George Wheeler’s Alien Ordeal

This case and report was exhaustively investigated by several researchers including Robert Pratt, who did exceptionally thorough interviews with all individuals important to the case, and Mr. Jack Bostrak, a Professor of Biology at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. I have included some of the APRO Bulletin from April 1976. I have also added a link at the end of the post to a site with more information. The important elements of this case are:

(1) The primary witness reported a UFO in April 1975, thus making him a “repeater”. (Some researchers, and Dr. J. Allen Hynek in particular, have reservations concerning the believability of witnesses where they claim more than one sighting. It is our contention that during heightened UFO activity in a particular area, an individual could easily have more than one sighting.) (2) The object, or the glow from it, was seen by at least two other witnesses. (3) There apparently were electro-mechanical effects on an automobile and possibly on television reception, and (4) possible animal reaction.

At about 11 p.m. on April 22, 1976, George Wheeler, a relief policeman at the town of Elmwood, population 737, located in west central Wisconsin about 60 miles east of the Mississippi River, spotted an orange glow at the top of Tuttle Hill. Mr. Wheeler is a veteran of 30 years police work in New York state and Wisconsin, and the former one-man police force in Elmwood where he now performs as reserve officer, filling in for the present chief when necessary. He was also a combat pilot in World War II.

Thinking that the glow was a large fire, he drove to the top of Tuttle Hill, but when he arrived there he found a strange glowing object which he estimated was about 500 feet distant and hovering about 100 feet off the ground. He said it was between a limestone quarry and a farmhouse in the area. Wheeler later said that there were six bluish-white lights, windows or portholes on the side and he could see shadows as if someone was moving inside of it. In the middle of the side facing him there appeared to be some kind of a panel that was open and Wheeler said that inside he could see something which was revolving slowly and had fin-like parts on it similar to a turbine.

What Wheeler interpreted to be legs on the craft were partially extended from the main body of the object and there was a long, black, hose-like appendage on the bottom. The main part of the craft was silver in color.

All the while he was observing, Mr. Wheeler remembered some advice given him by Bostrak the preceding April when he had his first experience: if he should have a similar experience in the future, he should attempt to observe as many details as possible.

When Wheeler first saw the object as he arrived at the top of the hill he radioed the sheriff’s department headquarters in Ellsworth and described what he was observing. Suddenly the object started to rise straight up at extremely high speed and at this time there was a bluish flash, whereupon the squad car, the lights, and the radio went dead. Wheeler claims that he doesn’t remember any more until somebody asked him if he needed any help. He thinks he recalls saying something of this nature when he radioed the sheriffs office: “My God, it’s another one of these UFOs or spacecraft.” He estimates that he observed the object for perhaps 45 seconds, and recalls that it made a “whooshing” sound when it left. Although the main body of the craft was silvery in color, the top of it glowed an orangish-white, and so brilliant that it was difficult for him to look at that part because it was “like looking into the sun.” He could not discern whether the hose-like appendage was touching the ground because it extended down to where it was obscured by trees.

The limestone quarry where the object was hovering is an active quarry, that is, it is still being worked. In the neighborhood, the nearest farm is that of the O’Bryan family and when Bostrak interviewed Mr. O’Bryan he said that he hadn’t seen anything because he was watching television, and casually noted that he recalled the time because he was watching the Perry Mason show which comes on at 11 p.m. and that several minutes after 11, his television set quit for a short time. When Bostrak visited another farm with Wheeler they learned nothing from the adults, but the 9-year-old boy said something about his sister coming home from “some doings” in town and when she came into the yard the dogs did not act normally. Always before, the dogs would run up to her and jump up for attention and petting but on that night they would not respond to her calls and merely barked for some time.

The first person to see George Wheeler after the accident was David Moots, 36, a dairy farmer at Elmwood. Moots had taken the babysitter home a few minutes before that and he had seen Wheeler’s squad car parked elsewhere with lights on, etc., so when he saw the car parked on the top of the hill with the lights out and blocking that lane of the road, he decided to stop. Moots said that Wheeler was trying to get out of the car and there seemed to be something wrong with him. Knowing that Wheeler had once had a heart attack, he thought he might be having another so he stopped and asked what was wrong. Moots said that Wheeler said that he’d been hit. He responded with a question: “Hit by a car?7′ Wheeler then said, “No, one of those UFOs.”

When interviewed, Moots said that he’d heard that a lot of people had seen UFOs in the area before so that was no particular surprise but the being “hit” by a UFO took him aback a bit. He said that Wheeler appeared to be dazed, and because although he did not know him well, he had had sufficient contact with him to know that he was not acting normally.

A second witness to the incident is Mrs. Miles Wergland, a housewife who lives just outside of Elmwood to the North. She claimed that at about 11 o’clock she heard the cuckoo clock strike and got up to go to the kitchen to take some medicine when she happened to glance out the kitchen window and spotted a “bright orange moon-shaped” object on the hill (Tuttle). She said she observed it for a “few minutes”, then went back to bed and did not even bother to wake her husband because she said she had seen strange things in the area before and he had merely told her to go back to bed, she was seeing the moon, without ever checking for himself.

The third witness to the actual object is Paul Fredrickson, who is administrator of the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood. Mr. Fredrickson was at his home when the police chief’s wife called him and asked him to go to his front porch and look out the window and see what he could see. Fredrickson did as he was asked, and saw what he later described as “an orange glow, like a half-moon, like a moon cut in half” on Tuttle Hill. He said he knew it was not a house on fire as there were no flames leaping up. He went back to the telephone and by that time his wife had gotten out of bed and the two of them went back to the window and the thing was gone. Fredrickson feels that the length of time that he spent on the telephone might have been from 3 to 5 minutes.

In the course of the investigation, Mr. Pratt found that Mr. Fredrickson had had another experience along with his son in October, 1975, at which time they were in the same general vicinity, and driving home from the Nursing Home where Mr. Fredrickson had worked overtime. His son suddenly pointed out “something” coming up over the horizon. At the time, they were on Tuttle Hill and looking eastward “right over the top of our house”. Fredrickson said his first impression was that it was the full moon rising but then realized it couldn’t be because the object was rising very rapidly. He stopped the car and they got out, the boy getting a better look because Mr. Fredrickson was busy with braking, turning off on to the side of the road, etc. Mr. Fredrickson described it at first as a big orange light coming toward them, but when it was overhead it looked like the bottom of a huge, gray plate which he estimated was about 100 feet across. He thinks perhaps it may have been between 500 and 1,000 feet in altitude and when it was directly overhead they could hear a roaring sound much like the roar of a waterfall. The Fredrickson boy said that the object gave off a blue and green beam from the side of it at one point, but this was while his father was engaged in stopping the car. The object faded into the distance rather quickly, they said; having originally come from the east, it disappeared into the west. Fredrickson did not make careful note of the date at the time, but feels it was around the 20th of October and that the experience took place between 10 and 10:30 p.m.

The next individual to become involved in the Wheeler incident was Police Chief Gene Helmer of Elmwood. He had been at home and monitoring the “police scanner” when he heard Wheeler say that he was watching a UFO. Helmer said Wheeler had started to describe the object but the radio went dead. The Sheriffs Department was trying to contact Wheeler by radio also, and Helmer tried to get Wheeler back, but to no avail. Helmer decided he had better go and see what was wrong when Wheeler came back on the radio momentarily and said, “Get somebody up here — I’ve been hit.”

Helmer, who lives about a quarter of a mile from Tuttle Hill, left immediately and when he arrived at the scene, Moots was trying to soothe Mr. Wheeler. Helmer said that he had never seen a man as frightened as Wheeler was. He said further that he had worked with Wheeler under various trying conditions but had never seen him so upset. Another interesting aspect of Chief Helmer’s interview was his description of the condition of the patrol car. Although they had had the car tuned up not long before the incident, it was necessary to replace all points and plugs in the car’s engine. The starter is beginning to act up also, whereas they had had no problem with it prior to the incident.

Wheeler’s wife arrived on the scene at about the time the Police Chief got there, as she had been listening to the police frequency on the Wheeler scanner. Wheeler was taken home and the family doctor, Frank Springer, was called. Mrs. Wheeler took her husband to Springer’s home where he examined Wheeler and gave him a shot to calm him and help him sleep. After they got home, Chief Helmer arrived and questioned Wheeler for about an hour and a half. At about 1 a.m. Mrs. Wheeler called Dr. Springer and said that her husband was still quite upset and Dr. Springer instructed her to take her husband to the hospital.

Wheeler was in the hospital for three days where tests were taken but nothing could be found wrong with him. He stayed for three days, was released, but went back to the hospital for a second stay of 11 days because of headaches he was suffering, as well as nightmares.

Dr. Springer, who has been Wheeler’s physician for 25 years, said that it was unusual for Wheeler to suffer headaches and the headaches he had which prompted him (the Dr.) to re-hospitalize him were continual and severe. Otherwise, however, Wheeler was rational and appeared normal.

One puzzling aspect of this case is the fact that although Wheeler recounted the entire experience to Helmer, who recorded it in writing, he could not recall any of the details of the experience later. – APRO Bulletin – April 1976

Las Vegas, NV – 7/10/1982 – some spelling corrections made: I was studying engineering at UC Irving 1982, family members came to visit me and my sister, who also was living in Irving with her husband Etham that also was studying Engineering at UC Irving, our visitors wanted to go to Las Vegas for the weekend. After we arrived in Las Vegas at the Grand Palace Hotel and checked in. It was around 5 pm. I wanted to look around at the shops in the hotel, I remember going down a floor or two from the lobby where many shops are located. Among them was a barber shop. I enter to cut my hair. The lady that attended me was then in her early 40′s. She asked me to go where they wash people hair and she started washing my hair. Suddenly, I felt that her hand was moving very very fast, almost like a machine in a circle motion above my head. I felt heat above my head and a cone shape energy above my head. I had my eyes closed. Then creatures appeared in my head. They looked like humans but quite different in body size and head type. Their body was small, about two feet, with a round big head with very big eyes. I felt that they were investigating my brain. All of the sudden, I realized their presence in my head and one of them, the female, told the other being that I found out about their presence in my head. After that they disappeared. Then I felt that the heat dissipated and the lady that was washing my head had stopped moving. I also remember that when the lady started to cut my hair, she accidentally got a small cut with the scissors on her finger.

After that I was in state of shock, thinking of what had happened to me. To distract myself, it was about 6 pm, I went to play Black Jack. I remember playing and only winning for almost one hour then I stopped playing and went for a nap.

From that time I developed a great interest in Space and knowing more about UFO’s.

Now I live in Jordan. I am a Mechanical Engineer and business man in the Solar Energy sector.

I watch Science Discovery on TV and that where I found out about your organization and decided to file this report.

Many aliens are already living among us but we haven’t discovered them because they are much smarter that us in that sense that they can change their appearance that make it practically impossible for us humans to detect their presence. Could this theory be possible? – MUFON CMS

California blue whales bounce back from whaling

A conservation success story off the coast of California has seen blue whales thriving in recent years.

Measuring up to 100ft in length and weighing in at more than 200 tons, the blue whale is the largest and heaviest living creature to have ever existed in the entire history of the world.

Unfortunately whaling and other human activities have been responsible for a significant decline in blue whale numbers over the years, reducing their population from hundreds of thousands to only around 5,000 to 12,000 individuals at the turn of the century.

Despite pessimistic forecasts about the future of the species however there has been some good news in recent months thanks to increasing numbers being reported off the coast of California.

Following a ban on whaling by the International Whaling Commission in 1966, blue whale numbers in the North Pacific have slowly risen back to what they were before the practice began. Researchers believe that the current population there is now almost 97% of that indicated by historical records.

While there is still a long way to go to restore blue whale numbers across the world, the news is a welcome breath of fresh air in an age dominated by stories of species decline and indicates that we may yet be able to prevent these giants of the deep from disappearing forever. Is Atlantis in Bolivia?

Bolivia’s famed mirror-like salt flats, Salar de Uyuni, and the neighboring mountain Pampa Auallagas may harbor the fabled lost city of Atlantis, according to author Jim Allen.

Allen is a former aerial-photograph interpreter for the British Army. He has scanned the views of Salar de Uyuni and its surrounding land features, noting key similarities between this region and ancient Greek descriptions of Atlantis.

The video documentary investigates claims that the US government are storing UFO craft and alien bodies at secret bases.  Sky Faction  goes in search of UFO Wreckage and Alien Storage Facilities, one of the few UFO documentaries ever based on Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Some background on Wright Patterson Sir Force Base: Since 1947, the year of the famous Roswell crash, there have been rumors that the US government has stored debris and artifacts from crash flying saucers, and even bodies of the small, alien crew members of the downed space ships. Much of the evidence of these crash retrievals leads us to Dayton, Ohio, and Wright-Patterson’s Hangar-18.

How much of the legend surrounding the famous Wright-Patterson facility is true? Are there still alien beings… even possibly live beings, from other worlds at the infamous base in Dayton, Ohio? Originally called Wilbur Wright Field, the government installation was first opened in 1917 to train military personnel during the first World War. Soon, Fairfield Air Depot was created, adjacent to Wright Field. In 1924, McCook Field test facility was closed, and the Dayton community purchased 4,500 acres which housed the various facilities. This took in the previously leased land of Wright Field, and the Wright and Fairfield facilities were combined into one. The newly created facility was named after the innovators of flight, the Wright Brothers.

On July 6, 1931, the area east of Huffman Dam, which included Wilbur Wright Field, Fairfield Air Depot, and the Huffman Prairie was renamed Patterson Field. This was to honor the memory of Lt. Frank Stuart Patterson. Patterson died in 1918, when a plane he was flying a test in, crashed after its wings separated from the craft. In 1948, the fields were merged under one name, Wright-Patterson AFB. Wright-Patterson is instrumental in testing new weapon technology, along with research and development, education, and many other defense related operations. It is the home of the Air Force Institute of Technology, supporting the Air Force and the Department of Defense. The USAF’s National Air & Space Intelligence Center is also part of Wright-Patterson.

The base was well known for reverse engineering of foreign government aircraft during the Cold War. The base expertise in the disassembly and recreation of MIG fighters has only enriched the theories that alien craft have been studied there. The workforce is estimated at 22,000, giving us an idea of the massive amount of work being done at the base. Wright-Patterson is most well known for its connection to the Roswell crash, although links can be made to other crash retrievals. Several eyewitness accounts of military personnel and even civilian workers who handled debris from the Roswell crash, and saw bodies of creatures not of our world, give us a very plausible Wright-Patterson connection to the study of alien technology and physiology. The same day that the famous Roswell headlines ran in newspapers around the world, there was an enormous amount of activity at the Roswell base. Some debris from the crash, and possibly alien bodies were sent to Ft. Worth, Texas. It is now commonly accepted by researchers that before the Ft. Worth flight, another flight to Wright-Patterson had already taken place, carrying debris and alien bodies. This shipment was secretly stored and studied in the infamous Hangar-18.

Karl Wolf, an Air Force sergeant who was assigned to the National Security Agency, said that mysterious structures were discovered on the far side of the moon when the United States was mapping its surface before the 1969 lunar landing. Those photos too were culled out of the public record.

Mystery Cell-Phone Towers Found Nationwide

There’s been an uproar this week following a Popular Science report that revealed the existence of more than a dozen cell phone-type towers across the United States for which no owner could be located or operator identified.

Business Insider reported the towers “appear to be connecting to nearby phones, bypassing their encryption, and either tapping calls or reading texts.”

The report said the “fake communication towers are undetectable” for most telephone users, but a new and pricey product, called a cryptophone, confirmed a number of “bogus cell phone towers.”

As for those who own and run the towers? Les Goldsmith, an expert in phone technology, said it just isn’t known.

“What we find suspicious is that a lot of these interceptors are right on top of U.S. military bases. So we begin to wonder – are some of them U.S. government interceptors? Or are some of them Chinese interceptors?” he asked in a Popular Science interview. “Whose interceptor is it? Who are they, that’s listening to calls around military bases? Is it just the U.S. military, or are they foreign governments doing it? The point is: we don’t really know whose they are.”

Whatever the source, America has an increasing privacy problem, according to experts in the field.

“The [National Security Agency] revelations of the past year show that we have no privacy,” said John Whitehead, president of the Rutherford Institute, a nonprofit civil liberties organization.

Whitehead is also the author of “A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State.”

“All of our records and communications are being monitored, tracked, uploaded and stored,” he said.

Cheryl Chumley, author of “Police State USA: How Orwell’s Nightmare is Becoming our Reality,” agreed.

“Law enforcement is seeming to suggest that these phony towers are the brainchild of hackers and data thieves – and that means cell phone users around the nation need to realize their so-called private conversations are vulnerable,” she said.

“Privacy as we know it in America is dead. Drone technology is blossoming, the federal government’s already been tapping into private social media messaging, all in the name of security, the private sector is latching on to emerging technology that puts the likes of audio and video recording devices in store mannequins, and now comes a new – and unknown – entity that’s listening in on cell phone conversations.”

Whitehead said the government intelligence “agency would have to know about these towers and their existence, and they have not alerted the public.”

“If these are private interests, it could very well be tied into a government intelligence agency’s programs,” he said. “For example, it has been revealed that the NSA is working openly with Google, and Amazon just built a multi-million dollar intelligence cloud to be shared by all 17 intelligence agencies.”

Whitehead added, “What we once called privacy has clearly been extinguished, and once the drones blanket the skies beginning in 2015, even those who thought they could get off the grid will no longer be able to do so.”

Chumley said it’s “crucial for Americans to understand that putting the technology genie back in the bottle just isn’t going to happen.”

“The best course of action is assume all phone conversations, all social media messaging, and computerized correspondences are being tapped and hacked – because the truth is, they very well could be,” she said.

Radio talk-show host Katherine Albrecht, whose Spychips website tracks privacy invasions, told WND she differs from Whitehead and Chumley.

It’s very important to watch for such developments, she said.

“Is our government doing this? Or is a rogue government doing this to eavesdrop on sensitive communications?” she asked.

She said while neither is good, the idea that a foreign power, such as China or ISIS, setting up communications monitoring locations across the United States is scary.

However, it just confirms her opinion, she said, that if there is an opening for exploiting computer software, it will happen.

“This is not the time to thrown in the towel,” she said. “This is time to roll up the sleeves.”

She’s also been a key promoter of StartMail encrypted email and encrypted search functions on the Web.

According to Business Insider, there were 17 fake cell phone towers found across the U.S.

VentureBeat reported they don’t likely belong to the NSA, because “that agency can tap all it wants without the need for bogus towers.”

BI reported ComputerWorld revealed the fake towers knock the performance of a 4G phone down to that of a 2G, giving away their operations.

The Popular Science report focused on the specialized security telephones now becoming available. As part of that, it revealed that one of the phones had detected “interceptors” across the U.S., in Seattle, Denver, Los Angeles, Dallas, several points in Nevada and Arizona, Chicago, Ohio and other eastern points.

In the report, Goldsmith said: “Interceptor use in the U.S. is much higher than people had anticipated. One of our customers took a road trip from Florida to North Carolina and he found eight different interceptors on that trip. We even found one at South Point Casino in Las Vegas.”

The report said the towers are “radio-equipped computers with software that can use arcane cellular network protocols and defeat the onboard encryption. Whether your phone uses Android or iOS, it also has a second operating system that runs on a part of the phone called a baseband processor. The baseband processor functions as a communications middleman between the phone’s main O.S. and the cell towers. And because chip manufacturers jealously guard details about the baseband O.S., it has been too challenging a target for garden-variety hackers.”

But the report said for governments, such interception is simple.

BI reported: “Whenever he wants to test out his company’s ultra-secure smart phone against an interceptor, Goldsmith drives past a certain government facility in the Nevada desert. (To avoid the attention of the gun-toting counter-intelligence agents in black SUVs who patrol the surrounding roads, he won’t identify the facility to Popular Science). He knows that someone at the facility is running an interceptor …”

A new report from CBS in Chicago said there actually were 19 such “eavesdropping devices across the country, including at least one in Chicago.” – WND

Just when you thought it was safe to go into the water.

A massive, 18-inch crustacean was pulled from the water off a Florida dock leaving state wildlife officials not only shocked but initially scratching their heads.

The scaly creature featuring multiple legs and claws was described as “striking its own tail” when reeled in off a Fort Pierce dock.

The unfazed fisherman “grabbed it by its back like a lobster,” said the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in a Facebook post showcasing its photos Thursday.

It’s believed to be some kind of mantis shrimp.

“These types of crustaceans have eyes on stalks that can move independently of one another,” said the commission.

The fisherman told officials that he released the creature after taking several pictures of it from the end of a fishing line.

Reaction to the jumbo shrimp on the FWC’s Facebook page proved to be a mix of watery mouths and pure disgust.

“Get Out the Garlic Butter !!!!!!!!” wrote Ed Karecki.

“I would probably put a few rounds in it before I drug it on [shore] (it’s an alien),” wrote Aaron Pickern.

“Pretty sure that’s from men in black..” wrote Lauren Ruff.

Sir David Attenborough ‘On the Hunt for the Yeti’

Sir David Attenborough has said he would like to find the Abominable Snowman during his lifetime.

The renowned naturalist and broadcaster was speaking at the launch of UKTV’s Natural Curiosities on Watch when he made the comments about his ambition.

He said there are “one or two” mythical creatures he would like to discover: “I wouldn’t mind finding the Abominable Snowman for a start.

“There is still a mystery about the Abominable Snowman, there are teeth that were found back in the 1920s, huge molar teeth about six times the size of ours, immense things, they were found in a Chinese druggist’s store and undoubtedly are the teeth of a giant ape that must have lived relatively recently itself and that could have been the Abominable Snowman.”

Last year, the 88-year-old said he believed the Abominable Snowman might be real, with previous fossil discoveries pointing at a great ape that stood over 10ft tall.

“It is not impossible that it might exist. If you have walked the Himalayas there are these immense forests that go on for hundreds of square miles which could hold the Yeti,” he said.

“If there are some still alive and you walked near their habitat you can bet that these creatures may be aware of you, but you wouldn’t be aware of them.”

While Attenborough admitted that Yeti may no longer exist, he said there is always a chance: “I don’t say I necessarily believe in it, I’m saying that there is evidence and of course one of the very difficult things ever to do is prove a negative, to prove that it doesn’t exist.”

Earlier this year, scientists Bryan Sykes analysed the DNA of “Yeti hair” samples to find out if the creature exists.

Published in the journal Proceedings of The Royal Society B, he found one sample matched with the DNA of a polar bear dating back to 40,000 years ago, leading him to suggest that the Abominable Snowman could be a hybrid species of polar bear and brown bear that might still exist today.

“If these bears are widely distributed in the Himalayas, they may well contribute to the biological foundation of the Yeti legend,” he said. – Yahoo

UFO mania: Mystery of the Tayos Cave - Legendary Metal Library Found in Ecuador

In what maybe one of the biggest discoveries ever, a team of explorers is claiming that they have found the legendary golden library and other mysterious treasures in the Tayos Cave system in Ecuador.

The team announced that they accidentally found some hidden tunnels that were obviously dug out artificially sometime in the ancient past while inside one of the main chambers.  The team was able to follow one of these tunnels for approximately ½ mile and came upon a large room containing the golden library and various other treasures.

As of right now, the team has only announced their findings onto a radio show and no other announcements have been made so the jury is still out as too whether their claims are completely true.

“See-through” triangle UFO caught on video using night vision

A military combat instructor says he caught a UFO on video that could not be seen by the naked eye. He described the object as a “Slow flying, low, silent, see-through triangle.”

We recently posted a story about UFO sightings from the North Carolina beaches near the town of Wilmington. We received many responses from others in the area who also had sightings. However, one of the most spectacular cases we received is this one from Leland, North Carolina, which is on the northwest side of Wilmington.

This case was sent to us by a field investigator with the North Carolina chapter of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), Kenneth Bates. Bates says he believes the craft caught in this video, “while probably not alien, it is a video of a craft that possesses very advanced technology: (1)the ability to ‘cloak’ itself and (2) a reflective component that gives the illusion of transparency.”

He stresses that he, the director of North Carolina MUFON Lakita Adams, and the witness, all feel that the UFO is most likely some sort of advanced military aircraft with a cloaking device.

According to the investigation report filed by Bates, the witness has been in the military or a military contractor for the last 24 years. Currently he is an instructor for close quarters combat.

The witness, who shall remain anonymous, says he was out trying to get a look at the moon with his telescope when the event took place. He wrote, ” It was, I believe, the night after the full moon in May.” He says he always has his night vision goggle with him, and that night he had a PVS-14 night vision monocular with a 3x magnifier on a tripod attached to a video camera, and a pair of PVS-7D goggles around his neck.

While scanning the night sky with his goggles he spotted what he thought to be a plane coming towards him from the north. It was heading south. He says he estimated the object was at about 5000 feet, which is relatively low. He says he is a skydiver and long distance shooter, so he feels he is a good judge of distances.

He thought it was odd that he was not hearing anything, so he started to record the object. He first caught the object on video when it was at about a 75 degree angle, and was amazed that as it passed over he still could hear no sound.

He was further astounded when he noticed through the monocular that as it passed by stars he could see the stars through the craft.

He wrote, “As I’m watching it, I notice that as it’s passing stars, I could see stars through the craft!!!! I saw stars through the “fuselage” of the craft!!! Later, I confirmed this when I reviewed the video.”

He says he watched the object for about 13 to 14 minutes. At one point he had lost track of it. When he took the goggles off he noticed that he could not see the lights from the craft with his bare eyes. He says, “So either all the lights were very dim and the night vision enhanced them like they were made to do, or the lights were infrared, basically naked to the naked eye.”

It finally flew out of sight to the south. He summarized his sighting, “So to recap: 1: it was silent. 2: it was very slow moving. 3: the lights were either very dim or infrared. 4: I could see through it!!! Adaptive camouflage??? First time I’ve seen the real thing. 5: I couldn’t see it without night vision goggles.”

Bates says he was able to speak to the witness and obtain the video you see at the top of this story. In his report, Bates described the object as a “Triangular craft with five lights in a 2-1-1-1, ( L-R ) one of them flashing.”

Bates found that the witness’ report matched the video perfectly and found him to be “highly credible.”

Bates says three things in particular make this case unique:

1. On two occasions it appears that the craft flies in front of celestial objects but they can be “seen” THROUGH the body of the craft.

2. The witness states the craft was visible only though NV/IR device.

3. The five-light configuration (back to front: 2-1-1-1) is unknown to us (the lead light might be triangular?)

Upon review of the video, the object does seem to be directly overhead, and although you can hear the witness messing with his equipment and whispering to himself in amazement, there is no aircraft noise. As Bates and the witness have stated, as the craft flies in front of stars the stars remain visible. The witness says the craft was triangular shaped, and if that is the case, the stars being seen through the craft would be very strange.

However, if the craft is shaped like a normal airplane or a helicopter, where we expect there to be structure, there may not be. Then again, watching the video with this frame of mind, I looked for a flicker as a wing or skinny bit of fuselage passed in front of the stars. I see no such flicker. The stars seem to be consistent in luminosity.

As for the witness not being able to see the aircraft’s lights with his naked eyes, that is possible using conventional technology. In fact, the military currently uses aircraft lights that can be used in a mode that can only be seen by night vision equipment. One distributor of such lights writes on their website, “When in the covert mode individuals not wearing night vision aids cannot easily detect these light sources, however they are readily recognized through Night Vision Goggles.”

A NASA tech brief states, “Covert lighting on military aircraft is increasingly being implemented on existing airframes…”

While the technology used to make the light visible to night vision equipment and not to the naked eyes is nothing extraordinary, when it comes to running in complete silence, and using cloaking devices, well, that is straight out of Science Fiction.

It has been suggested that the stars appearing to be seen through the craft might be an illusion caused by the night vision optics. Perhaps that is the case. I have reached out to experts on that topic and will update you with their responses.

In the interest of getting this story out to you all I am not waiting before I post this, but be sure to check back for updates. Many of these UFO stories are ever evolving, just like the earlier North Carolina UFO story, which continues to generate responses.

Men In Black: The “Other” Silencers

About three weeks ago, I flew down to Houston, Texas to do a TV shoot for a forthcoming, 90-minute documentary. The subject was the controversy surrounding those mysterious, dark-suited characters that have plagued Ufology for decades. Since I have written extensively on the MIB, I often get asked to do television shows on the subject. Generally, they run smoothly. Not on this occasion, however.

It all kicked-off fine – at least, from my perspective. Things began chronologically, and I began to tell the story of Albert Bender, the brains behind the International Flying Saucer Bureau, who, in the early 1950s, was terrorized into silence by the Men in Black.

I explained that Bender’s MIB were far less like those of the Men in Black movies (with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones), and far more like something befitting the likes of an H.P. Lovecraft novel.

The producer stopped me in mid-sentence (which was the first thing that pissed me off big-time) and asked me what I meant. Well, had he not stuck his nose in, he would have known what I meant!

I explained that although popular-culture generally portrays the MIB as the “secret agents” of government groups, or (as in the aforementioned Smith-Jones films) of super-secret bodies that operate outside of the official government, the real Men in Black were very different.

Less getting jiggy with it, more terrifying the crap out of you

With the cameras rolling, I said that Albert Bender’s MIB did not knock on his door, flash ID cards, and proceed to petrify him into silence, as many might assume. No: they materialized (as in literally materialized) in his attic-based bedroom in Bridgeport, Connecticut, amid nothing less than a foul odor similar to demonic brimstone! On top of that, their eyes shone – in fact, they almost glowed.

The MIB were thin, pale, and  near-vampire-like in appearance. They “spoke” with Bender in telepathic fashion. It was an exchange that provoked intense dizziness, pounding headaches, and both psychological and physical disturbances, including overwhelming exhaustion. It was, I said, as if Bender had been the subject of nothing less than a full-blown demonic attack.

I then proceeded to state how, as someone who writes regularly on the MIB, I get dozens of reports of encounters with the dark-suited ones, per year. I also noted that the overwhelming majority of the cases I receive are of the Bender variety, rather than of the Smith-Jones type.

The producer looked aghast. This was not what he expected or – clearly – wanted to hear. What he wanted from me was a great deal of talk on “government agents,” hidden groups in the military and the intelligence community, and so on. Blah, blah, blah.

Again, I explained that what he was referring to was the pop-culture version of the MIB. If he wanted that, he really should have asked someone else to be on the show.

Then came a question that I most certainly didn’t expect to hear (although, given some of the scummy shows I’ve worked on over the years, I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised). It went something like this: “Could you talk about the Men in Black in general, and avoid things like the paranormal links and the glowing eyes?”

In other words, pretend that the cases of the Bender kind simply didn’t exist!

I replied that no, I could not do that. Whether the producer liked it or liked it not, that’s how it was and how it still is: the MIB are clearly not the agents of government; of any government. They are far, far weirder.

The guy complained that the “secret agent” angle was the one they were pursuing – and the only one they were pursuing. I said, in that case, the show would not just be  inaccurate, but it would be deliberately inaccurate, if I were to kiss TV ass.

I made a joke about how it wasn’t just the MIB that were silencing UFO researchers, but it was now TV companies, too! My sarcasm was not appreciated – not that I gave a damn, though.

I have done a lot of paranormal-themed TV shows in the last twenty years – or thereabouts – but I can state with certainty that, in the last year or two, things have definitely changed for the worse.

More and more, I’m asked to skirt around the facts for the sake of entertainment – something which I won’t do. More and more, I’m asked to avoid bringing up certain things that might impact negatively on the show. Well, that’s too bad: I won’t bow down to that crap either.

How surreal and  ironic things have become: I fly to Houston to do a TV show on Ufology’s most sinister silencers, and I find the TV company trying to silence my words on the silencers!

Although they failed to shut me up, and I told it as I see it – namely, that the MIB are paranormal, and not from “the government” – I don’t doubt that my interview will suffer a far worse fate than anything the MIB could ever dish up. That means, I will be subjected to the editing process and the cutting-room floor…

(N.Morgan) The Bermuda Triangle has been one of those fascinating mysteries that seems to have m ore questions than answers. Intriguing and somewhat daunting, the mystery surrounding the many disappearances of airplanes and other crafts over or around that area has been the subject of movies and books. We will explore some of those questions and look into the mysteries of this foreboding region.Some believe the Triangle is a secret base for alien life, while others believe it is something other worldly all together. The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle, is a loosely defined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

According to the US Navy, the triangle does not exist, and the name is not recognized by the US Board on Geographic Names. Popular culture has attributed various disappearances to the paranormal or activity by extraterrestrial beings. Documented evidence indicates that a significant percentage of the incidents were spurious, inaccurately reported, or embellished by later authors. In a 2013 study, the World Wide Fund for Nature identified the world’s 10 most dangerous waters for shipping, but the Bermuda Triangle was not among them.

The earliest allegation of unusual disappearances in the Bermuda area appeared in a September 17, 1950 article published in The Miami Herald (Associated Press) by Edward Van Winkle Jones. Two years later, Fate magazine published “Sea Mystery at Our Back Door”,a short article by George X. Sand covering the loss of several planes and ships, including the loss of Flight 19, a group of five U.S. Navy TBM Avenger bombers on a training mission. Sand’s article was the first to lay out the now-familiar triangular area where the losses took place. Flight 19 alone would be covered again in the April 1962 issue of American Legion magazine. In it, author Allan W. Eckert wrote that the flight leader had been heard saying, “We are entering white water, nothing seems right. We don’t know where we are, the water is green, no white.” He also wrote that officials at the Navy board of inquiry stated that the planes “flew off to Mars.”Sand’s article was the first to suggest a supernatural element to the Flight 19 incident. In the February 1964 issue of Argosy, Vincent Gaddis’ article “The Deadly Bermuda Triangle” argued that Flight 19 and other disappearances were part of a pattern of strange events in the region.The next year, Gaddis expanded this article into a book, Invisible Horizons.

Others would follow with their own works, elaborating on Gaddis’ ideas: John Wallace Spencer (Limbo of the Lost, 1969, repr. 1973); Charles Berlitz (The Bermuda Triangle, 1974);Richard Winer (The Devil’s Triangle, 1974), and many others, all keeping to some of the same supernatural elements outlined by Eckert.

Famous chemist Ronald Breslow PhD has recently released a paper explaining the possibility that an ancient advanced Reptilian civilizations exists. The paper was published by the American Chemical Society.

In the report, noted scientist Ronald Breslow, Ph.D., discusses the century-old mystery of why the building blocks of terrestrial amino acids (which make up proteins), sugars, and the genetic materials DNA and RNA exist mainly in one orientation or shape. There are two possible orientations, left and right, which mirror each other in the same way as hands. This is known as "chirality." 

In order for life to arise, proteins, for instance, must contain only one chiral form of amino acids, left or right. With the exception of a few bacteria, amino acids in all life on Earth have the left-handed orientation. Most sugars have a right-handed orientation. How did that so-called homochirality, the predominance of one chiral form, happen? 

Breslow describes evidence supporting the idea that the unusual amino acids carried to a lifeless Earth by meteorites about 4 billion years ago set the pattern for normal amino acids with the L-geometry, the kind in terrestial proteins, and how those could lead to D-sugars of the kind in DNA. 

“Of course,” Breslow says, “showing that it could have happened this way is not the same as showing that it did.” He adds: “An implication from this work is that elsewhere in the universe there could be life forms based on D-amino acids and L-sugars. Such life forms could well be advanced versions of dinosaurs, if mammals did not have the good fortune to have the dinosaurs wiped out by an asteroidal collision, as on Earth. We would be better off not meeting them.” 

The Dinosauroid Hypothesis (a.k.a. Sapient Dinosaurs)

"In 1982, Dale Russell, then curator of vertebrate fossils at the National Museum of Canada in Ottawa, conjectured a possible evolutionary path for Troodon, if it not had perished in the K/T extinction event 65 million years ago, suggesting that it could have evolved into intelligent beings similar in body plan to humans.  

Over geologic time, Russell noted that there had been a steady increase in the encephalization quotient or EQ (the relative brain weight when compared to other species with the same body weight) among the dinosaurs.  

Russell had discovered the first Troodontid skull, and noted that, while its EQ was low compared to humans, it was six times higher than that of other dinosaurs. Russell suggested that if the trend in Troodon evolution had continued to the present, its brain case could by now measure 1,100 cm3; comparable to that of a human. 

Troodontids had semi-manipulative fingers, able to grasp and hold objects to a certain degree, and binocular vision. Russell proposed that his "Dinosauroid", like members of the troodontid family, would have had large eyes and three fingers on each hand, one of which would have been partially opposed. Russell also speculated that the "Dinosauroid" would have had a tootheless beak.  

As with most modern reptiles (and birds), he conceived of its genitalia as internal. Russell speculated that it would have required a navel, as a placenta aids the development of a large brain case. However, it would not have possessed mammary glands, and would have fed its young, as some birds do, on regurgitated food. More Supporters of the "Sapient Dinosaurs" Theory

(1977) Aritsune Toyota - "A Japanese science fiction writer was one of the earliest proposers of the idea of sapient dinosaurs. Toyota was intrigued by the theory of the "Warm-blooded Deinonychus" (John Ostrom, 1964) and developed the idea that some kinds of dinosaurs would have evolved to acquire intelligence.  

He referred to The Hot-blooded Dinosaurs (Desmond, Adrian J., 1975, Rosemarie Buckman, Oxfordshire) and constructed a theoretical model of what they might have been like. He first published his ideas as science fiction in the novel Kako no kageri (A shadow of the past) in 1977. In the story he described them as reptilian humanoids who use bone tools for hunting, speak a primitive language, and build a rudimentary society. The creature was supposed to have evolved from a dinosaur similar to dromaeosaurus. 

A year later, Toyota received advice from Japanese zoologist Tatsuo Saneyoshi, and began striving for more zoological authenticity on details. He then authored Zoku jikanhō keikaku (Prospectus　for the spatiotemporal　cannon part 2). (1978) Harry Jerison - "American psychologist Harry Jerison suggested the possibility of sapient dinosaurs. In 1978, he gave a presentation titled "Smart dinosaurs and comparative psychology", at a meeting of the American Psychological Association. According to his speech, dromiceiomimus supposedly could have evolved into a highly intelligent species like human beings."
