran to the car for safety.
She added: "We took off immediately. We shut everything because it truly frightened us."
I screamed. Everyone looked and we saw it some 50 metres away, for an instant, just when I took the photo. After that, it was no longer there."
UFO "witness" Verónica
The family said the incident happened at La Rinconada, near Junín de los Andes in Argentina.
Not everyone is convinced by the story, including die-hard UFO buff Scott C Waring, who edits UFO Sightings Daily, and is convinced he has proved Mars is teeming with life forms from baboons, to bears, giant mice and worms.
He said: "I have a slight problem with her description.
"I have witnessed UFOs before, several times, once with dozens of soldiers in the parking lot. None of us panicked...none of us said...run!
"Usually people stare as long as possible, trying to understand what they are seeing."
But another "UFO witness" posted in response: "The first time I saw a UFO I was with my boyfriend and I was scared! He wanted to stand there and stare at it but the closer it got...I admit I was afraid."
Another added: "Wow, if I had seen a giant black arrow in the sky I would have been freaked out too."

Dubbed “Britain’s Roswell”, the Rendlesham Forest incident, which took place over a series of nights in December 1980, continues to fascinate UFO enthusiasts and conspiracy theorists. It is easy to understand why. Consider the following three statements, for example:
1) “This was not some vague ‘lights in the sky’ sighting – the UFO actually landed.” – Nick Pope, a Ministry of Defence employee from 1985 to 2006.
2) “When I arrived [at the scene], it was going in and out through the trees and at one stage it was hovering.” – Sgt. Adrian Bustinza, a security police commander who investigated the incident at the time.
3) “Okay, we’re looking at the thing; we’re probably about two to three hundred yards away. It looks like an eye winking at you... And the flash is so bright to the starscope that it almost burns your eye.” – Taken from the Halt tape, recorded on December 27 1980 by United States Air Force lieutenant colonel Charles Halt.
Only last month, a dog walker uploaded fresh footage of unidentified lights in the sky above Rendlesham Forest, while a new film on the subject, produced by long-time Suffolk resident and Rendlesham Forest incident expert Daniel Simpson, has recently been released. There is even an official UFO trail for walkers to follow through Rendlesham Forest. But what actually happened? And, 35 years after the event, are we any closer to unravelling the mystery?
As the years have passed, the facts have become increasingly hazy, as statements change and new witnesses come forward. But what we do know for sure is that, in the early hours of December 26 1980, US military personnel (sections of the US Air Force were temporarily stationed at RAF bases in Woodbridge and Bentwaters) spotted strange lights above Rendlesham Forest.
One of these men, John Burroughs, accompanied by his supervisor and one other individual, went to investigate the blue, red, orange and white lights. In his subsequent witness statement, published in 1981, Burroughs explains: “As we went down the east-gate road and the road that leads into the forest, the lights were moving back and they appeared to stop in a bunch of trees... Also, the woods lit up and you could hear the farm animals making a lot of noises, and there was a lot of movement in the woods. All three of us hit the ground and whatever it was started moving back towards the open field… We got up to a fence that separated the trees from the open field. You could see the lights down by a farmer’s house. We climbed over the fence and started walking toward the red and blue lights and they just disappeared.”
Jim Penniston, who accompanied Burroughs into Rendlesham Forest on December 26, claims to have encountered a craft, covered in hieroglyphic-like characters. “I estimated it to be about three metres tall and about three metres wide at the base,” Penniston later explained. “No landing gear was apparent, but it seemed like she was on fixed legs. I moved a little closer. I had already taken all 36 pictures on my roll of film. I walked around the craft, and finally, I walked right up to the craft. I noticed the fabric of the shell was more like a smooth, opaque, black glass.”
Burroughs does not recall this. Indentations on the forest floor, as well as damage to the trees in the area where the lights had been spotted, were found the following morning, however. Radiation levels recorded at the site of the indentations were also unusually high.
In the book Encounter in Rendlesham Forest, which was published last year, Penniston writes: “I left the forest a different man… I was in awe of the technology and yes, a knowing that it was not an aircraft which could have been manufactured in 1980 or even now.” Both Penniston and Burroughs have since suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Two nights later, a different set of military personnel experienced a similar series of events. On this occasion, when the lights were spotted, Lieutenant Colonel Charles Halt was prepared. A pragmatic character, Halt intended to disprove the wild rumours swirling around RAF bases Woodbridge and Bentwaters. Arming himself with a recording device, he set out to investigate. The subsequent audio tape is now considered one of the most valuable pieces of evidence in the Rendlesham Forest incident.

The transcript of the tape runs to some 18 minutes but includes statements from Halt such as: “I see it too... it’s back again... it’s coming this way... there’s no doubt about it... this is weird... it looks like an eye winking at you... it almost burns your eyes... he’s coming toward us now... now we’re observing what appears to be a beam coming down to the ground... one object still hovering over Woodbridge base... beaming down”. Halt has since given interviews in which he claims that these occurrences were picked up by British radar. “I didn’t know this until recently,” he told AOL News. “Because people have come forward after they’ve retired. There were two radar confirmations.”
The following night, December 28, one final group of men claim to have encountered something out of the ordinary in Rendlesham Forest. Larry Warren, an 18-year-old soldier who was not even at either RAF base on the night of the first incident, was sent out on patrol with Sgt Adrian Bustinza and a number of other military personnel. Sometime after 11pm, the men departed their trucks and headed towards the field where lights had been seen on the previous two nights.
There, Warren claims to have seen “disaster preparedness officers out here with geiger counters, going in an almost half-clockwise motion around this thing on the ground.” A small red light was then seen approaching from the direction of the coast. “It moved in a downward arc, so fast. [It] stopped and hovered about 20 feet off the ground,” said Warren. “It was the size of a basketball, [an] American basketball. [It was] self-illuminated, not quite red, yet that’s the closest I can describe it.”
Things were about to get even stranger, though. This red light suddenly exploded and a craft appeared on the forest floor. According to Warren, it had “no windows, no markings, no flag or country of origin. Nothing. You could hardly look at it head on, and if you looked at it through the side of your peripheral vision you’d get a shape of it… and there it was, clear as a bell.”
A 1983 News of the World headline about Rendlesham sightings (Ian Ridpath/NoW)
At this stage, Warren and Bustinza were asked to retreat by a senior man. From a distance, they then claim to have witnessed Wing Commander Gordon Williams approach the craft and encounter some alien being with “what looked like eyes, facial features, bright clothing and some other device.” Warren is clear that a “silent stand-off”, rather than any communication, took place.
At around 4.30am, Warren returned to his base but Bustinza claims to have seen the craft depart. “When it took off, it was, like, hovering. It went up and, like, took off at about a forty-five-degree angle, and if you would have blinked, you would have missed it… And we got a cold draft of air that lasted about a good ten seconds. You know, like when you get a good blow of dust or wind. No noise though; I do remember that.”
It is understood that almost half of all UFO correspondence directed at the Ministry of Defence relates to the Rendlesham Forest incident. Despite claims of a cover-up, the MoD’s stance has never wavered. It states: “No evidence was found of any threat to the defence of the United Kingdom, and no further investigations were carried out. No further information has come to light which alters our view that the sightings of these lights was of no defence significance.”
Daniel Simpson takes a different view, however. The director of The Rendlesham UFO Incident, a fictionalised account of the story set in the modern day and filmed on location in Rendlesham Forest, is convinced that either there has been a military cover-up or that something extra-terrestrial occurred in December 1980. And moreover, he believes he has uncovered further evidence to prove it. While filming in Rendlesham Forest – “It does have a very strong atmosphere of something strange” – he asked the Forestry Commission to investigate a series of hatches, which Simpson describes as “mysterious”.
“I got the Forestry Commission to tow one of those hatches off with a four wheel drive and there’s a ladder going down,” he explains, as we discuss his film. “Now, they will tell you that those are drainage systems for the airfield but it’s a very elaborate drainage system.”
A drawing from Jim Penniston's original witness statement
Simpson believes that “the twin bases [RAF Woodbridge and Bentwaters] are connected by tunnels underneath, which isn’t that far out a thing to suggest, because a lot of these bases do have an underground facility, especially as it’s a nuclear facility. You don’t keep nuclear weapons on ground level, they have to drop down.”
He continues: “I recently heard a very interesting story of a guy that went up to the Bentwaters air base and, because it’s privately owned, some of those buildings are rented out to people. A company up there wanted to have their internet sorted out and this guy dug down and – he was a telecom guy – he came back and he was sheet white. He couldn’t believe it. He said he’d just come across these cables, two foot down, and they were cables delivering such a powerful internet connection – but they were cables from 1980. I haven’t ever told anyone that story. They [the cables] were from 1980 and yet they were so in advance of what we’ve even got now. I’m told that all the time what we get [technologically] is much behind what they [the military] actually know.”
So what, I wonder, is the truth? Simpson appears conflicted about whether this is a military cover-up at a nuclear facility or something even more alarming. “I honestly believe something very strange went on there and I believe that somewhere is the evidence to prove it but that’s hidden away. I think it’s an extra-terrestrial encounter. I do.”
I put a series of theories to Simpson, which I hope might explain away the idea that extra-terrestrial life landed in a forest in Suffolk 35 years ago. But he bats them all away. Could the lights have come from nearby Orford Ness lighthouse, for example? “The lighthouse theory is rubbish,” he scoffs. “Lighthouses don’t fly down into forests, split up into five different lights and zap off into space at Mach-3. They don’t move through the trees and get mistaken by up to 20 witnesses from the United States Air Force.”
Daniel Simpson's film, The Rendlesham UFO Incident, was shot on location in Rendlesham Forest

Extraordinary UFO sightings from the US Air Force's Project Blue Book
Extraordinary UFO sightings from the US Air Force's Project Blue Book
Four remarkable stories from the new online database of 130,000 pages of UFO sightings
A photographic negative allegedly showing a fleet of unidentified craft in the skies above Lubbock, Texas
By Morgan Meaker
Between 1947 and 1969, the US Air Force meticulously recorded over 10,000 incidents involving Unidentified Flying Objects. Inside the Project Blue Book archive, which has recently been put online, witnesses described objects as "concave as a soup bowl", "onion-shaped" and resembling "a frosty silvery football" shooting across the sky.
A seed salesman was driving when he saw a flash of light. When he moved closer to the light, his car stopped working.
The light came from a nearby riverbed where he saw an object, resembling a balloon. When he approached the space ship, another flash of light paralysed him.
He was unable to move as two men appeared and began to search him – they asked if he was armed.
After the search, he was able to move again. He asked the men if he could take a closer look at the UFO. They agreed. Inside, he met four men and two women.
They all spoke in German accents and seemed to move around on magnetic fields. The sides, bottom and floor of the ship were perfectly transparent.
After around thirty minutes, they said goodbye. After leaving the UFO, it rose 150ft into the air and disappeared.
At the same time as the sighting, a farmer’s truck broke down two miles away. During the investigation, a blue stain was found on trees near to the scene and green oil was found covering dry leaves.
However the man was assessed by psychiatrists who said his “mental condition” would enjoy publicity. He was later committed to the state mental hospital in Hastings, Nebraska.
An Argentinian truck driver was looking for a hotel to spend the night when he saw small red lights, four miles from Isla Verde.
When he got closer to the lights, his engine cut out. Hoping he might find somewhere to stay, he left the car taking with him a blanket and a gun.
He thought he saw the lights of a vehicle. However these lights disappeared and in their place he saw powerful rays of red light coming towards him.
There was a smell of gas that made his eyes and face sting. Frightened, his knees gave way and he shot at the light with his revolver.
In response “the light gave out a sound, like the rapid braking of a car and went backward a few meters”.
He fled into a field looking for a shelter however from a hill two red lights appeared which “reflected” his steps.
The red light continued to follow him as he walked around, confused. Then a blue lit “vineyard shaped vehicle” appeared.
He said it had two small windows and inside he could see someone “but I didn’t see legs or faces, just a body type form”.
Six hundred feet from the object he saw four human beings “or whatever they were”. He asked them questions but nobody replied.
They just walked beside him. They were 6'5" tall with a sparkling uniform.
One of them came very close with a triangular object in his hand. The truck driver was again afraid and so fired another shot and it was “as if a shadow had fallen backwards”.
They returned to the vehicle and the large object passed him overhead. A blue light however did not leave the man until he reached the city.
The investigation confirmed that the truck was at the place the man had said it was and his footprints were also found.
However the US Air Force received only second hand evidence from the Argentinians and decided it was too expensive and too much time had passed to continue the investigation.
Horace Burns was driving his station wagon when he saw a huge metallic object flying in the sky.
It was crossing the highway about 200ft ahead of him when his engine cut dead.
For approximately 90 seconds, the UFO landed lightly, “like a bubble”, in a small field. Burns said it resembled an “upside down toy top” and was about 90ft high.
There was a blue glow around the base of the machine.
The sighting was investigated by a professor at a college in Virginia who passed on his research to the US Air Force.
He said he picked up “tremendously high reading of radiation” at the scene and a 14 year old boy said he had also seen a large UFO travelling in the same direction. The boy’s parents corroborated his story.
The Project Blue Book report reads that there was a lack of evidence and placed the sighting in the psychological category.
A man was riding his bike on the highway when he saw what looked like a “very powerful flare” and four silhouettes that resembled human beings.
Afraid of an ambush, he ran away and stumbled on a nearby house, where he met a couple and told them what he had seen.
Together, the three watched the light as if blinked from white to dull red. Near to the light they saw three men, about 4'9" tall.
They were immobile, dressed in greyish, beige outfits. The light faded and flew away. When they returned to the scene, with the police, they found the highway had been marked with forms, “black as the casting of costly tar”.
The substance was soft and slightly stuck to the ground.
Although the witnesses were described as “very trustworthy people” in the investigation, the report was classed as “unreliable”.
I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't have their own theory about what these enormous "black delta" craft might be. We've all heard about them by now and these craft have become the subject of quite a few UFO documentaries, books and internet articles. A quick search of youtube yields dozens of surprisingly clear videos from multiple states, but they seem to be concentrated in Pennsylvania, New York state (the Hudson Valley region), Illinois and of course, southern California. Seeing giant delta shaped and boomerang shaped craft near Bakersfield, CA is at the very least unsurprising given the plethora of black budget aerospace companies that call the area home. However, NY, PA and IL make much less sense if these craft are indeed 'ours.'
This leads me to several important questions that anyone researching this topic should ask:
1) IF there are indeed delta craft in excess of 300 feet in diameter flying low above the heads of stunned onlookers in the Hudson Valley, where exactly are these craft based out of? Upstate NY and PA do not have any operational airbases. The nearest candidate would be Andrews, home of Air Force One. The problem here is that aside from the AF1 hangar, there aren't any hangars at Andrews capable of stowing such a craft. Additionally, the base is surrounded on all sides by residential areas including schools and neighborhoods. Not an ideal base to store an ultra secret black budget aircraft.
2) IF these craft are military in nature, WHY on earth would you fly slowly and at times treetop-level above rural areas such as Pine Bush, NY and Harrisburg, PA? This makes zero sense from a logical standpoint. The first rule of black budget aircraft is to keep them as hidden as possible. Clearly, these delta and boomerang-shaped craft have no problem being seen, and in some cases seem to intentionally draw attention to themselves.
3) WHAT is the story with the utterly insane lighting patterns and non-FAA regulation navigational lights? I can picture a craft such as this needing to pass over a rural area en route to another destination. If so, would it not make sense to go completely dark? No lighting whatsoever? A black craft in a black sky with no lights would very likely not be noticed by the average person, yet the lighting configuration of almost all of these craft go completely against the normal pattern of military thinking.
Clearly, this phenomenon isn't a figment of people's imaginations. There have been far too many sightings in far too many states by qualified eyewitnesses to dismiss this as just one craft, or a flight of daredevil ultralight pilots in formation, or a military spy blimp. Multiple police officers observed and followed this type of craft during the now infamous Highland, Illinois incident in January of 2001. There's a great deal of data available regarding this incident which I'll go into later.
So let's take a look at some possible theories...
TR-3B "Astra"
There has been much talk of this so-called TR3B anti-gravity craft originally brought to light by the controversial Edgar Fouche. I won't go into too much detail about his credentials and questionable background, you can research that on your own here. In a nutshell, this supposedly triangular craft meets most of the criteria of a 'nearly silent, giant black delta' craft. But again, WHY would the military knowingly and willingly reveal this craft to the populace, even if it's at night, and even if it's in a rural area? Is it accidental? Is it a remotely piloted craft not responding to commands? Can you imagine the fallout if one of these craft were to crash in a populated area? None of these possibilities make any rational sense. Furthermore, the description of this craft given by Fouche and others in the aerospace industry do not exactly match descriptions given by the eyewitness's in NY, PA, IL and CA.
Military Spy Blimp
It's no secret that the military has had a distinct need for a very large low-observability surveillance platform with a long loiter time over target. A lighter-than-air vehicle with stealth capabilities would make perfect sense, and Lockheed, Boeing and Northrup Grumman have all explored this avenue (with as yet unknown results). The only military blimp to make it into the 'white world' is the U.S. Army’s Long Endurance Multi-Intelligence Vehicle (LEMV) which flew for the first time from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ on August 7th. The only problem with the airship theory is that it rules out the majority of the sightings due to the sheer speed and acceleration characteristics. A blimp cannot accelerate from a near standstill to 600+ mph "like ice on a hotplate" as one Highland, IL police officer vividly described his sighting. The slow speed and 'faint humming' sound is certainly in line with the airship theory, but the acceleration and lighting characteristics are not.
Another Type of Military Anti-Gravity Craft?
Almost all of these sightings have the earmarks of an electrogravitic craft. Extremely slow speed combined with extreme acceleration. Silent operation, aside from a low 'humming' sound. Some witnesses even describe an electrostatic charge in the atmosphere: hair standing up on their arms and heads, and even overwhelming feelings of serenity and calm which in the past have been associated with exposure to intense electromagnetic fields.
This still begs the question--why on earth would the military be flying quite possibly the most advanced piece of technology in it's inventory through the Hudson Valley, or above a series of small towns east of St. Louis? Well, in thecase of the southern Illinois incident there's always the possibility that this craft was being tested out of the Boeing Phantomworks facility located at Lambert field in St. Louis, or even out of nearby Scott AFB. A close friend of mine was stationed at Scott AFB in a senior management position during the Highland sighting. I questioned this person regarding that event and they had no recollection of any unusual activity around the base at that time. Would this person have given up any details if there HAD been activity? Perhaps... or perhaps not. Regardless, the Highland incident would have been a major black eye for the military. Having multiple law enforcement officers communicating with eachother across multiple jurisdictions about an enormous, well-lighted delta shaped craft is the last thing the military--or an aerospace manufacturer--wants.
Clues to The Origin?
One possible clue to the origin of these black triangles may be found in the testimony of Dennis Bossack, a Rhode Island resident:
Dennis reports that on February 15, 1999, a triangle passed overhead heading west to east while he was driving on Route 138 north of Woodville. He lost sight of it due to the trees. A few days later, on February 20, he and his wife were sitting in their sunroom at 11:40 PM. They were watching a fox feed on bread they had put outside, when a craft appeared heading in a southerly direction. They stepped out on the porch for a closer look. Dennis states, "The craft passed over us silently, slowly, steadily and very low. The underside of it was dimly lighted by a hazy white light, thus making it possible to see the logo. The logo was a triangle edged in yellow containing the Earth being struck by two lightning bolts with the number '1' in the right hand corner. As it approached, a feeling of serenity and calm came over us making it a wonderful feeling to watch as it passed overhead. I estimate the speed of the craft at five to ten miles and hour. The size was approximately 40 feet in length and forty feet wide at the rear of the craft with the nose of the craft forming a point. The craft looked similar to a Stealth fighter, however it was a much larger plane.* The altitude of the craft was about one hundred feet, I repeat there was not a sound from the craft and it did not even create a breeze. I would appreciate any answers you might have to as what this craft is or who it belongs to." Thanks to Dennis Bossack. Editors Note: I have spent several hours on the phone interviewing Dennis who states the logo or insignia was five feet in diameter and at the front was the Omega symbol. The two lightning strikes that penetrate Earth begin at the 11 and 1 o'clock position. A similar lightning symbol was used by Roman soldiers conquering ancient Britain. The lightning strikes could infer a discharge of atmospheric electricity or perhaps intentions of colonizing Earth. We are also receiving strange communications from someone claiming to be Robert Omega. The Bossack's are respectable home owners mystified by this sighting.
*Note: The F-117 Nighthawk 65 feet in length with a 43 foot wingspan, so my guess is that Dennis' estimates on the size may have been slightly off or it may have been higher than 100 feet (which is incredibly low). When untrained observers witness something very unusual their sense of size and distance tends to be compromised. I suspect this craft was larger than 40 feet in diameter and very likely higher than 100 feet in altitude. But his detailed description of the craft's insignia is what's most important here.
Interestingly enough, his description of the insignia on this craft closely matches that of the US Space Innovation & Development Center out of Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado. IF these craft are US military, then it would make sense that they are involved in space warfare and would be under the command of this division of the military.
Doing a bit more digging around I discovered several other military patches that match elements of Dennis' description, one of them (interestingly enough) being a Cadet Squadron at the Air Force Academy in Colorado. Are we starting to see a pattern of triangular shapes, lightning bolts, the globe, yellow numerals and ties to Colorado? I certainly am.
David Wilcock wrote an excellently in-depth and informative piece entitled "US Space Command: The Proof is in The Patches" which delves further into the symbology of military insignias. I highly recommend reading the article as it is truly a 'rabbit hole' worthy of falling into. We can only begin to guess at the origin and meanings behind patches such as these (note the #1 in the patch to the left). Trevor Paglen wrote a book about patches of the clandestine world which is also worth checking out.
But my main point here is that all of these elements point toward a man-made craft likely operated by the military in a space warfare/defense role. So WHY reveal these craft to people in areas of the country that make little sense? If these craft were routinely being seen in and around areas such as Nellis AFB, southern California and Tonopah, Nevada it would make perfect sense. But they're not only being seen there. Why the Hudson river valley? Why Pennsylvania? Why southern Illinois? WHY? There is a serious logic problem with all of this and it bothers me on multiple levels. These sightings make zero rational sense. Either the military has gotten extremely sloppy (unlikely) or one or more aerospace manufacturers have gotten extremely sloppy (equally unlikely).
This leaves us with our final possibility--that these craft are not military.
So let's assume for the sake of this article that these craft are extraterrestrial in origin as many people believe (excluding Dennis' sighting). Well, that opens up a whole new can of worms, doesn't it? But I still question what their interest was/is in these particular areas. It could be anything.
Were they searching for something or someone?
Was this part of a sequence of abductions?
Were they interested in our nuclear power plants?
Or were they having some technical problems with no real intention of ever being spotted?
We simply don't know. But what we DO know is that these giant black triangles andenormous boomerangs don't seem to be fading into the background. In fact, they're being seen more and more not just in North America, but all over the globe. This fact alone starts to lend more credence to these things not being of earthly origin. The military has no need to spy on some kid in the countryside. Is this a system of acclimation on the part of the military if they're ours? Or conversely, visitors slowly getting people used to the idea of seeing a giant black delta craft in the skies above them? We don't have all the answers yet, but I do think we're getting closer.
Note: For further research into this topic, check out the report on "The Enigma of the Black Triangles" published by the National Institude of Discovery Sciences (NIDS) in 2004. NIDS no longer exists, but I managed to pull this report from Archive.org and placed it on the TOR server for download.
The debate about the existence or non-existence of extraterrestrial intelligence can be an exhausting one. Regardless of whether or not it can be proven, there are any number of strange stories that make the existence of E.T. visitations seem plausible. Some of them are so well-recorded and inexplicable that they might just have been genuine close encounters.
10. McMinnville Incident
In Oregon, in May of 1950, a farmer named Mr. Trent saw a UFO at his farm outside McMinnville. According to Mr. Trent, his wife Evelyn first spotted the object, a silvery, metallic disk. She was outside feeding her rabbits when it appeared in the early evening sky. She called out to her husband, who came outside and watched for a couple of minutes. He then went and got a camera, and took two pictures before the object sped off to the west.
The most striking thing lending credence to the story is the Trents’ behavior. They never made any money off the photographs, and actually had to be convinced to let them be published by a local reporter—apparently, they were afraid of getting into trouble with the government.
There are disagreements as to the veracity of the photos. The Condon Report, a 1967 study into UFO phenomena conducted by the University of Colorado, concluded that relative photographic densities of objects in the photos suggested that the subject was distant, meaning they were somewhat likely to be genuine. A much more recent examination concluded that the object’s geometry was consistent with a small model hanging from a wire. But that wire has never been spotted in either photo, and Evelyn and Paul Trent earnestly insisted, until their deaths in 1997 and 1998, respectively, that the photos were of an actual UFO.
9. Mariana Incident
In 1950, on the night of August 15, minor league baseball manager Nick Mariana became the first person to capture film footage of a UFO. It happened as he was inspecting the diamond before a game in Great Falls, Montana, which has since become a hotbed of UFO sightings, and is close to a US Air Force Base.
Mariana was able to capture two bright dots streaking across the sky on his 16mm movie camera, which he says he routinely kept in his car. After sending the film to be developed, he began to contact local newspapers—significant, as he had not yet seen the developed film and so would not have known if any fakery looked convincing. In October, he wrote a letter to the Air Force and was interviewed at Malstrom Air Force Base.
After examining the film, the Air Force concluded “possible aircraft” and dropped it. While two fighters were on record as having landed at Malstrom at around the time of the sighting, Mariana insisted that he saw those, too—in a different part of the sky. He also claimed that upon his film’s return, several frames that showed the spinning discs more clearly were missing—presumably cut by the Air Force. While the debate has never been resolved, the incident kicked off decades of over 100 sightings in Great Falls, and prompted the renaming of the minor league baseball team to the Voyagers.
8. Chicago O’Hare Incident
When several people state flatly that they observed a saucer-shaped aircraft hovering around before bolting into the sky at incredible speeds, it is tempting to assume that they don’t know much about aircraft. But when just such an incident occurred in Chicago in 2006, it was pretty difficult to make that case—it took place at O’Hare International Airport, and most of the people who saw it were United Airlines employees.
No airline officials, air traffic controllers, or radar records indicated anything out of the ordinary, though a United supervisor did call the tower to ask if any saucers were hovering nearby. The FAA has declined to investigate, which has proved irritating to those who insist that they witnessed the incident. Officials have tossed out the usual balloons, optical illusions, and weather phenomena as possible explanations.
As for the witnesses, they counter that none of those could explain the hole that the craft punched in the clouds while making its quick ascent, which lingered for several minutes. All witnesses agreed that the craft was dark gray, didn’t have any lights or markings, and maintained its position steadily before blasting off.
7. Edwards Air Force Base Sighting
One can’t blame the US Air Force for being sensitive about matters involving UFOs—in 1957, one supposedly landed at Edwards Air Force Base. If that sounds like an insane myth, keep in mind that it was allegedly caught on film and was reported by Gordon Cooper, a test pilot and astronaut in the United States’ first manned space program. He was at Edwards supervising the installation of a new precision-landing system at the time, and his account of the incident was pretty unambiguous.
“I had a camera crew filming the installation when they spotted a saucer. They filmed it as it flew overhead, then hovered, extended three legs as landing gear, and slowly came down to land on a dry lake bed. These guys were all pro cameramen, so the picture quality was very good. The camera crew managed to get within 20 or 30 yards of it, filming all the time. It was a classic saucer, shiny silver and smooth, about 30 feet across. It was pretty clear it was an alien craft. As they approached closer, it took off.”
The camera crew reported this incident to Cooper and turned over the film. Cooper says that he reported the incident to his superiors, and was told to develop the film and send it to Washington, which he did after watching it and finding it to be exactly as described. He says that, after that, the film vanished and didn’t come to light even when the Air Force began Project Blue Book. He suggested using it as evidence and was told it had been lost—not that it would have mattered much. According to Cooper, “Blue Book was strictly a cover-up anyway.”
6. Socorro Encounter
On April 24, 1964, several witnesses in different parts of Socorro, New Mexico, reported different sightings of the same event. Some saw a low-flying object in the sky, some heard loud sounds reminiscent of the takeoff and landing of a powerful craft. But one man swears he actually saw it land and that it could only have been an alien spacecraft. His name was Lonnie Zamora, and it was such an astonishing encounter that it distracted him from the high-speed chase he had been engaged in when he first caught sight of the craft—at the the time of the sighting, Mr. Zamora was an on-duty Socorro police officer.
What grabbed Officer Zamora’s attention was a gigantic cone of blue light rising thousands of feet into the air, which he took to be flames. Abandoning his pursuit, he went in the direction of what was presumably a crash or a miners’ shack explosion—and that was when his day got really intense. He spotted a vehicle in a gully, then two small humanoids glimpsed from the corner of his eye seemed to “jump” at his approach before disappearing. He parked the vehicle and got out, then heard a series of metallic clangs coming from the gully. The source was a huge, metallic oval object standing on girder-like legs. Immediately, a bluish flame shot out of the bottom of the vehicle, and it rose before taking off quickly and silently, vanishing into the distance as the officer got on his radio to report what he had just seen.
A fellow officer responding to his call also saw evidence of the incident—angular indentations where the “landing gear” had made contact and burned foliage from its takeoff—and several witnesses in the area reported either an egg-shaped craft or a blue flame in the sky, some immediately afterward and independently of Zamora’s report. Several who have interviewed the officer about the incident, including journalists and Air Force officials, have similar conclusions to draw, such as former Project Blue Book head Hector Quintanilla Jr. “There is no doubt that Lonnie Zamora saw an object which left quite an impression on him. There is also no question about Zamora’s reliability. He is a serious police officer and a man well-versed in recognizing airborne vehicles in his area. He is puzzled by what he saw, and frankly, so are we.”
5. The Westall UFO
On April 6, 1966, in Melbourne, Australia, witnesses say a silver, disc-shaped craft was spotted whizzing around, and that it then landed in a paddock near a high school and took off again. It would be a somewhat typical report of the type that is normally just a prank or misidentification of something else—except that this incident was observed by over 200 people in broad daylight, and no explanation has ever been offered.
Though eyewitness accounts vary, that is not unusual even in non-paranormal events when so many people are involved. What witnesses agreed on was that a large group of students were finishing their physical education class when several of them pointed out a silver or silvery-green craft about twice the size of a car, buzzing and hovering around a group of pine trees behind the school. After some time it landed among the pines. By that time, more students had come outside to see what was going on and some witnesses claim that private aircraft were approaching to investigate. In full view of this crowd, the craft rose from the trees, tilted at a 45-degree angle, flew into the sky at a rate of speed the private planes were unable to match, and vanished.
The nearest airport reported no private planes taking off in the area at that time, and neither did the military confirm any activity. Those who propose conventional explanations for this event are confounded by the fact that the object was in full view of hundreds of people for over 20 minutes, and was clearly not a plane or weather balloon—yet, no photographic or film evidence exists, and no pilot has ever claimed to have participated in the “chase.” The Westall incident remains one of Australia’s most debated unsolved UFO cases.
4. The Portage County Chase
According to Project Blue Book and the aforementioned Quintanilla, half a dozen or so police officers chased a communications satellite—and then, after losing sight of that, the planet Venus—into the Ohio wilderness and across the state line into Pennsylvania in the pre-dawn hours of April 17, 1966. When this official report was released, the police officers involved had a less-than-receptive response—in fact, they were infuriated by the insinuation that they could be that stupid. Especially considering this statement, signed by Deputy Sheriff Dale Spaur, one of the first to observe the object.
“We found an abandoned car on the berm on Rt. 224 between Atwater and Randolph. We left our car to routinely investigate this vehicle. Spaur noticed a light over the trees on the hill next to the berm, and called Neff’s attention to it. As we watched, the light came closer and a large, self-illuminated object was seen as its source. The object came directly overhead and hovered above us. Its light lit up the ground where we were standing, and our cruiser, P-13. It was too bright to look at without hurting the eyes.”
After they understandably retreated to their patrol car and called it in, at least five more officers assisted them in pursuing the object for over half an hour before finally losing sight of it. But it gets stranger still—shortly before Spaur and his partner’s encounter, Police Chief Gerald Buchert saw a saucer-like, illuminated object hovering near his yard at home and snapped a picture of it. While he kept the original photo, he was persuaded to send the negative to Quintanilla, who dismissed the image as a processing defect. The negative, of course, was never seen again.
3. Trans-En-Provence Incident
The French version of NASA documents UFO sightings a little more diligently than its American counterpart. The incident that took place at Trans-en-Provence in January 1981 has been called the most carefully documented sighting of all time. While the incident doesn’t seem spectacular at first glance, its simplicity leaves little room for interpretation.
Retired farmer Renato Nicolai was working in his garden when he heard a sudden whistling sound, accompanied by the appearance of something that he immediately took to be an experimental aircraft. In broad daylight, he watched as a saucer-shaped craft between five and six feet in diameter dropped out of the sky, stopping to hover for half a minute about two meters (six feet) off the ground. Then it rose into the sky, a plume of dust in its wake. Nicolai was about 30 meters (100 ft) away.
The French government’s study found evidence of compacting and heating of the soil near the landing site, depleted chlorophyll in plants around the site, and “black material” that was not oil or residue from combustion, but metallic in nature. A technical report stated, “It was not the aim of the author to identify the exact nature of the phenomenon observed on January 8, 1981 at Trans-en-Provence. But it can reasonably be concluded that something unusual did occur that might be consistent, for instance, with an electromagnetic source of stress.”
2. Warren Air Force Base
Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming, has been the site of a number of alleged UFO visitations since 1965, when red and green flashing lights reported by civilians in the area had local missile sites like Warren on high alert. That’s right—Warren’s UFO problem is part of a troubling larger trend of instances where nuclear missile armories are visited by unexplained objects, and it’s happened several times there.
In a famous 1976 incident reported by retired Minuteman missile launch officer Bruce Fenstermacher, a bright white object with flashing red and blue lights was seen to the North. Guards stationed at the base observed the object, a cigar-shaped craft a little under 20 meters (65 ft) long, moving near the missile silos. Military and police personnel frantically converged on the site, by which time the craft had disappeared. The craft kept switching positions, with the police experiencing car trouble every time they started to get close. Finally, more than two hours after the incident began, the craft departed at blinding speed, becoming a bright white speck on the horizon.
Though several witnesses agreed on this account, it was not included in any official report. None of the other other alleged sightings at the base have been either. As recently as 2010, a power failure to 50 intercontinental nuclear warheads at the base meant that over 10 percent of the US nuclear arsenal was offline for nearly an hour, prompting renewed speculation from UFO enthusiasts.
1. Piney Woods Incident
One December night in 1980, friends Betty Cash and Vickie Landrum, along with Vickie’s grandson, Colby, were driving along a lonely highway through the Piney Woods of Texas when they saw something none of them would ever forget. It was an encounter that left its mark on them all—mentally, emotionally, and physically.
The three came up on a water tower–sized, glowing, diamond-shaped object in the middle of the highway, blocking their way. Flames periodically shot from its underside, making it rise slightly before settling back down. It radiated intense light and heat. The two women, who exited the vehicle to examine the object—the seven-year-old boy wanted nothing to do with it—would later say that they had to use their coats to avoid being burned on the door handles when they re-entered their vehicle, and the plastic dashboard was soft enough to leave a handprint in. As they watched the UFO ascend, one to two dozen military-style helicopters buzzed overhead, surrounding it—a Dayton police officer also confirmed seeing helicopters of this type near the same area at the time. The women drove on, watching the craft and helicopters recede into the distance.
All three suffered bizarre symptoms reminiscent of radiation poisoning or chemical contamination for some time afterward—weakness, nausea, and the feeling of having been sunburned. Betty Cash’s symptoms were bad enough for her to be hospitalized, and as such the Cash-Landrum encounter is one of very few UFO incidents to result in litigation. Citing the presence of the helicopters, the family sued the US government for $20 million—and lost. The military denied deploying any helicopters to that area, or possessing a gigantic, diamond-shaped UFO, and the judge ruled in their favor.

Why 2015 Was a Weird Year for UFO Sightings
Why 2015 Was a Weird Year for UFO Sightings We're no closer to finding intelligent life from other planets and we might be farther from finding it at home.
Mankind’s relationship to space changed in 2015: Not only did we find liquid water on Mars, the commercial space race heated up, making our own starry ambition seems more plausible than ever. But we didn’t find life and life didn’t find us — at least not in a verifiable way. UFOs were spotted, sure, but they stayed stubbornly U.
The most exciting and provocative alleged UFO sighting actually came from someone who probably has a better view for spotting them than anybody else: Astronaut Scott Kelly was floating 259 miles above the surface of the Earth aboard the International Space Station when he snapped and tweeted this pic:
Immediately, people began asking what that mysterious glint of light was in the corner. What could it be?
The answer, it turns out, was: “Lot of stuff.” Forbes made a pretty convincing argument that it was the High Definition Earth-Viewing System mounted on a module attached to the ISS. Light from the instrument seems to have reflected back at Kelly’s camera as he took the picture. In fact, you can see this much more clearly when you increase the contrast on the image:
That’s a letdown, sure. But there were plenty of other big, weird sightings throughout the year. There were strange lights flying over Los Angeles a few weeks ago, but the Navy claimed responsibility, saying it was part of a missile test flight off the Pacific coast.
Lenticular clouds freaked out a bunch of people over in Cape Cod, South Africa last month. And, to be fair, the whole thing did look an awful lot likeIndependence Day. In this instance, however, it’s much easier to accept a scientific explanation involving strange variations in the atmosphere. Still looks freaky though:
Did you notice the UFO's flying over #capetown yesterday? 👽 Photo by @mijlof 📷
There were two big UFO sightings in India this year — one in June documented by a fifth grade student; and another, much larger object snapped by an individual who claims to have seen the mysterious ship rotating in the air. Both sightings were in the state of Uttar Pradesh and so far, there aren’t any clear explanations as to what they might have been.
That doesn’t necessarily mean those and other UFOs are signs of extraterrestrial objects zipping around through our sky. There are actually a ton of rational explanations for UFOs, ranging from aircraft balloons, aberrations of light, natural objects from space, and even birds. And ticking off those things from the list doesn’t mean it must be a ship from another planet.
Mankind’s constantly increasing access to the internet certainly hasn’t helped people keep a more rational mind about what they’re seeing. Just Google “UFO” one of these days and get lost in a k-hole community of people who are convinced those are alien objects coming to abduct human beings and signing secret deals with the government. In addition, the ubiquity of smartphones means everyone can document whatever strange things they see, and immediately post it to social media. Insert an appropriate hashtag like #UFO or #aliens or #FlyingSaucer. One can get lost in the pile of evidence.
Unfortunately, although smartphone cameras are getting better with every month, they’re still subject to a lot of the deficiencies that limit pretty much any kind of photographic equipment. Strange light or reflections can appear much brighter than they actually are. They might obscure the focus of an object and make it look more strange than it really is. While a lot of cameras allow you to manipulate the image quality in ways that offset those problems, most people neglect to do that before they send something straight to Twitter.
The only UFO this year that actually got scientists’ attention was the WT1190F object that burned up in Earth’s atmosphere about four weeks ago, over the Indian Ocean. No one was really what that piece of debris was, but scientists were pretty sure it was the remnants of some old rocketry equipment used in a previous launch.
Scientists were pretty excited about studying WT1190F reentry into Earth’s atmosphere to study the behavior of how objects plummet down from space into the Earth. It’s unclear yet what they found, but it ought to lead to some insights as to how meteors crash into Earth, and how humans can build better heat shields on spacecraft that are carrying astronauts back to Earth.

Burbage historian recalls Hinckley's UFO
Burbage historian recalls Hinckley's UFO
"I hoped that one day I would see a UFO – but did not really believe that it would happen"
UFO
Steven Spielberg’s film Close Encounters of the Third Kind was released in 1977 upon a mainly unsuspecting public, although UFOs sightings have been reported around the world for some years prior to 1977.
With the release of the film sightings increased dramatically no doubt the film made us much more aware of the possibility of visitors from outer space and, thereafter, we were observing the night sky and also the daytime sky much more than we had in the past.
I must admit that the film fired my imagination. I hoped that one day I would see a UFO – but did not really believe that it would happen.
Well happed it did, and not on one of the occasions when I was searching the night sky – in fact, I was driving my car when the sensational event began.
It was the evening of Mayday 23rd October 1978. At the time I lived on Hinckley’s Hollycroft estate.
On Monday evenings I drove my wife to Hinckley College to a class that she attended.
On this particular Monday I was driving up Hollycroft Hill at about 6.35pm when my wife said: “what is that strange object in the sky?”
I glanced in the direction of the Gas Works in Coventry Road and saw it for myself.
The object appeared to be delta in shape and had lights dotted around it. On arriving at the junction of Upper and Lower Bond Street I observed that the object was high in the sky over the direction of the Borough.
I drove along Lower Bond Street into Council Road and then into Stockwell Head.
All the time my wife was saying the object was overhead. My curiosity overcame me and I pulled into the parking area near to the Concordia Theatre. I noticed that tow or three other cars were doing the same thing.
We got out of the car – as did other people – and looked up. Immediately above us was the object.
It was now perfectly still. How high I could not say. There was no sound coming from it.
There appeared to be some kind of observation cabin below the main structure, which seemed to have numerous windows from which lights flashed on and off.
We all held our breath not knowing what was going to happen next, when all of a sudden there was a loud “whoosh” and then the object had vanished. My wife and I spoke with the other people.
None of us could say what it was we had really seen.
I believe it was a UFO in the true sense of the word. If our Government or any other earthly power was testing some new kind of flying machine, then they have certainly kept it quiet for the past years.
Recently, I discussed the incident with someone far more learned in astronomy than I am, and his belief is that it is impossible that it could have come from another planet.
Well, I can only say what I saw. It certainly was no hallucination as a number of other people had also seen it.
So what did we see on the night of the 23rd October 1978? Whatever it was, it was an unnerving and thrilling experience.

Men In Black Russian Documentary With English Subtitles
Men In Black is the Documentary advised by Medvedev during an interview regarding how much the russian presidents and institutions knows about aliens living on Earth, it doesn't say all what there is to say and some things are wrong, but it's a good start. Remeber to belive only what you are ready to belive into....

The Phenomenon Did Not Begin in 1947
As some of you may not be familiar with the original version of Wonders and its research, the following will serve as additional background on the concept. Since the end of World War II, many individual researchers, newspapers, and military agencies have recorded thousands of incidents involving aerial phenomena, often called UFOs. These accounts gave rise to much speculation about flying saucers, visitors from other planets and alien abductions, generally thought to be a recent development. Yet the phenomenon did not begin in the present era.
Jacques Vallée and Chris Aubeck reveal a thread of vividly rendered -- and sometimes strikingly similar -- reports of mysterious aerial phenomena from antiquity through the modern age. These accounts share definite physical features -- such as the complex evolution of the objects in flight, their spherical or discoid shape and their luminous characteristics -- that have changed little over the centuries, yet have remained unexplained. This work charts a complete chronology, ensuring that cases meet a standard measure of credibility via a specific person on the record having witnessed an event at a specific time and place.

The work of Jacques and Chris has received widespread praise for its scientific approach to the study of UFOs. A few of these endorsements are provided here.
"A riveting historical framework"
Sage thinkers have noted that revolutions in thought, scientific or otherwise, are wrought when anomalies are noted and then finally explained. But what does one do when an anomaly continues to show up over thousands of years in the skies above us -- and yet there remains no consistent explanation?! Absent a formal explanation a diligent scientist in today’s era would first chronicle the history, verify the data with best practices, and then provide an objective recounting of the case facts. That is at least what should happen…
In that vein this newly updated Edition of Wonders in the Sky provides a riveting historical framework for a vexing anomaly—that of unexplained aerial objects and, by implication, the potential reasons (intelligence?) behind them. Starting as far back as 1460 BC, Vallée and Aubeck, in magnificent detail, provide a gallery of unexplained aerial phenomena as chronicled by a range of individuals—whether common folk, generals of the day, members of their armies, scientists and astronomers, or leaders of cities or even religions. What is compellingly brought out in Wonders in the Sky are the similarities of the recorded experiences juxtaposed against the extraordinary variety of interpretations by the participants who recorded them. What have these people seen? Why is it there? Is it similar to what is seen today and if not, why not?
Meticulous attention to scientific detail is a hallmark of Vallée’s books, and Wonders in the Sky is a case study in objectivity. By never allowing their writing, or their reader, to fall into the trap of a foregone conclusion, Vallée and Aubeck enable the broadest set of hypotheses to remain on the table. Such focus is what makes this new edition of Wonders in the Sky a landmark on the history of unexplained aerial objects. And it should be a case study in the scientific literature of how to avoid dogma while still leaving open the wonders of what role we play in a larger reality. -Dr. Garry Nolan, Rachford and Carlota Harris Professor of Microbiology & Immunology, Stanford University
"A beautiful synthesis of the humanities and sciences"
Anyone who has dipped into the world of ufology knows just how difficult it is to find an able guide through the dark deep forest of the phenomena, which are diverse, confusing, and often, or so it seems, intentionally confusing. Two beacons high above this forest have been the work of Jacques Vallée and the web-based “Magoniax” research team of Chris Aubeck and his colleagues. The present project, a gorgeously produced new edition of Wonders in the Sky, brings the two together again as they scan human history from antiquity to 1879 for evidence of unexplained aerial objects. In the process, they resist any easy answers or pat interpretations, preferring instead to sit with the historical data in all its complexity and mystery, to listen, as it were, to the historian of religions as closely as the astronomer. The result is a beautiful synthesis of the humanities and the sciences, of the human imagination and the computer, of the visual arts and the art of scholarship. From the striking painting on the cover, which depicts a mysterious object painted on an Italian ceiling in 1561, to the sharp, clear thinking of the text, to the playful medieval symbols attached to each case, the book sets a new standard, and a new aesthetic, for the still developing conversation.

"That, I believe, is true science: to follow the data wherever they lead"
Their rigorously scientific insistence allows Vallée and Aubeck to retain the most challenging and interesting aspects of these events without the distraction of premature commitment to any particular interpretation. That, I believe, is true science: to follow the data wherever they lead, and to move away from established theory when it fails to deal adequately with the data.
The other beautiful innovation in Vallée and Aubeck’s work is the combination of science and scholarship. A willingness to combine documentary research, the heart of humanities scholarship, with physical and astrophysical knowledge is rare.”-From the preface to Wonders by Professor David Hufford at the University of Pennsylvania*
106 Color Images and Special Items

These images have been rendered from high quality digital images to create a work of lasting beauty as well as science. Towards this end, you will also receive the following special items for your contribution:
A facsimile commemorative token (coin) of French origin from 1648 depicting a legendary shield from the sky
The token pictured above, which was struck in 1648, shows a disk with a thick border. This kind of object or medal (“jeton” in French) has been mentioned in books and magazine articles as a flying shield either observed in the clouds, passing over a wide landscape or (as in this case) protecting it from spears directed at its curved surface from the sky.
The jeton is a little larger than a U.S. quarter and is similar to many tokens produced in Europe around that time for religious and educational purposes. Rather than a flying saucer (some sort of “Roman Roswell,” as some have suggested), it is thought to represent the “Shield of Numa.”
It is said that on March 1st, 707 BC, during the outbreak of a plague, the second king of Rome, Numa Pompilius, witnessed the fall of an oval shield from the sky during a ceremony. Somewhat astonished, he sought advice from the nymph Egeria and the nine Muses, who assured him that Jupiter had dropped it as a sign of his benevolence. The pestilence soon came to an end, so the grateful king had eleven identical copies made by an armourer, and those were used in dances and celebrations every year. Written around the edges of this coin is the Latin phrase “Resistit paucis obruitur pluribus,” which means “It withstands a few but is overwhelmed by the many.”
Reports of such “flying shields” figure prominently in Wonders in the Sky. We believe this intriguing coin is a worthy accessory minted in support of the research.
A folder of rare 17th and 18th century European broadsheets and placards
Presented are a folder of rare broadsheets, the newspapers of the time, that functioned as mass media, most of them from 17th and 18th century Germany, depicting celestial events observed in central Europe, France and Italy. Produced in facsimile, each one consists of an engraving of the scene (typically enhanced with mythological, allegorical or religious figures) with a text explaining the significance of the event for the benefit of the public.
These records have taken the form of paintings on the walls of caves, carvings in stone walls, statues and stelae, or writings on papyrus and parchment. After the invention of paper and the printing press, the observations could be shared with an eager and curious public. This led to widely distributed poster-size documents known as broadsheets, broadsides or placards. These were posted as notices in a public place or sold as individual sheets.
Please see two of the placards below, and enjoy these rare items that are both pieces of art and critical components of the historical UFO record.

Additional information about the authors
Jacques Vallée and Chris Aubeck at a conference in Madrid, May 2015
Jacques Vallée holds a master’s degree in astrophysics from France and a Ph.D. in computer science from Northwestern University, where he served as an associate of Dr. J. Allen Hynek, the scientific consultant to the U.S. Air Force on the UFO problem. He is the author of several books about high technology and unidentified phenomena, a subject that first attracted his attention as an astronomer in Paris. While analyzing observations from many parts of the world, he became intrigued by the similarities in patterns between modern sightings and historical reports of encounters with flying objects and their occupants in every culture. The result was the seminal book Passport to Magonia, published in 1969. Later, Jacques would become the model for the French scientist character in Stephen Spielberg's Close Encounters played by François Truffaut.
After a career as an information scientist with Stanford Research Institute and the Institute for the Future, where he served as a principal investigator for the groupware project on the Arpanet, the prototype of the Internet, Jacques Vallée cofounded a venture capital firm in Silicon Valley, where he works.
Chris Aubeck was born in London. His interest in the historical and sociological aspects of unexplained aerial phenomena began at an early age. He moved to Spain at age 19 and now lives in Madrid, where he works as an interpreter and English teacher at the Madrid Development Institute. A student of folklore and philology, he has helped compile the largest collection of pre-1947 UFO cases in the world. He has spoken on his research in many articles and on public radio. In 2008 he was awarded a prize for his contributions to the field by the Spanish organization Fundación Anomalía.
In 2003, Aubeck cofounded a remarkable collaborative network of librarians, students, and scholars of paranormal history on the Internet. This group, known as the Magoniax Project, extends from North and Central America to Russia and Germany. It has accumulated thousands of references, searched media archives in several languages, and gathered hundreds of rare documents, scientific reports, and newspaper clippings from the last four hundred years.
In 2015 I met ET-human hybrids for the first time—eight of them. Within two months, my reality was expanding so fast that I had to let go of trying to understand it all intellectually. It became clear that this cannot all be understood with the mind. We cannot turn their information on consciousness, love and oneness into personal knowledge without opening our hearts and occasionally letting the mind take a back seat.
That is just one of the key learnings that came out of the research that Barbara Lamb and I undertook for what has become the book Meet the Hybrids – The Lives and Missions of ET Ambassadors on Earth. The hybrids have access to a level of understanding that answers not just the big questions of ufology, but many of the biggest questions that humans have ever thought to ask.
Let that sink in for a moment. Then let the questions flow: how do they know so much? Who are they? What are they? Why are they here?
This brief introduction to hybrids will only scratch the surface of what we uncovered in the research, but it will give the reader a sense of the complexity and multidimensional nature of the subject.
This has major implications for ufology, and indeed the wider enterprise of human inquiry. I will close with some further thoughts on what this suggests for our continuing research in this field.
What is a hybrid?
There are various types of hybrids it seems. For our glossary, the definition we arrived at—with input from the hybrids—was: a being which has been genetically altered to be more than one species.
How are hybrids created?
Another complex question. One of the hybrids was created as part of a military project, combining DNA from her human parents and two ET races. Four of the hybrids understand they had ET genetics introduced while in their mother’s womb. Commonly, they are composed of a number of ET races. Some call these their ET ‘frequencies’.
One of the hybrids described a process called ‘spinning’, in which the various genetics and ‘energetic imprints’ of the ET ‘parents’ are combined, in order to set up the template for the cell mass. This is then made ready for the being to incarnate on Earth to human parents.
Several understand they made an agreement as a soul to incarnate on Earth as a hybrid, and they may recall doing the planning while in that pre-corporeal state.
Another of the hybrids had several theories as to how he was created, including the possibility that, given his Mantis component, he may have created himself. As these particular Mantis beings don’t die in the way we understand, they can choose a new form as required.
How do they know they are hybrids?
Most of them uncovered their identity slowly, putting pieces together over the years as memories of ET visitations came back, visitations increased or messages from ETs came through more clearly.
They all have ‘guides’ or ‘star families’ they interact with in various ways. These guides may be ET, or human or animal spirits. Sometimes these guides offer hints, sometimes they are more direct with their messages. They can also use physical effects to enhance their messages.
It was common that the hybrids had no shock or surprise at receiving confirmation of their nature. Many expressed relief—a reaction far from what a regular human, I imagine, would have at learning such a thing.
Why are hybrids created?
This is the question the hybrids themselves are most concerned with. What is their purpose—their mission? And what are the ETs trying to achieve through this enterprise?
This is, in my view, the most important information to come out of this research for the field of ufology. The answer depends on which ETs one is referring to. There are principally two classes: those in ‘service to self’, and those in ‘service to others’. Most of the ‘negative’ experiences with ETs may occur with the service to self ETs, who reportedly display little compassion for the needs of humans. The ‘service to others’ class are, in general, more like cosmic missionaries, and are here to help humankind evolve—to move through the ‘Ascension’ process.
Ascension is another contested topic. Some hybrids view it as a process of the planet and its inhabitants shifting from the third to the fifth dimension—becoming less physically dense, and some see it as more of a spiritual evolution, in the sense of becoming more enlightened, and living more harmoniously with ourselves, each other and the world in which we live. So both could be thought of as processes of spiritual development, but the term ‘spiritual’—as ever—has varying interpretations.
Both classes are creating hybrids. The activity of the ‘self’ class has been documented across two key books by David Jacobs, and the ‘others’ class by ourselves, and 17 years ago, by CristiAnne Quiros in her PhD dissertation. Many people have explored aspects of these subjects over the last few decades, but I refer here to specific studies of hybrids.
Understanding of the hybrid subject has been previously somewhat skewed towards a darker interpretation, as Jacobs’ work and conclusions have dominated the discourse. His research has pointed to a ‘colonization’ program, wherein certain ETs seek to take over Earth by producing hybrids which look human but can control the minds of other humans through their superior psychic abilities.
The dissertation of Quiros, a psychology graduate, was (to my knowledge) the first major study of the phenomenon which directly involved people identifying as hybrids. The lives and understandings of six—all North American women—were explored for the purposes of equipping the therapeutic community to assist hybrids and their friends and family. Quiros found that the hybrids saw their creation, and the intentions of the ETs responsible, as being a fundamentally benevolent enterprise, which seeks to preserve and enhance human life, principally through the expansion of human consciousness—relating to the concept of Ascension.
Our research explored the subject in a similar way, but went deeper and wider. What became evident is that Jacobs and Quiros may both be correct in their conclusions—they are simply talking about different ETs. The hybrids noted that among the races we hear of regularly, there are often several varieties. For example, the reptilian hybrids in the book made it clear that they are connected to benevolent reptilians, and the male Mantis hybrid said that there are Mantis beings with very different looks and agendas.
Between these two classes of beings there may be a nebulous middle ground, wherein experiencers are being traumatized by ‘service to others’ ETs who may have their own reasons for giving people the experiences they do. One of the hybrids pointed to the work of Lyssa Royal and Keith Priest, who discuss this in detail.
Bringing these two strands of research together to form a synthesis is an important step in comprehending the apparently contradictory information that has been coming forth over the last six decades concerning ET intentions. If we give credence to both sides of the interpretation, we have a much richer, more comprehensible picture of what is happening on this planet, involving the work and agendas of non-human intelligences.
Missions, abilities and services
Linking into the Ascension process are the missions of the hybrids. Some have numerous aspects to their missions. They are equipped with special abilities that help them carry out these missions, which they will often deliver through particular services.
Their missions range from helping the Earth and its people and animals, to helping other hybrids and starseeds, to developing new technologies.
In terms of abilities, most or all of them have some psychic and healing ability. The healing may involve psychic function at the diagnostic level as well as the treatment level.
Hybrids as spiritual teachers
Within a month of commencing the interviews, it was evident that perhaps above all else, this type of hybrid is effectively a spiritual teacher. Their understanding of the journey of the soul, of the evolutionary process we are all undertaking, is often detailed and profound. This is a subject that refuses to get hung up on the material or the intellectual—no matter how much we may want to apply the standards of Western materialist science to it. John Mack concluded the same in his research. We need to be open to other ways of knowing, particularly direct experience. The book offers advice and techniques from the hybrids for pursuing one’s own Ascension, and even for connecting with ETs directly.
Beyond ufology
The hybrids take us right through and beyond ufology, and throw open a mass of questions as to what we may best do with their information, and how we may continue to make progress with this subject. If we accept the word of the hybrids, and work with their information and techniques personally, we find that ufology becomes too small a place for this exploration. The level of conceptual expansion and personal spiritual revelation available to anyone suggests that we revisit the definition of ufology, and ask whether this is still a useful term, or if it has now been outgrown.
The increasing contact between science and spirituality which is developing in the mainstream—as well as the continuing exploration of space—is opening up opportunities for the information that has been produced by ufology to connect with and contribute to these more conventional modes of inquiry. And given the unprecedented democratization of information flows in our culture, I submit that the time has never been better for those of us committed to expanding our understanding of reality to make progress in offering our research to the mainstream.
The hybrids offer the royal road to solving the mysteries of ufology, and so much more. Let us make the best use of this resource. After all, for many of them, helping us is built into their mission.
