In Depth Analysis Of A Video Showing A Fleet Of UFOs Somewhere Near Honolulu, Hawaii
New UFO images and videos come out almost every day all over the Internet for everyone to interpret. Here’s one that may make you believe, at first glance, that a video captured a fleet of alien orbs, maneuvering oddly somewhere near Honolulu, Hawaii.
Earth & Space News YouTube channel posted a video on October 21, 2015, which shows the UFOs hovering, moving fast, darting back and forth, merging with each other, and blinking in and out in unison.
While the video appears to show an unusual catch of strange lights in the sky, it has been hounded with credibility issues.
First, the exact date and time of the video and the videographer’s identity are not revealed. No information that could help any research about the sighting and the video. Moreover, the video itself has many visual problems.
According to Ben Hansen, ex-lead investigator of “Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files,” of Syfy Channel, the video is a product of computer-generated imagery (CGI).
Hansen points out several reliability issues in different segments of the video. Hansen says that at :26, the orb on the far left of the screen takes a short jog back and forth that didn’t appear it was intended. Hansen stresses that this happens throughout the video. He suggests that this seems to be the “evidence of poor anchoring of the object to a fixed reference point.”
Hansen says that the one responsible for the video does an excellent job of tracking the animation layer over the background, but it could also be filmed off a projected screen to present the impression of zooming in and out with a handheld camera.
Also a former FBI special agent, Hansen says the blinking lights that all go out at the same time could be an indication of laziness in editing because it is much easier to turn off the entire animation layer than adjust each light to fade in and out individually.
Another problem that Hansen points out is the awkward interactions between some clouds and the orbs.
They had some troubles with clouds and rotoscoping (making the software determine what objects to treat as separate layers). At 4:50, an orb is moving upward through the cloud. Then, it disappears through the edge of it as if it was behind the cloud. But, it then travels straight down, and now it’s on top of the cloud. They either forgot it was supposed to move behind it, or they just got lazy and didn’t think it would be noticed, according to Hansen.
After a closer look, there’s another visual problem with the clouds. At around the 6:20 mark, as the horizon occasionally bounces up and down from camera movement, the clouds above it remain in the same spot. Typically, they should also bounce.
Another issue about the video is that it is similar to the one posted by YouTube channel Finding UFO on March 14, 2013. Both channels offered the same video more than two years apart, and both of these channels did not provide any necessary information about its origin.
This is a shocking eyewitness testimony from a retired U.S. Air Force colonel and former fighter jet pilot who says that he chased a UFO across West Texas and watched it crash along the Rio Grande River near Del Rio, Texas. Robert Willingham was flying an F-86 fighter jet across West Texas when he saw an object “as bright as a star” streak past him and then execute a 90-degree turn going 2,000 miles per hour. Giving chase in his jet, the decorated World War II and Korean War veteran watched in awe as the object suddenly plummeted to Earth near Del Rio, Texas. Soon after, he visited the crash site and saw a large, silver UFO, “sticking into the side of a hill.”Nothing could have prepared him for what happened next, as his life was about to change forever.
“Rarely do you have such a highly credible eyewitness to an event of this magnitude come forward with information that is guarded so closely by various intelligence agencies.”Willingham, who lives near Wichita Falls, was one of America’s earliest jet aviators, during the time when the military was transitioning away from propeller-driven planes. It was also a time when UFO sightings had become commonplace throughout the United States, especially in and around top-secret military bases. “He was flying as part of a group of F-86 fighter jets that were escorting a B-47 bomber across West Texas,” said Noe Torres, a lecturer, researcher, and member of the MUFON chapter in Texas. “It was a Cold War simulation designed to follow the route that bombers would take to reach Russia in the event of a nuclear war.”
A radio message warned Willingham and the others about a fast-moving UFO that was approaching Texas from the northwestern U.S. “Suddenly it came into their view, looking like an intensely bright light – like a bright star seen through a telescope,” Torres said. “It blazed across the sky past them, and everyone in all the planes saw it. But, because of the location of Willingham’s jet, he was in the best position to see what happened after the object flew by.” Willingham estimated that the object was traveling at 2,000 miles per hour, and he saw it make a sudden 90-degree turn, without slowing down. As the UFO streaked toward the Texas-Mexico border, Willingham received permission to break from the formation and pursue the object in his F-86 fighter. Following the object’s vapor trail, Willingham followed it down to near Del Rio, Texas, where he saw it suddenly begin to wobble and descend rapidly. As the pilot watched in stunned silence, the UFO plunged toward the Rio Grande River, plowing into the ground just south of Langtry, Texas and digging out a 300-yard long furrow before finally coming to rest alongside a sandy hill. Uriarte said, “Willingham had heard a lot of discussion about UFOs, and now suddenly, he had one down on the ground. As he flew over the awesome scene, he decided that he was going to switch planes and return there as quickly as possibly to look at the thing up close.” The aviator returned to the scene of the crash a few hours later, according to Uriarte. “They landed the small plane right alongside the crashed UFO and noticed that a large number of Mexican soldiers had already taken control of the crash site.
They had cordoned off the area and would not allow Willingham or Perkins to approach the main part of the wreckage. However, what they were able to see and look at was so amazing that it forever changed their lives.” Before being forced to leave the area by the Mexican military, Willingham picked up a chunk of strange metal debris that was about the size of a man’s hand. He later tried to burn it, cut it, and otherwise deform it, but he was not able to. “It was a piece of something not of this world,” Uriarte said. Torres and Uriarte are active members of the UFO research community with many years of experience investigating UFO cases in the Southwestern U.S. and Northern Mexico. Their research has appeared on the History Channel’s UFO Hunters and UFO Files TV shows. Their first book, Mexico’s Roswell: The Chihuahua UFO Crash, published in 2007, received wide critical acclaim and was the basis for a February 2008 episode of UFO Hunters, in which the authors appeared. The authors have appeared frequently on UFO-related TV and radio shows and have spoken at many conferences and events.

For years, mysterious blasts of radio waves coming from billions of light-years away have stumped scientists on Earth. Lasting a mere several thousandths of a second, the blasts – called fast radio bursts – appear randomly in the sky and are often discovered hiding in data sets, months or years after they’ve arrived on Earth. Scientists haven’t been able to figure out what the blazingly bright bursts are, alternately suggesting the culprits could be evaporating black holes, colliding dense objects or flaring dead stars, among other possibilities.
For a while, some even thought the enigmatic bursts were an artifact produced by life on Earth, rather than signals coming from outside our galaxy. (“Aliens” appeared to be the preferred explanation among readers of stories describing the mystery.)
Now, after studying how the incoming radio waves in a newly detected burst are twisted and scattered, a team of scientists has uncovered some crucial clues about the blast’s origin: It originated far, far away, in an area with dense, highly magnetized plasma – and traveled through two gas clouds before colliding with the Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia.
“It could be from a star-forming region, a supernova remnant, or the dense inner regions of a galaxy. But these all point toward a younger stellar population, a region that’s forming stars or where stars are dying and exploding,” says Kiyoshi Masui, of the University of British Columbia, who described the burst today inNature. “There are a lot of models for what these fast radio bursts are. I wouldn’t make any strong bets on any one of them, but my favorite one is flares from magnetars,” he said, referring to a type of extremely magnetic, tempestuous neutron star.
Mining the Data
Masui and his colleagues found the burst, called FRB 110523, in data they’d collected while studying the large-scale structure of the universe. After becoming intrigued by fast radio bursts, the team decided to search for the brief-but-bright signals and wrote a computer program to sift through 650 hours of observations. The program came back with 6,496 candidate bursts – and the unlucky task of sorting through those by eye fell to Hsiu-Hsien Lin of Carnegie Mellon University, who easily identified the one real burst among the thousands of imposters.
The burst exploded on May 23, 2011 in the constellation Aquarius and lasted for roughly three milliseconds. Because of how the team was looking at the cosmos, the scientists were able to extract some important information about the burst’s origin. Mapping matter in the universe means getting detailed information about polarization, or how incoming radiation – such as light and radio waves – is oriented.
“They have to take very high quality, very highly calibrated data that includes full polarization information,” says astronomer Scott Ransom of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory. “That’s kind of overkill for most of the pulsar observations, which is where most fast radio bursts have been seen in the past.”
Hiding in that polarization data were some crucial clues. The radio waves had been twisted as they traveled through the cosmos, something that can only happen if they’d passed through a magnetic field. By measuring how twisted the waves were, the team could determine how strong the magnetic field was – and nothing in the Milky Way is strong enough to warp a radio wave to that degree.
“There’s just not enough magnetization there,” Masui says. “And along the line of sight, most of the distance between us and the burst is just really empty space…so the only thing left is that the magnetization came from the source itself.”
But there’s more. The team determined that in addition to originating near an intense magnetic field, the burst traveled through at least two clouds of ionized gas. As it did, the clouds scattered the radio waves and changed the shape of the burst, producing discernible signatures that only appeared when the team looked at the data in millionths-of-a-second intervals. The first of those clouds, Masui says, is at the signal’s origin; the second is somewhere in the Milky Way.
Lastly, the team figured out the burst couldn’t have traveled more than 6 billion light-years before arriving at Earth.
“Well, it could be between 6 billion and 100 million light-years away,” Masui says.
Astronomers who study these bursts say the team’s work is solid, and that the case for the signals coming from outside the galaxy is getting stronger.
“It’s amazing what they got out of such a small amount of data,” Ransom says. “If these things are really coming from outside of our galaxy, they’re just mindboggling – we just don’t understand them.”
Magnetars?
Masui and his colleagues suspect the burst originated in a young, star-forming region in a distant galaxy. (But which galaxy? “There’s something like 100 candidate galaxies that it could be in – we don’t have any idea,” Masui says.) Star-forming regions are known for being dusty, turbulent and sporadically violent. Here, young stars ignite when the crush of gravity turns dusty lumps into nuclear furnaces, and the biggest, brightest stars live fast and die explosive deaths.
When some of those large stars die, their corpses turn into magnetars – young, highly magnetic, spinning neutron stars. These are incredibly dense, incredibly exotic objects with magnetic fields millions of times stronger than the strongest magnet we’d find on Earth. Occasionally, starquakes ripple through a magnetar’s crust and disrupt the dead star, producing enormous flares that emit intense gamma rays.
Now, astronomers suspect these flaring magnetars might also emit radio waves – and could be the culprits behind fast radio bursts.
“They are amongst the most powerful — apart from the sun, which happens to be next door — sources of high-energy radiation that we receive on Earth,” says Caltech astrophysicist Shrinivas Kulkarni, who doubted for years that the bursts came from outside the Milky Way.
Now, he says, the preponderance of the evidence suggests an extragalactic origin for the phenomena – a conclusion he published this week in a paper submitted to the arXiv.
“Every test I feel I’ve undertaken to show the bursts are nearby has failed,” he says.
In his recent paper, Kulkarni and colleagues took a close look at a burst that had been detected by the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico. They independently reached conclusions that are very similar to those of Masui and his colleagues: That the burst came from outside the galaxy, in a region with dense, highly magnetized plasma – and that it could be the work of a magnetar.
So, while teams have only pulled this kind of information from two of the 16 known fast radio bursts, the results are still good news for scientists searching for the signals’ origin – a search that should become easier as a new generation of telescopes comes online.

Believe it or not, there have been a half-dozen UFO sightings around Columbus and Phenix City over the past two years according to an online database.
The National UFO Reporting Center collects anonymous reports from around the country on strange and unexplainable sights. They have reports of sightings going back to the '60s, and from every state. We put together an infographic of reports from the Chattahoochee Valley over the last two years, as well as Alabama and Georgia for the previous seven.
Take all of this with a huge grain of salt. These are unconfirmed, anonymous reports about things that sound a lot like military aircraft. The CIA estimated that more than half of all UFO sightings in the '50s and '60s were actually secret U-2 and SR-71 spy planes.
"UFO stories are used as a cover story for the flight-testing of experimental and clandestine aircraft," said author Mark Pilkington. "If you look at the places where UFO sightings are frequent, they are also the places where the military tests its experimental aircraft."
The National UFO Reporting Center was founded in 1974 by UFO investigator Robert J. Gribble. The Center's primary purpose, according to its biography, is to record and document reports from individuals who have witnessed unusual or UFO-related events. Its data has been used by other outlets to create products like this US map of sightings.
If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. That seems to be the motto for the upcoming X-Files revival miniseries. In addition to keeping most of the original cast and the original credit sequence from the show, the series has also put a special focus on UFOs and aliens in its latest marketing. As loyal fans know, the alien conspiracies were central to the series even while the writers did other “monster of the week” episodes throughout the run.
The latest promotional spot for the show reminds us of just that in a very clever way. With only six episodes for the miniseries, there’s only so much footage to use to tease potential audience members with. Instead of giving us new footage from the show, the marketing team has put together viral footage of UFOs, reminding us of Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully’s (Gillian Anderson) search for the truth about extraterrestrials.
It happens to be the perfect time for this kind of teaser too as there was a flurry of twitter activity in early November as people, including celebrities like Josh Groban, shared images of a supposed UFO over the California coast that was also revealed to be a test of some kind by the Air Force. It looks like Fox is using actual video footage posted from that event to social media for their promo as well.

ZAGREB, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Croatian archaeologists recently announced they had discovered a 3,500-year-old sunken town and a port in the Adriatic Sea near Zadar, a southern coastal city.
"We found the remains of a large settlement and a port in the sea between the islands of Ricula and Galesnjak in the Pasman Channel last year. After radiocarbon analysis finished this month, we could say that the remains were probably built around 1500 B.C.," Mato Ilkic, head of the archaeological research team at Zadar University, told Xinhua in a telephone interview.
They unearthed various findings during two research explorations in a small part of the settlement, covering a total area of nearly two hectares, Ilkic said.
The most valuable findings were the very rare wood objects from 3,500 years ago, he said.
The laboratory test results on samples of wooden pylons found on the sandy sea bottom showed that the town and port, as well as other facilities, were constructed in the mid-Bronze Age period, according to Ilkic.
The results also confirmed that the sunken settlement was built by unknown communities living along the Pasman channel before the advent of Liburnians, an ancient tribe living in areas of the Adriatic Sea during the late Bronze Age, Ilkic said.
"The discovery of this wide site will certainly shed light on a dark period of pre-history -- the Bronze Age of northern Dalmatia," he added.
Last year, using satellite images and aerial photographs, the archaeologists discovered a huge, man-made formation in water three meters deep. Underwater archaeologists dove at the location and found fragments of pottery, wood residues and others, according to Ilkic.
Specifically, they found wooden pylons and other artifacts typical of communities living by the sea, he said. The other finding included a large quantity of goat and sheep bones, a stone axe, and olive pits.
"We believe the olive pits we found are the oldest ones in northern Dalmatia and perhaps in the entire Adriatic," Ilkic added.
According to him, a museum to display the archaeological findings would possibly be set up in the near future.

Kroatische archeologen hebben onlangs bekendgemaakt dat ze een 3500 jaar oude verzonken stad en een haven hebben ontdekt in de Adriatische Zee.
“We hebben afgelopen jaar de resten van een grote nederzetting en een haven gevonden tussen de eilanden Ricula en Galesnjak in het Pasmankanaal,” zei archeoloog Mato Ilkic van de Universiteit van Zadar. “We schatten dat de stad rond 1500 voor Christus is gebouwd.”
Onbekend volk
Er is inmiddels een klein deel van de nederzetting onderzocht, aldus Ilkic. Er zijn onder meer zeer zeldzame houten objecten gevonden die meer dan 3500 jaar oud zijn.
Uit laboratoriumonderzoek is gebleken dat de stad en de haven gebouwd zijn in de Midden-Bronstijd, zei Ilkic. De verzonken stad is gesticht door een nog onbekend volk dat langs het Pasmankanaal leefde.
Tentoonstelling
Afgelopen jaar ontdekten de archeologen aan de hand van satellietbeelden en luchtfoto’s een enorme, door mensen gemaakte formatie op drie meter diepte. Onderwaterarcheologen troffen er stukken aardewerk en houten voorwerpen aan.
Er zijn ook grote hoeveelheden botten van schapen en geiten, een stenen bijl en olijvenpitten gevonden. “Het gaat volgens ons om de oudste olijvenpitten die in het noorden van Dalmatië en mogelijks zelfs in het hele Adriatische Zeegebied zijn gevonden,” voegde Ilkic toe.
Waarschijnlijk komt er in de nabije toekomst een tentoonstelling over de archeologische vondst.
When facing the UFO phenomenon head on, the most problematic question one may ask is actually the most simple: Are UFOs real?
The answer is yes. The answer is always yes. In fact, it’s literally right there in the letters; UFO. It is, in essence, an object in flight that is unidentified. Perhaps the most common place definition comes from the late astronomer, J. Allen Hynek. In his book, The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry, Hynek dryly, yet appropriately describes a UFO as being:
“… the reported perception of an object or light seen in the sky or upon the land. The appearance, trajectory, and general dynamic and luminescent behavior of which do not suggest a logical, conventional explanation and which is not only mystifying to the original percipients but remains unidentified after close scrutiny of all available evidence by persons who are technically capable of making a common sense identification, if one is possible.”

It doesn’t get much more self-explanatory than that. But where did this painfully obvious term stem from? And why, throughout the past sixty years or so, has it become not so obvious? The acronym was coined by Captain Edward Ruppelt, who in 1953, led the official investigation into aerial phenomena through the channels of the U.S. Air Force. To further the public from any notion that these objects were extraterrestrial, Ruppelt , serving as a catch-all for the mysterious objects appearing, flying, and sometimes floating through the skies. The acronym stuck, remaining the go-to letters for almost every media outlet known to man.

Thousands and thousands of declassified documents by intelligence agencies around the world can be found in reference to UFOs. These documents boast reports from the simply mundane misidentifications and natural phenomena, to the most intriguing and perplexing, begging more questions on just exactly what these UFOs are and are not. Here, in the United States, we left it up to the military to investigate what could potentially be a threat to our own safety on the hard ground below and the cushioned security of our skies above. Let’s take a look at how it all began.
The Official Study of the Phenomenon Begins… and Ends
The U.S. Air Force first attempted to decipher the enigmatic code behind these aerial phenomena back in 1947 with Project Sign. As the project’s personnel compiled case after case of sightings, they argued that what they seemed to be dealing with was in fact something of extraterrestrial intelligence. However, this notion was quickly swept under the rug, and replaced in 1949 by Project Grudge. Headed by aeronautical engineer, Edward J Ruppelt, Project Grudge was in essence, a continuation of looking into these phenomena with a much more objective eye, dismantling the possibility that UFO activity was caused by anything but natural and/or manmade anomalies and intervention.
The study of UFOs continued in its final iteration, Project Blue Book, in 1952. This was the longest, and most well publicized Air Force study, compiling over 12,000 reports of sightings in the western world alone. Project Blue Book continued until 1968, when the Air Force-funded Condon Committee was created to draft a final report on their findings. Physicist, Edward U. Condon, and an investigative group out of the University of Colorado, used files from Project Blue Book and several independent UFO research organizations to determine that, first and foremost, UFOs caused no threat to national security. They also concluded that there was absolutely no scientific evidence proving that UFOs were extraterrestrial in origin. And with that, the official American study of the phenomenon came to a whimpering end. But that didn’t stop certain members of these projects from looking further into the phenomenon and case reports.
Civilian Research Organizations
Many individuals within the government sphere were involved in the study of UFOs. Most notably of these individuals was none other than the aforementioned J. Allen Hynek. Hynek, having been a lead investigator all throughout Project Grudge and Project Blue Book, was first hired to explain away each and every UFO report as natural or manmade phenomena. But after seeing Blue Book out until the very end, he simply couldn’t accept that that was a conventional explanation for every sighting or incident. His skeptical view slowly tilted to a more open-minded approach, favoring the idea that some of the UFOs being seen could in fact be of an extraterrestrial or non-human intelligence. And in 1973, he would found the Chicago-based Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS). This organization consisted of many credible scientists and researchers who evaluated UFO reports in a careful and thorough way. To this day, a large archive of the work done by Hynek and CUFOS can be found through various online outlets and through the publication of Hynek’s definitive book, The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry.
While many other organizations came and went, perhaps the most visible and well known would have to be the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). Originally founded by Walt Andrus, a technology manager and educator, and John Schuessler, a retired aerospace engineer, the two would invite many of their colleagues to join the organization, such as notable nuclear physicist, Stanton Friedman and optical physicist, Dr. Bruce Maccabee. Using their technical and analytical skills in many different arenas throughout the years, MUFON now boasts chapters in every single state, investigating cases of aerial phenomena, close encounters, and in its most modern iteration, even supposed alien abduction cases. Investigators bring their reports and data to the state directors who then follow up on many of the cases with an objective and critical approach. MUFON remains active today, hosting several large conferences throughout the year and an annual journal of case reports.
Unlike the investigative organizations above, there is another ambitious undertaking that consists of compilation of UFO reports by the public. The National UFO Reporting Center, (NUFORC) founded in 1974 by Robert J. Gribble, the center has catalogued a staggering 90,000 reports in its history. Aside from its cataloguing endeavors, the center also provides regional statistics to assist specific geographical needs of those who seek information about local sightings and reports. The center remains active as this book is being published, having been taken over in 1994 by Peter Davenport, a former MUFON member, and professor of genetics and biochemistry. While many other civilian organizations have come and gone, the challenge for each seemed to be that of funding. Each organization held highly esteemed scientists and every facet, yet very little money had ever been set into place to provide any substantial sustainability. This is something the scientific community, UFOs aside, have always wrestled with. How does one fund their research when theory is their only means in which to progress? Perhaps this may be why scientific study into the UFO phenomenon lay deep on the fringe, splintering off into the above organizations in all their ambitious efforts. Perhaps by looking closer at the relationship between mainstream science and the UFO phenomenon, we can begin to narrow in on the phenomenon’s deeply embedded, and often ridiculed reputation.
Mainstream Science and UFOs
After the sobering determination made by the Condon Committee’s report, all hope of a possible intelligent extraterrestrial presence seemed to dissipate. But a small shred of debate by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) cracked open the possibility that the scientific community wasn’t completely against the notion of a possible alien phenomenon. In response to the Condon Report, the AIAA noted that at least thirty percent of cases studied remained unexplained by conventional and natural science, and that scientific benefit could still be gained by further study of the phenomenon.
Michael Shermer, publisher of Skeptic Magazine and contributor to Scientific American, once stated that:
“In all fields of science there is a residue of anomalies unexplained by the dominant theory. That does not mean the prevailing theory is wrong or that alternative theories are right. It just means that more work needs to be done to bring those anomalies into the accepted paradigm. In the meantime, it is okay to live with the uncertainty that not everything has an explanation.”
While Shermer accepts living in this uncertainty, many scientists keep the current paradigm in a stagnant purgatory, not only by ignoring the UFO phenomenon entirely, but refusing to even acknowledge the potential of such technologies and how they could ultimately benefit both science and on a greater scale, humanity. But the dark cloud looking above has always been that of pure ridicule, a festering specter whispering in the collective scientific ear that UFOs are simply bunk, and not worth the time, talents, or intelligence of some of the greatest thinkers in history. In a field where thought reigns supreme, and reputations hang on the threads of governmental influence, far-out theories on exotic aircraft of potentially non-human intelligence could completely overshadow even the most influential of scientists and the contributions they have made to their respective fields. But there are those who are willing to put their thoughts in the face of ridicule and speak publicly about such fringe topics, and are willing to call others out for their woeful ignorance to the topic in general.
Of those who reject it right out, “They’re wrong, naive, stubborn, narrow-minded, afraid and fearful,” says Eric Davis, an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics award winning- propulsion physicist at the Institute of Advanced Studies. In an interview with Lee Spiegel of the Huffington Post, Davis would elaborate: “It’s a dirty word (UFOs) and a forbidden topic. Science is about open-minded inquiry. You shouldn’t be laughing off people. You should show more deference and respect to them. Scientists need to get back to using the scientific method to study things that are unknown and unusual, and the UFO subject is one of them.”
While such accusations can seem generalized, Davis also admits that there are many scientists who do study the phenomenon, if even from the peripheral. “There are those who are aware of evidence and observational data that is irrefutable. It is absolutely corroborated, using forensic techniques and methodology. But they won’t come out and publicize that because they fear it. Not the subject, but the backlash from their professional colleagues.”
Davis goes on to admit that this topic isn’t just meant to be studied by the scientific community. “It’s the domain of military intelligence,” he suggests. “The fact that [unknown] craft are flying around Earth is not a subject for science, it’s a subject for intelligence-gathering, collection and analysis. That’s because UFOs are not a natural phenomenon, and that’s what science studies.”

Whatever these UFOs may or may not be, they seem to defy most conventional propulsion theories that we readily know of here on our planet. But therein lay the limitations scientific methodology. For instance, why do UFOs, making the most dramatic and unconventional maneuvers, need to be piloted by some sort of biological entity? Why is this the reason that some scientists dismiss the objects being piloted craft whose said pilots could not conceivably survive such speeds, velocity, or maneuvers? We send hundreds of unmanned spacecraft out into the heavens constantly for this very reason. What if the objects we witness, racing, floating, and suddenly appearing and disappearing in our skies are nothing more than highly advance drones from somewhere off-planet? Perhaps it could be best summarized by theoretical physicist, Michio Kaku. He once remarked:
“Some scientists have scoffed at UFOs because they don’t fit any of the gigantic propulsion designs being considered by engineers today, such as ramjet fusion engines, huge laser-powered sails and nuclear pulsed engines, which might be miles across. But UFOs can be as small as a jet airplane, and can refuel from a nearby moon base. So sightings may correspond to unmanned reconnaissance ships.”

So if we are dealing with potential craft (some being unmanned perhaps, some not) entering our atmosphere from space, who better to carry the proverbial weight of UFO observation and possible investigation than those who study celestial bodies and space itself? With the most powerful telescopes observing objects of great distance, and individuals with vast knowledge of what could potentially lay within and beyond earth’s atmosphere, it would be more than appropriate for astronomers to play a large role in the search for truth behind these elusive anomalies.
In 2010, a barrage of UFO sightings saturated the headlines of Chinese newspapers, reports coming in almost on a daily basis. As strange lights and solid objects plagued the skies of China, local airports were temporarily shut down until the objects could no longer be observed as a potential threat for landings and takeoff. Clearly, this was turning into more than just a simple misidentification by civilians.
Planetary astronomer, Wang Sichao, of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, investigated many of these sightings throughout the years, taking a keen interest in the phenomenon as it hit closer and closer to home at the Purple Mountain Observatory where he worked. In at interview with the Beijing Review, Sichao would comment on the UFO reports as “events of credible facts backed by observation. But these facts cannot yet be explained by existing scientific knowledge or natural phenomena.” And while Sichao took on the bulk of UFO sightings in China for self interest and curiosity, he would go on to explain why astronomers are not primarily in the business of searching for or investigating UFO reports: “The reason is that a UFO only appears randomly and often disappears rapidly in a few minutes,” he would continue. “By the time large professional telescopes are started up, it has already disappeared. So, we can only rely on information from occasional sightings or encounters by observers.”

In his book, The UFO Phenomenon: Should I Believe?, author and scientist, Dr. Robert Davis points out that:
“Evidence within Ufology is largely based on such anecdotal claims, it is very difficult to build testable hypotheses to either reject or confirm through a validation process, such as, testing predictions against observations to confirm a hypothesis…. ufology would greatly benefit from collaborative research efforts with the scientific community, but instead, have often alienated (no pun intended) them.”
It would seem that with the amount of dedicated scientists connected to the study of UFOs in its sordid independent organizational past, that rigorous scientific method and mainstream acceptance would gradually become inevitable. But with such a complex and frustrating phenomenon taunting us from the corner, it just doesn’t seem to be moving as swiftly as we may have hoped it would. To further the point that science and UFO studies are not exactly in synch, Richard Hall, assistant director of the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) once stated: “Although the ranks of Ufology contain the seeds of science, it should not now pretend to be a science, but a popular movement advocating scientific investigation. It should (and could) clarify and present the factual evidence in a manner designed to encourage a true scientific investigation, which would make use of all the techniques and facilities available to science today.”
The Journey Begins
So while we seem to have varying opinions on a governmental, scientific, and civilian level, one factor remains constant: UFOs are on the mind of individuals in every walk of life, from the simple observer on the side of the road, to the most forward-thinking (and sometimes skeptical) scientists of yesterday and today. So again, we are faced with many dilemmas of how to move forward. These phenomena are far more complex than a singular non-human intelligence pulling the proverbial strings of mystery. A fellow colleague of mine, author and researcher, Micah Hanks, suggested the following in his book, The UFO Singularity:
“The mere proof of official interest in he UFO presence throughout the years cannot by itself make concrete the existence of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, nor can it prove that any single phenomenon can be attributed solely to the identity of the kinds of unidentifiable aircraft in our skies…probing even deeper into the mystery, there could yet be stranger solutions to the enigma that exists somewhere in our midst.”

Conclusions
While we continue to search for these strange answers in our midst, we also continue to question the approaches we take in that search. Whether it be from the anecdotal evidence of eyewitnesses or the analytical eye of scientists throughout the world, the phenomenon remains as elusive as ever. So in all its enigmatic glory, all we can truly do is continue to search somewhere in the skies for the answers we seek, and the questions we crave. Will we be satisfied with the answers science eventually gives us? Or will we deny it, leading us back down the path of the illogical and immeasurable? Only time will truly tell. And in that telling, we can be certain of one thing: the UFO phenomenon isn’t going to ever leave us. In fact, it seems that it has only begun its invasion on our curious, and ever-expanding minds.

If you are ever in space and find yourself meeting an alien, you should know that NASA has a few guidelines you can follow. Before you get too creative about what these suggestions might be, you should understand the space agency’s interpretation of the word alien. The head of NASA, Charlie Bolden, told IFL science: “…we don’t realistically think we’re going to encounter somebody like you or me.” Most experts believe the definition of extraterrestrial life amounts to microorganisms. “We do have guidelines for dealing with microbial life if we find it,” Bolden said. “In fact, we have guidelines that prevent us from, for example, on Mars getting too close to a place that may be a source of living organisms, because we don’t want to contaminate that area.” So there you have it, remember not to get too close. Keeping with our interaction with space, Bolden also agrees with Stephen Hawking on colonising other planets. “How can anyone disagree with Stephen Hawking! I am, like he, one who believes that the species that will survive forever maybe is a multi-planet species,” he highlighted. “So I agree with him that we need to get off this planet, or at least demonstrate the ability to go out and get off this planet, as does President Obama by the way.” Bolden and Hawking are not the only people who want to get off this planet. At approximately 23:40 hours on Sunday, November 20, 2005, a large multicolored object was seen over the seacoast facing the city of Necohcea in the extreme southeastern corner of the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Numerous eyewitnesses on the coast were able to witness–after a very hot day– the maneuvers of a large circular object over the sea and heading southward. The object issued a variety of lights colored blue, red, yellow and white without making any noise whatsoever. The object or ball of light was over the sea facing the city, finally heading south along the coast, becoming lost in the dark of night. Workers who were on the city of Necochea’s breakwater at the time, in the Puerto Quequ�n-Necochea area, were also witnesses to this event, as they could see the object’s maneuvers from said vantage point.
“All of us were exhilarated as we worked at the tip of the breakwater – we could see the object, which emitted multicolored lights over the sea. Finally, after several minutes of observations, it lost itself heading toward Punta Negra in the darkness of the night.” It should be noted that Punta Negra is a coastal community of the City of Necochea, receiving its name by the color of its sands, a consequence of high iron concentrations. The squad of workers, approximately 8 people, were working on the expansion of the city of Necochea’s breakwater, working a 12 hour shift. When consulted, the local Airport reported that no aerial artifacts flew over the area, much less at that time of night.
There is no doubt that many people witnessed this object, particularly all of those who were enjoying a very warm night facing the shores of Necochea.

A fleet of UFOs was captured on tape by a passenger on board of a jet airliner heading to Taiwan. The man managed to film this amazing proof of UFOs on planet Earth until he was asked to turn off his phone due to the landing policy.
After the case was reported to, analysts and UFO hunters tried to find a reasonable explanation for this peculiar sighting, but ended up without any reasonable justification, apart from a UFO scenario, therefor closing the case unexplained.
The bright UFOs appearing on the plane window do not resemble to any known crafts. They appear relatively small in size and their shape is likely to be circular or round. Also, the strange orbs are flying at a lower altitude than the jet airliner, right above the clouds that provide a perfect cover up from ground radars and other devices that could spy on them.
Are these flying orbs following or spying on the plane? Or is it that they’ve been spotted and filmed by pure coincidence? From what the witness revealed, it appears that a powerful light coming from the window captured his attention. He stated that:
I was on the airplane of Eva Airline from Canada to Taiwan. It was October 16, 2014, 30 minutes before landing. The first clip was only five seconds. I saw a bright light flying under. In the second picture I saw three UFOs in my camera.
The third video I have is 38 seconds and it shows about eight UFOs flying under the plane. I used slow motion to film the video until they asked me to turn my camera off due to landing policy. The location is at the northeast of Taiwan.
We can see clearly how the bright orbs are flying just above the clouds while at the same time maintaining the same speed as the plane. They don’t appear to have an organize formation like a military squad would, therefor raising a lot of questions about their origins. Could these be alien crafts? Or is it that the military is testing their new toys?
After further analyzing this case, we have found a lot of similarities between these UFOs and the bright orbs reported all over the world. The objects are flying at the same altitude, which most of the time is just above or below the clouds and have the same characteristics in shape and brightness. Also at a closer look, they appear to pulsate, thus explaining the powerful ray of light which drawn the attention of the witness.
These curious bright orbs were seen by UFO hunters countless times and are either interfering with the chem trails, or they perform “bizarre rituals” on the night sky by executing some law-defying maneuvers. This however, is a rare case surprised from above, and it reveals an alarming number of these orbs, as well as an oblivious attitude towards our earthly aircraft. Why are these UFOs not going for a cautious approach, behind the plane or even on its sides? Is it because they are already used to our extreme ignorance or maybe because we’re talking about military technology here?
Whatever the case, this phenomenon is becoming more and more alarming, and as their numbers appear to increase, so is their level of ignorance towards us. If these orbs are indeed of extraterrestrial origins, military devices or even artificial intelligence, we are yet to find out, and based on their fearless behavior, it might not take that long until they publicly reveal themselves to the world.
You can also view the case of the fallen UFOs that are strongly resembling to the orbs from the video. From what we know, the military immediately secured the objects and NASA declared that they were only space debris from the ISS.

Author E.J. Wilson has answers to the famous question, “Are we alone in the universe?” E.J.’s book is considered by many as the go-to-guy when it comes to aliens. Barbara VanEaton said that everybody comes to him to know more about extraterrestrials, and it just continues throughout the year. It’s hard to imagine how many people come through, Barbara added.
While not all people believe the story of alien in Roswell, there’s no denying Roswell loves UFOs and aliens.

The book outlines in great detail the famous 1947 UFO crash that put Roswell on the map. Wilson himself claims he had an experience with extra-terrestrials, which has inspired him to write the book.
Wilson said that his encounter made him aware there’s value in documenting this kind of things. He can communicate some of the things into his research and his finding, Wilson explained. He said that there’s no need for him to know if aliens are real or not. According to him, he just wants to know why and what they are up to.
Whether you are a believer or not, Wilson says he only wants to answer a single thing with his book.
He just intends to respond to the fundamental question of humanity: is there anyone else out there? He believes, yes. They are not only out there – they are visiting right now, he said.

Catch 22: Problems Arise From Asking for Unclassified Details on UFOs
Studying claims of unexplained aerial phenomenon, even the better ones, can be damned tricky at times.
Even if you’re able to get around all the ideologues and arguing about what a “UFO” supposedly is (or isn’t), no group or other entity really seems to agree on any clear, qualitative procedure for how the subject might be studied.
Further complicating things is the fact that government agencies in the U.S. largely closed the book on there being any scientific merit to UFO studies decades ago, thus leaving things in the generally questionable realm of public groups which have a harder time garnering things like funding, let alone the level of fact-checking and peer review required for a truly scientific undertaking of the subject.
Thus, at times it’s not only tricky, but quite discouraging. We see groups from time to time that do attempt to present data on UFOs from a scientific perspective, but which generally tend to leave more questions than answers.
For instance, the recent footage of a purported UFO filmed using thermal cameras over Puerto Rico from a Homeland Security aircraft is looking more and more like footage of either a balloon, or perhaps more likely, a pelican in flight.
To attempt to offer prosaic explanations like this, for what some had previously viewed as being potentially good evidence, isn’t necessarily an attack on the study of UFOs. It is, however, trying to remove the questionable instances, in favor of those which may offer better data.
This brings to mind something a friend of mine brought to my attention a few years back. Around that time, I had expressed interest in reports of so-called “black triangle” UFOs, and whether or not some stealth blimp technology might explain the reports, possibly under the operation of DARPA or some similar agency.
My friend, who requested anonymity, offered his thoughts on the matter. “I sincerely doubt you can get anything from FOIA,” he said. “But it wouldn’t hurt to try.” He suggested using a search term like “airship tech”, and told me about a website called DTIC, which he referred to as, “the clearinghouse for documents of the DOD dating back to World War II. “It is interesting that they DO have documents listed as unclassified, but they are still not permitted to be released to the public,” my friend said.
As a reference, the site he referenced was that of the Defense Technical Information Center, which features more than 4 million documents that include technical reports and Independent Research and Development (IR&D) summaries, available to government, academic institutions, and in the case of unclassified documents, the general public as well.
To this point, my friend then explained his own frustration with a sort of “Catch 22″ he had encountered when it came to filing for certain kinds of requests:
“On a separate topic from black triangles, I asked them how I could request that they convert them from unclassified-government only to unclassified-anyone. They said they did not have the resources to do that since most of the originators of the documents are gone (reorganizations over the years). They said they could process them based only on a FOIA process… So it is a catch22, since these kinds of documents can’t be shared with the public until they go through the FOIA process, but then how does the public know what to ask about? I just gave up at that point.”
So in other words, there could be information available for release through FOIA that, for all we may know, could help shed some light on various technologies that have largely been associated with UFO reports over the years; accessible, that is, for those in the public sphere who might be really good at guessing.
But so far as anything pertaining to those “black triangles”, my guess is that for now, I’ll probably just have to keep waiting… and that’s if, of course, the U.S. government actually has any information about them in the first place (insert scenario regarding 1) foreign technology, 2) breakaway civilizations, 3) time travelers, or even 4) extraterrestrials).

We’re not shocked at the news about a mass animal cloning factory opening in China that is rumored to be conducting experiments on humans, so why is there such skepticism that aliens may be doing conducting genetic experiments with body parts taken from Earth animals during so-called ‘cattle mutilations’? Analysis of the remains of cattle after a recent mutilation in Argentina suggests this may be what happened there.

The cattle mutilation occurred in Villa Cool, a town in east-central Argentina. The bodies of three cows and a bull were found with body parts expertly removed with no evidence of blood. That’s not unusual since most reports on cattle mutilations use words like “surgical precision” and “laser-like” to describe the incisions. What caught the eyes of investigators in this case were what body parts were removed – tongues, jaws, brains, eyes and reproductive organs.
Why should we be concerned about these particular body parts being missing? Germs and bacteria, says Johanan Diaz who was investigating the mutilations for a documentary produced by Tercer Milenio. These are the body parts with the most germs and bacteria and that’s why they’re possibly being taken by aliens … to dissect, analyze and potentially modify the bacteria and genes.
The genetically modified bacteria or germs could then be used by an alien invader to control or conquer humans by secretly manipulating the food supply. The bacteria could be changed to sicken or kill humans eating the cattle or, as may be the case in the factory in China and probably many other places, modify them to suit their needs.
Animal mutilations have long been a controversial topic. Suggested “natural” causes have included nature (animals or parasites eating the animals), decomposition (bloated skin splitting open like it was cut), religious cults, sick pranksters or secret experiments by governments or businesses.
If we humans are already conducting secret genetic experiments on animals and each other, why is it so hard to believe that aliens wouldn’t do the same thing?

Un avion fait des manoeuvres "étranges" dans le ciel wallon: voici ENFIN l'explication (photos)

Les témoignages se sont accumulés ce jeudi matin pour nous signaler une manoeuvre peu habituelle d'un avion au-dessus de Sambreville. Dans un premier temps, Belgocontrol a indiqué qu'il s'agissait d'un vol de calibration, avant de changer d'avis en voyant les photos. Selon eux, il s'agirait d'un avion de la Défense, mais la porte-parole du Ministère n'a pas confirmé cette information. Voici finalement l'explication de ce phénomène.
"Pourquoi cet avion tourne dans le ciel vers 9h25 au-dessus de Sambreville ? Un problème, évite-t-il une collision ?", s'est interrogé un internaute de la province de Namur via notre page Alertez-nous, photo à l'appui.
D'autres témoignages du même genre nous sont parvenus durant la matinée, également depuis d'autres régions. "Un avion est en dérive sur le ciel, à Ougrée et Seraing", s'est inquiété Johannis en région liégeoise.
De son côté, Patrick a observé les manoeuvres particulières de l'engin à proximité de Lincent, toujours en province de Liège. "Voici un trajet un peu particulier de la part d'un avion de ligne. Quelques instants plus tard, il a fait demi-tour vers le sud, à la verticale de Lincent vers 9h30".
Antonio s'est voulu plus détendu de grand matin, prenant les faits avec humour. "Deux choses l'une, soit le pilote est complètement bourré de beau matin, soit on a à faire au baron rouge qui s'amuse à faire des ronds. Mais dans tous les cas, je ne m'explique pas comment il est possible de faire une boucle aussi serrée avec ce qui semble être un avion de ligne", a-t-il écrit.
Des vols de calibration... ou plutôt des F16
Nous avons contacté Belgocontrol pour savoir ce qui se passait avec cet avion de ligne dans le ciel wallon. Dominique Dehaene, porte-parole de l'entreprise publique chargée du contrôle du trafic aérien, a rapidement rassuré les personnes qui s'inquiétaient de ces manoeuvres peu habituelles. "Il s'agit probablement d'un vol de calibration. C'est un vol qui se fait à basse altitude pour calibrer les instruments, sans passager évidemment". Lors d'un vol de calibration, les pilotes effectuent quelques réglages sur les aides à la navigation. "Cela signifie donc qu'ils calibrent les instruments en liaison avec des installations au sol. Mais il n'y a rien d'anormal dans le ciel. Ce sont des vols annoncés et réglés", a-t-il indiqué.
Mais quelques heures plus tard, en apercevant les photos sur notre site internet, Belgocontrol a considéré que ces trajectoires ne correspondaient pas à un vol de calibration. "Ce que l'on voit sur ces photos ne correspond pas à un vol de calibration. Non là il s'agit plus probablement d'un vol effectué par la Défense", nous a confié Dominique Dehaene avant de préciser quelques minutes plus tard: "Nous avons pris plus de renseignements, car il y a pas mal de malentendus autour de cet événement. Il y a eu deux vols militaires ce matin. Un près de Charleroi, et l'autre dans le Limbourg. C'était des F16, c'est sûrement cela l'explication, d'autant plus que ces vols avaient lieu à 9h30. Il faudrait contacter la Défense pour confirmer. Le malentendu vient du fait que des vols de calibration avaient aussi lieu aujourd'hui, mais pas à cette heure-là", a-t-il conclu.
Suite à cette déclaration, nous avons logiquement contacté le service de presse de la Défense, à qui nous avons transmis les clichés que nous avons en notre possession. Mais ils n'ont pas confirmé les vols de F16. "D'après les renseignements que j'ai pu obtenir, il n'y a eu qu'un vol ce matin, vers 10h30, et c'était un C130, un appareil lourd et imposant. Selon moi, il n'est pas possible qu'un C130 effectue de telles manoeuvres", nous a-t-on confié.
Mais quelques instants plus tard, la porte-parole de la Défense nous a recontactés. Elle avait enfin l'explication. "Il y avait un vol d'essai prévu dans la région de Charleroi. C'était un F16 américain, qui testait des pièces de la Sabca (Société anonyme belge de constructions aéronautiques). Il volait à 10.000 mètres", nous a-t-elle affirmé.

Is there hidden life underneath the Earth’s mantle? An expedition set to drill the seabed will soon find out
A mission designed 60 years ago to drill into the seabed through the Earth’s crust and penetrate the underlying layer is becoming a reality in the Indian Ocean. Scientists hope to sample the mantle rock in order to answer important questions about the interior of our planet and how deep life can exist. Starting next week, the drill ship JOIDES Resolution will depart from Colombo, Sri Lanka, to a point in the southwest Indian Ocean known as the Atlantis Bank. There, the crew will drop a drill and, as planned, drill through 3 kilometers of rock, collecting core samples as they make their way through the Earth’s crust. If all goes well, future expeditions will complete the project working their way up to the mantle.
It is considered that the boundary between the crust and mantle is a feature marked by the discontinuity known as Mohorovicic, or simply ‘Moho’, which changes the speed of seismic waves. But at the Atlantis Bank, because of the unique geology, the ocean is relatively shallow in the area and the mantle rises close to the surface which will allow scientists to access it with incredible ease
The Mohorovičić discontinuity was first identified in 1909 by Croatian scientist Andrija Mohorovičić when an earthquake struck the country near the modern-day capital of Croatia, Zagreb. It is a boundary layer that basically separates the oceanic and continental crust from the underlying mantle.
In the distant past, specifically in 1960, an expedition attempted a similar project off the coast of Mexico but stopped shortly after reaching a depth of 183 meters. Now, nearly 60 years after, a next expedition wants to do what no one has ever done.
Crossing these unexplored borders which may hide countless treasures “is one of the great scientific endeavors of the century”, said Henry Dick, a Woods Hole geophysicist and co-leader of the 2015 expedition.
Not only are researchers interested in studying the geology as they make their way through never before explored areas of the planet, they are also extremely interested I studying the biological diversity of the area.
According to writing in Digital Trends, recent studies suggest the Atlantis Bank may be a source of serpentinite rock, which forms when seawater reacts with peridotite in the mantle rock, especially those that have been moved upwards by plate tectonics.
Scientists also hope to identify microbial species that could live off methane, a gas produced when the serpentinite rock is formed.
According to statements the first phase of the project will begin this month lasting until the end of January in 2016. The second and third phases will go on at an undetermined date using the Japanese drill ship the Chikyu which has the technology to allow researchers to reach the ‘Moho’ layer.
