UFO Sightings in the United States
Sightings are from MUFON CMS
Arizona Light
Glendale – on June 7, 2021, after photographing a saucer UFOs ever since the middle of January 2021, I photographed this crazy spectacle in the skies of Phoenix Arizona today, June 7th, 2021. My conspiracy theory is that it’s either a crash in midair or in space, of something big, or there are UFO’s coming out of this explosion, which is all I can say to describe it, or a crack in the sky.
Glendale – on June 14, 2021, strange object that reminded me of the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars darting around while moving North. This is nothing like other, recent UFO sightings I have witnessed. There is an “appendage” sticking out from the craft that has a wild, jumpy, jagged path as it was moving North
California Objects
San Diego – on June 14, 2021, there were 5 black objects flying together just after sunset. Directly office shore in Pacific beach. A crowd of people were standing around watching a man blow giant bubbles. I saw the objects. My friend and I photographed them then they disintegrated
Colorado Lights
Denver— on June 3, 2021, Star Cruiser #485 A high quality digital still photograph shot in Jpeg and Raw file. at 8:35 p.m. MST. 06/03/21
Florida Lights
Boynton Beach –on June 12, 2021, witnessed multiple sightings unexplainable by light fragmentation. Sudden appearance followed by disappearance all out west towards the Everglades. Utilizing abnormal cloud, rain, and lightening coverage. I have a very steady hand as noted in stability from bottom of clips and the rigid sudden movements is that of the ships.
Illinois Lights
Chicago – August 15, 2015, my husband and I were at the lakefront in Chicago on a Wednesday night in the air and water show was to happen that weekend so there were jets and the like practicing during the daytime. we were crossing the street to go to Buckingham fountains when we saw this object in the sky over the water. It was ridiculously hard to distinguished what it was, and we had no visible sound coming from it. no one else in the area seem to think it was anything or even notice it. The more times I’ve shown the video to people no one can tell me what it is.
Massachusetts Light
Sandwich – on June 13, 2021, it was a beautiful afternoon, so my wife and I sat on our back deck and enjoyed the clear sky. I commented that there were no planes at all flying around. Then I noticed an object that was reflecting the sun. It wasn’t moving very much, just sort of hovering almost directly above us, perhaps 5-10 degrees lower. It had no flight path and moved from left to right. It would be visible one moment, then it would seem to disappear. I had just purchased a new zoom camera and I had it with me, so I started filming. I just continued to film until I could see the bright object. I managed to zoom in on it and get a few seconds of clear video. When I put the memory card into my iMac, I was able to see the object much more clearly. It appears to be donut shaped with a hole in the center and with a bright glint of light on top. It almost looked like an engagement ring. I am attaching three videos. The one titled: “First Video” is the first clip I shot. It is unedited.
New Jersey Light’
Bellmawr– on June-20. 2021, the object in the sky seemed to be rotating spinning very quickly. The lights surrounding it would go from white to red to green and back to white. When observed thru high powered binoculars it seemed to move like a worm, then do something like cursive writing across the sky. Its movements were fast and seemingly sporadic. Could not follow any type of pattern as its movements were varied and too quick to follow visually.
Texas Object
Houston– on Sunday evening, June 13th, 2021, 6:30 pm, I was in the backyard admiring the sky and took a picture of the beautiful rays coming from the sun. I looked at the picture the next day and noticed an odd shape and zoomed in and saw what looks like a UFO. I don’t recall hearing a sound and didn’t notice anything in the sky.
Worldwide UFO Sightings
Australia Lights
Christie Downs– on June 4, 2021, I don’t know what’s happening in the sky above Adelaide now. but once again I witnessed something strange in the sky. this time I saw three-disc shaped objects travelling west to east at speed. I was lucky enough to get a photo of the objects before they disappeared.
Canada Lights
Taylor Lake, British Columbia – on February 28, 2021, my sighting was in Taylor Lake at 6:00 PM. What I saw is exactly what my picture shows. I am looking forward to hearing back from you.
Note: The witness captured Lenticular clouds on her photo. These clouds are frequently mistaken for UFO’s. Thanks to Will Pucket/www.ufosnw.com/newsite/
UK/England lights
Kiley— on June 8, 2021, was outside with my friend when he said can you see them lights over there by Pemberley Range. I turned to look and there was a bright white orb keeping in the sky. After about three minutes another white orb smaller than the other seemed to come out of the other orb. This orb then slowly started to move forward then descended below the tree line. After about a minute it then reappeared over the tree line. The smaller orb then flew towards the bigger orb slowly and seemed to go back into the first one. The first orb then started to move in a straight line heading toward Lanelle/Swansea. After it seemed to head over Burry Port it vanished all together. There was no sound, no smoke trail or trails. It stayed bright while it moved. I know that this was not an aircraft as the firing range was closed and there were no aircraft nearby at all.

Astronomers have spotted the largest comet ever recorded coming from the Oort Cloud. And at 20 times the distance between Earth and the Sun (20 astronomical units), beyond Uranus’s orbit, it’s already venting gas.
New observations, taken on June 22nd with the 0.51-meter SkyGems Remote Telescope in Namibia, reveal “clear cometary activity, with a 15-arcsecond coma,” Luca Buzzi reported this morning on the Minor Planet Mailing List.
A BIG COMET
Astronomers discovered the comet, dubbed 2014 UN271, in data collected by the Dark Energy Survey, which recently released data on hundreds of millions of galaxies spread over one-eighth of the sky. Survey computers spent millions of hours automatically searching the entire data set for transient objects moving across the sky. And from 2014 to 2018 one of them was the comet, yielding the orbit reported June 19th in a Minor Planet Electronic Circular.
The orbit immediately drew attention because it showed the comet coming from deep in the Oort Cloud, a group of planetesimals surrounding the Sun at icy distances of about 1,000 to 100,000 a.u. The comet will continue inward almost to the orbit of Saturn before heading back out again. The new observations put it at about magnitude 20, which enables a rough estimate of its diameter of 160 kilometers (100 miles). That puts it at the large end of objects seen from the Oort Cloud, seen as long-period comets by the time they’re visible from Earth. But it’s a lightweight relative to the rest of the solar system, so it could be tossed around by a close encounter with a planet.
That size isn't enough to make it a dwarf planet, but it is the biggest object from the Oort Cloud that we’ve seen so far. It’s ahead of the modern record-holder, Comet Hale-Bopp (C/1995 O1), which was only about 60 kilometers across. The Comet of 1729 (C/1729 P1), may have spanned on the order of 100 km; however, it never came much inside Jupiter's orbit, so observers at the time were limited in what they could see.
THE ORBIT
“The orbit we've got [for 2014 UN271] is actually quite good,” says Bill Gray of Project Pluto. It's based on 37 observations taken over four years with a 4-meter telescope and the Dark Energy Survey’s DECam high-performance camera. From that data, calculations predict that the comet will reach perihelion on January 23, 2031, at 10.95 a.u., just outside the most distant point of Saturn's orbit. Tony Dunn's Orbit Simulator site shows it approaching at an inclination of 95°.
Aphelion, or the farthest point from the Sun, is much more uncertain because the orbit is extremely elongated and the swing around Saturn will alter its orbit, but Gray says the comet will clearly turn around in the Oort Cloud, and it’s definitely not an interstellar object. When the MPEC orbit was updated with Buzzi’s new observations, the comet's most recent aphelion was calculated to be 40,000 a.u. and the prediction for the next one became 55,000 a.u. That means the comet took 1.39 million years to reach its present position from the last aphelion, and will take about 2.2 million years going back to the outer edge of its modified orbit, says amateur astronomer Sam Deen.
Gray sees little likelihood of pre-discovery observations because the comet was a little fainter than magnitude 22 when first spotted, and earlier it would have been even fainter. On the other hand, he says, it’s possible the comet will show up in observations taken since 2018.
New, targeted observations will help constrain the comet’s orbit as well as other key characteristics, including its rotation period, satellites, and composition. The behavior of comets is notoriously difficult to predict, but this one is getting off to a very early start, and many more telescopes will be turned toward it in the coming months and years.
A Newly-Discovered (Almost) Dwarf Planet Will Come Surprisingly Close in 2031
A Newly-Discovered (Almost) Dwarf Planet Will Come Surprisingly Close in 2031
It’s good to remember how little we know about the outer solar system. Humans only really began observing it within the past 100 years, and given the constraints on that observations there are still plenty of things we don’t know about. For example, researchers recently found an object almost the size of a dwarf planet that is inbound to the inner solar system, with an estimated orbital period of over 2 million years, more than six the lifetime of the modern human species.
The object, known as 2014 UN271 (Bernardinelli-Bernstein), was originally observed in 2014 but first noted on June 19th, 2021 by Pedro Bernardelli and Gary Bernstein, and now has its own Wikipedia page. The data on the object was collected by the Dark Energy Survey over the course of 4 years, but now new observing platforms are being brought to bear on this novel object.
With those additional observational platforms come additional insights. Right now, 2014 UN271 is expected to reach its perihelion just outside the orbit of Saturn before returning to the depths of the Oort cloud for another spin around the sun. Its size is estimated to be between 100 and 370 km wide, making it possibly the biggest Oort cloud object ever observed.
Having already passed Neptune’s orbit, 2014 UN271 is well on its journey into the inner solar system. As it draws closer to the sun, astronomers expect it to get the coma and tail characteristic of comets, as its surface starts to evaporate in the heat. Unfortunately, it likely won’t be bright enough to present a spectacular display like other well known comets.
But it will be closely observed now that its presence is more widely known. There is already talk of potentially sending a mission to rendezvous with it when it reaches its perihelion point in 2031. Whatever resources are eventually brought to bear on it, its mere existence will serve as an important reminder of how little we know about what’s out there.
Could Life Exist in the Atmosphere of a sub-Neptune Planet?
Could Life Exist in the Atmosphere of a sub-Neptune Planet?
Earth is perfectly suited for organic life. It stands to reason then that similar worlds orbiting distant stars might also be rich with life. But proving it will be a challenge. One of the better ways to discover extraterrestrial life will be to study the atmospheres of inhabited exoplanets, but Earth is fairly small for a planet and has a thin atmosphere compared to larger worlds. It will be much easier to study the atmospheres of gas planets, but could such worlds harbor life? A new paper in Universe argues it could.
Exobiologists have long argued that we shouldn’t assume all life in the universe will be on planets similar to Earth. The subsurface oceans of Enceladus and Ganymede could support terrestrial life and Titan has a rich methane chemistry that might support exotic life. But most ideas about life require three main ingredients: energy, water, and a surface.
The first two are pretty obvious. Life needs some kind of energy source to survive, whether it be solar or geothermal, and water is the perfect solution to allow complex molecules to interact. But the requirement of a surface is more subtle. It isn’t needed for life to survive, since lots of organisms can spend their entire life in water or air. Instead, it seems to be necessary for life to arise. Surface chemistry is incredibly good at creating large organic molecules, even in space. It likely takes a rocky surface to create the building blocks of life.
This new paper argues that while surface chemistry might be needed for life to arise in a planetary system, it isn’t needed for life to thrive. The work focuses on warm sub-Neptune worlds. These planets are about 8 – 10 times more massive than Earth and are likely small gas planets with a thick atmosphere but no terrestrial surface. Several of these worlds have been found in the potentially habitable zone of their star, such as K2-18b, which closely orbits a red dwarf star.
The team shows that warm sub-Neptunes such as K2-18b likely have plenty of water and organic molecules needed to create a habitable zone within their atmosphere. And being smaller gas worlds, it is likely that the habitable layer is fairly stable, allowing for any life to remain aloft long enough to reproduce before sinking to the hostile depths below. Similar arguments have been made for the potentially habitable layer of Venus’s atmosphere. But unlike Venus, K2-18b isn’t likely to have a surface. So even though life might survive on a sub-Neptune world, how would it get there?
Here the team argues that asteroids might come to the rescue. If an exoplanetary system has an unstable asteroid belt, meteorite impacts with the sub-Neptune planet and smaller terrestrial worlds would both be common. This cross-pollination could bring life to a gassy world.
Because sub-Neptunes are fairly common and have thick atmospheres, they will be among the first planets we study for signs of life. While the odds of finding life on these worlds might be a bit long, it’s worth taking a look just because we can.

UFO Sighted Over Los Angeles, California ( May 24, 2021 )
Transparent UFO Filmed in Los Angeles | UFO FIELD RESEARCH ORGANIZATION
STATEMENT :
This UFO was filmed in Los Angeles on a balcony near the 10 freeway, about 1 mile east of the 405 freeway. The UAP in the video was filmed at 8:12 pm. Not sure what this distance was, but it was so far that I couldn't see it with my naked eye. Found it by panning my Nikon P1000 camera across the sky to see if anything would come into view, was also meditating on letting my hand be guided to finding something that I felt was up there. It mostly moved north while occasionally shifting east. I was trying to stay on it in the sky until I accidentally zoomed out and lost it while trying to grab photos of the Unidentified flying object. It was filmed on May 24th, 2021

Long Description of Sighting Report
At approximately 12:13 am on 06/23/2021 while driving to pick up a customer, I saw a pulsating gold/orange colored round object. What caught my attention was the fact there weren’t any lights as such on an airplane or helicopter would have! I’d seen it fade in and out, and descend at a slow speed. I would immediately get it on film. After watching it for up to a minute and a half it went out and did not seem to reappear!

Entrance To Ancient Pitt Causes Drone To Lose Control And Camera Stop! UFO Sighting News.
Entrance To Ancient Pitt Causes Drone To Lose Control And Camera Stop! UFO Sighting News.
Date of video: Sept 12, 2020
Location of Hole: Barhout Well in Mahra, Yemen
This ancient hole is said to have existed for hundreds and maybe thousands of years. The eyewitness who recorded the video calls the Jin...evil spirits that punish those who come too close. Some aliens species are that way, emotionless so they act as if they don't care, but act on intelligence and logic.
The eyewitness flew an expensive drone camera into the mouth of the pitt and suddenly began to lose control of the craft. He said the drone began swaying back and forth and the controls were becoming weaker and weaker as it went further down. Out of fear of losing the craft all together they pull up...however the camera on the drone froze...giving just a few seconds of video of the bottom. But even after he finished the video, still the camera was on the fritz unable to work. Alien technology often causes our technology to crash and die. For instance a UFO over a car or house might shut it down, turn off the radio or turn off the lights in your house. Alien tech interfered with the drones radio waves and camera causing it to malfunction.
Then he took a microphone and began to lower it into the edge of the pit so that we could hear what he heard come from it. Sounds of water trickling, flowing and birds were evident, but then a crying sound every few seconds and a loud growling also came once in a while. He said the pit often had a bad putrid smell to it, which is a sign demons were within it. Thats also a sign of methane gas...which often comes from living things...like an alien base deep below the ground. I believe that over the last few thousand years, aliens and UFOs have used this hole to exit and enter an underground alien base about 5-6km below the surface. Also, so aliens live in an atmosphere of gasses that would smell putrid to us, but perfect for them.
While everyone on Planet Earth anxiously awaits to see what the Pentagon says about aliens in their highly-anticipated UFO report this month, their previous official comments on the subject are quite confusing and contradictory. And documents obtained by the Post show that it led to a complaint filed with the Department of Defense (DOD) Inspector General accusing the Pentagon of hiding the truth from the American public. Since 2017, seemingly every media outlet has reported the bombshell news that the Pentagon had a secret UFO program for many years. This program was called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). Whistleblower Lue Elizondo claims he was the director of this shadowy program during his time at the DOD. But what the Pentagon has officially said about all this has never been widely reported. Buckle up. Because it’s quite the roller coaster.
Pentagon has no explanation for more than 100 UFO sightings
Pentagon has no explanation for more than 100 UFO sightings
According to the Pentagon’s federal intelligence report, the UFOs seen in recent years by Navy pilots were not secret technology. In addition, he does not rule out that they are alien ships.
The report is the product of a military task force established last year to investigate decades of unexplained aerial sightings in US airspace.
The Defense Department said it wanted to “improve its understanding” of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), also known as UFOs, and determine whether they posed a threat to national security.
The report was ordered as part of an aid package signed by the former US president last year.
Its publication has caused an entire revelation in society because UFO sightings have long been the source of conspiracy theories.
Speculation about the content has been very present in the media before its revelation in Congress on June 25.
What do we know about the report?
Details of the research were first reported Thursday by the New York Times, followed by CNN and the Washington Post.
Those media outlets said they spoke with various government officials about the long-awaited report’s findings.
Officials said that of the more than 120 incidents documented in the past two decades, most were reported by U.S. Navy personnel, while some involved foreign military personnel.
CNN said it spoke to three sources who revealed that the report does not rule out the extraterrestrial activity as a possible explanation in some of these cases.
However, it must also be said that there is no evidence that the aerial phenomena witnessed by Navy pilots in recent years were alien spacecraft.
Citing intelligence officials, CNN said experimental technology from a rival power, such as China or Russia, could explain at least some of the aerial phenomena.
Regardless of the true origin, intelligence officials are concerned about the national security implications of this finding.
NASA will investigate UFOs
Bill Nelson, NASA’s new administrator, has ordered space agency scientists to investigate unidentified flying objects.
The former Florida senator who flew aboard the space shuttle Columbia said there is no evidence yet that aliens have visited Earth, but he doesn’t rule it out either.
“We don’t know if it is extraterrestrial,” Nelson told CNN of the encounters recorded by Navy pilots.
“We do not know if it is an enemy. We do not know if it is an optical phenomenon. We do not believe that it is an optical phenomenon due to the characteristics described by the pilots of the Navy aircraft. And the bottom line is that we want to know. “
NASA press secretary Jackie McGuinness said Nelson has not established an official task force to begin investigating UFOs, but did direct investigators to advance their investigation of the issue.
“This is a really interesting phenomenon and the Americans are clearly interested in it so if scientists want to do research, they should do it,” McGuinness said.
The report is ambiguous and imprecise about the mysterious objects recorded by the Pentagon. But it is still surprising that the possibility that they are of extraterrestrial origin is not ruled out.
And the curious thing of all is that NASA, which has always been skeptical of all sightings, has decided to investigate actively.
For this episode of Keeping it Weird, I'm excited to share a theory I've had for a long time now... that the Walt Disney Company is invested and helping to bring about Disclosure, through its movies, TV shows, and theme park rides.
Agree, disagree? Let me know what you think in the comments!

Three UFO Orbs Sighted Over Cajon Pass & Orb Spotted Over Las Vegas Moments Before Vanishing
Clip one: This was sighted over Cajon Pass a mountain pass in San Bernardino, California. The witness stated the following "We drove down to Huntington Beach around 11:30PM at night and while going down the El Cajon Pass, we noticed spinning orbs at the top of a mountain. The formation the orbs made it seem as it was one ship with lights circling counter clockwise but as we saw it detail, no structure was attached to the orbs, they were suspended as they floated. As they rotated around, one orb would separate from the others by arching up and moving down then disappear, only for another orb to reappear with the ones circling. This of course freaked out everyone in the car, myself included. We were in awe at what we were seeing, yet I had to keep control of my car as we were in the highway and had to make sure we wouldn’t crash but I do consider the first encounter to be twice as amazing as both videos I’ve uploaded.I told my girlfriend and sister if they could pull out there phone to record but were just frozen staring as we drove down. The occurrence left us talking about it for the whole car ride and we’re unable to enjoy the late night outing as my little sister was scared and My girl and I were so excited. As we drove back home to Victorville, we started to approached the Glen Helen area and told my girlfriend to be ready with my phone to record as I had a feeling we would see something else again, as I honestly have had experiences like this before but not so up close and nothing that I could obtain photographical evidence from. Lo and behold, there it was in the recordings posted here clear as day. I am almost certain it was the same group of orbs that we saw on the first occurrence. The first video captures the moment we arrived at the area with camera at hand, but there was actually 4 lights prior to only being 3. One of them just disappeared as my girlfriend starts recording and we are just tripping the hell out that we saw this twice and wouldn’t let the second time go to waste. I told my girlfriend to stop recording when the mountains blocked the view. Within 3-4 seconds while she’s getting ready to record again, the lights are in a very strange formation, with two lights on top with some separation and three lights at the bottom more close together. I saw a red light for about a few milliseconds just zip through the lights on top and they started to fade out, that’s when my girlfriend recorded part two and you start seeing the other ones fade away in the video." Thanks to Mario Garcia, His sister & His girlfriend for allowing me the use of their footage and to view the original footage:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoBr...
Clip Two: This footage the white orbs can be seen flying over the sky above until it reaches the M Resort Spa in Las Vegas where the object makes a full stop and in my opinion it powers up and this is what the color changes where about because as soon it does this it vanishes right before our eyes. the witness states the following "While at the dog park a very bright orb flew over me and vanishes over the M resort." Thanks Orb Rendezvous for allowing me the use of this footage and to view the full, Unedited video
Clip Three: Just a bit of fun and this did cheer me up so i hope you all will have a good old laugh with me when watching this clip... Thanks to The Real Spark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z- A_hRDlTs&ab_channel=TheRealSpark

In recent days, it was reported that the Navy’s UAP Task Force has concluded that no evidence it has examined related to unidentified aerial phenomena points to evidence of extraterrestrial spacecraft, according to a recent New York Times article that cited American intelligence officials who had been briefed on the report’s findings.
Notably, Julian Barnes and NYT Pentagon correspondent Helene Cooper reported that despite finding no conclusive links to alien spacecraft, senior officials said that the task force “still cannot explain the unusual movements that have mystified scientists and the military,” and that many of the unusual aerial objects observed by Navy pilots and other members of the armed forces could not be attributed to technologies currently in use by the United States.
The report does not rule out the possibility that some of the 120 incidents the UAP Task Force examined could be linked to technologies developed by Russia or China, and notably, “could not definitively rule out theories that the phenomena observed by military pilots might be alien spacecraft.”
The idea that some unidentified aerial phenomena might represent a form of exotic technology has been with us for decades, at the very least. Despite the fact that, to date, no conclusive evidence in support of this possibility has surfaced, the current assessments of the UAP Task Force recently conveyed to the New York Times are by no means the first time that the U.S. military has left open the possibility that some phenomena observed by our military could have otherworldly origins.

The controversy surrounding the origin of these objects coincided with the U.S. Air Force’s earliest inquiries into what had been first called “flying saucers,” following a June 1947 sighting of a group of objects flying in formation near Mount Rainier, Washington by pilot Kenneth Arnold.
These sighting reports and the concern that they generated resulted in numerous programs and studies, which began with Projects Sign, Grudge, and Blue Book, in addition to other reports and investigations aimed at assessing whether there was anything to be made of the claims of unidentified flying objects (or UFOs, as Blue Book’s first director Edward Ruppelt dubbed them).
Project Sign began at the end of 1947 and concluded the following year with an “Estimate of the Situation” that determined UFOs could not be attributed to US or Soviet technologies, advising the Pentagon that the objects may be of extraterrestrial origin. This conclusion would appear to be the first time that a branch of the U.S. military has considered whether UFOs might have extraterrestrial origins. However, the explanation was deemed unacceptable, resulting in the end of Project Sign, and the launch of the appropriately named Project Grudge in late 1948. It was dissolved too, like its predecessor, in 1951 making way for Project Blue Book, which would continue for most of the next two decades. During the 1950s and 60s, the USAF gathered countless reports on UFOs, and several notable reports and studies were conducted during this period, which included the famous Project Blue Book Special Report 14. However, the Blue Book era ended with Edward U. Condon’s Colorado University UFO project, which argued that there was no scientific merit to UFO studies (despite being unable to discount every UFO case in the Blue Book files).
“On the basis of present knowledge,” the Condon Committee’s report stated, “the least likely explanation of UFOs is the hypothesis of extraterrestrial visitations by intelligent beings.”
While the Air Force disclosed much of the information that it gathered about UFOs (with a few notable exceptions), it would be decades before the American public would begin to learn to what extent U.S. intelligence agencies like the CIA and the FBI had also taken interest in UFOs, albeit more quietly.
“In the middle 60s… the FBI responded to a simple request for information that the FBI is not and has never been involved with [UFOs],” says Bruce Maccabee, Ph.D., an optical physicist and researcher who spent decades studying UFO reports and appealing to agencies like the FBI and CIA for information on the subject. “Which, of course, is a lie, but as far as they were concerned it didn’t make any difference; they weren’t going to go public saying anything anyway, so that’s a pretty good clue that they’d want to cover it up.”
“As far as the CIA is concerned,” Maccabee says, “the CIA decided to do an investigation of Project Blue Book people, to see how the situation on Flying Saucers was. And this happened just after [Chief Major General John] Samford’s press conference in July of 1952, which is sort of a novel thing to contemplate.”
Government agencies investigating other government agencies, and all in an effort to try and understand what—if anything—to make out of UFOs, is indeed a novel concept.

“CIA closely monitored the Air Force effort, aware of the mounting number of sightings and increasingly concerned that UFOs might pose a potential security threat,” wrote CIA historian Gerald K. Haines in his article “CIA’s role in the study of UFOs, 1947–90: A die‐hard issue,” published in Volume 14 of the CIA’s in-house publication, Intelligence and National Security, Volume 14, 1999. However, Haines’ study also stated that “while Agency concern over UFOs was substantial until the early 1950s, CIA has since paid only limited and peripheral attention to the phenomena.”
What accounts for the waning interest of the intelligence community? As Haines noted in his historical overview, early on it seemed that the CIA’s interest in UFOs had been significant:
“Because of the tense Cold War situation and increased Soviet capabilities, the CIA Study Group saw serious national security concerns in the flying saucer situation. The group believed that the Soviets could use UFO reports to touch off mass hysteria and panic in the United States. The group also believed that the Soviets might use UFO sightings to overload the US air warning system so that it could not distinguish real targets from phantom UFOs. H. Marshall Chadwell, Assistant Director of OSI, added that he considered the problem of such importance that it should be brought to the attention of the National Security Council, in order that a communitywide coordinated effort towards it solution may be initiated.”
This would change, however, notably with the publication of a Robertson Panel study on UFOs assembled by and named after H.P. Robertson, a physicist with the California Institute of Technology in January 1953. “The Robertson panel’s conclusions were strikingly similar to those of the earlier Air Force project reports on SIGN and GRUDGE and to those of the CIA’s own OSI Study Group,” Haines writes. “All investigative groups found that UFO reports indicated no direct threat to national security and no evidence of visits by extraterrestrials.”
Luis Alvarez, one of the Robertson Panel participants

The Robertson Panel’s conclusions decades ago were remarkably similar to the current assessments expected to be delivered by the UAP Task Force in its forthcoming report. They essentially found no evidence of a threat posed by unidentified flying objects, and nothing conclusive that could link them to visits by extraterrestrials. However, such intentionally ambiguous results from studies conducted over the years often do little to satisfy public interest, and function more like a Rorschach test: those who want UFOs to be extraterrestrial visitors see that the possibility hasn’t been ruled out, while skeptics averse to the idea remind them that there is still no good evidence.
There’s nothing new under the sun, or so the saying goes. Hence, rather than making actual progress on the UFO issue, it appears that most of the same old assessments and presumptions that have remained with us for decades about this phenomenon are what endure today. We’re still left wondering, in the end, what they are, and even if they are, with very little advancement in our knowledge about these mystifying appearances of unusual aerial objects throughout time.
Aliens could be watching us. A survey of the star systems within about 325 light years of Earth has found that 1715 of them have been or will be in the right position to spot our planet with the same techniques we use to find exoplanets, and 75 of the closest ones could even detect the radio waves that we constantly send out into the cosmos.
The easiest way to spot a planet outside our solar system is to catch it passing between us and its star, blocking out some of the star’s light. Lisa Kaltenegger at Cornell University in New York and Jackie Faherty at the American Museum of Natural History in New York examined data from the Gaia space telescope on the positions and motions of nearby stars to figure out which of them could find Earth in this way.
They found 1402 stars that are currently in the right position to see Earth pass in front of the sun, plus 313 that were in such a position in the past and 319 that will be someday.
They ran simulations extrapolating the movements of those stars over a period of 10,000 years, and the average time any given member of the sample could see Earth during that span is 6914 years – plenty of time to notice us, if there are inhabitants of those stellar systems with powerful enough telescopes.
Seventy-five of these systems are also close enough to detect the radio waves that we have sent out from Earth in the last 100 years.
The researchers estimate that there could be more than 500 rocky worlds orbiting in the “Goldilocks zone” of those 1715 stars, where life as we know it could be possible. We already know about some of them, a few of which are famous – for example, the TRAPPIST-1 system, which hosts seven Earth-sized planets, will be able to see Earth starting in the year 3663 and ending around the year 6034.
Kaltenegger points out that these exoplanets would be good targets in our search for intelligent life. “These worlds might be worth the trouble of studying further, because we know they can see us,” says Kaltenegger. “Who would have the most incentive to send us a signal? The ones who could have found us.”
It is "reasonable" to conclude that the U.S. government thinks some unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) are not human-made, a Harvard astrophysicist has said.
This week, the U.S. government is expected to release a highly anticipated report into the existence of UAPs—essentially UFOs.
Avi Loeb, Frank B. Baird Jr. Professor of Science at Harvard's Department of Astronomy, believes the existence of UAPs would not have been revealed to the public if their origins were from China or Russia and posed a national security risk, he wrote in an op-ed for Scientific American magazine.
Loeb added: "Hence, it is reasonable to conclude that the U.S. government believes that some of these objects are not human in origin."
The astrophysicist said this suggests two scenarios: That UAPs are natural phenomena; or that they are "extraterrestrial in origin."
The U.S. report will be the product of months of investigation into UAPs after the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee called for an inquiry into them in 2020.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio was acting chair of the Intelligence Committee when the report was given the go-ahead, viewing UAPs as a potential threat.
He told Newsweek in May: "We cannot allow the stigma of UFOs to keep us from seriously investigating these encounters."
In August 2020, the Pentagon set up the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force to look into observations of unknown flying aircraft.
Intelligence officials who have already been briefed on the report's findings have said it is inconclusive about most of the recorded aerial incidents over the years—such as those spotted by air force pilots—but notes they weren't examples of U.S. technology, the New York Times reported earlier in June.
The New York Times also said an unclassified version of the report is expected to be released to Congress by June 25—though it will include a classified annex that would remain off-limits to the public.
The report is not expected to explain all of the mysterious observed characteristics of UAPs, including their acceleration and ability to change direction quickly.
Meanwhile, Loeb has drawn speculative links between UAPs and 'Oumuamua, a mysterious interstellar object that has attracted attention since it was discovered tumbling through the solar system in 2017.
NASA has called 'Oumuamua "unusual" and states that it "appears to be a rocky, cigar-shaped object" up to 400 meters long that is the first confirmed body to visit our solar system from another star.
Writing in Scientific American, Loeb has theorized 'Oumuamua could potentially be "an artificial object on a targeted mission towards the sun" and that its thin, flat shape "could have been that of a receiver" to pick up signals.
He added: "At this time, the possibility that any UAP are extraterrestrial is highly speculative."
They Are Watching Us: Close Encounters Of The Nuclear Kind
They Are Watching Us: Close Encounters Of The Nuclear Kind
By Terry Hansen
Thomas Kuhn, the influential scholar who introduced the concept of paradigm change, wrote that the work of scientists is usually predicated on the assumption that they know what the world is like.
In the end, however, they’re often shown to have been seriously mistaken, though many are never quite able to accept this fact.
The same could be said of historians. The so-called “newspapers of record” faithfully report events as government sources dictate, while turning a blind eye to anyone who fundamentally challenges the official line.
Historians, in turn, base their narratives on these biased accounts, often buttressing their work with selectively released government documents, many carefully contrived for calculated impact.
Historians, like scientists, are too often unable to imagine or accept that they have missed something of enormous significance.
A few, such as Howard Zinn, know that there’s much more to the human story than the officially promulgated version. This is especially true in our national-security state, dominated as it is by institutions with a huge financial stake in carefully managing public perceptions via their extensive array of media contacts.
World War I first put the U.S. on the path toward its current national-security mindset with all the attendant propaganda machinery. The war was a hard sell at first, so journalists were hired to overcome public opposition. But it was during World War II when American society really began shedding its traditional values in pursuit of systemic self-deception.
The War Powers Act forged a lasting alliance between the U.S. military and the news media. In the interests of victory and global dominance, U.S. journalists happily abandoned their traditional ideal of speaking truth to power and went to work for the government censoring the news and drafting official lies.
It was also during World War II that science showed itself capable of delivering a stunning new power that could reduce an entire city to ashes in a single blinding flash.
In the wake of this shocking development, a thick veil of draconian secrecy legislation was drafted to ensure that further disturbing scientific findings would never see publication in the open literature. Science quickly split into two branches: public and private.
Thus, the psychological foundations were laid for a schizoid society that would grow increasingly unable to discern the full extent of its own self-deceptions. Black-budget programs mushroomed and multiplied until it was impossible to know just where our tax dollars were disappearing.
Despite harsh penalties for discussing certain banned truths, not everyone in the sprawling national-security bureaucracy always follows the rules. Some simply grow weary of living with their weighty secrets. Others become disillusioned with the paranoid national-security mindset.
Long-secret documents periodically come to light, either by legislative intent or accident. Others surface through the efforts of independent researchers too bull-headed to swallow the official story and curious about the many pieces that never seem to fit. In the past, the national media organizations with their close ties to official Washington could be counted on to contain any major revelations and faithfully shore up consensus reality.
The Internet has changed all the old rules.
The consensus version of American history, if it mentions them at all, assigns “flying saucers” to the status of a curious national psychosis – a fleeting, post-War psycho-social reaction of no lasting importance, fit only to be scoffed at and quickly forgotten. Those who embrace this view do so out of an ignorance carefully manufactured and sustained by the Pentagon and the CIA over many decades.
In his recent book, Strange Company: Military Encounters with UFOs in World War II, author Keith Chester peels back the still-thick layers of wartime censorship to reveal some astonishing discoveries.
Although newspapers and magazines of the period occasionally made brief reference to mysterious “foo fighters” that combat pilots reported sighting, the full extent of these observations was withheld from the American public.
The truth, as Chester makes clear through his painstaking research, is that these strange phenomena were far more common during the war than the public was allowed to know. Evidently, our global efforts at mutual slaughter were being systematically observed by someone far more technologically advanced.
They may not have liked what they saw.
At the center of Allied efforts to understand these puzzling phenomena was a little-known American physicist turned wartime scientific-intelligence officer, Dr. H.P. Robertson.
Aside from being an accomplished physicist and colleague of such luminaries as Albert Einstein and J. Robert Oppenheimer, Robertson was the main liaison between British and American scientific intelligence. He thus became close friends with the British scientist Dr. Reginald Victor (R.V.) Jones whose technical expertise was focused on devising clever ways to hoodwink Nazi intelligence. (Jones wrote about these exploits after the war in books such as The Wizard War.)
He continued to maintain a professional interest in the techniques of deception and often consulted with the U.S. intelligence community.
Dr. Robertson’s interest in anomalous aerial phenomena may have begun prior to the war. Early 20th century writer Charles Fort had penned a series of popular books summarizing reports of unusual things seen in, or falling from, the sky.
Fort discerned the dim outlines of a larger realm of activity of which humanity was just a small and uncomprehending part.
“I think we are property,” he once reflected.
Scientists had occasionally seen and reported odd flying objects during the 19th and early 20th centuries and sometimes published their observations in the scientific literature including, even, Scientific American.
Scholars and scientific-intelligence experts of the calibre of Robertson and Jones were quite probably aware of this, or at least became so during their war-time efforts to understand what pilots were reporting.
The American public knew little about such things until after the war. With the consequent expiration of the War Powers Act and the gradual re-emergence of a relatively free press, Americans began to learn about phenomena Robertson and Jones had already been pondering for some years.
The number of such news reports astonished the American public and alarmed the U.S. military-intelligence community. According to journalism professor Herbert Strentz, who wrote his doctoral dissertation on UFO-related press coverage, hundreds of thousands, and perhaps a million or more articles about flying saucers appeared in U.S. newspapers between 1947 and 1966.
A full account of this ignored but pivotal aspect of American history is being written by historian Richard Dolan, author of what will likely become a three-part series.
UFOs and the National Security State, Volume One, published in 2000, covers the years from 1941 to 1973. The book has received wide acclaim and has been selling briskly.
Volume Two, which covers the period 1973 to 1991 is due out this spring and is a widely anticipated event.
Many of the more impressive flying-saucer reports originated with commercial airline pilots, many of whom had combat flying experience and were regarded as highly credible observers.
1952, the year America tested its first hydrogen bomb, was a landmark year for flying-saucer sightings. Objects were even seen and photographed over Washington, D.C., sparking a national sensation and provoking a major effort by the Pentagon to explain the sightings away.
As Richard Dolan explains, however, the government was far from complacent about the saucer phenomenon, as early intelligence documents reveal. Edward J. Ruppelt, Head of the Air Force’s Project Blue Book, related some of the reasons for military concern in his 1956 book, The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects.
The flying saucers were displaying concentrated interest in militarily significant installations, especially those related to nuclear weapons.
“UFOs were seen more frequently around areas vital to the defence of the United States,” Ruppelt confessed.
“The Los Alamos-Albuquerque area, Oak Ridge, and White Sands Proving Ground rated high. Port areas, Strategic Air Command bases, and industrial areas ranked next.”
By 1954, military authorities admitted that pilots were reporting between five and ten flying-saucer sightings per night – this at a time when air traffic was a mere trickle of what it has become.
Serious talk of an invasion from outer space was in the air.
By December, President Dwight Eisenhower found it necessary to reassure the American public that, “flying saucers were not invading the earth from outer space.”
The dismissal was published on the front page of the December 16th New York Times.
Behind the scenes, the CIA was preparing to use its extensive resources to reduce the number of flying saucer stories appearing the nation’s newspapers. Following a review of several high-profile stories, a panel chaired by Dr. Robertson recommended that flying saucers be discredited via a covert, mass-media program of “training and debunking.”
Many of the same institutions that had produced wartime propaganda were to be employed. Meanwhile, UFO-research groups were to be monitored because of their potential impact on public opinion.
In my book, The Missing Times, I reported on new evidence that CBS TV was among the CIA’s “media assets” that participated in this covert UFO-debunking program.
In 1966, CBS broadcast UFOs: Friend, Foe or Fantasy, narrated by Walter Cronkite, as part of its “CBS Reports” documentary series.
Cronkite assured his viewers, using false and misleading information, that all UFO reports were due to mistaken perceptions. In short, there was nothing for the public to worry about, he said. A hand-written letter by Robertson Panel member Dr. Thornton Page, discovered in the Smithsonian’s archives by Prof. Michael Swords confirms the CIA’s long-suspected role in the program.
In a 1966 letter, Page related to a CIA associate that he, “helped organize the CBS TV show around the Robertson Panel’s conclusions.”
Was this the only such case?
How likely is it that the Robertson Panel waited 13 years before calling upon one of its media assets to debunk UFOs, only did this once, and somehow managed to get caught red-handed the first and only time? It is far more likely that the CBS program was just one of many such covert propaganda initiatives carried out over the years since the Robertson Panel made its recommendations.
Why would CBS agree to disinform the American public about flying saucers on behalf of the CIA? Part of the answer is that something of tremendous national-security importance was happening in 1966 that the U.S. military did not want widely known.
Flying saucers were visiting the Minuteman missile fields surrounding Great Falls, Montana, home of Malmstrom Air Force Base, as well as other such military installations. In some cases, they hovered right outside launch control facilities while evidently shutting down entire wings of independent, nuclear-tipped missiles. (This activity was reported by Montana newspapers but was ignored by the national news agencies.)
A similar series of contacts occurred in the mid-1970s, once again with extensive regional news coverage.
These events may sound like science fiction but they most certainly are not. Minuteman launch officers (who, it should be emphasized, underwent extensive psychological screening before being put in charge of nuclear weapons) have begun breaking their decades-long silence about these events. Upwards of a hundred first-hand witnesses to such activity have now talked and more are coming forth all the time.
Examples include Air Force Academy graduate Robert Salas, whose launch complex was visited in 1967 by a glowing disk-shaped craft that terrorized topside guards before systematically shutting down his wing of Minuteman missiles. The event was not unique. Even Soviet missile installations were visited.
It is now becoming clear that such “nuclear close encounters” have taken place many times since the U.S. first exploded a nuclear bomb at New Mexico’s Trinity test site in July of 1945. This fact is undoubtedly one of the Cold War era’s biggest secrets.
Author and researcher Robert Hastings has just published an exhaustive summary of such events as related by former military personnel.
His landmark book, UFOs and Nukes, is the product of over three decades of careful research. The extent of UFO activity over nuclear weapons sites is stunning. Helpless guard personnel sometimes set up lawn chairs so they could watch the glowing unidentified intruders as they silently maneuvered over the missile fields.
The book goes a long way toward explaining why UFOs have been such a hot public-relations potato for the U.S. government over the decades. Hastings makes it very clear that someone, from somewhere else, does not like what we humans have been doing with our nuclear toys, and has tried repeatedly to warn us away from such dangerous activities.
If this seems hard to accept by those who consider themselves well informed, it is because very few Americans appreciate how cozy American news organizations have become with the U.S. intelligence bureaucracy. Censorship and propaganda are highly sophisticated and well-funded activities that consume a huge fraction of the CIA’s budget.
The sensitive link between flying saucers and nuclear weapons was very carefully hidden using an array of sophisticated psychological techniques. There is evidence that deception expert Dr. R.V. Jones played a key role in planning such tricks.
As I explain in The Missing Times, there is also evidence that major American news organizations played a central role in the flying saucer deception and are not at all anxious to have this role exposed. Hence, they continue to maintain their silence and ignore the many military UFO witnesses now coming forth.
In the Internet Age, however, this gate-keeping role is becoming increasingly ineffective, as indicated by many public-opinion polls.
Now that these astonishing Cold War secrets are out, one of the most important questions we need to ask is,
Whose interests were really being served by this massive deception campaign?
Were flying saucers a threat to humanity or just to the military-industrial establishment and its costly nuclear arsenal?
Was the Pentagon looking out for our interests or just its own?
Whatever the case, a paradigm of cosmic dimensions has begun to shift and our world will never be the same.
In the face of great institutional resistance, the truth has now emerged for the public to review and contemplate. Few areas of American life will remain unaffected by this.
American history for the past 60-some years will need to be drastically re-written. Academics will be forced to reconsider some of their most cherished assumptions about humanity, its origins, and its role in the larger universe. The credibility of many established corporate and government institutions will be utterly destroyed.
This future is coming, ready or not.

Secret Base built in a crater on Mars
Secret Base built in a crater on Mars
Asecret base built in a crater on the planet Mars? Google Mars shows a 4km width crater on Mars in which a large closed building structure seems to have been built.
Visible are two large rectangular black areas, separated by a rectangular pillar and in front of the structure on the left, another building.
But before we assume it is a secret base, there is also the possibility that the structure is nothing more than a compression artifact caused by digital compression software, giving it a pixelated look.
Though, surrounding craters do not show similar structures which makes it possible that the huge structure in this crater is not a compression artifact but a hangar with two (black) entrances to hold spacecraft.

A Possible Link between ‘Oumuamua and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena
A Possible Link between ‘Oumuamua and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena
If some UAP turn out to be extraterrestrial technology, they could be dropping sensors for a subsequent craft to tune into. What if ‘Oumuamua is such a craft?
A colleague of mine once noted that every morning there is a long line of customers stretching out from a famous Parisian bakery into the street. “I wish someone would wait for my scientific papers with as much anticipation as Parisians eagerly stand by for their baguettes,” he said.
There is one exception to this wish, however. It involves fresh scientific evidence that we are not be the only intelligent species in the cosmos.
Recently, there have been two sources for such evidence.
First, the interstellar object discovered in 2017, ‘Oumuamua, was inferred to have a flat shape and seemed to be pushed away from the sun as if it were a lightsail. This “pancake” was tumbling once every eight hours and originated from the rare state of the local standard of rest—which averages over the motions of all the stars in the vicinity of the sun.
Second, the Pentagon is about to deliver a report to Congress stating that some unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) are real but that their nature is unknown. If UAP originated from China or Russia and were a national security risk, their existence would have never been revealed to the public. Hence, it is reasonable to conclude that the U.S. government believes that some of these objects are not human in origin. This leaves two possibilities: either UAP are natural terrestrial phenomena or they are extraterrestrial in origin. Both possibilities imply something new and interesting that we did not know before. The study of UAP should therefore shift from occupying the talking points of national security administrators and politicians to the arena of science where it is studied by scientists rather than government officials.
Many or even most UAP might be natural phenomena. But even if one of them is extraterrestrial, might there be any possible link to ‘Oumuamua?
The inferred abundance of ‘Oumuamua-like objects is unreasonably large if they’re of purely natural origin. With Amaya Moro-Martín and Ed Turner, I wrote a paper in 2009 calculating the number of interstellar rocks based on what is known about the solar system and assuming that these rocks were ejected from similar planetary systems orbiting other stars. The population of objects required to explain the discovery of ‘Oumuamua exceeds the expected number of interstellar rocks per unit volume by orders of magnitude. In fact, there should be a quadrillion ‘Oumuamua-like objects within the solar system at any given time, if they are distributed on random trajectories with equal probability of moving in all directions.
But the number is reasonable if ‘Oumuamua was an artificial object on a targeted mission towards the sun, aimed to collect data from the habitable region near Earth. One might even wonder whether ‘Oumuamua might have been retrieving data from probes that were already sprinkled on Earth at an earlier time. In such a case, ‘Oumuamua’s thin, flat shape could have been that of a receiver. Hence, ‘Oumuamua was pushed by sunlight not for the purpose of propulsion but as a byproduct of its thin flat shape. A similar push by reflection of sunlight without a cometary tail were the traits of an artificial rocket booster that was identified in 2020 by the same Pan-STARRS telescope that discovered ‘Oumuamua. This artificial object named 2020 SO was not designed to be a solar sail but had thin walls with a large surface-to-mass ratio for a different purpose.
At this time, the possibility that any UAP are extraterrestrial is highly speculative. But if we entertain this possibility for fun, then the tumbling motion of ‘Oumuamua could potentially have been meant to scan signals from all viewing directions. A predecessor to ‘Oumuamua could have been a craft that deposited small probes into the Earth’s atmosphere without being noticed, because it visited before Pan-STARRS started its operations. Along this imaginative line of reasoning, ‘Oumuamua could have arranged to appear as coming from the neutral local standard of rest, which serves as the local “galactic parking lot,” so that its origin would remain unknown.
But rather than simply wonder about possible scenarios, we should collect better scientific data and clarify the nature of UAP. This can be done by deploying state-of-the-art cameras on wide-field telescopes that monitor the sky. The sky is not classified; only government-owned sensors are. By searching for unusual phenomena in the same geographical locations from where the UAP reports came, scientists could clear up the mystery in a transparent analysis of open data.
As noted in my recent book Extraterrestrial, I do not enjoy science fiction stories because the story lines often violate the laws of physics. But we should be open-minded to the possibility that science will one day reveal a reality that was previously considered as fiction.
"Some of this might be a little too shocking for us to handle all at once, so they might instead try to ease us into it a bit", physicist Kevin Knuth said. I believe it would revolutionize and rock our world when proven true. However, what’s true at this point is that the evidence is overwhelming that there is a truly unexplained phenomenon which deserves concentrated scientific examination.
Re the issue of G forces, the late nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman told me in August 2006 that “a trained pilot can perform a tracking task while being accelerated at 14 Gs for 2 Minutes, that is an accel of about 300 mph per sec., would be going 36,000 mph at the end of the 2 minutes. One can stand 30 Gs (0-600 mph) for one second and probably much more for shorter times. Colonel Stapp took 43 Gs for 3/4 of a second when his rocket sled slowed down rapidly from 620 mph to zero... eyeballs were sore. The escape rocket on the Apollo Command module would have provided 13 Gs if the module had to be shoved off the top of the Saturn 5 rocket.”
Physicist Takes A Serious Look At Unidentified Aerial Phenomena

In case you may have missed it, a big news story has been bubbling to the surface. The U.S. Navy confirmed that earlier leaked videos did, in fact, show what they call UAP's or unidentified aerial phenomena. The Pentagon has admitted they've been studying them and recently NASA has announced its own investigation. So it seems as if the government is concerned about the national security threat these phenomena may pose.
Academia has been slow to take up the subject, possibly for fear of ridicule, but even that is changing. Professor Kevin Knuth is an associate professor of physics at the University in Albany. Among other things, he is a former NASA research scientist at the Ames Research Center.
All the reports consist of reliable eyewitness testimony and, more importantly, corroborating radar data. In the Nimitz case, objects were tracked on radar several times, descending from 28,000 feet, which is about five miles up, down to sea level in about 8.7 seconds. How fast is that? Knuth did the math.
"So those accelerations we estimated were on the order of about 5000 G's, which is 5,000 times the acceleration of gravity, which is really crazy. Our fighter jets can really only handle about 13 G's before the wings get ripped off," he said.
At midpoint on the way down, the craft would have been traveling at approximately 35,000 miles per hour through the air and without a sonic boom. Knuth says he's disappointed there has not been more serious study done by scientists.
"For me, it's a little disconcerting." he said. "We've had 70 years, three quarters of a century where we've had these things flying in our airspace. They show up in military bases. They show up over nuclear weapons sites, and virtually nothing is known about them. And I look at this as probably, I think, eventually when we finally learn what these things are — this is going to be one of the greatest intelligence failures in history," said Knuth.
What does Knuth believe is the most likely explanation of these UAP's? He says it might be reasonable to assume they're built by a government or an aerospace company,"...except for a few important points," he said. "One is the accelerations are really anomalous to the point where it's really not clear how the physics would work in that case. So whoever has been making these things would have had to do not just have one technological leapfrog, but it would be multiple technological leapfrogs. And that would be quite surprising."
He added: "And it would be surprising to have a company or a nation who has this technology but doesn't use it. And more importantly, these things have been observed before. People have been able to fly."
There are skeptics. Some say these sightings are actually low tech drones or even balloons launched by adversaries that are fooling the observers. It's clear, though, that the government is concerned. The director of national intelligence has been directed by the Senate Intelligence Committee to work with the Defense Department to produce a report on UAP sightings by June 25.
Knuth said of the upcoming report, "I expect that there probably will be a public component to the report and the classified component to the report, and the public component will probably leave things a bit up in the air, whereas I would hope that the classified version would actually have more information."
Knuth says if the report hints at anything other than worldly technology, information will be slow to be released.
"Some of this might be a little too shocking for us to handle all at once, so they might instead try to ease us into it a bit." he said.
While many people believe crop circles are made by aliens hovering over fields in UFOs, a major complaint of crop circle skeptics is the lack of photos showing aliens, UFOs or any unusual activity during the construction of the mysterious circles. Is it because they’re all made by talented humans with ropes, boards and sometimes the clandestine permission of the farmers themselves? A man in Buckinghamshire, England, doesn’t think so after seeing a huge white dome of light over a neighbor’s field at 1 am – a field which had an unusual crop circle in it the next day. He’s not saying it’s aliens, but …
“It’s the sight of a very strange happening this morning at 1-00 am I was woken up by a very bright light shining on my ceiling? We have had a few shed break ins so I got out of bed and looked out the window to see if anyone or thing had set off a security light ! But there was no noise or anything obvious on my or my neighbours to the back or left hand side , but on the right in the field next to my other neighbours was a giant white dome, 25-30 feet high pure bright white no other marking looked like a giant tube light?”
On his Facebook page, Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, resident Martin Hoult described what he saw recently over a farmer’s field behind his house – a bright dome of light that defied any conventional explanation. He says the farm “is quite away off” so he didn’t think he was seeing security lights. After getting “a drink of water and a pee,” he returned to his bedroom, turned off the light and noticed “the light from outside had gone.” The next morning he happened to meet the farmer and described what he had seen.
no it’s a farmer’s field behind my place ? It’s the sight of a very strange happening this morning at 1-00 am I was woken up by a very bright light shining on my ceiling? W have had a few shed break ins so I got out of bed and looked out the window to see if anyone or thing had set off a security light ! But there was no noise or anything obvious on my or my neighbours to the back or left hand side , but on the right in the field next to my other neighbours was a giant white dome , 25-30 feet high pure bright white no other marking looked like a giant tube light? Thought it might be a tractor with a giant halo light but it was raining and no noise at all ? Thought the farm which is quite away off may have had new security lights ? Looked around for a few minutes went for a drink of water and a pee shut my windows went to bed turned of my light the light from outside had gone ? Next day went to the polls came back bumped into my neighbour mentioned the above went to the field about twenty yards saw these crops pressed down with all the bigger plants still standing up massive crop circle where giant light had been ?? About 60 feet across and maybe 100-150 feet long giant rugby ball ish shape ??
That’s when the neighbor gave Hoult a shock:
“(We) went to the field about twenty yards saw these crops pressed down with all the bigger plants still standing up massive crop circle where giant light had been ?? About 60 feet across and maybe 100-150 feet long giant rugby ball ish shape ??”
In the field where the dome of light had been was a crop circle – more of a crop oval actually. That’s pretty unusual for crop circles – they’re always round like their name. Add that to the bright dome of light and Martin Hoult may have seen the making of a non-human, ET-in-a-UFO crop circle creation. That’s obviously what he was thinking when interviewed by the Bucks Free Press.
“It’s very strange. I can’t say it was a UFO because it wasn’t flying but it was definitely an unidentified object or light.”
But wait … there’s more.
“All the grass is flat but the weeds are standing upright. And the tops of all the trees further down on Mumford’s Lane are burnt.”
A crop circle that’s oval. A crop circle whose crop is smashed down but the weeds are still standing. A crop circle underneath a bright dome of light. A crop circle whose maker may have burned the tops of nearby trees during its creation.
You never see weeds in a crop circle
Does this sound like a UFO-made crop circle?
Unfortunately, while Hoult took photos of the crop circle (see them here), they’re from the ground, not the air, and he didn’t snap any of the bright domed light. Taken in their entirety, these events are challenging to explain by conventional circumstances. We’re forced to wait for it to happen again.
Remember, when you get up to pee, take your phone!
Video: Mystery of crop circle revealed: It was a publicity stunt by tech company
A video which appeared on YouTube appears to show a flashing green light in a field in Salinas Valley, California, where crop circles where later discovered.
