THE INNER EARTH ORIGIN OF THE FLYING SAUCERS
THE INNER EARTH ORIGIN OF THE FLYING SAUCERS
The conception of a hollow earth presented in this book offers the most reasonable theory of the origin of the flying saucers and far more logical than the belief in their interplanetary origin.
For this reason, leading flying saucer experts, as Ray Palmer, editor of "Flying Saucers" magazine, and Gray Barker, a well known writer on flying saucers, have accepted the theory of their subterranean origin as against the idea that they come from other planets.
The theory that flying saucers came from the Earth's interior and not from other planets originated in Brazil and only later was it taken up by American flying saucer experts.
In 1957, while browsing in a Sao Paulo, Brazil, bookstore, the author came across a book that struck his attention, entitled, "From the Subterranean World to the Sky: Flying Saucers".
The book was devoted to the thesis that flying saucers were not space ships from other planets but were of terrestrial origin and came from a subterranean race dwelling inside the earth.
At first, the author could not accept this strange, unorthodox theory concerning the origin of the flying saucers, which seemed improbable and impossible, since it would require the existence of a cavity of tremendous size inside the earth in which they could fly, in view of their tremendous speed.
In fact, this cavity would have to be so large that it would make the earth a hollow sphere.
At this time the author had not come across the remarkable books of two American scientists, William Reed and Marshall B. Gardner, proving, on basis of evidence from Arctic explorers, that the earth is hollow with openings at the Poles, with a diameter of 5,800 miles in its hollow interior, large enough for flying saucers to fly in.
Huguenin's theory of the subterranean origin of the flying saucers, however, was not original.
The idea was first put forward by Professor Henruique Jose de Souza, president of the Brazilian Theosophical Society, which has its headquarters in Sao Lourenco in the State of Minas Gerais, where there is an immense temple in Greek style dedicated to "Agharta," the Buddhist name for the Subterranean World.
Among the professor's students at Sao Lourenco were Mr. Huguenin and Commander Paulo Justino Strauss, officer of the Brazilian Navy and member of the Diretoria of the Brazilian Theosophical Society, From him they learned about the Subterranean World, and also the idea that flying saucers come from the Earth's interior.
It was for this reason that Mr. Huguenin dedicated his book to Prof. de Souza and his wife, D. Helena Jefferson de Souza.
While Huguenin incorporated the idea of the subterranean origin of the flying saucers in a book, Commander Strauss presented it in a series of lectures which he held in Rio de Janeiro, in which he affirmed that the flying saucers are of terrestrial origin, but do not come from any known nation on the earth's surface.
They originate, he believes, in the Subterranean World, the World of Agharta, whose capital city is known as Shamballah.
In his book, Huguenin presents Strauss's views on the subterranean origin of the flying saucers and against the theory that they come from other planets as follows:
"The hypothesis of the extra-terrestrial origin of the flying saucers does not seem acceptable. Another possibility is that they are military aircraft belonging to some existing nation on earth. This hypothesis, however, is opposed by the following arguments:
"1. If the United States and Russia possessed flying saucers, they would not desist from announcing this fact because of its value as a psychological arm to secure advantages in the diplomatic field. Also they would manufacture and use these vehicles for military purposes, since they are so rapid and powerful that they would leave the enemy almost without means of defense.
"2. The United States and USSR would not continue to spend large sums of money on the manufacture of ordinary airplanes if they possessed the secret of producing flying saucers."
After presenting the argument that flying saucers do not come from any existing nation and his view that they are not of interplanetary origin, Huguenin quotes Strauss to the fact that they come from the Subterranean World. On this subject he writes:
"Finally, we must consider the most recent and interesting theory that has been offered to account for the origin of the flying saucers: the existence of a great Subterranean World with innumerable cities in which live millions of inhabitants.
"This other humanity must have reached a very high degree of civilization, economic organization and social, cultural and spiritual development, together with an extraordinary scientific progress, in comparison with whom the humanity that lives on the earth's surface may be considered as a race of barbarians.
"The idea of the existence of a Subterranean World will shock many people. To others it will sound absurd and impossible, for 'certainly,' they say, 'if it existed, it would have been discovered long ago.'
"And there are plenty of other critics who would point out that it would be impossible for such an inhabited world to exist inside the earth because of the belief that as one descends, the temperature increases, on the basis of which theory it is supposed that, since the temperature increased the further down one went, the center of the earth is a fiery mass.
"However, this increase in temperature does not mean that the center of the earth is fiery, since it might extend only for a limited distance and, as in the case of volcanos and hot springs, arise from subterranean cavities located at certain levels (below which the temperature again drops as one goes downward).
"In accordance with the hypothesis that heat increases as one descends through the earth's crust, this takes place only a distance of eighty kilometers (in the superficial layer of the earth).
"According to the information supplied by Commander Paulo Justin Strauss, the Subterranean World is not restricted to caverns, but is more or less extensive and located in a hollow inside the Earth large enough to contain cities and fields, where live human beings and animals, whose physical structure resembles those on the surface.
"Among its inhabitants are certain persons who came from the surface, who, like Colonel Fawcett and his son Jack, descended, never to return."
(Huguenin here refers to the views of Professor de Souza and Commander Strauss on the controversial subject of Colonel Fawcett's mysterious disappearance, claiming that he and his son Jack are still living in a subterranean city to which they gained access through a tunnel in the Roncador Mountains of Northeast Matto Grosso, and were not killed by Indians as commonly supposed.
(Fawcett's wife, who claims to be in telepathic contact with him, is positive that he is still living, so much so that she sent an expedition to Matto Grosso, in charge of her other son, to find him, but in vain, because he was no longer on the earth's surface, but in the Subterranean World.)
Huguenin then asks how these marvelous subterranean cities and this advanced civilization in the interior of the earth arose.
His answer is that the builders and most of the inhabitants of this Subterranean World are members of an antediluvian race which came from the prehistoric submerged continents of Lemuria and Atlantis, who found refuge there from the flood that destroyed their Motherland.
(Lemuria sank under the Pacific Ocean... while Atlantis was submerged by a series of inundations, the last of which occurred 11,500 years ago, according to Plato's account, derived from ancient Egyptian records. Egypt was a colony of Atlantis to the East, just as the Aztec, Mayan and Inca empires were to the West.)
Huguenin claims that the Atlanteans, who were far in advance of us in scientific development, flew the sky in aircraft utilizing a form of energy obtained directly from the atmosphere, and which were known as "vimanas," which were identical with what we know as flying saucers.
Prior to the catastrophe that destroyed Atlantis, the Atlanteans found refuge in the Subterranean World in the hollow interior of the earth, to which they traveled on their "vimanas" or flying saucers, reaching it through the polar openings.
Ever since then, their flying saucers remained in the earth's interior atmosphere and were used for purposes of transportation from one point in the interior concave world to another, for in this world, inside the crust of the earth, a straight aerial line is the shortest distance between any two points, no matter how far apart.
It was only after the Hiroshima atomic explosion that these Atlantean aircraft rose to the surface for the first time, and were known as flying saucers. As we have pointed out previously, they came as an act of self-defense, to prevent radioactive pollution of the air they receive from the outside.
Huguenin is convinced that flying saucers are not space ships from other planets, but Atlantean airships. It seems that throughout history, especially in ancient times, these aircraft occasionally rose to the surface, and some historical figures rode in them.
Thus in the Indian epic, "Ramayana," there is a description of a Celestial Car of Rama, the great teacher of Vedic India, known as "vimana," a controlled aerial vehicle.
It was capable of flying great distances. Rama's aerial record was a hop from Ceylon to Mount Kailas in Tibet.
In the "Mahabharata," we read of Chrishna's enemies having built an aerial chariot with sides of iron and clad with wings. The "Smranagana Sutrahara" says that by means of skyships human beings can fly in the air and "heavenly beings" would come down to earth.
That aerial navigation existed long before the making of the first modern airplane by the Wright brothers, the director of the International Academy of Sanskrit Investigation at Mysen, India, discovered an ancient treatise on aeronautics, which was written three thousand years ago.
It was attributed to the Indu sage Bharadway, who wrote a manuscript called "Vymacrika Shastra," meaning "the Science of Aeronautics."
It has eight chapters with diagrams, describing three types of aircraft, including apparatuses that could neither catch on fire nor break, and mentions thirty-one essential parts of these vehicles and sixteen materials from which they are constructed, which absorb light and heat, for which reason they were considered suitable for the construction of airplanes.
It is interesting to note the similarity of the word "vymacrika" and "vimanas," indicating that the Hindus obtained their knowledge of aerial navigation from the subterranean Atlanteans who must have visited them in ancient times and taught them.
From Brazil, where the theory of the subterranean origin of the flying saucers originated, it spread to the United States, where Ray Palmer, editor of "Flying Saucers" magazine became its enthusiastic proponent, abandoning his former belief in their interplanetary origin in favor of the new theory that they came from the hollow interior of the earth.
In the December, 1959 issue of his magazine, he wrote:
"In this issue we have presented the results of years of research, in which we advance the possibility that the flying saucers not only are from our own planet, and not from space, inner or outer, but there is a tremendous mass to evidence to show that there is an UNKNOWN location of vast dimensions which is, insofar as we can safely state at this writing, also unexplored, where the flying saucers can, and most probably do originate."
In reference to the claims made by some flying saucer "contactees" that they were taken up on a flying saucer for a trip to Mars and other planets, Palmer says:
"We've read all the accounts of such voyages and nowhere, in any of them, can we find positive evidence that space was traversed: In all these accounts, we can see where the passengers could have been taken to this 'unknown land' discovered by Admiral Byrd, and if told they were on Mars, they would not know the difference.
"Provided an actual trip in a saucer was made, the pilots of the flying saucers could have simulated a space trip and instead took their passengers to `that mysterious land beyond the Pole,' as Admiral Byrd calls it.
In an article, "Saucers From Earth: A Challenge to Secrecy;," in the Dec. 1959 issue of "Flying Saucers," Palmer writes:
"Flying Saucers magazine has amassed a large file of evidence which its editors consider unassailable, to prove that the flying saucers are native to the planet Earth: that the governments of more than one nation know this to be a fact; that a concerted effort is being made to learn all about them, and to explore their native land; that the facts already known are considered so important that they are the world's top secret; that the danger is so great that to offer public proof is to risk widespread panic; that public knowledge would bring public demand for action, which would topple governments both helpless and unwilling to comply; that the inherent nature of the flying saucers and their origination area (in the earth's hollow interior, reached through the polar openings — Author) is completely disruptive to political and economic status-quo."
As against the theory that flying saucers were made by any existing government, Palmer says, "Flying saucers have been with humanity for centuries, if not thousands of years." Their antiquity, he says, " eliminates contemporary earth governments as the originators of the mysterious phenomenon.
After disproving that flying saucers come from any existing nation, Palmer attacks the theory of their interplanetary origin, whose chief proponent is the American flying saucer expert, Keyhoe, also some "contactees" who claim some flying saucers come from Mars, others from Venus, etc.
After showing that flying saucers do not come from any existing nation or from other planets, Palmer, America's greatest authority on flying saucers, concludes, in agreement with Commander Strauss and Huguenin, that they come from the earth's hollow interior through the polar opening.
He writes:
"In the opinion of the editors of `Flying Saucers,' this Polar origin of the flying saucers will now have to be factually disproved. Any denial must be accompanied with positive proof. `Flying Saucers' suggests that such proof cannot be provided.
"`Flying Saucers' takes the stand that all flying saucer groups should study the matter from the hollow earth viewpoint, amass all confirmatory evidence available in the last two centuries, and search diligently for any contrary evidence.
"Now that we have tracked the flying saucers to the most logical origin (the one we have consistently insisted must exist because of the insurmountable obstacles of interstellar origin, which demands factors beyond our imagination), that the flying saucers come from our own Earth, it must be proved or disproved, one way or the other.
"Why? Because if the interior of the Earth is populated by a highly scientific and advanced race, we must make profitable contact with them; and if they are mighty in their science, which includes the science of war, we must not make enemies of them; and if it is the intent of our governments to regard the interior of the Earth as 'virgin territory,' and comparable to the `Indian Territory' of North America when the settlers came over to take it away from its rightful owners, it is right for the people to know that intent, and to express their desire in the matter.
"The flying saucer has become the most important single fact in history. The answer to the questions raised in this article are to be answered. Admiral Byrd has discovered a new and mysterious land, the `center of the great unknown,' and the most important discovery of all time.
"We have it from his own lips, from a man whose integrity has always been unimpeachable, and whose mind was one of the most brilliant of modern times.
"Let those who wish to call him a liar step forward and prove their claim: Flying saucers come from this Earth:"
So ends Ray Palmer's great article, "Flying Saucers From the Earth," which created a sensation, causing certain government secret agencies to confiscate the magazine and stop its distribution, so that it did not reach its 5000 subscribers.
Why? Obviously because the government was convinced that such an unclaimed, unknown territory, vast in extent, larger than the entire land surface of the earth, exists and wished its existence to be kept secret, so that no other nation would know about it or reach it before and claim this territory as its own.
It was important that the Russians do not learn about it. For this reason it was decided to suppress this issue of "Flying Saucers" of December, 1959, which was mysteriously removed from circulation.
Evidently the information contained in this magazine concerning the fact that flying saucers come from the earth's hollow interior through the polar openings, like news concerning Admiral Byrd's flights past the Poles into the new unknown territory beyond them, was considered dangerous to be released to the public and was consequently secretly suppressed by government authorities.
Another outstanding American authority on flying saucers is Gray Barker. A month after Palmer published his sensational article expressing his belief that flying saucers do not come from outer space but from the earth's interior, Barker, in his "The Saucerian Bulletin," on January 15, 1960, wrote:
"Many occult students, long before flying saucers became widely known about, believed that people lived inside the earth, emerging and entering through secret openings at the North and South Poles.
"Palmer presented only the first of his evidences in the December 1959 issue. It consisted of a review of newspaper and radio accounts of Admiral Richard E. Byrd's flight to the North Pole in 1947.
"In February of that year, Byrd took off from an Arctic base and headed straight north to the Pole. Then Byrd kept flying north, beyond the Pole, and was amazed to discover iceless lands and lakes, mountains covered with trees, and even a monstrous animal moving through the underbrush below: For almost 1700 miles the plane flew over land, mountains, trees, lakes and rivers.
"After flying 1700 miles, he was forced to turn back because of his gasoline supply limit for the return trip. So he retraced the flight back to the Arctic base. Not much was thought about the unusual flight at the time.
"Palmer then instructs the reader to look at the globe. According to Byrd's reported flight, he shouldn't have seen anything but ice-covered ocean or partially open water. Yet Byrd saw trees and other greenery. According to the globe, such a land just isn't there.
"Palmer next discusses similar geographical discrepancies at the South Pole, and then draws the amazing conclusion: `The Earth is not spherical. Instead it is something like a though perhaps not so flattened.
"At each pole there is a huge opening, so large that when one travels "beyond" the Pole, he actually enters the lip of the hole of the doughnut-shaped earth. If he traveled far enough he would travel through the 'hole' of the 'doughnut' and emerge at the other Pole.
"Palmer further suggests that people live on the `inside' of the earth, and that such people emerge from the Poles in flying saucers. He promises to present the remainder of the proofs later, but in the present issue of 'Flying Saucer," his case boils down to these main points:
"(1) Measurements of areas at the North and South Poles are larger than you can find room for on a map or globe, leading to the assumption that such areas extend down into the 'doughnut.
"(2) Some animals, particularly the musk-ox, migrate north in the wintertime, from the Arctic Circle. Foxes are found north of the 80th parallel, heading north, and appear well fed in a large area where there is no food available.
(They go north because it becomes warmer and there is plant and animal life as they enter the polar opening - Author.)
"(3) Arctic explorers agree it gets warmer as one heads north (after coming close enough to the North Pole).
"(4) In the Arctic, coniferous trees drift ashore, from out of the north. Butterflies and bees are found in the far north, but never hundreds of miles south of that point.
"(5) Remains of mammoths, perfectly preserved, were found in Siberia, with the sparse food of the sub-Arctic region in its stomach. Such food could not have supported the animal. It must have come from the `land beyond the Poles', Palmer postulates.
"(6) Trouble with satellites shot over the South Pole bears out the theory that land areas haven't been measured accurately or that 'somebody' has been interfering with them.
In this connection it is interesting to note that American newspapers, some time back, published a report of a mysterious artificial satellite discovered to encircle the earth in an orbit that passed directly over both Poles and which was sent by no known nation.
Did it emerge from one of the Poles and continue to rotate around its point of origin?
Gray Barker seems to agree with Palmer that flying saucers come from inside the earth; and in his editorial quoted above, he asks:
"What if there could be some unknown race, on some unexplored portion of the earth, which is responsible for the flying saucers? Palmer' s articles started me to thinking along that direction once again. THE INNER EARTH EXPLANATION WOULD FIT INTO MOST, IF NOT ALL THE FACETS OF THE FLYING SAUCER PICTURE.
"Various occult schools teach that polar entrances provide the doorways to cities of Agharta, the Subterranean World, such as Shamballah (the capital) and others. Let us accept, for a moment, that such a people has existed inside the earth for thousands of years, even before man - or maybe they seeded the outside with man.
"Maybe they have constantly watched over him, occasionally assisting him with technology, giving rise to what we now call `legends.'
"Maybe they built the Great Pyramid; maybe they are responsible for some of the 'miracles' reported in secular and religious histories. Until man, their protege, learned to be morally worthy, they would not wish to give him, suddenly, the knowledge of their existence or secrets of their technology.
"When man, however, invented the atomic bomb, the people of the inner earth were greatly concerned about it. Maybe they feared that contamination of the atmosphere would reach them; maybe they feared man could blow up the earth entirely.
"Halting or controlling man's propensity for destruction would be a delicate problem unless they would come out openly and inform him of their existence. They figured that they would eventually have to do so, and began a slow process of indoctrination, first merely letting him see the flying saucers fly around.
"Since men thought that flying saucers came from outer space, they pretended to be space people contacting him in their craft, and trying to indoctrinate him with peaceful philosophy (the majority of `space people' contacted having spoken strongly against the atomic bomb)."
In his book, "They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers," Barker speaks of the "Antarctic Mystery" or the unusual number of flying saucers seen to ascend and descend in the region of the South Pole, which strongly supports the theory of a polar opening through which flying saucers emerge from and enter the hollow interior of the earth.
In this book he mentions an Australian and New Zealand investigator, named Bender and Jarrold respectively, who believed that flying saucers originate and are based in the Antarctic and tried to trace their course, when they were suddenly stopped in their research by 'three men in black,' who were secret government agents who apparently wished to suppress such research, just as publicity concerning Admiral Byrd's 2,300 mile flight to the new unknown territory not found on any map, that lies beyond the South Pole and inside the opening that leads to the earth's hollow interior, was suppressed in the press.
Theodore Fitch is another American writer who believes that flying saucers come from the hollow interior of the earth.
In his book, "Our Paradise Inside the Earth" he writes:
"Writers of books on flying saucers believe that they come from other planets. But how can that be? They are too far away. Traveling at terrific speeds it would take a lifetime to make the trip (especially from planets of other solar systems)."
Fitch claims, as does Palmer, that the "spacemen" who came to us in flying saucers, who pose to be visitors from other planets, are really members of an advanced civilization in the hollow interior of the earth, who have important reasons for keeping their true place of origin secret, for which reason they purposely foster the false belief that they come from other planets.
On this point, Fitch writes:
"They say that they come from other planets, but we doubt it. He considers this a white lie in order to prevent militaristic governments from learning that on the opposite side of the earth's crust there exists an advanced civilization whose scientific attainments far surpass our own, which is reached by the polar openings. In this way they protect themselves from molestation or possible war between subterranean and surface races."
Fitch agrees with Palmer that flying saucers are not "space ships," as Adamski claims, nor are their pilots "spacemen".
Rather they are vehicles for atmospheric travel which come from the hollow interior of the earth in which they fly, connecting each part of the concave subterranean world with the other.
As for the little brown men" seen in flying saucers, Fitch believes that they belong to the same subterranean race from which the Eskimos descended.
Fitch is in agreement with William Reed and Marshall B. Gardner that the ancestors of the Eskimos came from the hollow interior of the Earth through the polar opening.
Describing these little brown men, who are the pilots of the flying saucers, evidently serving a master race (Atlantean) which built them and sent them to us Fitch says:
"Though smaller than we, they are stronger. Their grip is like a vice. One of them could quickly overpower a strong man. Their bodies are perfect in build. Both men and women dress neatly.
"Though not beautiful, they are nice looking. Not one of them looks to be over 30 years old. They say that they do not expect to ever die.
"It would take a book to record the conversation that has taken place with the saucermen and women. Their speech is quick, sharp and right to the point. They seem to be very, very intelligent...
"They talk freely and answer all questions, but they lie about things they do not want us to know (refusing to reveal their true subterranean origin and pretending to come from other planets, as Mars and Venus).
"Here are a few brief statements or claims made by the little men and women who live inside the earth. They boast about their superior mentality and knowledge, and that they excel us in creative ability. They say they are far ahead of us from the standpoint of new inventions.
"For instance, they claim that their flying saucers are powered with `free energy' (meaning the electromagnetic energy of space, which is free and not like fuel used to supply our aircraft). They claim they obtain this `free energy' by exploding certain atoms by the action of the electromagnetic energy of space while in flight.
"They say they are thousands of years ahead of us in all of the arts, such as painting, sculpture and architectural designing.
"Also they are ahead of us in their domestic and business management, in their agricultural techniques, and that their beautiful landscapes, parks, flower gardens, orchards and farms vastly surpass our own. They claim that they are far ahead of us in their knowledge of nutrition and diet.
"They claim to live in luxury, yet have no class distinction and no poverty among them, nor need of police. They say that they know every language on earth.
"Fitch's description of this super civilization in the hollow interior of the earth reminds one of Bulwer Lytton's subterranean Utopia described in his book, "The Coming Race."
"Lytton was a Rosicrucian and probably had access to occult information along this line. He described a super race inside the earth which lived in a state of universal abundance and contentment, free from greed, poverty and war."
Fitch describes these people as living under an economic system by which they own all things in common, without private aggrandizement or hoarding, and without class distinctions of rich and poor, capitalist or worker.
Also they have an equitable system of distribution free from exploitation and usury; and there is no poverty among them, since all are on a basis of perfect equality through a system of common ownership. They have no private property and work together cooperatively for their mutual welfare.
Fitch writes:
"They say they know all the secrets of every government. They say they are of higher intelligence and authority. Since they are our superiors they have authority over us. They claim to be experts in mental telepathy. They claim they came from an antediluvian race (Lemurian and Atlantean).
"They say they know nothing at all about our Jesus, and say our Bible has been mistranslated, misinterpreted and misconstrued. They claim that they are a race which has not fallen as we have... They say we should get rid of nuclear bombs and armaments."
The shocking theory emerged after the release of footage of a fireball exploding in the skies above Maine, New England, USA
Clips of the natural phenomena show what appears to be a second, smaller object entering the Earth's atmosphere during the event on Tuesday.
The American Meteor Society (AMS) has since confirmed a second object was present, but says it was just a smaller fragment of the meteor as it broke up in our atmosphere.
However, the seemingly satisfactory explanation, has done nothing to dampen speculation from die hard alien chasers looking for evidence of extra terrestrial visitations.
The most popular theory is it was an alien craft dispatched to destroy the meteor to prevent an impact.
PORTSMOUTHWEBCAM•NM•YouTube
The meteor was caught on webcam entering Earth's atmosphere
It also claims there could even be galactic patrols looking over us as they know we do not yet have the technology to deal with asteroid or comet strikes which could potentially wipe out life on the planet.
At the time, most eyewitnesses saw only one object enter the atmosphere, steak across the skies and then burn up.
The AMS had more than 700 reports from witnesses with the fireball also seen over New Hampshire, New Jersey, Vermont, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, and in Canada.

Nemesis Maturity explains the crazy theory in its YouTube video
What a bunch of b*lls**t, that was just a fragment of the rock that disintegrated during entry. The ‘extraterrestrials’ are very far away and have better things to do.

YouTube channel Nemesis Maturity, which regularly features conspiracy theories, uploaded a video showing two objects arrived, one appearing to follow the other.
The second, smaller object, then appeared to strike the bigger one before a huge explosion.
The footage was taken from a security camera at Burlington International Airport, South Burlington, Vermont and uploaded by AMS.
According to Nemesis Maturity, UFO researchers analysed the footage, before taking the leap that the second object could have been an alien UFO that shot down the speeding meteor.
People feared a major earthquake or volcano eruption when they were frightened out of bed on Saturday.
The boom was strong enough to shake windows in Puebla de Zaragoza, Mexico.
Thousands of city’s 3 million inhabitants were woken by the mystery phenomena.
They feared a major earthquake had struck , or the monster Popocatepetl volcano had blown its top, but officials quickly ruled out these theories as no seismic activity was registered.
It was really strong. Windows were shaking. We thought it was an earthquake, but it wasn't. There was a sound like an explosion. We were truly terrified.
Alvaro Morales
Frightened local resident, Emma Chavez said: "It was horrible, we thought it was the volcano, but it wasn't.
"There was a light that shone for a couple of seconds like it was daytime and then there was tremendous thunder."
Alvaro Morales, said: "It was really strong. Windows were shaking. We thought it was an earthquake, but it wasn't. There was a sound like an explosion. We were truly terrified."
One theory, put forward by a locally-based astronomic society was it was an exploding meteor above the city just 30 miles from the capital Mexico City.
The society tweeted that if a space rock had burned up in the atmosphere, there would be nothing to see afterwards and no impact detected.
Residents said a being exited a UFO and climbed a tree
The mystery humanoid was allegedly seen climbing through trees, then jumped back on board the object when it had been seen.
Three students claim to have seen the entity circling Argentine city Santa Cruz before making the dramatic landing, according to local TV news.
A report on Notivision said locals who claimed to have been the UFO said "an extraterrestrial creature descended from its 'craft', before making attempts to get back on board when it was seen".
A TV news reporter for Notivision said: "Three students were witnesses to the sighting from EL Dorado as they returned home from school.

Turkish Airlines pilots saw a UFO on day of MS804 crash
Turkish Airlines pilots said an unidentified object with green lights passed above their plane on Thursday, the day of the loss of the flight from Paris to Cairo.
The bizarre sighting was just around 350 miles from the last recorded radar observation of the MS804 flight above the Mediterranean.
According to local reports the two pilots reported the inexplicable sighting to the Air Traffic Control Centre at Atatürk Airport, Istanbul.
The pair reportedly said: “An unidentified object with green lights passed 2 to 3,000 feet above us.
“Then it disappeared all of a sudden. We are guessing that it was a UFO.”

The plane was flying at around 17,000 feet above Istanbul’s Silivri district, during an internal flight from the western Turkish resort town of Bodrum to Istanbul, when they saw the strange craft.
The plane landed at Atatürk Airport around 30 minutes later at just before midnight.
An investigation was launched by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority, but confirmed that strangely, it did not find any object in its radars that could be what the pilots described seeing.
The EgyptAir Airbus A320 vanished from radar with 66 people on board in the early hours of Thursday, meaning the Turkish sighting was several hours later.

There can be very few people within the field of UFO research who haven’t heard accounts of significant material on UFOs going “missing.” We’re talking about the likesof certain files on the Rendlesham Forest UFO event of 1980, and on the Roswell controversy of 1947. There’s also a very intriguing – but far less well-known – affair from the 1950s. It’s one that I have taken a personal interest in, but which still remains unresolved.
The late Ralph Noyes retired from the British Ministry of Defense in 1977. In an interview with UFO investigator Timothy Good, Noyes revealed that, back in the 1950s, the Royal Air Force had secured “gun-camera” footage of UFOs over the UK. The footage – seen by Noyes at the MoD in 1970, along with a dozen or so other individuals – wasn’t overly spectacular (Noyes described it as “unimpressive”). But, it certainly showed something anomalous and fast-moving. Noyes (whose account you can find in Good’s 1987 book, Above Top Secret) confirmed that he saw the footage while in the employ of the MoD, as did representatives from the Meteorological Office, the Director of Air Defense, and a number of personnel from the Air Staff. A theory was offered that the phenomenon may have been “something obscure meteorologically.”
Nick Pope
In the latter part of 1993, I approached the Ministry of Defense and inquired about the then-current status of that same gun-camera footage. Certainly, it was not available for study at the National Archives. So, where was it? That’s a good question. One of those I spoke with on this matter was Nick Pope. Between 1991 and 1994, Pope worked in one particular Ministry of Defense office that handled UFO reports, Secretariat (Air Staff) 2a.
Pope told me: “I liaised with our archivist people, who are the sort of middlemen between us and [the National Archives]. They made a number of checks and, basically, a check was made of any place where this material might have ended. Now, that includes [the National Archives]. It also includes anything that might have got lodged in a halfway house of archiving. They checked the Imperial War Museum and, I think, the RAF Museum.”
Pope continued: “No-one is disputing that Ralph Noyes saw this footage and that it existed. That’s not in dispute, as far as I’m concerned. I think it’s unfortunate, but I suspect that one of two things happened. Either it got lost or destroyed somewhere, because it wasn’t seen as being of public interest at that time. Or, old film deteriorates; it becomes unstable and you have to destroy it before it becomes a health and safety hazard. But, I think Ralph himself said that the footage wasn’t that spectacular. We did have a thorough look for it and unfortunately it didn’t turn up. Given that we’ve now had a proper look, I think it’s unlikely it will turn up. All I can say is, we gave it our best shot.”
While I have absolutely no doubt that Pope was being entirely honest and sincere in his statements, I find it odd that such footage would have been routinely destroyed – and without copies being made for possible, future reference. After all, whether it was a craft from “somewhere else” or, as Noyes suggested, a strange meteorological phenomenon, the fact is that it was caught on film by a military pilot (or pilots), in British airspace, and remained unidentified.
A study of the available and now-declassified UFO reports of the Ministry of Defense shows that, across the decades, it preserved thousands of reports submitted by the general public. Many of those reports described nothing stranger than sightings of mere lights in the sky. Yet, they were all carefully kept on file. But, evidence obtained by the military was seemingly destroyed. To me, that doesn’t make sense. Unless, of course, there’s another explanation: that, to this day, the footage remains classified and far away from the prying eyes of Ufologists. And even from employees of the Ministry of Defense, too.
UFOs and horror have always gone hand-in-hand in Hollywood. Ever since 1951 whenThe Thing from Another Worldterrified cinemagoers with its giant humanoid vegetable monster, audiences have revelled in the repulsion of silver screen aliens. But while the majority of Hollywood’s ETs are invasive, not all are explicitly horrific or soul-chillingly scary.
The popularization of abduction mythology in the late-1980s and early-1990s gave Hollywood a rich new vein to tap – one that lent itself naturally to the horror genre. Helpless victims being snatched from their familiar surroundings in the dead of night by stealthy non-human entities is horror that writes itself.
The Hollywood adaptations of Whitley Strieber’s Communionand Budd Hopkins’Intruders (1989 and 1992 respectively) represented the industry’s first attempts to engage seriously with the abduction phenomenon in its full spectrum of weirdness as reported by experiencers. As real life does not conform to genre, so Communion andIntruders came in a mixture of shades: sci-fi, horror, family drama, but above all else they were existential stories. Unfortunately, such genre-defying products didn’t sit well with studio bosses, who wanted easy-to-package narratives for increasingly dumbed-down audiences.
Hollywood simplified its approach to abductions in 1993 with Fire in the Sky, the big screen adaptation of Travis Walton’s famous true-life account of alien abduction in Arizona in 1975. Tracy Tormé’s screenplay was a reasonably faithful accounting of the Walton experience – that is until its final act, which notoriously distorted Walton’s encounter out of all recognition. The ‘Nordic’ beings described by Travis and their walkabout with him in a spaceport were nowhere to be seen in the movie. Walton’s skittish Grays were replaced with frightful goblin-like beings who literally drag the logger like a sack of spuds through their pestilent, rotting spaceship – all dank tunnels and dripping embryonic sacks – before gluing him to a table with a suffocating membrane and subjecting him to graphic torture with a thick needle to the eyeball. It remains a horrific sequence, so powerful as to erase almost all memory of the events that precede it.
In fairness to the screenwriter, Tormé’s hand was forced away from the word of Walton’s account by jittery studio executives at Paramount, who had threatened to pull the plug on the movie if radical changes weren’t made. Walton himself agreed to these changes, albeit reluctantly. This marked the point in time when alien abduction truly entered the horror genre. Hollywood has never looked back.
Here are four distinctly UFOlogical films from more recent years which have exploited the abduction phenomenon to horrific effect…
The Fourth Kind (2009)
The Fourth Kind was purported by Universal studios to be a true story “based on actual case studies” from the files of Dr. Abigail Tyler, a psychologist who had collected disturbing testimonies from the town of Nome, Alaska, where numerous residents allegedly had vanished since the 1960s. Universal presented archive news clippings online from various Alaskan newspapers, painting a picture of a town historically plagued by UFO sightings and apparent alien abductions.
The movie draws extensively from UFOlogy, featuring a psychologist (à la John Mack) interviewing numerous people whose lives have been turned upside down by mysterious nocturnal disturbances. In a knowing reference to the owl in abduction lore, each of the experiencers report seeing the bird immediately prior to and during their traumas. The owl is later revealed to be a screen memory enforced by the aliens, who here are almost demonic in nature as they physically possess and speak through the bodies of their victims in a dark and twisted tongue, which we are told is Sumerian – a clear reference to the Annunaki of Ancient Astronaut lore. Invasive experimentation is depicted, including procedures on the female reproductive system, but the aliens’ ultimate agenda is left a mystery.
The Fourth Kind was presented as a docudrama featuring “real” footage capturing the events in Nome alongside dramatic reconstructions with Hollywood actors. At various points throughout the film, the ‘dramatic reconstructions’ and ‘real events’ are presented simultaneously in split-screen in order that the viewer can clearly distinguish between the two. But, of course, none of it is real. The “real” footage was fabricated in its entirety, so too were all of the Alaskan news clippings used by Universal in its marketing campaign. Dr. Abigail Tyler never existed, neither did anyone else portrayed in the film. When this elaborate Hollywood sham was revealed, Universal was served with a lawsuit from the Alaska Press Club, to whom the studio agreed to pay $20,000 for undermining the credibility of the various papers whose names had been exploited by the studio. The film went on to make a respectable $49 million from its $10 million investment.
Dark Skies (2013)
Not to be confused with Bryce Zabel’s unrelated Dark Skies TV show from the 1990s, from which this movie brazenly took its title, Dark Skies follows the plight of the Barretts, a suburban family who have been ‘marked’ by evil Grays for nocturnal terrorization and abduction. Husband and wife Daniel and Lacey (Josh Hamilton and Keri Russell) slowly come to accept that the insidious events plaguing their lives have no earthly explanation and, in desperation, turn to local UFOlogist and abductee Edwin Pollard (J.K. Simmons) for answers. Dark Skies is formulaic and predictable, but upon close viewing it demonstrates some understanding of the abduction phenomenon as reported, or at least of its key characteristics. As is standard, some of these characteristics are distorted for horrific effect.
The behaviour of the Grays in Dark Skies is not too far wide of the mark UFOlogically. At times they behave like poltergeists, invisibly raiding the family’s fridge, stealing family photos from their frames, and, in a scene seemingly paying homage to the Poltergeistmovie (1982), elaborately stacking household items in the kitchen. The effect is to bemuse and to frighten. Although exaggerated, these scenes are significant in that numerous abductees have reported paranormal occurrences in conjunction with their experiences – specifically poltergeist phenomena and so-called ‘shadow people.’ These latter phenomena are depicted in Dark Skies in scenes where CCTV captures blurry images of shadow-like figures silently infiltrating the family’s home at night, looming at the children’s bedsides. In this respect the movie is faithful to abduction literature, which describes Grays and other entities effortlessly gaining access to abductees in any given environment – windows, doors, even brick walls are no obstacle for intelligences who consistently demonstrate almost supernatural abilities.
Dark Skies features UFOlogical flourishes from start to finish, suggesting a reasonable level of research on the part of writer/director Scott Stewart. Paintings of owls hang prominently in a child’s bedroom, family members experience missing time, disorientation, nose bleeds; they discover implants in their bodies and unexplainable marks on their skin, including bruises and even geometric shapes, as has so often been reported in real life cases.
Dark Skies received poor to middling reviews from critics, but went on to gross a very respectable $27 million against its very modest $3.5 million budget.
Alien Abduction (2014)
This found-footage flick received limited theatrical distribution following a Video on Demand release. The events of the movie are documented by an autistic eleven-year-old-boy (played by Riley Polanski), who, along with his family, is attacked and abducted by Grays while on a camping trip in the Brown Mountains of North Carolina – a region known in real life for its folklore relating to mysterious lights in the sky.
Seeking to blur UFO fact and fantasy, the movie opens with text informing us that what follows is “actual leaked footage from the US Air Force.” We then see shaky-cam shots filmed inside the alien spacecraft of people being tortured. Screams fill the thick, putrid air. As in Fire in the Sky, and in sharp contrast to experiencer testimonies, the alien environment here is dungeon-like.
The narrative then begins proper, as Riley’s camera footage reveals to us the events that befell him and his family, which play out almost like a stalk-and-slash story. A substantial chunk of the action takes place in a tunnel on a lonely road, wherein the family stumble across dozens of abandoned cars, their drivers and passengers apparently having been abducted en masse. The method of abduction is a violent and messy one, requiring the abductee to be directly within the clawing grasp of a Gray, or clearly within a tractor beam. The aliens here seem far away from thinking, reasoning beings. They are brutal monsters whose methods are crude and dirty.
When all family members have been killed or abducted, including Riley (whose camera continues to film aboard the spaceship before being jettisoned back down to earth by a snarling Gray), the footage is retrieved by Project Blue Book personnel. A card reads: “All footage property of the U.S. Air Force: Project Blue Book Case #4499.”
Extraterrestrial (2014)
In a well-worn horror setup, a group of young friends gather for a good time at a secluded cabin in the woods. It’s not zombies or demons who spoil their fun, though, but tall Grays, who have crashed their flying saucer nearby. Extraterrestrial plays out as ‘teens vs. aliens’ with a heavy debt to UFOlogy. Fire in the Sky, in particular, served as a strong influence. The opening scene is a clear homage to the phone box scene in Firewhere a traumatized, animal-like Travis Walton desperately calls for help following his abduction. Extraterrestrial even features a scene which mirrors almost shot-for-shot the famous scene in the Walton movie where Travis steps out of the car and gazes awestruck at the craft above, only to be ‘zapped’ by a beam of light before being taken. The interior of the spaceship in Extraterrestrial is very much like that in the Walton movie – organic, dank, and gooey. If these allusions weren’t subtle enough, the name of one the characters in Extraterrestrial, Michael Ironside’s gruff woodsman, is Travis.
Beyond its homages to Fire in the Sky, Extraterrestrial references other UFOlogical facets and events. The plot features animal mutilations and a crashed UFO with wreckage “like tinfoil,” a description used by Roswell witnesses. There is even a Project Moon Dust-style crash/retrieval team, whose government bosses have maintained a treaty with the aliens since 1947. The treaty, we are told, is “a basic simple agreement with one cardinal rule: do not engage.” Essentially, then, the government has been turning a blind-eye to the aliens’ human experimentations for almost seven decades. The experiments in Extraterrestrial are restricted mainly to lethal anal probings with large metal drills. The aliens here are monsters, nothing more. How such violent creatures survived long enough as a species to develop interstellar or transdimensional travel is, unsurprisingly, never considered.
Tens-of-thousands of individuals the world over continue to report physical and/or mental interactions with otherworldly intelligences. Regardless of one’s personal perspective on such accounts, it seems fair to say that Hollywood’s treatment of the abduction phenomenon has been generally crude and simplistic. Today, Hollywood shows little sign of engaging with abduction lore beyond its most obvious horror tropes; little interest in exploring the oft-reported psychologically and spiritually transformative aspects of these experiences at individual and collective levels. Yes, abduction movies of the future can (and perhaps should) still be deeply scary, but scares needn’t always come at the expense of narrative nuance and psychological complexity. I, for one, hope more filmmakers begin to recognize this subject for the rich tapestry of human emotion it truly represents. Theirs would be the movies I’d pay to see.
In 1909, the U.K. was hit by a strange wave of largely night-time encounters with what many might term UFOs. Particularly hard hit by the mysterious, aerial intruders was Wales. Brett Holman, who has extensively studied this issue, says in an excellent article: “On the night of 23 March 1909, a police constable named Kettle saw a most unusual thing: ‘a strange, cigar-shaped craft passing over the city’ of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. His friends were skeptical, but his story was corroborated, to an extent, by Mr Banyard and Mrs Day, both of nearby March, who separately saw something similar two nights later. In fact, these incidents were only the prelude to a series of several dozen such sightings throughout April and especially May, mostly from East Anglia and South Wales.”
In May of the same year, the London Standard newspaper told its readers that with “few exceptions” the witnesses described seeing “a torpedo-shaped object, possessing two powerful searchlights, which comes out early at night.” May 18, 1909 was the night on which one of the most amazing encounters occurred. A Mr. C. Lethbridge was walking to his Roland Street, Cardiff home, via the 271-meter-high Caerphilly Mountain. As he did so, Lethbridge was astonished by the sight of a cigar-shaped vehicle – in excess of forty-feet in length – which was sitting on the grass, at the edge of a mountain road. In his very own words…
“When I turned the bend at the summit I was surprised to see a long tube-shaped affair on the grass on the roadside, with two men busily engaged with something nearby. They attracted my close attention because of their peculiar getup; they appeared to have big heavy fur coats and fur caps fitting tightly over their heads. I was rather frightened, but I continued to go on until I was within twenty yards of them, and then my idea as to their clothing was confirmed.
“The noise of my little spring cart seemed to attract them, and when they saw me they jumped up and jabbered furiously to each other in a strange lingo — Welsh or something else; it was certainly not English. They hurriedly collected something off the ground, and then I was really frightened. The long thing on the ground rose up slowly. I was standing still at the time, quite amazed, and when it was hanging a few feet off the ground the men jumped into a kind of little carriage suspended from it, and gradually the whole affair and the men rose in the air in a zigzag fashion. When they had cleared the telegraph wires that pass over the mountain, two lights like electric lamps shone out, and the thing went higher into the air, and sailed away towards Cardiff.”
UFO researcher David Clarke says: “Lethbridge’s story was supported by a number of independent witnesses at the Cardiff Docks who claimed they had spotted an airship pass overhead as they enjoyed a supper-break at 1.15 am on 19 May. This was just two hours after the airship left Caerphilly Mountain.” It should noted, however, that Clarke adds: “Charles Fort, writing in 1931, erred on the side of caution by categorizing the story as a publicity stunt. However, experienced reporters who interviewed Lethbridge at the Cardiff offices of the South Wales Daily News claimed that he was ‘an elderly man, of quiet demeanor, and did not strike one as given to romancing.'”
Ray Boeche, of Lincoln, Nebraska, is an Anglican priest and a former state-director for the Mutual UFO Network: MUFON. A firm believer in the existence of the UFO phenomenon, Boeche does not believe it has extraterrestrial origins. Rather, his conclusion is that the phenomenon is demonic – and that includes the darkly-suited figures known as the Men in Black. Boeche says (in UFOs: Caught in a Web of Deception):
“The Welsh airship flap of 1909 resulted in many MIB-like encounters, the mysterious visitors usually reported to have been speaking in some strange, unknown language. An event from four years earlier, in 1905, may be even more interesting. During the spring of that year, Wales was inundated with sightings of mysterious aerial lights. On March 30, 1905, the Barmouth Advertiser carried this item: ‘In the neighborhood dwells an exceptionally intelligent young woman of the peasant stock, whose bedroom has been visited three nights in succession by a man dressed in black. This figure has delivered a message to the girl which she is too frightened to relate.'”

Experts say it’s too late to hide from Aliens
Experts say it’s too late to hide from Aliens
According to experts, we need to think to be more cautious about the messages we send to space in hopes of contacting our cosmic neighbors.
It’s too late to conceal ourselves in the universe say, researchers.
Scientists believe that if there is an alien civilization out there somewhere, they most likely already know we exist. That’s according to claims made by a group of researchers who think we need to be more careful next time when we send out messages out into space hoping that one day, our galactic neighbors will respond.
In an interview, Douglas Vakoch, president of the San Francisco-based non-profit Meti (Messaging Extraterrestrial Intelligence) International said that the current signals that are being sent into space are far too simplistic. In fact, the messages might be considered as primitive by any alien civilization that intercepts the messages sent by earthlings, and therefore may not be easy to interpret the way we intended it.
“It’s too late to conceal ourselves in the universe, so we should decide how we want to represent ourselves, Vakoch told Forbes. Extraterrestrials may be waiting for a clear indication from us that we’re ready to start talking.”
That’s why his team at METI International have kickstarted a new campaign that aims to develop messages for extraterrestrial civilizations that are both informative and provocative.
Their plans are big, in fact, they want to send out the first radio transmission by the end of 2018, emphasizing on messages that will reveal basic mathematical and scientific concepts, which any alien civilization in the cosmos should be able to interpret.
‘It would be ideal to use a powerful transmitter like those used for planetary radar studies, such as Arecibo Observatory,’ said Vakoch.
Actually in the past, some similar signals have already been sent out into space, with perhaps the most famous one being sent out by the Arecibo radio telescope in 1974.
The binary digits in the message reveal information about our star system, the human species, and Earth’s biochemistry. But according to Vakoch, we need to include an instruction manual so to speak, so that extraterrestrials can decode the messages we send out more easily.
„There are a lot of hidden assumptions embedded in the ways we portray three-dimensional objects on two-dimensional surfaces,’ said Vakoch. Even if aliens use pictures, they may use a different set of conventions to map solid objects onto flat surfaces.“
During his interview with Fobes, Vakoch said that the messages we send out need to be more detailed. Instead of sending only a few details on the biochemistry of our planet, we should include the entire Periodic Table of Elements.
However, not everyone is so optimistic about searching for aliens and hoping that one day, they contacted us or visited Earth.
In February, a leading scientists at Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) commented that if aliens did visit Earth, they would take control thanks to their advanced technology, giving them an edge and ultimately leading them to make the rules on Earth.
Astronomer and co-founder of the Seti Institute Jill Tarter told TechCrunch: ‘If they showed up on our doorstep that means they have technologies that are considerably advanced with respect to ours. And because of that, they’re going to be the ones that set the rules.’
However, there are hopes that Aliens Species are peaceful and intend no harm. She explained that if such an advanced alien species had developed the technology to travel long distances across space, they must have learned to behave in a peaceful manner.
Interestingly, according to NASA’s chief scientist Ellen Stofan, it’s very likely that in the next 20 to 30 years, we could find evidence of alien life forms.
In March, Clinton — the presumptive nominee for the Democratic nomination for president — went on Jimmy Kimmel Live and said she’ll do her best to delve into government files surrounding possible UFO sightings.
“I would like us to go into those files and hopefully make as much of that public as possible. If there’s nothing there, let’s tell people there’s nothing there,” Clinton said on Kimmel’s show.
“If there is something there, unless it’s a threat to national security, I think we ought to share it with the public.”
Clinton isn’t alone in her curiosity about aliens on Earth.
According to one poll released in 2012 and conducted by the company Kelton Research, about 36 percent of the United States population believes in UFOs.
“This is not a fringe thing,” SETI Institute astronomer Seth Shostak told Mashable in an interview.
The Central Intelligence Agency has released a full database of public UFO files, yet the interest in a possible government conspiracy still hasn’t died down.
If Clinton is chosen as the nominee and eventually elected as president, she will join a list of presidents who also have thoughts about UFOs, and even their own sightings to share.
Harry Truman
One of the main incidents that sparked UFO fever in the United States happened during Harry Truman’s presidency in the 1940s.
In 1947, an object crashed near Roswell, New Mexico sparking years of UFO conspiracy theories that have persisted through today. After initial media reports classified the object found in Roswell as a “flying saucer,” the U.S. military claimed it was actually a weather balloon.
In fact, the piece of debris appears to have been part of a project called “Project Mogul” designed to spy on Soviet Union nuclear tests, according to the History Channel.
For his part, Truman joked about flying saucers with the media at least once, according to a transcript of a press conference from July 10, 1947.
When asked if he had seen any flying saucers by a reporter Truman said, “Only in the newspapers,” joking after a follow up, “did you ever hear of the moon hoax?”
Jimmy Carter
Former president Jimmy Carter has a very personal relationship with the controversy surrounding UFOs.
Carter has opened up about a UFO sighting he experienced while in Georgia, in 1969 before his presidency began.
“I was outside a school lunch room one night right before sundown. It was getting dark and we were getting ready to eat supper. And I and about 25 men were standing around and all of a sudden in the western sky we saw a strange light coming toward us, a round light,” Carter said on Larry King Live.
“It got closer and closer and right above the pine trees it stopped and then it began to change colors from blue, to red, to white. Then it stayed there for a while. We were all aghast. We didn’t know what it was. And then it just disappeared into the west. That was the end of it.”
Carter didn’t attribute the event to some kind of alien encounter, however.
“I have never thought and still don’t think it is possible for creatures from Mars to visit us and then come back home,” he added.
"Carter made a request through his science advisor Frank Press in 1977 asking NASA to look into UFOs, Even though the request came from the highest office in the land, NASA declined," Kean told Mashable via email.
"This shows that even presidents can not always get information about some topics."
According to an account by pilot Bill Paynter, Reagan was flying in a plane with Paynter and others when they say a “big light flying a bit behind the plane.”
That light then accelerated to a high speed and flew off.
Paynter didn’t file a report, but, according to Alexander, the pilot and Reagan would talk about the UFO experience.
Alexander also said that Reagan discussed the UFO sighting with a reporter at the Wall Street Journal.
"We followed it for several minutes. It was a bright white light. We followed it to Bakersfield and all of a sudden, to our utter amazement, it went straight up into the heavens,” according to Alexander’s book.
Bill Clinton
Hillary Clinton’s husband and former president Bill Clinton, also spoke out about his thoughts regarding aliens and UFOs on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2014.
Bill said that he looked into the truth about Area 51 when he was president and had “all the Roswell papers reviewed,” anticipating that the White House would get a lot of letters on the anniversary of the Roswell incident.
“First I had people go look at the records on Area 51 to make sure there was no alien down there,” Clinton said during the appearance.
“People thought that because everyone who works there has to stop about an hour away and put on special clothing and then drive in and out, and that’s because a lot of our stealth technology is made there. We know that now, but there are no aliens there.”
Bill Clinton is a space geek when it comes to science in general as well.
On that same appearance with Kimmel, Clinton waxed a little poetic about how there is, in fact, a good chance that life in some form exists out in the universe. Clinton said that there are plenty of planets outside of our solar system that could potentially support life.
“It makes it increasingly less likely that we’re alone,” Clinton said.
Barack Obama
President Barack Obama has commented on possible alien conspiracy theories a few times during his presidency and even during his campaign.
Most of Obama’s comments about possible UFOs or aliens tend to be on the joking side or are used as an attempt to pivot back to issues affecting people living on Earth now.
For instance, during a 2007 debate, presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich was asked about a somewhat bizarre story involving his report of seeing a UFO.
When Obama was asked his thoughts pertaining to “life beyond Earth” on the heels of that story, he said “I don’t know and I don’t presume to know. What I know is there is life here on Earth and that we’re not attending to life here on Earth.”
“People always ask me about Roswell and the aliens and UFOs, and it turns out the stuff going on that’s top secret isn’t nearly as exciting as you expect,” Obama said during the interview. “In this day and age, it’s not as top secret as you’d think.”
In 2013, during Obama’s presidency, the government also declassified more than 60 documents from the 1960s and 1970s about goings on at Area 51, according toSpace.com.
PRESIDENT Barack Obama will reveal to the world intelligent aliens exist and have visited Earth before the end of his final term, according to a US lobbyist.
President Obama will announce this year aliens exist, according to Paradigm Research Group
Steve Bassett, executive director of the Paradigm Research Group, is the only registered "alien disclosure" lobbyist in the United States and has been campaigning for the White House to come clean about what it really knows for the past 20 years.
In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, the 69-year-old set out why he is convinced 2016 will be the year for the world's most historic ever announcement.
There was an air of excitement about Mr Bassett as he arrived at the Daily Express offices in London during a visit to the UK and Europe to gather international support for a 20-year mission.
He was clutching a mock-up Daily Express front page he created with the words "We Are Not Alone" over the face of an alien as the top story.
He said: "This will be a reality this year and across the front pages of newspapers across the world. The most significant news story that has ever been broken."
Mr Bassett is convinced his two decades of work are about to bear fruit.
So why 2016?
A media storm has slowly been brewing on both sides of the Atlantic.
The presidential hopeful pledged to send a task force into the mysterious Area 51 military base in Nevada, where UFO conspiracists believe evidence of alien technology is hidden away, should she win office.
Her campaign manager John Podesta also spoke publicly about their bid to release top-secret UFO files.
But, in the background before this Camp Clinton had been making other moves.
Twenty-two months after Bill Clinton left office Mr Podesta called for the release of all UFO files to the public on October 22, 2002 at the National Press Club and did the same there a year later.
In 2010 Mr Podesta restated his desire for disclosure in a foreword to the book UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go on the Record by Leslie Kean.
In February 2015 Mr Podesta tweeted: "My biggest failure of 2014: Once again not securing the "disclosure of the UFO files."
On September 29 2015 Mr Podesta tweeted about a reporter's interview with Mrs Clinton, saying: "Ask her about aliens next time! #thetruthisoutthere."
Mr Bassett believes Mrs Clinton and Mr Podesta know or strongly suspect aliens are real, and her campaigning on the subject is to make sure she is seen to be at the heart of it when the disclosure comes.
But he is not convinced she will be the president to make the announcement or even make it into office.
International UFO media coverage on the Paradigm Research Group website
The so-called disclosure movement are convinced that world leaders agreed a "truth embargo" on preventing the truth of alien visitations coming out after a legendary "flying saucer crash" in the New Mexico desert decades ago.
Roswell has been at the heart of the UFO myth since July 1947 when the military sensationally announced it had found the remains of a crashed flying saucer near Roswell, New Mexico.
Next day, it retracted this, saying it was a damaged weather balloon.
Witnesses later came forward to say there had been alien bodies within the "crashed craft", which along with wreckage were taken to Area 51.
Mr Bassett said: "After Roswell the truth embargo was put in place under Truman, led by the US, but the UK Government and other countries agreed to it."
International media organisations also agreed to be bound by it, he believes.
He now firmly believes after Camp Clinton raised the alien issue in mainstream media for several months, the truth embargo is now being breached by US newspapers.
He feels these media outlets would not have touched the story just a few months ago, and the White House will now no longer be able to contain the secret.
Mr Bassett is convinced aliens are real and have engaged with world leaders on Earth, but it has been the globe's best kept secret.
This is despite never having seen a completely inexplicable UFO or alien being.
But he feels the actions of Mrs Clinton and Mr Podesta go a long way to proving it.
He said: "The only circumstance under which a leading presidential candidate, her president husband and their common advisor would repeatedly speak to the extraterrestrial phenomena issue during a campaign, is when their collective brain trust is fully aware the extraterrestrial presence is fact.
"This simple exercise in logical deduction confirms why a media tsunami the height of the Washington Monument is heading toward the truth embargo's beach.
"ET is real, we have got beyond that.
"We are going to get disclosure this year. I am not sure who will win the election, but I think Obama will be the disclosure president.
"He will be looking at a Nobel Prize for making an announcement like that. I am 85 per cent sure Obama will make the announcement before he leaves office and within days your Prime Minister David Cameron will follow."
Mr Bassett believes that super powers Russia and China and other nations are in on the "truth embargo" swell, and he is puzzled as to why Russian President Vladimir Putin has never sought to reveal the truth to the world as he is not within the "US agenda".
But Mr Bassett refuted any suggestions he is backing Mrs Clinton for political reasons.
He said: "I am not trying to get Hillary Clinton elected, I just constantly send stuff to her and Mr Podesta."
Mr Bassett and his supporters have been buoyed by the campaigning of Camp Clinton, as it has led to White House press secretary Josh Earnest facing tough grillings from reportersabout the alien issue at the last two press briefings.
Mr Bassett said: "I am trying to force Obama to make the disclosure. I think we are going to get there.
According to Stephen Basset, a leading UFO disclosure lobbyist, there is reason to believe that President Barack Obama is “on the brink” of making an earthshaking UFO and extra-terrestrial (ET) disclosure announcement before he leaves office at the end of his term.
Stephen Bassett, 69, the executive director of U.S.-based Paradigm Research Group (PRG), believes that following Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s UFO and alien disclosure campaign promise, President Obama has come under pressure and he is on the brink of caving in to the pressure by making an announcement to the world before he leaves office that intelligent extraterrestrial beings have visited Earth before.
According to U.K.’s the Daily Express, Mr. Bassett, “the only registered ‘alien disclosure’ lobbyist in the U.S,” has spearheaded a UFO disclosure campaign spanning two decades. His organization has lobbied members of Congress and the executive branch of government to declassify all files on UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
In a recent interview with the Daily Express, Bassett, bubbling with optimism, said recent developments have led members of the UFO disclosure movement to the conviction that their efforts over the decades are about to bear fruit.
He said he believes that Obama will make historic announcement to Americans and the world this year that “we are not alone,” and that the U.S. government knows that aliens exist having made contact in the past with extraterrestrial intelligence.
“This [UFO Disclosure] will be a reality this year and across the front pages of newspapers across the world. The most significant news story that has ever been broken,” he said.
Explaining the basis of his optimism that 2016 will be the year of full ET and UFO disclosure, Bassett said that more people are taking interest in UFO and ET issues. The mainstream media has also been covering UFO and ET-related issues more extensively recently. The apparent impact of increased public interest and media coverage has been that for the first time in the history of the country, a presidential candidate, the Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, has made UFO disclosure a campaign issue.
The Inquisitrreported in January of 2016 that the former secretary of state promised members of the UFO and ET disclosure movement that if elected president of the United States of America, she would “get to the bottom” of the mystery about what the government knows about UFOs and ETs.
“I think we may have been visited already. We don’t know for sure.”
She said she would push for release of all classified government records and files on UFOs and Area 51, the remote Air Force base in Nevada where, according to members of the UFO community, the government is keeping alien technology recovered from UFO crash sites.
Clinton reiterated her commitment to the UFO disclosure during a recent late night TV interview with Jimmy Kimmel. She said that if elected as president, she would try to open all classified UFO files provided that the move does not compromise national security.
Clinton’s campaign manager, John Podesta, well-known in UFO circles as an enthusiast, also confirmed in a number of interviews that he has spoken with Clinton about the issue of UFO disclosure and secured her commitment to push for UFO disclosure if elected president.
Podesta had called for the release of all classified UFO files at a National Press Club meeting in 2002. He tweeted famously in February, 2015, after he left his position as special adviser to President Obama, saying, “My biggest failure of 2014: Once again not securing the disclosure of the UFO files.”
In the interview with the Express, Bassett implied that the decision by Clinton and her campaign manager, Podesta, to bring up the issue of UFO disclosure as part of their campaign platform indicates behind-the-scene developments that could lead to full disclosure. He implied that Clinton has come out openly about the issue because she knows something that other Americans don’t — that full disclosure is inevitable and imminent.
Clinton’s campaigning on a UFO disclosure platform, according to Bassett, is part of efforts to position herself so that she can be part of the UFO disclosure breakthrough when it happens.
The Express’s Jon Austin reports Bassett said, “The only circumstance under which a leading presidential candidate, her president husband and their common advisor would repeatedly speak to the extraterrestrial phenomena issue during a campaign, is when their collective brain trust is fully aware the extraterrestrial presence is fact.”
But Bassett said he was convinced that Clinton would not be the president to make the historic announcement. He said he was convinced that Obama would make the announcement before he leaves office.
“We are going to get disclosure this year. I am not sure who will win the election, but I think Obama will be the disclosure president,” he said. “He will be looking at a Nobel Prize for making an announcement like that. I am 85 percent sure Obama will make the announcement before he leaves office and within days your Prime Minister David Cameron will follow.”
Mr. Bassett is among members of the UFO disclosure movement who believe that the U.S. government has had contact with aliens in the past.
The Inquistirreported in April that some members of the UFO community believe that President Dwight Eisenhower concluded treaties with certain alien races, such as the Grays.
He reportedly held a secret “First Contact Meeting” with ET visitors during the early hours of February 21, 1954, at Edwards Air Force Base in southern California. A series of follow-up meetings led to the signing of a treaty between the U.S. movement and the Gray aliens.
Bassett went on to claim that he believes that the reason why other governments around the world have not made UFO and ET disclosures independently is that following the famous incident at Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947, when U.S. authorities reportedly recovered a crashed alien UFO from a ranch near the town, governments around the world agreed to a “truth embargo.”
And despite the fact that several private individuals who witnessed the crash or had spoken with witnesses came forward over the decades to make critical disclosures, the “truth embargo” has remained in place.
However, Bassett could not explain why President Vladimir Putin of Russia has not attempted to get a jump on the Americans by making the announcement on his own.
He said that with Clinton’s campaign promise to work towards full disclosure and the increasing willingness of the media to talk about it, Obama is under pressure and he would likely make the disclosure himself before he leaves office.

UFO or NASA weather balloon? There are a wealth of UFO sightings around the world. There is also always someone around to see it. These videos are full of shaky footage and interesting commentary. Could it be a UFO? And the video is put to the test through peer evaluation, usually on YouTube. Rational folk always have an answer. A drone. Trump flying around with bat wings. Or a simpler explanation, a NASA weather balloon. It would be difficult to dismiss the chance that a real UFO has been caught on film. But over the next 100 days or so, you may simply be recording a NASA weather balloon. Since NASA has one hovering around the earth somewhere at an altitude in upwards of 100,000 feet.
NASA Super Balloon may Cause Alien Hysteria
It may seem silly to believe NASA when they say that your UFO footage is, in fact, a weather balloon. However, this time, the space agency may be telling the truth. NASA’s super pressure balloon is a lofty teardrop looking monstrosity during the day hours. But at night, it kind of resembles a saucer shaped UFO floating about. This could cause a few mix-ups for those avid believers. NASA has recently launched their 18 million cubic foot weather balloon. It is similar to their stratosphere balloon. The one that failed over Australia and caused quite an alien-infused stir. Must be cool to be in the NASA billion dollar balloon department.
Could this ‘Weather Balloon’ be Headed for Space?
The cunning space agency that has a long line of conspiracy theories surrounding it may be telling the truth this time. But they may be lying about the balloons destination. Maybe it isn’t a weather balloon at all. NASA may be sending this super high-tech bag full of air to space. With UFO enthusiasts spending every waking hour watching live feeds from the ISS, it would be hard to pass any secret alien messages. The “weather balloon” could be headed for space. It could be some UFO linkup device that aliens will intercept in space and then send it back to Earth. From space. It may sound insane. But we should all ask ourselves why NASA is being so open about this project?
The Secret UFO Hookup
NASA’s aim for this potential space balloon is to send it 100,000 feet into the sky for 100 days. The odds of the balloon being some alien communication platform are slim. The space agency is being very transparent on this particular project. In an effort to decrease UFO sighting possibilities, they are launching a real-time map that shows the balloons location. Available to all those who want to find the balloon and record footage of it anyway.

Clinton won't get UFO truth because US Presidents ARE kept 'in the dark', says insider
Clinton won't get UFO truth because US Presidents ARE kept 'in the dark', says insider
A FORMER senior US national security chief has claimed senior White House officials and even US Presidents are kept in the DARK about sensitive subjects.
Chris Mellon, left, says Hillary Clinton won't get access to files on Area 51 (top left) and UFOs
Christopher Mellon claims Hillary Clinton's bid to crack open the country's alleged secret database of UFO intelligence reports and draw out the truth about the mysterious military base Area 51 in Nevada, will hit a brick wall even if she does become the next president.
Mr Mellon was asked if he thought she would route out any "information on classified government programs involving UFOs."
But he said that even for Presidents information was on a "need to know basis", particularly around new weaopans.
He said: "I recall instances when White House officials sought briefings on highly compartmented Department of Defence (DoD) programs and were flatly refused.
GETTY
Hillary Clinton aims to become the "UFO disclosure" president
I recall instances when White House officials sought briefings on highly compartmented Department of Defence (DoD) programs and were flatly refused.
Chris Mellon
"Access to such programs is on a need to know basis. In general, nobody outside DoD, including the Secretary of State, is deemed to have a need to know.
"Officials like John Podesta and Secretary Clinton can easily serve for years in senior positions and be avid consumers of classified intelligence analysis but never obtain access to DoD’s compartmented programs, which mostly relate to new weapons systems.
"Information about such programs rarely leaks because it doesn’t circulate, unlike the constant stream of leaked information regarding classified intelligence activities."
Mr Mellon has had years of high-level clearance involvement in the Department of Defence (DoD).
He said he doubted any UFO files of any relevance or information about Area 51 would come to light if Mrs Clinton makes the White House.
He said: "While a few new, previously overlooked documents might turn up, I do not believe they would resolve the UFO issue or provide significant new insights.
"I think the conspiracy theorists will be angry and unconvinced.
"If Clinton really wants to get to the bottom of the UFO issue, I think she should officially task NORAD with collection and analysis responsibility.
"Simultaneously, she should assign the Office of Science and Technology Policy the job of reviewing available evidence, coordinating with other countries and providing scientific assessments and recommendations."
Mrs Clinton and campaign manager Mr Podesta have been vocal about wanting to open the UFO and Area 51 files since January - and it has now become a focal point of her campaign.
Steve Bassett, executive of Paradigm Research Group, which has campaigned for disclosure of all UFO files for 20 years, told www.express.co.uk: "An elected president should be able to go anywhere and request any information, but it is done on a need-to-knoe basis, and it goes against the constitution, but the people just accept that's the way it is."
These mysterious disappearances have encouraged several bizarre theories of UFOs and supernatural occurrences in the so-called Bass Strait Triangle.
Ever since George Bass and Matthew Flinders rounded Cape Grim on the North-West Coast in December, 1798, Bass Strait has been renowned for many peculiar and frightening incidents.
In his book, Mysteries of the Bass Strait Triangle, Jack Loney was realistic about these “triangle mysteries’’.
“While our American friends discuss the strange Bermuda Triangle and link it with UFOs and the supernatural, we can say that most of our disasters were probably caused by storms, tidal waves, pirates, negligence and other perfectly natural causes,’’ he said.
As we all well know, the forces of nature can swiftly whip up giant seas and violent gales in Bass Strait.
The King Island marine graveyard is evidence enough of this but there have been disappearances which cannot be easily explained.
Chief among these was the disappearance of Frederick Valentich and the single-engine Cessna he was piloting en route to King Island in October, 1978.
How the Melbourne Sun newspaper reported the UFO story about Valentich's disappearance.
The incident attracted worldwide interest because Valentich reported making contact with a UFO moments before losing radio contact with Flight Service, Melbourne.
The Valentich mystery is the subject of the 1980 book, The Devil’s Meridian, written by journalists Kevin Killey and Gary Lester.
For six minutes Valentich described the amazing speed, appearance and manoeuvrability of the UFO.
At the end of this conversation, the engine of his plane was heard to malfunction and radio contact was lost.
His last words were: “That strange aircraft is hovering on top of me again. It ... is hovering and it’s not an aircraft.’’ Killey and Lester described in their book how a metallic clicking sound followed for the next 17 seconds. Then there was silence.
Despite an extensive search, no sign of Valentich or his aircraft was ever found.
That same day, a King Island woman, Geelong youths playing cricket and tennis, and a woman and her teenage son on their way to Cape Otway on the northern coast of Victoria all reported seeing strange lights or objects in the sky.
The official response was that Valentich had become disorientated in the “twilight zone’’ between dusk and full dark.
The theory was he was flying upside down – and had actually seen his aircraft’s lights reflected on the water before crashing into Bass Strait.
Another famous Tasmanian UFO sighting was of a dome-shaped object which is reported to have landed at Little Oyster Cove near Kettering, south of Hobart, in February 1976.
A 39-year-old man said he woke at night to see what he thought was a plane coming down nearby. Thinking it was a crash, he rushed to the area to find a dome-shaped object with bright lights glowing from its windows which had landed on a grassed area. He described watching it for about seven minutes before it took off with a loud whirring sound and disappeared into the night sky with increasing speed.
The following morning he noticed a scorched area on the grass where it had been.

What Was The World’s Earliest Documented UFO Sighting?
What Was The World’s Earliest Documented UFO Sighting?
UFOs – Unidentified Flying Objects – are real. Of course they are: Hundreds of people see mysterious objects in the sky all the time. However, some are considered by a more eccentric few to represent something more enigmatic and alien. Either way, there have been reported sightings of these levitating blobs and lights for years. Now, a historian has revealed that he has uncovered evidence of what may be the first-ever documented UFO sighting – which was made in Hull, England, way back in 1801.
Although the earliest UFO image was taken from the summit of Mount Washington, New Hampshire, in 1870, sightings of these mysterious objects may have stretched back even earlier, with some evidence only put down in writing. Mike Covell, an author and historian, perused through newspaper archives from the beginning of the 19th century, and discovered a written description in the newspaper, the Northampton Mercury, of a huge, moon-like orb that appeared over the city at roughly 1:00 a.m. on July 11, 1801, accompanied by a weird blue light.
The “immense moon” also had a black bar running across it. According to the Mirror, the report said: “It seemed then to form itself into seven small distinct moons or globes of fire which disappeared for the space of a few seconds. Its reappearance was equally brilliant, at first showing itself like the face of the moon, afterwards in five circular balls, and lastly like several small stars which gradually faded away, leaving the whole atmosphere brilliantly illuminated.”
Another local newspaper, the Chester Chronicle, described the weird blue light emitted by the object – but a week later, on July 17.
It isn’t immediately clear that a UFO sighting older than this hasn’t also occurred – perhaps the records haven’t been checked yet. In fact, according to TIME, the earliest UFO sighting in recorded history can be found in 4th century Chinese tomes, which claim that a “moon boat” hovered above the country every 12 years.
“There is a lot of portraits showing stuff flying about in the sky from Biblical times. But it is all open to interpretation – whereas this is real evidence,” Mr. Covell told the Mirror.
We’re not particularly convinced that a written report about a strange light in the sky is conclusive proof of what is inferred to be an alien UFO. Distressingly, the description of the moon-like UFO makes it sound somewhat like the Death Star. Perhaps it did come from a galaxy far, far away after all.
UPDATE: Executive Director Steve Bassett of The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure was paraphrased in the New York Times, also originally cited here. In a comment below he has provided a quote and a clarification that differs from how the Timesdescribed his position. The third paragraph from the bottom has been amended to reflect his clarification.
While past presidents and presidential candidates have joked about UFOs, Hillary Clinton is one of the first mainstream candidates to promise disclosure of classified Area 51, UFO and Unexplained Aerial Phenomena (UAP) documents should she be elected president.
“I want to open the files as much as we can,” Clinton said in a recent radio interview. In the wake of a New York Times article that brought renewed attention to Clinton’s most unexpected campaign commitment, President Barack Obama’s White House was asked to respond.
The answer, from President Obama’s press secretary Josh Earnest, will disappoint UFO enthusiasts still hoping for disclosure on the federal level:
“I have to admit, I don’t have a tab for Area 51 in my briefing book today,” Earnest began. After a joke from the press corp. Earnest proposed a “grand conspiracy” to keep him from answering the question thoroughly.
“I’m not aware of any plans the President has to make public any information about this,” Earnest said, ending hope that UFO disclosure will come from the White House in 2016.
Steve Bassett, executive director of The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure, believes Hillary Clinton’s openness on the issue will prompt the Obama administration to disclose classified extraterrestrial information. “Clinton’s presidential campaign and her connection to the ET issue may offer the best chance to end the truth embargo on the ET issue,” Bassett said. “Obama will be the Disclosure president — hopefully well before the November election.”
Not only has Clinton evinced a past interest in extraterrestrials — in 1995 she was photographed carrying Are We Alone?: Philosophical Implications of the Discovery of Extraterrestrial Life by Paul Davies (above) — but she’ll also have the backing of campaign chairman John Podesta, who has crusaded for the release of government information on unexplained aerial phenomena for decades.
While previous presidential administrations, Obama’s included, have treated declassification of Area 51 and UAP files as a joke, a Clinton presidency might at least take the demand seriously.
