Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.
This is our new dog Kira, a cross between a water dog and a Podenko. She has been with us since February 7, 2024 and is busy winning our hearts. She is a sweet, affectionate dog who quickly adapted to us within a week. She is very quick and curious, a very different dog than Noleke.

Five scary creatures, monsters and beings that might visit you tonight, from malevolent shadow people to curious aliens.
Locking your bedroom door won’t help… Presenting five terrifying creatures, monsters and aliens that prefer to visit at night, including shadow people, the shadowman and the Hat Man; the mare, alp and nightmare demons of folklore; machine elves and clockwork elves; the horrifying Cherokee witch / wizard known as the Raven Mocker; and of course extraterrestrial aliens visitors. Some have been caught on tape, but are they real or caused by disorders like sleep paralysis and fueled by scary stories and creepypasta?
1. Shadow People
A shadow person (also known as a shadow figure, shadow being or black mass) is the perception of a patch of shadow as a living, humanoid figure, particularly as interpreted by believers in the supernatural as the presence of a malevolent entity.
The Coast to Coast AM late night radio talk show helped popularize modern beliefs in shadow people. The first time the topic of shadow people was discussed at length on the show was April 12, 2001 when host Art Bell interviewed Thunder Strikes. During the show, listeners were encouraged to submit drawings of shadow people that they had seen and a large number of these drawings were immediately shared publicly on the website. Later that year, on October 1, 2001, Heidi Hollis published a book on the topic of shadow people.
The Raven Mocker, or ka’lanu ahkyeli’ski, is an evil being from Cherokee mythology who robs the old, sick and dying of their lives. Normally appearing as old, withered men and women, when they hunt a victim they take to the air in a fiery shape, and with the sounds of a raven’s cry and a strong wind. After tormenting and killing their victim by slitting the victim’s head they consume his heart (doing so without leaving a mark on the victim’s skin), and add a year to their life for every year that the slain would have still lived. Much like a banshee, the sound of a raven mocker means that someone will soon die.
Raven mockers are normally invisible when feeding, but those with strong medicine can not only spot them but cause them to die within seven days. Medicine men will sometimes stand guard over the dying to prevent raven mockers from stealing the heart of the afflicted.
Raven mockers are feared and envied by the other witches of Cherokee folklore, and their bodies may be abused by said witches after death. He is the Angel of Death in such a way he was menacing.
3. MARE
A mare or nightmare is an evil spirit or goblin in Germanic folklore which rides on people’s chests while they sleep, bringing on bad dreams (or “nightmares”). The mare is often similar to the mythical creatures succubus and incubus, and was likely inspired by sleep paralysis.
Machine elves are faceless multi-dimensional beings that appear machine like.
5. ALIENS
The terms alien abduction or abduction phenomenon describe “subjectively real memories of being taken secretly against one’s will by apparently nonhuman entities and subjected to complex physical and psychological procedures”.[ People claiming to have been abducted are usually called "abductees" or "experiencers".
Due to a paucity of objective physical evidence, most scientists and mental health professionals dismiss the phenomenon as "deception, suggestibility (fantasy-proneness, hypnotizability, false memory syndrome), personality, sleep paralysis, psychopathology, psychodynamics [and] environmental factors”. Skeptic Robert Sheaffer sees similarity between the aliens depicted in early science fiction films, in particular, Invaders From Mars, and some of those reported to have actually abducted people.

The 46 second CCTV clip, uploaded on YouTube, shows a bright, white object hurtling through the air at breakneck pace on an industrial site in Prokopyevsky, Russia.
The eerie clip video has been watched more than 38,000 times and has attracted no fewer than 56 comments from Ufologists, all eager to try to explain the bizarre phenomenon.
A poster known as Russell Davies from Shropshire is among them.
He wrote: “I see up to 12 of these a day in Shrewsbury UK, you can call them, they respond to telepathic communication.
“They generally appear at night in order to evade detection by a paranoid and largely hostile military.
“They are probes sent out from ET mother-ships, and are here simply to catalogue the state of the biosphere-earth and even to monitir human emotions, as well as behaviour.”
Another poster, Sean Boice, wrote: “Two years ago, my friends and I saw a orb like this, it moved left and right real quick, was egg shaped, and had colors like plasma all over it.
“About 20 minutes into watching it, two fighter jets flew over with a third one joining them in formation, then flew towards the orbs, did a circle, and then left.”
Michael Tellinger shows off what could be one of the best pieces of evidence that there were giants on Earth a long, long time ago. Geologists have marvelled at this giant foot print in rough granite, about 4 feet long. Some still say that it is a natural erosion pattern.
Personally I find that suggestion highy improbable for various reasons that I will not go into here. Prof. Pieter Wagener from UPE, suggests that “there is a higher probability of little green men arriving from space and licking it out with their tongues, than being created by natural erosion”.
It is located in South Africa, near the town of Mpaluzi, close to the Swaziland border. It is estimated to be between 200 million and 3 Billion years old because of our current understanding of the formation of granites in Earth’s history. This dating immediately causes great debate and argument – so I urge you to keep your mind open and focused on the evidence.
This amazing footprint in granite was discovered in 1912 by a hunter called Stoffel Coetzee, while hunting in the remote area. At the time this was a deeply remote part of South Africa known as the Eastern Transvaal, teeming with wild life, including antelope and lions. It remains in the same condition as it was when first discovered and the possibility that this was a carved hoax is extremely low because of its remote location. Even today, it is difficult to find.
The real mystery is how this amazing phenomenon occured – I have no idea – but here it is and we cannot wish it away.
YES – It is granite – it is a well recognised geological part of South Africa and recorded on all geological maps – that is why this footprint is such an incredible mystery. It can be desribed as a “phenocrystic” granite, OR coarse porphyritic granite, that underwent several different stages of cooling. The result being an interesting mixture of large and small granules. This is why granite companies are keen to mine this area for granite because it will look really “pretty” when polished. In the official Geology Of South Africa, this outcrop is called Mpuluzi Batholith (Granite) and the official dating of this rock produced dates of around 3,1 billion years.
A real mystery that needs close scientific examination.
Project HIBAL - the answer to Westall? - files destroyed
Hi all, Introduction: A research project I conducted a little while ago, concerned Project HIBAL, which launched high altitude balloons from 1960 onwards from Mildura, and several other Australian locations. In previous posts, I provided details of the HIBAL program, and suggested these very large balloons might explain some UAP sightings from that era. In addition, while conducting a cold case investigation of the 6 April 1966, Westall case, I began to look for a Project which involved the former Australian Department of Supply (DOS) (Westall researcher Shane Ryan was contacted by the family of a former DOS employee who maintained their father knew the solution to Westall); the American government (some Westall witnesses reported people wearing what some professionals have described as American uniforms); a light aircraft (Westall witnesses maintained several light aircraft circled the UAP); and some form of flying object, which could have come down near Westall High School. This cold case investigation brought me right back to Project HIBAL! These very large balloons lifted a heavy payload high above the Earth. A "chase" aircraft followed each flight, and "cut down" the balloon via radio signal. The payload (weighing about 200kgs) then dropped to Earth, below a 12m diameter parachute, taking an hour to get to the ground. The balloon went on to land elsewhere. Chase vehicles with DOS personnel then retrieved the payload.
Balloons on the loose: HIBAL flights in 1966 were launched from Mildura, and some payloads were retrieved as far away as the Eyre Peninsular in South Australia; Nowra, NSW; Canberra, ACT; and close to Melbourne (in August 1966.) My research unearthed previously unseen Bureau of Meteorology and Department of External Affairs files, in the National Archives of Australia. I also located and interviewed five former DOS employees, who had all worked on the HIBAL program.
A working hypothesis: As a result of my intensive research, I developed a working hypothesis. In summary, it was "Could a Project HIBAL balloon's payload and 12 metre parachute, and subsequent retrieval of the payload by a ground crew, have caused the Westall incident?" There was a HIBAL balloon scheduled for launch on 5 April 1966, flight 292 of the series. Flights were quite often delayed by a day due to too strong winds on proposed launch dates. The Westall incident occurred on 6 April 1966. As part of my research, I located the logbook of the pilot of the chase plane (now deceased). Strangely, there was a logbook entry for flight 291 and one for flight 293, but no entry for flight 292!
Files: I located a National Archives of Australia file series on RecordSearch, namely MP1472/25, which was a series held by the Controller of the Section of DOS, responsible for the Department's part of the joint US Atomic Energy Commission (the American connection I was after) and DOS HIBAL program. From the Bureau of Meteorology HIBAL files I had a DOS HIBAL program file reference, so I knew that the MP1472/25 file series held the DOS HIBAL files. I inquired at the National Archives of Australia (NAA) about the present location of the file series MP1472/25? The recent NAA response to me informed me that the file series "...was destroyed by the controlling agency CA46 Department of Defence in 1996. There are no item lists for this series in our finding records." So, any hope of finding official information on flight 292, and where it came to ground, from DOS files, is gone.
Formeremployees: In addition, none of the former Department of Supply employees I interviewed was able to tell me what happened to flight 292. I posed the question, could the 5 April 1966 payload have come down in Melbourne, to one of the former DOS employees, who sometimes flew in the chase plane. His response was that he wouldn't be surprised if one had! So, unfortunately, I now have no way of testing my hypothesis that the 6 April 1966 Westall incident was caused by the landing and retrieval of the payload of HIBAL flight 292. I must, for the sake of transparency, let blog readers know that I have provided details of my HIBAL hypothesis to key Westall researcher, Shane Ryan, who does not support the hypothesis. I have also provided details to Westall documentary film maker Rosie Jones, and she doubts that it is the answer to the Westall incident. I welcome comments from blog readers, particularly former DOS employees or their families; or former members of the US Atomic Energy Commission HIBAL program; or indeed any of the Australian "official" Westall investigation team, which Westall witnesses report "silenced" witnesses to the event.

CRASHED ALIEN DISC AND HITLER’S SS SUMMER 1937 ……. CZERNICA GERMANY [ NOW TERRITORY OF POLAND ]
“A multicolored ball or globe-shaped UFO was seen to fall in a field (or near a field) belonging to Eva Braun’s parents (this was the future mistress of Adolph Hitler) The area was cordoned off by SS-troops from the town of Jelenia Gora (called Hirschberg at the time).” “The crashed disk was transported to the Hirschberg SS base and kept under very strong guard and super top security. The disk was 7.6 meter in diameter and 3.8 meters high. It consisted of a large “overwhelming” dome, encircled by a narrow outer rim, and smaller flat dome on the bottom with a flat lower section. The top of the dome was also flat and large. The craft had 6 oval-shaped structures resembling portholes but not transparent, or devices that radiated some type of light, located near the base of the upper dome. On the lower surface of the outer rim the craft had 12 lights. The color of the disk was a dull metal gray. There was an insignia on the dome resembling the letter “T” with 2 props on its sides. The entrance into the disk was found on the top of the upper dome. The general shape of the disk resembled that of a German soldier’s helmet with a small protrusion on the bottom.” “Inside the circular cabin were 3 small seats, there were control panels around the dome and 3 alien beings were found: one was dead, the other two were alive. One of the live aliens died soon after the crash, and the second live alien remained in custody for about 1.5 months and then died. The aliens were small dwarfs, about 0.9-1.0m in height, with large hairless pear-shaped heads, small dystrophic looking bodies, long narrow hands with 4 fingers, grayish skin and large dark slanted eyes.” “The Germans were afraid to move the disk to a more distant location, out of apprehension that it might explode during a long trip during transportation. So, a research laboratory had to be constructed nearby. From Hirschberg the disk was removed to a more secured underground location, which most likely, was called “Der Riese” a Nazi complex in the nearby Gory Sowie mountains (now in southwest Poland), which was also a site being used for excavating for uranium ore. This complex had an extensive network of underground hangars, connected by tunnels. The bodies of the occupants and the living extraterrestrial were also moved into this complex. The alien that lived for a little bit over a month apparently supplied the Germans with some type of information and was desperately asking the Nazi medical doctors for help, but they could not help him because of the different biological structure of his body. The alien died from an unknown illness.” “The origin of the crashed craft was apparently the double star system RA known on earth as 78 mu-1, Cygni, 73.1 light years in distance. Among the information given to the Germans by the surviving alien was that they had built underground bases in the polar region of the Canadian Northern Territories maybe Baffin Island. This data was supplied to Adolph Hitler himself. But no substantial technical data was in fact provided by the alien that could had help Nazi scientists to cope with the alien technology, despite their desperate attempt to obtain such data. The surviving alien also informed the Germans that the crashed was caused by some kind of technical malfunction. The alien was kept and interrogated at the same underground installation as the disk.” “Adolph Hitler and some other top Nazi figures including Werner Von Braun and Air Marshall Hermann Goring inspected the crashed disk, the alien bodies and consulted Nazi scientists in an attempt to use the object as a super secret weapon. Among those scientist involved in investigating the crashed disc were, Max Von Laue, Otto Hahn (who discovered nuclear fusion) and Werner Heisenberg. Fortunately (and unfortunately for the Nazis) the alien technology was extremely sophisticated and difficult to understand. The disc indeed inspired some Nazi scientists to construct different models of disc-shaped planes and the so-called flying bombs.” “This crash and possession of the extraterrestrial spacecraft was one of the factors that possibly inspired Hitler with extreme self-confidence to start World War II, hoping to use the craft as a sort of super weapon that would eventually help him conquer the world. Because of the approaching Soviet troops the whole underground complex was blown up, and the disk and the alien bodies was buried in one of the underground tunnels, the entrance was sealed with numerous huge rocks. It is apparently still there, unbeknownst to the Polish Government. The disk apparently still emanates radiation from its power plant, but because of the nearby uranium mines this source of radiation remains undetected.”
(N.Morgan) The ancient Greek tomb of Amphipolis has sparked intense interest recently due to the large burial mound found beneath it and it has captured the imagination of the public and the archeology world alike. The public is now imploring local politicians to begin tours of the ancient, beautiful site. The Culture Ministry appealed Thursday for “understanding” while the Amphipolis excavation proceeds. The partially uncovered tomb from the end of Greek warrior-king Alexander the Great’s reign, which was found inside the mound, has sparked intense media interest amid wild speculation that it may contain rich treasures or the bones of an ancient celebrity. Alexander inherited the throne of Macedonia, in northern Greece, from where he set off to conquer a vast empire reaching India. He died in 323 B.C. at age 33 and was buried in Egypt – although the precise location of his grave is one of the enduring mysteries of archaeology. Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras has already visited the Amphipolis excavation and state TV daily leads news bulletins with incremental developments about the dig.
So far, archaeologists have uncovered part of the late 4th-century B.C. tomb’s entrance, which has two large marble sphinxes placed on a lintel just under the barrel-vaulted roof. Underneath lies the doorway, still covered in earth, with traces of painted plaster decoration. “It’s astonishing, the biggest tomb we have found in Greece so far,” said archaeologist Chryssoula Paliadelli, an expert on the period who is not involved in the excavation. “It clearly shows the wealth that allowed construction of what was, at the time, a hugely costly monument.” But the tomb may well have been looted hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Part of a stone wall that blocked off the subterranean entrance is missing, while the sphinxes – originally two meters (6 feet) high – lack heads and wings. Near the sphinxes, excavators have found fragments of a large marble lion that originally capped the mound, which indicates the site was severely damaged and dug up in later antiquity.
Nobody knows yet who the mound was built for. Alexander’s mother, widow, son, brother and sister-in-law were all murdered in separate attacks in the Amphipolis area during the brutal power struggles that followed his death. However, Macedonian royals were traditionally buried at Aegae, further to the west, where rich, unplundered graves excavated in the late 1970s have been identified as those of Alexander’s father, Philip II, and a slain son. Older research has tentatively linked the lion statue, which was removed during Roman times and discovered a century ago some 5 kilometers (3 miles) away, with Laomedon, one of Alexander’s military commanders; his admiral, Nearchos, was a citizen of Amphipolis. “It’s all speculation until we see the inside (of the tomb)” said Michalis Tiverios, a professor of archaeology at the University of Thessaloniki. The excavation is expected to last at least another few weeks.
What are cylinder or cigar shaped UFO’s? These flying enigmas have baffled mankind for at least several centuries. They lack any obvious aerodynamic features such as wings and stabilizers to keep them aloft. Yet they perform incredible manoeuvres at speed that our best pilots can not duplicate.
What technology is behind the propulsion and guidance systems of these elongated craft?
What kind of mind designs them? Are they our invention? A product of runaway black projects with nearly unlimited budgets.
Eight beachcombers thought fame & fortune awaited them when they found a monstrous carcass washed ashore near Palermo, Italy, July 2,1989. “It was at least 100ft long, snake-like, & had a huge head & a wide mouth full of vicious, needle-like teeth.”
Excitement turned sour when “military types showed up, confiscated our cameras & made us leave.” Later, no trace of it could be found, & nothing appeared in the media. This pic is the only apparent survivor.
Where do I even start? I’m exhausted, I have bags under my eyes and I feel like I’m about to fall over. Last night my roommate went out around 8PM with a guy, and I climbed up to bed at 10PM, making sure I locked the front and back doors. I did my ritual, and got situated in bed, then I heard the bathroom door downstairs close. I figured my roommate was home so I brushed it off, then I heard a soft voice say “no” and heavy footsteps on the bottom of the stairs…. So I texted her, asking if she was home. Then the footsteps were in my hall and I could hear the voice again, “no, no, no” over and over again, it sounded like a little kid. I texted her two more times before I got a response, that kept me up and watching my door for my life. She wasn’t home….. The heavy footsteps came to my door around 11, and I could hear a faint scratching, followed by a whispering child’s voice, “no, no, no” I flipped the f**k out then, hid under my blanket like a child and cuddled with my cat…. Her tail was bushed up, as if she angry….
Sure enough daylight broke and the noises stopped, I looked out Ito the hall…. Her door was closed when I went to bed last night…. It’s wide open… Now she’s sending me weird messages…. Saying it’s a spirit from her dreams… I didn’t know how to respond when she said no…. So I waited til this morning to reply….
GLASTONBURY, CT — It was a creature that let out “blood curdling yells at night.” It was described as witnesses who saw it as a large dog with a cat-like face. Small dogs disappeared or were found mutilated along with goats and sheep.
And so the legend of the “Glastonbury Glawackus” began.
It was the middle of a cold, snowy winter in 1939 when The Hartford Courant ran a story of a hunting party that went into the wilds of Glastonbury in search of the creature. It was a headline writer’s dream as the newspaper’s front page read: “Guffaws of Glastonbury Glawackus Greet Gloomy Gang Of Gunners.” The search party turned up nothing.
“The Glawackus was still loose in the snow-covered hills of Glastonbury Tuesday night, victor over the wiles of the best huntsmen in these parts,” read the January 18, 1939 article. “Until they’re sure, the scientific term Glawackus will be used. The name come from Glastonbury, its habitat, and from wacky, to describe the way everyone feels about the whole thing. The ending makes it sound Latin and authentic.”
The Courant printed a map showing the area of the three big Glawackus hunts and pinpointing bits of “Glawackiana” – areas where dogs and other domestic animals killed or mauled; areas Glawackus heard howling; areas where Glawackus was seen and “dogs chased something” locations.
The sightings and hunts were confined to the wilderness portion of southern and eastern parts of town. Some believed the creature was a mountain lion that escaped from a Manchester, Vermont zoo after the great hurricane of 1938.
“Because the animal is out of its native habitat, the animal is probably restless,” warden Charles Allshouse said. “and might move on and be reported some distance away in a short time. However, it will probably stay around as long as there are enough rabbits to meet the needs of a mountain lion’s appetite.”
Others thought the creature may be a lynx.
“I never saw a glawackus,” said a New Britain policeman in a Jan. 23 article. “but I’ll bet that animal over there in Glastonbury isn’t one. I’ll bet it’s a lynx. Four years ago there were two lynx off here in the Pinnacle Mountains. They were mates and nobody caught or killed them. They can have a whole family around these parts by now.”
The lone hunter to see the creature was Hartfordite William F. Bonvouloir in the wilderness near Diamond Lake when a “beautiful black creature about three feet long with a tail two feet long leap out of the scrubwood in front of them.”
“Bonvouloir brought up his shotgun and cut loose with the right barrel,” according to the Courant article. “The 12-gauge charge bit into a rotted tree stump as the startled cat began zipzagging through the underbrush.” A second shot misfired as the cat “kicked back sprays of snow as it fled into a stretch of green cedars.”
But once a legend is born, it was hard to resist the pull of a myth. There was a community dance called the Glawackus Ball. An article ran about children making a Glawackus-man in the snow. Hunting clubs made Glawackus targets for members to shoot. Even local poets were inspired.

The fervor began to die down when a large brown dog was killed in July by hunters. The headline from July 7, 1939 read “Mysterious Glawackus Is No More.” The dog was taken in a baited bear trap, shot and buried in an unmarked grave.
“In a few days the beast was caught and bullets ended its suffering,” read the article. “A few persons witnessed the incident and they decided to bury the animal and say no more about it.”
“After that, Glawackus was seen no more and, one by one,” read a 1958 article marking the 20th anniversary, “Glawackus men admitted that the dog probably was the terrible monster – well, maybe, perhaps. Still others waited until Middletown farmers one night reported seeing a “strange beast passing through. That, they said, must have been him.”
The bottom line? The legend of the Glawackus sold newspapers and brought some excitement to a sleepy town during a long winter.
“It relieved the monotony of a dreary winter,” a July 8 editorial noted. “It provided small talk for uncounted dinner tables just as the subject of the hurricane began to pall. It got any number of ordinarily slothful individuals into the open air…Now it is dead, but if one knows Glastonbury, it will rise again. It was too useful to remain long buried.” – Courant
An unexplained sound has permeated the water from one end of the Pacific to the other since 1991. What could it be?
It isn’t whales or ship vibrations or any of the other usual suspects making this noise in the ocean. In 1991, scientists first detected what has become known as the Upsweep.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) describes Upsweep: “It consists of a long train of narrow-band upsweeping sounds of several seconds duration each.” It’s been detected from one end of the Pacific to the other, a huge range.
The US Navy had never seen this signal before in its decades of listening under the waves, according to a 2002 New Scientist article. Upsweep was heard straight across the Pacific, ruling out certain localized or small-scale sources.
The sound persisted, with a peak in strength in 1994. Since then, it has been subsiding, though it remains audible, reports the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). It seems to peak in the spring and fall. This could be related to the source of the sound, or it may simply be that the sound travels better in the aquatic environment at these times for whatever reason, says NOAA.
The sound is uniform overall, unlike the varied sounds of most volcanic activity and unlike the varied intonations of whale communications. But Emile Okal of Northwestern University in Chicago and Jacques Talandier, formerly with the French Atomic Energy Agency, suggested a particular type of volcanic activity that may be the cause.
In 1996, they hypothesized that it may be the sound of seawater coming into contact with a large pool of lava, explained New Scientist. They used seismometers to trace where the sound may be coming from, concluding that it may originate in the remote southern Pacific. NOAA states that the source may be in this region, at the location of inferred volcanic seismicity. “But,” notes NOAA, “the origin of the sound is unresolved.”
Another theory was explained by Christopher Fox, who studied the sounds as director of NOAA’s acoustic monitoring project. The movement of water can make noise like the movement of wind and currents may be responsible.
Until the mystery is solved, many theories will continue to be excite human curiosity—could it be an unknown species of sea creature? Could it be a geological oddity or undiscovered phenomenon? Some explanations are more likely than others, but with 95 percent of the world’s oceans unexplored by humans, the possibility of discovering something new is ever-present.
Mysterious noises of the deep have perplexed scientists before, but were eventually explained. For example, the Bloop was a loud, ultra-low frequency sound heard in 1997 across some 3,000 miles of the Pacific. Today on Thursday while outside on our deck at home, I had this feeling once again inside me. Even a premonition to even get my wife’s glasses from inside the house. Reason being so I could point out another UFO to her should I spot one. Suppose being on holidays can do that to a person on a nice day? While chatting with her her about twenty minutes facing west, I looked up and was shocked once again or least surprised. Up very high, I could see something strange moving from the west to east; maybe three to five thousand feet – moving very slowly – 20- 30 mph ? It appeared to be best described as a long, white unidentified flying object. As I watched to confirm its presence nearly moving towards above our home, bringing attention to my wife saying, ‘ look another UFO up there.‘
Almost sticking out like a sore thumb – glistening white and also appearing to change shape. She replied hardly looking up, ‘It’s probably the moon,’ and looked back down on her phone. With that answer confirmed – of a closed-minded result confirmation, I then snapped away trying to capture this long, white type of UFO. It did appear to intensely glisten as it was nearly over the house – the sun rays reflection I suspect.
After taking 15 pictures trying to capture it on film for two minutes, only to capture the best of it on six pictures in the bunch, 11:33-11:35, I had lost sight of object travelling directly over the house heading east. I then raced to the backyard to further view it. Now I had further lost sight of it from the backyard, looking around for three – four minutes blocking the sun with the house, I noticed this small brilliant white ‘very‘ high/fast Lear jet type come across from the south heading north’ I mean fast.
Though has not been the first time seeing that type of aircraft before or after a UFO sighting in memory. Honesty once again in the truth of this matter, all of this started from a thought to witness this bizarre sighting above. So I can only conclude there is a form of contact being observed here. Added to the photographic evidence giving confirmation of something high above deemed as totally unknown and bizarre. There appears to be different shapes in the mix photographed here in southwest Oshawa near Lake Ontario. This has been my fifth daylight UFO sighting for 2014; close to equal number of night timers in stats. One cannot dismiss these facts when looking up that something is up above us ALL. At some point near 5400 BCE, settlers in southern Mesopotamia—in what would now be called southeastern Iraq—founded Eridu, which historians now generally regard as the world’s first city. It had all the things we ordinarily associate with an ancient city: temples, administrative buildings, housing, agriculture, markets, art, and, of course, walls to keep out wild animals and bandits.
But here’s the funny thing: we have absolutely no idea where the Sumerians acquired their language, or what they might have looked like. Their language, which we call Sumerian, was a linguistic isolate—it’s the oldest known written language on Earth, and any languages it might have derived from or developed alongside have been lost to time. The Sumerian people were also, it can be reasoned, ethnically isolated; referring to themselves as the sag gigga (“black-headed people”), they appear to have had no concept of race. And figuring out what their ethnic identity might have been based on their art is a doomed effort, because their art was so stylized that a good case could be made that it portrays people of any ethnicity.
Culturally, they’re often linked to the Ma’dan (Marsh Arabs) who still live in southern Iraq. But the idea that the Ma’dan are ethnically Sumerian seems a bit unlikely, as the Sumerian language was not Semitic and the Akkadian conquests of 2334 BCE disrupted the ethnic and cultural isolation of the Sumerian people. By about 2000 BCE, the Sumerians were speaking Akkadian and the Sumerian and Akkadian civilizations were regarded as a single people; there is no evidence in any extant texts that they were discouraged from intermarrying, so we can reasonably assume that it was normal to do so. Given that fact, and the 4,000 years of history between then and now, it seems unlikely that anyone living today has more than a tiny amount of Sumerian ancestry.
Does this mean that we’ll never know how the Sumerian language developed, or where the Sumerians originally came from? Probably, but there are some ways we might find out: an older extant text from the region, written in a proto-Sumerian language, might connect Sumerian with languages that currently seem unrelated. And if any reasonably well-preserved Sumerian bones can be found (which isn’t completely implausible; scientists have successfully sequenced 400,000-year-old human DNA), DNA testing could tell us their ethnic origin. Then again, it’s possible—and, given how little we know about the ancient world, perhaps even probable—that these discoveries will only deepen the mystery.
Astronauts Just Found Life In Outer Space — And Scientists Aren’t Sure How It Got There Image Credit: AP
The news: Russian cosmonauts have discovered something remarkable clinging to the outside of the International Space Station: living organisms.
The microscopic creatures appeared during a space walk intended to clean the vessel’s surface, and were allegedly identified — incredibly — as a type of sea plankton. This is big: According to Sploid, Russian scientists are both “shocked by [the] discovery and can’t really explain how [it] is possible.”
“Results of the experiment are absolutely unique,” Russian ISS Orbital Mission Chief Vladimir Solovyev told the ITAR-TASS News Agency. “This should be studied further.”
Life in space: While not exactly alien life forms, experts are having trouble explaining how the plankton ended up on the station and survived — possibly even grew and multiplied — 205 miles above Earth’s surface.
Some claim they were carried there from the ocean by “uplifting air currents,” according to Sploid. The Mirrorreports the plankton are atypical for Baikanour, Kazakhstan, where the station initially launched, meaning it’s unlikely they were on its hull before it took off.

Sploid‘s Jesus Díaz goes a step further: He suggests their appearance lends credence to the theory that “organic life may have spread across space traveling on comets and asteroids.”
This is less far-fetched than it seems: In 2012, Motherboard aired a documentary short about tardigrades — ”minuscule eight-legged creatures that can withstand extreme conditions, including the vacuum of space,” according to the Atlantic.
Touted as the “first animal to survive in space,” this hardy microorganism boasts limbs, “a mouth, a digestive tract … muscles” and a nervous system,” according tothe film. Its ability to endure such harsh conditions has led scientists to ponder whether it did, in fact, originate in space.
In other words: An alien.
So let your imagination run wild. If tardigrades, sea plankton and other tiny organisms can survive unsheltered in the vast expanses of space, who’s to say their relatives — and relatives’ descendants — never populated or evolved on other worlds the same way life on Earth came about.
Scientists have much to learn about the universe, but such findings mark exciting developments in the ongoing search for extra-terrestrial life.

Update about the Houston sighting:
Owing to the unclear skies, the image is not so clear, but the UFO the witness spotted was visible enough. Among the series of images that were posted online, one photo shows a circular object hovering in the skies. Among the rest, only an object can be seen against the backdrop of dark clouds. One more upload shows a glowing circle which is clear enough.
With various accounts of the sighting, everyone wondered about what the unidentified object in the sky might be. Following this, the Vice President for astronomy at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, Dr. Carolyn Sumners stated that they were exploring all possible explanations about what the sighting would have been. This way, they can conclude on what the sighted object actually was.
Dr. Carolyn Sumners also added that if more people had sighted the circular object that day, views of the UFO from different angles could be obtained, thereby giving a clear picture and information about what the object actually was. The rough weather in Houston skies that night could be a reason why onlookers were able to view the UFO that night.
All the sightings that had been captured in this span have been posted on YouTube and are gaining views from all over the world. Many UFO researchers are still wondering about what the sighting in this span might have been, but barely have any answers for the same. This is mainly owing to the lack of high clarity pictures or any other concrete data regarding the UFO.
With no concrete and confirmed information about this sighting available, even UFO researchers are still left clueless about what the sighted object was, with the mystery getting only deepened.

The Voynich Manuscript
The Voynich Manuscript, one of the biggest unsolved mysteries in the world.
The Voynich Manuscript is a manuscript written in the Middle Ages in an unknown language using an unknown alphabet system. Attempts have been made to interpret the document for over 100 years, but there hasn’t been a single breakthrough yet. The Book includes illustrations of plants (with some of them being unknown to modern bottanists) and astronimocal information. It is possible that the book is the work of an alchemist who used codes to keep his discoveries a secret but, untill the book is decoded, no one knows for certain.
Like its contents, the history of ownership of the Voynich manuscript is yet another unsolved mystery. The codex belonged to Emperor Rudolph II of Germany, who purchased it for 600 gold ducats and believed that it was the work of Roger Bacon. It is very likely that Emperor Rudolph acquired the manuscript from the English astrologer John Dee (1527-1608). Dee apparently owned the manuscript along with a number of other Roger Bacon manuscripts. In addition, Dee stated that he had 630 ducats in October 1586, and his son noted that Dee, while in Bohemia, owned “a booke…containing nothing butt Hieroglyphicks, which booke his father bestowed much time upon: but I could not heare that hee could make it out.” Emperor Rudolph seems to have given the manuscript to Jacobus Horcicky de Tepenecz (d. 1622), an exchange based on the inscription visible only with ultraviolet light on folio 1r which reads: “Jacobi de Tepenecz.” Johannes Marcus Marci of Cronland presented the book to Athanasius Kircher (1601-1680) in 1666. In 1912, Wilfred M. Voynich purchased the manuscript from the Jesuit College at Frascati near Rome. In 1969, the codex was given to the Beinecke Library by H. P. Kraus, who had purchased it from the estate of Ethel Voynich, Wilfrid Voynich’s widow.
The Bermuda Triangle
The Bermuda Triangle is still one of the biggest unsolved mysteries in the world.
The Bermuda Triangle is a large part of ocean in the North Atlantic that has been the source of many plain- and boat disappearances. A number of explanations have been suggested over the years ranging from; time warps, extreme weather to alien abductions. There is substantial evidence to show that many of the disappearances have been exaggerated, but even if those were excluded from the total count, the odds of vanishing into thin air are higher in the Bermuda Triangle then anywhere else.
Saint Germain, the Immortal Count
Count St. Germain the real Doctor Who?
Is it possible for a person to live forever? That is what some people are claiming about a historical figure known as Count de Saint-Germain. His origins are still unclear. Some records date his birth to the late 1600s, although some believe that his longevity reaches back to the time of Christ. He has appeared many times throughout history – even as recently as the 1970s – always appearing to be about 45 years old. He was known by many of the most famous figures of European history, including Casanova, Madame de Pampadour, Voltaire, King Louis XV, Catherine the Great, Anton Mesmer, George Washington and others. He has also been linked to a number of occult movements and conspiracy theories.
Who was this mysterious man? Are the stories of his immortality mere legend and folklore? Or is it possible that he really did discover the secret of eternal life?
The date of birth for Saint German is unknown, although most accounts say he was born in the 1690s. A genealogy compiled by Annie Besant for her co-authored book, The Comte De St. Germain: The Secret of Kings, asserts that he was born the son of Francis Racoczi II, Prince of Transylvania in 1690. What we do know for certain is that he was an accomplished alchemist, which means he could turn heaps of metal into pure gold. If that wasn’t a neat enough trick already, the count also claimed to have discovered the secret of eternal life! Between 1740 and 1780 Saint-Germain, who was quite a celebrity in those days, traveled extensively throughout Europe – and in all that time never seemed to age. Those who met him were astonished by his many abilities and peculiarities like:
He spoke 12 languages
He could play the violin like a virtuoso.
He was an accomplished painter.
Wherever he traveled, he set up an elaborate laboratory, presumably for his alchemy work.
He seemed to be a man of great wealth, but was not known to have any bank accounts. (If it was due to his ability to transmute base metals into gold, he never performed the feat for observers.)
He dined often with friends because he enjoyed their company, but was rarely seen to eat food in public. He subsisted, it was said, on a diet of oatmeal.
He prescribed recipes for the removal of facial wrinkles and for dyeing hair.
He loved jewels, and much of his clothing – including his shoes – were studded with them.
He had perfected a technique for painting jewels.
He claimed to be able to fuse several small diamonds into one large one. He also said he could make pearls grow to incredible sizes.
He has been linked to several secret societies, including the Rosicrucians, Freemasons, Society of Asiatic Brothers, the Knights of Light, the Illuminati and Order of the Templars.
Officially Saint Germain died in 1784, but of course dying equals having a bad day, when your called the “immortal count”. He would continue to be seen throughout the 19th century and into the 20th century!
In 1785 he was seen in Germany with Anton Mesmer, the pioneer hypnotist. (Some claim that it was Saint-Germain who gave Mesmer the basic ideas for hypnotism and personal magnetism.)
Official records of Freemasonry show that they chose Saint-Germain as their representative for a convention in 1785.
After the taking of the Bastille in the French Revolution in 1789, the Comtesse d’Adhémar said she had a lengthy conversation with Count de Saint-Germain. He allegedly told her of France’s immediate future, as if he knew what was to come. In 1821, she wrote: “I have seen Saint-Germain again, each time to my amazement. I saw him when the queen [Antoinette] was murdered, on the 18th of Brumaire, on the day following the death of the Duke d’Enghien, in January, 1815, and on the eve of the murder of the Duke de Berry.” The last time she saw him was in 1820 – and each time he looked to be a man no older than his mid-40s.
Voltaire, the 18th century philosopher, perhaps best summed up the Count of St. Germain:
this is “a man who never dies, and who knows everything.”
Jack The Ripper
Jack the Ripper has to be the most famous serial killer of all time. He was the most active in 1888 when he committed his hideous crimes mostly in the poor Whitechapel area of London. His victims were mostly prostitutes and in some cases the bodies were found only minutes after Jack the Ripper left the scene. This was especially creepy considering the Ripper took his time to mutilate and surgically remove organs from its victims.
Probably the biggest reason for the enduring appeal of this bizarre series of prostitute murders is the name Jack the Ripper. The name is easy to explain. It was written at the end of a letter which was forwarded it to the Metropolitan Police on 29 September 1988. The letter began “Dear Boss……” It went on to speak of “I am down on whores and I shant quit ripping them till I do get buckled…”; and went on in similar fashion. The “trade name” of Jack the Ripper was then made public and ignited both the imagination and a nation wide panic among the public. None of the 11 brutal murders were ever solved and to this day, we still don’t know anything about the identity of this mysterious serial killer and how many victims he made.
The Taos Hum
The Taos hum is a low-pitched sound that can be heard in various parts of the world. It is described as sounding like the humming of a refrigerator. Strangely a lot of people hear the sound and it is known to drive some people mad, while others don’t hear a thing. The mysterious sound is also undetectable by microphones or any other electronic equipment, making it extremely hard to pinpoint the source. It is most famous for its occurrence in Taos, New Mexico, the town where this mysterious phenomena got its name from. In 1997, the United States Congress asked scientists and observers to find the source of the sound, but they were unable to do so. There are a lot of theories surrounding the Taos Hum. Some say it has to do with the thin earth crust in Taos, while others are convinced it has to do with an alien UFO that crashed eons ago and is now buried deep underground. Whatever the case may be, it sure must suck to get a good night sleep in Taos!
The Shroud Of Turin
The Shroud of Turin is allegedly the burial shroud of Jesus Christ, which bears the image of a crucified man. Despite many scientific investigations, no explenation excists on how the image could have been imprented on the cloth. No attempts to replicate the image have been succesful. Tests date the fabric back to the Middle Ages, but it’s existence has been known since at least the 4th century, and pollen and weave testing put in the time of Jesus.
The Disappearance of Frederick Valentich
20-year old pilot, Frederick Valentich, was attempting to rack up flying time for his commercial license, flying his single engine Cessna 182 to King Island some 130 miles south of Melbourne Australia. He failed to touch down at the King Field airstrip on schedule. At 1906 his last radio transmission was received by Melbourne Flight Service Control on Saturday, October 21, which makes this disappearance unique in the annals of aviation history.
Just before his voice was abruptly cut off after making contact with Melbourne flight controllers, Valentich reported he could see four bright green lights- 1,000 feet above his position: “It is approaching from due east toward me, it seems to be playing some sort of game, flying at a speed I find impossible to estimate” And then: “It is not aircraft, it is…” Finally a long silence, broken when communication was initiated by ground control asking for an identification of the object in question. The young pilot’s answer: “It’s not an aircraft…” and the contact was lost…permanently.
An intensive land, sea and air search was begun by the Australian Navy and Air Force, centered on Bass Strait, 130 miles south of Melbourne and 25miles north of King Island, the point of Valentich’s last radio contact. But the search failed to turn out any trace of the pilot or his aircraft. It was determined that weather conditions at the time of disappearance were ideal, with almost unlimited visibility and a mild breeze. The pilot’s father Guido Valentich strongly believed his son was still alive—that he was being held by someone from another world. More importantly, the elder Valentich said his son had been interested in UFOs for many years and even reported sighting one about 10 months before. There were numerous other witnesses who called police that same night claiming to have seen a UFO on Saturday night. According to a Royal Australian Air Force spokesman, about 10 reports of UFO sightings were logged during the same weekend of the disappearance.
This picture was taken on the day of Valantich’s disappearance and to this day, has not been explained.
This whole mystery got an even more bizarre twist years later. According to the testimony of a number of witnesses, a young man who identified himself as Frederick Valentich, the Australian pilot who mysteriously disappeared in 1978 was alive and well in 1990 at Plaza del Charco, a resort on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Displaying an Australian passport to prove his claim, Valentich told those with whom he spoke on several occasions that he now belonged to a group of humans who had been “recruited” by extraterrestrials. It is also worth noting that the supposed Valentich showed no signs of aging, and resembled the photos circulated around the time of his disappearance at the age of 20. Pretty bizarre huh? I am also very curious what Valantich was doing there at this resort. Did the aliens give him a few days off?
