This is our new dog Kira, a cross between a water dog and a Podenko. She has been with us since February 7, 2024 and is busy winning our hearts. She is a sweet, affectionate dog who quickly adapted to us within a week. She is very quick and curious, a very different dog than Noleke.

MUFON's mission is the analytical and scientific investigation of the UFO- Phenomenon for the benefit of humanity... Since 02/01/2020 is Pieter ex-president (=voorzitter) of BUFON, but also ex-National Director MUFON / Flanders and the Netherlands. We work together with the French MUFON Reseau MUFON/EUROP.

In Special Reports, this week's files cover: DARPA Falcon Hypersonic Aircraft Is Missing, DARPA Hale D High Altitude Airship Anomaly Causes Crash, UK Ministry of Defence files on UFO sightings released, Mars has Water "The Hidden Truth, and Hitler's Stealth Bomber.

Unidentified Aerial Phenomena sightings were reported over California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington. Sightings of UFOs were also reported in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Italy, Mexico, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

The purpose of these files is to report the UFO eyewitness and photo/video evidence that occurs on a daily basis around the world and in space. These Files assume that extraterrestrial intelligent life not only exists, but my hypothesis is that the over a thousand UFOs reported each month represent technologically advanced spacecraft conducting surveillance of Earth. I personally became interested in UFOs when London Control ordered me to intercept one over England while flying for the US Air Force. Under Project Blue Book, the US Air Force investigated UFOs for more than twenty years; and we continue this research. I believe the God of the universe has spread life throughout the cosmos and UFO's are visiting us in ever-increasing numbers.

You can read the highlights guide (PDF) to help you navigate your way through the files released in August 2011.

BBC reports newly released government files on UFOs show a lack of will an d resources to study thousands of reported sightings. The Ministry of Defence files released by the National Archives cover reported sightings of UFOs from 1985 to 2007. In one, a military officer predicts embarrassment if the public discovered a "lack of funds and higher priorities" were stopping UFO investigations....

The files also shed new light on the famous RAF Lakenheath incident in 1956 in which Venom fighter planes were scrambled to intercept an unidentified flying object tracked on radar. Retired RAF Fighter Controller Freddie Wimbledon's memories of the night are included in the new release, while retired MoD official Ralph Noyes recalls being shown gun camera footage of the UFO at a special screening in 1970.

The files contain a wide range of UFO-related documents, drawings, letters and parliamentary questions covering the years 1985-2007. Read eyewitness accounts of UFO sightings, see the picture of a 'flying saucer' which was sent for analysis by defence experts and discover the bizarre story of 'Mork and Mindy's' visit to East Dulwich....

    Mars Water "The Hidden Truth"

    J. P. Skipper writes, "I suspect you're looking mostly for civilization evidence as that is the most dramatic, exciting, and entertaining from the public's point of view. However, in my opinion, this is also where most of the science community resistance is the hardest with MUFON waging a fight that is just really too much uphill from the science community's blind living in denial point of view.

In my opinion, the evidence presentations need to concentrate on something more at a fundamental and basic level. That is one of the reasons why my presentations concentrate on surface water in a liquid state and biological life taking advantage of it. In my opinion, this may have a slightly better chance of being eventually understood and accepted at science and academia community level because it is viewed as a bit less threatening. The way the mainstream public behaves, this is necessary because they follow mainstream leaders that they recognize as such and everyone else is passed off as just a rogue element.

If science and academia community types once begin to grasp that yes there is surface water on Mars in a liquid state and yes there appears to be basic forest life taking advantage of it, then the implications begin to sneak up on them and then it's too late to very successfully back off. Implications like unfrozen surface means milder temperatures than they've been led to believe as well as an atmospheric envelope not as concentrated with CO2. Forests around them and flourishing carry the same message.

Once they begin to question this most basic of data at the very root of the secrecy, the process of questioning anything at all itself begins to gain momentum that will also eventually lead to recognition of the civilization evidence. On the other hand, just sticking civilization evidence alone in front of them doesn't work well enough because it is perceived by them to be threatening and something to fear creating an emotional reaction. That reaction just allows them to escape in denial by traditionally and safely dismissing it all as "conspiracy theory."

    http://www.marsanomalyresearch.com/general-directories/book-1/ad-doc.htm

At the above link on my page promoting my book and its evidence are several profound surface water and forest life image. It's just my thinking of course but I think that you and MUFON pushing this kind of visual evidence and pounding this theme into the sand heads in addition to the usual civilization evidence will be more effective in the long run.

    Thanks to J. P. Skipper

DARPA Falcon Hypersonic Aircraft Is Missing

    Falcon Hypersonic HTV-2 Gliding

The Falcon $300 million dollar Hypersonic Technology Vehicle 2 appears to be lost. On August 11, 2011, the 13,000 mph aircraft of the future took off for a crucial test flight. Within hours it was missing and apparently crashed into the Pacific Ocean. It was flying at mach 20 or twenty times the speed of sound when it stopped sending signals.

The Falcon hypersonic HTV-2 is an unmanned, rocket-launched, maneuverable aircraft that glides through the Earth's atmosphere designed to reach anywhere on earth in an hour or less. The vehicle is launched within a rocket that sheds its cocoon upon reaching altitude.

Falcon is part of an advanced weapons program, called Conventional Prompt Global Strike. It blasted off from California's Vandenberg Air Force Base at 7:45 AM, on board an Air Force Minotaur IV rocket. Several tests from Vandenberg AFB have been intercepted and destroyed by UFOs in the past. Air Force Major Chris Schulz, DARPA HTV-2 program manager, stated, "We know how to boost the aircraft to near space. We know how to insert the aircraft into atmospheric hypersonic flight." The Falcon is 1 2 feet long, weight is 900kg, and it is made of experimental material that can withstand up to 3,500f (2000C). Its payload is anything up to 12,000 lbs. Its first test flight in April 2010, lasted nine minutes and also crashed itself into the ocean.

MUFON STAR Team Manager and Texas Chief Investigator Fletcher Gray feels points out DARPA only released the information on the crash after reports from the MUFON CMS data indicated that this vehicle may have been launched as early as August 9, 2011, around 10:40 PM.

"News reports did indicate that a launch took place at Vandenberg AF Base over the Pacific Ocean toward the Kwajalein Islands. This would place the craft over the Hawaiian Islands. Information from the witness report leads this Investigator to believe that DARPA didn't conduct a press release until two days after the event. An eyewitness coming fourth validates the reporting system of MUFON being a great research tool for Ufology.

"A witness on vacation in the Hawaiian Islands filed the following statement: (MUFON Case 30796 Witness statement reads in part) 'On August 9, 2011, around 10:40 p.m. I noticed it because I was staring right where it seems to appear out of thin air. It was a ball of light that resembled an egg/oval/missile leaving a pretty large trail that glowed just as bright behind it. We watched it cross the sky for about 3-5 seconds when it accelerated and the object itself expanded or glowed brighter and disappeared.'

"Other test projects of this type called Black Swift and the HTV-3 may have contributed to a lot of the sighting reports over the years that may have been filed with MUFON. These tests may have been the earliest long range deployment and stability flights conducted by the US Air Force. It is not known at this time if the HTV-2 can be put into low orbit and maneuvered to its striking point. Indications are this test flight lost control at Mach 20 and splashed down near the Kwajalein Atolls. This Investigator will follow-up on reports in reference to this type of events as they come in. " Thanks to www.examiner.com and Fletcher Gray

DARPA Hale D High Altitude Airship Anomaly Causes Crash

Akron, Ohio -- Lockheed Martin said the airship or blimp was launched from Akron, Ohio, at 5:47 a.m. and reached 32,000 feet before " an anomaly " stopped it from climbing to its target of 60,000 feet. "At that time, a decision was made to bring the airship back down, and that's what we did. We brought it down into a remote, lightly populated area," said Jim Gring, of Lockheed Martin.

    The airship crashed near
New Freeport, Pennsylvania and is a crumpled in a heap atop some trees. The High Altitude Long Endurance-Demonstrator (HALE-D) -- is an un-tethered, unmanned lighter-than-air vehicle that will operate above the jet stream in a geostationary position to deliver persistent station keeping as a surveillance platform, telecommunications relay, or a weather observer. The HAA also provides the Warfighter affordable, ever-present Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance and rapid communications connectivity over the entire battle space. The anomaly that caused the airship to be brought down has not been explained. Thanks to Bruce Maccabee who noticed the story.

    Hitler's Stealth Bomber

Paul S. Laskodi writes, " Keep in mind, this aircraft was built in the 1940's. It resembles our Stealth bombers of today. Had Hitler got these into production sooner, the world wouldn't be what it is today.

    cid:04B99E4927A849CF90F4B992070C861D@ownerpc

With its smooth and elegant lines, this could be a prototype for some future successor to the stealth bomber. But this flying wing was actually designed by the Nazis 30 years before the Americans successfully developed radar-invisible technology. Now an engineering team has reconstructed the Horten Ho 2-29 from blueprints, with startling results. Blast from the past: The full-scale replica of the Ho 2-29 bomber was made with materials available in the '40s.

cid:7237E1B7E8C341B7AE2094258601C809@ownerpc Futuristic: The stealth plane design was years ahead of its time. It was faster and more efficient than any other plane of the period and its stealth powers did work against radar. Experts are now convinced that given a little bit more time, the mass deployment of this aircraft could have changed the course of the war.

First built and tested in the air in March 1944, it was designed with a greater range and speed than any plane previously built and was the first aircraft to use the stealth technology now deployed by the U.S. in its B-2 bombers. Thankfully Hitler's engineers only made three prototypes, tested by being dragged behind a glider, and were not able to build them on an industrial scale before the Allied forces invaded.

In 1943 Luftwaffe chief Hermann Goering demanded that designers come up with a bomber that would meet his requirements, one that could carry 1,000 kg over 1,000km flying at 1,000km/h.

A wing section of the stealth bomber at right shows the jet intakes were years ahead of their time. Two pilot brothers Reimar and Walter Horten, suggested a flying wing design they had been working on for years.. They were convinced that with its low drag such a plane would meet Goering's requirements.

cid:3E046F4A77394922B51A479B578CC12C@ownerpc Construction on a prototype was begun in Goettingen in Germany in 1944.

The centre pod was made from a welded steel tube, and was designed to be powered by a BMW 003 engine. The most important innovation was Reimar Horten's idea to coat it in a mix of charcoal dust and wood glue.

The 142-foot wingspan bomber was submitted for approval in 1944, and it would have been able to fly from Berlin to New York and back without refueling, thanks to the same blended wing design and six BMW 003A turbojets. They thought the electromagnetic waves of radar would be absorbed, and in conjunction with the aircraft's sculpted surfaces the craft would be rendered almost invisible to radar detectors. The plane was covered in radar absorbent paint with a high graphite content, which has a similar chemical make-up to charcoal. This was the same method eventually used by the U.S. in its first stealth aircraft in the early 1980s, the F-117A Nighthawk.

cid:4CF9DD12748C4CBD99E7B5D95E96C26D@ownerpc After the war the Americans captured the prototype Gotha Go 229s along with the blueprints and used some of their technological advances to aid their own designs. Now using the blueprints and the only remaining prototype craft, Northrop-Grumman (the defense firm behind the B-2) built a full-size replica of a Horten Ho 2-29.

Luckily for Britain , the Horten flying wing fighter-bomber never got much further than the blueprint stage above.

The plane could have been in London eight minutes after the radar system detected it. It took them 2,500 man-hours and $250,000 to construct, and although their replica cannot fly, it was radar-tested by placing it on a 50 ft articulating pole and exposing it to electromagnetic waves. Although the aircraft is not completely invisible to the type of radar used in the war, it would have been stealthy enough and fast enough to ensure that it could reach London before Spitfires could be scrambled to intercept it. The research was filmed for a National Geographic documentary. Thanks to

    California Lights

On August 5, 2011, while working in my garage I stopped to go out front looked up and about a mile in front of me is this light. I keep looking at it thinking it was a plane then it changed courses abruptly so I went to get my wife. She looked and got scared so I pulled my cell phone out to take a picture and then my phone went dead, so I went in the house to get my video camera and it went dead. I found an old Sony camera that still worked and was able to take several pictures and some video. I observed the object for about 8 minutes then it took off. Thanks to MUFON CMS

SANTA BARABARA -- Paulette Sfetku writes, "I was lying in a lounge chair around noon in in Carpinteria in mid June and the sun was barely blue, being filled with misty, gray chemtrails. There was an opening in the sky that seemed fairly circular; and I saw the UFO fly straight through the middle of it in less than 1 minute. It was moving parallel to the ground like an airplane but there was no sound. The rounded nose of the ship slowly moved into view from the east and the outline, of the ship became visible; and seemingly materialized through the chemtrail mist.

When the nose crossed into the middle of the opening, the body of the ship was visible, but only its only an outline showed as it entered the clouds. So, the part of the ship that was moving through the center of the opening was fully visiblebecause that is where the strongest rays of sunlight struck it. It was huge, long, fat, shiny, silver, cigar-shaped and had one set of very short, fat lateral wings on each side. It was astonishing how low in the sky it was flying. The chemtrails was the ship's shroud of invisibility. Thanks to Paulette.

ANAHEIM --W hile we were fishing on a local private lake my husband noticed an odd dimly lighted triangle shaped object traveling southwest at 11:06 PM, on July 23, 2011. He told me to look at it to make sure we both believed it was a UFO. It was traveling steady at about 75 miles per hour at about 2000 feet up. The triangle shape blocked our view of stars. It had large white glowing lights similar to a florescent bulb that were casting a glow showing the triangle shape. It was flying straight and made no sound. After it passed by we got a very good view of the back of the craft that was a flat dark surface about 15 to 20 feet high. We continued to watch it until it was out of sight. I do not think the craft could be secret military craft and did not look aerodynamic. Thanks to William Puckett Director UFOs Northwest http://ufosnw.com

MT. EVANS WILDERNESS AREA -- My wife took some panoramic photos on August 13, 2011, while we were hiking the Abyss Lake Trail. The area we were hiking in is located 9 miles north of Grant, CO off of Guanella Pass Road. We have a before and after photo, in which we cannot ascertain the identity of the object in one of our photos. My wife who is a serious skeptic of these cases has really come to question her beliefs in these matters. Thanks to MUFON CMS

    Florida Boomerang-shaped UFO

KEY LARGO -- The witness and his son were fishing from a dock at the Seafarer Hotel with two other adults and two children when they saw a boomerang-shaped object moving quickly across the night sky on August 8, 2011, with five or six non-blinking lights. He states,

"Suddenly from the west southwest I saw a large quick moving object shaped like a chevron, making absolutely no sound, fly right across my direct vision, blocking the star light as it passed, and having what I think were maybe 5 or 6 white lights that were not blinking and ran along the bottom of the object. It moved quickly, steadily, and completely soundless, and it was out of my view in probably 5 to 7 seconds -- but it was as real as anything I have ever seen. I was in total amazement." Thanks to MUFON CMS

    Illinois Rudder

O'Hare Airport -- I was on my balcony facing east with my SO and she saw the object first. "Is that a black bag?" I looked at it and realized it was not. She agreed it was definitely not a bag because it didn't float, dip or dive and the shape was wrong. What we saw was matte-black, moving southeast in a straight line at 9:30 PM on Saturday evening on August 13, 2011. The object had no lights was and made no sound at all.

It was like a helicopter without blades and wings, but seemed to have a rudder that was moving in an opposite direction of the body. It was rotating clockwise and moved quickly and was matte-black with weird edges. We could see the rudder-like part when the object went past the moon beneath the cloud cover.

I thought the object was smaller than a helicopter and traveling slightly under the normal altitude for helicopters without lights and no sound. It was moving faster than a jet. We also saw a jet leaving O'Hare Airport going southeast far behind the object. It was very eerie. Thanks to MUFON CMS

    Indiana Orb

Charlestown -- I was at my friend's house off Route 403 on August 8, 2011, talking with three friends noticing the clouds at 7:18 PM, when I said, "Whats that, that's not the moon it's too small?" My friend saw it briefly before it moved behind the clouds. He thought it was a star, but stars don't move and wasn't burning like a meteorite. I think it was too big to be a weather balloon. We saw an airplane on the far left side earlier that was lower and was kind of a point of reference. Thanks to MUFON CMS

    Massachusetts Large Glowing Sphere

Lawrence -- Last night, August 1, 2011 at 12:45 AM, as I was pointing out the constellations to a friend's younger brothers, I noticed a very strange fiery orange/yellow globe appear in the sky to the left of Mars in the west. The huge object was stationary for a minute or so. When I pointed it out to the boys they thought it was the moon! It stayed hovering in the sky fixed in that one spot. After a few moments of staring at the object it suddenly vanished, then reappeared further away in the same area.

It was smaller and still glowing in the distance. Seconds later it vanished again and instantly reappeared moving to the right. I was stunned and the boys were frightened. It then appeared as two lights in what seemed like a strange bar like object with curved edges still moving to the right. It vanished from sight as it passed behind the trees in the distance and never returned. Thanks to Peter Davenport, Director National UFO Reporting Center http://www.UFOcenter.com/

    Michigan Cylinder

Croswell -- On August 15, 2011, at 7 :20 PM, I was sitting with my husband on our porch, and saw a strange cigar or Ibuprofen shaped object. It was bright white with a dark spot in the middle, at about airplane height and speed as it seemed to be moving farther away in straight path. My husband grabbed binoculars and through them we saw were no wings on the craft and flames coming out of one end, as if it was propelled by rockets. It looked like a missile or a thruster that falls off a space shuttle might look like. I have seen orange yellow orbs in the same area. We lost sight of object when it moved past the tree line. I included a sketch of the object. Thanks to MUFON CMS

    Missouri Huge Disc

KANSAS CITY -- I left my office and was traveling west on 23rd street in Independence on August 7, 2011, , when I saw a huge disc shaped dull gray metallic object hovering over the north half of downtown Kansas City. You can see the KC skyline clearly from the high hill I was driving on. As a UFO investigator, I shouldn't be shocked by anything, but in this case, I was very surprised by what I saw, especially since I had received a report earlier in the day from a witness who described a similar very large craft in South Kansas City. The object did not move and I saw it clearly for two to three seconds.

It was a disk shape, with flat sides, and a domed top. I could not see any details or lights. I estimate the size to be five miles wide. I immediately called several people I knew and other MUFON field investigators to see if they could see anything from their vantage point. I went outside and started taking random photos of the sky. Just as I turned the camera off I noticed what looked like a commercial jet flying at high speed and 5,000 feet or less and almost completely sideways with both wings clearly visible! It was banking hard to the left heading southwest. That type of maneuver is usually reserved for smaller craft, not a commercial airliner. Right after the jet was out of sight, a large round white object the size of a dinner plate at arm's length with a hole in the center appeared and disappeared in the exact same location as where I first saw the jet. I then posted a message at 12:15 PM to the Missouri MUFON chat list about what was going on. A witness called to report a giant UFO over south Kansas City from 1:30 - 3:00 PM.

A UFO spotter and photographer in Topeka, Kansas (72 miles from KC) photographs multiple UFOS in "battle mode." He has been able to capture UFOs on film using a special method and AB UV sunglasses. At 2 PM - a KC MUFON member reported a large number of UH-60 helicopters flying very low at treetop level at 125th and State Line in south Kansas City.

At 4:20 PM - I saw the large disc over downtown KC, then the plane, and a white disc.

Latan -- At 5:20 PM. - a MUFON field investigator saw a strange cloud with structure from his vantage point across the river in Kansas.

I took six pictures in a row, then analyzed them. In one shot out of the series there are multiple orbs in my yard, and in subsequent photos there are tiny red and blue lights that can't be explained.

I then took a nap, which is unusual for me, and was unaware that the power had gone completely off. I was awakened by a loud static noise with lots of voices talking at the same time coming from the radio. I sat up and looked at the radio, but the power was out so it should have been impossible for that to happen.

Westport -- On Monday, we had a guest speaker from St. Louis MUFON attend our monthly meeting. After it was over we were standing outside talking and I saw a bullet-shaped white line, then a white crescent shaped object appear and disappear very quickly. No one else saw anything. I am surmising that some of these objects are things that come into view for a short period of time, and are noticed by clairvoyants like me, but not by others. I took a picture at my sighting location on 23rd street facing west 9 miles from downtown KC one week after the sighting. I drew in a ufo to show the size of the object. There have been numerous sightings for over six weeks Thanks to MUFON CMS

    New Jersey Lights

WESTFIELD -- I was relaxing on my back stoop on July 29, 2011, and spotted a ball of light rising in front of me from the west, and tracking nearly straight up. I live in the traffic lanes of Newark Liberty Airport, and have seen and photographed many planes. I'm a skeptic, and had my cell phone nearby, and started videotaping the white ball, about the size of Jupiter, across the sky and down behind a tree. I later confirmed this to be a flyover of the ISS, at a very bright magnitude -3.7. I reviewed the footage and examined the area where the ISS had emerged and noticed at roof level to the home across the street an oval canted, glowing jellyfish. It was like a bubble of soap, white top and bottom of the ellipse, with red pulsing light on the bottom tip that changed colors. I caught a few seconds of video before the object brightened, then moved out of sight behind the neighbor's roof. I ran to my front lawn, caught sight of it again, and snapped as many pictures as I could before it disappeared.

I returned to my porch, and the object reappeared on the opposite side of the house, in a brief hole between two trees and disappeared. I have since heard from a second witness who saw the same object at 3 AM, the following morning. This case is under investigation by Ed Dobson, Thanks To Ken Pfeifer MUFON New Jersey www.worldufophotos.org

BERNARDSVILLE -- On August 12, 2011, on my way south on Route 287, just north of Mt. Airy Road, I saw an object float east over the highway ahead of me. As I caught up to it, it was kind of saucer shaped but had spikes evenly distributed around the circumference of it. It floated in a straight line but turned to straight up and down as I was directly underneath it. I could not see it any more as it was behind me. I don't think there were any other autos around. It could have been a special kids balloon, but I could not find one on the web like it anywhere. It looked like Saturn with spikes instead of a ring around it and was about 400 feet up. The image is a rendering. This case is under investigation by Ken Pfeifer of MUFON New Jersey. Thanks to MUFON CMS

    ColoradoMutilation.jpg New Mexico Mutilation

Trinidad -- Chuck Zukowski writes, "Monday morning August 8th, 2011, I was contacted by rancher Miller who informed me that one of his cows had been mutilated over the past weekend. I

made arrangements to see the cow later that afternoon. The mutilated animal had incisions on the head, between the forelegs, near the utter and at the anal area. There were no signs of predator take-down evidence, no signs of human intervention, and absolutely no signs of the animal struggling to survive. Pennsylvania Disc and Lights

Elizabethtown -- On August 12, 2011, while letting the dog out at 9 PM, my girlfriend screamed for me and asked me what a meteor shower looked like? I described it as falling stars. She then said, "I saw a UFO coming towards me from the west and it turned north about 200 yards from our house. She described the UFO as a disk shaped object with a dome on top. At the bottom of the dome there were windows with white light. She said, "The lower half of the disk was spinning slowly and had large bright blue, red, and white lights emanating from it. She stated, "The UFO was traveling slowly and silently with its lights reflecting off the tops of the trees which are 90 feet off of the ground. The sun was setting and the moon was almost full with clear skies. We live on the path for MDT and are used to seeing very aircraft. Thanks to MUFON CMS

LEECHBURG -- I was sitting in my car eating on August 9, 2011, when an 400 feet away from me. It moved slowly towards where I was sitting and was about 1000 feet in the air. It was at least 100 feet in diameter and after about 30 seconds it disappeared. I have seen at least seven discs, sphere's, and cigar shaped ufo's in my area over three months. Some were in the daytime, and some at night. I'm 29 years old and sick of government and military entities keeping alien life from us. snip

KENS NOTE: There are thousands of witnesses who report their sightings that feel the same way as this witness. It's frustrating because our government knows these things are real, but no one has the balls to come forth and set the record straight. I am very grateful of MUFON because we at least have a organization where can document and investigate these cases. Thanks to Ken Pfeifer MUFON New Jersey www.worldufophotos.org

    South Carolina Triangle

Sumter -- While looking into the night skies I notices a particular star moving on August 7, 2011. As I continued my observations, the white/bright unknown object began panning left to right, forward and then backwards at a high rate of speed. No sound could be heard. As the sun began to rise I requested that my co-worker to meet with me and to show him what taking place.. He stated, That's a moving star or light and no other stars were visible. The unknown white/bright object continued to move from left to right then forward to backward. After the sun had displayed complete daylight the object colorations changed to a light grayish tone as it appeared to incline upward. Tennessee Cylinder and Very Low Object W/ Lights

TAZEWELL -- It flew directly over the house on August 8, 2011, at fairly fast speed, heading in a northeasterly direction. There were very clear skies and plenty of daylight left at 8 PM. The picture I added are very similar to what we saw. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Memphis -- At 2 AM, on August 2, 2011, I was watching TV when I heard what sounded like a helicopter circling the building really low. I opened the balcony door and saw a dark cylinder with a red and a green light with one blinking. There was also a spotlight on the front of the object. The object also looked to have dark circles on the cylinder part that were just part of the craft itself. I screamed to my girlfriend and heard it coming back and she also saw it. The cylinder dark part of it was facing slighting downwards, like it was looking for someone or something. It flew over again. I could tell it was not man-made as it shifted its spotlight. It pointed the light right over me and I knew it saw me as it flew right above the antenna no more than 15 feet above my head. At this angle, it appeared "wider" or "fatter" more like a soda can. I made sketches of it.

We have been seeing objects for weeks and making reports. The UFOs are usually silver cigar/cylinder shaped and make no sound and appear to glide across the sky, seeming to appear out of nowhere. Snip. Thanks to Peter Davenport, Director National UFO Reporting Center http://www.UFOcenter.com/

Virginia Bright Light High in Sky

Newport News -- I took my dog out to the back yard at 10:15 PM, on August 2, 2011, and was admiring the stars when one star that was moving got my attention. It was above the normal flight path of the aircraft that fly over my house. I was watching this "star when it went out, but I could still see a non-blinking faint red light as the object transited the sky. It was just west of the Big Dipper moving southwest. Thanks to Peter Davenport, Director National UFO Reporting Center http://www.UFOcenter.com/

    Washington Triple Lights

Kennewick -- At around 8:57 PM, on August 6, 2011, I went outside to water some plants and as I looked to see three bright orange lights in a triangle shape. The lights moved silently towards the Blue Ridge Mountains in a slow motion. They disappeared in a fading type of way like when fire turns off. Australia Huge Star

Katherine -- A Northern Territory man has not only seen a mysterious object in the sky "on July 29, 2011. He also took photos of it according to Annie Hesse. David Schuman was having dinner with his boss Phil Richardson near Katherine's Strongbala Men's Healing Centre last Tuesday when an "unusual large star" caught their eyes. "We were both seated around the dinner table, running through the day's events when all of a sudden the boss said,'Hey, that's an unusually large star - in fact that's too big for a star, what is that?," Mr Schuman said. "We saw a very large brightly lit object and it just stood there hovering for 20 minutes above the tree line." Mr Schuman said "I usually carry my camera with me where ever I go - even in the shower, because you never know," he said. "There was a real glowing about the object and it was very bright and every picture that I took was done with a degree of urgency." Mr Schuman said in a later examination, -- THEY are out there, the guys from upstairs, are back in our neck of the world. Thanks to Katherine Time

    Canada Moon Size Light

Kannata Valley, SKATCHEWAN -- A yellow/red glowing light like a candle was seen travelling north over the Kannata Valley, at 10:10 PM, on July 31, 2011. It just travelled NNW in a straight line.

I saw a similar light a few months back, but it was a soft glowing yellow/orange colour about the size of the moon travelling in the same direction. I reported it to Air Traffic Control at the Regina Airport, but got no response. Sighting report via UFOINFO

    Denmark Photo

Skovshoved -- I am trying to report a phenomena recorded on a picture taken in February 20, 2011. The picture was taken at 15 kilometers north of the center of Copenhagen, over the straight of Oresund, facing Sweden.
It was taken at 4:24 PM local time. Please note the apparent flash in the sky in the upper right part of the picture. Thanks to Peter Johansen, Copenhagen Denmark

    Italy Triangle

Shortly after returning from work here in Italy, four aircraft mechanics witnessed a triangle craft or three separate craft fly over our hotel at 12:51 AM. The triangle was transparent as we could see stars from the Big Dipper through the triangle shape as it passed over the hotel. It then banked to the left and shot out of sight heading northwest. We observed this triangle for ten seconds. I was in the Air Force for 15 years, I have never seen anything plane that could fly like this or resemble this shape. Thanks to MUFON CMS

    UK/England Star like object

BANBURY -- I used to cycle back home from work on my cycle through dark unlit country roads in October of 1999. I was heading west along Welsh Road when I saw an object about the size of a UK water tower. The light that appeared to circle around the object gave it a disc like appearance. There were vertical deep red lights that reminded me of a florescent bulb orbiting the object. I phoned my father to see if he'd come and see it, but he was not willing to drive down. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Kingston upon Hull -- My friend and I were sitting in my back yard on August 8, 2011, at 12:22 AM, when I noticed an object like a star moving around very erratically that seemed to be out of control. Then in one split second it had a huge burst of speed and disappeared. Two minutes later another object identical to the previous was spotted further on and was moving erratically as before and disappeared after a huge burst of speed.

This happened two more times in similar ways. We went back into the house because my friend was very tired, but I was stunned at what I saw. All of the objects looked like stars but there behavior was too much like an aircraft that wasn't human and they where white with a silvery haze round them. I was sitting at my desk, pondering how I could get people interested in getting my work of the last thirteen years. I have put together a DVD of Filer's Files with hundreds of great photographs and UFO sightings.

Additionally, I have decided to include my book within the DVD that includes George Ritter's exciting abduction story by Linda Moulton Howe. Broadcaster David E. Twichell has also included much of his excellent dialog for a donation of only $50.

We also include a year's subscription. Please include your e-mail address and mailing address.

Bob Girard of Arcturus Books Has Died

The incredible bookseller, founder and owner of Arcturus Books, Robert Girard died on Friday, August 12, 2011, in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. He had been at the helm of Arcturus since 1980.

For years, anyone who received the printed catalogues and then the emailings from bookseller Bob Girard has experienced some of the most in-depth, opinionated, cutting, humorous reviews and insights about books on cryptozoology, ancient mysteries, Forteana, ufology, parapsychology, and more available.

Bob was a friend. I had known him for over thirty years. I helped him get his mailing list together, I ordered books from him routinely, and he’d sell books of mine direct from the publishers. He wasn’t always kind about what he saw in my books, but I liked him for his honest critiques.

A couple weeks ago, Bob told me he was dying and bills were a problem, as always, due to the decline of the book business. He sent this notice out publicly to his catalogue readers:

This will serve as a short update regarding my health issues as they relate to Arcturus Books. I am badly hobbled by blood clots in both legs, though the one in my left leg has left me immobile, just barely able to move on two legs. Blood clots are an indicator of cancer, and I have just now started the journey I never wanted to make–the one seeking out cancer (prostate) and its extent, could be migrating to the bones, which is late in the game. Between the lack of mobility and inability to do physical work, I have backed up a number of recent orders and back orders. I need to somehow get on top of the clot situation but there just doesn’t seem to be any realistic answer to it. The left leg has to be watched closely for worsening, while improvement just doesn’t seem possible because of the lack of circulation. Meantime it hurts like hell.

So there are orders piling up here–and I urgently need MORE orders of all kinds. I have books enough to do a new catalog but medical appointments are wiping out what working time I can arrange, and life will be like this for some months ahead. It is ironic indeed that a moment long dreaded by both me and, presumably, my customers has arrived for us at the same time. This is where you will likely soon lose your book source for good. It is where I may lose mine, too, and maybe even my life. Both sides–buyers and seller–failed to “take care of business” in our respective ways over the years, foolishly taking for granted that the future would automatically continue the past. Got Brains? You’d better get every dollar you can in here right now, and gorge your library with whatever isn’t nailed down here. You already know you’re never getting MY books–but there are still plenty around here that you can have. Meantime I’ll try to get on my feet more reliably, and get late shipments out, and will try to get more books in with which to continue.

My plan is to go until I’m stopped.
    Arcturus Books
    July 21, 2011

I asked him if I could post another notice on Cryptomundo to help sales of his used books. He really didn’t want me to, for, he said, he might get too many orders to ever complete.

It turns out I did not realize how little time he had left.

Bob wrote me on July 27th:

    Dear Loren,

You’ve always struck me as being one of the most generous and selfless souls in all of paranormal research, and your kind offer here does nothing to sour my opinion. It looks as though I’m terminal with prostate cancer. I don’t know how much “normal” time I might have left, but because this condition has been undoubtedly discovered late, my time is probably measured in a few months. I can’t imagine having much more. I don’t know what approach to take except to play out the hand as best I can, do what I can manage to do, and leave the rest in as capable hands as I can. It seems to me better to take it day by day, for any one of the coming days may turn disastrous, leaving whatever efforts YOU might have made on Arcturus’s behalf in a shambles. It seems so precarious to me that it’s all probably better if just left to us and to fate. I don’t intend to make any major investments in Arcturus from here on. I’ll just try to strip it as much as I can, and close it when I feel I can’t run it gainfully any longer. Subject to whatever minor or major adjustments seem warranted. I do wish to thank you for all of your previous help to Arcturus over the years, and I wish you the best in both your personal and professional life.

    Best wishes always
    Bob

That’s the last I heard from Bob.

The greatest national bookseller of used books ranging from cryptozoology to Forteana, from ufology to parapsychology has passed away.

I am sad to convey this news that is making the rounds of the book world. I send out my deepest condolences to Bob’s family, and especially to Monica who was Bob’s and Arcturus’ partner for the last 24 years.

    Jacques Vallee UFO interview jinn
    Conspire.com

In-depth interview with leading UFO researcher, Jacques Vallee.
    PART 1

Jacques Vallee hesitated before agreeing to be interviewed about the subject for which he's most famous: UFOs. It's not that he's reluctant to discuss the topic, or tussle with the skeptics. After all, he's written close to a dozen books on UFOs, several of them best-sellers, analyzing a notoriously ethereal subject as a hard-headed physical scientist, folklorist, and sociologist. He believes there is more than enough solid evidence to make a compelling case for the existence of UFOs, and he doesn't shy away from an honest debate.

It's the hard-core believers who give Vallee pause. Anyone who has observed the semi-academic cockpit known as "UFOlogy" knows that close encounters of the UFO expert kind shed little light and much heat, dogma and territorial sniping. Vallee's views about UFOs are far more exotic and far stranger than what he calls the reigning "nuts and bolts" approach to the subject. Consequently, he's been attacked by believers so often that he jokingly refers to himself a "heretic among heretics." As Vallee puts it, "I will be disappointed if UFOs turn out to be nothing more than spaceships."

In his recent autobiographical book, Forbidden Science, Vallee summed up his views about the provenance of UFOs, a viewpoint that he's developed through decades of research: "The UFO Phenomenon exists. It has been with us throughout history. It is physical in nature and it remains unexplained in terms of contemporary science. It represents a level of consciousness that we have not yet recognized, and which is able to manipulate dimensions beyond time and space as we understand them." So much for anti-gravity-powered starships ferrying Big Brothers from outer space. Vallee thinks UFOs are likely "windows" to other dimensions manipulated by intelligent, often mischievous, always enigmatic beings we have yet to understand. (60 Greatest Conspiracies of All Time covers Vallee's theories in detail.)

No other UFO researcher has contributed more to an admittedly controversial field. But Vallee commands a measure of respect that must leave his colleagues feeling a bit envious. Even Philip Klass, the avionics expert and the media's favorite UFO-debunker, calls Vallee "one of the more distinguished members of the pro-UFO community." Vallee, he adds, "is one of the brighter physical scientists who believes in UFOs."

Vallee moved to America from his native France in the early 1960s, as young astronomer-turned-computer scientist. Vallee pioneered the use of computers to analyze and categorize the UFO phenomenon, and his 1965 book, Anatomy of a Phenomenon, is still considered one of the most scholarly books on UFOs ever written. At Northwestern University, Vallee assisted Prof. J. Allen Hynek, the academic consultant on the Air Force's infamous Project Bluebook, now seen by most saucer students as either a half-hearted government effort to address the UFO craze of the 1950s and 1960s or a full-blown coverup. While working with Hynek, Vallee and his wife, Janine, compiled the first-ever computer database of UFO sightings.

In 1969, Vallee published another groundbreaking book, Passport to Magonia, in which he collected a body of folkloric "myths" that read remarkably like modern UFO encounters, from Celtic tales of fairyland abductions to Biblical passages and medieval chronicles of "visitors" from beyond. Building on Carl Jung's thesis that UFOs are a sociological phenomenon, a product of the collective unconscious, Vallee forever left behind the space-bound E.T. theorists. But his folklorist's approach to the problem would influence a number of later researchers and writers who continue to echo his ideas about other-dimensional forms of consciousness. Best-selling author Whitley Strieber, Harvard "abductee psychologist" John Mack, and journalist Keith Thompson (author of Angels and Aliens all owe a debt to Vallee. Stephen Spielberg paid homage to Vallee in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, basing his French scientist character (played by Francois Truffaut) on the real French UFO theorist.

We recently had lunch with Vallee in San Francisco at restaurant around the corner from the offices of his high-technology venture capital firm. Part 1 of that interview covers Vallee's theories about UFOs and his belief that science can penetrate mystery of flying disks and alien beings. In Part 2, which we'll publish later this month, Vallee discusses the second sphere of his researches: The connection between the UFO phenomenon and the religious impulse. Vallee believes that the intelligence guiding UFOs is a kind of control mechanism, an invisible hand shaping the development of human consciousness over a period of eons. In the second installment he also talks about the theory that from time to time governments have manipulated public opinion through UFO mythology--in some instances constructing elaborate hoaxes for propagandistic purposes.
    -------------------------------------------------

60GCAT: Why are Americans obsessed with the idea that outer space aliens are the pilots of UFOs?

Vallee: I think Americans, if they are interested in the subject, are very literal. They want to kick the tires, which is a good American thing to do. They want to do reverse engineering on the propulsion system. And when I tell them, "Look, maybe those things don't have a propulsion system," you get a strange reaction. Just like, if you remember, in Close Encounters, the Truffaut character keeps going around saying this is a sociological phenomenon, not just physical. And he has a lot of trouble getting that idea across.

60GCAT: At one point you subscribed to the theory that UFOs might be extraterrestrial in origin. . . .

Vallee: When I met Stephen Spielberg, I argued with him that the subject was even more interesting if it wasn't extraterrestrials. If it was real, physical, but not ET. So he said, "You're probably right, but that's not what the public is expecting--this is Hollywood and I want to give people something that's close to what they expect." Which is fair.

60GCAT: So what do we know for sure about the nature of UFOs?

Vallee: There is a phenomenon. We don't know where it comes from. It's characterized by its physical [traces]. Eighty percent of all the cases have trivial explanations. But I'm talking about the core phenomena. It seems to involve a lot of energy in a small space; it seems to involve pulsed microwaves, among other things. There isn't much that is known about the effect of pulsed microwaves on the brain, so it's quite possible that some of the stories that you get from people are essentially induced hallucinations in sincere witnesses--the witnesses are not lying. They really have been exposed to something genuine but there is no way to go back to what that thing was, based on their description, because their brain has been affected by proximity to that energy.

Having said that, I have plenty of colleagues in science and technology I respect who tell me this could be a natural phenomenon--this could be an undiscovered form of energy in the atmosphere. We don't know much about the effect of electromagnetic fields on the nervous system. We're going to be discovering that as we go. So, it's quite possible that there could be a phenomenon like that, a very spontaneous thing. Or it could be artificial. If it's artificial it could come from another form of consciousness, which may or may not be extraterrestrial. It's a big universe out there. Who are we to say where it comes from? We can only speculate on that point.

60GCAT: How can we use our own comparatively backward technology to investigate this mystery?

Vallee: Where I think that technology can be of help is in looking for patterns. And I did as much of that as anybody else. I built, with my wife, the first computer database of UFO sightings. But where I think computers could be used much better is in applying artificial intelligence, reason, and inference to eliminating the reports that have natural causes. I developed a software prototype of that, which was called OVNIBASE, which I turned over to the French CNES; presumably they are developing a next version of it, and running it on their database.

60GCAT: What about other technologies that can help us analyze evidence better than we could, say, 10 years ago?

Vallee: Digital enhancement of photographs is very useful. In my book, Confrontations, I mention the photograph that I brought back from Costa Rica, which was unusual because the object was over a lake [Lago de Cote], so there was a uniform black background. Everything is known about the aircraft that took the photo. At the time the picture was taken [in 1971], nobody on the plane had seen the object. It was only after the film was developed that the object was discovered. The camera used was exceptional: It produced a very large negative--ten inches, very detailed. You can see cows in the field. The time is known; the latitude, longitude and attitude of the aircraft is known. So we spent a lot of time analyzing that photograph, without being able to find any obvious natural answer to the object. It seems to be a very large, solid thing.

I obtained the negative from the government of Costa Rica--if you don't have the negative, analysis is a waste of time. I also obtained the negative of the picture taken before and the picture after, all uncut. I took negatives to a friend of mine in France who works for a firm that digitally analyzes satellite photographs. They digitized the entire thing, and then analyzed it to the extent that they could, and could not find an explanation for the object.

60GCAT: It's hard for Americans to grasp the idea that UFOs might be a manifestation the other-dimensional. . . .

Vallee: You have to keep an open mind. What I try to do is what any cop would do: I try to listen to the witnesses instead of printing my own theories. Theories are a dime a dozen. They don't do any good. It's much more useful, I think, just to listen to what people are telling you, and I've been trying to do that not just in the U.S., but also in Europe and other places I've visited, like Brazil and Argentina, and try to look for patterns.

60GCAT: You're a bit of a controversial figure among UFO researchers, mainly because you entertain theories more exotic than the UFOs-are-from-outer-space paradigm.

Vallee: I've antagonized a number of the believers in UFOs. Number one, because I'm not ready to jump to any conclusion that it's necessarily extraterrestrial--we're not smart enough to know what they are at this point. And the research has not been done. I certainly remember enough of my training in astronomy to tell you that the universe is big enough to have other forms of life than us; at least we hope that it does. But so far we cannot prove it. So we cannot see how they would come here--they probably would be much advanced with respect to our physics, and they would have found a way to do it. But that does not explain UFOs.

I've also antagonized a lot of people because I think that the way abductions are being handled is wrong. It's not only wrong scientifically, it's wrong morally and ethically. I've been telling people, don't let anyone hypnotize you if you've seen a strange light in the sky. I think a lot of those people prominent in the press and in the National Enquirer and in the talk shows and so on are creating abductees under hypnosis. They are hypnotizing everybody who's ever had a strange experience and telling them they are abductees by suggestion. And they are doing that in good faith. They don't realize what they are doing. But to my way of thinking, that's unethical.

60GCAT: What do you think of John Mack, the Harvard psychologist who believes that alien abductions are a real phenomenon? Of course, he uses hypnosis on his patients to liberate "repressed memories" of those abductions.

Vallee: I respect him for his courage in addressing the issue, but I don't agree with his methods.

I've taken some witnesses who wanted to be hypnotized, taken them to specialists in two cases out of maybe 70 cases of abductions that I've studied. And usually the specialists tell me that hypnosis is not necessarily the best way of helping these people. Nor is it the best way to recover memories. It may help in very specific cases. But I've never hypnotized anybody--I'm not qualified to do it.

60GCAT: How did you first become interested in UFOs and paranormal phenomena?

Vallee: I started out wanting to do astronomy and I ruined essentially a perfectly good career in science by becoming interested in computers. This was in France in the early days of computing and the earliest days of satellites and space exploration. So I took some of the earliest computer courses at French universities.

My first job was at Paris observatory, tracking satellites. And we started tracking objects that were not satellites, were fairly elusive, and so we decided that we would pay attention to those objects even though they were not on the schedule of normal satellites. And one night we got eleven data points on one of these objects--it was very bright. It was also retrograde. This was at a time when there was no rocket powerful enough to launch a retrograde satellite, a satellite that goes around opposite to the rotation of the earth, where you obviously need to overcome the earth's gravity going the other direction. You have to reach escape velocity in the direction opposite the rotation of the earth, which takes a lot more energy than the direct direction. And the man in charge of the project confiscated the tape and erased it the next morning.

So that's really what got me interested. Because up to then I thought, Scientists don't seem to be interested in UFOs, astronomers don't report anything unusual in the sky, so there probably isn't anything to it. Effectively, I was in the same position that most scientists are in today--you trust your colleagues, and because you don't see any reports from credible, technical witnesses, you assume that there is nothing. And there I was with a technical report--I don't know what it was. It wasn't a flying saucer--it didn't land close to the observatory. But still, it was a mystery. And instead of looking at the data and preserving the data, we were destroying it.

60GCAT: Why did he destroy it?

Vallee: Just fear of ridicule. He thought that the Americans would laugh at us, if we sent it--all of the data on satellites was being concentrated in the U.S. And we were exchanging our data with international bodies. And he just didn't want Paris observatory to look silly by reporting some thing that he could not identify in the sky. [This was in] 1961. Later I found out that other observatories had made exactly the same observation, and that in fact American tracking stations had photographed the same thing and could not identify it either. It was a first magnitude object: it was as bright as [the star] Sirius. You couldn't miss it. It didn't reappear in successive weeks. It's just a little anecdote, but to me that fact that we destroyed it was more important than what we saw. And that reopened the whole question for me: Are there things that scientists are observing and not talking about? And then I started extending a small network of scientists, which is still active, and found that there was a lot of data that was never published. In fact, the best data has never been published. I think a great deal of the misunderstanding about UFOs among scientists is that the scientists have never had access to the best data.

60GCAT: Why has the best data never been published?

Vallee: I talk to a lot of technical companies where the executives are aware of my interests, and I've had a lot of reports under seal of confidentiality from people in science and in business who had seen things. About a year ago, a vice president at IBM took me aside after a conference and said, "Are you the same Jacques Vallee who is interested in UFOs?" And he described a perfectly classic UFO close encounter story that he and his family had in upstate New York. This is not something that is going to be in the National Enquirer.

I met a man who is president of a technical company in Silicon Valley; he wanted to tell me about his experiences. He had been a very-high ranking naval officer in command of a large ship, and he had three experiences with UFOs, two of them in the service in very sensitive positions--and at one time when he was a test pilot. He has never reported any of the encounters, even when he was a pilot. I said, "Weren't you under obligation to report it?" And he said, "Maybe I was, but if they have the slightest doubt about what you are seeing up there, you are [considered to be] crazy--they won't let you near the cockpit of an experimental plane." And he said, "If you're a pilot, you want to fly. You don't want to spend the next month filling out forms for a bunch of psychiatrics." Which is what will happen. I think any pilot will tell you the same thing, you know, over a beer. So those are the cases that I'm interested in. The cases that have not been reported in the press, haven't been distorted in the retelling. When I have time, I follow up on those cases with my own resources basically out of curiosity, with no preconceived idea.

60GCAT: But skeptics always argue that even though there may be anecdotal evidence, there's no hard scientific data. . . .

Vallee: There is plenty of data--and it should be analyzed further. But I do not think it's going to be a propeller from a flying saucer. I think it is going to be things that would be interesting if you could find a pattern to the material. I'm skeptical about stories of crashed saucers; I have an open mind about it, but I've heard those stories for so many years and they never really amount to anything tangible. Also, I am skeptical for another reason: We build technologies now that are extremely reliable where there is the need. How often does your hard disk crash? I mean, if you keep your computer for 15 years, eventually the hard disk is going to crash. But you don't expect that to happen. If you were going to build a technology that takes you across interstellar space, it would have to be extremely reliable.

60GCAT: In your books, you detail the hard data turned up in European investigations.

Vallee: There is a small unit of the CNES, which is the French equivalent of NASA, that has permission to investigate any cases of UFOs. They were set up in the mid-'70s and they've been going ever since. They found a number of cases that couldn't be explained, and some cases were never published with all the data. Cases where there were traces on the ground, where there was evidence of heat, evidence of radiation, including pulsed microwave radiation, and evidence of plants being affected. Again, that doesn't prove anything. It just proves that there was something there. It doesn't tell you what it was. But it certainly is a valid technical issue.

This data doesn't tell you if the phenomenon is natural or not, because it doesn't tell you enough about the conditions where that happened. And that's where I think a lot more research should be done. People have come to me saying, "Look, I was a pilot or in a radar station in Alaska, and we were tracking UFOs--we recorded the data, and I was a pilot and followed one of those things and got gun camera footage of it. When I landed there was a guy waiting for me, in blue jeans and a sweater, who said, 'You didn't see anything up there.'" Meanwhile, a guy with a screwdriver is unhooking the camera from the fuselage. Usually witnesses have no idea where those guys come from. But somebody has a lot of data; and I think that this hard data should be turned over to science, certainly the stuff from 20 years ago--I mean, how classified can it be? By now, we should have known if it was an enemy, so we should turn over the data to the scientific community. Let the skeptics analyze it from their point of view and let anyone else analyze it from their point of view. That's the way science should be done.

    --------------------------------------------------

    PART 2

Vallee refers to this complex system of control--which is shaping human society over the course of thousands of years--as an "interface of reality with consciousness." It sounds a lot like Arthur C. Clarke's science fictional theme in 2001: A Space Odyssey--an alien intelligence subtly directing the course of human development, toward mysterious ends. Talk about your cosmic conspiracies!

But Vallee also has controversial ideas about human-made UFO conspiracies. "I was investigating some cases that were physically real," he says, "but they were hoaxes--yet not hoaxes on the part of the witnesses."

The two most stunning cases of faked UFO events that Vallee has uncovered occurred rather recently in the history of saucer sightings. In 1980, a strange object purportedly "crashed" in England's Rendlesham Forest, a few miles away from an American Air Force Base. Dozens of military personnel were dispatched into the forest, without weapons, before the supposed crash of a luminous object. After the incident conflicting stories leaked to the press and to civilian investigators, some of the leaks apparently originating from the front office of the military base. Vallee's conclusion--controversial among UFO believers who insist that aliens touched down in Rendlesham Forest--is that "the event had all the earmarks of being staged for the benefit of the witnesses, perhaps so that their psychological reactions could be studied."

Even more bizarre is the information turned up by French investigators in the wake of a bizarre 1979 abduction case. An unemployed young man named Franck Fontaine disappeared outside of his apartment one morning, reportedly after his friends saw him enveloped in a luminous fog. After a week of frenzied press coverage and a fruitless search by the authorities, Fontaine turned up in a field outside the apartment--with no memory of his unusual experience. His friends insisted he had been abducted by a UFO, and police investigators, though they doubted that claim, found no other satisfactory explanation.

But as Vallee reports, investigators from GEPAN, the French government's aerial phenomena study group, were led to an official in the French Ministry of Defense who willingly described the so-called UFO abduction as an "Exercise of General Synthesis." What happened to Fontaine? "We put him to sleep and he was put under an altered state of high suggestibility," replied the official. When asked if the "exercise" was intended to test the investigative abilities of local law enforcement agencies, the official said, "That would be a fair way to describe it." Then he added, ominously, "If this operation had been completed, the next phase would have been far worse." As Vallee notes in his best-selling book, Revelations, "It would be fair to assume that the [Fontaine] operation could have been a test, perhaps a prelude to an experiment of wider scope."

Vallee says he knows the name of the French official, an Air Force officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

So what on earth--to pick an appropriate planet--is going on? Vallee has several theories that might explain such UFO flimflam. The military may be experimenting with psychological warfare techniques, as the Germans did in World War I, when they projected images of the Virgin Mary on banks of smoke in an effort to spook the French into saying their Rosaries instead of killing Germans. Vallee also thinks that sham UFO reports might be used as cover for tests of new military stealth technology.

But the most troubling "deception theory" Vallee poses is that from time to time, the target of UFO hoaxes might be the general public, or a segment thereof.

"In some cases," he says, "the community of ufologists may simply be used in a sociological experiment because they are a convenient group of people to test, to see how they react to different rumors."

Sounds a bit improbable, but Vallee's research into the growth of UFO "contactee" cults is suggests that such manipulation occurs. In his book, Messengers of Deception, Vallee explored the rise of a new kind of religious movement throughout the world: the UFO Messiah cults, in which believers await the coming of bubble-headed saviors in saucers. You can find these groups in Europe and the Americas, in increasing numbers. Want a glimpse of this otherworldly subculture? Just buzz into any of the alt.alien Usenet groups or enter the magic word "UFO" into any World Wide Web search engine and see how fast you're channeled into one of the most heavily trodden alternate dimensions of online obsession since Big Brother went digital.

Listen to "Seth," the channeled alien being from beyond; hear the Venusian commander known as Val Thor, who parks his spaceship on Lake Mead near Las Vegas as if it were an extraterrestrial houseboat (when he's not advising the Pentagon); heed the warnings of the well-heeled "Rael," who speaks through a French contactee and runs a worldwide organization.

According to Vallee, the French press has recently reported that the notorious Order of the Solar Temple--in the news last year after 53 members committed suicide in Switzerland and Canada--told its followers that the highest levels of initiation involved meetings with extraterrestrial beings. The cult used holographic projectors purchased in the United States to fool its members. "As you may recall," says Vallee, "members of the cult were educated people and professionals--not crazy kids on drugs."

So without further ado, we present Part 2 of the Jacques Vallee interview:

    Liquid Sky

60GCAT: Let's talk about some of the other forms of hard evidence that scientists can look at when studying the UFO problem. For instance, chunks of molten metal, the so-called "liquid sky" samples.

Vallee: On their own, these metal samples are not compelling evidence. But the existence of this material does show that there is data that scientists can look at. When we received the Bogota, Columbia, sample [supposedly the remnants of a plume of liquid slag ejected from a flying disk over the University of Bogota in the mid-1970s] we sawed off one little corner for analysis. It turned out to be mostly aluminum. Again, this doesn't prove anything: you could make a hunk of this stuff in your backyard by pouring molten metal into a pool of water. Metallurgically, the Bogota sample is not that unusual--except that it has gone through a violent heating, not just up to a boiling point, but beyond. My point has always been that it is interesting to see what patterns emerge from analysis of enough of these samples. If you kept picking up specimens like that, it might move your research into a particular direction.

60GCAT: One theory is that this liquid metal is part of the UFOs' propulsion system.

Vallee: There are [man-made] motors that use liquid metal--usually mercury--for liquid contact. But the temperatures necessary for molten aluminum and other metals would have to be quite extreme.

60GCAT: What about liquid sky samples that are of a slightly more exotic makeup than the aluminum slag?

Vallee: The only one that's unusual is the one that Prof. Peter Sturrock (a plasma physicist at Stanford University) has. It comes from Ubatuba, Brazil. In the early 1930s, an object exploded over a beach in Ubatuba. [In 1957, an alleged fragment from the explosion turned up; its precise origin is uncertain.] Subsequent analysis at the University and Colorado and Stanford confirmed that the material was magnesium and magnesium oxide, with a very minute amount of impurities. If the metal really did originate in the 1930s, it would be very unusual because given the technology of the day, someone would have had to go to a lot of trouble to get it that pure.

    The Cosmic Database

60GCAT: Let's talk about some of the implications of your research. If the UFO phenomenon is real, but is not aliens from outer space, we're talking about new ways of thinking about reality and cosmology, aren't we?

Vallee: Yes. In that sense, phenomenon is much more important than visitors from another planet would be. Because it fundamentally challenges the nature of reality. If UFOs are a physical reality, they certainly violate everything we think we know about reality. There are reliable reports of material UFOs that become immaterial and disappear on the spot.

60GCAT: Your theories about UFOs and other "paranormal" phenomena involve your metaphor of the "informational universe," where time and space and whatever other dimensions there might be act as a kind of cosmic computer database. What do you mean by that?

Vallee: You can get a consistent representation of reality if you look at the world as a collection of events, or 'instances' (as the philosophy of Occasionalism did in the eleventh century), rather than as a collection of material objects moving in 3-dimensional space as time flows. In virtual reality, of course, you can't tell the difference. In the real world information and energy are actually the same physical quantity. In a universe viewed as 'informational events' you should expect coincidences, telepathy, time travel, multiple realities--all those things that seem impossible in the 4-D energy universe. To me that's why puzzles like UFOs are interesting. I don't have a personal theory to "explain" them, but I see them as an opportunity to pose new questions. If it's true that information resides in the questions we ask, coming up with novel problems may be more important than having answers, at this stage of our very limited understanding of the universe.

60GCAT: So reality is like a computer database in that the right search word or "incantation" might cause a piece of information--a UFO or ghost or other anomaly--to materialize.

Vallee: If you think of [reality] as the software for the universe, all it would take is for someone to change a comma in the program and the chair you are sitting in wouldn't be a chair at all. The major benefit from this model is that it handles anomalies very well. Coincidences would be a normal expectation. If you address a database with a request for anything with the word "pool" you will get ads for sunscreen, lotions, billiard balls and an investment prospectus or two. In parapsychology gifted subjects may be forcing similar coincidences between separate locations or separate minds. One way of testing the theory, by the way, is to create massive informational anomalies and see what happens when they collapse. You could enhance remote viewing experiments, for instance, by loading the site with large quantities of data about highly unlikely events or situations, then quickly erase that data to collapse the singularity.

60GCAT: Of course, now we're talking about the intersection of science and mysticism. Do you consider yourself a mystical person?

Vallee: I have never been comfortable with an arbitrary separation of the world into the physical universe (which is presumably what science studies) and the psychological, social and psychic side of life. To me that arbitrary separation is the major weakness of our intellectual system.

Most scientists who decide to study astronomy at an early age, as I did, are probably motivated by something akin to a mystical desire to understand the night sky and to embrace the larger issues. As time goes on, of course, that desire gets eroded and trivialized. In my case I managed to keep that curiosity fresh because although I haven't had a "mystical" experience in a religious sense, I have always suspected that there was another level of consciousness and that it was accessible to the human mind. I have found similar feelings among many Net programmers, who were drawn to networking by the impression of operating outside the normal constraints of time and space, something akin to what mystics describe, although of course much more mundane.

    The Controllers

60GCAT: You've said that UFOs represent a form of alien intelligence that is actively manipulating human society. How and toward what end?

Vallee: A new computer analysis of historical trends, compiled in the 1970s, led me to plot a striking graph of "waves" of UFO activity that was anything but periodic. Fred Beckman and Dr. Price Williams of UCLA pointed out that it resembled a schedule of reinforcement typical of a learning or training process: the phenomenon was more akin to a control system than to an exploratory task force of alien travelers. There are many control systems around us, and some are a part of nature: ecology, climate, etc. Some are man-made: the process of education, the thermostat in your home. If the UFO phenomenon represents a control system, can we test it to determine if it is natural or artificial, open or closed? This is one of the interesting questions about the phenomenon that has never been answered.

    Chariots of the Frauds

60GCAT: Speaking of control systems, some of your other avenues of UFO research have led you to suggest that from time to time human agencies--governments, cults, and other groups interested in manipulating people's beliefs--have engineered UFO deceptions and hoaxes. Now we're really getting conspiratorial. . . .

Vallee: I think the place where ufology--the way it has developed today--meets with my interest in communications, and my interest in networks is in deception and manipulation. I think that is an area of which people should be aware. Because I think a lot of the things that are being discussed today, among people who believe in UFOs, are either mythical or a part of manipulation of some sort, which could include the stories of little aliens and the hybrids and abductions and so forth. A lot of that may be either material that cults have injected into the culture because it suits their own fantasy about the end of the world or the millennium and all that.

Or, in a more sinister sense, in some of the cases I've investigated, the deception hides a mind-control experiment. Anybody who is aware of technology today should know that we have much more than a stealth fighter flying around. We have capabilities, theoretical or practical, to make all types of things. There is a massive development of nonlethal platforms going on that those platforms have to be tested somewhere, they have to be disguised as something else from time to time. There has been massive development of RPVs--remotely piloted vehicles--some of which are disk-shaped. There is massive development of low observable technologies that are used for reconnaissance and can be used for all sorts of other things. And in many cases, the UFO stories are not simply fantasies in the minds of a few witnesses, but may have been planted as part of a cover for some very terrestrial technologies that we are developing.

    'Messengers of Deception?'

60GCAT: The UMMO cult, which you discuss at length in your books, Revelations and Messengers of Deception, has an impressive history of elaborate deception. Tell us about it.

Vallee: I think that the UMMO myth was started by a small group of people, essentially cultists. What was intriguing about UMMO was all its pseudo-scientific revelations [supposedly handed down to earthling scientists like Vallee from UMMO-ites, beings who hail from a planet 14.6 light years away from our sun]. But these supposed revelations were not within the state of the art. They didn't come up with proof of Fermat's theorem or something like that, it was just perfectly good science fiction.

60GCAT: What about the French theory that UMMO was a psychological experiment?

Vallee: Yeah, they thought that the cult had been used or was manipulated by the KGB. Because for one thing, some of their ideas--some of the data that was supposedly channeled from the UMMO organization in the sky was very advanced cosmology. Very advanced cosmology about twin universes involving some data that was not stupid--it came straight out of the notes of Andre Sakarav, including some of the unpublished notes of Sakarav, some things that Sakarav was known to have worked on, but had not published. And so some people--and I don't know who's right--felt that somebody had to have access to those notes, to inspire those messages, perhaps the KGB. It wasn't just ordinary science fiction; it was somebody who knew what some of the more advanced cosmologists were thinking.

60GCAT: Why would the KGB or any intelligence agency perpetrate such an arcane hoax?

Vallee: Well, let me tell you a little story. About fifteen years ago there was a group that suddenly appeared in San Francisco. They had a big party downtown. And they invited everybody who was anybody in parapsychology. And they made a little speech saying, "We have all this money from somebody who wants to do good and help research, we know that there isn't much money in parapsychology; we will entertain proposals for research, give us your best ideas; we will send it to a panel who will review it and we will fund the best research." After the party, a lot of people rushed home to their computers and typed in all their best ideas, sent it on--but the organization never existed, was never heard from again. Somebody was fishing.

So having a cover as a group sometimes, a completely weird group, can be a convenient way of getting technical intelligence. It's a good way of doing technological assessment. So some of those weird groups could be used for that. Now, that doesn't explain why they would do it for ten years. In the case of UMMO, why would you go on? I think that UMMO became sort of a goal in itself. It became self-propagating. because so many people got drawn to it, psychologically. They started writing things about each other and it became a self-sustaining myth. They're still sending me stuff. There is an index, catalogs; for some people it's become their entire life. Increasingly, we're seeing those kinds of cults appearing in net space, cyberspace.

60GCAT: Is there something about online communications that helps foster myths and deceptions?

Vallee: Because we live in a world where with communications media based on digital networks, a small group of people can have a tremendous impact on the belief of the masses. And we also live in a world where the belief of the masses is a strategic weapon. We have H-bombs but we can't use them. We have neutron bombs, but we can't use them. But if we found a way of influencing the beliefs of masses of people, that would have great strategic impact. The big problems in the world are the problems of fundamentalism and religion--whether it's Islamic or in other forms of religion. Those are the great destabilizing forces in the world today. Well, belief in Extraterrestrials coming here to save us can be induced in large masses of people with the technical means that exist today.

The potential for contagion of absurd beliefs is a real one. In the hands of people who might deliberately use the Internet to create an epidemic of irrationalism we might see the emergence of a whole new class of very dangerous, powerful cults with all the trappings of high technology.

And I think somebody has to pay attention to that angle. So I was led to that by finding-- I was investigating some cases that were physically real, but were hoaxes--but not hoaxes on the part of the witnesses. And the story about the object had in fact been planted.

The Bentwaters case [in which American servicemen at an Air Force base in England observed a disk-shaped craft land in the forest] is a classic. At the landing site, they had a mix of ordinary guards, officers, sentries and so on--they all had orders to go to the site under a scenario. And that's not what would of happened if the encounter were real--if a strange object landed on the base you wouldn't be sending out a hundred people without weapons. The thing has all the earmarks of being staged for the benefit of the witnesses, so that they could be studied and the reactions of the different psychological types and of different ranks could be studied. And when you think about it, it's not that weird. If you were in charge of a project like that, you'd have to test it in conditions where nobody is danger and you can get the data you need. In cases like this one--not many but a few of them--that I investigated, I had to conclude that these were tests of virtual reality projectors.

    Psy-Ops from 'Beyond'

60GCAT: So there might be military applications for this technology of deception?

Vallee: Our gods have always come from the sky. And how would a god come from the sky today? He would come down in some kind of space ship. He couldn't just appear out of the clouds, I mean, that won't work. Although in World War I the Germans were using psychological warfare by projecting photographs, slides, along French lines. And I'm sure the French were doing the same thing to the Germans. And there are very sophisticated devices now being used in psychological warfare to create holograms, to create visions to influence people. It might not work with you and me today if we go out today and see something in the skies, it might not destabilize us. But if we were under a lot of stress--if you've been fighting for a month on some little island, and all of the sudden something like that happens--

I remember seeing a letter to the U.S. Air Force from a man who was finally reporting something he had seen during World War II in the Pacific. He said he was on top of a little island lookout point. They were expecting a Japanese attack. They had been fighting intensely on and off for several weeks. They were fairly isolated. They saw an object in the sky that was absolutely physical, that circled the island, was a disk, no means of propulsion, no noise. It circled the island and went off. And he said he had never reported it, not even to his wife. The reason he didn't report it at the time was that his men were under such stress that he wouldn't want them to think that their commander might be flipping. So the same kind of psychological means that won't work with ordinary people and ordinary things might work in exceptional cases.

60GCAT: And therefore cultists and UFO true believers--who are under a kind of ideological stress--might be seen as ideal targets for such manipulation.

Vallee: In some cases the UFO community may be simply used in a sociological experiment because they are a convenient group of people to see how they would react to different rumors. [Suppose the government loses a nuclear weapon over a foreign country.] You still have to go and recover that thing. And you can't tell people what you're doing, so you have to be able to very quickly plant a story. You might plant a story that this was a flying saucer from Venus. That would be so ridiculous that scientists wouldn't go check. You might have a few journalists there, but you can tell them whatever you want, and you can give them photographs of whatever. And so all you need is to distract everybody for two or three days, time to bring the equipment, get everything out, recover whatever was scattered and go away. I think there are cases where exactly that has happened. And those are sort of the great UFO stories that people still tell around campfire.

But I think there was no UFO there. I think the UFO story was invented-- I was saying earlier it's healthy to be skeptical. I respect people who have a skeptical argument there. Jim Oberg, who is a specialist in the Russian space program, pointed out to me that some of the sightings that I published from the Soviet Union--a strange yellowish crescent seen going through the sky by many people in the Soviet Union--that those were rocket tests that were illegal under the Salt agreement; and obviously, they couldn't hide it in the sky. . . so the government planted the story that there was a flying saucer, and that got into the newspapers.

Again, the UFO research community is a useful laboratory in which to observe the effects of propaganda and disinformation, since it is driven in large part by an intent to expose "the coverup." This creates an opportunity for people to masquerade as good guys and "reveal" all sorts of unverifiable rumors. They meet with a receptive audience because the context is one of "independent inquiry of original, bold, nonconformist ideas. Does that mean we should necessarily believe the man who claims he was in NATO intelligence and saw a classified document about the four humanoid races that live on the moon? I don't think so.

As U.K. Releases UFO Files, Former UFO Project Chief Apologizes For 'Spin And Dirty Tricks' (Exclusive)

As the British National Archives continues to release UFO-related documents, the former Ministry of Defense (MoD) UFO Project chief is openly admitting to being part of what he claims was a U.K. policy of ridiculing UFO reports and the people who reported them.

The U.K. made public 34 previously-classified files, totaling about 9,000 pages of documents covering the years 1985 to 2007. For three of those years, 1991 to 1994, Nick Pope was in charge of the official MoD office.

"What's abundantly clear from these files is that, while in public we were desperately pushing the line that this was of no defense interest," Pope told The Huffington Post. "We couldn't say 'There's something in our air space; pilots see them; they're tracked on radar; sometimes we scramble jets to chase these things, but we can't catch them.' This would be an admission that we'd lost control of our own air space, and such a position would be untenable."

    WATCH:

"Every time we got a report from a pilot, we were checking the radar tapes. So it was an interesting sleight of hand. We were telling the public we're not interested, this is all nonsense, but in reality, we were desperately chasing our tails and following this up in great detail," he added.

One file reveals how officials were afraid to be embarrassed if the public learned that UFO research was hindered by a lack of funds and higher priorities.

Another case, from 2007, took place in the vicinity of the Channel Islands and involved a small commercial aircraft.

"The pilot and several of his passengers saw a UFO, which they said was essentially a mile long," Pope recounted. "And several other pilots saw it, but said, 'We're not going to report this.' And here's the great little get-out-of-jail-free-card for the MoD: Just by a matter of maybe a few hundred meters, it turned out that this was in French air space, so MoD was given this little get out to say, 'Well, it happened in French air space, so it's not an issue for us.' Clearly, that was an absolutely outrageous abrogation of responsibility."

A file from 1993 (while Pope was chief of the UFO Project) describes how European Union funds had been wasted on a report that included a theory that aliens had established a base in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

It turns out that Pope may have been directly involved with this case.

"I'm a little bit apologetic about this because obviously, when I was in MoD, I had to play this game myself. To really achieve our policy of downplaying the UFO phenomenon, we would use a combination of 'spin and dirty tricks.'

"We used terms like UFO buffs and UFO spotters -- terms that mean these people are nut jobs. In other words, we were implying that this is just a very somewhat quaint hobby that people have as opposed to a serious research interest."

But Pope said the ridicule policy went much further than that.

"Another trick would be deliberately using phrases like 'little green men.' We were trying to do two things: either to kill any media story on the subject, or if a media story ran, insure that it ran in such a way that it would make the subject seem ridiculous and that it would make people who were interested in this seem ridiculous."

    WATCH:

Pope further admits that he may have been the one who drafted actual MoD statements that contributed to the ridicule policy.

"If it was my words, then I apologize, I'm very sorry for that. I believe in open government and freedom of information. I believe that the UFO phenomenon does raise important defense, national security and air safety issues, and if I helped kill any initiative on that, I'm deeply sorry."

Some U.K. cases were apparently easier than others in trying to make them seem non-credible. Like the file that describes UFOs reported at the June 2003 Glastonbury Music Festival.

"It was very easy to find an incident where something is seen at an event like a rock concert," Pope noted. "You don't even need to say a thing without the public or media perception being that drugs and alcohol might have played a part. It was all part of the way in which we spun the subject, to try and discredit it."

Despite the thousands of pages of documents released -- with one final batch of files yet to come, sometime early next year -- Pope concedes there's still no written evidence confirming alien visits to Earth.

"Not just yet -- there's no spaceship-in-a-hangar smoking gun. However, there are plenty of sightings that I think show that we're dealing with more than just aircraft lights and weather balloons."

The latest 34 U.K. UFO files can be downloaded free of charge for the next month at the National Archives website.

British Police UFO Encounters - The Alan Godfrey Case
Alan Godfrey is a retired police constable who served with the West Yorkshire Metropolitan Police Force. His life and career are notable for having been entangled in some of Britain's most unusual mysteries, including the Zigmund Adamski case, allegedly connected with the UFO phenomenon. His alleged UFO encounter took place during one of the most active waves of UFO sightings in British history.[1] He is considered by some ufologists to be one of the first alien abductees in Britain.[2] Ufologist Jenny Randles has claimed that the Alan Godfrey case cemented the Pennines as the central hot spot of UFO activity in Britain, and possibly in all of Europe

If memory serves, I saw this case somewhere in the 1990s or so. I believe it was shown that the UFO in the video had been made of toys, wood, sticks, ropes and artificial lights. However, I am not sure about what was used to make it credible and real. I believe I saw it on the Internet or on a 1997 CD-rom entitled Sightings UFOPEDIA which I still have but I cannot open and play it anymore on my iMac. Has anyone ever heard of such a fabrication related to this case?

US military loses contact with hypersonic aircraft

The HTV-2 is designed by engineers to travel at 13,000mph (21,000km/h)

US military scientists lost contact with an unmanned hypersonic experimental aircraft on its second test flight, officials said.

The Falcon Hypersonic Test Vehicle 2 (HTV-2) successfully separated from its rocket but lost contact shortly into its "glide phase".The plane is designed to travel at Mach 20, or 20 times the speed of sound.

The Falcon project is part of the US defence department's plans to develop a rapid-strike weapons system.

A hypersonic plane could potentially enable the US military to hit targets anywhere in the world in under an hour.

    Highly complex

The HTV-2 - shaped like the tip of a spear - took off atop a Minotaur IV rocket from Vanderberg Air Force Base in California early on Thursday.

It was propelled to the edges of space where it then separated from the rocket.

The aim by engineers was that it would glide back to Earth at 13,000mph (21,000km/h) - enduring temperatures in excess of 3,500F (2,000C) - before plunging into the Pacific Ocean.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (Darpa), which is funding the HTV-2 programme and overseeing the tests, said more than nine minutes of data was collected "before an anomaly caused loss of signal".

"Initial indications are that the aircraft impacted the Pacific Ocean along the planned flight path," Darpa said in a statement on its website.

An HTV-2 plane was first tested last year, and ended with the craft crashing into the Pacific after the military lost contact with the glider nine minutes into the flight.

However, the flight still managed to return 139 seconds of aerodynamic data at a velocity between 17 and 22 times the speed of sound, Darpa said.

"We know how to boost the aircraft to near space," Maj Chris Schulz, the programme manager, was quoted as saying on Darpa's website.

"We know how to insert the aircraft into atmospheric hypersonic flight. We do not yet know how to achieve the desired control during the aerodynamic phase of flight. It's vexing; I'm confident there is a solution. We have to find it."

Maj Shulz said a team of experts would now analyse the flight data and expand "our technical understanding of this incredibly harsh flight regime".

Some analysts say a second uncompleted flight could force Darpa to rethink the entire project, the BBC's Marcus George in Washington reports.

In Special Reports, this week's files cover: BBC Reporter Spots UFO and broadcasts to millions, Mysterious UFO-like Object Spotted on Baltic Sea Floor, Large Solar Flare, Flowing Water on Mars and a little Face, Astronaut Buzz Aldrin's Apollo 11 Communion Kit, UFO Cults Inspired Adolf Hitler, and Lockheed Martin's HALE-D Airship.

Unidentified Aerial Phenomena sightings were reported over California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Georgia, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont, and Wisconsin. Sightings of UFOs were also reported in Canada, Dominican Republic, Norway, Slovenia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

    SIGHTINGS INCREASE WORLDWIDE

National UFO Reporting Center 643 in July 'Freaked out' BBC reporter Mike Sewell tells millions of radio listeners of the moment he faced a UFO

Unidentified: Sports journalist Mike Sewell says he saw a disc-shaped craft hovering over a Hertfordshire village Timothy Good sent this article about a Disc-shaped' aircraft that hovered over village in Hertfordshire dated August 4, 2011.

Radio 5 Live broadcasts journalist's claims to millions. It's a radio station known for irreverent chat, where current affairs and topical discussion reign supreme. But Radio 5 Live took on a more otherworldly tone this morning when one of its own sports reporters claimed he had a close brush with a UFO. 'Freaked out' sports journalist Mike Sewell said he was left gob smacked when he spotted a huge 'disc-shaped' aircraft hovering above the Hertfordshire countryside on his way to work in the early hours of the morning.

BBC Sports journalist Mike Sewell says he saw a disc-shaped craft hovering over a Hertfordshire village.

Mr Sewell was driving from his home in the Midlands to catch an early morning flight from Stansted airport when he saw the UFO in the night sky over the village of Cottered, near Buntingford, he claimed. He called his employers at Radio 5 Live and his interview with presenter Nicky Campbell was broadcast to millions of listeners. He said: 'I was probably about 15 or 20 miles from Stansted at 4.15 AM, there was this big bright light in the sky descending towards the road. 'As it got closer it then banked to the left, and as it banked to the left and went across the countryside I could see underneath it. 'It wasn't an aeroplane, and it wasn't a helicopter. Certainly of a kind of - and I dread saying this - disc shape. It had several lights flashing all around it.

The extraordinary revelations were broadcast on Nicky Campbell's show (pictured left)

Lights, 'Underneath there were at least two large panel lights, soft white and then it just sat or circled a certain area above the field for a few moments. 'I was so gob smacked; I was trying to negotiate the road, which was a small country lane. Eventually I dropped down and lost sight of it but certainly for two or three minutes I saw what, I think, was not a normal aeroplane.'

The well-respected reporter, who was flying to Sweden said, "A van driver in front of him also saw the UFO. He added: 'I'd love the person who was driving in front of me in what looked like a VW silver transporter to contact the police or yourselves [the radio station] because they saw it as well. 'I was wide awake and I'm of sound mind. I was completely freaked out by it. This was a long way from Stanstead airport - and the aircraft was going westerly rather than easterly towards Stansted. 'It was not the shape of a normal aircraft it was a big disc, round-shaped craft and it didn't leave. 'I watched it for two or three minutes before I eventually lost sight of it. I decided to go back again through the village. It's a very quiet area and I've spoken to someone who knows it very well and they said there's no military installations in that area so I would be intrigued to hear if anybody else saw it.'

UFO expert Timothy Good (pictured) said, "Mr Sewell's sighting was 'absolutely fascinating' and was 'clearly not a conventional aircraft of any type'. During the interview on Radio 5 Live, which followed his sports report, he added: 'I'm most impressed, I wish I'd seen it myself. I would assume that a number of other people would have seen this object. 'It might be extra terrestrial; it might well be one of ours. Top secret aircraft and spacecraft have been flown by the U.S. military and by the British military for quite some time now.

'As Ben Rich said, who developed the stealth aircraft back in 1993 in the presence of two friends of mine: "We now have the technology to go to the stars". And that was back in 1993.' When Mr Good was asked to elaborate on where this technology came from, he replied: 'Alien crafts. The studies of alien crafts that have been recovered and by liaising with actual aliens who have helped us develop this technology. 'Thanks to Timothy Good and Daily Mail Reporter.

Mysterious UFO-like Object Spotted on Baltic Sea Floor

Amanda Kooser Crave writes, "Sometimes it's hard to remember just where you parked your UFO. Paging Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, we need you at the Baltic Sea as soon as possible. In what sounds like an opening for the next X-Files movie, an ocean salvage exploration company found an object on the floor of the Baltic Sea that looks an awful lot like a UFO. The sonar images are vague at best, but the object still bears an uncanny resemblance to the outline of the Millennium Falcon.

The images come courtesy of the Ocean Explorer team, an experienced group of Swedish salvagers that already raised an impressive collection of rare and very expensive champagne from the watery depths. Expedition leader Peter Lindberg notes that the mystery object is 60 meters across. Lines in the ocean floor next to it almost look like a skidded landing area. Chances are that the discovery has a much less titillating explanation than coming from another planet. It could be a sunken vessel or a flooded archeological site. There will be no answers until the team goes in for a closer look.

The Ocean Explorer team, an experienced group of Swedish salvagers, plans to revisit the area where the object was discovered.

Flowing Water and a Little Face on Mars

A new discovery of potential liquid water on Mars within Newton Crater last week is making waves in the science world. This is more evidence for liquid water, as opposed to ice, and it's on the Martian surface, as opposed to miles underground where it would be difficult to verify its presence. Summer temperatures can reach above 80 degrees at the surface. The research is based on observations by NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, which observed seasonal changes in slopes carved into the planet's surface that appear most likely to have been formed by flowing water. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin Apollo 11 Communion Kit

Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first men to walk on the Moon in the Apollo 11 space mission. Michael Collins third member of the group was in charge of the Command and Service Module, essential for their return to Earth, which circled the Moon while Armstrong and Aldrin landed. The Moon lander touched down at 3:17 Eastern Standard Time, Sunday, July 20, 1969. Aldrin had brought with him a tiny, given him by his church that had a silver chalice and wine vial about the size of the tip of his finger. During the morning he radioed, "Houston, this is Eagle. This is the LM pilot speaking. I would like to request a few moments of silence. I would like to invite each person listening in, whoever or wherever he may be, to contemplate for a moment the events of the last few hours, and to give thanks in his own individual way."

"In the radio blackout," he wrote later, "I opened the little plastic packages which contained the bread and the wine. I poured the wine into the chalice our church had given me. In the one-sixth gravity of the moon, the wine slowly curled and gracefully came up the side of the cup. Then I read the Scripture, 'I am the vine, you are the branches. Whosoever abides in me will bring forth much fruit.' I had intended to read my communion passage back to Earth, but at the last minute Deke Slayton had requested that I not do this. NASA was already embroiled in a legal battle with Madelyn Murray O'Hare, the celebrated opponent of religion, over the Apollo 8 crew reading from Genesis while orbiting the Moon at Christmas. I agreed reluctantly..." "Eagle's metal body creaked. I ate the tiny Host and swallowed the wine. I gave thanks for the intelligence and spirit that had brought two young pilots to the Sea of Tranquility. It was interesting for me to think: the very first liquid ever poured on the Moon, and the very first food eaten there, were the communion elements."

    UFO Cults Inspired Adolf Hitler

When Adolf Hitler spread his message of hatred, genocide, and oppression, as having been "inspired by a blond race of superhuman warriors referred to as "Aryans, it is assumed through historical accounts that this was simply the contrived mythology of a "madman. This same account omit representation that Adolf Hitler was a member of demonic UFO cult worshipping cabals, and was an apparent UFO contactee, by the same Extraterrestrial group which Hitler sought to glorify. "The Nazis themselves claimed that an extraterrestrial society was the source of their ideology and the power behind their organization, LINK. Nazi mysticism, indeed, was reportedly a direct product of cult worship to Manipulative Extraterrestrials. The "Nazis referred to their hidden extraterrestrial masters as underground "supermen. Hitler believed in the "supermen and claimed that he had once met one of them, as did other members of the Thule leadership. LINK

Some reports also allege that Adolf Hitler escaped capture by the U.S. and its Allies with the assistance of Manipulative Extraterrestrials. Indeed historical records affirm that Hitler was never found by the Allies. His suicide was originally concocted to quell mass concern that such an individual could have escaped to pursue another World War. Indeed reports suggest that Nazis were preparing for World War III, before the dust hardly settled with their "temporary setback of World War II defeat.

The Nazis said that their "supermen resided beneath the Earth's surface and were the creators of "the Aryan race. Aryans therefore in Adolf Hitler's reasoning, constituted the world's only "pure race and all other people were viewed as "inferior genetic mutations. The Nazis under the reported guidance of Manipulative Extraterrestrials planned to "re-purify humanity by committing genocide against anyone who was not an Aryan. Top Nazi leaders believed that the underground "supermen would return to the surface of the Earth to rule it as soon as the Nazis began their racial purification program and established the Thousand Year Reich.

These Nazi beliefs are very similar to other religions apparently also guided by Manipulative Extraterrestrials that teach people to prepare for the future return of supernatural beings who will reign over a "Utopian Earth. As in other such religions, the coming of the Nazi "supermen would coincide with a great final "divine judgment. Nazi mysticism indeed earned the support of Christian leaders, who shared what Gnostic referred to as influence by demonic consciousness linked to a "false God. Of the "divine judgment, Hitler had declared in court during his early Nazi days: The [Nazi] army we have formed is growing from day to day. I nourish the proud hope that one day the hour will come when these rough companies will grow into battalions, the battalions to regiments, the regiments to divisions, that the old cockade [ribbon or rosette worn on a hat as a badge] will be taken from the mud, that the old flags will wave again, that there will be a reconciliation at the last great divine judgment which we are prepared to face. ref. http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/

Critical historical accounts have linked Adolf Hitler, and other high ranking Nazis as having communicated with self-anointed "Nordic gods who were a part constituency of Manipulative Extraterrestrials which to Gnostics disciples of Jesus were identified as "demons. This is where the "National Socialist image of the ideal man/woman and the program of eugenics apparently originated. Adolf Hitler was apparently ordered to infiltrate the National Socialist German Workers Party; in order to counter anti-military sentiments of the defeated working class, into a populist movement which in turn would worship the demonic consciousnesses of Manipulative Extraterrestrials.

Though he lost the war, eventually, Manipulative Extraterrestrials apparently communicated with Nazis that "those chosen by Satan will follow with success in establishing a "Fourth Reich. "Four is the number of Satan/Enki. Hitler saw the ideal human in Satan and his demons that are of the extra-terrestrial race that looked like human beings with very tall statures, light blonde hair and blue eyes.

Nazi technology is also alleged to have been disseminated under guidance by Manipulative Extraterrestrials. "the Nazis had everything before any other country; they had radar in 1933, infra-red sensors, V-2 Rockets, discs, etc. If anyone in the world had access to alien' technology it was the Nazis. ref. http://www.dailygrail.com/node/684

In 1952, Dwight D. Eisenhower said: "We have been unable to unearth one bit of tangible evidence of Hitler's death. Snip. An article in November, 1949, says "The Nazis went underground, May 16, 1943! Michael Bar-Zohar in "The Avengers, p. 99, said in 1943, Admiral Doenitz had declared: "The German U-boat fleet is proud to have made an earthly paradise, an impregnable fortress for the Fuhrer, somewhere in the world. He did not say in what part of the world it existed, but fairly obviously it was in South America.

If one accepts the report that Nazi Germany as having been influenced by Manipulative Extraterrestrials, then it is plausible that indoctrinated followers of Manipulative Extraterrestrials may have been granted similar access to such advanced technologies. Such technological access would help Nazis realize their reportedly sought ambitions to seek to reclaim a global conquest in a sought World War III. Thanks to Canadian National News

Sightings of UFOs in the United States

    California Light

San Diego -- My husband, I & some neighbors saw a reddish orange colored light that was roundish on July 27, 2011, at 8:30 PM. It looked like it was going from the south to the north, but it is hard to tell if it was headed upward or not. I took a photo, but it is awful. The photo doesn't look anything like it did seen by the eye. The light was flickering until it disappeared. It didn't look like a flare. The photos are pretty bad, but it is better than nothing. Thanks to William Puckett Director UFOs Northwest http://ufosnw.com

    Florida Three Lights

    ST. Petersburg -- On August 4, 2011
2:40 to 3 AM, I was outside of my friend's house and we were talking about the whole aliens and 2012 theories and what we would do and as I looked up I saw 3 blue lights. They were the brightest that I have ever seen. They hovered then took off in a straight path and disappeared. I have never seen anything like it. I felt fear overcome me that I have never felt before. Thanks to William Puckett Director UFOs Northwest http://ufosnw.com

    Florida Orange Light

Daytona Beach -- I was sitting on the shore of the ocean on July 24, 2011, at 3 AM, and got a creepy feeling about sharks and stuff at night. I was with my sister Rachel, her friend Kenley, and Jess when a huge roach ran over Rachel's legs. We were all laughing when I looked out over the ocean and noticed a bright orange light. I thought it was a boat that was coming closer to shore. It slowly moved across the ocean and lined up straight with us. It wasn't bobbing so it would have to have been a massive boat. It seemed to get brighter and started getting bigger and almost looked like the moon. It was crescent shaped and had another piece right above it and something was in front of it. I wasn't picking it up on my camera. It sat in front of us for quite some time before it started to lift in the air very slowly and started shrinking rapidly and ended up the size of a star. Then in the blink of an eye it shot up. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Georgia Triangular Light Followed by Red Ball

Atlanta -- My friend and I were sitting outside stargazing when something captured our eyes at 8:30 PM on July 28, 2011. We saw a bright orange light coming towards us traveling much faster than any jet plane. We knew it was not an aircraft as the object passed right above us and had a triangle shape. We could see a large orange triangle shaped light in the center and three blue lights moving in a circular motion around the triangle light. We felt it was watching us.

This object was the brightest object we had ever seen. The object hovered for a minute or so and disappeared within the blink of an eye. Thirty seconds after this craft disappeared an enormous solid red ball of light passed by on the same path. Both objects were silent and flew 500 feet above us. Thanks to MUFON CMS

    Illinois -- Four Orange Circles

Cary -- On July 30, 2011, four orange circles were floating in a straight line making no noise at 9:45 PM. After a minute one of the objects faded away and the other three formed a triangle. These slowly faded away as if they turned. Several cars stopped and viewed the objects. I have a photo taken from my Motorola Droid phone of two of the four objects. Note: A similar sighting and photo was taken in Frankfort, Illinois on the same night. It is not clear from the photo what lights are the "unknown lights." Thanks to William Puckett Director UFOs Northwest http://ufosnw.com

    Iowa Fast Star

Hiawatha --At 11 PM, on July 30, 2011, I noticed a star-like object moving at a high rate of speed form horizon to horizon. It was smaller than a star but appeared to be traveling ten times faster than a satellite. The object was up very high in space. Thanks to MUFON CMS

    Kentucky Red Light

Louisville -- I was sitting in the car with one of my friends at around 3:45 am on July 27, 2011, and saw a red light coming up from behind the trees in my yard. It was a round light hovering and moving toward us and we watched it as it dropped something little? Then it started moving again and looked like it was shaking, as the lights around it got dim. I got scared and couldn't keep my eyes off of it. As we recorded it would stop, nod, and hover. It partially hid behind a tree and after 15 minutes of watching it maneuver, it turned white and was blinking bigger and brighter as it turned orange and dropped to the ground. It got smaller and was gone. We were scared and want to know what happened. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Massachusetts Light and Orange Flaming Diamond

LOWELL— On July 30, 2011, near midnight, I saw this shaky light in the sky for two hours. It made no sound and just went from left to right and back and changed colors. It put a light on the ground like a helicopter three different times, but this was before I was filming. I am not sure what it is.

Note: The clip shows the "back and forth" movement described by the witness. The light appears as bright red. No sound is heard so a helicopter is an unlikely explanation. Thanks to William Puckett Director UFOs Northwest http://ufosnw.com

    Massachusetts Diamond

Yarmouthport A diamond shaped object was moving slowly and silently over us on July 31, 2011, at 9:45 PM. Two people in a convertible looked up and saw what appeared to be an orange flaming diamond shaped object moving slowly and silently across the sky. It was flying lower than commercial aircraft. We watched for several minutes until it left our view. Then a second one appeared from where the first one came from. Thanks to MUFON CMS

    Nevada Strange Sightings

Pahrump -- My name is DeAnna Brown and I am interested in UFOs. I live about 40 miles from Area 51 and the test site. I lived here as a child in the fifties when they were setting off nuclear bombs that would rattle our windows and produce an ugly pink and gray mushroom cloud that would drift over our community. I experienced some strange sightings with my family, that my father called "mineral lights". These lights would appear in the evenings, on and over the mountain range that was four miles west of our home. The lights moved up and down back and forth like a scanner. There were no roads on the mountains then and there were no vehicles capable of those maneuvers.

I think my father and grandfather gave us the most reasonable explanation they could for this supposedly natural phenomenon. Minerals reaction to the sun's rays, producing roaming lights in the cooler evenings. I accepted this explanation for several years until I tried to explain it to other adults and no one had ever heard of mineral lights. If it was a natural reaction, why doesn't it happen now? Then I read Chariots of the Gods and books about Roswell and really became curious and had a deep need for answers. I am 70 years old and still have the desire to know all I can about UFOs, lost civilizations, the pyramids and how it all relates and how it has affected our lives and progress. I probably won't live long enough to know all I want to know, but it won't be because I didn't try. Please send your weekly reports. Thanks to DeAnna Brown

    New Hampshire Oval

Troy -- On July 30, 2011, we were sitting at a campfire at 9:18 pm, when we saw a silent object moving at a rate similar to the ISS. It had a greenish tint and was heading northward. When it was overhead, it suddenly flared a 100 times brighter in intensity. The flare reminded me of a cat's eye. Then it faded as it continued north and disappeared.

(NUFORC Note: Possible flare from an "Iridium" satellite, although such a flare lasts for only a few seconds, and they are white, not green.) Thanks to Peter Davenport, Director National UFO Reporting Center

    New Jersey Triangle

Lakehurst -- I'm a UH-60 pilot for the New Jersey Army National Guard and on the August 2, 2011, about 10 AM, I saw something streak across the night sky that I cannot explain. There were two pilots flying in the front, one crew chief in the right door gunner position and I was sitting at the left door gunner position. The aircraft was facing east. Our crew chief saw a bright flash of light that dimmed his night vision goggles on the horizon toward the south. At the same time I saw a lighted object pass over from the right to the left side of the aircraft at about 20 to 30 thousand feet level.

The object was rectangle in shape with squared off corners and was fully lit. It streaked across the sky in two seconds. Much slower then shooting star but much faster then a jetliner. It faded off just short of the horizon toward the north due to low cloud coverage that was at five thousand feet. Since I was under night vision goggles I saw no vapor trail. This looked nothing like any shooting start I had ever seen. A shooting star is usually just a single pin point of light, streaks across the sky. This object looked like a paper half gallon milk carton that was completely lit. Thanks to MUFON CMS

ROOSEVELT --I was coming home on June 22, 2011, on Cedarville Road heading for my road and saw a light through the trees in the eastern skies. I thought it was the moon. Then I see a gigantic flying low craft with four lights across in a row about the size of half a football field. The two in the middle were very bright like headlights, but the light was much diffused. The huge craft was moving NW incredibly slower than any plane making a low hum. It was like a cruise liner in the sky with a blinking red light on the bottom. I sped home as I was terrified by this huge craft and felt hot all over. I woke my Mom up; who is a scientist but it was gone. A similar craft was over the turnpike earlier. The above image is a rendering. This case is under investigation by Ken Pfeifer MUFON New Jersey www.worldufophotos.org

    New Mexico UFO Landing

BERNALILLO -- My girl friend and I were parked on a mesa looking at the Sandia Mountains on September 10, 1997. We noticed some very strange lights at the base of the mountains that were moving right then left, up, and down. We sat there for a couple of hours just watching. I then decided to drive to the base of the mountains as the sun was coming up. We drove through the streets in that area and noticed that parts of the streets looked like they had been melted and the shrubs on the side of the streets were smashed down in a circler shape.

The green city electrical boxes you see on the side of streets were blown apart but had no sign of a fire or explosion. As we were driving we noticed every 5 or 6 houses people were packing their cars with luggage and seemed to be very worried. So at 2 AM, we drove back and parked at the base of the mountains. Within ten minutes, little orbs of light would blink on and off throughout the fields near us. There was an energy that made me feel alive causing my hair to stick straight up. I visited the mountains every night for several weeks and saw the same thing. Government vans would be parked at the top of my street and the local news stated, "If you see anything weird in the sky the military is testing weather balloons.

    Ohio Triangle

Sidney -- I saw this 21 engine triangle at about 1000 feet altitude with no sound at all. About 11:39 PM, on July 26, 2011, a triangle traveled over my house at about 500 mph, I had 15 seconds of view time, and my son had about eight seconds of view time. We saw the craft so well we could identify a single power source attached to the three cylindrical housings containing seven vents for directional propulsion venting blue flames or blue heat giving the appearance of three lights. It was possibly a plasma engine? However, I have no explanation how something of such mass could maintain current speed, altitude and silence. Thanks to MUFON CMS

    Oregon Light

BANKS -- I walked outside with my wife to smoke a cigarette and looked up at the stars. I noticed in the SW sky towards the coast range a light similar to a satellite and pointed it out to my wife. It was brighter, faster than a satellite and appeared closer. It traveled NW, appearing to follow the earth's curvature. After it passed the Big Dipper it paused and got brighter, almost as if it pointed its light towards us. Similar to someone pointing a flashlight towards you. The pause was only for a second and then it appeared to fly away. It flew away in the distance straight up, as if it went into space, faded, and then disappeared. Thanks to MU FON CMS

Pennsylvania Blinking Balls and UFO hovers 20 feet off Ground

West Chester -- My fianc and I were outside our apartment on July 30, 2011, and there were hundreds of blinking balls of light under a cloudy sky. One very big and very bright ball of light hovered, so we took pictures and were absolutely fascinated by what we had seen. There's no doubt in my mind it is a UFO! Thanks to MUFON CMS

Oaks -- A witness was driving along Route 422 east between Trooper and Oaks on August 5, 2011, and reports observing an object hovering 20 feet off of the ground with three white lights. Thanks to MUFON CMS

    Texas Disc

Corpus Christi -- I was canoeing down the river on July 31, 2011, at 7 PM, and saw something in the sky that I had never seen before. It was a white disk shaped a little bigger than an airplane, like a fat disk, not a thin one. It was moving slowly and not always in a straight line for a few minutes. It was kind of moving all around slowly. I tried to take a picture of it, but it looks smaller in the picture for some reason. It started backing away and flew off so fast I could barely catch it with my eyes. I am very confused as to what this was.

Note: The photo isn't compelling by itself, but combined with the witness report lends some report to the sighting which was quite unusual. Thanks to William Puckett Director UFOs Northwest http://ufosnw.com

    Vermont Cigar

Johnson -- On July 30, 2011, at 8:45 PM, I was on a hill where reindeer lived on and there were no clouds in the sky. I saw a white line that looked like a plane but I couldn't tell. And then i went around the hill and suddenly it was gone. I saw it once before i went around the hill and when i got on the other side it was gone. Thanks to Peter Davenport, Director National UFO Reporting Center http://www.UFOcenter.com/

    Wisconsin Triangle

Suring -- On July 31, 2011, at 8:10 PM, my cousins and I were driving down the road and we noticed something in the distance. At first we thought it was a jet or plane, but it was going straight up like a space shuttle. Then it curved up over us when it got close to the highest clouds. It was giving off an orange glow. Then it started to come straight down towards us. I thought we were getting bombed, but it stopped when it got right over us close and it flew over us.

We tried slowing down but it slowed down with us, and then sped up as we sped up. It kept speed with us and followed the car. It came from the northeast, then flew over head and then disappeared. It was darkish orange in the middle and glowed lighter orange. I can't sleep at night now. Thanks to William Puckett Director UFOs Northwest http://ufosnw.com

    Worldwide UFO Sightings

    Canada Lights

Fort Mcmurray, Alberta -- My boyfriend and I went out for a smoke on the balcony around 12:19 am, on July 27, 2011. My boyfriend was looking up at the night's sky and pointed out this unknown object. At first we thought it was a satellite, but noticed three flashing white lights really close together. A red light was also flashing in the center. We thought it could have been a plane but the movement of the object was strange. It would move slowly diagonally and hover, and then move back before repeating this movement several times.

That's when we decided to go and grab the camera and snap some photos. It was hard to take a picture since half the time it wouldn't appear on the camera. Our roommate came home and he said, "I know it's not a plane because of the positions of the lights and isn't a satellite because of the red flashing light.

Later we zoomed the pictures on the PC and a green light not seen was located above the red light. We went back out to see if it was still there. Luckily, it was and we took a few more pictures zooming in on the green light. Thanks to Peter Davenport, Director National UFO Reporting Center

Dominican Republic Strange Green Circles and Horses

San Jose de Ocoa -- On July 15, 2011, about 7:45 PM, I saw a light that seemed like lightning. That is, bottom-up coming back and from above to the earth. I thought it was the effect of my exhaustion and I retired to bed. The next morning I noticed my horses did not come to greet me as usual. I sent a child, then a farm worker to look for my horses, but they were gone. I went out looking for my seven horses, but they were not found. I called the radio station to transmit a message that if someone saw my horses to get in touch with me. It was 12:30 PM, when I alerted the community and the authorities of this region on radio. Half an hour later the horses came out of a hill where there was no opening in the fence. The horses came together at high speed running.

I sent a worker to examine the fence but there were no broken wires or clearance hole in the fence. Where they appeared we noted a big dark green circle on the grass. This circle is about ten meters in diameter formed by a line of dark green grass and grass about two and a half foot wide. It was a well-defined line and an almost perfect circle. The strangest thing is that herbs on the edge of the circle are half dark green leaves and leaving the green circle is a different color. The leaves and branches on one side were one color and a different color on the other side. Even after 15 days the circle is clearly seen. I have informed the authorities of the National Botanical Center. Thanks to Peter Davenport, Director National UFO Reporting Center http://www.UFOcenter.com/

Bivje -- Around 15 objects were flying around Bivje near Koper (Slovenia) on July 23, 2011 at 2 AM. They were moving in all directions, one of them maybe landed on the ground.
After one minute they disappeared. Thanks to Peter Davenport, Director National UFO Reporting Center http://www.UFOcenter.com/

    South Africa Light

Pretoria -- The light was dimming and brightening four times and then disappeared. On Wednesday July 27, 2011, at 5:40 PM, while driving home from work I saw a bright light. At first I thought that it was the sunlight reflecting from an airplane. Then I noticed that the light was slowly dimming and brightening. I asked the passenger to look at the object and tell me what it was, "Her reply was that it did not look or move like any conventional aircraft. We both watched the light dimming and brightening another three times and then it just disappeared. This area also has a high concentration of conventional and commercial aircraft activity, but what we saw was not any of these.
It was difficult to estimate the distance and height as I was driving down a steep downhill road. Thanks to Peter Davenport, Director National UFO Reporting Center http://www.UFOcenter.com/

    UK/England UFO Sighted

RAF Northolt -- This was witnessed by me and my partner Karen in Ruislip, NW London. On August 1, 2011, at 7:15 pm, we saw a Learjet coming in to Northolt RAF Base and behind it in the same flight path was a very unusual looking object. To me it looked like a diamond shape which was rolling along at great speed and to Karen it was round in shape and metallic. It was quite low and I tried to take pictures. I downloaded the pictures to my PC and it's most likely a diamond. Karen's parents live closer than us to the air base and her Father said, "There had been things going on there all day with sirens going off, helicopters up and about etc..

CAMBRIDGE RESEARCH LABORATORIES  (A.F.C.R.L.) en van A.F.O.S.R..

gevallen, waar zelfs hogervermelde procedure moeilijkheden

    spel gezet was...

I.C.A.P. bekend waren.

    “INTELLIGENT GECONTROLEERDE (=bestuurd!), BUITENAARDSE
